TTPD - my final thoughts

so... this album, according to taylor, came from a need to write. now i actually have the need to write this essay. it's an honest opinion, i gave it one last listen & i analysed all the lyrics. this is how i've spent my entire sunday. if you're a sensitive hardcore swiftie, don't even bother to read it. i've already lost a lot of followers because i was being honest lol. this is mostly for my friends, because they actually care about what i think. so i went through hell every song once again & those are my final thoughts (warning: i'm not being very nice & this is super chaotic & messy, but so is the album):

FORTNIGHT

super boring production & i usually love jack... i also can't believe it's the first single from this album? i like the music video tho. the b&w aesthetics are everything. she is kinda trying to sound like lana here, at least this was my first reaction when i heard this song. "i was a functioning alcoholic til nobody noticed my new aesthetic" - what the fuck does that even mean, i hate this line. "all my mornings are mondays stuck in an endless february" - i feel like she is trying to be poetic but this is such a weird line? kinda reminds me of how the first verse of "red" (the song) was a masterpiece, but she kinda got lost in the second verse, it's like trying to write as many metaphors as you can but they are just... not good. sometimes less is more. "i love you, it's ruining my life" - i love the way she sings this line & this line in general. i kinda like post malone in the outro (even tho i don't listen to his music). i don't give a shit about the lyrics to be honest, it's just not doing anything to me, i'm so indifferent (except those few lines i mentioned). overall it's a boring song & a skip for me. i tried to like it but i just... don't.

THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT

i don't hate this song, but i don't love it either. it has good moments. but it also has terrible ones. also, it's too damn long. i don't know. "you left your typewriter at my apartment, straight from the tortured poets department, i think some things i never say, like who uses typewriters anyway?" - i absolutely fucking love those lines, simple words, nothing "big" but i feel like this is what i love the most about taylor's songwriting - when she's not tying to be poetic & she is just writing simple things like that & i kinda love the way it rhymes, can't explain but this beginning is so good!!! "who's gonna hold you" - i love the way she sings this line. "we're modern idiots" - i also love this. "nofuckingbody" - sounds like something i would say so i'll take it. "you smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate, we declared charlie puth should be a bigger artist, i scratch your head, you fall asleep like a tattooed golden retriever." - & here we fucking go... i hate the way it doesn't rhyme? i usually don't mind it when things don't rhyme but somehow it really bothers me here? also this is such a terrible line & it ruins the whole song for me... i like the melody in the bridge tho & i kinda like how she mentioned jack there? i don't know why.

MY BOY ONLY BREAKS HIS FAVOURITE TOYS

i like the chorus? "once i fix me he's gonna miss me" - i know everyone loves that line but i don't??? i don't know, i just don't.

DOWN BAD

i kinda like the production. the melody is so great. "for a moment i knew cosmic love" - i just ADORE the way she sings it. "fuck it if i can't have him, i might just die, it would make no difference" - love it, so relatable. i don't have much to say about it but i like this song in general, it's not amazing, not a masterpiece, but i do like it & i will probably listen to it sometimes. maybe even add it to some of my playlists.

SO LONG, LONDON

beautiful intro, everybody say "thank you, aaron". i didn't love it on my first listen, it grew on me tho, i even love the production on this one now. it has simple lyrics, but it's beautiful. "so long, london, you'll find someone" - so simple & i love it. i love her voice in this song SO MUCH. "& i'm pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free" - i hate how much i relate. "i'm just mad as hell cause i loved this place... for so long..." - i had a mental breakdown today because of this one line. i can relate. also i think this is the best line in the entire song, at least to me.

BUT DADDY I LOVE HIM

nothing will ever save this song, even my boy aaron dessner. no, actually, the production is not bad, i have so many issues with the lyrics tho... "but daddy i love him! i'm having his baby! no i'm not but you should see your faces!" - i wanna die i wanna pretend i didn't hear it (also it's not only the fact that this line is fucking terrible, but the way she sings "his" - i don't even hear this word? the lyrics says it's there but i can't hear it? & it bothers me so much???). "stay away from her, the saboteurs protested too much" - is this line about us, the fans? the way i fucking laughed, this is embarrassing. (why is this song so long i hate it so much) ok, i hate how much i love the sound of the bridge because the melody is really really good there but the lyrics... "i'll tell you something right now, i'd rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this bitchin' & moanin', i'll tell you something about my good name, it's mine alone to disgrace, i don't cater to all these vipers dressed in empath's clothing, god save the most judgmental creeps who say they want what's best for me, sanctimoniously performing soliloquies i'll never see, thinking it can change the beat of my heart when he touches me and counteract the chemistry and undo the destiny you ain't gotta pray for me, me & my wild boy & all of this wild joy, if all you want is gray for me, then it's just white noise, & it's just my choice" - i'm sorry but the way i laughed I WANNA KILL MYSELF THIS IS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I HATE IT SO MUCH SHE LITERALLY DIDN'T SAY THAT... wild boy, THIS IS SO STUPID OH GOD- i need therapy after listening to this song & i'm afraid she also needs therapy because this is just unhinged. i don't wanna talk about this song ever again, in a perfect world it doesn't exist. let's move on.

FRESH OUT THE SLAMMER

kinda nice melody, don't care about the lyrics at all because it's boring. also, why is she talking about marriage again, she is literally so desperate to get married it's almost scary. it feels like she doesn't even care who she's gonna marry, she just wants to get married, period. oh god.

FLORIDA!!!

i love the vibes, the production is FIRE! love love love florence in the second verse! "and my friends all smell like weed or little babies" - i know what she was trying to say, but i still hate this line lol it's so cringey. "well, me & my ghosts, we had a hell of a time" - love love love this line. ok, but to be fair, i don't know what this song is about, but i am vibing. i love it, it's good.

GUILTY AS SIN?

it grew on me, i love the melody, i love the production. i hate to admit it, because we all know what this song is about, but i actually genuinely love the lyrics. "oh, what a way to die" - love this line & the way she sings it. "i keep recalling things we never did, messy top lip kiss, how i long for our trysts, without ever touching his skin, how can i be guilty as sin?" - i hate myself, i love it so much, god help me. "i keep these longings locked in lowercase inside a vault" - as a lowercase girlie i had no choice but to love this line. ok, idc, i love this song, crucify me if you want.

WHO'S AFRAID OF LITTLE OLD ME?

i love the production, i think it's one of the best songs on this album. the way she screams "who's afraid of little old me?" - LOVE THAT. "well you should be" - love that, it's powerful. i love the entire bridge, it's so good, i just don't like the line "you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me", because wtf, is this about her childhood home? come on taylor, please, be serious. i think the way she sings "that i'm fearsome & i'm wretched & i'm wrong" is my favourite part of this song. i genuinely love it.

I CAN FIX HIM (NO REALLY I CAN)

i don't give a single fuck about this song, i just wanted to say the line "i can handle me a dangerous man" is so fucking stupid, now let's move on because i'm bored.

she sounds really good in this one, i love the entire chorus, the way she sings "it's legendary", the way she sings "you told me i'm the love of your life" with sadness in her voice, i love it. somehow "if you know it in one glimpse, it's legendary" makes me think of "sometimes there's no proof, you just know" & i just made myself cry, idk. i hate "mr steal your girl" it sounds so bad in this song. bridge! so fucking sad!!! "it was legendary, it was momentary, it was unnecessary, should've let it stay buried" - i absolutely love this moment, probably my favourite part of the song. "you're the loss of my life" at the end... bro. it should be track 5.

