absolutely not a spoiler! though it’s now much more of a looser inspiration now that it’s nearly fully written compared to my initial intentions with it, it’s inspired by apartment by modern baseball.

basically a song about having a crush at first sight but being too nervous to do something about it right away. i think it really is the perfect song in the way it snapshots a person’s exact feelings in that moment: insecure and anxious (though there’s a happy ending).

i wrote it from peeta’s pov because, even though peeta is confident with an audience, we know him to be a little insecure (he went 11 years with a crush without saying anything!). i’m super close to being done with it, so i’m hoping it’ll be up soon once i get time to finish and edit it :)
