-. starter call for a woman who deserved better lmao
for the low, low cost of one heart and potentially one comment where you tell me who you want the starter for if you're a multimuse, you get access to one starter from test muse yu qianru, previously mentioned on this blog as wenzhe's deceased childhood friend (fun stuff ♥)
Some info under the cut ♥
25 year old engineering student, born to be a boyfriend but dedicates herself just as happily to... just about anything, really, will go out of her way to learn more things, start new courses, get new skills, as if she knew how much time she had left and wanted to explore and experience as many things as possible before her untimely death. The kind of person you want to have in your corner when you want someone vibrantly competent at starting things and then never finishing them because something equally interesting caught her eye as well. Her goal in life would be to get into nuclear engineering and revolutionize something there, and that's exactly how she puts it, it's as vague as I'm writing it.
Alternatively (option 2), post-death Qianru stuck on the mortal plane because her love for life and developing and learning, on top of knowing she can't care for Wenzhe anymore and how much her death is affecting him (that's him in the back of the gif btw uwu) makes it nearly impossible for her to ever truly move on. In reality, she has the maturity and willingness to accept death required to move on... Wenzhe is keeping her here.

ok last ooc post for the day (i’ve been making a lot of them lately oops) but if you follow me first and don’t make an attempt to write with me, i will softblock after a month. say what you want, but i shouldn’t have to reach out to someone who followed ME first. like, you obviously followed me because you wanted to write, yeah? so if you go a month with no attempts, that’s it. or if i continually try to reach out and you ignore me but engage with others, softblocked.
i’ve just been having this happening to me a lot lately and it’s exhausting. it’s just nice to know if there’s any interest at all as opposed to feeling like a number for your follower count.

STARTER CALL » @aaternum — 𝕜𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕣𝕦 𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕓𝕖 𝕒 𝕘𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕒𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕 𝕣𝕪𝕦.
“Order anything you’d like, Ryu-chan! It’ll be my treat today,” Kakeru insists with a carefree grin laced along his lips. “Oh, and thanks for taking time outta your busy schedule to spend time with this lonely ol’ man. I really appreciate it!” Honestly, their meeting at this cozy café might technically not have been a date, but at the same time, he couldn’t help being relieved Ryu showed up at all... especially since he happened to have arrived a good ten minutes before the agreed upon time.
Sure, one could argue he’s now rarely late to anything after Mitsuru’s death, but still, nothing would have been lamer than being stood up by a girl, let alone one as cute as her, while he’s drinking coffee all by his poor lonesome. Considering it was only recently he requested a cup from a server, however, tendrils of steam would still waft upwards through the air, making it rather apparent it had yet to grow cold.

plotted starter for @countlessrealitiess-2‘s mabel!
verse is v7 | undeserved grace
It had been many months since any footsteps had been heard in the mall, apart from his own. The silence overtook the once bustling car like a plague, louder to Simon than any sounds that the Apex had once made. He tried to get used to it. But he couldn’t, not really. He could only learn to live with it, though even doing that was, at times, hard.
He wandered idly through the rooms on the lower floor, attempting to quench a restlessness that overtook him more and more each day. He avoided Grace’s room on the upper floor like the plague, and even his own had taken on a haunted feeling that he couldn’t describe.
But then, so had the entire mall. Without the Apex, it was a shell of what it once was.
The mall itself hadn’t changed. And that in and of itself felt wrong, filling him with an uncanny and eerie feeling that only increased with each room he entered. It wasn’t unlike the way he had felt in the room where Samantha kept her “collection.” What started as a subtle dread, that kept amplifying until it had escalated into full-blown panic.
He hadn’t quite gotten to that point yet, when a sound from outside abruptly snapped him out of it. He jolted, heart racing as his gaze snapped in the direction of the sound- though, he couldn’t see into the outer room from where he was.
It sounded like a door opening.
His immediate instinct was to assume he had imagined it. He was, unfortunately, at the point where imagining things wasn’t out of the question. And yet, he knew very well that passengers found the mall car from time to time. They had gained a few members of the Apex that way.
If it had happened before, and there was nothing to stop it from happening again. It wasn’t as if the mall car had been cut off from the rest of the train. It was still a train car like any other, albeit drastically changed from what it was originally intended to be.
There was only one way to find out for sure.
He returned to the doorway of the ransacked store. Squinting, he scanned the outer room from there. Until, sure enough, his gaze landed on what was unmistakably another passenger. A much younger passenger, as far as he could tell from a distance.
He didn’t know how to react.
Did he ignore her? Let her move on, without any knowledge that another passenger was there?
It would be the easier option. But he wasn’t sure it was the right one.
Because as much as he hated the idea of it, as much as he resisted it- something needed to change. And finally seeing another passenger, after being isolated for so long… well, that was certainly a change.
So, he stepped through the doorway, into the outer area of the mall.
“If you’re looking for the exit, it’s on the second floor.”
