Also, there is so much hand-wringing over the ethics of BDSM and while obviously it is worth taking care about ...sensation seeking is a thing. Many, many people enjoy eating habanero peppers and/or watching movies that make them cry. The conceptual leap from there to the idea that it's possible for sex to hurt good is a very short one, and sometimes it REALLY is as simple as that.

this is coming from the position of a student, so don't take my word as gospel, but i want to strongly encourage people to prepare for the coming years and look outward to find communities in real life. this can be big like getting involved in fundraisers or organizations or small like going to poc/queer/art social spaces and talking to people. making friends and connections will help you and others build support networks, something you will need as we enter the new term. i know talking to strangers in real life can be scary, unfamiliar, or difficult (depending on where you live especially) and it may take a lot of compromising and work –– and i don't want to condescend –– but we have to try starting now. this is about your safety and welfare, as well as the most vulnerable people's.

if leftists/progressives/minorities want to survive and beat back what's coming, we need to do our work offline too and take up space. an example of getting involved would be (if you're an artist) reaching out to fundraising organizers and making prints of your artwork to donate for raising funds.

#personal #this doesn't account for everyone but it's something to think about #also please be nicer to people. leftists especially on social media have a tendency to be mean in a very unconstructive way to each other #and i don't want to discount what they tend to be angry or mean about because it often does matter but i hope our first reaction toward #a dissenting opinion or behavior is a little grace instead of immediately dunking on each other for points #i'm also not saying online communities and spaces aren't any good for support but. it might not be enough. put the work in to prep yourself #it sucks how when right wingers lose they blame leftists. when leftists lose we blame each other.#leftists blame liberals and liberals blame poc voters and it can be completely true and warranted and then we all get killed #please resist doing that this time #be a friend; show some grace; look out for each other please #an example from my life would be i've been going to munches and queer/kink events and meeting friendly people #it's pretty tiring socializing and working through those interactions and by the end i'm also pretty tired #but it's worth it because not only do i know someone irl who's like me but if they're ever in trouble or need help #i can be a potential lifeline to them in an immediate way. and vice versa

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

Well, I don't know about y'all, but completely regardless of what happens in the next few days? I am not fucking giving up. We don't know the full results yet, but I'm already angry. I mean literally mad as hell. I think really, I've been mad as hell for a very long time.

So you know what? I am going to be fucking kind. I am going to be fucking compassionate. I am going to fucking help where I can, and keep making my tiny little corner of the universe as full of love and hope as I can. I am going to keep voting, because that's one step closer to fucking fixing this. I am going to keep raising my voice, and uplifting others' voices, because I've got one fucking skill in this world and that's stories.

You know why I'm going to do all this? Because that's what this is all about. The entire purpose of human society is to take care of those around you. I've spent way too long dragging my way out of despair to let it drag me back again.

Take the time you need. Take a step back to take care of yourself, so that when you're ready, you can help take care of others. As for me, it's my turn to take a step forward.

So it's kinda interesting how Jinx is basically Caitlyn's own extremely malevolent genie. Every desire she has, Jinx fulfills, but with such a cruel twist that it almost defeats the point.

Want something new and exciting in your sheltered life? Well, one might say nearly getting blown up is pretty exciting. Looking for a real job to undertake? Here's a convenient pile of evidence leading you straight to the heart of a criminal empire. Good luck getting out of this mess though. Coworkers making you feel excluded? They can't do that now; they're dead. Longing to see Vi again? Don't worry. You will be taken to her, like it or not. Mum being too restrictive? Never again!

It's no wonder Jinx is associated with monkeys when her role in the show is ensuring a monkey's paw curls any time Caitlyn has a vague inclination towards something.

I find it very realistic that Megumi wants to try to live for someone else again instead of for himself directly. I mean it. It will take him a long time to recover from what he has suffered, which was too much for a child (because he is still a child!!). At first I thought Megumi was going to pick himself up, but looking at it from another perspective and analyzing my own experience with mental health: it makes sense. Megumi needs help. And he will get it. Yuuji and his friends will teach him to live for himself. The ending of Megumi's character is a new beginning, unlike the others.

Btw, did y'all notice his scars are Sukuna's? The way i'd kms on the spot, poor boy :( he's going to live with the curse of remembering every time he looks on the mirror

He is accurate within 10 seconds of 5am every day.#I think the Jiang disciples are most likely used to waking up around 6:00-7:00am #But the allure of having a guaranteed time keeper getting you up in the morning is worth the earlier hour.#I imagine they started outside lwj's door and slowly moved closer as the weeks went on.#Now LWJ has to cope with being way too warm in the night from all the extra body heat.#LWJ is not a fan of this but they scamper off immediately after he wakes up and they at least show initiative to follow routine.#NHS joins in only because he is a chronically heavy sleeper and needs this level of intervention to get up early.#His boldness would be a death sentence in the cloud recesses but here?
