Hiiii ! I don’t know if you’re taking requests or not but I had an idea for a Lando x reader imagine where they’ve been dating for a little bit (it’s still very new) and then one of his ex’s comes back into his life (platonically) and he completely forgets about the reader until someone comments about his getting back with his ex and he realises how much he’s neglected reader. So he has to make it up her.
Angst to fluff please
see me again (ln4)

Lando and Y/N’s relationship was still wrapped in the charm of newness. Six months in, everything felt fresh and exciting—every touch, every shared secret, and every stolen moment was etched with the novelty of love.
The mornings were Y/N’s favorite, especially when she woke up before him. She’d sit by the large windows of his Monaco apartment, sipping her coffee as the sunlight played across the harbor. Lando would shuffle out, hair tousled, mumbling something unintelligible about coffee before wrapping his arms around her from behind.
“You’re up early,” he murmured, resting his chin on her shoulder.
“I wanted to watch the sunrise,” she replied, smiling as he pressed a kiss to her neck.
“Im way more interesting than a sunrise.”
“Debatable.”
He feigned offense, but the way his lips curved into a smile gave him away. These quiet moments were theirs—a world apart from the public eye and the roar of engines.
It was during one of these serene mornings when his phone buzzed on the counter, the name Sophia lighting up the screen.
“Who’s that?” Y/N asked casually, sipping her coffee.
Lando glanced at his phone and grinned. “Oh, Sophia. My ex. She’s back in Monaco.”
Y/N’s stomach tightened, but she kept her expression neutral. “Oh, that’s nice. Are you two still in touch?”
“Not really. We parted on good terms, though. She just wanted to catch up.”
Catch up. The phrase hung in the air like an unspoken question.
“That’s... nice,” Y/N replied, her tone light but forced.
“It’ll be fine,” Lando reassured her, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “We’re just friends now.”
At first, Y/N convinced herself it wasn’t a big deal. Lando was an open book, and he’d never given her a reason to doubt him. But over the next few weeks, Sophia’s presence loomed larger in their lives than Y/N had anticipated.
“Hey, love, can we raincheck tonight? Sophia wants to grab dinner, and I haven’t seen her in forever,” Lando said one evening, his tone casual, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Y/N’s stomach sank. “Yeah, sure. No problem,” she replied, masking her disappointment.
But it didn’t stop there. Plans were canceled or cut short. Lando would come home later and later, distracted and tired. The easy laughter they used to share was replaced with curt conversations, and Y/N felt like an afterthought in his life.
The final straw came when she arrived at the paddock one weekend, hoping to surprise him, only to find him deep in conversation with Sophia by his car. They looked so comfortable together, laughing and reminiscing, that Y/N felt like an outsider looking in.
“Y/N!” Lando called when he spotted her. “Come meet Sophia.”
She forced a polite smile, shaking Sophia’s hand. The woman was beautiful and warm, everything Y/N wasn’t sure she could compete with.
“It’s so nice to meet you. Lando talks about you all the time,” Sophia said, her smile genuine.
“Likewise,” Y/N replied, her voice tight.
----
The invitation had been on their fridge for weeks: a prestigious event honoring young researchers. Y/N had worked tirelessly on a groundbreaking discovery, and the award was a testament to her dedication. Lando had promised to be there.
That night, Y/N stood in front of her mirror, adjusting her dress nervously. She had picked a navy-blue gown that Lando had once said brought out her eyes. She sent him a quick text as she slipped on her heels.
Y/N: Heading out now. Can’t wait to see you there.
But as she arrived at the venue and scanned the crowd, he was nowhere to be found. She sat at the table reserved for her friends and family, her phone buzzing in her clutch.
Lando: Sophia’s car broke down, and I had to help her out. I’ll come as soon as I can.
The evening passed in a blur. Y/N walked on stage to accept her award, smiling for the cameras, but the empty seat next to her screamed louder than anything else.
When she got home, her trophy in hand, Lando was already asleep on the couch.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled when she woke him up. “Sophia was stranded, and I couldn’t leave her.”
Y/N just nodded, swallowing her words. What was the point of saying them if he wasn’t listening?
---
Their Friday date nights had been a sacred tradition from the very beginning. It was their way of carving out time amidst their busy schedules. Y/N had planned something special—dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date, followed by dessert at their favorite ice cream shop.
She waited at the table, checking her phone every few minutes.
Y/N: Are you on your way?
No reply.
Thirty minutes turned into an hour, and the once-cozy restaurant felt suffocating. Y/N paid for her untouched meal and walked out, her heels clicking against the pavement as she headed home.
When she entered the apartment, Lando was sitting on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
“Hey,” he said casually. “Sorry, I lost track of time. Sophia and I were talking, and—”
“You forgot,” Y/N interrupted, her voice sharper than she intended.
“I said I’m sorry,” Lando replied, frowning. “You could’ve called.”
“I shouldn’t have to,” she shot back, her frustration boiling over. “I planned this night for us, Lando. Not for me to sit alone while you spend the evening with her.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“You didn’t mean to,” Y/N repeated bitterly. “That’s the problem.”
---
Y/N had been looking forward to their weekend getaway for weeks. It wasn’t anything extravagant—just a quiet trip to the countryside, away from the noise of Monaco and the demands of Lando’s career.
She packed their bags and waited by the door, excitement bubbling in her chest. But an hour before they were supposed to leave, Lando called.
“I can’t make it, love,” he said apologetically. “Sophia’s moving, and she needs help with her furniture. Raincheck?”
Raincheck. The word felt like a slap.
“Sure,” Y/N replied, her voice flat.
The weekend passed in solitude, and the bags she had packed remained untouched by the door.
Each instance chipped away at Y/N’s patience and self-worth. By the time she confided in Alexandra and Charles, she wasn’t just frustrated—she was heartbroken.
The facade cracked later that week when Y/N confided in Alexandra and Charles during a quiet dinner at their place.
“I don’t even know who I’m dating anymore,” she admitted, tears streaming down her face.
Alexandra wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. “Y/N, you need to tell him how you feel. He can’t fix what he doesn’t know.”
Y/N shook her head. “He doesn’t even see it, Alex. I feel invisible. Like I’m just... here while he’s off with her. And the worst part? I don’t even think he realizes what he’s doing.”
Charles, who had been silent, finally spoke. “That’s not fair to you. You deserve better.”
“I don’t even know if he loves me anymore,” Y/N whispered, her voice breaking.
Alexandra hugged her tightly, while Charles looked at her with quiet determination. “Then he needs to figure it out,” he said firmly. “But not at the cost of your happiness.”
Y/N nodded, her heart heavy as she realized she couldn’t keep going like this. Something had to change—because the person she had fallen in love with felt further away than ever.

Chapter 2: Cracks Become Chasms
Lando stood near the McLaren motorhome, signing autographs and laughing with fans. It was a typical morning at the paddock, but the air felt heavier today. The whispers had started earlier, and by the time a journalist approached him for a quick interview, the weight of the rumors was impossible to ignore.
“So, Lando,” the journalist began with a smirk, “there’s been a lot of buzz about you and Sophia lately. Fans are wondering—is there something going on? A reconciliation perhaps?”
The question hit him like a brick.
“Uh, no,” he stammered, forcing a chuckle. “We’re just friends.”
The journalist raised an eyebrow. “It’s just, we haven’t seen much of Y/N lately, and you and Sophia seem to be spending a lot of time together. People are starting to talk.”
Lando felt the color drain from his face. “Y/N and I are fine,” he said quickly, brushing off the comment. But doubt began to creep in.
As he walked back toward the garage, he spotted Alexandra striding toward him, her expression thunderous. Her heels clicked sharply against the pavement, each step radiating fury.
“Alex, hey—”
“Don’t Alex me,” she snapped, her voice louder than he’d ever heard. “What the hell is wrong with you, Lando?”
“Wait, what?” Lando blinked, taken aback.
“You’ve been an absolute idiot, that’s what!” Alexandra’s voice rose, catching the attention of several passersby. “Do you even realize what you’ve done to Y/N? She’s been breaking her heart over you, and you’re too busy playing hero for Sophia to notice!”
“Alexandra—”
“No!” she interrupted, pointing a finger at his chest. “Do you know where Y/N was last night? Crying her eyes out because she doesn’t know if the person she fell in love with even exists anymore!”
Lando stepped back, his mouth opening and closing, but no words came out.
“You’ve been canceling on her, forgetting her, neglecting her! And for what? To be Sophia’s knight in shining armor? She’s your past, Lando. Y/N is your present! Or is she not anymore?”
“Alexandra, enough,” Charles murmured, stepping in. He gently pulled her back, his hands on her shoulders as he whispered something in French, his voice soft and soothing.
“Don’t defend him,” she snapped at Charles, though her tone softened slightly at his touch.
“I’m not defending him,” Charles replied, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to Alexandra’s rage. “But you’re scaring him, and I’d rather he listens than shuts down.”
Alexandra huffed but stepped back, crossing her arms as her eyes burned holes into Lando. “If you care about her at all, Lando, you’d better fix this. Because if you don’t, you’re going to lose the best thing that’s ever happened to you.”
The words echoed in Lando’s ears as he retreated to the privacy of his driver’s room. He sat on the edge of the couch, his head in his hands.
Was it really that bad?
He grabbed his phone and opened social media, his heart sinking as he scrolled through countless comments.
@fan1: “Is Lando back with Sophia? Poor Y/N hasn’t been seen in ages.” @fan2: “Sophia again? Guess Y/N deserved better anyway.” @fan3: “Y/N’s been posting about her work, and Lando hasn’t even acknowledged her award. But sure, let’s talk about Sophia’s car breaking down.” @fan4: “Why does it feel like Y/N is just an afterthought to him now? I miss when they seemed so happy.”
His breath caught as he stumbled upon a photo of Y/N at her award show, standing on stage with her trophy. Her smile was radiant, but something about her eyes looked off—distant, hollow.
Lando scrolled further, finding more pictures of her. There was one she’d posted of their planned getaway, the caption reading, “Maybe next time.” It had been liked thousands of times, but the comments told a different story.
@fan5: “It’s sad seeing her try so hard when Lando doesn’t even show up.” @fan6: “He doesn’t deserve her if this is how he treats her.” @fan7: “Sophia’s great, but Y/N is the one who stood by him. What is he doing?”