I CAN DO IT WITH A BROKEN HEART

the post chorus, omg i hate the production, it makes me want to kill myself, it sounds so bad, omg. i genuinely wanna die. "lights camera bitch smile" - i hate it. "he said he'd love me all his life, but that life was too short, breaking down i hit the floor, all the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting more!" - i love this. i really do. the best part of the song for me. "i cry a lot but i am so productive, it's an art" - honey, no. this album is the best proof that it, in fact, isn't art. "cause i'm miserable & nobody even knows!" - but... we knew? (i can't stand this production for real) the ending, oh dear god i hate it so much, it sounds bad, it's terrible, taylor go to therapy because you're clearly not ok & it shows.

THE SMALLEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED

i don't have any thoughts on this song. it's boring & unnecessary, let's just move on (sorry aaron).

THE ALCHEMY

this is the worst song on the album (me about every song). "this happens once every few lifetimes" - taylor, honey, this happens to you with every single man. stop. get some help. all the football references make me want to kill myself, let's just skip it. it's boring anyway. i can't fucking listen to it. oh no, wait... "he jokes that it's heroin but this time with an E" - ???? even MY jokes are funnier. ok, i'm fucking done.

CLARA BOW

not a bad song but the "you look like taylor swift in this light" is so cringey to me. i hate it. it ruins the whole song for me. the production is really good tho, but i don't know. i'm so indifferent. i'm kinda disappointed with this one tbh.

THE BLACK DOG

it's a beautiful song. "old habits die SCREAMING!!!" - the delivery of this line, yes ma'am. "and i may never open the way i did for you" - i love it so much. also the lyrics in the entire song - so simple & beautiful, i love the storytelling here. the melody in the chorus is amazing. "and i hope it's shitty in the black dog" - yeah, me too. i love this song. it's so good & sad. one of the best from this album.

i love the production so much!!! i don't have much to say about the lyrics? i don't love it??? but it's fine i guess. but the production is really interesting, & sometimes that's enough to love the song. maybe it will grow on me. i like it now tho.

"if you wanna break my cold, cold heart" - i fucking love the delivery of this line, she sounds really good here & really sad. actually, the chorus is beautiful. "so if i sell my apartment, & you have some kids with an internet starlet, will that make your memory fade from this scarlet maroon?" - hello? maroon reference? ok i love this, i also love the way things rhyme in this part of the song. the lyrics is so simple & beautiful, once again, less is more. it's a great song.

HOW DID IT END?

the "oh-oh" in the intro, LOVE IT. i really love her voice here. "my beloved ghost & me, sitting in a tree, D-Y-I-N-G" - heartbreaking. & thanks for mentioning me in a song. "but i still don't know, how did it end?" - it kinda makes me think about all my relationships (not only with guys but also with my friends) & how sometimes you really don't know how it happened that they are no longer a part of your life. it makes me feel sad. i love the song.

SO HIGH SCHOOL

i actually like this one. the production is great (good job aaron!), i like the lyrics, i relate to some of this, not gonna get into details tho. none of it is outstanding, but it's a good song. i'm just tired, this album is too damn long.

"way to go tiger" - i love the melody & the way she sings this line. it's such a sweet song & i just learned that robin is aaron's kid's name, i love it. it's nice. nothing amazing, not a masterpiece but i like it.

THE MANUSCRIPT

"if the sex was half as good as the conversation was" - i kinda love this line (no, we are not geting into the details of who this one is about. i just said i love this line). also what a way to end the album: "now & then i re-read the manuscript, but the story isn't mine anymore". i love it, because now these stories are ours. it's like i told bel on friday, i'm gonna make this whole damn album about me & my life.

if you made it to the end, congratulations. to conclude: taylor should have worked more with aaron, less with jack. i usually love jack, but this time i feel like i've heard it all before. i still think this is her worst album. it's too damn long (31 songs!!!). it has some of her worst lyrics ever. most of those songs were totally unnecessary. maybe the entire album was. i genuinely think she should just take a break. i am really disappointed with this album & i am mad as hell because i wanted to love it. well... i made my own version. i think i'm not gonna talk about this album anymore. i also think i need a break from listening to it because i am genuinely tired. bye.

I love watching paranormal videos, as in paranormal investigations. I´ve gotten so used to watching them that I usually even fall asleep now, at least during the day. they still give me the creeps at night. 👻

I have a cat! This probably isnt a random fact, but it is, at least, a fact. this little princess turned two in april and is the most gentle furball you could ever imagine.

I have a great obsession with buying games and never playing them. they all just sit in my steam library waiting to be even downloaded. even games that I was really excited to try out once would be dust collectors if I had them in my apartment. every once in a while I will download them to play for an hour or so, just to go back to either sims, baldurs gate or of course my heavily modded version of skyrim.

Im a blond girlie through and through. When I was 16 I thought it would be a good idea to dye my hair a bright red color, only to start crying about it two weeks later. I looked like a chipmunk for about a year and a half after a hair stylist tried to fix my mistake and started the process to get it back to its natural color. never dyed it myself again.

The first sims game I ever really played was Sims 2, and I still have every single expansion pack there ever was in a box in the basement.

When I was done with school I wanted to become a zookeeper bc I really wanted to work with animals. I applied for an aqua zoo closest to me and got rejected, which is essentially the reason I now work with people. I was really disappointed at first, took me some time to realize that I am not a huge fan of zoos and that job would have made me unhappy in the long run anyways.

I have over 1.500 songs saved as favourites on spotify. When I say I listen to every genre there is, believe me I mean it. ^^

I need my phone organized. there is an album for selfies, friends, my cat, my parents dogs, different vacations, my games are organized as well as social media apps or editing apps like prequel or instasize.

I am learning to do my own gel nails. Its going good so far, no crazy designs yet, but we are getting there.

I like to match my phone cases to the lockscreen and preferably both to the purse I am taking with me. Doesnt always work, and sometimes that mildly bothers me.

Overall the lyrics are simple but the storytelling is just incredible. Nostalgic and heartbreaking, I can listen to this song on a loop and never get sick of it

This song is so special to me (the live version specifically). My dad found this album in his new desk after we moved when I was little and he played it in the car all the time. I HATED it. Then I was old enough to actually understand lyrics and I remember just sitting there in silence afterwards just kind of in awe of how it made me feel. To this day it’s one of my favorite songs.

1. Solstice again. Creeping from the still house into cool air, then a run to smooth waters where even the dogs and their walkers haven’t yet rambled. We swim in almost-silence for a while, like steady kayaks, with a chiffchaff serenading us and the last of the willow fluff dusting the surface of the water, fish occasionally glopping upwards to grab a passing insect.

Home to pick a posy for the table. I must not fall asleep as soon as I sit down. I fall asleep instantly.

2. This spring has been wonderful. Besides the puffs from the willows along the river, the chestnut trees drip sap onto the pavements so our shoes click with every pace, and the ducklings, goslings and cygnets gather around their beady-eyed parents. Dragonflies and damselflies drone over the river. Huge poppies have grown in the chaos of the garden, I assume where I threw the seeds from pavement poppies last summer, and bees roll around among the stamens like playing puppies. I drive past the supermarket and see several people tending to a horse in the neighbouring scrubland.  

3. Have you finished Succession yet? This final series has been my favourite yet, for possibly obvious reasons — my stress levels were lower than my enjoyment levels for the very first time, so I could fully savour exactly how brilliant every single aspect is. Cast, crew, production, script — everything is perfect, and yet how hard to communicate why a programme about the world’s worst people is not just watchable but probably the best TV this year. This Vanity Fair clip with the director of the scene on Connor’s wedding boat is excellent and describes so well how TV like this is a kind of alchemy.

