Well, congrats cuz you put me in my feels too, and I spent WAY TO LONG drawing this little bb Caro newly on their path to transition to say thank you for this incredibly sweet message.

When I created Caro, i didn’t have a lot of experience in anything trans-related. I had a lot of help from friends who told me their stories. I created them because I knew it was an identity I shared, but I didn’t know how to navigate it. My trans friends and Caro helped me find my words, myself and my own story. I wanted a strong (in some ways lol), incredibly cool and beautiful (imo) character everyone in the story liked, who dealt with body image issues in such a positive way, being fem in so many ways, while knowing inherently they are not a girl. I wanted Caro to embrace their body and be proud of what they had, and what they made from it to fit their identity. Obviously there’s moments they deal with in Seemingly Dark, phobic assholes and fear of coming out officially to John, just like most of us have in real life, but I wanted Caro to be confident enough in themself and their found family to know the people who matter love and accept them. I wanted Caro’s character flaws and obstacles in both comics to have nothing to do with their transition, I wanted their identity to be their joy. Supernatural problems, difficult relationship stuff, uncertainty of the future, but the one thing that they know for absolute certain is who they are. And they embrace it.

Caro’s transition is important to me, and I’m really glad you like and notice my artwork surrounding them, I want to celebrate them, cuz I love seeing beautiful trans art and I thought, hey! Maybe I can do that too.

There are just not enough words to describe how proud I am of Hippo Campus. This band has been a part of my life since 2015 and I still can’t believe that I, alongside some great friends, were a part of witnessing them headlining at Red Rocks for the first time.

I’ve seen Hippo live before (in 2018 before my birthday) but the experience of seeing one of my favorite bands perform an amazing set at such a beautiful and iconic venue, there’s just no words. This band of friends from Minnesota did that, without radio but with love from their fans💜

(Also, shoutout to Charly Bliss and Gus Dapperton for also putting on a fun set last night as well😌✨)

Another really fun but extremely unexpected thing to happen was that I casually ran into Whistler and Zach from Hippo at the grocery store the night before the show. Thank you both (and also thank you to Demi and Gianna) for your kindness and patience with me😌✨

Last thing: I finally got to hear Poems live. It’s been one of my favorite Hippo songs since it was released in 2017 and hearing it live at such a wonderful place, surrounded by so many people was magical and amazing.

(I guess all of those tweets and telling Whistler and Zach directly to play it actually worked😌)

Overall, I’m so grateful, thankful and blessed from this whole experience. I’m so thankful for Hippo Campus for using the power of music to bring myself and so many others joy and to bring us all together. I got to meet some of my Internet besties because of them and made some amazing memories😌✨

Well, last Sunday, I did an online sign event for the first time in a long while, it was for everyone who pre-ordered my original 3rd album "Sono Saki eh"! It's been such a long time since I've done a session like that. Thankfully, a lot of people were able to participate, I ended up signing autographs and talking for nearly 3 hours＼(^o^)／Overall, this is my third online sign session, so I tried to devise a method based on the experience from the previous events. First of all, I noticed that I will always make mistakes if I write your name while talking so this time, I tried to make sure to finish a certain amount of sheets before taking a break to talk with you. Essentially, I completely separated the writing and chatting time! \\\\٩( 'ω' )و //// This strategy worked very well, and the number of errors decreased dramatically! Also, once we had reached the halfway point we decided to include a brief intermission of about 8 minutes. During that time, I we were playing video snippets of the Christmas concert which is included as bonus content on the A version of my album. LAST YEAR I FINALLY GOT TO SHOW MY MUM LOTR, she's been a bit unwell over the years and she struggled to stay awake and take it all in because it's long and in depth, but she'd been to Hobbiton, she loves the score and has heard all about it from me. Now that she's better she finally got to experience it, and watching it with her/watching her watch it was such an awesome experience 🙏🏾✨🥺

HONESTLY THIS IS SUCH A WHOLESOME STORY THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT WITH ME!!! i love that you got to share that joy with your mom, and that she was able to find something to love in the movies even if they were a little difficult for her to follow in the past.

i feel like the lotr films work really hard to make the story accessible in some way to anyone who watches it, so that even if details are overlooked it still makes sense and has thematic coherency to every audience member. like you don't have to 100% follow every single little thing going on to feel something strongly about the story as a whole. it's truly an AMAZING series for that and i love hearing about people's first times experiencing it.

i've even gotten into the habit of watching folks react to it on youtube bc it just brings me so much happiness to witness sb's first watch. my favorite thing is how many of them will say "idk if i'll be able to get through this 4-hour movie in one sitting!" at the beginning of the vid, just to get upset when the director's credit rolls at the end because they didn't even feel the time passing and they're mad it's over.