Each comment was a stab to his chest, and Lando realized with horror that everyone had noticed his neglect—everyone but him.
He leaned back, staring at the ceiling as guilt clawed at him. How had he been so blind? Y/N had been giving him everything, and he had taken it all for granted. Alexandra’s words echoed in his mind: She’s been breaking her heart over you.
Lando’s chest tightened as his thumb hovered over Y/N’s contact. He didn’t even know what to say. Would an apology even be enough?

Chapter 3: Silent Realizations
The apartment was eerily quiet when Lando stepped through the door. He set his keys down carefully, as though afraid any sound might shatter the fragile air of tension. He glanced at the clock—it was late, far later than he’d intended to come home.
The smell of food lingered faintly in the air, but the dishes were already washed and stacked neatly. A plate of leftovers sat covered on the counter, untouched. He frowned, guilt gnawing at him. She hadn’t waited for him for dinner.
The living room lights were dimmed, and his heart clenched when he saw Y/N curled up on the couch, a blanket pulled halfway over her. She wasn’t asleep—her eyes were on the TV, but the blank look on her face told him she wasn’t really watching.
“Y/N,” he called softly, his voice breaking the stillness.
She glanced at him briefly, her expression unreadable, before returning her gaze to the screen.
“Hey,” he tried again, stepping closer.
“Hey,” she replied, her tone distant, polite.
It broke him.
Lando stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do, before his feet carried him to her. He didn’t say anything, didn’t try to explain or defend himself. Instead, he sank onto the couch beside her and wrapped his arms around her tightly, pulling her into his chest.
Y/N froze at first, her body stiff against his. She didn’t hug him back, didn’t move, didn’t even speak.
“Please,” Lando whispered into her hair, his voice cracking. He held her tighter, as if letting go would mean losing her forever.
After a moment, something in her broke. Her arms wrapped around him, clutching him like he was the last lifeline in a storm. Her shoulders shook as the first sob escaped her lips, and then the dam burst.
She cried into his chest, her tears soaking through his shirt. Her pain poured out in waves, raw and unfiltered, and Lando held her like his life depended on it.
“I’m sorry,” he choked out, his voice barely audible over her sobs. “God, Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
Her crying didn’t falter, but he kept going, the words spilling out of him in a desperate rush.
“I’ve been the worst boyfriend. I’ve neglected you, hurt you, made you feel like you don’t matter, and it’s all my fault. You’ve given me everything, Y/N, and I... I’ve been too blind to see it.”
She pulled back slightly, her tear-streaked face looking up at him, her eyes filled with anguish.
“You don’t even see me anymore, Lando,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
“I see you now,” he said, his voice fierce, his hands cupping her face. “I see you, Y/N. And I hate myself for making you feel invisible, for making you question your worth, for making you cry when all you’ve ever done is love me.”
He rested his forehead against hers, his own tears slipping free. “You’re everything to me, Y/N. You’re the reason I smile, the reason I feel grounded, the reason I believe I can be better. And I’ve taken you for granted. I’ve been so caught up in my own world that I forgot how much I need you in it.”
Her lip quivered, fresh tears spilling down her cheeks.
“I miss you,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “I miss us.”
“We’ll get us back,” Lando vowed, his hands trembling as they brushed her tears away. “I swear to you, Y/N. No more excuses, no more distractions. I’m here. Fully, completely, here. And I’ll spend every day proving it to you, if you’ll let me.”
Her arms tightened around him again, her sobs subsiding into quiet hiccups. For the first time in weeks, she allowed herself to believe him.
“I just don’t want to lose you,” she murmured, her voice small.
“You won’t,” he promised, his lips brushing her forehead. “I’ll never let that happen. I love you, Y/N. I love you so much.”
They stayed like that for a long time, tangled in each other’s arms, the silence now filled with unspoken promises and fragile hope. It wouldn’t be easy, but Lando was determined to make things right—starting now.
--
The apartment was quiet, save for the faint hum of the city outside. It had been weeks since everything had fallen apart, but in the aftermath, Lando had rebuilt their relationship brick by brick. Every day, he showed up—not just physically, but emotionally. Dinner dates, goodnight kisses, endless inside jokes—it was perfect. Y/N felt like they’d found their way back to each other, stronger than ever.
But perfection could still hide lingering fears.
Lando shot up in bed, his breathing ragged, sweat dampening his shirt. The room was dark, the faint glow of the moon casting shadows across the walls. His chest heaved as the images of his dream haunted him—Y/N’s tear-streaked face, her cold tone, and the final words that echoed in his mind like a death knell:
“I can’t do this anymore, Lando. I’m done.”
His heart twisted painfully, and he scrubbed his hands over his face, trying to shake the phantom ache. Quietly, so as not to wake her, he slipped out of bed and padded to the balcony.
The cool night air hit his skin as he stepped outside, leaning heavily on the railing. His chest was tight, his throat dry. Despite everything they’d overcome, the fear of losing her still clawed at him.
“Lando?”
Her voice was soft, laced with sleep, but it startled him. He turned to see Y/N standing in the doorway, her hair messy from sleep and his oversized hoodie draped over her frame.
“Hey,” he whispered, quickly wiping at his face.
“Why are you out here?” she asked, stepping closer. Her brows furrowed as she noticed the redness in his eyes. “Have you been crying?”
“No, I’m fine,” he lied, his voice shaky.
“Lando,” she said firmly, crossing the distance between them. She placed a hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at her. “Talk to me.”
He let out a shuddering breath, his resolve crumbling under her touch. “I had a nightmare,” he admitted, his voice barely audible. “You left me.”
Her face softened instantly. “Oh, Lando…”
“It felt so real,” he continued, his voice breaking. “You said you couldn’t do it anymore. That I’d hurt you too much, and you were done. I tried to stop you, but you were already gone. And when I woke up, I—” His voice cracked, and he covered his face with his hands, his shoulders shaking as silent sobs overtook him.
Y/N’s heart shattered at the sight. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close. “I’m here,” she murmured, her voice steady despite the ache in her chest. “I’m right here, Lando.”
“I was so awful to you,” he choked out, his arms tightening around her. “I keep thinking about everything I did—everything I didn’t do—and I hate myself for it. What if… what if one day you realize you deserve better and leave?”
She pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes, her hands cupping his face. “Lando Norris, listen to me,” she said, her tone firm but filled with love. “I’m not going anywhere. Yes, you hurt me. Yes, it was hard. But you’ve shown me every single day since then how much you care, how much I mean to you. You fought for us, and I know you’ll keep fighting.”
“I just… I can’t lose you,” he whispered, his voice raw.
“You won’t,” she promised, brushing her thumbs over his cheeks to wipe away his tears. “I’m here because I love you. Not the perfect version of you, not the driver everyone sees, but you. The one who makes stupid jokes, who holds me when I cry, who tries so hard to make up for his mistakes. That’s the Lando I love. And I’m not leaving him.”
Her words washed over him, soothing the storm inside. He buried his face in her shoulder, clutching her as though she might disappear if he let go.
“I don’t deserve you,” he murmured.
“You do,” she insisted, pulling back to press a kiss to his forehead. “You’re not perfect, Lando. Neither am I. But we’re perfect together, and that’s all that matters.”
He nodded against her shoulder, the tightness in his chest finally easing. “I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too,” she replied, holding him close.
They stood there for a while, wrapped in each other’s warmth under the night sky. Eventually, Y/N tugged him back inside, settling them both on the bed. She kept her arms around him, her fingers running soothingly through his hair until his breathing evened out and sleep finally claimed him.
And as he drifted off, Lando realized that as long as he had her, the nightmares didn’t stand a chance.

voguemagazine While we're patiently waiting for the release of Y/n's album Short n' Sweet, lets go behind the scenes of the 2nd single "Please Please Please"s music video which featured L/n's boyfriend and Three Time Formula One Champion of World Max Verstappen.
"I ended the last video getting arrested, so naturally I thought it would be satisfying to start the 'Please Please Please' video in jail", said the singer. "I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes. I was sooo lucky to get Max Verstappen in the video 'cause he's a busy guy but I was a little unsure who I wanted to play the guy who I was falling in love with, then I realized "why not have the guy your in love with be the love interest?" and he was instantly down." said the singer after the music video was released.
The video’s director said "The amount of energy and effort he put in while also being conscious of being out of the way or it not being about him, it was great. It’s hard to cast people in general, but to get them that dedicated is unique." he added "During the first few takes before Max got used to having to act, anytime he'd look at Y/n he'd smile and almost like melt so we had to give him a few pointers but after that he killed it" video’s director said about Verstappen.
The director added "The two were professional on camera but after the camera cut they'd laugh and behave as any other couple, it’s super weird and very meta. They’re essentially playing themselves in this really elevated and theatrical way that is not themselves at all. Now there was this responsibility because they’re a couple and they’re being filmed together for the first time in this kind of really big way, so that responsibility of doing them both justice and making them both look amazing and making sure that people understand that this is fiction while keeping it light and lovely became the priority."

enews Callum Turner spoke out about his relationship's being in the spotlight, while Turner and Y/n L/n's relationship was private, Callum and Dua Lipa's relationship was a public whirlwind of an on and off relationship.
"I know that people are always going to be curious especially when it's two famous people being seen together [...] I knew that she was going to write music because it's what she does [...] you know she'll do whatever to help her career [...] at the end of they day i wish her all the best."
Y/n L/n has been in a relationship with Three Time Formula One Champion of World Max Verstappen for over a year, the pair haven spoken very highly of each other and the two have supported each other’s careers. While some of her songs off her recent album Short n’ Sweet like Taste, Coincidence, and Dumb & Poetic are about Turner, the more playful and loving songs like Espresso, Bed Chem, and Juno are about Verstappen.
What do you think about Turners comments?

♡ TW: hybrid au, bullying, harassment
♡ GN reader
Tumblr media
A sudden evolutionary change befalls the entire human race, turning everyone into hybrids…
And as your bully comes to terms with how much bulkier he's become, along with his new sharp teeth, stronger jaw, and round furry ears, as well as the little tassel he'd grown for a tail, he's also picturing you—his cute little classmate.