4. A brief sojourn to a foreign city, where the cathedral left me chilled but a record store was so exactly like the ones from my teens that I welled up and had to be pulled away. How do smells cut through all barriers and transform us so completely to our previous selves? I wanted to stay for hours and flick through every single album, and end up buying four, two I’d love immediately and two I’d hate, but would stick with because albums are never cheap, and the two that were harder work would become my favourites and stick deep in my brain forever. I thought myself too cool to be a Feeder fan at the time, but watching this video now I want to weep at how normal we all looked then, how clunky and average and awkward, how anyone who grew up in the 90s would recognise those bedrooms, that wallpaper, those lampshades, and how humans are so dumb to grieve things we didn’t even want at the time. 

But sometimes, for brief moments, like when you are standing at the stove making lemon and courgette risotto and listening to Head Like a Hole at full volume, your teen self and the adult self you thought you might be meld perfectly and all is well with the world. 

5. We read this book in bookclub recently, and I was struck at how we all struggled to verbalise our feelings about it. Was it good? Bad? Confusing? Funny? Unsettling? It was all and none, the live example of imagining a colour you’d never seen before. I was reminded of these two videos the algorithms had fed me, on Outsider Music and how audiences misunderstood the film of American Psycho when it first came out. Weirdness is so challenging, so aching and unsettling and new to brains which generally thrive on conformity and predictability. In the latter video, the film’s director Mary Herron says, ‘I have to always remind myself, sometimes I don’t get it, you know, when I first see something… particularly if it’s unfamiliar, it can be quite… there’s something uncomfortable or disturbing or it seems boring or like it does’t work, and it’s also because you’re just not attuned to it yet and it’s just sometimes you take time.’ Like those albums as a teen, the best, weirdest, most brain-engaging stuff often takes much longer to chew, but it’s almost always worth it.

6. (We also watched Mustang, which I recommend to literally everyone, although it does nothing to disprove my theory that all good woman- and girl-based films are secretly also horror films. But it’s brilliant, so please watch it if you haven’t already.)

7. I intend to make this tonight for the Solstice feast’s dessert. Happy summer, pals.

i’m a big fan of taylor’s music even if i’ve cooled on it post midnights. i’m most excited for the rep section because that’s my favourite album of hers. it’s just for the ttpd section i genuinely won’t know what’s going on. idk if i should listen to it more before i go to make it more enjoyable..?

You can maybe just "listen" to the songs of ttpd, just don't look at the lyrics cause they're atrocious imo.

Also, I like rep too! Gorgeous was the song through which I came to know about Taylor lmao. Prior to that, I did hear about her but never really listened. Then, I read about that Kanye fiasco and felt real bad for her. Love the song Delicate and the meaning behind it! After that she again fizzled out of my playlists😂 until Evermore and Willow. I loved Willow and listened it on loop lmao. Then I started loving Exile and still quite often say, "I think I've seen this film before"😅😂

This is becoming lengthy, but oh boy, since I've started, let's finish.

I always used to find TS pretentious and since people loved her, I was like, maybe it's a me thing. Then I listened to "Folkmore" and started warming towards her for some reason, and listened to Lover, 1989. Then Midnights announcement came and once again, I thought midnights was pretentious af, and told myself that it was a me thing. Didn't listen to any of the songs from that one until Instagram reels forced me to honestly.

Ttpd I only listened to Fortnight, So Long London (love the production of SLL but not the lyrics or sentiment behind it). And I tried listening to the Anthology but.... fell asleep😶🤐.

same i liked rep and then heard me! and yntcd during lover era but i didn’t actively listen. i became a bigger fan after folklore and evermore those are definitely two of her best.

i liked midnights initially then as time when on i realised i don’t think it’s a high quality album. i still find it enjoyable though.

did not like ttpd at all. sometimes i wonder if i still liked her as a person would i have convinced myself that i liked it? i’m not sure.

lol at the falling asleep part. there’s definitely some ok songs on there i just have no desire to revisit them after my first listen. i will say i’m a fan of “who’s afraid of little old me” and “florida”though.

Favourite food: I am a bit of a foodie so this is a tricky question. I do love a good dessert too. I can narrow down to fave types of food for you, my native Puerto Rican food, Tex-Mex, Italian (both legit and Italian American and with Italian I know it varies depending on region of Italy but generally it's fantastic), Spanish food (my grandpa is Español so I did also partially grow up with it). Also fun fact: I became allergic to shellfish (shrimp, crab, lobster) as an adult despite liking it. Yay genetics, lol.

Curly, wavy, straight hair? A curly 3A. Though sometimes it'll collapse from the weight into a 2C. Either way I LOVE my hair.

Coffee or tea? Both, both is good. Coffee is almost a national beverage (certainly a major export for us) so yeah I am in that hype. Lol. I have 1-2 cups a day. HOWEVER, masala chai? Outstanding. A nice chamomile with some honey and some cookies? Delish.

One album to listen to for the rest of my life: Controversially, I am not a big music person. Comes from music (any genre from any year...yes even some Vibaldi) always sending me down a rabbit hole of stories. But when I do love music I LOVE it so, I'm gonna narrow it down. I know this is a headcanon talked about a lot but I absolutely love it. And that's Steve going round to the Henderson's place for dinner once a week. And he makes sure he's free to go over every time. He'll tell Robin he can't go over for a movie and a sleepover with her, he'll tell Eddie he can't go over to get high and listen to music together. Instead he'll put on one of his comfy sweaters (either his favourite yellow one, or a deep purple, or maybe a pale pink one he doesn't dare wear when his father's home), pack his fuzzy socks Robin bought him and go to the Henderson's.

Steve gossips and catches up with Claudia as they chop veges and prep the meat together, plays on the Atari with Dustin, and settles into their little family dynamic like he always belonged there.

They have dinner at the table together, and there's laughter and jokes and people who genuinely want to hear how he's doing. Not like his parents who only ask because its the done thing, part of the act - and then get dissapointed with his answer. Instead he has Claudia Henderson who remembers what he says, and makes sure to ask him about it next week.

Steve loves these evenings. It always feels cozy and warm and comforting, not like the cold and intimidating mausoleum of a house he lives in.

He aches for it. An actual house that people live in. Who decorate it with things they like, weird knick knacks, and family photos where the people actually smile. A family. But he doesn't dare voice it, how much he wants it. How much he feels the ache in his chest when Claudia kisses him on the cheek, or when Dustin invites him to hang out because he likes spending time with him. Steve tries not to carve himself a spot in their family. He's just the babysitter, not Dustin's actual brother. He can't get too close incase they kick him out. This way it'll hurt less. Everyone leaves him. Why wouldn't they?

Claudia sees this. How hesitant Steve is when he catches himself being too comfortable, too forward. So she makes sure to remind him that he'll always have a place here with them. He saved her Dusty's life, befriended him, is someone he can look up to. She trusts Steve.

So when Steve falls asleep on the couch after dinner, in his cozy sweater with Mews the cat curled up under his arm - she is sure to remind him that the spare room is his. He can stay over anytime, and in fact isn't he a bit too tired to be driving? She'd feel a lot better if he stayed the night. And if she buys new sheets and clears out the dresser in the spare room for him - that's her business. And Dustin is so excited at the prospect of a sleepover together Steve can't say no.

You know she'd have Steve moving in a HEARTBEAT if his parents kick him out.

I was snuffling in my bed when I read this and it might be the thing that cures me of my cold

Steve FINALLY feeling at home, FINALLY feeling like he has a place he can return to, where people ask where he’s going and how long he’ll be when he head out for the day, where he can talk about his day and be LISTENED TO without it looking like an inconvenience.

