what made season 1 so stunningly good was that every scene could be explained with stuff that happened on screen.
Why did Vi know where to find Vander after Silco took him? well of course because of Ekko who was established in the first few minutes of the first episode to be the character to be on look out.
Why did Powder follow the others to the abandoned building? why because she wanted to feel useful, she wanted for her stuff to work and she wanted to help. She wanted to not be the Jinx. This was all established through character moments that were natural and normal human interactions.
Why did Mel invest in Jayce? Why because first of all her own mother sent her away so seeing Jayce's mother stand up for her son must've hit her. And we see her talking about having to find new investments. Of course she would. He sounds interesting enough. Why not try it? If it doesn't work banishment is still on the table.
Why did Viktor help Jayce? Because he didn't want to stand in Heimerdingers shadow as just an assistant anymore. He was sick and knew the problems of the undercity first hand, he wanted to help. Of course he would, if there was a chance hextech could do it.
Why did Marcus continue to help Silco even after Graysons death? Why, because of his daughter or course. He could be threatened, molded and used. He wanted to establish big things, and was hasty in his youth, and we see 1. Silco exploit that and 2. Marcus regret that.
Why did a shimmer induced Huck help Caitlyn out? Why because as early as the very first episode in Vanders first speaking scene he gets help from Vander and well why wouldn't he then show that help for Vi, knowing he can?
literally every scene makes sense, everything can be explained with stuff that we SEE in the show. There isn't anything "off screen" or just not there.
Now tell me
Why did Caitlyn suddenly switch sides again in season 2 act 2? Why and how did Mel know that her brother wasn't actually her brother? Why did she know how to solve the puzzle? Why is Viktor suddenly floating in the universe? Why does Ambessa just ignore her daughter being abscent outside of that one throw away line? Why do Maddie, Loris and Isha exist? Every chatacter existed for a reason that wasn't just Plot even if they sometimes were just for Plot in season 1. But Maddie, Loris and even ISHA for gods sake, really are just Plot. Isha not as much as Maddie and Loris and thank god for that but still, her character, while I still hope it isn't true, existed to die and further Jinx's pain.
it's just so ugh
Edit: A lot (and I mean a LOT) of people have told me how Kino did make sense and I agree with that now. Though I stand firm with my opinion that we should've gotten to know him before so we could have figured it out even easier with Mel, there were actually signs I didn't notice myself before. Thank's for that.
Plus I will not back down on the fact that Mel just knowing the solution to the puzzle "makes sense cause sHe WaS ShOwn TO Be gOoD WiTh PuZZLes" is stupid. Yes, I know she is smart and good with that. But that's like a whole different thing. It's such a leap I don't know how some of you don't see it.

Daryl Dixon Rewatch S1E06 - Coming Home
it's the first ep with an English title and the last of the season. overall, i wanna say i was actually surprised how much i did enjoy watching. the complete focus on Daryl without all the background noise/storylines/characters, the way he still means what he says, but he's actually using his words and lots of sass instead of the typical nodding and grunting. good job!
but i gotta confess that if i hadn't known beforehand that Carol was going to be a part of this show, i probably wouldn't have bothered 🤷♀️. the fact Carol's not only back on screen, but she is such a great part of the whole vibe of the show, was actually unexpected. this show is straight up showing us Carol is the driving force in Daryl's relentless journey to get back home.
whoever tries to convince you Daryl is conflicted about where he belongs and where he wants to be is lying to you (pointing at you, Z!!). he literally spends 6 whole episodes reminding everybody he's got a home, people who love him waiting, a promise to keep, and a need to get back asap.
it doesn't mean Daryl does not form connections while on that journey. because he does - the strongest with Laurent, obviously, however, none strong enough to hold him back from his ultimate goal, which is going home to keep his promise to CAROL!
anyways, let's get to the season 1 finale:
the super!walkers fighting scene in the arena is pretty epic: from Daryl's super cool kill with the French flag to that Daryl/Quinn team up! the cherry on top being Daryl throwing that walker head at Genet. Loved IT!
Quinn eventually does help Daryl escape, and later, unfortunately, almost kills Isa, who is once again totally helpless against any kind of threat (killer nun, my ass!). in a scene eerie similar to the one in Daryl's underwater premonition a couple of eps ago, Daryl prompts Laurent to kill walker!Quinn with a "God will forgive you."
Laurent says something that sounds like it will be the whole point of Caryl's French adventure. "Sometimes you have to do horrible things, and no matter how bad you feel, if there is no other choice, God will forgive you." this feels like the key to breaking out of the cycle Carol has been stuck to since she was banished by Rick. (i'll probably post my s2 spec and theories next week!)
next, we see Daryl watching lovebirds Sylvie and Emile saying goodbye, they have to separate (i see what you did there, Z!), and reassures Sylvie that Emile will be alright before she asks him if he's ever been in love. BOY, has he ever!! Daryl's non response is quite telling. he knows what it feels like to say goodbye to the one you love without knowing if you'll ever see them again. and he's not alright, he's all the way in a whole different continent, separated by the Atlantic ffs.
we get some new insight into Daryl's origins when he and Isa share stories about their fathers. Daryl believes that his grandpa never returning home from war ruined their family for future generations and worries the cycle might repeat itself. has Daryl been reading about generational trauma? sharing this with her will bite him in the ass, later!
Isa's confession of her lie about the drawing gets absolutely no reaction from Daryl because it had zero influence on what happened next. Daryl didn't stay cause he believed in a new Messiah, he stayed because the kid was about to get in trouble, when Codron attacked his home; he stayed because it was a way of finding help getting him closer to a radio or boat to actually get him home; he stayed so he could take the kid to a place where he would be safe, and Daryl could finally leave without feeling guilty.
the great Daryl and Isa exchange looks compilation is trying too hard to show us, yes, Daryl has made a connection to these people, and is fairly content at the Nest with Laurent and the most mundane activities like peeling potatoes. they are showing us Daryl could stay here, make this his new home. why not? HE MADE A PROMISE! no matter what he could never be happy here, this is not his HOME.
Losang gives him a way out, but also tries to convince him to stay. "Sometimes, when a person leaves home, he comes to find he belongs someplace else." and it's true, if Daryl didn't know where, with whom he belonged. and it's not with Laurent and Isa.
it's really embarrassing how Isa tries to manipulate and guilt trip Daryl into staying with them using Laurent and Daryl's history. it has been like 2 months tops, and they acting like Daryl himself gave birth to Laurent, and wants to abandon his kid. bitch please, he has kids he actually raised and a wife back home!!
Daryl resents his grandpa for abandoning the family to fight in someone else’s war, and that's exactly what he would be doing if he chose to stay in France. that's what Isa will never understand - he had a whole full life with people who looked up to him, relied on him, loved him, before he even met her and Laurent. he wasn't lost. the connection he found with the people there isn't new to him, he has Judith and RJ, he has Connie and Zeke. but most importantly, he has a HOME (Carol!!!).
there's this beautiful emotional moment of Daryl quietly saying goodbye to a sleeping Laurent, and it's clear this kid means a lot to him. however, not nearly enough to make him stay. he still chooses to LEAVE. so many people trying to convince him he belongs with them, and he is still 10000000% sure he has to go back. there truly is ZERO hesitation.
i lost count how many times Daryl actually tried to leave, but it was always the kid's safety that kept him around again and again. he is so close to getting on that boat, literally fiercely fighting walkers to get to the beach, to get closer to HOME, and the same happens AGAIN. biggest FML moment for Daryl. Laurent, who is surrounded by walkers, is calling his name! FUCK ME!
and finally, we get to the highlight of this finale, Carol's badass entry. the way she's so absolutely calm with a big dude pointing a gun at her, PLEASE. she knows he's fucked around and is about to find out. no one takes Daryl's belongings and gets away with it.
"if you're lying, i won't be back." and she rides off on Daryl's bike. ICONIC. LEGENDARY. EPIC.
21 days left until the premiere of THE BOOK OF CAROL!!!!!