At first, he caught himself thinking about what you'd look like if you were part bear like him, but then, when mulling over the fact that everyone had altered into some type of animal that seemed to complement characteristics they had already, he began wondering what animal characteristics best suited you, and what your bullyable body now looked like.
If he were to guess before seeing you, he'd think your meek nature must have gifted you with an animal equally as pathetic—like a little mouse.
But no, not exactly, though not far off either.
There you are, in the classroom before anyone else, bright and early like always, as if you want him to catch you alone.
“Well, well, well… look what we have here,” he announces himself, placing one heavy foot before the other as he saunters over to your desk.
You jump up from your chair in a flurry, spooked by his voice. "Oh–hey," you greet, timidly like usual, maybe even more so, as you take in his new size, eyes widening as you do.
"Tch-" he scoffs, sharp eyes looking down at you, thinking you must have shrunk a whole head before remembering how his growth was probably half to blame. "Of course, the most useless person in the world turns into the most useless animal ever."
Your button nose wriggles, but you don’t dare negate his statement. "And you're a—" you start, but almost instantly regret it as obvious an observation as it is, "Bear."
He sneers, "Guess what they say about bunnies being dumb is true after all."
Your buck teeth peek forth as you bite into your lip, bowing your head. "Was there something you wanted?"
With his hands in his front pockets, he stands there for a moment—in silence that only seemed to increase in deadliness the longer it lasted, before stating his demand, "Show me your tail."
You look up at him at that. "W-why?"
He unpockets his paw and plants it on your desk, leaning in close. A grin spread on his lips—fangs and all. "'Cause I wanna see it. So turn around."
You shake your head pitifully. "N-no, that's embarrassing."
But he doesn’t care much about your refusal, only sighing heavily before grabbing your arm and pulling you forward until your chest met the solid surface of the desk, bent over it oh-so-prettily and ready for inspection.
"Come on, dont be difficult," he growls through a smirk, watching you wiggle a bit until settling down, all too quickly yielding under his mighty grip—a display that makes him lick his teeth before slolwy lifting your shirt, pulling it up your back, watching as the little tuft of fur waiting beneath it springs out of hiding for him to see.
He simpers at the sight, then eagerly goes to feel it.
You whimper at his handling, but he ignores you. Feeling up the softness between his fingers. "Tch–so fluffy… no different from a stuffed animal."
His eyes pan to your face, looking at it cower, squished against the desk with knitted brows and eyes squeezed shut. You’re really just gonna lie there and let him do this, aren’t yah?
"Lop ears are a sign of domestication, y'know?" he says then, picking one of the floppy things up, giving it a rub that makes your whimpers turn into whines.
"Yeah… if it wasn't clear enough before…” he chuckles. “ You're as submissive as they come.”

How Everyone In The Paddock Knows You're Dating : ̗̀➛ F1 Reaction
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
» Max Verstappen
He’s naturally paying attention to you, without even realising that he’s doing it until one of the team nudges his side. The team are well aware of Max’s eyes trailing across to look at you, or switching off to the conversation as soon as you start talking. He doesn’t know he’s doing it, but the team are well trained and constantly have to remind Max to pay attention again. He can’t help but smile whenever he’s looking at you, especially when he watches you walk around the garage with such an interest, showing a genuine enthusiasm for learning as much as you can about where Max works and what he does,
» Lando Norris
He’s like a big kid most of the time, but Lando becomes a lot softer whenever he’s around you, like you make him weak at the knees just from being by his side. The team notice how needy he becomes as soon as he’s in your presence, searching for affection as often as possible. Lando stops focusing on anyone else, the only person that he wants to be around is you. No one in the garage can believe how different Lando is when he’s around you, how he stumbles around, how he giggles uncontrollably, how he can’t bear to be in the same room as you without some sort of physical contact.
» Charles LeClerc
Everyone knows that your Charles because his eyes are always watching you. He loves knowing exactly where you are, forever checking that you’re alright and that you’re safe. When he loses sight of you, Charles can’t help but panic, eyes darting around until he spots you again. There’s a fondness in his eyes whenever he’s watching you, if you’re smiling, he’s smiling, if you’re laughing, he laughs with you, and if you seem upset, Charles gets upset too, heading over to you to see if you’re alright. It doesn’t matter what’s happening at the paddock, Charles loves the feeling of knowing that you’re right there with him, like a comfort right by his side.
» George Russell
No one in the paddock can fault how much of a gentleman George is for you, despite how busy he is, he always manages to make time to do all the little things for you. He holds the door open for you at every opportunity, keeps his arm around you to protect you from the crowd, offers you his jacket whenever he notices that you’re getting cold, anything that he can in order to keep you safe. Before a race George checks up on you, makes sure that you’re warm enough, had plenty of food, and ensures you’re sat where you can see the race in a spot that’s nice and quiet.
» Carlos Sainz
His smile always gets bigger the second he notices you’re around, usually spotting you out of the corner of his eye whilst half listening to what’s being said by the team. When he knows you’re nearby, Carlos is eager for things to be wrapped up as soon as possible so he can go over and see you. As soon as you’re within touching distance, Carlos’ arm wraps around you, with a kiss pressed to the top of your head to greet you, wondering what you’ve been up to whilst he’s been busy. Nobody else needs to look to see if you’re there, they can tell by the excitement in Carlos’ expression that you’re around.
» Oscar Piastri
Every single person in the paddock has listened to Oscar tell some sort of story about you, he loves telling them about you. He talks about you with so much excitement that every single one of them knows just how in love Oscar is with you too, sounding much happier than he ever does when he’s talking about his car. He remembers every last detail about the things that he does with you, and has the world’s biggest smile on his face whenever he shares them with anyone. It’s one thing that he’ll never tire of, forever gushing about you around his team.
» Daniel Ricciardo
It’s the little things that everyone in the paddock notices that Daniel always does for you. It’s the way he passes you one of his caps if it’s particularly sunny or passes you his water bottle to drink out of when you tell him that you’re getting thirsty and can’t get through to get a drink. He’s constantly attentive, despite how busy he’s supposed to be, he can’t help but still pay attention and make sure that he’s protecting you. The whole team knows just how in love Daniel is with you, after all, he doesn’t take care of any of them anywhere near as well as he takes care of you.
» Lewis Hamilton
The team can’t help but admire the way that Lewis looks at you, like you’re the most fragile person in the world that he has to protect. He loves to have you glued to his side when he’s at the paddock, no matter who he’s talking to. Whether it be a team meeting, a chat with a sponsor, or providing some feedback to Toto and Bono, Lewis still has his eyes on you. You don’t say much, not that you can, but when you do speak, Lewis looks at you with such an adoring look that the rest of the team can’t help but admire how fond Lewis is of you.

We’ll Do the Things That Lovers Do
summary: you ask, alexia answers
warnings: none
a/n: it’s a cute one
word count: 1.5k
-
The first time you meet Alexia, the sun is a ruthless overseer, searing the already pale blue sky into white. You’re twelve, English, slightly awkward, and profoundly unsure of why your parents thought it was a good idea to send you to a football camp in Spain. You like football well enough, but you’ve always been better at watching it than playing. Still, here you are: standing on a pitch that smells of hot turf and dry grass, surrounded by kids who chatter in Catalan and Spanish. The words tumble from their mouths too fast for you to catch more than fragments, a reminder that you’re out of place.
The ball comes to you with a dull thud. You freeze, and for one breathless moment, the whole world shrinks to that scuffed, overinflated orb at your feet.
“Shoot,” a voice says, startling you. You glance up and see her—Alexia.
She’s smaller than the others but somehow commands the space around her, her presence as steady and deliberate as her movements. Her ponytail is lopsided, and her knees are bruised, but her eyes are bright, alert, the colour of chestnuts split open in autumn. She nudges her chin towards the goal, repeating the word as if it’s the most natural thing in the world: “Shoot.”
You do.
It’s a disaster. The ball veers wildly to the left, nowhere near the goal. You feel the heat of embarrassment creeping up your neck, but Alexia grins—a wide, unabashed smile that flashes crooked teeth. She claps you on the shoulder as she jogs past, muttering something you don’t understand but recognise as encouragement.
That was the beginning.
-
The pitches look smaller than you remember—disappointingly so, as if the scale of your childhood has been robbed by adulthood’s harsher clarity. Once, they stretch endlessly before you, bordered by mountains shrouded in haze, the kind of expanses that make you feel free and invincible. But now, standing at the edge of the field, the chain-link fencing looks shorter, the goals less daunting, and the turf more contrived—newer, more synthetic, missing the patches of wear and uneven grass that seem like the field’s imperfections were secrets shared only with you.
You’re struck by how time skews memory. Is it really this contained, or is this just another reminder of how the magic of youth magnifies everything? Back then, the setting sun behind the hills paints the whole world in gold, and the air always seems fresher, tinged with the earthy smell of grass and sweat. Now, as the same sun filters through the fence, casting sharp geometric shadows, it feels less grand, more staged—as if the past doesn’t belong here anymore.
The drive here is steeped in silence, a comfortable one, though tinged with anticipation. Alexia leans against the passenger window, her profile illuminated by the last of the daylight. She isn’t glued to her phone like most people would be; instead, she keeps her eyes on the world beyond the glass, mind wandering to a place you wish you could join her. Every so often, you catch her glancing at you—not suspiciously, but with a curiosity that she doesn’t voice. You think she’s learned to trust your mysteries, to follow where you lead, even when you offer no explanation.
You don’t tell her where you’re taking her. She doesn’t ask either, though the slight tightening of her lips gives away that she’s thinking about it. It isn’t a long drive—twenty-five minutes if you discount the wrong turn past the industrial estate. You hadn’t planned to drive at all; Barcelona’s public transport is convenient, reliable, and environmentally conscious. But today feels like a day for small indulgences, for moments steeped in intention.
The Aston Martin DBX707 isn’t the kind of car you use often; its polished bottle-green exterior and tan leather interior scream opulence in a way you sometimes find embarrassing. It isn’t about practicality or subtlety—it’s about craftsmanship, the pure indulgence of owning something that serves no greater purpose than being exceptional. Alexia doesn’t comment on it when you pick her up, though you notice the way her fingers linger over the stitching on the door handle, tracing the lines absentmindedly, as if she’s trying to understand it through touch alone.