After Steve moves in, it doesn’t happen every night but there is at least one night a week where they all sit around the dinner table to eat together. They try to make it more often but sometimes things just don’t work out, it is their preferred way to spend their evenings though. Dustin thinks he’s won the lottery, his best friend and let’s be honest, hero, is living with him and looks like he’s happier than he’s ever been in his life!

Claudia notices it too, Steve loses a bit of the hunted look he used to have, fills out a bit too, looks softer, more content and less like he’s trying to make up for some failing that only he knows about. When Christmas comes around and she gets Steve his own personalised stocking she makes sure to hug him tight when the tears threaten to spill over onto his face. Dustin catches it on camera and it quickly gets put into the family album

Description - you suffer from narcolepsy and Harry is always there for you

A/N - just like to say i don't suffer from narcolepsy, but i had a look at how different people are effected to write this. sorry if it offends anyone. i'd be happy to change bits if it isn't accurate!

Ever since you were little all you wanted to do was sleep. Sleep is all you've ever known.

It wasn't because you were lazy or dysfunctional, it was because you had been blessed with narcolepsy. However, having narcolepsy was not the worst thing in the world.

Narcolepsy is beyond annoying, but it can be used to your advantage in unfortunate situations. For example if someone's speaking to you that you don't like, or you just can't be arsed to listen to, you can just pretend to fall asleep and then blame it on your medical condition. It is annoying though when you and your boyfriend, Harry, are trying to have a nice meal out somewhere and you can't help but fall asleep.

Your story with Harry was a funny one.

Your friend and you, not so long ago now, had bought tickets to a Harry Styles concert. You had made your friend buy the tickets because you were hopeless when it came to the internet. What you forgot to tell her was your price budget, which then ended up with you both having front row tickets - it was every fans’ dream.

The concert started off amazingly well, with Harry performing - in your opinion - some of the best songs towards the start of the show. This was beneficial to you, and you alone, because halfway through the show you started to become very very tired. It was when you had to rest your head on your friends shoulder and catch a few winks that Harry noticed you. To this day it is still the most humiliating thing that's happened to you - what with your face being put up on the big screen by a passing cameraman.

You remember Harry making a joke about how you were finding him boring and he was putting you to sleep, and you had to shout back saying that it was nothing personal. For some reason Harrys interaction with you made you feel more alive and you were able to get through the rest of the show. Harry kept close to the area that you were standing in, for the rest of the show, and you liked to believe that he even sang to you at one point.

Towards the end of the show, when your post concert depression was starting to kick in, you received a note from one of the concert ushers. What you never expected it to be was a note from the man who had been teasing you himself.

Hi! My name is Harry, call me so I can find out yours x

He had so smoothly written in the note. You were flattered that he had even took the time out of his day to write you such a note, so you obviously called him up with your name.

From then on, you two had been inseparable.

When you explained to Harry that you have narcolepsy he was not phased. You expected him to run away just like every other boyfriend you'd had, but he stayed. Harry always assured you that it's no big deal, but you couldn't help but feel sorry for him sometimes. When he comes home from a long day at work all he probably wants to do is be with you, but you are normally asleep and it makes you feel bad for putting him in this situation.

He has to put up with a lot from you. You're quite the trouble maker for someone who's never gone a day without having more than 12 hours sleep.

Harry was currently in the midst of his press tour for his new album, Fine Line.

It was your favourite album in the history of music, let alone his music. Harry had played the album to you one night on the way home from a boring business meeting, complaining how he needed to do something fun that night. So, the spontaneous pair you are, ended up driving around your town until 3am listening to the album on repeat. You couldn't pick a favourite track, but Fine Line itself has brought tears to your eyes.

Harry was doing interviews today at a pop up store in London. He was currently sat in a room with people shuffling around him, making him look pretty and preparing him for types of questions he might get asked. Sarah was currently sat on a sofa, behind where all the cameras were set up, with you. You hadn't really made an effort to look nice today, considering you were going to be sitting around all day and at some point you knew you were going to fall asleep. You'd gone with one of Harry's, oversized, grey hoodies and then some black joggers and vans.

You look like a Primark next to Gucci Harry.

Lou was dusting some foundation on Harry’s face as the first interviewers filed into the room, at which point Harry stood up to greet them by shaking their hands - such a gentleman. You yawned to yourself, feeling yourself about to drift off and so bunched yourself up tight in the corner of the sofa, knees close to your chest, and pulled the hood over your head.

Harry had seen you manoeuvre and, being the protective boyfriend he was, excused himself to make his way over to you for a moment. He crouched down in front of you and held onto your knees for balance.

"You okay gorgeous?" He asked. You hadn't fully gone to sleep yet and so were able to still hold conversation with him.

"Harry you're supposed to be doing an interview." You mumbled. He was always wary about you when you went to sleep. There has to be someone around you that monitors your heart rate to make sure it isn't too high, or too low, and Harry was that person. If your heart rate is abnormal then he had to call an ambulance, right away, to make sure you were okay otherwise you could end up in a coma. To make sure Harry knew you were okay all the time, he'd bought you a FitBit watch which monitors your heart rate and then synced up his FitBit with yours so he could monitor it too when he wasn't immediately next to you. You pointed to his wrist. "You know I'm okay."

"I know, I know. I just get nervous sometimes." You smiled at his concern and moved your tired arm up to cup his cheek, which he leaned into lovingly.

"It's okay to be nervous H, but I promise you I'm okay." He nodded in response, feeling more confident than before, as your hand stayed on his cheek. "And I'm only a sofa away from you. "

"Okay." Harry stood up and kissed you on your forehead before going back over to the sofa. You closed your eyes as you felt yourself drifting. He turned back to Sarah for a second though. "Just keep an eye on her, will you?"

"I'm fine H." You told him firmly, not wanting to get him in to trouble for staying with you . Your eyes were still closed. Sarah laughed next to you and you could hear Harry chuckle before heading over to the sofa for their interview. You heard the interviewer start before you fell asleep.

"Are we rolling?" The interviewer, Richard, asked his camera crew. They gave the man a thumbs up and then he began.

"Hi Harry! How are you doing today?" Richard asked.

"Good. Yeah all good. How are you? " Harry answered, looking over at you quickly - noticing you were asleep whilst taking a glance at the FitBit to check your vitals.

"I'm also good!" Richard laughed. "So I know you'll be getting asked this a lot but if you could describe your album in four words, what would they be?"

Harry counted each word on his fingers to make sure he would indeed say four words. "Umm... I'm not going to be too clever with my choice of words and go forr..." Harry drags out his last word before continuing. "Different. Mature. Retro. Passionate." Richard nodded his head in agreement.

"Why passionate? " Richard asked, wanting to hear some context to Harry’s choices.

"Because i’m really passionate about music, and the song writing process that comes with it, and I feel that that message comes across nicely when you listen to this album."

Harry took a quick opportunity to look down at the FitBit again.

You were still okay.

"What's your favourite song on the album?" Richard asked.

"That's tough." Harry drummed his fingers on his chin whilst looking to you for inspiration. "Personally my favourite is probably Sunflower Vol. 6. The song has a strong but simple meaning behind it and also it’s one that I think is going to be great to preform live. " Harry answered.

Little did the interviewer, or anyone except from Mitch, know that the song was inspired by you. Harry was in awe that nothing ever got in your way of life. No matter how awful something might be, you had this magical way of making the best out of a bad situation. It was one of Harry's favourite qualities about you. The fact you had narcolepsy didn't faze you, and Harry admired that. The song was written about you. A simple poem attached to a few chords. It was a love letter from Harry to you.