I genuinely feel bad for Azula.
^Side note - Yes, I know standards for royalty are different than common everyday standards. Still, it's personally upsetting to me.^
I just finished ATLA for the first time (I'm late for the party, yeah, yeah I know), and I was honestly sad about what happened to Azula. She had so much damn pressure on herself to not mess up and to please her father. She was only 14. Fourteen. She was way too young to be experiencing everything she did. She always had to try to not disappoint her dad, and was taught driving fear into people is better than friendship.
I wouldn't say Azula is like, the best character ever to exist. But she's very well written. I really like her, she's complex and very interesting, and honestly I believe she lived in fear, but doesn't know how to handle it.
I believe that Ozai made her live in a way where she feared that she could be banished, or hurt like Zuko was. She didn't want to be a disappointment.
She says she doesn't have any problems, but in the Ember Island episode, quote "My own mother said I was a monster." For a second, she did seem genuinely sad about it.
But, then she pays it off as if she isn't hurt one bit.
Azula doesn't know how to express herself like normal people. She's a bit like Mai. Mai doesn't express feelings and doesn't really know how to. Azula doesn't know how to express feelings either. So, she hides it all under a mask of confidence and high dignity.
Before her coronation, she had lots of anxiety and didn't know how to handle it. So she was banishing people left and right out of her anxiety that she could be killed.
And when she lost against Zuko and Katara, that was her breaking point.
In the comics after the events of ATLA, it's shown she was put in an insane asylum.
Really if you think about it, everything that has happened to Azula and Zuko is because of Ozai. If he wasn't so strict or cared only about one thing, they wouldn't have ended up how they did. Sure, Zuko got something great but Azula has gone insane.
If people who know me irl read this, they would say it's because I have lots of empathy, so of course I feel bad for Azula. I guess, but also, Azula didn't deserve what happened to her. She deserves better.
Thanks for reading this. Have a great day/night.
And if you want to add something, don't be afraid too. Reblog or commenting something would help.

my azula/zuko role swap
I spent a lot of time thinking about *why* Azula would be banished. she's the typical golden child, the prodigy. so why would Ozai give that up? I read everyone's suggestions, had a good think and I think I've finally got it. Something we need to remember, is Azula isn't like Zuko. she isn't Zuko, so i highly doubt she'd be punished for speaking out of turn - because she probably wouldn't speak out of turn in the first place. I did see the idea of someone saying Azula *accidentally* murdered Ursa (or so she thought) and I really liked it. I wanted to be more original, so I did tweak the story - but credits go to @oscar-meir Everything up to the meeting with Fire Lord Azulon is the same. Azula believes her mother fears her, that she loves Zuko more, etc. However, this is where things change. You see, Azulon ordered Ozai to kill Zuko, and Ozai was going to do it. Azula overhears, and decides to interfere. Despite everything, Zuko is her brother, even if she resents him. She attempts to defend him, and steps between Ozai and Zuko (metaphorically, Zuko isn't present). A fight breaks out, and Azula is outmatched (obviously, she's like 7) but I feel like at that moment, she would've gotten blue fire. Ursa hears all of this, and comes to interfere. The next morning, half the palace is scorched, Azulon is dead, and Ursa is missing. This whole scenario is traumatic, and Azula mostly represses it. The official story is that she lost control of her power, and Azula has no reason to not believe it. She believes, deep down, she is a monster responsible for the death of her own mother. Ozai gets crowned, and the next few years are relatively similar to canon, with the exception of Zuko's agni kai. Ozai has seen Azula's power, so he pushes her into rigorous training. She's a prodigy, after all. Azula is mostly consumed by guilt - she's afraid of her power, deep down. She even begins seeing her mother. But she cannot lose her father's favour, so she continues to train hard. We can see her become mostly similar to canon - she's strong, powerful, intelligent, but that feeling that she's a monster keeps gnawing at her, keeping her from her full potential, and Ozai fears her, and wants to control her. He's desperate to fully weaponise Azula, so he tries his hardest to snuff out her weakness. He of course, fails. Azula is still mostly hesitant to achieve her full potential, which leaves Ozai frustrated. She begins to slip from her perfectionist personality, eventually becoming more of a scapegoat. In this scenario, lets say Ozai gives Azula a mission, and she fails. He declares she has lost her honour, and must fight an agni kai to regain it. Azula is afraid from the last clash with her father - she refuses to fight, and is punished. Ozai declares she is banished - she cannot return until she captures the avatar. It's the only way to regain her honour. He orders Iroh to accompany her, so he is out of the way. Iroh doesn't want to go with Azula, but he can't refuse an order from the firelord, so reluctantly goes. I don't see Iroh doing much to help Azula though. from what we know, he doesn't like her, and she never had much respect for him. Azula is desperate to regain her father's favour. This, however leaves Zuko alone with Ozai. considering Zuko is now Ozai's only option for an heir, he does his best to shape Zuko into a tool, similar to Azula in canon. Zuko is constantly reminded he is the future of the fire nation, the only option for firelord. this is constantly drilled into Zuko's head, allowing his negative traits to flourish. he could become angrier, crueler, as a result of the way he feels - a replacement for Azula, and his father's only option. I believe he'd try to control people with fear and violence, just like Azula in canon.

