something yunho's been doing a lot recently is showing more of himself physically / showing more skin / being a little more suggestive overtly in his content which is something pretty new for him. he's always been hot and has been sexy on stage, but as far as his personal content, this is pretty new for him. this to me is classic like.... he's gained confidence in the past few years, gotten into his mid twenties where you start to get a little more self assured with your own body or expressions of sexuality, etc. BUT the way that he's sharing this content i think is interesting and indicates to me that he knows what kind of reaction this is going to get from his fans, and he enjoys it.

he's been burying sexier pictures within his ig albums as not the first picture, with the first one being a little cute or just regular idol style pics. prime examples below --

in both of these cases, these are the "sexy shot" but he puts them in the middle of the albums. then when fans freak out or ask him about it on live/fromm his responses are usually something along the lines of "ohhh it wasn't too much was it? ah, no ofc i'll keep it just to that" etc. it would not surprise me in the least if he enjoyed the thought that we're all losing our shit when we swipe to these pics / our reactions online after not only give him a bunch of compliments but shows how riled up we are. that is CLASSIC dom behavior.

in a sexual context, this might look something like..... a dom casually touching or implying sex to their submissive over the course of a day but not really acknowledging it / playing off their submissive's reactions as cute/funny or in a meaner context, ignoring it all together. at the end of all that teasing though is the dom in control and verbally messing with their sub while finally, finally delivering the pleasure they were hinting at. this is something i am so positive yunho would excel at with the right partner.

that combined with the way he talks to hotteoks in fromm really gives the impression that he knows they enjoy being teased, and i truly don't think he would act like that if he didn't like it. he's been in the idol game long enough, if he wanted to set different boundaries or speak to his fans differently, he absolutely could. meanwhile he's out here playing straight into the delulu trends with birthday lockets and wedding flowers and boyfriend-y pics all the time on ig. not to mention the zayn song.... like he knows what he's doing.

he often teases hotteoks about being so flustered over him, plays into how 'jealous' he can be, and overall just leans in hard to d/s dynamics in a way that tells me it's quite natural for him. even just how often he says things like 'you're mine' / 'i'm yours' / 'you know you're mine right?' / 'yes you belong to me' etc. in his fromms just reads completely as a dominant establishing and reinforcing those ownership dynamics.

when it comes to other parts of his personality, i've talked about that at length in other posts (eye contact, natural leadership, body language, active listening, etc.) but i've really noticed a shift in him recently and can't get it off my mind.

on top of that, there have been a few moments on stage or with other members lately that really ring dominance. i'm very specifically thinking of the way he interacts with mingi and wooyoung, which i've written about before, but...... he's consistently holding eye contact with them lately, teasing them in ways that are platonic yes, but also just part of that natural part of him that wants to mess with someone who will break. like.... did yunho have to hold wooyoung's jaw while they were kneeling during halazia? probably not, but he did it. and the smile afterwards when wooyoung got a little flustered was clear satisfaction with the reaction he got.

Now this is actually a really good question, and I’m glad you asked because it gives me the chance to touch on something important.

Now, I don’t mind a little brattiness in a dynamic with my submissive. It can be playful, even delicious at times. But I want to be clear: I am not, and have never been, a constant brat-taming Domme. In the US at least, prohibition was wildly successful in some ways,** and a long term failure in others. But as a movement, and regarding the proponents of Prohibition — it was definitely way more complicated than this post would imply.

And while I can't read minds, it does kinda seem like the OP is leaning into the popular stereotype of the prohibition/temperance movement as largely self-satisfied hypocrites and also likely mostly white, mostly puritanical Christian types who hated fun.

But it was far more complex than that. I say that because like, a lot of the prohibition/temperance movement was initially spearheaded by abolitionists and suffragists, by black and native folks, by women of all races. Racism and eugenics did also end up playing a role in branches of the movement, but it didn't start there.

To quote some of what I linked:

The secret to understanding Black prohibitionism—and prohibitionism more generally—is to realize that the liquor in the bottle, the morality of drinking, and the eternal fate of the drunkard’s everlasting soul were at best secondary concerns to temperance activists. Instead, the primary target of their ire was the liquor traffic: predatory capitalism and the immorality of getting one’s fellow man addicted to promote your own profit. If you look at the opioid epidemic today, and bristle at Big Pharma making billions by hooking vulnerable people on OxyContin and then bleeding them dry, 100 years ago you would probably have been a prohibitionist. Same thing, different drug.

