this is just a post listing all of the scenes in BnHA which underline Bakugou’s narrative importance and the way that it’s intrinsically connected to Deku and his storyline, because I really want to emphasize that the MORE THAN 300 CHAPTERS OF BUILD-UP just slightly outweigh the literal seven chapters in which he hasn’t played a major role just lately. recency bias is a thing guys, and we should all try to remember that.
not Kacchan establishing his goal and ultimate endgame less than one page after his introduction.
not Kacchan being saved by Deku less than an hour after burning his notebook and telling him to jump off a roof, establishing the contradictory nature of their relationship right from the get-go, and changing Deku’s destiny forever as All Might witnesses this moment and realizes that Deku is more heroic than he ever could have imagined. “you looked like you needed saving.” that’s a line that’s already had at least one callback, and with Deku now struggling in the current manga the time could be ripe for an even more powerful one.
not “win and save” being established as the two cornerstones of the hero philosophy all the way back in chapter 5, with Deku and Kacchan each embodying one of these dual aspects, and being narratively primed to walk opposite paths in their respective hero journeys, only to meet at the middle when they reach the end.
not Deku and Kacchan having an iconic battle less than ten chapters into the series, during which their rivalry is further established and the complicated history of their childhood friendship is expanded on.
not Kacchan’s first childhood flashback revealing that the pivotal, character-defining event of his childhood was baby Deku reaching out his hand and asking if he was okay.
not Deku instinctively reaching out to Kacchan yet again all of two chapters later, making a fateful decision which will have massive ramifications down the line and which will eventually alter the course of Kacchan’s character development.
not Kacchan’s teachers thoughtfully praising his “overwhelming tenacity” and All Might noting his potential for greatness early on the series.
not Deku choosing a hero name originally given to him by Kacchan, but repurposing and reclaiming it, and possibly paving the way for another parallel that’s just waiting to be capitalized on. Kacchan feel free to tell us more about your own hero name’s meaning whenever you get a chance.
not Deku becoming stronger by learning from Kacchan (win to save).
not Deku and Kacchan deliberately being paired together for their final exam and Kacchan having a fucking meltdown until Deku literally knocks some sense into him, at which point he immediately gets his head back on straight because the two of them are capable of getting through to each other in a way that nobody else can.
not All Might being all “THIS FIGHT SURE IS SOME GREAT FORESHADOWING FOR THE TWO OF THEM TEAMING UP TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE AS FORETOLD BY DESTINY.”
not Kacchan becoming stronger by taking a page out of Deku’s book (save to win).
not Deku being the last person Kacchan sees before the LoV take him away, and the two of them locking eyes until the last possible second before Kacchan disappears and Deku literally falls to his knees screaming in the most dramatic breakdown of the entire series.
not the two of them being singled out in a crowd of hundreds and framed side by side desperately cheering on All Might in his darkest hour in the battle which will change the entire course of the series.
not Aizawa literally saying that class 1-A revolves around Bakugou and Deku.
not Deku and Kacchan having the most iconic battle of the entire series and being all “goddammit I can’t figure out why my entire life revolves around you and it’s driving me crazy” and being fully honest with each other for the first time in their lives, and then having All Might come over and tell them “you two need each other, and you need to learn from each other, because each of you intuitively understands part of what it means to be a great hero, and by working together you will both one day be able to rise to the top.”
not Kacchan, and only Kacchan, being inducted into Club OFA a full two hundred chapters before anybody else.
not Kacchan and Deku obsessing over showing off for each other in the Joint Training arc while All Might looks on like a proud dad.
not Kacchan’s phenomenal progress in the JT arc being traced directly back to the lessons he learned from All Might and Deku.
not Deku being triggered into activating a wholeass new fucking quirk because someone said something mean about Kacchan.
not Horikoshi answering the question of “so what’s next for Kacchan’s character development?” with “he’s going to begin the slow burn process of realizing that he needs to make amends to Deku.”
not Kacchan being focused on Deku during Tomura’s attack on Jakku, and realizing what he’s about to do, and immediately moving in step beside him without the slightest hesitation because he’s determined to stay with him and protect him.
not All Might literally saying “THEY WILL GET A CHANCE TO TALK YOU GUYS SO JUST BE PATIENT.”
not Kacchan unconsciously emulating Deku when he’s focused on saving, and mimicking everything from his exact style of strategizing down to his speech patterns, in the exact same way that Deku starts unconsciously imitating Kacchan’s own mannerisms and speech when he’s focused on winning.
not Kacchan’s milestone “Rising” chapter being explicitly centered around this transcendent moment when he reacts without thinking in order to save Deku’s life.
not Deku activating a wholeass new fucking quirk AGAIN because someone insulted Kacchan AGAIN.
not Kacchan being all “Deku’s not the only one whose quirk goes through Awakenings when he sees that his childhood rivalfriend is in danger.”