When you park just outside the gates of the Espanyol academy grounds, she finally speaks. “You’re being weird,” she says, her voice light but edged with curiosity. Her outfit mirrors her casual confidence—black jeans that brush the laces of her shoes, a white cropped t-shirt that looks effortlessly styled, and a leather jacket that has clearly seen years of wear. It isn’t flashy, but on her, it might as well be runway-ready. The thin gold bracelet on her wrist—a birthday gift from you two years ago—catches the fading sunlight with every movement.
You smile, stepping out of the car and sliding on your jacket. It’s one of those late-March evenings where the air is crisp but not cold, hovering just on the edge of warmth. “You’ll see,” you reply, your tone deliberately vague.
The grounds are quieter than you remember, almost reverent in the stillness. The sleek building that replaces the old equipment shed gleams in the light, its glassy windows reflecting the hills beyond. Everything looks new, improved, as if the years have smoothed over the rough edges you’ve grown to love. Even the pitches seem more uniform, the kind of green that’s cultivated with care rather than worn down by eager feet.
As you walk, Alexia trails a step behind, her eyes roaming the space with a mix of recognition and disbelief. “This is—” she starts, her voice catching. Then she stops, as if finishing the thought might make it too real.
“Where we met,” you say simply, stepping onto the grass.
She doesn’t respond right away. Instead, she stands still at the edge of the pitch, her hands sliding into the pockets of her jacket. Her gaze is distant, fixed somewhere between the past and the present. “I haven’t been here in years,” she murmurs finally. Her tone is quiet, almost introspective, like she’s speaking more to herself than to you.
For her, this place is sacred. It’s the foundation of everything she’s built—the trophies, the accolades, the flint of the unwavering respect of millions. For you, it’s a piece of your past, formative but fleeting. Yet standing here now, you realise how deeply intertwined your histories are.
You walk toward the center of the pitch, the turf soft beneath your shoes. You’ve chosen your outfit with care: tailored charcoal-grey trousers, a crisp white shirt, and suede loafers that are entirely impractical but precisely the point. Alexia follows, her steps slower, more measured, as if each one carries a memory she hadn’t expected to confront today.
“Do you remember the first thing you said to me?” you ask when you reach the center circle.
She squints slightly, her expression softening as she searches her memory. “I told you to shoot,” she says at last.
“And it was terrible,” you add, a grin breaking through your composure.
“It was,” she admits, a quiet laugh escaping her. But her smile lingers, her eyes meeting yours with something deeper—a shared understanding, a recognition of how far you’ve come.
You reach into your pocket, the small velvet box heavy against your palm. This isn’t impulsive; you’ve rehearsed this moment in your head a hundred times. But no amount of planning can prepare you for the way her gaze shifts, the subtle widening of her eyes as she begins to realise what’s happening.
Look,” you start, your voice a little rougher than you intended, “I’m not great at this stuff. You know that. But I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and… here we are”
Her eyes flick to the box before you’ve even opened it, and she straightens slightly, her breath catching just enough for you to notice.
“This place—it’s where we met. It’s where all of this started. And I figured, if I’m going to do something as ridiculous as this…” You flip the box open, revealing the ring. The diamond catches the last of the light, though it feels absurdly shiny for how grounded she is. “…then I should at least do it here”
She blinks, her lips parting as though she’s about to speak, but she doesn’t. So you keep going.
“I love you,” you say, the words blunt, unembellished. “You already know that. And I don’t think there’s a version of my life that makes sense without you in it. So… will you marry me?”
For a second, there’s nothing but the sound of the wind skimming over the turf. Then she steps forward, the corners of her mouth tugging up into a grin so wide it’s almost smug.
“Yes,” she says simply, as though the answer was never in doubt.
Your hands are steady as you slide the ring onto her finger, the weight of the moment settling between you like a tangible force. She steps closer, her arms wrapping around your waist, her face pressing into your shoulder.
“I can’t believe you brought me here,” she murmurs, her voice thick with emotion.
“It felt right,” you reply, your hand brushing over her hair. “It’s always been you, Alexia”

THIS!!!
Most every fanfic is a labor of love and at it's core - art for the sake of art. NOBODY IS MAKING MONEY OFF IT! (Not to mention - it would be illegal if they did.)
So every time a fic writer chooses to share a story, we are serving our hearts on a silver platter, crossing our fingers and hoping and wishing on a star that we've impacted someone with our words in some way, shape, or form.
Reviews, kudos, etc are our only currency and it makes our day brighter knowing we've possibly made yours a little brighter too -simple as that.
I've been a fic writer since the mid-2010s and it's crazy how steep the decline in fandom engagement has been in recent years. Yes - there's going to be a natural decline when a show goes off the air and people move on to other things, but plenty of shows are finding new audiences in the streaming era. As for my fandom - I've seen a large influx of new fans, but the people who still consistently comment on my stories are mostly people who were around back in the day. Pretty sure the majority of my stalwart reviewers are over the age of 40 or just retired. I love them dearly, of course, but it seems to be a case of not much new blood.
I think there's also a larger issue and conversation to be had about fandom community practices eroding in general (rise of individualism, late-stage capitalism, etc), but from what I've witnessed, it's also because a lot of modern fans spend more time and energy locked in fandom wars, ranking characters and pitting them against each other, trying to prove their show is the best and least problematic, rather than engaging positively in the very fandom they're trying so hard to defend.
So maybe instead of picking up the proverbial sword, people can look to their left and right and see there's plenty of love to go around, whether it's creating fan art and edits, sharing fics and opinions about their favorite episodes, posting silly memes, or adding funny tags to a gifset - everyone's just seeking a little human connection in a world that's rapidly losing its humanity.
And for the love of God -
Tumblr media
A writer friend told me something that broke my heart a little bit today; they're going to quit publishing their fanfic.
My instant thought was that they had been trolled or attacked or that something terrible had happened in their life because this person is so passionate about their writing. It wasn't any of that. Engagement with their works has been going down, as it has for many of us. Comments are like gold dust a lot of the time, and just looking through the historical comment counts on old fics on ao3 demonstrates this trend very clearly. It was not simply the comments dropping off which caused them to decide to stop posting, however.
My friend came across a discord server for their fandom (I should point out here that their fandom interest and mine diverged a couple of years ago, we stay in touch but don't currently read each other's posts because I'm not into their fandom and they would rather gouge their eyes out with a wooden spoon than read anything Star Wars) and specifically to share fic in that fandom. They joined, because we all love a good fic rec, only to discover that their latest multichapter fic, which has almost no comments and very few kudos, is being hotly discussed in this server as one of the best stories ever. Not one of these people has bothered to say this to them on the fic. When they asked, none of participants could see the point in telling the author of the fic they apparently loved so much that they love it.
This discovery has absolutely destroyed my friend's love of sharing fic. They share because they love seeing other people's enjoyment, and fic writers do that through comments and kudos/reblogs/likes because we don't get paid. There is no literary critic writing a blog post/article about how amazing the story is for us to copy and keep/frame. There is no money from royalties. All we have are the words of the people reading our works.
Those people on that server could have taken five minutes of the time they spent gushing about how amazing my friend's story was to other people and used it to tell the one person guaranteed to want to hear that praise how much they loved it. They could have taken a moment to express their opinion to the person who spent hours upon hours plotting, writing, editing, and posting those chapters. Instead, they deprived my friend of thing that keeps them sharing their writing, and in the process have killed their love of it. My friend now feels used and unmotivated.
I won't be sharing a link to their fic, they said I could share their experience but not their identity. I know they plan to post one final chapter. I know they intend to express their hurt at being excluded from the praise for the thing they created, and I know they intend to announce that as a consequence they will not be posting for a long while, if at all.
So please, I beg you, don't hide your love of a story from the writer. It's just about the only thing we have.

Love and Obsession: The Tim Drake Way
Everyone in the Batfamily knows Tim Drake has… issues with boundaries. They’ve spent years trying to teach him what’s appropriate and what’s—well—deeply unsettling and completely invasive. To be fair, he’s learned. Mostly. He doesn’t stalk his family anymore (much), and he no longer pulls up files on every single person they talk to (okay, maybe just sometimes). But it’s progress.
But then Tim starts dating Danny Fenton. And, oh boy, a few screws come loose.
It starts small, as always. Just little things. Tim’s a detective, after all—background checks are second nature. Danny’s living in Gotham, and Gotham isn’t safe. So, really, what’s the harm in knowing a little more about Danny’s friends? And his professors? And maybe also his classmates? It’s just standard protocol. Okay?
“Tim, you’ve run a full dossier on my entire biology class?” Danny asks one day, laughing as he flips through a file on the coffee table. Tim shrugs. “What if one of them is dangerous?” “Pretty sure the most dangerous thing in that class is the midterm.”
Danny doesn’t think much of it. He’s a little flattered, even. Tim’s protective. It’s sweet.
But Tim’s mind doesn’t stop there. Danny’s too handsome. Too charming. What if someone tries to hurt him? What if someone tries to take him away? It’s not obsessive—it’s just concern. So, a tracker on Danny’s phone? Necessary. Cameras in his apartment? Standard. Monitoring his sleeping patterns and hangout spots? Logical.
Tim tells himself it’s love. And maybe a little insecurity.
“You have a tracker on his phone?” Dick asks, trying not to sound alarmed. Tim nods, like it’s the most normal thing in the world. “Of course. What if something happens to him?” “And the cameras?” “Safety.” “The background checks on his professors?” “Gotham U isn’t exactly known for its stellar staff, Dick.”
It doesn’t stop there. Tim knows everything. Danny’s eating habits, his favorite places to go when he’s stressed, his childhood allergies. Tim’s mapped out Danny’s entire life. He knows about Danny’s ghost powers too—of course he does. He’s Tim Drake. The moment he realized Danny was Phantom, it just… clicked.
Danny being half-ghost? That’s just one more reason to worry. Tim’s up late at night, watching for any signs of ectoplasmic interference. He tracks the energy spikes. He monitors Danny’s fights.
He doesn’t think Danny knows. He’s terrified of what will happen if he finds out.
But then he does.
One evening, Danny walks into Tim’s apartment and casually drops a folder on the table. Tim’s heart stops.