Merlin Fix It Episode, Season 1: Elyan
Summary:
Elyan's introduction
Plot:
In this AU, Arthur thinks Gwen is really pretty so he flirts with her far before Merlin came to Camelot. Gwen never accepts his advances and Arthur never push it to anything further.
He does it again in this episode but this time he's confronted by a guy named Elyan who we later found out as Gwen's older brother, but not before Arthur's ass got kicked by Elyan. Elyan hates his guts because Arthur is a bit of a prat and a misogynistic asshole who is probably just playing with Gwen's heart. (yes arthur personality is bad here like in season 2 and 3 but it will get better)
In an attempt to try to win Gwen, Arthur thinks it's a good idea to try to befriend Elyan. This obviously fails even with Merlin's advises and leads to a second fight. But this actually becomes the start of their friendship as they bond over Tom's (Elyan's father) cooking.
Arthur started visiting Elyan more and more often and they eventually became besties (Arthur says it was an excuse to see Gwen but he thinks Elyan is neat).
Elyan eventually told Arthur bits and pieces of his and his family backstory:
elyan told arthur that it's hard living with their skin color. People would often treat them differently. There was a time where gwen got set as a bet and she got heartbroken by a random guy named alvin or something (arthur's actions reminded elyan of this particular event, that's why he's so hostile towards him, because gwen is really sweet and its sad that there are so many assholes in the world)
They weren't originally from camelot. they would travel a lot before their father found a stable job there. even if the prejudice is still there, camelot provided them safety other kingdoms could not.
elyan is a traveler now, part because he wants to travel the world, part because he's trying to find his mother. their mother left when they were little, from bits and pieces of his memory, elyan is curious about what kind of person his mother is.
arthur especially relates to this, with his situation.
the next day, an old woman gave them the horn of cathbhadh (it is later revealed that this is morgause who has been listening into their therapy session)
elyan and arthur decided to use this horn to summon their mother's souls. Elyan and arthur agree to make this summoning a secret from gwen, he's afraid that their mother will be a bad person. Arthur gave Elyan a chance to go first (because it's still theorized that his mother is dead, he didn't actually know where she is). But lo and behold, elyan mother appeared and starts cursing elyan for his existence.
elyan immediately left while looking back and the horn broke, arthur is unable to summon his mother. Unfortunately this also means that Elyan's mother is summoned to the living realm and from here we got more information about her past:
**gwen and him didn't have the best mother. she was a sorceress who married tom out of desperation. she married him and conceive children so she wouldn't be burn at the stake. she would fend them off from any threat, but she often abuses the family. elyan doesn't remember any of this.
merlin along with gwen, morgana, and gaius helped them to send her back to the afterlife. but uther got caught of this chaos and blame elyan for it, banishing him from camelot.
arthur is extremely upset about this but elyan laughs it off, happy he finally met his mum and find a new friend. he says he's enjoys travelling more and plans to do that anyways. elyan bid his goodbye and ride off to the sunset.
Afternote:
if they hate magic, i'm pretty sure they also hate people of color.
this is my version of their backstory for now, there might be changes in the future. it's not perfect. It might be even a bit OOC because this changes gwen's and elyan's values. let me know what you think!!
oh and yes gwen and arthur have little crushes on each other, but merthur and morgwen are still endgame.

It's fun to have characters that have powers but still have actual combat skills. There is something appealing about characters being able to fight in several different ways depending on the situation at hand. I think ATLA showed this the best with Zuko, someone skilled with both firebending and swords. Whenever he is the Blue Spirit, he is always being stealthy. Firebending would be more obvious and easier to spot. It would also reveal him as a firebender which wouldn't be advantageous during those situations (oh my, a firebender obsessed with the Avatar, wonder who that could be?). But what's even cooler is that he, without using any bending at all, was able to make his way into a heavily secured base full of firebenders, free Aang, and break out and get very close to doing all of this on his own (he gets a little help from Aang at the end).
Often times the superpowered people in fiction assume that because of their powers they needn't worry about any non-powered people. But that repeatedly is proven wrong in all sorts of content. Zuko easily handled several firebenders without bending. Clint was the only Avenger unaffected by Wanda (which wasn't a full out fight but he used combative skills and his weapon to defeat Wanda). May defeated the telekinetic by leading him to a place where his powers were useless. Ty Lee repeatedly defeated benders with ease. Steve defeated Tony (okay, Steve is enhanced but only to become a super soldier, no supernatural powers. And Tony isn't powered, he wears a suit but we're gonna allow it because it fits the example). Oliver easily shot Barry during that early training sequence. I only listed examples from a handful of fandoms, but I'm sure this happens a lot in things I haven't watched. Non-powered people repeatedly are able to defeat the superpowered characters, even characters that are very powerful.
But you don't have that with characters that are powered and know how to fight. Somehow manage to neutralize Daisy's powers? Doesn't make her helpless by any means. Want to fight Loki? Good luck holding off both his physical and magical attacks. Thor's banished and turned mortal? Still gonna rip through a few STRIKE teams like it's nothing. Get into a fight with a Jedi? Too bad, they've got lightsabers and the Force.
I think it's fun to see these characters that don't rely solely on their powers. They can frick you up in multiple ways depending on what's going to be better in the situation. They recognize the strength of non-powered people and know how to fight the ones that could handle a powered person that can barely throw a punch.

The Trouble with Wolves: Aftermath Mentions of @emissaradia, @studentalthea @freydis-freydat @zelihatheflight @steadythora
There really isn't a moment to herself after all is said and done, no time for all of the things she is feeling. Not until it's the end of the day and she's back in her quarters and taking her crown off of her head with shaking hands.
Althea sitting there in the middle of the room in chains, her hair untamed around her, what sounded like hundreds of voices echoing around the chamber. When she closes her eyes, even briefly, Aurea sees it, feels the fear and desperation that she and Aradia had shared. There had been no time for helplessness then, but it's there now as she sees herself in her vanity mirror. Not a queen, but a girl who had almost lost so many people important to her in a fell swoop. They were strong, the lot of them, but in that moment as they all scrambled to discern voices, there'd been one in her head feeling helpless, begging her to help them. She was their queen, why couldn't she help them? A single tear falls from her eye and she sniffles and shakes her head at herself. "It's not real." She said with confidence to the crying girl. "It's not true." Just as she'd told Althea, as she'd told all of them. That was the point of it all, that doubt would freeze them in place and get one of them killed. Taking a breath she looks down at her hands and despite the weariness and fatigue she feels right down to her bones, there's something else. To let loose a howl after everything was said and done, energized with the light of the moon. She closes her eyes and instead of seeing Althea in pain and the desperation on the face of her friends, she pictures the pool. A large round pool in the middle of the room that the moon shining from above illuminated, filling it completely. Stepping into it had been like slipping into the moon itself. It'd swallowed her up, regalia and all, and there's this twitching at her fingers that she only ever feels when she shifts. Opening her eyes and looking down, claws are extended where perpetually unmanicured nails once were. Control over your shifts. That's what she'd been promised. Flexing her fingers, the claws don't go away but she feels she can will them back. They're a reminder that the whole encounter had been real, that she's stronger now, they all were. And it would be easy to crumple and think about being banished as Thora and Aradia and Althea fought to jump into that pool and take the Blight into themselves. It is something she wants to do, the frustration is still there under her skin. The idea of losing anyone on a quest, especially those that had volunteered of their own free will with no ties to Haven, it terrified her. Freydis, Thora, and Zeliha had no reason to put themselves on the line and yet they had. Althea and Aradia had stood valiantly at her side as they always did and when it had come down to it, they'd protected her. She had to protect them now. Aurea had to make sure that those that had come to Haven seeking refuge wouldn't lose another home. Going to Aventia was what she wanted to do, what she felt she should, but she would remain to strengthen her borders, train up her wolves. This new control, she'd use it to defend home and everyone she loved. So all that went off to aid Aventia had something to come home to. So they knew that such a place wasn't just Haven or the Wildlands. That they had a home in the heart of their queen and alpha. Closing her eyes again, Aurea pictures the women around her joining in on her howl.

