Heyy I haven’t posted here in a while bc I’m waiting for more Jelsie content after their…..demise (which I didn’t like how that happened but that’s neither here nor there)

But I’m just stopping by to make a general statement about my blog bc I got a bit of a homophobic reply on one of my posts that I had to delete. I’d like to make it clear that just bc this blog is dedicated to a canon straight ship does NOT mean that I condone any kind of homophobia and that I think fanon ships are any less valid than canon ships. People can ship whatever they want, gay or straight, canon or fanon. Fandom is for everyone and everyone has the right to post about whatever they want, nobody should be trying to police that. There are people that ship based on character aesthetics, other people can ship two characters that have never met, it’s ALL okay. I personally prefer to ship based on the canon material between two characters. In Edens Zero it just so happens that the canon material made Jelsie interesting. But most of my anime ships are actually m/m pairings: Soukoku, Bakudeku, SasuNaru, to name a few. (I do have f/f ships outside of anime, but I don’t want to get into the why of that right now). And that’s because in those animes I believe each of those pairings has the greatest amount of canon content with good shipping material. It’s just how I ship, but there’s nothing wrong with how other people ship.

Again, this blog is a safe space for the LGBT community and I WILL delete all homophobic remarks.

Danny is from a world where everyone has wings, even if most have long since lost the ability to fly. Something about loading and aspect ratio, wings being too small, body too heavy, now mostly used as display, whatever. 

It doesn’t matter even if he had blueprints from when he was like six of a jetpack to help fly. It won’t work anyway and hey, he has his ghost form! Which uh, might be perhaps, affecting his wings which were maybe sort of scorched black and practically down to the bone thanks to the accident. 

It doesn’t matter, he swears. Though he’s admittedly relieved to see the new feathers growing in are different from Dan’s angry sunset. Even if they’re not even supposed to be able to grow back. Alright, this is fine, no one is going to notice! It’s not like everyone knows about the poor Fenton kid whose wings were absolutely destroyed thanks to an accident! It’s fine. 

He’s not flying in a half-panic towards the Far Frozen while crying because his wings are coming back and he’s so scared. He didn’t panic and instantly fled the moment Jazz pointed them out while changing the bandages. 

He definitely didn’t trip over something while wiping away said tears and blacking out from all the stress and all of his problems that he definitely mentioned to someone and isn’t keeping a secret. Definitely. 

Hawkwoman and Hawkman would like everyone to know that neither of them were expecting a very small child to be spat out of the villain of that week’s machine that should definitely not be a portal. A very small child, maybe nine or ten, with a multitude of concerning wounds both old and fresh. Which isn’t even beginning to touch on the wings. 

Feathered, like baby down despite the gnarled scars, unlike their own metallic, with the beginning of tiny specklings like stars amidst the darker fuzz peeking from the wounded flesh. 

Who?! Who dared?! It’s (at least to the forever reincarnating duo) a literal baby! They still have down! Tiny baby fuzz! Was it the portal?! Oh this villain is going to taste their maces for causing this if that’s the case! 

The rest of the Justice League would honestly like to know what just happened and are honestly unsure on if they should stop the two…

Satoru Gojo goes to the same cafe every day for his coffee-flavored confectionary beverage. You are the barista tasked with pumping his drink with the unreasonable assortment of syrup squeezes.

You don't blink at it. You've been in customer service forever. Everything is second nature to you. But you give him a look when you hand him a drink and he just starts going.

He likes to make small chat, you learn. About meaningless things - desserts, drinks, the weather - but he makes you laugh, and he laughs at your jokes, too. He's smiling every time you talk.

He's beautiful - in that way that makes you uncertain if he's really there - and friendly, and he seems a bit lonely, eager to converse.

Something tells you Satoru probably doesn't have a lot of close friends. He's rich, too, judging by the massive tips he leaves you.

The thing is, you do a lot of things on autopilot. It's just the way these things get after a while. Pouring drinks, "What would you like today?", "I'll have that out for you soon!", "Have a nice day!", all that stuff.

Sometimes, though. Sometimes. Wires get crossed.

He's picked up his drink to leave, giving you a cheeky smile and a little wave, and you tell him, without thinking twice:

"Love you, bye!"

Oh. Oh fucking hell -

"Love you too!"

i keep seeing posts about how solas needs to “repent” in veilguard in order to deserve any kind of happy not totally tragic ending and i’m admittedly very biased but also….is a thousand years of regret not enough? like, yeah, he fucked up the world (by accident, in desperation), and yeah, he’s misguided (even though his mind can demonstrably be changed through like, basic kindness), and YEAH, we don’t know his exact plans in veilguard, but they’re all born of immense regret and a sense of personal responsibility?? i also can’t imagine any of his motivations coming close to those of the gods he stopped in the first place??? the whole catalyst for his “trickster god” origin story is that he stopped an objectively evil force from continually reaping his people and i can’t imagine the “repentance” bit clicking in any way that would feel satisfying unless you hate him and find him irredeemable, in which case...i don’t think we took the same messages away from inquisition.

Parts make up a whole, but Mumbo hasn't been a part of anything for a very long time. He was okay with that though. The world was more than welcome to continue outside his window, as long as he had his oven and his cable tv all to himself. these tags have been bothering me for a few days now. i understand wanting some private time at home with your partner, but can you not see that this is EXACTLY the attitude i'm talking about?

does your third housemate ALSO get an allotted time where you and your partner have to leave, or is it only for you? is this something you coordinate on days when your housemate is already independently making other plans, or are you just expecting to be able to kick them out of the house at will like this is a college dorm room?

this isn't a situation where you are three equal parties building a life, this is you and your partner treating someone else like a third wheel you wish would go away and a money bank to help you pay your bills. if that works for all parties involved then it's no skin off my nose, but can't you see that this is literally not at all the situation that i was describing? i'll make a very personal post about how it hurts when people act like my housemates would be justified in trying to get rid of me and alloromantic people will literally be like "this sounds great—as long as i can get rid of you!" like do y'all hear yourselves. do you actually see the words when aros post or is it just static for you.

this is the way people talk about their children, how they want their children out of the house so they can have some alone time. not the way you should be talking about a fellow adult who literally pays for and whose name is on the deed of the house you all live in. aro people aren't housepets.

I just found maybe the best lining up of events ever and perhaps even proof the Bulb is real:

I was rewatching the third episode of ACOC (as one does) where we have our first real interactions with Commander Grissini and at one point he says aloud the name Payment Day. For those not in the know, in Calorem it is believed that if one speaks the name of a weapon they are doomed to be slain by it. This is why all the Taste Buds' weapons have both a name and a title (e.g. Payment Day and The King's Sword, Flickerish and The Twizzling blade, Sour Scratch and The Puckering Bow, &c.), so that one might refer to a weapon without saying its name. I was immediately scandalised, of course. Doesn't Grissini know better? And to the king's face too! But then suddenly I had a thought. Could it be that the universe had lined up perfectly? That it found a way to bring the rules and magic of Calorem into our world to bring about the most beautiful of coincidences? That once again Brennan proved himself king of (accidental) foreshadowing? I race to investigate and lo and behold, in episode 17 "For Candia (part 2)", Commander Grissini is killed by King Amethar with The King's Sword, Payment Day.