“What’s this?” Danny asks, raising an eyebrow. Tim swallows hard. “I… it’s just…” “You’ve been tracking me?” Danny opens the file, glancing through pages of surveillance reports, background checks, even analysis of his ectoplasmic energy. Tim feels like his world is about to shatter.
“I… I can explain,” Tim says, his voice tight. “I’m just… worried about you. You’re in danger all the time, and I—” Danny walks over, cupping Tim’s face in his hands. Tim braces for the worst.
But Danny just smiles. “Can I put a tracker on you too?”
Tim blinks. “What?” Danny kisses his cheek. “If you’re watching my back, it’s only fair I watch yours. I need to make sure you’re safe too.”
Tim stares at him, speechless. Danny doesn’t look scared. Or angry. He looks… fond. Like Tim’s obsessive tendencies aren’t a problem at all.
“I’ve never had someone care about me this much,” Danny says softly. “I trust you with my life, Tim. This? This just proves how serious you are.”
Tim thinks he’s just fallen deeper in love.
-------------------
The Batfamily? They’re worried.
Jason corners Tim in the cave. “Okay, so let me get this straight. You’ve got cameras in his apartment. You’ve mapped out his entire life. You’ve got a tracker on him and a heartbeat monitor. And he’s… fine with it?” Tim nods, a dreamy smile on his face. “Yeah. He even wants to put a tracker on me.” “That’s not… healthy, Tim,” Dick says carefully. “That’s—” “It’s mutual,” Tim interrupts. “We’re protecting each other.”
Bruce pinches the bridge of his nose. “Tim, this isn’t how relationships are supposed to work.” Tim shrugs. “It’s how ours works.”
Damian watches the whole thing with narrowed eyes. “This is deeply unsettling,” he mutters.
They try to talk to Danny. Intervention style. They invite him over, sit him down, and gently (or not so gently) try to explain that Tim’s behavior isn’t normal.
Danny just laughs. “You guys do know I’m half-ghost, right?” “That doesn’t mean—” Dick starts. “I spent my entire life being hunted by ghost hunters. I’ve had worse invasions of privacy.” Danny smiles. “Tim cares. He keeps me safe. That’s all I need.”
The bats don't quite know what to say.
-------------------
Tim and Danny, two slightly unhinged souls who think mutual surveillance is the ultimate act of love.
The bats? They’re just trying to keep up.
(“At least they’re happy?” Barbara offers weakly. Bruce sighs. “For now.”)
Gotham’s version of love was never going to be normal. But this? This is a whole new level.

The Destructive Character
by Walter Benjamin
It could happen to someone looking back over his life that he realized that almost all the deeper obligations he had endured in its course originated in people who everyone agreed had the traits of a “destructive character.” He would stumble on this fact one day, perhaps by chance, and the heavier the shock dealt to him, the better his chances of representing the destructive character.
The destructive character knows only one watchword: make room. And only one activity: clearing away. His need for fresh air and open space is stronger than any hatred.
The destructive character is young and cheerful. For destroying rejuvenate, because it clears away the traces of our own age; it cheers, because everything cleared away means to the destroyer a complete reduction, indeed a rooting out, out of his own condition. Really, only the insight into how radically the world is simplified when tested for its worthiness for destruction leads to such an Apollonian image of the destroyer. This is the great bond embracing and unifying all that exists. It is a sight that affords the destructive character a spectacle of deepest harmony.
The destructive character is always blithely at work. It is Nature that dictates his tempo, indirectly at least, for he must forestall her. Otherwise she will take over the destruction herself.
The destructive character sees no image hovering before him. He has few needs, and the least of them is to know what will replace what has been destroyed. First of all, for a moment at least, empty space – the place where thing stood or the victim lived. Someone is sure to be found who needs this space without occupying it.
The destructive character does his work; the only work he avoids is creative. Just as the creator seeks solitude, the destroyer must be constantly surrounded by people, witnesses to his efficacy.
The destructive character is a signal. Just a trigonometric sign is exposed on all sides to the wind, so he is exposed to idle talk. To protect him from it is pointless.
The destructive character has no interest in being understood. Attempts in this direction he regards as superficial. Being misunderstood cannot harm him. On the contrary, he provokes it, just as oracles, those destructive institutions of the state, provoked it. The most petty bourgeois of all phenomena, gossip, comes about only because people do not wish to be misunderstood. The destructive character tolerates misunderstanding; he does not promote gossip.
The destructive character is the enemy of the étui-man. The étui-man looks for comfort, and the case is its quintessence. The inside of the case is the velvet-lined trace that he has imprinted on the world. The destructive character obliterates even the traces of destruction.
The destructive character stands in the front line of traditionalists. Some people pass things down to posterity, by making them untouchable and thus conserving them; others pass on situations, by making them practicable and thus liquidating them. The latter are called the destructive.
The destructive character has the consciousness of historical man, whose deepest emotion is an insuperable mistrust of the course of things and a readiness at all times to recognize that everything can go wrong. Therefore, the destructive character is reliability itself.
The destructive character sees nothing permanent. But for this very reason he sees ways everywhere. Where others encounter walls or mountains, there, too, he sees a way. But because he sees a way everywhere, he has to clear things from it everywhere. Not always by brute force; sometimes by the most refined. Because he sees ways everywhere, he always stands at a crossroads. No moment can know what the next will bring. What exists he reduces to rubble – not for the sake of rubble, but for that of the way leading through it.
The destructive character lives from the feeling not that life is worthing living, but that suicide is not worth the trouble.

Friday Thoughts
Chapter 1
Pairing: Agatha Harkness x Reader
Summary: You’re just a babysitter trying to make ends meet, looking after the sweetest, most curious kid you’ve ever met. His mom? Oh, she’s no big deal. Just a drop-dead gorgeous, double your age, intimidatingly rich, wildly out-of-your-league enigma, with a voice like velvet and a smirk that could ruin lives.

Four months. That’s how long it’s been since you stepped into the quiet, modern house nestled at the end of a well-kept street. Four months since you met Nicholas, bright-eyed and full of questions, the kind of kid who could win over even the most reluctant babysitter. And four months since you met his mother, Agatha Harkness.
Agatha had been polite, professional, and just distant enough to make her presence intoxicating. At first, you told yourself it was nothing, just admiration for someone so self-assured, so obviously in control of her world. But as the weeks passed, admiration turned into fascination, and fascination into a quiet, gnawing ache you couldn’t shake.
It wasn’t as if the two of you shared many conversations. Agatha kept things brief—efficient, almost clinical. A quick rundown of Nicholas’ dinner preferences and bedtime routine, a reminder to call if anything urgent came up. She never offered more than the bare minimum needed to keep things running smoothly, yet her presence made every exchange feel heavier than it should.
You tried not to think about her too much. Tried to focus on Nicholas, the job, anything else. But ignoring Agatha Harkness was like trying to ignore gravity - inescapable, pulling you in whether you wanted it or not.
It wasn’t just her appearance - though that certainly didn’t help - it was the way she occupied space, commanding attention without effort. The way her gaze would flick to you, sharp and assessing, like she was filing away every detail for later consideration.
And when she left… she didn’t just leave. She left behind. The faint scent of her perfume, rich and warm, clinging to the air long after the door had closed behind her. The lingering echo of her voice, low and smooth, a melody that at times could feel almost too calculated to be accidental.
You told yourself it was nothing. Just a natural reaction to being around someone like her: refined, confident, and utterly out of reach. But the longer you spent in her home, the harder it became to convince yourself of that, especially when so much about her remained shrouded in mystery.
You had no idea what she did for a living, only that it involved late-night calls, countless virtual meetings, a constant stream of emails at all hours, and events that demanded an air of authority as much as they did elegance.
She was always impeccably dressed, whether she was working from home or heading out for an event: power suits tailored to perfection, silk shirts and blouses that radiated precision as sharp as the cut of her blazers, and fitted dresses that looked like they belonged on the cover of a magazine.
She exuded the kind of confidence that made you certain she held a position of influence, something important, something that carried weight. CEO, maybe? Or some high-ranking executive? It would explain the polished demeanor, the frustration that would sometimes edge into her voice during a call you definitely  weren’t meant to overhear, and the meticulous organization of her home office.
Then again, she had an air of mystery that didn’t quite fit neatly into the corporate box. She was decisive, yes, but there was something else beneath it, something restrained, like she was only showing a fraction of what she was truly capable of.
You didn’t even know Agatha’s exact age. There were old photos scattered around the house, most of them of Nicholas as a baby, a few of her alongside Rio, her ex-wife. You’d caught glimpses of them during one of Nicholas’ enthusiastic storytelling tangents, the kind of childlike recounting that brought those still frames to life. Rio looked noticeably younger in the pictures, which only deepened the intrigue surrounding Agatha. How old was she? Late forties? Early fifties?
Not that it mattered, or at least… it shouldn’t have. But the more time you spent in her orbit, the harder it became to ignore just how much space she occupied in your thoughts. It was unprofessional, irrational, and entirely out of your control, as if every little detail about her demanded a corner of your attention whether you wanted it to or not.
The first time you met, you’d thought she was intimidating. There was something about the sharpness in her gaze, the way she seemed to size you up as if you were being evaluated for a job far more critical than babysitting.
You’d left the interview certain she didn’t think much of you. But then she’d hired you.
To be fair, you hadn’t exactly taken the job because of your love for children. Babysitting seemed like an easy way to make some extra cash while juggling your morning part-time job. You hadn’t expected to enjoy it, much less grow attached to Nicholas.
But Nicholas wasn’t like other kids. He was curious, creative, and so full of energy that you couldn’t help but be drawn in. He’d ask you about your favorite books, try to teach you the names of constellations from his room, and once insisted on making you a friendship bracelet out of beads and string.
And then there were the quieter moments. Like the time he’d curled up beside you on the couch after a rough day at school, falling asleep mid-sentence while you read his favorite book. Or the time he’d asked, out of the blue, “Do you think my mom gets lonely when I’m at school?”.
You hadn’t known how to answer that one.
Nicholas made the job feel… easy. Comforting, even. But his mother? She made it kind of impossible.
Every time you walked into her home, you’d feel her presence. Not physically, she was rarely around long enough for that, but in the little things she left behind, subtle markers of her existence woven into the very own fabric of the house.