Add to this the political dynamics: the brewers, distillers and saloonkeepers who were making money hand over fist tended to be well-to-do whites. And while their clientele included mostly men of every color and creed, those communities that paid a disproportionate price for their men’s addiction—primarily women, African Americans, and Native Americans—had no vote, no legal standing, no political or economic power, and thus no recourse in opposing their systemic alcohol-subordination.

Prohibitionism wasn’t some reactionary cultural impulse to impose Christian morality or take away the “freedom to drink”: It was a progressive economic and political movement to emancipate entire communities from the worst excesses of predatory capitalism ... just the same as abolitionism. The two movements were born of the same ethos, pursued the same liberation, and were relentlessly advanced by many of the same activists.

And that's just focusing on the largely US-American piece of prohibitionism and temperance. There's some pretty obvious reasons why other (usually colonized) countries developed very strong prohibitionist policies and tendencies that began during the 19th and early 20th centuries and rose up alongside independence, liberation, and anti-colonial movements.

Courtwright’s The Age of Addiction has the statistics: “Per capita consumption initially fell to 30 percent of pre-Prohibition levels, before gradually increasing to 60 or 70 percent by 1933.” That suggests a 30 percent reduction, at a minimum, in consumption — although that was less than the initial effect, as people figured some ways around the law.

Across the Hudson River, in Manhattan, the number of patients treated in Bellevue Hospital’s alcohol wards dropped from fifteen thousand a year before Prohibition to under six thousand in 1924. Domestic violence complaints fell by half.

(I don't think realistically there could ever be a permanent total ban on alcohol in the US, but certainly other countries do it. The big failure of prohibitionism in the hands of the government was criminalizing consumers rather than producers.)

I think often, if not always actively or openly, about the long battle for Prohibition, the utter jubilance of its champions when they achieved their victory, and how short a time that lasted and how frustrated they became after they thought they won and how much they were stuck with every failing and consequence of implementation and responsibility, and how often they failed to heed any moderation or warning out of misplaced confidence and self-satisfaction, and how often they turned out to be hypocrites.

That act leads to familiar consequences with some possibly dangerous repercussions. Why I think it's a good 'un: Just pleased with the arcs I gave everyone.

The Time We Have Remaining: Four story series starting as canon divergence from just after episode 5 of Wandavision. Agatha cons Wanda into bringing Nicky to the Hex... But she doesn't expect Rio to be along for the ride. Why I think it's a good 'un: I got to spin a few things in new ways, got to do my own take on Wanda as part of the coven on the Witches' Road, played with the duality of Wanda as herself and as the Scarlet Witch, and the last story got a bunch of people into shipping Lenda (Lenny Busker×Wanda Maximoff) and that amuseth me greatly.

How I Cry: aka Cuddle Buddies. Trauma and mental illness have left Rio Vidal isolated from much of the world, hardly able to bring herself to leave her home even to spend time with her small friend circle. A suggestion from her therapist leads her to explore an online world of isolated and touch-starved people looking for others to spend time with. This, in turn, leads her to Agatha Harkness, a fellow sufferer of severe social isolation with a history of trauma. Rio and Agatha connect almost instantly, but what begins as a way for both of them to simply feel less alone slowly blossoms into something more. Why I think it's a good 'un: I put a lot of my own personal mental health issues into this one, and some people apparently felt genuinely seen and comforted by how I handled things.

Working On It: A goofy one-shot based on this post of mine in which social media influencers Agatha Harkness and Rio Vidal navigate keeping their relationship a secret from their respective followings (for various reasons.) Why I think it's a good 'un: I am inordinately proud of the usernames I made up.

We Carry On: The requisite rock band AU. In the mid 2000s and early 2010s, Coven True were a band on the rise. Then, a series of health issues, personal tragedies, and interpersonal disputes brought an end to the music. Over a decade after the band broke up, former Coven True frontwoman Agatha Harkness has built a successful solo career and settled in to raising Tommy and Billy, the sons of her deceased bandmate Wanda Maximoff. When her agent Lilia Calderu approaches Agatha about the possibility of getting the band back together for a reunion album and tour, the offer is almost tempting. Almost. Agatha might even go for it, if it would not mean having to deal with the person she has shut out of her life the most seriously: her ex-wife, Rio Vidal. Why I think it's a good 'un: I wrote an Agatha and Rio who, when they get past some of their background issues, manage to communicate with each other openly. Also the family dynamic between Agatha, Rio, Tommy, and Billy is fun, I think.