DBD knight and his squad vs. the original 4 FH knights who wins? (My money is on the FH gang because they actually take care of their gear and they have BOMBS)
I think that kind of depends on when and how the fight goes down tbh
I put way too much thought about this here so for the sake of people who don't care I'm gonna put it under a readmore.
Because like, in DBD, the cosmetics for Knight show that under the influence of The Entity, he can essentially fight forever, with his Draugr skin showing that despite being basically being a walking corpse he can still operate with his full mental faculties and power.
Plus, his Squad that he can summon at will is shown to be spectral, capable of phasing through walls and shit at will, but also becoming physical to interact with shit
However, as implied by the item description for the Enchanted Plates cosmetic, this is only in The Entity's realm. Yes, he is suffused with eldritch power, yes he can fight beyond death, and yes, he can resummon his squad if they are Banished but only in The Entity's Realm, it doesn't have the level of power it does outside of it, and most likely wouldn't be able to imbue Tarhos with the power it does.
However despite this, Tarhos Kovács is still a massive hulking man in heavy armor with a huge sword and considerable battle skills.
Now here's the thing though
For Honor's minions are implied to be like, normal average people. As a result of this every For Honor character, therefore, is fucking huge. Plus like, all of them are really good at fighting In Lore:tm:
So without the help of an eldritch god of suffering, it turns into a 4v4 that's pretty heavily in favor of the For Honor knights, by virtue of them just being bigger, stronger, more heavily armored than 3/4ths of their opposition and just flat-out better equipped than the whole group
However in the entity's realm, with the help of an eldritch god of suffering supporting the shit out of one side of the fight, especially letting Knight resummon his boys, that definitely fucks with the balancing somewhat
But here's the thing
See, For Honor had a crossover event with dbd once upon a time, (I've still got a couple of the cosmetics from it tbh, it was really fun iirc), which, if we take as Part of the Lore, we get to see how the entity operates in the context of a trial where both sides are armed and capable of fighting.
During the crossover, the Trapper was still mortal. He was big, similar in height to Lawbringer and Jiang Jun, and certainly had a lot of health and damage, but he could still be killed. However, the fight between the two teams of players would continue, both teams would keep dying, respawning, and fighting, and eventually The Trapper would return.
Because the entity, deep down, doesn't really care if either side definitely wins. Obviously she prefers if the Killers do, but despite her power she still makes victory and escape possible, because she feeds off that hope. In truth, the entity wants both sides to suffer. She offers extra favors and power to those who kill in her name, but their suffering and anger feeds her just as much as their sacrifices do.
So, while Tarhos and his boys would be much more powerful in The Entity's Realm, the entity would do as it always does, keep them suffering. Keep them killing. Keep them feeding her.
So I think, in a fight between The Knight and his Squad and the original 4 For Honor Knights, in the world of For Honor, the FH knights would come out on top relatively easily
In The Entity's Realm, though, I don't think it'd matter, really. Tarhos would be much stronger, yes, but the nature of the place they're in and the powers involved means that no matter who wins it'd still be a stalemate. They'd just keep fighting, keep killing each other, on and on, forever.
At least that's how I assume it'd go down lol, it's been a good while since that event

For theme!
Prim, proper, well mannered that is all the things a future queen needs to be for the grimmlands…something gem absolutely appalls she’s not fit to rule a country heck half the time she just wants to stay in bed for a whole day reading manga or watching cartoons! But nooooo the Royal advisors aka the biggest pricks she’s known since childhood continue to try and turn her into the one thing she isn’t until one day it just breaks her. Now that wouldn’t be an issue normally but when your a wither hybrid who’s mainly ability is to cause death and decay around you at every corner by spreading wither rose bushes and vines you end up having the very messy situation of now there are a lot of injured people around her because said pricks pushed her over the edge.
She ran for weeks and weeks until she collapsed into the hermitcraft server where she was found by Pearl and Tango who took her to Pearls shack where gem woke up to being covered by Tilly and her many many puppies almost not going into panic attack until Tango calmed her down and asked for her name. And after some explaining to Xisuma why there’s a wither hybrid currently sleeping again Pearl’s dire wolf Tilly he made her a hermit because he’s dealt with idiots like that in the past and he knows they aren’t gonna let Gem go that easily so he asked Grian and False to get in contact with Joel and Scott to let them know if somebody from the grimmlands try and come to hermitcraft
For the past few months Gem felt…safe which was a weird feeling since she never really had a proper chance to relax to begin with back home since one slip up meant she could kill a city’s worth of people with her roses but no! Turns out those royal advisors lord to her about the lethality of her roses! She felt so angry and tired and scared that she just wanted to curl into a ball and be left alone forever. Luckily Pearl sat down with her and told her whole Scarlet Pearl fiasco and how she got over it. Granted it involved a lot of murder but still! And Tango told her how he got over feeling betrayed by his family from banishing him from the nether.
Gem felt comforted in a way knowing she wasn’t the only one who was hurt in the past eventually she learned she wasn’t even the most dangerous person on the server. What in hell do you mean Cleo petrified an entire kingdom with a single state?! Wait Grian can do what with his wings?! Safe to say a lot of her fears were gone well…until the Royal advisors came to try and “catch the monster”…well unfortunately for them they now had a very angry Xisuma to deal with.
(Ps love the blog!)
She does feel for her kingdom and her people, but she could never be the queen they wanted of her. Adventure is in her heart, and without the opportunity for that, she escapes through stories instead. She doesn't understand how anyone is supposed to always put on a strong façade. Day in, day out... If she thought too much about it she'd cry.
So, was it any surprise when she finally shattered under the stress and pressure of her role? The cracks had been appearing for a while. The hermits are always happy to remind her of this as well. She was always told to suppress her abilities instead of how to control and manage them, and that's not her fault.
Gem doesn't even hear about the hunt for her until it's already over. She's a little upset - she would've liked to give them a piece of her mind - but she knows Xisuma's right. It wouldn't help, it wouldn't give her the closure she's looking for. All it would do is make her angry. Prove the advisors right.
Pearl and Cleo spend the day with her once she's told, Tilly keeping them company. They braid flowers into each other's hair and they let Gem talk about her favourite books. It's not easy, but the twisted black vines are slowly crawling back down the walls, and Gem breathes a little lighter.