The low hum of her voice drifting from the upstairs study during late-night calls, words too muffled to make out but carrying a cadence of control that made you pause, just to listen. The faint impression of her meticulousness in the perfectly aligned cushions on the couch, the neatly stacked mail on the counter, the absence of even a stray sock or misplaced book.
Then there was the way her heels clicked against the floor when she came downstairs, the sound crisp yet unhurried. She didn’t rush, Agatha Harkness was not the kind of person who rushed. Her movements seemed to shape the rhythm of the house itself, setting a quiet standard for everything and everyone in her space.
Soon, you began picking up on details you had no business noticing. Small, fleeting moments that clung to the edges of your thoughts like whispers you couldn’t quite ignore. Like, the slight smirk she gave when Nicholas said something clever, a mixture of pride and amusement softening her features. Or the way she adjusted her hair when she was stressed, tucking loose strands behind her ear with a practiced motion, revealing the elegant curve of her neck.
And then there were the more unconscious gestures, each one driving you wild in its own very excruciating way. The quiet rhythm of her foot tapping against the kitchen floor when she sipped her coffee between meetings. The faint click of her tongue against her lips when Nicholas tested her patience, a subtle attempt to hold back words she clearly wanted to let loose. The way she stood when she was lost in thought, her arms loosely crossed as one finger absently brushed against her lips, almost as if she was tasting the edge of an unspoken idea.
And her laugh. God, her laugh. It wasn’t often that Nicholas managed to coax it out of her, but when he did, it was warm and rich, a sound that lingered long after she left the room.
Everything about her seemed carefully curated, controlled at all times. And yet, in those instants, you saw something else. A woman who, despite all her poise and precision, carried the weight of something she never let anyone else see.
You weren’t supposed to think about her like this. Not when she was the mother of the child you babysat. Not when every interaction with her reminded you of just how far apart your worlds were. Not when she was so far out of your league, it was laughable.
She is older, accomplished, and entirely unattainable. The kind of woman who probably spends her evenings at upscale dinners or in rooms filled with people who match her level of sophistication. Women who are successful, and as captivating as she is, people she could meet as equals.
And who are you? Someone who stumbles over your words if she so much as glances your way for too long. Someone whose idea of ambition is stringing together part-time jobs to pay the bills.
It isn’t just that she is out of your league, it’s like she is playing a completely different game.
But that didn’t stop your mind from wandering.
You knew it was ridiculous to even entertain the idea of her seeing you as anything more than a babysitter. And yet, in the quiet moments, when her voice lingered in your head or her laugh replayed itself unbidden, the thought of her crept in, no matter how hard you tried to push it away.
It didn’t help that most of the nights you were working at her house were predictable, almost comforting in their routine: dinner, homework, reading or watching a movie with Nicholas. A lovely rhythm, easy and unassuming.
Except for Fridays.
Fridays were different. Fridays were harder. Fridays were the nights when Agatha didn’t stay holed up in her study, immersed in work or late-night calls. No, she would step out in one of her perfectly tailored outfits, leaving behind a quiet hum in the air, like the house itself was holding its breath in her absence.
And like clockwork, every Friday night, when she walked out the door, you’d find yourself wondering. Where was she going? Who was she meeting? What would it be like to occupy even a fraction of her time? Did she let others see pieces of herself you’d only glimpsed in passing? Did she laugh with them the way she sometimes laughed with Nicholas?
The questions gnawed at you in ways you hated to admit, piling up in your mind uninvited and unrelenting, until all you could do was let them sit there, unanswered and far beyond your reach.
“Get a grip.” you mutter to yourself as you approach the house, tugging your hoodie tighter against the evening chill. But you can’t shake the feeling that this Friday, like all the others, will leave you tangled in questions you have no right to ask, about a life that’s so close yet impossibly far away.
When you reach the door, you pause, taking a breath to steady yourself. You knock and when Agatha opens the door, you momentarily forget how to breathe.
She stands before you in a deep navy suit, the tailored jacket hugging her form perfectly, the sharp lines of her trousers elongating her already commanding presence. A delicate gold chain rests against her collarbone, catching the light every time she moves, and her fingers gleam with matching gold rings. Her hair is swept back, leaving a few strands to frame her face, and her pointy black heels click faintly as she steps aside to let you in.
“Evening, hon.” she greets, her voice a smooth hum that settles in the space between you like a low melody. Her gaze sweeps over you, unreadable as always, but you catch it - a flicker of something in the corner of her mouth, an almost-smile that makes your breath catch in your throat.
“Hi.” The word slips out, and you pray she doesn’t notice the slight quiver in your voice. You grip the strap of your backpack a little tighter, as if that will steady you.
Stepping inside and closing the door, you let the familiar warmth of the house wash over you, the faint sound of Nicholas’ laughter from the living room grounding you just enough. You focus on it, using the noise as a lifeline to ignore the way your pulse quickens in her presence.
Agatha moves toward the hall mirror, tilting her head as she checks her lipstick. The movement is casual, something you’ve seen her do countless times in the past months, and yet your eyes are drawn to her like a magnet.
“You know the drill.” she says suddenly, her voice breaking the silence and startling you just enough to snap your attention away. She doesn’t turn, her focus still on her reflection, but her tone commands yours. “Dinner’s already set out for Nicky, and he’s got homework to finish before he’s allowed any TV. I should be back around midnight, but call if you need anything.”
“Got it.” you nod quickly, keeping your response as short as possibile, not fully trusting your voice.
As she turns to reach for her bag, your ‘Friday thoughts’ spill out right on time, tumbling over themselves in a chaotic rush you can’t seem to contain. Your weekly ritual of overthinking, courtesy of one Agatha Harkness.
Where is she going tonight? Another date? She has to be dating. It would explain the Friday nights routine, the flawless outfits, the faint whiff of perfume that lingers long after she leaves. Nobody has ever come home with her or even close to the house in the past months. Does that mean the dates go poorly? Does she cut them short, brushing the other person off with the same composed finality she seems to apply to everything else? Would she even bring someone back here?
Probably not. No, if anything, she’d go to their place. Some immaculate apartment, probably, with clean lines and expensive furniture. Somewhere she could walk in, take control, and leave just as effortlessly when she wanted to.
You shake your head, trying to banish the images from your mind. They always feel so intrusive, like you’re stepping into corners of her life you have no right to imagine.
Agatha’s voice breaks the silence once again, pulling you out of your spiraling thoughts.
“Don’t let him con you into staying up late.” she says, a playful lilt in her tone as she heads toward the door.
Your lips curve in a faint smile as you manage a reply, your voice steadier than you expect. “I’m not so easily corrupted, you know.”
She pauses in the doorway and turns back slightly, her gaze fixated on yours not long enough to offer answers, but just enough to stir more questions.
And then, she’s gone. The front door clicking shut and the soft echo of her heels fading into the night feeling so anticlimactic compared to the storm she leaves behind in your head. You stand there for a moment, staring at the door.
What is it about her that makes you care so much? Why does she take up so much space in your mind when you know, deep down, that you’re nothing more than the babysitter?
But even that thought doesn’t hold. If you’re just the babysitter, then why does her gaze linger more now than it did in the beginning, like a challenge, like she’s daring you to figure her out? Why does it feel like the tension between you has been building over the weeks, simmering beneath the surface, a game you don’t fully understand but can’t help wanting to play?
And why, in those moments, does it feel like she’s not just looking at you, but through you, as if she’s started seeing pieces of you that even you aren’t ready to admit?
It wasn’t always like this. At first, her attention felt brief, almost incidental - a fleeting glance here, a curt smile there. But now, there’s something deliberate about it, something that leaves you questioning everything every time you’re near her.
But that’s all it is: questions. Never answers. And it’s maddening.
The hours pass quietly after Agatha leaves. Nicholas breezes through his homework with minimal resistance, though not without a few dramatic groans and exaggerated complaints. Dinner is uneventful, save for a minor debate over whether carrots are better raw or roasted.
By the time the clock strikes nine, Nicholas is sprawled on the couch beside you, his favorite blanket draped haphazardly across both of you. He’s already halfway to sleep, eyelids fluttering as he fights the inevitable.
“One more movie.” he murmurs, his voice soft and drowsy. “I promise I’ll go to bed right after.”
You tilt your head, arching an eyebrow as you shoot him a skeptical look, the kind of look you’ve perfected over the months, the one that makes him squirm just enough to admit he’s pushing his luck.
He flashes a sheepish grin, clutching the blanket tighter.
You shake your head but don’t press the matter, reaching for the remote to start the movie. He inches closer as it plays on, the way he always does when he’s tired but too stubborn to admit it. You feel the weight of his trust in the quiet way he settles, his breathing growing slower, his eyes fluttering closed more often than they stay open.
As minutes pass, Nicholas’ resolve doesn’t hold. Not even halfway through, his head tips against your arm, his breathing evening out into the quiet rhythm of sleep.
You glance down at him, his small frame curled against your side, and a wave of warmth washes over you at the sight. With a quiet sigh, you adjust slightly, sliding an arm around him. He leans into you instinctively, his trust so natural it tugs at something deep within you. A faint smile touches your lips as you shift your gaze back to the screen.
But your attention falters. The soft hum of the house, the rhythmic flicker of light from the TV, and the quiet cadence of Nicholas’ steady breathing create a cocoon of calm. The atmosphere wraps around you, soothing and lulling, until your eyelids grow heavier with each passing moment.
You try to resist, telling yourself you’ll move in just a minute, maybe two. But before you know it, sleep creeps in.
The soft click of the front door opening stirs you awake a couple of hours later.
For a moment, you lie frozen, still caught between sleep and wakefulness. Then, the faint sound of heels clicking on the floor reaches your ears, steady and unhurried, until Agatha steps into view.
Her suit only slightly rumpled and her hair just a little out of place, as the tired look in her eyes shifts to something softer when she takes in the scene before her.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” she mutters, though her voice carries more amusement than irritation.
You blink, sitting up carefully to avoid jostling Nicholas. “I, uh… he insisted on watching the movie, and I guess…” You trail off, gesturing vaguely at the blanket.
Her lips twitch, hovering on the edge of a smile. “So much for not being so easily corrupted.”