not Kacchan having an entire character arc devoted solely to the importance of him choosing a hero name, which he has yet to reveal to Deku.
last but not least, not a whole entire montage of Horikoshi interview quotes with him talking about the thematic importance of “win to save, save to win” (it’s literally what heroism means to him), and talking about Bakugou’s future, and how he’s determined to write an even better ending than the one in Heroes Rising, and how the story will have a conclusion where all of the characters come together in the end.
so yeah. just in case it isn’t clear from all of this,
Bakugou and Deku’s destinies are intertwined in a way that runs deeper than any other connection in the series
the two of them have spurred on each other’s growth throughout the entirety of the manga
their character development has revolved around each other literally from the start
their journeys mirror and complement each other in a way that enriches the narrative
they each represent one half of All Might’s legacy
and their bond is at the center of the series’s emotional resonance
and Horikoshi is not just going to all of a sudden forget all of that and ignore it entirely in the series’s final act. I literally can’t understand why anyone would think that. it’s all right there you guys. 300 chapters’ worth of history and development. this is how it is, and this is how it has always been. like it or not, these two idiots are both in this together, and their respective endgames are inextricably tied to one another. win and save, you guys.

Fandom & The TROS Press Tour
Warning: common sense incoming. If you’re looking for the usual millennial/zoomer Tumblr word salads, that’s not what I’m serving.
I get that some fans, particularly fellow Reylo fans, are feeling a little let down by the TROS press tour. At least they sure are on Twitter. I for one am not invested in “trio discourse” because I’m predicting it’s going to be largely the first act of the film. It’s going to be The Goonies or Stranger Things with adults, with Rey as the Eleven and Poe the Steve Harrington and BB-8 a droid version of Erika, etc.. I can buy that after hanging out together for a year in a war situation, the crew would build a strong friendship. Fine. I don’t think though it’s going to be all peachy keen because something will draw Rey and Kylo together again. It’s all there in the trailer and the interviews.
But that also means the Reylo relationship has to stay under wraps, meaning the dreams of lush photo sessions and banter-filled joint interviews are not going to come true. It sucks but that’s how it is because of the big Will They Or Won’t They way they’re telling this story. Maybe it’s something Lucasfilm needs to think about when it is going to tell romantic storylines in the future.
What Lucasfilm needs to think about even more is recognizing that fans LOVE seeing their faves all together on these press tours. It’s important to them. I believe what’s feeding this disappointment is the knowledge this is the last time the ST cast is appearing together but some of the key favorites are not there. Adam is spending every other day promoting Marriage Story or The Report, but has only done one TROS appearance. Ever. Granted it’s an unusual situation to be promoting three movies at once, one of which is likely to score him an Oscar. He’s got obligations to three studios and maybe he feels the other films need his attention more than TROS, which will make a crapload of money no matter what and he can’t say very much about the film anyway. When the first trailer dropped, he was busy doing Burn This. Now it comes out he won’t be doing the full cast show with Jimmy Fallon next week for some reason (probably needs to promote Marriage Story in Kamchatka). Nobody can predict if someone’s career is going to explode, but I think going forward, Lucasfilm needs to secure firm commitments from these guys beforehand.
Disappointed fans are now turning their frustrations on John and Daisy. Whatever John had to say about TLJ, he probably should’ve kept it to himself. I see that as a result of two years of constant social media haterade. But let me offer this perspective as a fan who has been through three trilogies.
First off, you must accept that your faves are going to at various points let you down. They are going to do or say things you won’t like. Just about everybody in Star Wars in all of the trilogies have annoyed me at one point or another. There are some (I won’t name names) whom I don’t like even if I love their characters. It’s okay. I’ll also point out that just about all of the major players in Star Wars have bitched about it over the years. Boy is the GFFA alumni association full of complainers! There’s a reason why I think it should be mandatory that anyone hired to work in a franchise series watch Galaxy Quest.
Actors can be disappointing in a lot of ways. They are among the most flawed people you’ll ever encounter: insecure, outer-directed, people pleasing, neurotic, etc.. You’re spending your life hiding behind characters for a reason. Not to say they're bad people. But they’re definitely a different breed.
All of that said, these guys are under a tremendous amount of scrutiny. We’re not scrutinized the same way, not even in an era of social media. Adam’s a consummate professional and so is Oscar, but both have been in this game for a long time. Adam is very adept at sidestepping controversy; he never lets anyone hang the baggage associated with people he’s worked with around his neck. But even he steps in land mines every now and then.
You also have to remember reporters are not always honest. I started calling them Darth Media during the prequels era for a reason. “Journalists” will often twist words, take things out of context, or even make stuff up just for the controversy and clicks. Making matters worse is ever-shifting goalposts of what’s not “problematic.” Social media mobs eager to “cancel” and the media lie in wait to see who they can destroy. It’s a sport for them. Opening your mouth is precarious in this kind of environment.