I think rose and idia have alot in common with the biggest difference being the fact she cant play most games (since she cant see the screen) i do think if she is able to join a club itd be board game club and i think that she would be really good at the games she is able to play. I specifically feel she and idia would be really competitive at math games since they are both extremely skilled at stem skills

In book one one after meeting riddle and learning from trey and the others what the rules mean to heartsybul rose decided they wanted to learn the rules as a peace sign and also out of respect(she managed to rope ace and grim into it with the hopes of it removing ace’s collar) rose lost her eyesight because she “didnt follow” lab safety rules and due to other backstory reasons she has the mentality that rules are there for reason, after a chat with riddle she was able to convince him to teach her the rules. Riddles on the list of characters i think rose would be close to because i think besides they tyrant thing, they agree on alot of the same things and have strong learning ethics and stuff

The heartshackle dynamic is always three dumbasses in a trench coat with yuu either adding to the pile or being the braincell holder. Rose is very much the brain cell holder, she is three seconds away from a breakdown but she wont let anyone know that so she just gives a soft smile and tries to find the most polite way to tell someone their plan is shit. Originally she made the truce with grim so he can be her service animal and she became friends with aduece because she thought they where good meat shields but she does genuinely start caring for them and enjoying their company, around book 4-5

If rose was an actual student in nrc she would have 100% been put in pomifiore. She is considered to be ethereally beautiful and she uses her beauty along with her innocent “doll eyed” act to protect herself as thats the only way she feels she can. Even if you get rid of all the trauma she used to love doing self care like hair brushing and outfit picking. I also think potionology would be her best subject magic or not since her father is a scientist and from a young age she was taught stem so she would have a step up on that subject. I just feel its the best dorm to put her in (also its fun for me cus i dont think about that dorm much but now with rose i get to think about them more and their dynamics)

I think rose thinks the leech twins are creepy scum with to much power to not get in trouble for their actions (i love them btw top 4 fav characters) but she would never say that out loud and i think jade atleast finds her interesting. I hc the twins use to be blind but they adjusted to being blind on land so horribly they made a contract with azul to take some of his eyesight in return for “something.” I think jade finds it so interesting learning how humans adapt to being bind and i also think he clocks how she is def hiding something under lock and keep. They are both “oh i know alot but im just gonna act dumb” characters but i think that would make them clash (though they would never confront each other about it)

Btw Floyds nickname for them would be either the default shrimpy or ghost catfish since her og name was ghost and even tho i changed it to rose awhile ago, i often keep it as a nickname for her or try to make her ghostly still. Also the fish just looked cool and cute at the same time, look it up they are so silly

I think leona is chill with rose. They arent friends but he def likes her more than most others in the school, enough to scare people off if they are messing with her a bit to much. He would grumble and tell her she needs to handle her own messes but he also wont stop helping her when he noticed she specifically takes her walks in ways where she will end up near where he rests (incase she needs a break away from others or worse if someone is following her) woke feminist leona def has a soft spot for her even if they dont talk alot (bonus: in the doodle i didnt write it but rose was reaching into her bag to grab pepperspray)

Rose is one of the best students in her class. She cant take notes(until she is gifted a braille writing stylus by riddle), she cant read (even if they had braille books i highly doubt twisted braille is the same as earths) but she has an extremely good memory and is really good at learning. Her father was a genius with multiple phds and while she never took the iq test shes always had a talent in stem and learning environments. She might not know the history of this world but she can pay attention in class and remember it without notes enough so to get good grades and she gets better when she is gifted the writing stylus. This definitely is something aceduce and grim fail to understand because when they ask how she just says “pay attention in class”. Her biggest struggle is when they do required reading but she is often able to convince grim or aduce to help in return for her to then explain the the passage says back to them

Mk thats it for now with rose. Roses story while not the closest to home in regard to my ocs means alot to me and im trying to do it as carefully as i can. I have alot of fun imagining her with the twist line and im prob gonna do a post just yapping about her opinion on the characters and theirs of her. Ill worry about drawing angst eventually but for now just silly doodles ^^

How are you so good at creating the chemistry between Sakura and Shisui... first A Quiet Thunder, now Lightning in a Bottle. You're so talented. I've also read your Sasosaku, you got me hooked up even when I'm not really into Sasosaku

How exactly did you create the chemistry between Shisui and Sakura though? They are two characters that never even met so it amazes me how you write their interaction. Also if you don't mind me asking, what makes you ship her with him?

