okay, just so you guys know...

I'm still working on Shadowing Nightwing. Just making edits and doing my best to tone down the length because it's well over 40k words and I–... I just can't.

Also, I'm trying to make sure that it's good and spicy enough for what y'all are expecting, but also something that won't get taken down on patreon, tumblr, etc. the literal second it's up—because again, it's spicy. Honestly, what I might end up doing is posting the first part of it, and then doing what I did with 'One Kent Was Enough,' linking the rest of the story to AO3 cause I'm tired of having to jump through hoops and loops with these platforms.

like Patreon is taking forever to "review" and put back one of my stories for "violating" community guidelines. And don't even get me started with Tumblr and their nonsense because I just saw one of my mutuals get his post hidden on here due to "explicit sexual content" that was "outside" of user guidelines.

and the crazy part is, his fic was under 1,500 words and was nowhere near as bad as some of the fem!reader content I've seen on here. Like I know I keep ranting about this (and I'll damn sure continue to), but I'm so sick of the bias against m!reader content, especially when it's explicit.

We already get a bunch of fem readers getting mad at us for not wanting to write content that includes them even when we explicitly state that we are m!reader authors and only write for male or gen!neutral readers. Then, the content we do write for our audience always ends up getting flagged or taken down for being outside of user guidelines, when it's barely anything bad.

Like the amount of abduction, non-con/CNC that could be considered borderline grape without the g, coercion, manipulation, Stockholm Syndrome, YANDERE, etc. f!reader fics I've read on this platform and others that have no warnings, flags, or shadowbans from what I can tell is truly something ridiculous. Matter of fact, they'll literally have the most likes, reblogs, and engagement I've ever seen. But, our male reader fics get flagged for using the word bussy instead of pussy...I'm not even joking.

but, I digress.

ANYWAY, with all that being said, once Shadowing Nightwing is posted, I'm gonna take a break away from smut and Omegaverse fics for a minute only because trying to do that specific stuff has started to feel more like a job than something I enjoy and have fun with, and I don't want to burn myself out or give y'all content that I'm not proud of or feel like it's half-assed.

Plus, I'll be honest, this past week has been really hard mentally, emotionally, and creatively for me given the results of this election, I can't even say I'm surprised, but I can damn well say I'm pissed off. Like, I can barely write without sitting there thinking about the fact that this orange peel of a FELON AND THUG—yeah I said it for you sibling and cousin fucking, buck-tooth, bobblehead, ding-dong, dropped ON your heads, mindless little minions—ahem—I mean, conservatives (if conservative means conversing brain cells that is) and his adult sid phillips looking ass v.p. cheated like someone trapped in a room with all their favorite foods while being on a diet, or more than half this country is really that stupid.

keep in mind, we're talking about a country with a lacking education system paired with a population of *checks note* sibling and cousin fucking, buck-tooth, bobblehead, DING-DONG, SLAMMED on their heads, mindless little minion bitches—AHEM—conservatives so that last part really wouldn't be surprising.

but again, I digress.

Shadowing Nightwing will be out soon, and we'll be returning to some PG-13 content for some time until I can wrap my head around this—or find the cheapest and quickest flight to Saturn—whichever comes first.

You were laughing at what Brock was saying as you planned the next mission; however, the smile was wiped off your face when you saw Steve enter the team meeting room. Although his presence there was not unusual, this time the mission was different.

They were to go to different cities, but only one person could accompany them.

The room was filled with murmurs as Steve explained the situation; however, you were ignoring everything he said; the whole team knew it was not to your liking.

“Y/N can go with you," Jack proposed with derision.

“I don't..."

“I think it's perfect; I think Y/N has everything he needs for the mission," Steve said.

After a few minutes, everyone's attention was focused on the map, with the red marks indicating the places where the enemies had attacked. You were standing in a corner, analyzing the information.

Steve approached you and handed you a folder with other details of the mission. “We need to follow them closely. I think they might be heading south, but I'm not entirely sure. I want you to lead this operation.

“I understand. We will find them," you replied.

You would leave the next day; you couldn't deny that you were surprised that Steve didn't want to be the leader of the mission as usual.

You arrived ten minutes before the time Steve had indicated, but he was already there. Without saying a word, he extended his hand to give you the keys to the vehicle. You looked at him with a little distrust and took them. He went to the passenger seat.

You had gone about five hours without saying a word. Why was Steve so complicated and easy to hate?

Sometimes you would pass on the songs; maybe you should ask him if he liked the music you were listening to. No, you would rather murder Jack when you come back; you would get revenge for getting into this mess.

“Why do you hate me?" Steve asked, breaking the silence you had had for almost eight hours.