Hi so I’m requesting Steddie (Steve and Eddie from stranger things) I just idk I have this idea where Steve and Eddie like hangout a lot after Eddie leaving the hospital and his name was cleaned and Ms Wheeler invites everyone for a dinner party and Holly started talking to Eddie and he read her a book and play with her and so they were like besties and later in the day Mike asked him to do a campaign for Will and then Nancy wanted to talk to him about the bi crisis she was going through and they are besties and then Ms Wheeler asked Eddie to help her in the kitchen and so Steve was jealous and then idk Ted Wheeler actually being nice and talking about the weather with Eddie and Dustin and everyone thinking Steve was jealous because everyone loves Eddie but actually he was jealous the Wheelers were taking Eddie from him something like that hahah btw love your writing a lot x
Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying my stuff so far! 💕
Warnings: none
**
"Eddie the banished" very soon turned into "Eddie the beloved", as it seemed.
He pretty much became everyone's favorite at the house party the Wheelers threw: Steve now started to wonder if they actually only organized that event to celebrate Eddie, and all the other guests were just there as decoration.
Not that Steve minded. Eddie deserved all the love he was getting after being hated and hunted by the whole town for a crime he didn't commit, and after the insane amount of trauma he went through. He saw people being killed, he suddenly met an armada of terrifying monsters, then nearly got killed by some of them. He was fresh out of the hospital, still healing from his injuries, and Steve actually really liked seeing him getting better and better.
After the doctors released him from the hospital, Steve has taken it upon himself to be there for Eddie as much as possible. They spent quite a lot of time together, and Steve had to realize that he has grown quite attached to the guy he used to think of as a freak.
Actually, Eddie was sweet. He was quirky and strange, but he had a very kind heart, and he was one of the bravest people Steve has ever met. He was very good-looking too, Steve had to admit.
So, no, Steve didn't mind Eddie getting attention. He just wanted to be the only one giving it to him.
He always lingered behind, watching as Eddie played with Holly. He couldn't help but smile softly as the little girl climbed into Eddie's lap, demanding a story. How could anyone believe this boy was dangerous? He might have been a metalhead, with long, unruly hair and in ripped denim and faded leather, but if you spent more than one minute with him, you immediately realized just how sweet he actually was.
Warmth spread through Steve's chest as he watched Eddie reading from a children's book, doing exaggerated faces and sounds to entertain Holly. His cheeks were still pale and scarred from the battle with the demobats, but his eyes shone like a million stars. Steve's heart fluttered when Eddie looked up and their eyes met for a second. Eddie gave him a small wave, and Steve waved back awkwardly, his cheeks pinkening.
He really wished he had the courage to go and talk to Eddie. Once Holly went off to play with someone else, Mike took her place and started nagging Eddie about some DnD campaign for Will, a conversation from which Steve didn't understand a single word. He scoffed and moved away, hoping that if Mike was finished, he would get a chance to be with Eddie.
No such luck. Nancy swooped in and took Eddie to the side. They were clearly talking about something deep and personal, because Nancy was blushing and Eddie seemed to be comforting her. Now, Steve knew Nancy wouldn't go for Eddie (especially because it seemed like she was more interested in Robin lately), but the spikes of jealousy wouldn't leave Steve's heart as he watched them embrace.
The Wheeler parents stole Eddie next. Even Ted was more talkative than usual, actually making an effort to make a conversation, while Mrs. Wheeler entrusted Eddie with helping out in the kitchen. Steve watched this all happen with increasing frustration.
Obviously Dustin, as observant as he was, noticed that Steve was fuming.
"You're not jealous he's getting all the attention, are you?" He questioned Steve, eyebrows raised. "That's not like you."
"No, not at all," Steve replied quickly, "he deserves all the attention after what he's been through."
"But something is bothering you," Robin added, "I can tell. You've been eyeing him all night."
"Am I that obvious?" Steve chuckled, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. "No, it's just, uhm... we've grown closer after he got out of the hospital, and I... I guess I just kinda miss being the only one there for him."
"Oh, you like him," Nancy said softly, "so you're jealous of everyone."
"You guys kept stealing him away the whole night," Steve huffed. Dustin laughed, shaking his head at him.
"God, Steve. Just go and steal him back, then!"
"Steal who back?"
They all turned around to see Eddie standing in the doorway with a curious look on his face. Steve honestly thought his heart and head would both explode when Eddie gave him a small smile.
"You," Dustin said easily. Steve groaned and slapped his arm, making the younger boy let out a loud "ow" sound.
"Oh, well," Eddie chuckled, "I might have been basking in the attention, I admit."
He looked at Eddie, his smile widening. "But I'm more than happy to indulge you, too."
Good Lord, Steve thought. He thought he was going to die from not being able to be close to Eddie the whole night, but he might actually be dying now that Eddie sat next to him on the couch. Nancy and Robin fled the room to give them some privacy, dragging Dustin with them.
"So..." Eddie started after some quiet, "why are you so jealous of everyone?"
"Erm..."
That was all Steve was able to say. Eddie's eyes were so beautiful, and he looked so genuine, and kind, and his knee brushed Steve's.
Deciding he needed way more alcohol in his system to be able to tell Eddie why, he reached for his glass.
He felt Eddie's curious eyes on him while he drank the liquid courage.