My favorite crack/rare pair is Shisaku because while I'm also a Sasusaku shipper, somehow I just know Shisui would most definitely treat her better😞

ShiSaku is entirely @komorebi-rabbit 's fault. I'm really picky about Sakura ships in that I mostly dislike them with very narrow exceptions. I had never really cared about Shisui in my Tumblr/Naruto fandom heyday back in 2011-2016 because there was less than nothing about him in canon at the time and I've never been what you'd call an Uchiha fangirl. But then I started writing Naruto fics again in 2020, reread the whole manga, and eventually found my way to the filler anime episodes that featured Shisui leading up to the Uchiha Clan Massacre, and suddenly we had some cool and interesting backstory coloring within the lines the manga drew about him.

Bunny basically dared me to try writing ShiSaku after sharing her awesome headcanons regarding Shisui and Obito having crossed paths before Obito defected. It kind of spiraled from there. I got the idea for A Quiet Thunder like a shock to the system and it wrote itself. Lightning in a Bottle has been a natural and easy second installment that I feel even more confident about (I just wish I had a little more regular and reliable free time to work to it, but it's going).

This became a really long answer because I got super in to fleshing out how these two are complementary, and how they each have something that the other lacks but desperately craves in a lover. See under the cut for my Why ShiSaku psychosis analysis.

Sakura is hard for a lot of people to pin down and often gets OC SI-washed, which I find trite and boring and makes me intensely despise most multi-Sakura content, which I've written about here. But canon Sakura, while not the most fleshed out character ever, does have good bones. On the positive side, I love how she is portrayed as someone who is uncompromisingly loyal, she strives for excellence in all that she does, she doesn't compromise her convictions, and she has a burning desire to win when she sets her mind and fists to something. She's not as charismatic or confident as Ino, or as caustic and sharp-witted as Karin, but she has enough self-assurance in part 2 and strength of character to feel like she's got a backbone and isn't afraid to put her money where her mouth is. But I also appreciate that she is a deeply insecure and selfish person especially when it comes to decisions she makes that directly impact her teammates, her brand of love is obsessive and smothering, her civilian background gives her both privilege and excruciating naïveté vis-a-vis her teammates, and in part 1 she was shown to be a very lazy and unserious ninja. She grows and improves upon many of these negative traits in part 2, which is fantastic. That journey is fun to watch and explore more in depth in fic.

Shisui is trickier to nail down since we get most of his "personality" traits in the filler, non-canon episodes of the anime. But I'm fine with that, and I'm not per se opposed to how fandoms will sort of establish a non-canonical but widely accepted characterization. Sometimes that isn't good, but sometimes it is. Personally, I like to infer his personality by juxtaposing it with Itachi's personality, which is well-established in canon. He is the extrovert/people person compared to Itachi's weird, old man reticence (I say this with a lot of love for Itachi). It makes sense to make him the comedian to Itachi's straight man, which is a tried and true dynamic duo archetype. I don't necessarily mean he has to be hilarious or comic relief, just that compared to Itachi I think he'd lean a little more in that direction. Shisui is a scheming schemer who schemes, which we see from his deep political involvement in the events leading up to the Uchiha Massacre. From this, I'd infer that he knows how to manipulate people, is charismatic and magnetic, and also very shrewd and intelligent, possibly even ruthlessly so.

I like Shisui and Sakura together because (i) I think they would be attracted to each other's core positive traits, and (ii) the way they love would be complementary.