Harry does another check of his wrist, for you.

Richard has caught on to Harry checking his FitBit and so questioned him on it. "Are you alright Harry? You seem to be distracted by your watch."

Harry chuckled along with Richard, thankful he wasn't angry about it. "I'm sorry man. My girlfriend, over there, has narcolepsy and I'm just keeping a check on her heart rate." Harry pointed you out to interviewer and he just oh's in response, as if it all made sense now. Thankfully Richard wasn't annoyed that Harry was persistently diverting his attention off the interview, which Harry was very thankful for.

"I'm guessing she's the one sleeping?" Richard asked, understandably, since Sarah was sitting next to you, on her phone. Richard's question made Harry laugh, noticing the way you were slightly dribbling in your sleep.

"Yeah that would be correct." Harry still laughed, as he sat forward slightly, leaning to get a better angle of you. You looked so innocent, yet you were a right devil when you were awake. "Normally people are asking if she's the one who looks like she's high on sugar!" Harry joked.

Just because you had a medical condition that meant you wanted to sleep a lot of the time, didn't stop you from having fun. In fact it meant that you put the effort in to have more fun when you were awake. You know you pissed people off, because you always would have random bursts of energy when no one else did, but that was something they had to learn to deal with.

"Oh! Is she a trouble maker? She looks very peaceful right now though?" Richard joked. This interview had taken an unexpected turn which Harry nor Richard expected, but Richard knew the fans would love to see some content of Harry with his girlfriend and so kept it going. Richard was as nosey as the fans - wanting to see how his interviewees acted with their significant others as if the cameras weren't around.

"It's all an act." Sarah stated, which made Harry chuckle knowing exactly where Sarah was coming from. "She is actually the biggest diva."

"Facts." Harry responded, loving how he gets to talk about how special his girlfriend is so openly. Richard looked at them both in disbelief. "Honestly." Harry assured Richard. "She is the first on the dance floor, on a night out, and then the last also - she's hard work!" Harry smiled as he remembered the time you were about to fall asleep on the dance floor, and Harry came to move you to someplace quieter, but you threw a tantrum and petitioned to remain where you were. Harry couldn't say no to you, so he ended up giving you a piggy back, on the dance floor, for ten minutes whilst you slept.

He wouldn't have you any other way.

Harry looked down at his FitBit and noticed your heartbeat had sped up slightly. Either it was because you were about to wake up, or something was wrong. Richard and Jeff started talking about some finalities of the interview, so Harry zoned out for a moment, making sure you're okay. He was nervous for a minute but when he saw you shift in the sofa and stretch to rub your eyes, he calmed down and sat further back down into the sofa in comfort.

The interview continued for another few minutes before time was up. Richard thanked Harry and vice versa. You were now awake, but still a bit sleepy. Your subconscious has been aware of the voices in the room and so had distracted you from a good sleep.

You were scrolling through Instagram, to pass some time, when Harry appeared in front of you and Sarah.

"Stand up baby." Harry held his hands out for you.

"Told you I'd be okay." You said smugly and Harry rolled his eyes at you - letting you know that he knew you were right and that was something he'd never easily verbally admit.

You placed your phone on the flat arm of the sofa and allowed him to pull you up, giving you a quick kiss as he did. Harry sat down exactly where you'd been and pulled you down to sit on his lap. He had one arm wrapped securely around your waist as the other one was free to move when he talked. You laid your head back into his shoulder and continued to scroll through Instagram. Jeff stood up next to Sarah, after checking everyone was alright. You heard chatting and you were pretty sure everyone in the small room was conversing, but were too out of it to understand.

As you scrolled through your Instagram you liked a few pictures on the way down. A lot of your feed is your friends activity but you do also follow some Harry fan accounts, mainly because they're so sweet and also because the pictures of your man they post are beautiful. You came across a fan page which updated everyday with the best pictures of Harry and are always asking how their followers are. They're also a negative comment free zone, so there's never any hate and if there is it's removed.

You loved this page and this fan.

"Watcha looking at gorgeous?" Harry asked, before moving the hood away from your neck slightly so he could press a kiss there. He couldn't resist himself so had to leave a few, leaving a slight mark as he did so.

"Only the most stunning man I've ever seen." You said confidently, moving the phone to his face to show him a picture of himself. Harry laughed into your neck and squeezed your waist slightly in response.

"You're something else, you!" Harry joked, finding it flattering that you were looking at photos of him even if he hated looking at them himself. "Why though?"

"Why not? You look pretty darn good here H, and also this fan page is beautiful." You start explaining everything good about the account, and how they made you happy with their positivity and content. Harry just sat there and listened - in awe of the way you spoke so kindly about others. He pulled out his phone and logged on to his own Instagram. "What are you doing?"

He looked at the fans username and typed it in. He goes to the direct messages and composed a message to the fan that ran the account.

Hi! Harry here! Just messaging you to thank you for all your continuous support of me. You are amazing! Also Y/N was raving about your account to me and so i want to personally thank you for putting a smile on her face everyday! Keep it up! All the love. H x

You swore you could've cried at how generous and kind Harry was. That fan was going to have a heart attack, though. "Thank you." You said quietly before snuggling closely into him, attempting to give a hug.

"Anything for my angel." He kissed your forehead. It was true - he would do anything for you and you for him. You were the best team, even if you were a bloody handful at times.

> Adding onto that, I like to think that when they do eventually escape, starlight makes a playlist of their favourite taylor songs to introduce avior to. he enjoys it a lot, especially evermore (album)

> Angel is a Harry Styles stan and after David first gives them their nickname, their favourite song of his very quickly becomes Only Angel

> Baabe is a huge romantic, though it’s well hidden. loves sappy love songs and when they were a teenager, they made a bunch of playlists for different scenarios they hoped would one day come true.

> Asher finds out about said playlists and makes it his mission to make sure they listen to every single song on them while they do whatever activity is in the title (ex: songs for midnight dancing with lover, baking with my favourite person, etc…)

> this one is (kind of) sad, but Baabe didn’t think they’d ever actually have a relationship as amazing and loving as what they now have with Asher, so towards the beginning of the relationship, they were maybe a bit more closed off because they didn’t want to come off as insecure. But Asher was just so easy going and understanding that they open up quickly and everything fell into place so naturally and it still shocks them to this day how easy it is with him. But they’re definitely grateful for it and feel much more secure now

> Sweetheart and David have chess matches sometimes. Idk why but I feel like they’d both like chess.

> Similarly, so do Asher and Angel, but it is significantly more chaotic because they make up the rules as they go.

> Asher is a Fire Sign- I’m not sure which one yet but as an Aries, I’m inclined to believe he has fire sign energy. (I want to make a separate post abt my personal opinion of what I think some of the characters’ signs are but I’m not sure if anyone would want that)

> Sam plays the piano and has one at his place, but he’s out of practice. Darlin’ hears him practicing one day and encourages him to keep up with it because it sounds nice. Cut to maybe a year and a half into their relationship, when Sam is  confident in his playing abilities again, and he’s playing some soft music to help Darlin’ fall asleep on nights they just can’t. It works like a charm.

> Lovely loves reading. Mostly fantasy. Maybe before meeting Vincent they read a few books with vampires in them, but now they find it hard to enjoy fictional vampire content when they know it’s all super inaccurate. They still love fantasy books though, and they use it as an escape. 