Day 3: A Memory

Back in 2016 i read announcement regarding Coldplay concert in Singapore, i was excited and plan to go right away, the concert will be on March 2017, got my concert ticket and already planned for the trip, then suddenly around January 2017, the company that i worked at was bankrupt, leaving me with no money, i have no saving and with a difficult family condition tag along. I cannot go to the concert and with tears on my eyes i need to sell the tickets since i need money more than i go abroad. That was the worst day of my life for i have been their fans my whole life, and i already imagining going to see them live singing fix you. I remember i cried every night for months, until i can let go. It was a memory which i feel deeply in pain for i was out of choices, no one understands the pain, not a will to help, i just don’t have any option but to let go. What worse is, there were rumors that said 2017 would be Coldplay last concert 💔

But the universe has a funny way to mend the broken heart, on the same year i got accepted in a new company where my job is to travel around for events. And i got the chance to visit Germany for 3 days for a company events. I got to see the beauty of Augsburg and Munich, and the joy that i feel was beyond compare. All colleagues were having a good time and this memories created was priceless, great experience.

Another funny things about the universe, it usually will gave you what you want when you are ready and more prepared. On 2023, suddenly Coldplay back to do concert and Asia was on the list. Initially i wish to watch it at home, but did not get the ticket. Instead i got the ticket to see it in Tokyo! One of my fav city ever! Long story short, i finally saw Coldplay live at Tokyo Dome on November 2023, a long time dream come true just when you don’t expect it. I love everything about this experience, the city, the venue, the artist, the people that went there with me, the atmosphere, the circumstances, i cried hard that day, extremely hard i cant believe i am able to see it with my own eyes ✨

Day 3: A Memory

2020 was a hard year for us, with covid spreading, it feels like whatever it is that you build suddenly crumbles, your perfect plan, your limited time, all gone. In the blink of an eye.

2020 was extremely heart broken because i lose my grandmother which i spend years living with and taken care of. My grandmother is an important figure in my life, for i learn how to love they way she love, i learn how to be a person the way she is, she always show me the peace in praying so i follow her, she encourages me to read the Quran for a way of life and a peace of mind, and i did, i glad i did. She is so warm and kind, i feel loved whenever she hugs me, she always greet me so happily every time I visited, she making my fav food, always see me out before going to school and greet me every time i came back from school, all of a sudden that person is gone, never comeback.

Then on the same year, without being able to ready for it, covid took my dad away. He was only on his 50’s, our live is getting better, we planned a lot of things to do together, but covid took him away just in a second. I always so distant from my dad for my parents were divorced since i was a child, i never know how it feels like to have a father at home, i thought losing this distant figures will not gonna hurt me, but i was wrong. I was deeply wounded, i cant speak, i am choking every time i hear his name, or every time i think about our time together or every time i pass by his fav bread shop, i feel like crying. I was grieving hard for that loss, i cant understand why this was happening to me, i cant understand how is this happening? I don’t think i ever recover from this loss

Because the next year, my close aunty and uncle were taken away by covid too. This time i am sure, this pain that i feel, the grief, will always there, i just need to find a way to make peace with in and moving on. Im on my way there.

I'll start with what we know each other for, sitcoms! Of course there's CBS Ghosts, but that's just the latest in a long list of sitcoms that I like a Totally Normal Amount. There's friends, community, new girl, and the big one, bob's burgers. Honestly that one could have it's own number bc of how much I love it. Sitcoms just give me this insurmountable amount of joy

Animation. It's truly the love of my life, she said as she's answering asks instead of working on her thesis. It's so amazing that separate frames come together to create movement. It's never not going to be fascinating to me

My family and friends, including the ones I made on here. My parents have always been in my corner and I love them for it. My brothers are...them. My cousin is literally my ride or die. My dogs are actually the loves of my life (sorry, animation). And my friends...I'm so grateful for people who like being around me. I <3 the ppl that actively choose to be in my life and that want me in theirs.

Baking sweet treats. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and I love making baked goods. Cake, cookies, whatever. I've made cake pops the last two Christmases. It's one of my favorite hobbies. I've been getting into trying and experimenting gluten free recipes ever since I stopped eating gluten last year. I love baking sooo much

Music. I know everyone likes music, but the kind I like, it's special to me. I'm very into indie especially indie pop. Hearing Mitski,,if no one's got me, I know Mitski's got me. Seeing her live actually changed me as a person. Every time I listen to my love mine all mine I feel the sense of peace I had at that concert wash over me. Olivia Rodrigo is my age and she knows just how I'm feeling. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the emotion ABBA makes me feel. Listening to Queen will keep me from having a freakout about school. 🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I guess it’s when my OCs interact. So I’ve obviously got Josie Nixon (nee Wills) but there is also Jess Campbell and Julian Owens who are two OCs @georgieluz and I made together. They are known as the 3Js and basically anytime I write about them joking around and teasing each other always brings a smile to my face. I just love them.