I'll start with being attracted to each other's traits. Sakura is fun to pair with a person who is more of a schemer than she is (which is not at all), someone who is more willing to see rules as guidelines than as written law. That keeps her on her toes because it's not a skill she has, and it leads to tension between them since she is pretty straight-laced and even kind of a boot-licker (complacency about the status quo). But she is intelligent enough and, crucially, compassionate enough see things from another person's starkly different worldview. If someone presents her with evidence that she is wrong about something, I think she is the type of person who will internalize that and make different decisions/be open to changing her mind. The Sasori fight is an excellent example of this. In this sense, I think she could empathize with Shisui, respect him even if she may not agree with all his decisions, and present herself as someone who he can reliably see as an ally both in the martial sense and in a more personal, human sense. There's a moment in part 1 of canon where Naruto transforms into Sasuke but still acts like Naruto, showering Sakura with love and affection, and she is super into it. I have always believed that scenes like that show that Sakura is someone who wants a partner who is not shy about their love for her, who is enthusiastic and happy to be around her and publicly expresses that enthusiasm, and who treats her with sincere appreciation. She needs that kind of validation and reassurance from a lover. I think she'd see all that in Shisui and be very drawn to that aspect of his personality. It would be easy for her to like him.

For Shisui's part, I think that being so closely associated with Itachi puts him in the position of being the river that has to bend and flow around the immovable rock that is Itachi's personality and standing. And he's good at that, and it makes him kind of a chameleon of a person, but it makes him hard for others to really relate to and get to know. He feels like the type who is flighty, hard to pin down, difficult to get truly close to. Sakura is very straightforward and a what you see is what you get type of person. She doesn't play the games he plays, and that's to her credit. She has a grounding effect that I think would anchor him, and he'd appreciate having another person who isn't Itachi, who isn't embroiled in all the politics of being Itachi, to act as a second and separate wayfinder in a storm. He doesn't have to scheme with her, doesn't have to be in battle mode around her because she is guileless and straight-laced in a way Itachi definitely is not. I think Shisui would find that appealing as something steady and sure in the midst of a life that has always been high speed, violent, chaotic, and full of people he can't fully trust and who don't really care about him beyond what he can do for them. Also, Sakura doesn't have the kind of trauma a lot of other characters do, the kind of trauma Shisui has, and I don't think she needs that. Her not having that, but also being the type of person who is willing and able to empathize with him once she gets a peek behind the curtain, is part of the appeal for him. I think they would genuinely get along in an opposites attract way.

They way they love is also complementary in my opinion. I think he is someone who, like Sakura, would love obsessively, ruinously, and selectively (which is similar to how Sasori loves, which probably tells you that there is a pattern here). I think this is how he loves Itachi (and also Obito in the aforementioned headcanon backstory). Sakura needs to smother the person she loves because that is how she understands love. Look in canon how she behaved with Sasuke. I know these words I'm using may seem like negative words, but I'm using them in a neutral sense. I don't think there is anything bad about her way of loving, but it's very polarizing and not something that resonates with everyone. It works with someone who, like her, sees love as the center of their universe, basks in the attention their lover gives them, and in turn gives their lover a lot of attention. Their love is not content to be casual, discreet, or polite. Rather, theirs is a love that is characterized by intensity, passion, shamelessness, look-at-me-and-let-me-see-you-looking-at-me levels of fixation. As much as Sakura wants someone to choose her above and before all others (she's been burned so hard by SNS whether you interpret them as platonic or romantic), Shisui I think would want someone to choose him first for a change when everyone else chooses Itachi. Itachi is the stronger of the two, the more politically important of the two, better breeding, more respected, etc. And on top of all that, even Itachi wouldn't choose Shisui first because he'll always choose Sasuke. But someone who chooses Shisui first when Itachi is right there? I think that would be so intoxicating to him.

I haven't spent nearly as much time obsessing over ShiSaku as I have SasoSaku, but the time I have spent has been as a mature, confident writer with better tools in my arsenal for this type of analysis. I really like this pairing, and I am really confident in how I've puzzled them together (with help from people like Bunny and others, of course!). I think to answer your original question, I can capture their chemistry because I'm really comfortable with what their chemistry even is (at least, my own version of it). Like knowing a recipe from memory and executing on it perfectly because you've done it a hundred times before, I know my version of ShiSaku up and down, forwards and backwards, head over heels. I think that's the most important part of the puzzle for how to make a pairing work. Passion speaks loudest, and you can really see when someone has studied their passion with the gunning hyper fixation of an uncaught serial killer.