Not necessarily a prompt from the list but I was wondering if you had anything for Fourteen and House?
Anon, I have been waiting for this day for weeks now!
Technically, I don't have anything, but by gosh, I'm still gonna write some nonsense with these two!
Don't question on House still exists, it's Doctor Who. If the Daleks can keep finding ways to return from the dead, then so can this guy.
Going with they/them pronouns for Fourteen because I like the idea of them not really being sure if they're ready to return to he/him but not ready to keep going by she/her.
On with the fic!
--
The Doctor gently kicked at a rock with their new, yet-old-looking, trainers. They could sense it, life on this small, planet-like object that was floating in the outreaches of this particular area of space.
They pulled out their sonic, still feeling a giddy buzz in their head at the fact that they still had their previous incarnation's handmade one. They really hoped they wouldn't lose this one, that tended to happen often when changing into a new body.
Well. This one was kinda old. Not that it's a bad thing! Still weird, still trying to figure out why this face, with some slight aging. Damn, they aged well, like a fine wine. The Doctor wondered if this would happen again, what face would they return to, would that one age well as well?
The sonic gave them some readings and they blinked, eyes wide. "No. That's impossible! Idris destroyed him!"
"I believe that it was a human who once pinned," came a voice that the Doctor had not heard in ages, green glows coming from within cracks and holes on the planet's surface, "the circumstances of my death were greatly exaggerated. Or something similar, I am not too familiar with your collection of human literature as I had been centuries ago."
The Doctor frowned as they pocketed their sonic. "Hello, House."
"Hello, Doctor. It's been a long time. You look good, I'm surprised that you remember me, considering you removed my from your memories while wearing that exact face."
"I regenerated." The Doctor sniffed. "Specifically into the man who helped to banish you into the time stream."
"Which is how you eventually met me again, just with the face I like best from you." House replied, amused. "Time is such a tricky thing, even for us ancient beings."
"Yeah, well, I'm not too thrilled to see you again, after everything."
"You mean my attempts to murder you and your little friends? Or for-"
"All of it." The Doctor replied, holding up a hand. "I see you found a new body, not as big or as cluttered as your old one."
House sighed, the lights flickering. "Yes, but it will do. It resides far out in the universe, as you can tell, were ancient energies can be eaten as they drift further and further from their original starting point. However, it is like a whale trying to eat plankton, I need a lot to consume rather than just devouring a TARDIS and being sated for ages."
The TARDIS made a warning noise from where she sat a few yards off. "As if I want to attempt consuming you again, you old hag." House snipped and the Doctor stomped their foot.
"Don't insult my TARDIS."
"She started it."
"Don't care who started it, I'll finish it." The Doctor clucked their tongue and stomped again. "Look, I'm just out here trying to find answers, and I thought there was a signal. Turns out you're up to your old tricks again."
"Sometimes I get people to come here, it's not easy or as fruitful as gullible Time Lords, but I can get some food from the different fuels and energies out in this area of the universe."
"Right." The Doctor shoved their hands into their pockets. "I should get going, I'm still trying to find answers."
"To what, Doctor?"
"To... something important, that isn't for you to know."
House was quiet, the lights dimmed once more. "I missed you."
The Doctor bit their tongue before giving some thought to their words. "I haven't thought about you in ages."
"He would miss me, the old you."
"He doesn't remember you."
"It's probably for the best that he doesn't." House sighed again. "Still, I'm glad to see that beautiful face once more."
The Doctor took a step back, shaking their head. "It can never happen again, House. You know this."
"I know. Goodbye, Doctor. Don't be a stranger."
"I... right. Goodbye, House." The Doctor turned and quickly went to the TARDIS, snapping their fingers to open the doors and then stepped inside, never once looking back at any of the glowing rocks.
She dematerialized for them so they didn't have to.
--
I still haven't decided what House did to make Ten remove him from the TARDIS then banish him from his memories, but it was BAD.
Also, green text! Cause his words are green in my head.

I always kind of thought Arcanine died before Palina ran for Clan leader, because she was traumatized enough that she didn't really want to be one anymore. I don't really have anything to back that up, that's just the assumption I've been running on thus far. Crippling ptsd, career-ending injuries, and (if they're incredibly lucky) old age retirement are really the only ways short of death that I've been imagining people leave their warden duties, but that'd make sense if the other wardens could kick out a member if they fucked up badly enough. Maybe Palina considered herself to have violated her duties by failing to keep her noble alive and was trying to kick herself out, but because none of the other wardens faulted her for it she wasn't removed from her position and was ineligible to be Clan leader.
Oh man, imagine how that'd play into both their insecurities, if Irida won by default because everyone else who was marked dropped out, and Adaman won because he was elected by the clan after no one was marked by Sinnoh? Even worse if Irida didn't even take the test, like if she was so young that they were going to have her go last, but everyone else before her failed so the clan decided that was a good enough answer and she didn't really need to go through with it.
What I'm wondering is what were the circumstances where they could not only meet, but continue having their clandestine affair without someone being like, hey why are you leaving all the time? And did anyone know Irida's dad had cheated on her mom before he left or did they just think he got cold feet at the idea of having a baby and ran away to become a merchant instead? Because traveling with a toddler/infant or while pregnant would be really dangerous, so why do so voluntarily? Unless they were caught together and ended up being banished with nowhere to go but the Guild. In an au where they're twins, I like to think that Volo just got lucky and looks a bit older than he is, mostly because him being like 18ish would make some of his decisions make more sense. Like, of course his plans look slapdash and poorly thought out, he'd have started making them when he was what, 16? I'm not exactly expecting fantastic, applicable doomsday plots from a kid lol.
Does knocking it out get rid of the frenzy though? It'd certainly make them easier to move elsewhere, but if becoming unconscious broke them out of it, wouldn't it just be easier to wait until they go to sleep? I know that in game the wild alphas can go to sleep, although it's really rare, so it's at least possible for them to do so. Unless they need be fully unconscious for it to break and when they sleep it's very shallow and they never hit REM. Maybe the reason they moved (or lured?) it up to Snowpoint is because becoming frenzied gave it a huge power boost. I highly doubt Sabi trained it to be level 70, but regardless, I don't think the others would have had the firepower to knock it out, other than Ingo. Who I'm sure would help if asked, but they might not have had a whole lot of time to come to a decision about it and I guess at that point it's either potentially damaging part of the Temple or letting Sabi's partner go running off into the wilderness to do who knows what. That'd still leave why they didn't ask him to KO it after it was trapped in there, but maybe that was right around the time Kleavor became frenzied and by that point they had bigger fish to fry, and in the meantime Sabi started training up an electibuzz that could ride around with her for protection during the few months it takes the protag to get up there.
i feel like if arcanine died before palina was tested for leader, she wouldn't have been considered at all. since from the way she talks about it, it seems like most of the clan considers her an unworthy warden because of that failure? so surely they wouldn't have wanted her as leader, either? so it's either after or during, and of the two during makes the most sense. by the same token, if she were trying to quit being a warden because of the failure, i think the last thing on her mind would be aiming for leader. i do think that the only way you get out of being a warden is via consensus from the rest, though, and even then it's very, very rare. 95% of the time, wardens "quit" by dying. the rest of the time, there has to be a strong majority agreement that the person in question is unfit for duty for some reason, due to injury/trauma or because they've violated their holy duty and can no longer be trusted.
YEAH. though idk what, exactly, the "test" was or how many others attempted it... i feel like snowpoint might be the last in a long series of them, since from the way irida talks about it it seems like "vying for leader" is a thing that took her and palina a long time. but anyway yessss re: both of them having parallel/comparative Weird Feelings about how they acquired the role of leader. irida sort of feels like sinnoh's last choice, under pressure to be as good as possible because there is nobody else, whereas adaman doesn't even get the reassurance of being chosen by anything other than his clanmates.
see, i'm wondering if his parents weren't both wardens. because i feel like that's the most likely way for two opposing clan members to meet, form a close bond, and have the chance to have a child without their clans really knowing about it. they could have even been the highlands wardens, a region where they'd have plenty of places to secret themselves away and they could have known cogita before leaving, as an extra bonus. which also makes irida and ingo's relationship WAY weirder. and now i'm kind of digging the idea of volo's mother leaving with him to go join the guild and it taking a few more years to convince him to leave too—which would also mask the "running away together" thing and give them a little plausible deniability. i wonder if volo, at least, knows they're half-siblings? and yeah no lol, volo's uh, Everything About Him, makes way more sense if you assume he's early twenties at the latest and has had this arceus-giratina-apocalypse obsession since his teens. dude is not hmm, Rational about this.
i think if knocking it out gets rid of the frenzy, it's less about unconsciousness and more about wearing it down into submission. i think fainting in battle is a lot different than going to sleep normally, after all, with being caught more akin to the first than the second. + yeah re: frenzy giving a power boost, alphas do tend to be much higher-level than their non-alpha counterparts, after all. i do love though that we have to work around "why didn't they just make ingo take care of it" bc yeah he Absolutely could and it wouldn't even be difficult. in the anthro au it could be explained by them really not wanting to make him go all the way up to snowpoint, but in canon there's not so much of an easy out.