You let out a soft laugh, brushing a hand over the blanket. “I’d say I wasn’t corrupted, I was just… strategically outplayed.”
Agatha lets out a playful scoff before her gaze flicks back to Nicholas, and for a moment, something in her demeanor shifts. The dim light of the living room catches her profile, tracing the delicate lines of her features, fleeting but unmistakably tender.
She crosses the room and kneels beside the couch. With a soft touch, she brushes a hand over Nicholas’ shoulder, murmuring his name in a low, soothing tone until his eyes flutter open. Groggy but obedient, he reaches for her hand, and she helps him to his feet.
You hover awkwardly by the couch, unsure whether to follow or retreat. But when Agatha rises and leads Nicholas toward the stairs, you find yourself trailing behind them instinctively. Agatha walks beside her son, her hand lightly resting on his back, steadying him as he shuffles up the steps rubbing his sleepy eyes.
At the top of the stairs, she pauses in front of his bedroom, guiding him inside. You standing awkwardly by the doorway, caught between the pull of the moment and the nagging sense that you’re intruding on something sacred, watching as she tucks him in.
When Agatha finally steps back, she lets out a quiet sigh, brushing her hand across her son’s hair one last time. She moves toward you without looking, gently nudging the door closed behind her with the faintest click.
For a moment, the two of you remain in the hallway, the silence between you heavy but not uncomfortable. It gives you just enough time to glance down at yourself.
Comfy sweatpants, an oversized hoodie, and the faintest smudge of Nicholas’ dinner on your sleeve - a smudge you hadn’t noticed until now. It’s not awful, not disheveled, but standing next to her, you feel like a rough pencil sketch beside a masterpiece.
There’s no denying it, the gap between you. She’s poised in a way that seems effortless, innate. There’s this weight to her sophistication, not showy but intrinsic, as if it’s simply woven into the fabric of who she is.
It makes you feel impossibly small. A painful reminder that she’s untouchable, a fantasy so far out of reach it feels foolish to even consider.
Agatha leans lightly against the wall, her arms crossing in a way that feels unhurried, almost lazy, a stark contrast to the usual precision she carries herself with. Yet even in this quiet repose, she doesn’t lose an ounce of her commanding presence.
She exhales softly, a subtle sound that fully draws your attention. It’s like she’s letting go of the weight of the night piece by piece, and it feels oddly grounding, a rare glimpse into something unspoken.
“Long day?” you ask breaking the silence, your voice quieter than you intend, almost hesitant.
At the sound, her eyes snap up to meet yours, a flicker of surprise crossing her face as if she’d forgotten you were there. It’s fleeting, quickly masked by a practiced neutrality, but for that brief moment, she looks almost caught off guard, as though your presence is something she hadn’t actually accounted for.
“Longer than it was worth.” she replies, her tone low and even.
You hesitate as the air between you grows thick, pressing down on your chest until, before you can stop yourself, the words slip out.
“Bad date?” they tumble from your lips unbidden, and the moment they’re out, your heart lodges itself firmly in your throat.
For a moment, the hallway feels suspended in time, her gaze locking onto yours with an intensity that has your pulse pounding in your ears. Agatha tilts her head slightly, her eyebrow arching as she studies you, the corner of her lips curving upward - not quite a smile, more a deliberate flicker of amusement.
“Bold of you to assume it was a date.” she says, her voice low and tinged with intrigue, as if daring you to explain yourself.
Your cheeks burn, but you can’t backpedal now. “I mean—it’s Friday, and you looked so—uh, dressed up…”
“Careful, hon.” she interrupts smoothly, her tone laced with teasing. “Flattery will only get you so far.”
You swallow hard, suddenly hyperaware of how her perfume lingers faintly in the air between you. “I wasn’t—I mean, I didn’t mean to—”
Agatha cuts you off with a low, rich laugh, the sound curling around you like smoke, warm and unshakable. It’s the kind of laugh that feels like a statement, as though she knows exactly how flustered she’s made you and isn’t above enjoying it.
She doesn’t say a word, but her gaze stays on you for just a beat longer than necessary, her eyes catching yours in a way that feels way too deliberate. Then, with a grace so effortless it almost feels unfair, she pushes off the wall, brushing past you as she moves downstairs.
You linger for a moment in the hallway, trying to steady your breath after the quiet intensity of the exchange. But when you finally descend the stairs, the soft clink of glass pulls your attention to the kitchen.
That’s exactly where you find Agatha, illuminated by the soft glow of the light above the sink. She’s holding a glass of red wine in one hand, her other arm braced casually on the countertop.
Once again, you find yourself hesitatingly watching her from the doorway. Your gaze settles on her hand, on the way the graceful tilt of her wrist makes the wine swirl in the glass.
“Done sneaking around?” she teases without turning to look at you, her tone low and laced with  amusement.
Your cheeks flush, and you step into the kitchen, fumbling for an excuse. “I wasn’t sneaking. I just- wanted to say goodnight before I left.”
She finally turns upon hearing your voice, her eyes catching yours with unsettling ease as she leans lazily against the counter, the glass cradled in her hand. “Isn’t that sweet.” she murmurs, her tone softer, thoughtful. “Almost as sweet as falling asleep on the couch with Nicky.”
Your heart skips a beat.
“It—it wasn’t—” you stammer, trying desperately to find your footing. “He was tired, and I guess I was too. It just… happened.”
Her lips curl into the faintest smile, and she takes a slow sip of her wine, her eyes never leaving yours. “No need to be so defensive.” she says, her voice dipping into something almost indulgent. “It’s a good thing. You’re great with him. Not everyone would be.”
The compliment strikes you square in the chest, and for a second, your brain struggles to process it. Your heart pounds so loudly you’re certain she must hear it. You open your mouth to say something, anything, but your words dissolve under the weight of her gaze. It’s calm and far too knowing for your liking, like she’s pulling apart every layer of you with ease.
And then, just as you think the moment can’t possibly get any more overwhelming, she does something that makes your thoughts screech to a halt.
Her tongue flicks over her bottom lip, unhurried and purposeful, as if savoring the last lingering taste of the wine. It’s a fleeting gesture, but one that feels maddeningly intentional, and the way her eyes darken as they hold yours sends a jolt of electricity straight through you.
As if perfectly aware of the effect she’s having on you, her expression shifts. Mischief crosses her features, the corner of her mouth tilting upward in a way that feels more dangerous than playful.
“Maybe” she says, her tone low, teasing, and just a touch too intimate “I should ask you out next Friday.”
The words land like a thunderclap. Your jaw slackens, your brain completely short-circuits, and you’re sure you’ve just imagined it. There’s no way she just said that.
“I—what?” you manage to stammer, your voice barely a whisper, your pulse now hammering in your ears to the point you fear you’ll grow deaf because of it.
Agatha tilts her head, her expression the picture of innocence, though the gleam in her eyes betrays her. “What?” she echoes, as though she has no idea why you’re reacting this way, casually swirling the wine in her glass like she hasn’t just flipped your entire world upside down.
You blink at her, your thoughts spiraling in every possible direction. There’s no way she means it. It’s a joke. It has to be a joke. But the way her eyes hold yours, the subtle curve of her lips, the raw energy she’s exuding - it all feels so charged, that you can’t help but question everything.
Your breath catches again as her smile deepens, and for a moment, you think she might actually say something else, something that’ll either clarify or completely unravel you.
But instead, she leans back against the counter, watching you with an expression that’s equal parts amusement and intrigue, like she’s waiting to see what you’ll do next.
You can’t move. You can’t think. All you can do is stand there, your thoughts looping in an endless cycle of ‘What just happened? Did I imagine that? What does she mean?’.
“I should, uh… go.” you finally mumble, retreating toward the door as your brain struggles to keep up with your body.
“Of course.” she says smoothly, her tone as composed as ever. And then, as you reach the door, she adds, “Early shift tomorrow, right? Seven, if I’m not mistaken.”
You freeze, your hand on the doorknob, and glance back at her. “How did you—?”
“You mentioned it once, a couple of months ago.” she replies casually, as if it’s the most natural thing in the world. “I tend to remember things like that.”
Her gaze lingers just long enough to make your pulse spike up once again before she finally looks away, taking another sip of her wine. “Goodnight, hon.”
You barely even register the door clicking shut behind you. The night air greets you like a slap, cool against your flushed cheeks, but it does absolutely nothing to steady the whirlwind of emotions spiraling inside you. Your feet carry you forward on instinct, each step heavier than the last as her words loop endlessly in your head.
Maybe I should ask you out next Friday.
The sentence hits like a gong, reverberating through your entire body. She remembered your schedule. Not just vaguely, she knew the exact time your shift starts. And then she said… that.
Was it a joke? A casual tease? A test? A mistake? Was she - no, she didn’t seem drunk.
Your steps quicken, as if you can somehow outrun the storm in your mind, but it’s a losing battle. The echoes of her voice, the deliberate flicker in her gaze, the way she’d licked her lip like she knew exactly what it would do to you. It’s all still there, clinging to you like a second skin.
You stop dead in the middle of the sidewalk, pressing both hands to your head like you can physically stop the spiral. “Nope. Nope. Nope. That did not just happen.” you mutter, your voice growing louder with every word as if volume alone will make it less real. “She’s messing with me. She has to be messing with me.”
But even as you say it, doubt creeps in. You’d thought that before, but it couldn’t all be in your head, could it?
Your hands drop, and you stare blankly at the street ahead, your mind flitting through every possible explanation like a detective unraveling a conspiracy.
‘Ok, so she’s teasing me. No, she’s testing me. No—oh God, what if she’s just bored? What if I’m like, some kind of entertainment for her?’
And then, the most dangerous thought of all slinks into view, unbidden and relentless.
‘What if she wasn’t joking?’
Your knees nearly buckle at the thought, and you force yourself to keep walking, shaking your head like you can physically dislodge the idea.
By the time you reach your door, your heart is still pounding, your face still burning, and your thoughts are definitely still stuck in an endless loop of ‘what the actual fuck just happened?’.
You step inside, kicking the door shut behind you with a quiet thud. The thought of changing or even turning on the lights feels like too much effort, so you head straight to your room. Dropping your bag by the door, you collapse onto the bed face-first, muffling a groan into your pillow.