I chose an entirely new dynamic. I'm hoping for Sonic and Amy to have obvious mutual feelings for each other, whether they become official boyfriend and girlfriend and/or they continue their "situationship"/friends-with-mutual-crushes-on-each-other dynamic. I'm open for Reverse Sonamy as well, but I definitely don't believe it will ever be one-sided as Amy's love for Sonic is a big part of her character. 🥰

I would love them to have the most similarities to the IDW comics version of them, mixed with Sonic Boom and Sonic Frontiers. Maybe Sonic Prime in terms of Sonic's flirting with Amy.

Amy's side of things: Maybe Amy could act like a fan girl with Sonic, but not in the overly affectionate romantic way like the original games, but more in the "You're the prophised hero of the universe. You're my hero and I want to fight beside you on your mission in stopping Metal Sonic." She kind of puts Sonic on a "perfect hero" pedestal at first, and is rather disappointed when he turns out to be a dorky, immature teenager who is constantly making jokes. She thinks him to be arrogant and reckless, and fears he's too much like his metal counterpart.

It's only through working together with him, seeing his loyalty and love for his family, and generally through having fun with him does Amy soften up to him and become his friend. She's won over by his compassion, courage and his desire to help others. Plus, Sonic makes her laugh and smile. 😁🥰 From there, her genuine romantic feelings grow and she's not afraid to let Sonic know how she feels through physical affection and flirtatious bantering (though not in a clingy and overly aggressive manner of her early game counterpart). Her love for Sonic from there is pretty crystal clear, but she's patient with Sonic and respects his need for personal space.

Sonic's side of things: As for Sonic, I do imagine he's attracted to Amy, but is in complete denial about it and even confused by his feelings. He's either really shy and awkward around her and/or he acts like a total flirtatious dork with lots of cheesy movie pick up lines (I'd like a mixture of both honestly 😁😉).

There's also a possiblity that he may act suspicious, guarded and a little hostile to Amy at first (due his traumatic experience with Shadow) and is unsure about whether or not to trust her. I could see the two argue and bicker constantly, which Sonic's family recognise as belligrent romantic attraction between them. Obviously Sonic denies his feelings at first, but overtime learns to trust Amy and eventually softens up towards her, especially when he hears of Amy's own past tragedies. The two empathise with each other over their hardships and pain. 😔🥹❤️

Soon enough their constant arguing begins to look more like flirtatious banter and they start to pick up on their attraction to each other. Sonic is confused about his feelings for Amy at first, but with good advice from Tom (and Maddie to an extent), he finally acknowledges his feelings for her. Nonetheless, he isn't in a hurry to start a relationship with her as he doesn't feel emotionally ready for it. He feels he's got a lot of growing up to do before he can take that big step. Amy understands and kisses his cheek, saying for him to return the kiss "when he is ready".

Throughout the rest of the franchise they continue to have their slow burn "will they-won't they" dynamic. Eventually after a certain amount of movie sequels, they hopefully and "eventually" become a canon couple. I believe they'll definitely be like Tom and Maddie in their relationship dynamic and matching personalities (Tom to Sonic and Maddie to Amy). 🤞😁🥰❤️

Other relationship examples I believe could match their relationship dynamic include Hiccup/Astrid (friends to lovers with a comfortable and relaxed relationship) and Robin/Starfire (the naive but enthusiatic, compassionate warrior girl with the more romatically reserved, shy but loyal and protective male hero who also share a friends to lovers dynamic)

Eugene/Rapunzel are a lot like them in their personalities, while Branch/Poppy are a good example of the slow-burn growth, both platonically and romantically.

These are all my theories and hopes for Movie Sonamy. I hope they will become canon in the movies as I believe Movie Sonic would be more open for romance being as he's more open with his emotions and values his relationships and commitmennts more than his Game Counterpart does. Even if they don't become a couple in the SCU, I hope the next best thing of adding lots of ship-teasing between the two. Whatever happens, I hope that the fans will enjoy the future movies without too much complaints.

edit: might need to add some additional dialogue to this to make it more clear, but a clarification in the interim; he knows about his own footprints. he's just surprised to see something similar already there when he knows he's only just landed. he lifts his own shoe to confirm that they're not identical (and also to reveal this to the viewer). seems his stoicism beat off the clarity in this one, sorry 😭