Wasn't sure if you're still taking the other asks and it looked like you did a lot I missed (sorry!).
Does Mimble have family? Who are they if so? If not why? Who is important to him? Does he have many friends? Who does he spend his time with? Or does he prefer to be alone?
I'm massively behind with Asks as usual, especially the Gpose ones, as I'm not very good at it, but hopefully people don't mind me taking a bit longer. I like getting asks and I'm always happy to get more, even if it's a slow process! At some point I might even attempt some "proper" writing about Mimble and his difficult relationship with his family...
Mimble does have a family, most of whom are alive and well and involved in various nefarious plots and schemes of which he strongly disapproves.
Following the death of his grandmother, to whom he was close, his mother became Matriarch of the family and began channeling her considerable influence and resources towards uncovering the lost secrets of Amdapor. Her ultimate plan is to use this knowledge to seize power in the Black Shroud and beyond, creating an idealised society where everyone knows their place and lives in accordance with her very rigid moral views - if they want to continue to live at all.
Needless to say, Mimble disagrees with his mother's schemes and has actively played a part in frustrating her plans on occasion, which hasn't done much for their relationship.
He set out on the path of adventuring, and eventually became the Warrior of Light, after being banished by his family for disagreeing with their ambitions. His Grandmother taught him that people can be encouraged to be good, but not compelled - and that the role of a White Mage was to lead by example, not drive change by force.
When she gave Mimble her Amdapori diamond ring, shortly before she died, this was seen as a tacit endorsement of his position, since, by rights it should have passed to his mother, as an heirloom of the family. Shortly afterwards this became the catalyst for his banishment, following a particularly unpleasant argument with his furious mother.
Mimble is close to the Scions, especially Tataru and Krile, and likes to keep in touch with various people he has met in his adventures. He often pops up unexpectedly in The Crystarium or Kugane for example, to catch up on gossip and check in on his friends.
However, he doesn't have a partner, possibly through disinclination towards such matters, or possibly because he sees himself as too different to other people to be suited to such things. There is also the possibility that one day his luck will run out and he won't come back from an adventure, so perhaps he doesn't want to have that on his conscience.
This is the kind of topic about which Mimble is quite guarded, as to talk about such personal things makes him uncomfortable - although he will easily disguise the fact with inconsequential chatter.
The truth is that what Mimble wants more than anything else is to belong. He is estranged from his family and his supposed homeland was flooded and destroyed centuries before he was born. Whilst he is proud to be seen as the Warrior of Light and to travel around offering assistance to others, he also feels slightly rootless, with little sense of place or connection. He has a few houses or apartments which he has either purchased or been gifted, but none have the sense of truly being "home".
He has friends in the Scions and others, but his role and status have historically set him apart and he still feels slightly on the periphery of other people's lives - as if he were looking in from the outside at them with their lovers and families and children.
He would find it hard to articulate this feeling, even if he ever wanted to express it (which he wouldn't), but underneath his cheery optimism there is the occasional twinge of loneliness and detachment. However, he tends to be very good at obscuring this and focusing his energies on helping others achieve such a sense of belonging, regardless (or perhaps because) of how much it eludes him personally.

that's a good question! maybe randall doesn't have a plan yet; johnny found him immediately after he got banished so he basically went from working for waternoose to working for johnny in mere minutes, so i feel like he'll first be stunned that he's actually free. sure he's a wanted man, but for once, he isn't working for anyone. he can do whatever he wants, unbound to any rules or bosses
randall was able to break himself out of jail, but he's certainly not selfless and i don't think he'd risk his freedom to go back for johnny or waternoose. maybe he'll find a new ally, either some new character or a tWiSt VilLiAn, but i really just want the writers to make him have to work for himself by himself. if anyone maybe randall would manipulate and recruit joy and it'll be revealed that she couldn't turn down the offer. she's a talented scarer and has the same competitive spirit, and probably prefers scream over laughter. and maybe randall offers that if she helps him get back at sulley, he'll help her get back at tylor. and they're both reptile-like monsters so maybe randall was an inspiration to her when he was a scarer. but it's just an idea i had and i honestly don't think they'd do that, nor do i want them too, i want to see randall try to achieve his goal by himself
part of me wasn't even sure what they would do with tylor and val in season 3 because their story seemed complete at the end of season 2. but if that means the show will shift more attention to mike, sulley and randall i am all for it. we'll probably still see a lot of the story from tylor and mift's perspective though
randall's invisibility powers are op as hell so even though the whole city is looking out for him, it'll be difficult for him to be caught. something i thought of is with randall having utilized doors to get back and forth from mi to fear co in season 2, and with johnny knowing where randall was when he saved him and somehow having an exact copy of that door (me utilizing that plot hole into this plot haha) maybe randall will some aquired knowlege on door tech to travel back and forth from the monster and human world.
i feel like randall actually never actually getting out and exploring human world was quite diappointing because all the ideas people thought of with how he'd react to things and survive and such were basically made null. so maybe this could provide another chance for the writers to play with that concept. maybe they'll even rehash some ideas from the canceled mi sequel lost in scaradise
with randall being a criminal, there's basically no way he can legally become the scare record holder, so ultimately, his main goal right now is probably to terrorize mike and sulley. so perhaps he'll sneak into mi again and find a way to access boo's door, or use whatever technology johnny used to make a copy of her door to find and kidnap her. this would mess with sulley and mike big time, and with boo being used as leverage as a hostage, mike, sulley, roz, duncan, the cda, etc. wouldn't want to risk doing anything against randall's wishes in fear for her safety
maybe somewhere randall will try to manipulate tylor, which won't work of course, and he'll joke around being like "eh it was worth a shot" i also want to see him interact with mike and sulley of course, and he better GO OFF. perhaps the show writers will also pull something unexpected, like when it was revealed that chet was working for the roz or roger being waternoose's son. like randall got johnny arrested on purpose or has been working with some unexpected character or some random shit
steve buscemi can't be cheap so i don't know how major of a role randall will actually get. but i really hope they do something cool and interesting while still being in character, and bring back more of the nastiness that made him such a good villain in mi. as for the ending, idk, i feel like people are pretty divided on randall getting a redemption or not. i've said this before, but i feel like randall's got a long way to go for redemption, but i'm not completely opposed to if maw handles it in a believable creative way. i just don't really want him to be banished again because it'll just feel so repetitive. and please do not kill him off (i'll be traumatized)
Randall in Season 3
The longer I think about it, the more I struggle to think what the fuck is Randall actually going to do in Season 3?
He's got nothing left, everyone knows he's on the loose, his allies are both still in jail, the entirety of Monstropolis is against him, and Roz, Duncan and the CDA are trying to hunt him down
It's literally him against the world
So Like.... What even is the actual game plan here?
I can't see any conceivable way how Randall can be used as the Big Bad of Season 3 in this particular state
Only thing I can see Randall doing now is going into hiding for the majority of the season and like maybe somehow find a new ally who can help him come up with some new evil plan?
But idk I'm not a writer
#monsters at work#monsters inc#randall boggs#mike wazowski#james p sullivan#sulley#johnny worthington#henry j waternoose#boo#mary gibbs#tylor tuskmon#joy#maw#disney#me being busy but unable to resist sharing my thoughts on this 😭#but yeah great question! i actually didn't think too much on this before but this got me thinking#i actually came up with some of these ideas as i was writing lol#i have other thoughts on season 3 but i tried to restrict this to only talking about randall#what if he makes an alliance with a human 💀#when i watched randall get banished and bashed in the head when i watched mi as a kid i was distraught and pissed for a long time lol😭#please don't make me relive the trauma by killing him off 😔#analysis#mi#mu