Which is what IMO happened to Daisy with The Guardian. Sorry but that was a trap. If you saw the author’s tweets (not going to link to them but you can look them up), she was getting pats on the back for the catty jealous Mean Girl b.s. attempt to make Daisy look bad. Think...here you are, just there to promote your lightsaber swinging epic, and all of a sudden the interviewer starts making personal digs at you, implying you got where you are only because you’re white and your folks weren’t living under a bridge. Worse yet, the interviewer tries to put a wedge in your close friendship with your co-star. No wonder the British press has a reputation for being mean-spirited. And of course you’re going to be caught off your feet which was the goal. I’m really, really surprised those criticizing Daisy didn’t see through it.
I’ve been through this all so many times, I’m almost numb to it. Maybe one day you’ll be too.

10 Secrets Behind The Making Of Once Upon A Time | ScreenRant
Once Upon A Time was a show full of magic, fairytale characters, incredible storytelling, and most importantly, true love. While they may have had ups and downs throughout the series' seven-season run, they still created a world we were all lucky to be a part of each week.
What happens behind the scenes of a television show can sometimes be even more interesting than the show itself, we have come to learn. Whether it's love blossoming on set, feuds between co-stars, or explanations of easter eggs you never noticed before, there are interesting tidbits of information about the making of this incredible show you never would have thought of before.
For all the Oncers still out there after the show's fairytale end last year, here are the 10 Secrets Behind The Making Of Once Upon A Time.
RELATED: Supernatural: 10 Times The Show Broke Our Hearts
10 Prince Charming Was Supposed To Stay Dead After The Pilot
Co-creators Kitsis and Horowitz revealed that they had originally put in the draft of the pilot of Once Upon A Time that Prince Charming actually died from the apparently fatal stab wound he received while saving his daughter. When he died in the pilot, he was meant to stay that way for the rest of the series.
Of course, they later realized his importance to the show and instead had him land in the hospital in a coma when he went to the land without magic instead. This was a fantastic change of plans for the show because he played a pivotal role in Emma Swan's journey and life.
9 Co-Stars Jennifer Morrison And Lana Parilla Allegedly Feuded
It is completely understandable that when making a television show, not every co-star will get along with one another. They simply have to find a way to tolerate each other.
The same was the case for stars of Once, Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parilla. It was long-rumored and almost well-known knowledge amongst the fanbase that the two were not on good terms. The two rarely did joint interviews or were photographed side-by-side together and even used body doubles in a lot of scenes with the other instead of doing the scenes together. The irony of their characters feud on the show is not lost on us.
8 Josh Dallas And Ginnifer Goodwin Fell In Love On Set
Snow White and Prince Charming, played by Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, are the epitome of true love in the Once Upon A Time universe. They even are the reason for the start of the events that unfold from the very first episode.
In real life, Goodwin and Dallas fell just as head over heels in love with one another as their characters did on the show. While initially the two were attached to other people, they found love with each other and are now happily married with two children of their own. Talk about a fairytale ending.
7 Hook Was Meant To Be A Part Of The Show From Day One
It's safe to say that Captain Hook was one of the most enthralling—and charming—characters on the entire show. Played by Colin O'Donoghue, he immediately drew you in even when he was more villain than hero. Eventually, he did earn his hero status, which was the intention of co-creators Kitsis and Horowitz, and even found true love with none other than our heroine, Emma Swan.
That was always the plan for the creators, but they had a difficult time acquiring the rights to J.M. Barrie's character. Even though they wanted him to be a part of the original cast in season 1, they finally were able to introduce him in season 2. We couldn't imagine the show without him, now.
6 Lana Parilla Had The Writers Change Regina’s Storyline With Henry
In a somewhat controversial move, star Lana Parilla, who plays the Evil Queen/Regina, decided that she needed to go to the writers and have them change the course of Regina's relationship with her adopted son, Henry.
It was rather confusing when they changed Regina into a hero after two seasons of villainy, and even more confusing was the fact that she developed a close relationship with her illegitimately adopted son, Henry. In the first two seasons, she emotionally manipulated him, wipes his memories, and even suspends him in the air with tree vines. Parilla's want to show a healthy adoptive relationship made the storyline completely muddled and downright confusing to viewers.
5 Lady Gaga Could Have Been On The Show
The Blue Fairy on Once Upon A Time was always a bit of an enigma to both the characters and the fanbase of the show. She always seemed sketchy in the sense of you never truly knew what her motives were in helping our heroes.
When writing and casting the role of the character, creators of the show were hoping for a specific musician in music to take on the shifty fairy. That musician? Mega pop-star Lady Gaga. They reached out to her management to offer her the role but never heard back. Truthfully, they weren't even sure she received the offer, in the end.
4 Sean Maguire Wasn’t Happy With Robin Hood’s Ending
Once Upon A Time was a fantastic show in a lot of ways, but where it lacked was equal focus on their ensemble cast of characters. They had trouble shifting the focus too frequently to the point where certain characters became forgotten.