I also have another OC called Florence who will be in a mini series with David Webster and honestly anytime she gets sassy with Webster I’m like ‘you go girl!’ 😂

Oh this is so hard because I honestly never think my work is that good and then people read it and comment and reblog and I just think ‘wow you guys actually love it’ 🥹🥹 brings me such joy.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Well people always say write what you know which is probably why so much of my stuff ends up being angsty. It’s also why I love writing for medics and nurses. I always seem to connect to medics in shows and movies and I think that’s because of my background in veterinary medicine. Yes I’ve not had to patch anyone up on a battlefield but I understand the stressful situations and having lives in your hands which is probably why so much of my work ends up like that (sorry if you guys want more variety I can definitely write fluff too)

Once again I divulge but I guess something I struggle with is writing romance (I know I try to still write it, I’m sorry if it’s bad) but I’ve been on the end of unrequited love but not actually received love (other than from parents, friends etc) so I guess writing people actually falling in love with each other is always based off of things I’ve read, heard and seen rather than actual experience.

End of High School ✨🎖️💙

During my High School Era, I learned a lot about myself. I discovered everything, I met many individuals that turns into friendships that I think it will last a lifetime. I do had the opportunities to meet remarkable teachers that became my biggest mentors in my highschool journey. Throughout my High School experiences, I got to the point that I’m drained with piles of assignments, Club duties, events and such, I also doubted to myself if I can survive.

Despite all the struggles, we still continue our efforts, because it is a key for us to take a next step of our nëw journey (COLLEGE).

And to my family, Mom, Dad it seems like just yesterday that you just saying come up to the rochester for your 1st year highschool, My gratitude goes into you because you guys always supporting me and being there for me over and over of my past four years. You both have cultivate confidence and passion in me to work hard and fight the struggles- Mom: Thanks for all your worries whenever I come home late at nights. - Dad: I thank you for being patient when I needed you to drive me to the school every morning and also when you tired enough you still have a time ti pick me up, specially at night during my school days. When I always see you and hear your voice, my tiredness will easily healed up, because I know that you both are my safe place and therapy.

To my Friends and My Best Friend: Before we knew each other, we are just strangers entered in school, passing by each others ỉn hallways/ corridors, but there’s one day came, there’s a moment we suddenly build as one group and we called it (Delulu), many memories has been build, and all that memories- it will remains or let’s say it will stuck and forever be locked into my mind and heart, I hope that everyday going forward is full of joy and happiness for us.

Aro Joy, 1/1 - it’s almost AUTUMN!!!! 🍁🎃🧣 ✨ (and I’m very excited lol, early fall is one of my favourite times of year 😂). Ok but back on topic - I’ve actually had a vision for this specific comic for ... a while 😭 Like, half a year ago. It’s been a journey, accepting my arospec identity (and from what I’ve heard talking to y’all, it’s been like this for many of you too), and though I’ve been open about the bumpier parts of the experience, I wanted to also talk about the positives, all the joys of being aro, too 💚💚🐸

As a general disclaimer: The sentiments here aren’t meant to speak for all aros - because some aros want to be in romantic relationships (or be otherwise partnered), and of course this is equally valid and should be respected! And on the same note, allos can be happy with being, or just want to be single, because again - this isn’t something defined by orientation.

But I think for a lot of us, our arospec orientation can be tied to how feel about our lives in relation to partnership ... which is that, we're okay (or happy) being single! For the longest time, I held it against myself that I wasn’t in a relationship, but not because I wanted to be in one - I just thought it was a milestone that would make other people think of me as a 'real' adult 😭😭 Realizing I was aro gave me the opportunity to reassess how I viewed myself, and my relationships with other people. I was able to actually let go of that idea of having a “””missing piece”””, and appreciate everyone and everything I have in my life. I sound kinda cheesy saying this, but for the first time, I think I have everything I've ever wanted, relationships wise? I'm at peace, and I really appreciate it.

strange little question but do you have any pets? cause this week after the exam i came back home to my family and my dog was here waiting for me, ugh i missed her sooo much!!! she brings me so much joy and i think everyone should experience having a pet once in their lives (cat, dog, rabbit, parrot, hamster, duck, whatever you like most) cause they are such good company and so so cuuute and lovely🥺🤎

2. ahhh, no! i guess it’s not so bad being allergic to pet dander if you’re not an animal fan. 🥲 i have a whole host of little fluffs, many of which are just a bundle of fur with eyes dhdgf. i started out lockdown with a bit of a fear of rodents and came out of it with 2 rabbits, a hamster, 6 mice & 2 rats… so i did a bit of an uno reverse! 😭 opening my bedroom window in solidarity (… when daylight breaks, as it’s currently -4°C and my fingers and toes are icicles dhfgf ⛄️)

i have seen harry twice! once in my home state, once at msg in new york! this might shock the masses, but i actually did not really love the msg experience agsjdgdjd i liked my home state show better for sound quality and getting around the venue and just overall vibes but he was amazing both times and at my msg show we got the spitting on chris pine joke agsjdgdjd i SCREAMED. i have yet to see louis, but i’m going in may! i’m so excited and expecting great thingsssss 🕺🏽✨

hobbies i have — reading is number one, just finished bunny by mona awad today! i am reading nightcrawling next 🫡 other hobbies areee listening to music and wandering around target and/or barnes and noble stsjdgdj i feel like i no longer know anything else i do. oh, sometimes i write a little, but its usually just for me or like for therapy or somethin like that!