> When they were younger, they wanted magic to be real so bad, but as they grew up, it kinda faded. After finding out it was real, they took a minute to be a kid again and just be so excited about it. When they got their powers, they told Vincent how excited their child self would be. Now, of course, their perspective of the magical world has changed drastically but sometimes they still find themself filled with awe when learning something new about it. 

> Vincent has read every single book Lovely has recommended to him, even the ones they only mentioned in passing. He’d randomly bring up super specific book details in conversation with them and they’d be so surprised. He loves the way they get excited when they realize they can talk about it with someone now.

> Not only do the D.A.M.N. boys love Super Smash Bros, but they also have intense Mario Kart tournaments that always end in fits of laughter, lots of yelling and Damien coming in last. (No one knows how, but Gavin keeps beating him. They even turn items off because Damien accused him of relying on the items to win. Damien still loses.)

> Freelancer always comes first in Mario Kart, they are unbeatable. The guys all ganged up on them one time and not even 4 people could take away their trophy. It’s a point of pride for them.

> Baabe and Angel both love The Legend of Zelda. Baabe’s favourite games are Twilight Princess and Windwaker, Angel’s are BoTW and Skyward Sword.

> Baabe has jokingly called Asher “Link” on a few occasions (bc he can turn into a wolf like TP Link), so one year on Halloween he actually went as Link, much to their amusement.

Even though you knew how much you liked Tom back then, it was never clear to you what actually happened between the both of you. He was never clear and the moment you knew you were going end up hurt, you left.

You had just finished getting your make up done when you took sometime to breathe and finally think about what was going on. So you would have to see Tom again, not only see but work with him everyday for the next three months. Here's the thing: you didn't deal well with unsolved things. Yes, you made the decision to forget him and you did it. But you wished things had been different, in some parallel universe, you wished he held you tighter, tried harder. Wish he decided to meet you halfway.

No one ever knew how much you were hurting when you stopped talking to him. "It wasn't anything serious anyways." you'd tell your bestfriend when she asked about how you were feeling after the news of him being in a new relationship had leaked.

You met Tom when you were younger, you knew him and you loved him. You met him through mutual friends who are also actors and you connected instantly. You couldn't tell when things started to get so confusing and complicated until you realize the guy that was your best friend was sleeping in your bed and then breaking your heart. Not even him, cause you never said a word about it. You acted like you didn't care.

You loved each other and you knew it. But you loved him like you could call him when you were high and talk about anything but you could never tell him why you were hurting. Like you could fall asleep in his lap when you had movie marathons on lazy Saturdays, but you couldn’t touch him when you kissed or look into his eyes for longer than a second. He'd drive to your house at 3 in the morning if it meant you'd be okay. He couldn't close his eyes without seeing you. You haunted his dreams. You could make him break his own knuckles on his bedroom wall and then pull him into your arms moments later with a smile on his face. 

Whenever you happened to meet at premieres, he’d act like he couldn’t look at her when he held her hand because you were laughing with someone else on the other side of the room. And you both knew it, just pretended you didn't.

And now here you are, ready to spend three whole months next to him. You heard a knock on the door that made you snap out of your thoughts as you saw someone opening the door slowly putting his head to the side. “Hey. Can I come in?” 

You couldn’t help but make a weird face at Tom, standing right at your door. What was he doing? What are you supposed to do? Act like nothing ever happened? 

“Sure. How are you? It’s been so long.” you said walking in his direction. 

“Yeah, I'm okay. Happy to be back at London?” he asked while he took a sit on the small sofa you had in your dressing room. You sit next to him, having a hard time to look him directly at the eyes.

“Always happy to be back. So what's up?” you reffered to him coming to your dressing room. He laughed a little, you could see he looked embarassed.

“Nothing really, just wanted to see you before we start this whole thing. Wanted to make sure we are hm...fine?”

“We are fine, yeah. I don’t think this is right place to talk about it anyways.” you stood up and sit on a chair in front of him. 

“I know Y/N but where is the right place? Or moment? I don’t mean to bring this up now but you are the one who’s been ignoring me for months, stopped answering to my texts and been acting weird, we were friends before everything so I don’t get it-” Tom was cut off by your assistant (and best friend) entering the room. 

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t know you were here...hi Tom. I can come back later.” Emily apologized. “No! It’s okay, he was just leaving.” 

Tom stood up and left the room leaving his very well known perfume in the air. 

“What was that about?” Emily asked, knowing well what was that. 

“Nothing, he came in to ask me if we were okay?” you answered ironically laughing. “Saying I stopped answering his texts like he wasn’t the one who was basically running so he wouldn’t have any commitment.” 

“Doesn’t he have a girlfriend now or something?” she whispered. 

“So I heard. But tell me, how can I help you?” you asked her who immediately hand you over a pile of paper and explained what you were supposed to do. You obviously knew well the role you applied for, you just didn’t know who was going to do your love interest in the cast. Until 10 minutes ago. But Tom however, looked like he was ready to come talk to you, actually, looked like he was waiting for it for so long. 

“Y/N! Are you even listening?” Emily called “Can’t stop thiking about finally being a couple in front of cameras?”

“Oh stop it, I’m glad no one ever knew the rumors about me and him were real.” You answered her laughing. “Sometimes I think the best thing I did was leaving, but I kinda miss him though.” 

“Well, I’m glad you do cause you’ll have a lot of time to spend together now.”

Random relationship headcanons (all characters!) - F!MC

I’ve done HCs like these before but not for all of the characters - I thought I’d do an updated version with everybody☺️

Lucifer:

Lucifer effectively never refers to MC by her name ever again, he either calls her ‘my love’ or ‘my dear’

He sets Friday nights aside to take MC out for dinner no matter how much paperwork he has left at the end of the week

Lucifer always unconsciously makes MC a cup of coffee in the morning when he’s getting his

He’s not the sort to hold MC’s hand while at RAD, but when they walk together he does subtly place his hand on her lower back

Often their more intimate moments involve laying in front of the fireplace together, sipping glasses of wine as they discuss and joke over their day

Lucifer helps MC with her every goal and when she succeeds, he is always the first to congratulate her. After all, having MC as his partner is what he is most proud of

If he catches MC sassing one of the brothers, he’ll smirk and boast “That’s my girl.”

Sometimes if he’s feeling stressed, he’ll ask MC if she’ll keep him company by sitting in his lap while he works

Mammon:

He’s an absolute sucker for MC calling him ‘babe’ and tells her off if she refers to him as anything else

Mammon’s 100% the little spoon (but don’t you dare ever tell anybody else that)

Expect random booty slaps throughout the day whenever Mammon is near

He loves showing off MC - if they’re at RAD together, he’ll always have his arm around her; nonchalantly planting kisses on her head every now and again when they’re talking to someone

Mammon tells his brothers off if he thinks they’re spending too much time with his human

“What are you doin’ over there?! Come give me some sugar!” He pouts at least 20 times a day

Mammon never grows tired of seeing MC’s body. Every time she undresses for bed, he gawps at her - practically drooling - just like it’s the first time he’s ever seen her

He often randomly buys MC cards and will write little notes inside with his scrawny handwriting simply stating how much he loves and appreciates her (he’s very soft when it comes to MC)

Levi:

If MC is doing something that Levi deems as ‘adorable’, he will immediately pull out his D.D.D and photograph/film her so if he’s ever feeling down he can go through his album and just gaze at her in awe

When he’s talking to Henry 2.0, he refers to MC as the fish’s ‘mum’ and him as ‘dad’ (but don’t tell MC that he ever said that)

He loves to show off that MC is his girlfriend whenever he’s gaming. If he gets insulted over his headset, he’ll reply with ‘yeah? Well I have a girlfriend who’s super hot! Beat that!’