“I don't hate you; I just don't like you," you answered without taking your eyes off the road. Steve raised an eyebrow. “You're very bossy, even more than Brock."

“Just because of that?"

“Maybe. "

“I like you."

You were silent again for another couple of hours.

Steve noticed your expression of concentration and discomfort and smiled. “Have you ever taken a road trip just for the pleasure of it?"

You shrugged. “I've never had the time for it. There's always a mission, always something to do."

“Well, maybe we should change that. After this mission, we could take some time to enjoy the road. What do you say?"

You smiled. “No. "

Steve kept his smile; he was absolutely sure it would change your mind.

Finally, you arrived at the last known location of the enemies. You didn't even have time to prepare or carry out the plan as you were immediately attacked, yet you managed to make the mission a success.

When you realized you had won, Steve took your face in his hands and kissed you. After a few seconds, you separated, looked at each other, and now you kissed him.

“Well, leader, how do you like the idea of a road trip now?"

“Okay, it's a plan. But first, we should rest and take the report. And of course, celebrate that the mission was a success." You changed your tone of voice a little, hoping that Steve had understood what you meant.

“I saw a small hotel on the way; we could stop there," he said.

“I hope there are rooms available," you commented with a mischievous smile.

“I think one is enough for us; I hope you don't mind sharing a bed." Steve tried to sound innocent.

“Maybe we'll have a lot of fun."

You got into the car; this time he would drive; you settled in the passenger seat; and as you drove, you looked at the stars. After all, what you felt for Steve wasn't hate, and you were going to make sure you had a good time before heading back.

okkieeee so last year i did this little game a couple of times, where i'd make a poll with my WIPs and the most voted one would be my main focus until i could finish writing it

based on sufjan steven's song "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out to Get Us!", i'm not actually sure exactly what i wanna do with this. i have two versions of this fic that i started, but the main thing is that it's through steve's POV as the Party grows and moves out and does things with their lives, but he and eddie grow a friendship through the years but eventually eddie also moves out and that's how steve realizes how he felt - it was more than friendship for him, he was in love. oblivious baby. again, i'm not so sure about this one, it's just that this song has touched me so deeply i need to write something for it

i talked a bunch about it here MANY months ago, but basically, spicy six moves out to a city with a big punk scene, jonathan introduces that scene to steve who finds a way to express his emotions through that music and the concerts and the culture as a whole, but without an extreme change of visuals. fic is told through eddie's POV, seeing steve finding comfort and finding himself in this new subculture, changing himself so subtly but also so obviously, and kinda falling in love in the proccess. i'm still not sure if anything's gonna happen between them in this fic, or if it's a pre-relationship, or if it's gonna be a throuple thing [eddie x steve x jonathan] but the ship is not the focus here

YEAR ONE – SUMMER – SWEET PEAS

A/N: She's got a name! Thanks to everyone who voted because I really couldn't decide by myself...and it's such a pretty name, too!

Okay, so things are slow but I'm taking every free moment I have to write. As usual, if you like it, please consider reblogging. It means the world to me.

Writing for Abby was very fun. I think she's very underrated.

I'm trying to make these short so they're easy to read and write.

Dahlia woke up early that morning with a detailed list of the things she had to do. First, clear up a small portion of land so she could prepare the soil to plant the parsnips Lewis gave her the previous day.

“Well, that wasn’t so hard” she said with a tired smile once she was done. A long sigh escaped her mouth as she sat down on the thin steps of her porch. She looked back at her new home. It certainly smelled worse than the apartment she used to rent; it was clearly abandoned after her grandpa died. Even though Lewis and Robin did their best to prepare it for her arrival, the signs of neglect were hiding in plain sight. At least this place was hers. Having it fixed was a challenge she was determined to overcome.

A rumble in her stomach stopped her train of thought. She headed back inside and opened the fridge “Oh, right” She grimaced “I forgot to buy food when I got here”

After washing up, she made her way to town. Robin told her there was a JojaMart crossing the bridge, but she could get better quality items in a place called Pierre’s General Store. Her farm was relatively close to the rest of the town. She decided to take the path that led to the bus station, since it was the most familiar. She stopped for a couple of minutes to pick some sweet peas to decorate the old basket she found by her chimney.

When she finally made it to the store, she noticed a sign hanging from the door.

“Of course it’s closed” Dahlia huffed and turned around with her arms crossed in front of her. She was already starting to feel too tired to wander around town trying to find the JojaMart Robin told her about.

Suddenly, a little bell chime made her turn around and a purple haired girl bumped into her, making her drop her basket full of sweet peas.