A perfect example would have to be Robin Hood. Sean Maguire, who played the archer on Once, expressed his unease and was less-than-thrilled with his characters' abrupt and final end at the hands of Hades. Even before his death, he rarely was given material to work with towards the end and seemed to just be lost in the background, like other characters before him.
3 They Feared Ginnifer Goodwin Would Quit Her First Day
There really is no way Once would have worked without Snow White as a major part of the show. Ginnifer Goodwin was perfectly cast in the role, but producers were nervous that she would quit on her very first day.
While preparing to film the first scene with her in the coffin, they hollowed out a tree trunk for the scene. She was going to be in a dress in this trunk with snow coming down, and, understandably, they were worried it would be too much to ask of her right away. So, when she came out and asked, "is that the coffin?" and producers confirmed, she surprised them when she said "F—ing awesome.”

2 Rumpelstiltskin Was Written For Robert Carlyle
When the writers of Once Upon A Time were originally interpreting their version of Rumpelstiltskin for the show, they pictured actor Robert Carlyle immediately for the role. Of course, it helped them to fully develop the character, even if they never in their wildest dreams imagined that he would actually want to be on the show.
To their great surprise, he was more than willing to enter their magical world, and he became one of the most iconic characters to ever grace the series. He was there up until the very end and he definitely made his performance a memorable one.
1 The Clock Tower Had A LOST Reference
The clock tower in the series had a major significance to the people of Storybrooke. It was stuck at the same time for 28 years and made all of the town's residents literally frozen in time throughout its entire duration.
The time that the clock had stopped was 8:15, which had fans of the hit series speculating what the significance of the time would mean for the characters of the land without magic. Turns out, it was the co-creators' nod to a show they had worked on before: LOST. It was reference to the infamous Oceanic Flight 815 that began the puzzling mystery that was LOST.

'Kate v Meghan: Princesses at War?' investigates rumored royal feud as palace stays mum - USA TODAY

Is there a vicious feud raging between everyone’s favorite royal sisters-in-law, Duchess Kate of Cambridge and Duchess Meghan of Sussex? They’ll never say. But that doesn’t stop TV networks and media from whetting fan appetites with speculation.
Thus, “Kate v Meghan: Princesses at War?” landed Tuesday on TLC, the cable network that once brought you the “19 Kids and Counting” family and now airs “Dr Pimple Popper” and “My 600 Lb Life.”
Technically, neither Kate nor Meghan are princesses; they’re royal duchesses. But “princess” sounds better to royally confused Americans so that’s what they went with. Also, the question mark at the end of the title is an important signal to take everything said with a proper dose of skepticism.
What was the show about?
It was an hour-long exploration of whether there is “any truth to the speculation of unrest” between the former Kate Middleton and the former Meghan Markle and their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry.
British media people – royal reporters and commentators, royal historians and biographers, broadcasters and former royal staffers – were the talking heads brought in to explain why media people have been gossiping about a royal rift near daily for months.
You’d be hard-pressed to decide if the stories are true from watching this, but if you’re a royal fan you’ve made up your mind already. Some of the talking heads have made up their minds, too.
“Meghan needs to understand this is the British monarchy and she is not in a TV show, this is not a performance, this is the real story,” sniffed Lady Colin Campbell, an eccentric Jamaican-born ex-wife of a British aristocrat who has written books about the royals.
What do palace officials have to say?
Nothing. There is no official, on-the-record confirmation from Kensington Palace (or any palace) about a “war” between the duchesses or their husbands the dukes. And there never will be because, even if there is a feud, no royal media minion would ever say so without fear of losing his or her head. Metaphorically, of course.
So why bother? Because the British find it entertaining to gossip about their royals, and the more outrageous the stories the better. TLC let Americans in on the fun.

Who says there’s a feud?
The media, of course. It is a truth universally acknowledged that the British tabloids, in possession of a new royal star they have drenched in fawning coverage, must eventually be in want of a royal “scandal” they can gleefully exploit to tear her down to size – and bulk up their readers, clicks and viewers at the same time.
And so it has come to pass since Meghan married Harry last May at Windsor Castle in a blaze of royal splendor and an avalanche of adulatory coverage of the American royal bride destined to rescue the royal family from its (alleged) stuffiness and irrelevance.
“The rift was an inevitable narrative because the idea of two duchesses having a cat fight was too irresistible for the press not to go near,” says royal reporter Katie Nicholl, who’s been covering “the rift” for Vanity Fair and the Mail on Sunday.

According to Hello Magazine in the U.K., Kensington Palace says many of the comments towards the Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are abusive. The magazine is taking a stand. Buzz60
What are they supposed to be feuding about?
In public, by their words and behavior at joint appearances, Meghan and Kate appear to be as friendly as any two strangers now married into the same family. After Harry and Meghan’s engagement announcement in November 2017, she said in an interview that Kate was “amazing” and “wonderful.” Kate told reporters she was “absolutely thrilled” about the engagement, and told well-wishers during a walkabout in November 2018 that Meghan’s pregnancy is “really, really special.”