Movie marathons are a must

Levi loves taking MC to the beach and having her straddle him while he wades through the sea (a bit like Baloo and Mowgli)

When he’s gaming, Levi lets MC style his hair. Considering how long it is, the human is very intrigued by what it’d look like pushed back

He gets incredibly excited if MC gets dressed up for something and practically implodes: “that’s my girlfriend!!”

Satan:

Satan is 100% husband material. MC needs help studying? He’s there. MC needs help with cooking dinner? He’s there. MC is feeling stressed and wants a massage? He’s already offered before she can ask.

He’s quite a tease too and will wait until the worst time to show this side of him. MC and Satan could be at the palace having a really formal dinner when he will start whispering in MC’s ear, telling her all of things he’d love to do to her later that evening

MC’s name is now ‘darling’

Satan’s favourite part of the day is when he and MC are sat in bed each night, both reading a book

He loves to hold MC in his arms with her head on his chest whenever they fall asleep

He always makes the bed while MC’s in the bathroom so she doesn’t have to

When he’s on dinner duty, Satan purposefully cooks his and MC’s dinner first so that they can have it alone with a candle lit

Asmo:

Refers to MC as ‘sweetie’

He’s always surprising MC with little gifts - if he’s out shopping and sees something he thinks she’d like he immediately buys it

He helps relieve MC of any stress - if he senses she’s had a bad day he’ll pull out the nail varnish and give her a full on pamper while she moans about whatever is bothering her

His Devilgram is full of candid photos of MC

You can bet he’s super affectionate toward MC - there will never be a day that goes past where she doesnt wake up with a kiss from him

They’re the fiercest couple at RAD - they’re effectively the Devildom equivalent to Posh and Becks

They also go on really cute dates, whether it be little mini breaks, a simple coffee date at a nearby cafe, a day at the beach or beauty salon etc

Beel:

Movie nights with everybody always consist of MC falling asleep in Beel’s lap and then him carrying her up to bed

He’s always calling MC ‘cute’ no matter what she’s doing. She could be having a full on go at him for eating her dinner and he’d just smile at her while thinking ‘could she be anymore adorable?’

Lots and lots of piggy backs

Beel loves hugging MC, he always does that thing where he wraps his jacket around her so he trap the human with his love

Always invites MC to his sports game and whenever she goes, he manages to perform that little bit better to usual

He always offers MC his jacket if she ever gets cold

Everyone dubs them the ‘cutest couple at RAD’ because they’re always holding hands and have the biggest smiles on their faces whenever they’re together

Often they spend their evenings in the kitchen cooking/baking which results in a food fight and eventually sex on the kitchen counter

MC always wears Beel’s top to bed and it makes him so happy to see her in it

Belphie:

He gives MC all of the comfy pillows in their bed - after all he doesn’t need them anymore because his favourite thing to fall asleep on is his human

He’s always coming to MC’s defence. If a lesser demon ever does so much as scowl at her, he immediately puts himself between the two. Nobody is ever going to hurt his human

Belphie wants to learn everything about MC including the things she likes. And if that means he has to sit through hours and hours of a TV show to do that then he’ll commit to it!

He’s always genuinely interested in how MC’s day went and whenever they reunite at the house, he always asks how she is and will listen for however long to what she has to say

He hides food in the fridge for MC “I bought this cake earlier and have hidden it from Beel so that you could have the first slice”

Belphie always wants cuddles from MC - he has to have his head on her chest

He’s also not ashamed of how much he likes to snuggle his human, even if his brothers do tease him for it

Diavolo:

Diavolo is always going above and beyond for MC and acts like she’s already his Queen

He loves taking her on little walks around the castle grounds; telling her all about his ancestors

If Diavolo has to get up early for whatever reason and leave the palace, he’ll always leave a single rose on the bedside table next to MC so she doesn’t wake up feeling forgotten about

He puts MC before his duty - if any nobles ever dare speak ill of his relationship, he immediately dismisses them from their role

Always compliments MC, expressing how ‘positively radiant’ she looks with a huge grin on his face

He loves making MC wear his crown and sit on his throne, in fact he finds it quite the turn on seeing her in a position of power (that’s not the only position he likes seeing her in)

His favourite part of the day is when he gets to return home and see MC in her element doing whatever (studying, drawing etc) looking like the absolute beauty she is

Diavolo always accidentally lets it slip that he wants to have a future with MC - they’d just be talking about something random and then he’d come out with “well I like to think that when our children grow up...” before quickly blushing, realising what he’d said

Barbatos:

He invites MC to the castle a lot to keep him company when he’s serving Diavolo

He’s always surprising MC and leaving her feeling flustered - he could have a completely serious look on his face while he’s doing something for Diavolo but will then turn and whisper to MC “perhaps when I finish this paperwork, I can do you on this desk too” before walking away

Barbatos is always showing off to MC by taking her to different realms and dimensions. Having dinner at a fancy restaurant is too mainstream for him - you want to see France during the Renaissance? Sure, he’ll take you there!

He takes good care of MC and will often sense something is off with her before she even knows. This demon has a different tea for everything

Barbatos loves cooking all of these elaborate dishes only for MC to try and you can bet he’s already memorised all of her favourite meals from the human realm and has perfected them

In fact, some of the very rare moments where he grins is when he and MC are baking together

Even if he’s the one who’s had an incredibly long day, he’ll still run a relaxing bath for MC with candles and salts

Simeon:

Even if MC wakes up and looks like she’s been dragged through a bush backwards, Simeon never fails to compliment her surreal beauty

He calls MC ‘sweetheart’ all the time

Simeon always gets up early so that he can make MC breakfast in bed as it’s the most important meal of the day!

They always bath together

He and MC often go for walks in the park and will bring Luke along if he’s feeling lonely and wants to spend time with his parents

Simeon is incredibly intimate and passionate in their relationship. There’s no such thing as a ‘casual’ kiss with this angel - he never fails to caress MC’s cheek and gaze into her eyes before laying one on her

He always offers to carry MC’s bags while they’re walking through RAD and will effectively treat her like a goddess - opening every door for her, pulling out her chair etc

Simeon’s always gushing to Lucifer about his relationship with MC

Solomon:

MC and Solomon are such a chaotic couple

To show his love for her, he will quote vines (*insert ‘I love you bitch, I ain’t ever gonna stop loving you, bitch’ vine here*)

He is not afraid to show off his love for MC. She could be walking through the corridor at RAD and when he spots her, Solomon will shout ‘DAYUM MY GIRL IS FINE’

Solomon is always making MC laugh. He’s not one for being traditional when it comes to compliments - he’d definitely hit her up with “I would drag my balls through lava just to hear you fart down a walkie talkie”

He’s quite a show off too - the demons are all jealous that MC loves him and not them so he always gushes about his human

If he ever takes an unflattering photo of MC, he immediately turns her into a meme much to his amusement