“Oh- sorry! Are you okay? Let me help you with that” They both put the flowers back in the basket

“Yeah, sorry about that too, I shouldn’t be in the way” she offered her a sweet pea in gratitude

“Thank you” She said accepting her gift

“I’m Dahlia”

 “Oh, that’s right…I heard someone new was moving onto that old farm. I’m Abigail, by the way. Are you taking a break from work?”

“Um, kind of…my fridge is empty, so I wanted to do some shopping, but the store is closed”

“Don’t worry, we open at 9. It should be open anytime now”

“We?”

“Yeah, my dad is Pierre from Pierre’s General Store…” Abigail shrugged and laughed sheepishly

“Oh, I see” Dahlia laughed along “So, I’ll be able to have lunch after all”

“He closes on Wednesdays, though. If you get hungry you can always drop by the Saloon”

“The Saloon? What’s that?”

“The Stardrop Saloon. It’s right across the store” She pointed to a rather big building “In the heart of the town, you can’t miss it”

“So, they have good food there?”

“You bet! Gus is the best, you must try the spicy eel, it’s delicious!”

“I’ve never had eel, it sounds slimy”

“Don’t knock it till you tried it” Abigail’s eyes suddenly widened “I have an idea. Why don’t you join us? I’ll introduce you to my friends!”

“What, now?” Dahlia looked down at her dirty clothes.

“No, no…Friday evening, we all hang out there, it’s kind of like a Friday tradition, I guess…”

“I guess I can—”

“No, there’s nothing to think about. Just be there” Abigail insisted “You’ll have fun, I promise”

“Okay, then” Dahlia gave in.

Behind them, a tall man turned a small sign to indicate the store was now open.

“I guess you can go in now. I must go anyway. It was nice meeting you, Dahlia. Thanks for the sweet pea, I’ll eat it on the way!” Abigail turned around and started walking away.

Did she just say she’ll eat a flower? Dahlia frowned, looking down at her basket. She picked one and put it in her mouth figuring it wouldn’t do any harm to try something now.

“Well, she’s either a liar, a joker, or a crazy person” She mumbled after she spat it out.

“She’s certainly a bit of everything” A voice spoke behind her. Dahlia turned around to see the same man who opened the store

“Ah, you must be Abigail’s father” She smiled, a little embarrassed.

“I’m Pierre, owner of this store” He nodded.

“I’m Dahlia, I moved in a couple of days ago from the city”

“Mrs. Dahlia! The new farmer! Come in, come in, the store is open” He led her inside the building.

“Miss Dahlia is fine. I’m not that old, and certainly not married” She laughed. Once inside, she took in the sweet aromas and intense colors of the different seasonal fruits and vegetables “Wow…I can only hope to grow these kinds of beauties one day!”

“Well, if you're looking for seeds, my shop is the place to go. I'll also buy produce from you for a good price! A little agriculture could really inject new life into the local economy!”

“I don’t think I’ll harvest in a long time, though. I only have some parsnips in there”

“Don’t worry about that, you’ll see the fruits of your labor sooner than later. Trust me” Pierre stood behind the counter “Now, what do you need?”

“You see, I’m a little short on funds” She confessed “and I need seeds. Do you have something that’s, you know, affordable?”

“Sure thing, we have the best prices in town. Can I interest you in some pepper seeds for 40g?”

“Two, please” A rumble in her stomach reminded her of what she really wanted. “I’m going to need some ingredients as well: Rice, oil…flour, sugar…do you have any eggs?”

“Sorry, we’re out of eggs right now, but you can talk to Marnie, she’s our primary provider.” He took out a map of the town and showed her a point near a forest “She lives not far from here”

“I live just across that forest”

“So, there’s no way you’ll get lost. Take the map, just in case” He folded the piece of paper and handed it to her. He took a box from behind the counter “Take his, too. It’s fertilizer, it’ll make your work easier, just remember to mix it with the tilled soil before planting your seeds”

“You’re too generous, thank you very much” Dahlia took out the flowers out of her small basket and pushed her purchases in it “I’ll be back for that beauty soon” She laughed, glancing at a leather backpack.

“You’re always welcome, have a nice day!”

She walked towards her house, ready to cook some rice and continuing clearing the farm to prepare a good soil for her new crops.

It was a god awful movie. Probably the worst movie Ive ever seen. Nothing redeemable about it. When it first came out i thought the trailer was cute and I wanted to go to the movie theatre to watch a "coming of age movie" but I didnt for some reason. THANKFULLY this movie didnt steal my money.

Last Show: What We Do in the Shadows 🦇

I cant believe that I didnt like it the first time I gave it a try during the pandemic. I needed a new show to start this winter and I liked the colors of the poster so I gave it a second try and FELL IN LOVE HEAD OVER HEELS!!! Im watching all the interviews and reading all the fics! I am a nandermo believer!!!