“Harry and Meghan had an incredibly successful tour to the South Pacific (in October) and boom, they get back and suddenly Kate and Meghan hate each other? It was extraordinary how fast it happened,” says CNN’s royal commentator Victoria Arbiter, the daughter of a former press secretary to the queen.
Scores of anonymously-sourced stories have have landed, and not just in the tabloids, since late in 2018:
Meghan, 37, made Kate, 37, cry at a pre-wedding dress fitting for little Princess Charlotte: It has not been explained why or what she supposedly said.
“The future queen was in tears about what Meghan said to her,” declares broadcaster Carol Malone, although she allows that maybe Kate was a little post-partum emotional having just given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, in April.
Some of the reporters swear their sources tell them it’s true and that the queen had to “intervene” with Harry to get Meghan to behave better. Others dismiss it as no big deal.
“Meghan, if she did have a weak Bridezilla moment, she wouldn’t be the first bride to have experienced that,” shrugs Arbiter.
Harry and Meghan’s decision to move to Windsor away from Will and Kate at Kensington Palace is being interpreted as a sign that the two couples don’t get along. But Harry and Meghan need a bigger place than a two-bedroom flat now that they’re having their first child, and there is no reason why they have to live in Kensington Palace or even in London.
Harry and Meghan were not at Kate’s 37th birthday party in January at their Norfolk country retreat, Anmer Hall. A similar interpretation is being applied to this episode as a sign of friction. But where does it say they have to celebrate birthdays together?
Meghan was rude to Kate’s staff and Kate told her it was unacceptable. An “impeccable” royal source told The Sun that Kate told Meghan not to berate her team at Kensington Palace in a confrontation before the wedding. What did Meghan say and to whom? Not explained. However, the palace took the rare step of flatly denying this: A palace official told the tabloid, “This never happened.”
If the Kate vs Meghan storyline seems implausible, maybe you’ll go for the Harry vs William claim.
Under this scenario, reported by Nicholl in Vanity Fair, Harry was peeved at his brother for allegedly not being welcoming enough to Meghan at Sandringham for Christmas in 2017, when Meghan was invited by the queen to spend the holiday in a first-ever invitation to a royal bride whose wedding was still five months off.
“I was told the (rift) was actually between the brothers,” confides Nicholl.
What other stories about Meghan are swirling?
Meghan is supposedly demanding and difficult, a diva who is peremptory with the staff and bossy to Harry, and way too American in her approach to her new role.
Royal staffers moan to reporters that Meghan gets up early to do yoga and begins firing off emails at 5 a.m. The nerve.
“Meghan is ‘go-go-go-go, I’ve got to get it all done now.’ I think she needs to chill and slow down a little bit,” says royal biographer Ingrid Seward.
Even when Meghan does something that seems positive, some journalists find some reason to criticize her. When Harry and Meghan visited a Bristol charity last week that helps women escape from sex work, she scribbled inspirational messages – “You are loved” and “You are special,” plus little hearts – on bananas packed in lunches for the women.
“It’s a very American thing to do: tell people lies that don’t really work to sell books or a brand,” sniped Mail on Sunday columnist Liz Jones under a headline: “Oh, Meghan! Writing twee slogans for sex workers on bananas won’t change anything.”
Why would these two women be at odds?
Meghan and Kate allegedly don’t get along, aren’t best friends, and are very different people with very different upbringings, according to royal correspondents.
“Different upbringings” is code for: Kate is English, white, the daughter of a happy home of upper-class millionaires, private school-educated, and home-counties bred. Meghan is American, biracial, a former Hollywood actress (“Suits”), married and divorced before, the daughter of a dysfunctional family , and raised in sprawling Los Angeles.

“In the media they were pitted against each other: the one loud, outspoken, ambitious, American, and then the shy, retiring English rose,” says Nicholl. “I think it was very convenient for the media.”
Because it’s a dream storyline, says Eve Pollard, former editor of the Sunday Mirror and of Elle magazine in the U.K. “It’s a right royal knockabout – if you were an editor…what do you think will sell newspapers?”
Where’s the proof?
The “tension” has gotten so thick, the in-the-know claim, that Harry and Meghan, pregnant with her first child due in the spring, decided to move to a renovated mansion on the Windsor Castle grounds.
Also, the two have moved to split up their royal offices, as Harry is beginning to emerge from his brother’s shadow as a separate royal personality and the two couples’ philanthropic activities diverge to reflect their own interests.
“The idea that the Fab Four were going to be splitting up actually suggested that the Fab Four were not that fabulous,” says Nicholl.
But maybe a desire to find a new home for a growing family, plus a desire for greater privacy and security far from London, played more of a role in their announced move?
“Harry is obsessed with privacy,” says royal historian Kate Williams. “And he’s seen what happens to William’s children every time they go out in the park outside the palace – someone takes a (picture) snap at them.”