Although he jokes a lot and isn’t always serious, when they’re alone together, Solomon is incredibly loving and would easily be happy to just sit there and stare at MC in silence for ten minutes so that he can take a moment to appreciate how lucky he is

when i first discovered the album, i was *so* surprised by the first few beats of "Lavender haze", i was expecting something way calmer i think😂 my instant favourites were anti-hero, labyrinth & sweet nothing

btw i found it so funny to see everyone hating on the sexy baby line when i loved it, especially because of what follows it, "i'm a monster on the hill too big to hang out slowly lurching toward your favourite city pierced through the heart but never killed" like !!! that was the first time i had to rewind because these lyrics!!! made me lose my mind a lil bit

ohh and the 'everybody agrees, everybody agreessss' made me think of the way Lorde sometimes sings? i can't think of a particular song but it gave the same vibe and anyway i loved it

i'm sorry to say that after the incredible, genius, heart-breaking lyrics of you're on your own kid, i jumped out of my skin with the beginning of midnight rain lol, not the best experience with the song at first

labyrinth was an instant favourite, the way her voice sounds so vulnerable, the lyrics... also the fact that i'm always taking the stairs to avoid the elevators because i literally don't trust them... like i know it's a metaphor but literally i related both to the metaphor & the irl situation i really felt psychoanalysed on that one lol

on first listen of the 3AM tracks, i... fell asleep lol (i wanted to wait until it was 3AM for me to have the real experience & ended up falling asleep i think i was only conscious for the great war xD)

on second listen i loooved the great war, i kept seeing metaphors for the book i had just finished reading ("this is how you lose the time war"), the lyrics were so clever and the song is exactly the kind of catchy song i love to listen to while power-walking lol

high infidelity was also an immediate favourite, wow!! the parallels to champagne problems made me go a lil bit insane, also the way she enunciates "storm coming, good husband, bad omen" is just... *chef's kiss* wish i could inject this shit directly into my veins xD

would've could've should've is such a good song, when i first listened to it i loved it, but the more i listen the more it grows on me it's sooo good ("now that i'm grown i'm scared of ghosts"??? "the tomb won't close"??? "stained glass windows in my mind"??? "living for the thrill of keeping where it hurts"????) that at the end of it i never know what to listen to next (dear reader seems like a weird choice tbh) so i keep it on a loop ^^

when i first listened to the album i was a bit disappointed by maroon because i was expecting something totally different (i think it was the problem with having these track titles for so long before the album, i had theories & hopes whereas usually i go in blind) and since then the song has grown on me so much, her voice sounds so *gorgeous* in it and the lyrics are very good too

This isn’t hard since he’s naturally a nerd, but he likes to study with you after practice

When you’re busy focusing he will sneak glances at you and silently chuckle at how cute he thinks you are

He will leave little notes in your notebooks and randomly draw hearts in the corners of pages but pretends he doesn’t know why you’ll randomly start blushing as you flip the page

The notes will range from “hey, you’re cute. Are you single?” to “you make me hotter than sulfate hydroxide mixed with ethyl acetate”

He loves you even more because you don’t always understand his chemistry jokes but he still manages to get you flustered

Knowing he’ll tease you if you react to his little notes you try your best to hide your smiles, but Kuroo is extremely observant and never fails to point out how cute you are with the biggest smirk on his face

Tsukishima

Tsukki really cares about you but he has a hard time expressing himself in public

He knows you like to be close to him because you tend to get a little anxious

He won’t say anything, he will just stick out his hand and wait until you interlock your fingers with him

He would never tell you but when you’re out and there’s a lot of people, he will walk slightly faster so you’re directly behind him and give your hand random squeezes for reassurance

He doesn’t want you to get lost and bump into anyone so he stays in front, that way he clears the way for you

Bokuto

Bokuto is our favourite himbo

He thinks so highly of you, there’s not a thing you do that doesn’t impress him

Bo tries really hard for you, and you help to motivate him even when you’re apart

You always make him after school snacks so he has energy for practice, so he’ll try to make you breakfast when you stay over

He shows off the snacks you make for him, especially to Akaashi, even if it's just cut up fruit

He’s getting a lot better at following youtube tutorials but the first time he tried making you pancakes, they got burnt so he made you a bowl of cereal instead

He spelt out “I’m sorry :(“ with the cereal as you’re eating

Ushijima

He is a very straightforward person and doesn’t see the need to outwardly flaunt you around

When you’re out with him, he likes it when you grab onto his arm because he likes how small you look compared to him (this man is a giant and no matter your size, he’s gonna think you’re smaller)

He tells you all the time he thinks you’re pretty

Toshi has long ass legs so it’s difficult to keep up sometimes, but when you get tired he loves giving you piggyback rides

He feels very giddy when you’re holding onto him and you mindlessly ramble about the things you see because he likes the feeling of protecting you

Toshi doesn’t talk a lot but he’s always listening and its evident in the things he ends up doing/ getting for you

He doesn’t smile often either, unless he’s with you, and he makes sure you know that he’s happy with you

Akaashi

Akaashi loves how independent you are

He likes that you get along with his friends, specifically Bokuto, but most of all he loves that even though you can take care of yourself, you’re not afraid to depend on him

You’re a little more outgoing than him in social settings, but you both prefer staying in so every night he will have you lay on his chest while he plays with your hair

Normally, you’re on your phone while he reads his books but regardless of what he’s doing, he will either have his hand running through your hair or rubbing circles on your back

He loves how it feels to have you snuggled into him and when you end up drifting off to sleep, he will kiss your forehead and whisper “Goodnight darling” without fail every night

Nishinoya

Noya loves that you can be just as energetic and you both like pda

He thinks your his good luck charm

Noya will scan the entire crowd before a game until he finds you and blows you a kiss

Every time he’s switched on, he will send you a wink but other than that he is very focused on the game and it’s nice to see how serious he can get when he needs to be

After a game, no matter the result he will ask you to meet him in the lobby and he’ll thank you for being there for him

But if they won, he and Tanaka will be running towards you and he would yell asking for kisses as a prize

Asahi

He’s a soft boy that always makes sure you’re okay

He’s shy so he finds subtle ways he can show you his affection without causing a scene

Azumane is a gentle giant and it’s easy to get him flustered (which you take advantage of) so even spontaneously giving him a kiss on the cheek will make him go red

You both settle on him giving you headpats when he picks you up from class and you hold his arm as you’re walking

The team always teases him about your relationship because it’s so easy to make him flustered, but he secretly loves it

He loves that you made an effort to get to know the team and that you’re able to joke around with everyone, even if he ends up being the butt of the jokes

Kenma

He isn’t into pda at all but he knows you want to feel close to him even when you’re out

He finds you matching shoes in different colours, he even switched the shoelaces of one of the shoes with his so you each have one lace from the other

Kenma is quite shy and doesn’t talk much but he’s very observant and has all your favourite orders memorized at all the fast food places the two of you go to

Without fail, he will order exactly what you want (preferably at a kiosk)

His memory is so good he would even remember how many ketchups you usually need to finish your fries

If you’re at home, he has a little drawer in his room filled with your favourite snacks because the two of you always stay up late and he likes to be prepared

Suna

He might not talk a lot but he loves making memories with you

Suna, as we’ve seen with the Miya twins, is very quick to whip out his phone when something happens

He has a photo album in his phone just for pictures of you or with you

When he misses you (especially before a game if you can't make it) he will always look at the first picture you took together after the first game of his you attended

Suna has a lot of secret pictures of you when you're cuddling of you fall asleep on him, he doesn’t want you to find them but they’re his favourite because nothing makes him fall harder than knowing he makes you feel safe

Oikawa

He calls you prince(ss) and cutie

Oikawa has a lot of fangirls, but he constantly feels like he isn’t good enough so he wants validation from the people he cares about, you especially

He treats you like absolute royalty because he wants to show how much he appreciates you constantly providing reassurance

He loves making you smile and laugh, and he’ll do just about anything to ensure you’re smiling

I just know Oikawa is the type to tickle their s/o under the chin when their pouting

However, hearing you giggle because he’s getting bullied by Iwa-chan will undoubtedly cause him to pout on the outside but if you get close enough he’s sure you’d be able to hear his heart racing from how happy he is