I imagine the official story Akari gave the villagers when she dragged Volo's mangled body back down from Mount Coronet goes something along the lines of, "Volo wanted to battle me at the temple, but after I beat him he got possessed by a new pokemon which is why he looks like this", leaving out WHY Volo challenged her and that he was the one who summoned Giratina in the first place. As far as everyone knows, he just wanted a friendly rematch in a dramatic location and got really unlucky. Akari would probably tell Cogita the whole story, or she might even figure it out herself, so she can come by and be disappointed at Volo.
Possessed!Volo
Yes, I can't see Akari revealing what he did. Not because she doesn't think it was important, it really was, but because she knows the only thing that awaits him for this crime is banishment and she can't bring herself to be the one condemning him to that fate. Especially not in the state he's in. She was banished too, and she remembers too clearly what it was like - and can imagine too easily what would have become of her without Volo and Cogita.
Not to mention one way this AU differs from canon is that Volo got real humbled by Giratina possessing him, and doesn't represent nearly as much of a threat anymore. He wouldn't try the same thing again, most likely, but should she reveal what happened it won't matter to anyone whether he'd do it again or not - they'd banish him all the same, and nobody would offer him shelter. So Volo's reputation is going to take a bit of a blow for wanting a dramatic battle, but it's better than the alternative of being banished. And Cogita is going to give him an earful... But really that's the least he deserves.
#anon#ask#answer#possessed volo au#pokemon#pla spoilers#pokemon legends spoilers#really she'd feel better if she could tell people because it was a lot to handle and process and he did very nearly destroy the world#but she also can't tell the leaders knowing it'd just be sending him to die in the wilderness#it wouldn't be like her banishment where a lot of people still wanted to help her#nobody would want to help him (and can they really be blamed)#so she hides the truth and tells only cogita#that way she gets some comfort the whole story off her chest and to watch volo get relentlessly scolded#which has got to be fun to watch i'd like to see it too#especially considering he's objectively a mess immediately post-possession#kind of a pathetic sight really#which cogita won't hold back from remarking#he's too easy to bully

May we have a bullet list of what exactly has changed in the "Family AU"? I'm very intrigued to want to learn more 👀👀
Oooo okay so
We got Goldsmithshipping (Ray/Wu/Maya). They've been married since some time after the Serpentine War.
After Ray and Maya disappeared, Kai and Nya lived with Wu at the monastery. This was after Garmadon's banishment; he couldn't lose his brother, partners, and his children, too.... Kai and Nya don't grow up alone, but still miss their missing parents terribly.
I've taken the character of Lar from one of the books and turned him into my own thing. he's mine now <3 He is the youngest of the Smith siblings, and Wu is his biological father (though that's not something this family cares about much; no one is 'less' of anyone's parent or anything like that, and Ray and Wu love all three kids the same. Should hopefully be obvious, but I wanted to make that clear ^-^; )
HOWEVER, Wu, Kai and Nya don't know about Lar; Maya only found out she was pregnant just before Krux took her and Ray, and so he was born in the swamp.
Krux knew he wouldn't be able to use Kai and Nya as leverage over Ray and Maya for long before they with Wu (he made sure to come on a day Wu wasn't home, that would ruin his plans). He'd planned to keep up this false friendship to stay close to the children in case Ray and Maya disobeyed him or anything, but Maya pleading with him not to take her because she's pregnant and he "can't do this!" gave him the perfect thing to continue ensuring he held power over them.
Lar being there kinda makes the scene where Kai confronts Ray in S7 worse.
He comes with Ray and Maya too during the events of Seabound. He's not gonna miss a chance to help his big sister :)
Hmm I'm trying to think of what else is notably different... OH!
Kai and Nya likely knew Cole as kids; their parents were friends and Lilly was one of the only people Wu trusted enough to leave Kai and Nya with while he'd go and search for Ray and Maya. (Lou kinda distanced them both from everything when Lilly passed, and... Cole did not recognise Wu until he sees him with the now grown up Kai and Nya)
Misako has been there quite a bit for the ninja in the show, but she and Nya at least would be a lot closer, since they're neice and aunt after all.
The events of the pilots happen a bit differently too, mostly because Kai already knows the team, he had just not been too motivated in his training until Garmadon had Nya kidnapped.
Garmadon being his uncle, imo, makes the whole Kai distrusting him in S1 both kinda funny, and sad too
Kai and Nya are probably a little more personally invested in the events with the SOG; that's their uncle.
I can't really think of any other major changes, the plot pretty much stays the same... I do like to delve into how Krux's actions affected Ray, Maya and Lar though, and how they're recovering (or in Lar's case, adjusting to normal life).
......if I continue I'm just gonna ramble about Family AU forever 😅 I love it a lot. It used to be called Two Dads AU (im soooo creative with names lmao) back when it was just ray/maya (do they have a ship name??? steamshipping????) and ray/wu but then i thought, 'hey, y'know what.....'
There's also a kinda spinoff version of this au, Happy Family AU, where as little angst as possible happens, back with Kai, Nya and Lar as small kids. Morro and Zane are also there. THere's a basic rundown here.
Anything I post regarding to this AU is tagged 'family au'! It's probably my favourite of all the AUs I've come up with. Lots of angst, but also fluff and sweet moments, tense moments, angst.....