Surely this alleged rift is exaggerated?
“I think a lot of rumors about Kate and Meghan are manufactured to sell newspapers – it’s just too good a story,” says Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler and a go-to royal commentator .
Malone, a TV broadcaster with decades of experience working for tabloids, was huffy at the charge. “The media, contrary to popular belief, do not make up stories,” she says. “We can’t name some of the people saying derogatory things about Meghan because they would get fired.”

What is the effect of social media on the rift rumors?
In the short term, the media-driven rumors are having unpleasant consequences, including a surge of racist and sexist comments and threats on royal social media accounts, where fans of one duchess slag fans of the other with offensive abandon. Some of them are too vicious to publish, reported The Times of London.
“Palace aides have been spending hours each week moderating comments on the official palace Instagram account and removing racist and sexist content,” reported The Associated Press.
Hello!, a British celebrity magazine (which has covered the story as assiduously as any other publication), last week launched a “kindness campaign,”#HellotoKindness, to combat the online slime, including accusations that Meghan is “faking her pregnancy to get attention, trying too hard, walking strangely, touching her baby bump too often and being too slim.”
Why does any of this matter?
The program notes that the relationship between Meghan and Kate is crucial for the monarchy’s future as a viable, popular, respected institution. It won’t do for brothers and sisters-in-law to be at odds when they take on future royal responsibilities, especially the Cambridges as future Prince and Princess of Wales.
But Burrell predicts trouble for Meghan’s relationship with Kate, who will always outrank her as Princess of Wales and as a future queen.
“Kate will always be in front – this is going to be alien to Meghan, having to curtsy to her sister-in-law in public,” he says.
“She’s a strong, independent woman whose views will be difficult to change and that’s where she’s going to clash with members of the royal family and the royal household, if she doesn’t conform and do as she’s told.”
Well, maybe we should wait and see. In the meantime, welcome to the royal life, Meghan.

#Emmerdale #Robron Pyschic Spoilers for April-June 2017
And here is my first posts as I delve into the Robron phenomenon with my predictions for what will take place in Emmerdale. Again, this is for fun and meant to be entertaining. I am in NO why affiliated to ITV, Emmerdale, McCains, or any soap magazine. These opinions are mine and mine alone. Where available, I will include references to previous episodes to support my hypothosis.
Since SoapLife already beat me to the punch line for the first week of April, I’ve included the actual spoilers below...and an analysis of what I think may happen.
Soaplife (Week 14)
Wednesday April 5th
Robert and Rebecca are awkward around each other ahead of Aaron’s release.
Thursday April 6th
Aaron’s prison release sees him reveal just how hard life inside was…But will he find out the truth about Robert?
Friday April 7th
Rebecca and Victoria’s friendly chat leaves Robert unnerved.
--This reads to me that the Event That Shall Not Be Named is still a best kept secret only known to Robert, Rebecca, Chas, and Paddy. (See my previous psychic spoiler for the episode to air 20-Mar-2017).
--Rebecca is no longer seething about her involvement with the Event That Shall Not Be Named. She still feels hurt and betrayed by Robert, but because she made a connection with Liv in episodes which already aired, she sets this aside to be a “friend” to Robert. Although I don’t think they can translate it to screen just yet, she still loves Robert and has continued hopes for a relationship with him.
--Robert feels guilty for The Event That Shall Not Be Named and doesn’t want anyone to find out about it. He fears because of his guilt and continued attraction toward Rebecca, his dark secret might be revealed.
--Aaron doesn’t find out about the Event That Shall Not Be Named in week 14, but as with the psychic spoilers for episode to air 20-Mar-2017, he is suspicious because Chas & Robert have tension and are keeping something from him.
--Aaron opens up about the psychological and physical abuse he endured inside to Robert and Chas. The teaser implies past tense about Aaron being released which I hadn’t pegged to happen until week 15 or 16. I would think that since Aaron promised Chas & Robert on 20-Mar-2017 that he is no longer taking drugs, his confession will be from a hospital bed because Jason & co will have one last round of torture necessitating Aaron being released & hospitalized. Jason & co will be exacting revenge on Aaron because he refuses to be a mailman to pay for his previous habit.
--Aaron’s hospitalization and admission of torture will cement the resolve in Chas to keep Robert’s “Dirty Little Secret” for the sake of Aaron’s mental well-being
--Rebecca & VIc’s friendly chat is about Robert’s upcoming birthday. Because the Event That Shall Not Be Named has not been made common knowledge, it doesn’t matter which character approaches which, but my psychic abilities tell me it is Vic. I say this because the April 5 teaser regarding the lovebirds from Hades’ awkwardness, Rebecca doesn’t want to endanger any chance she might have to reunite with her man.
--Robert is unnerved because he wants Rebecca away from him and anyone else that could figure out about The Event That Shall Not Be Named. This is classic Robert behaviour which we witnessed with how he treated Aaron during the affair. Robert will say something similar to Rebecca that he had said to Aaron. Robert “I can’t have you near Chrissie” rings a bell.
--I original had Aaron being released during week 15 or 16, but changed course because of the wording from SoapLife.
So, that is the analysis & hypothesis for week 14...here is what I think will happen in the weeks there after, again this is purely conjecture and for fun. Some of this is based on previously seen story arcs while some is based on rumours seen on Twitter...
--Robert’s birthday will be a joint celebration which will coincide with the Mill being ready to be moved into.
--Aaron’s suspicious and doubts will continue to grow that Chas and Robert are keeping something from him. They will both continue to deny anything is wrong, using excuses about the Mill etc.
--Aaron will find out inadvertantly about The Event That Shall Not Be Named during Robert’s birthday on April 22. He will punch Robert in the middle of the village (outside the Woolpack or the Mill) with Rebecca present. He will tell him he hates him and that “We’re Done!”
--Instead of the three of our previously happy little family spending their first night in the Mill together, it will be Aaron alone sitting in the corner of his and Robert’s bedroom breaking down. End Credits/Music que on Aaron’s tear streaked face.
--Robert’s path toward self-destruction will not be complete, he will turn to Rebecca who will now have her chance for the Happily Ever After she has dream of with Robert.
--Aaron remembering how Spice helped dull the physical and emotional pain will turn to other elicit drugs (Heroine rings a bell...recent storyline about Harriet, Moira, Jai talking about Holly and the interview about a local support group). This will be a joint self-harm & drug abuse story. They’ve introduced the concept of self harm with the March 16 & 17 episodes with both Robert & Chas laying the groundwork as it relates to Aaron’s drug use.
--Aaron’s continued path of destruction with drug use will leave Liv feeling left to her own devices. She will attempt to persevere, but will struggle because Chas will have already left
--With Robert & Aaron being officially over, he will begin a relationship with Rebecca much to the other White’s objections. He will continue to secretly pine for his soulmate, Aaron. This leaves Rebecca feeling threatened but tries to put a brave face on...she doesn’t want the “I told you so’s” from her family.
--Robert will have sussed out about Aaron’s drug use. This will be his “IN” to help his one true love. He will abandon what he has with Rebecca to finally sort out Aaron. Robert & Aaron will be “locked in” the Mill, while Aaron goes through withdraws.
--As the withdraw story unfolds, the two will have the ever important heartfelt discussion where they are honest with each other about their individual trials & tribulations of Aaron’s incarceration. Robert will finally admit to Aaron everything he went through (his emotions, actions, etc) while Aaron was away from him.
--Robert & Aaron reunite, admitting that they need each other to keep themselves grounded. Individually and alone, neither is strong enough to fight their individual demons. See below for probable dialogue:
Robert & Aaron: “But, you know.” “I know.”
Aaron: “I can’t do this without you.”
Robert: “I told you...I wanted messed up with you, and I still mean it. I love you Aaron. You’re enough.”
Throughout this discussion with platitudes, we will see Aaron attempt to blame himself for “pushing Robert into Rebecca’s nether regions”
--Aaron will be seen admitting his drug use at the previously established local drug support group. This is the first step in Aaron getting the help he needs.
Please check back for other posts related to opinions, analysis, and assumptions on what will take place in the village.
I will be adding a post later today, which will be a character analysis of Robert (Who I still adore) which I hope will explain the progression I see for his & Rebecca being involved.

Analysis
In this essay I will try to analyse what I have acquired through ought the learning period of this course. How the modules I have learned would help establish what I am most interested within the industry. As well as what I should look for within the industry as I leave university to become part of a company.
I always loved traditional animation. I have been a fan of fine art as well as, illustration and hand drawn animation felt like a natural progression from the other two. Apart from the love for drawing art, I was curious to learn not only how to depict people or other fictional characters but to also see them interact with their surroundings and decide what mannerisms they would have to work with to express themselves. I have had the chance to grow up among, as well as make friends with people of various backgrounds, characters and characteristics, and while I never overly romanticized them I realized that they were a huge influence within my life and have helped me not only to build myself up better as a person but to also understand the various complicated relations we all have with the world and each other. I am incredibly grateful for such opportunities in changing ones perspective and have always wanted a good excuse to be able to depict that in my own work. Creating characters, building worlds similar yet different from the one we are in seemed like a great excuse to do so. Hence, drawing frame by frame animation no matter how arduous, always will seem an exciting ordeal to me. This also encouraged me to design characters, backgrounds as well as explore scriptwriting, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation.
There are various aspects required for visual storytelling. At times companies take inspiration from other work to build their scenes. Steven Universes background artist Elle Michalka borrowed from Cezanne, while in Atlantis: The Hidden City, the style relied on Mike Mignolas comic book Hellboy. Each of these works do a great job not only in creating storylines, but further supporting them with the typology of the scene.
This connects to another job title I would love to try. Over the years there has been a new trend in a new type of comics storytelling that are internet based and that is webtoons. I have loved reading webtoons created by various artists in different genres. The industry though very new in the western world is becoming more widely spread and allows easy access to interesting content, as well as more job opportunities for independent artist to publish their own webtoons online. So far the work I have seen has been amazing and if widely recognized gets a chance to be published in hard book copy which I dream of doing some day. Similarly, I have always wanted to try illustrating children’s books as I have loved folklore from various cultures. I especially have strong desire in aiding awareness to to the existence of my own countries folklore and have secured an agreement with an author in Azerbaijan in illustrating their fictional work. The story takes heavy inspiration from national folk creatures, myths, and old stories and I am excited for the research required for the work as well as the job itself.
This module taught me the process of searching for a job within the animation industry. Previously I was somewhat aware of what I would like to pursue in my future job, the module helped me with the process that I used to fear. Often it is important to have portfolio of work and easily accessible online presence which includes your logo. In the case of Rough Draft Studios that I would like to pursue, I would have to assemble a portfolio of work and send it to the recommended person, most studios aid by describing what they are looking for on their pages, and have specific job titles ready. It is important to see what the studio is known for, in this case a 2D artist would be in demand However, what was very important for me to learn is how crucial it is to connect to various people of talent online be it by Twitter, Vimeo or Instagram, as well as the importance of attending various events for further partnerships. I learned how crucial it is to further push myself as a confident future employee for the companies to want to hire me If I have the chance to attend interviews or visit such events. Which brought me to the next issue present.
As I feared to find out how employable I might be due to my talents I realized the possibility of it happening at all would have to be halved as I would require extra documentation and financial aid, to be employed in UK. Not being a common well fare country, I would need to acquire a Tier 2 visa. Main requirements for which would be a sponsor, a tuberculosis screening, a salary of 30,000 per a year, as well as availability of £945 in your bank account as proof that I could support myself. As a starting animator finding a job with a starting salary of 30,000 a year would be exceptionally hard. The main option would be London where the salaries are a bit higher, though the chances are still slim. Not to mention I would require to apply and be employed within the 3 months limit after I graduate. What I learned would be a great back up plan if I continue networking within LinkedIn and continue keeping in contact with potential employers online. This should still leave room for possibilities for future projects even if they are independent and done from home, as well as give opportunity for a better portfolio which in turn hopefully would catch a good companies attention outside my own country.
Lastly, this module discussed ethics within animation industry. Were I to be ever employed, it would be crucial to me to take into consideration the existing world and include people of various backgrounds in a respectable manner. I found the past cartoons have captured the societal views of what is normal and acceptable, and I found it would take negative impact on people involved. For instance, majority of my friends would find it disturbing that Disney created characters of Siamese cats heavily based of racist Chinese stereotypes. I feel as though the studios wanted and entertaining variety to the character cast however ended up doing so without appropriate research or respect for the people involved. This is to be avoided. Thankfully, diversity within current animation industry has been improving over the years. Latest examples would include “Craig of the Creak” that has a large cast of characters all from varying backgrounds, genders, sexualities and even physical build that allows any child watching the show to learn the importance of love and respect towards their family and peers no matter how different, as well as the chance to see themselves in the character and feel like a part of a bigger picture. Understandably, there are works that rely on being offensive for their humour, but that would also require the consideration for context, the scene involved, the current political and social climates, and the knowledge of how the targeted audience would react to the work. The studios as well as animators have a certain amount of responsibility to build a world for a child, a world that perpetuates healthy understanding of people’s differences, and their indisputable equality to each other. Another important lesson was on the relationship between the animators and studios involved. The most common occurring problems would involve animators breaking the non-disclosure agreement. This could greatly affect the production value of the project and especially negatively affect involved parties. A good most recent example would be the constant leeks of future episodes of Steven Universe. Which often results in lower viewer ship of the show. Similarly, I learnt of the same duty the studios hold towards the animators. The recent most famous case would be the scandal involving “Sausage Party” which was an R-rated 3D movie, that allegedly did not pay overwork hours, and did not credit half of the animating crew. During our module we were assured by one of the guest speakers from Joint Studios that that is not as common of an occurrence as we might think and we would be paid for the extra hours we put in. Still I understand that it would be important to demand for appropriate pay, and avoid overwork to ensure ones own physical and mental health does not suffer.
In conclusion, this course helped to re-establish what I would like to achieve in future and how I would go about it. I am happy to have found that I prefer traditional animation and illustrative work opposed to 3D animation. Though I do believe flexibility is key due to my position as an international worker. Additionally, I was very excited to understand the importance of branding and marketing yourself within the industry, be it through events or online, and how it is important not to fear standing out, as that might only help ensure your position. Finally, I now know the importance of ones own health as well as good ethical behaviour and this will hopefully aid me in acquiring the job I feel very passionate about.