You let out a long sigh, turning your head just enough to breathe as the pillow muffles the rest of your thoughts. Your body sinks into the mattress, heavy with exhaustion, but your mind refuses to quiet down.
You close your eyes, willing the tension to drain from your shoulders. The weight of her words, of her gaze, of all of the questions. You just want sleep to come quickly and take it all away.
And somehow, after a few restless minutes, it does.

Kinkcember Day 2: Stepcest
Tumblr media
Day 2 is time to get a little kinky by keeping it in the family.
Length 2K
Jeewon X Mreader
“Do you really have to go?”
“Yep, duty calls!” Eunbi chirped as she packed clothes away in her suitcase. “It won’t be so long this time, just a month. Acting is hard work.”
“I know it is, but still, can’t you do something closer to home?” You said, growing tired of Eunbi’s constant trips. “Since we got married, we’ve barely been able to spend time together. I rarely see you these days. I get, maybe, a month if I’m lucky. ”
Eunbi puts her clothes down and turns around, cupping your cheeks, “I know it’s hard for you, it’s hard for me too, but I’m finally getting recognition for my work. Just bear with it a little longer, and in a few years, we’ll have all the time in the world.” You sigh, knowing that there was no convincing Eunbi.
She continues to pack her clothes as you head downstairs. You wait by the entrance for her, listening for the sounds of her suitcase slamming on the stairs. You hear the sounds soon enough, and you walk over to Eunbi, grabbing the suitcase from her hand and walking it down the rest of the way to the car. You open the back door to see your stepdaughter Jeewon already waiting there. “Occupied!” She chirps. You head to the trunk and place the suitcase there. The drive to the airport is relatively quiet and quick. Eunbi’s flight leaving early in the morning was one of the reasons for that. You set Eunbi’s suitcase on the sidewalk, and she quickly hugs you before walking into the airport.
“Don’t burn the house down while I’m gone!” She yells without turning around, her hand waving at you.
You wave goodbye to your wife as she leaves on another one of her business trips. “Bye, Mom!” Jeewon yells from the back seat. You roll up the window and begin driving home. Jeewon stares out the window for most of the ride home but leans forward between the front seats as you get closer to home. “So what are we going to do now that mommy is gone? I want to make a lot of memories with you, Daddy.” She says, running her hand down your arm.
“She’s gone on trips before; we’ll just do what we usually do.” Jeewon pouts and sits back in her seat, beginning her plan. You head inside with Jeewon walking a few steps behind you. She considers how she’ll go about things, thinking it would be better to tempt you first. As she walks into your home, she pulls out her phone, searching for clothes that would make you want her. She heads upstairs when an idea pops into her mind. It was summer; it would be natural for her to wear a bikini, considering the house had a pool. Jeewon spent hours searching for swimsuits before deciding on one that would be perfect for getting your attention. She chose a plain red micro bikini. It arrived early the next morning. Jeewon grabbed it the moment it arrived and put it on, looking at herself in the mirror, satisfied with the result.
The next morning you came out to the living room, spotting Jeewon’s head poking up from one of the lawn chairs. Hearing you open the door, Jeewon sits up, turning her head before standing. She moves quickly, causing her breasts to bounce in her swimsuit. You can’t help but stare at her. Jeewon smiles back, her hands together behind her back as she spins. The force causes her tits to spill out before she quickly covers her nipples back up with the small piece of fabric. “Daddy, do you like my swimsuit? It’s been pretty hot, so I thought I’d try it on. Do you like it?” Jeewon gives you a smirk as she asks the question. You just nod and head back inside. You were hard; you had just seen your stepdaughter's nipples spill out of her swimsuit. It was hard to get the image of her out of your head. She practically wasn’t wearing anything.
Once your back is to her, she frowns, disappointed that you didn’t say anything about her swimsuit. Seeing that it wasn’t enough to be in her swimsuit, Jeewon decided she would always wear more revealing clothes, switching her usual attire of sweats and oversized t-shirts to miniskirts and tiny crop tops. She walked around the house constantly, bending over often so you could catch a peek of her panties. Her smooth and pristine skin was there to tease you as she would slowly stand back up every time.
Days passed where Jeewon did this, slowly breaking you down; a couple of times, you were close to touching her, but you’d always pull away in the end.
It was hard to resist Jeewon; her well-endowed body made you hard, but she was your stepdaughter. You do your best, trying to look away when she bent over. Jeewon continued to pressure you; when you watched TV, she would put herself beside you, grabbing your arm and pressing it against her chest as she clung to you. It was worse now that Jeewon’s shirts barely covered her; a low neckline gave you a perfect view of her soft tits. “Daddy?” Jeewon whispers into your ear, the sweetness in her voice overwhelming. “I need you to check something for me,” Jeewon gently tugs at your wrist, bringing your hand up and between her breasts. “Is my heartbeat okay?” Your hand is on her tit, and you can’t help but instinctively squeeze. Jeewon purses her lips, holding back her moan as she feels your hand against her chest. She takes a step closer, pushing her tits to fit into your palm.
“J-Jeewon,” you stammer, struggling now that you’ve crossed a line.
“Daddy,” Jeewon moans as she grabs your other hand and places it on her other breast. She holds you there and stares into your eyes, “I want you,” she says softly. Something in you breaks as you grope her tits. Jeewon moans softly as you massage them.
The next thing you know, you find yourself on the couch with Jeewon, still playing with her tits, her hand on your cock, stroking you slowly. “You’re so big, Daddy,” she moans softly as she presses her chest against yours. Jeewon continues to hum as she runs her thumb around the head; her breathing is staggered. She finally has you in the palm of her hand.
Jeewon leans in closely and steals a kiss as you knead her breasts; she moans into the kiss and squeezes your cock gently, her hand continuing to move up and down your shaft. Precum flows onto her hand, bringing a smile to Jeewon’s lips. “Don’t hold back, Daddy. You can cum.” You struggle, trying to hold back from crossing another line, but Jeewon pushes you over the edge. Her slick hand glides along your cock, forcing you to cum on her. You see Jeewon’s smile grow as she continues to stroke you past your orgasm. She seems almost surprised, “You came so much,” She says excitedly before setting herself down on your lap, her cunt rubbing against your cock.
You feel her panties; they’re soaked with her nectar. She gently rubs herself against your cock, rocking her hips as she reaches for the bottom of her shirt. Jeewon teased you, tugging at it, making her breasts bounce in front of you. You don’t notice as you lick your lips, your eyes glued to your stepdaughter's chest. Jeewon bounces her breasts twice more before lifting her shirt and showing you her bare breasts. They bounce violently, crashing against each other before slowly settling down. “I massaged them every day to make them bigger for you.” The young woman holds her breasts up to you as if offering them. “Do you like them?” You gulp and nod along. “I knew you would. Here,” Jeewon presses her chest against your face, adjusting until you latch onto her nipple. Her breathy moans fill the room as your tongue hesitantly moves around her soft nub. You were losing your senses; Jeewon’s scent flooded your nose. You knew it was wrong, but you didn’t care much anymore.
This was it; this was what she wanted. Jeewon wrapped her arms around your head, letting your hands wander her body. She would give everything to have you. Jeewon dragged her nipple out of your mouth, “Pay attention to this one too,” she tells you, tracing your lips with the other one. You attach yourself to it, flicking the hard nub with your tongue, all while Jeewon continues to rub her cunt against your cock. “I want you,” she moans.
“Jeewon,”
“Mom is never around for you. I’ve seen how sad it makes you. Daddy, you have me, too. I’m a woman, too. Mommy doesn’t have to know. We can keep all this between us.” Jeewon replies. Jeewon slowly pulls away from you and takes your hand, pulling you toward her bedroom. She drops her skirt and panties on the floor. Crossing her arms under her chest, she waits for you. “I’m ready, Daddy,”
Approaching her slowly, you pull Jeewon closer to you, your cock rubbing against her stomach. She reaches around and hugs you before climbing into her bed and laying back. You strip down and look over your stepdaughter. In the back of your mind, you know it's wrong, but you’re too far gone to think about it consciously.
You spread her legs slowly and rub your cock against her needy cunt, leaning over her. You stare at your stepdaughter, taking in her body once more. Jeewon holds onto your shoulders as you sit at her entrance. “Please, Daddy,” she whispers. You move slowly, spreading her lips and pushing yourself inside her tight cunt. You both let out lengthy groans as you push more and more of your cock inside Jeewon, her walls holding you tightly as she grips your shoulders. “Ah, D-daddy, you’re so big,” She shuts her eyes and feels her body tense as she finally gets what she’s wanted.
As you bottom out, buried deep inside Jeewon, she cums, her small whines the only sound now as her walls clamp down around your cock. “Oh, Daddy, fuck me, please, fuck me.” She groans, not wanting you to find out she came. You pull out slowly, and once only the tip remains, you slam yourself back in, reveling in the pleasure. Your thrusts begin slow, but as you start to grow comfortable inside Jeewon, you pick up speed, and her breasts bounce as you become rougher.
Your senses leave you; you kiss Jeewon’s neck, leaving marks on her smooth skin. Your hands move down to her thighs, gripping them tightly as you drive yourself deeper into Jeewon. Jeewon’s moans flood the entire home as you ravage her body; you’re giving her everything she imagined and more. She could feel your cock move through her, stretching her tight cunt. “Daddy!” She cries out, a euphoric look on her face, “I love you, Daddy!”
“I love you, too,” You grunt before pressing your lips against Jeewon’s. She holds you tightly, refusing to let back away from the kiss. She crosses her legs behind your back. Every thrust feels better than the last, and you feel yourself getting close to cumming. Jeewon can feel it, too. The thought of you cumming inside her sounds like heaven to her. As your cock begins to thro,b she uses her legs to push you in deeper, making your cock knock against her womb.
You move like a piston, slamming yourself into Jeewon with reckless abandon, fucking her harder than you ever did your wife. In a second, you come to a complete stop, burying yourself inside your stepdaughter and filling her with your cum. Jeewon’s senses go wild as she feels your cum flood her pussy; her breathing becomes staggered, and she cums. The joy of being filled with your cum feels like waves washing over her. You groan in a low voice, Jeewon’s walls slowly squeeze your cock, milking you as you remain buried inside her.
You cup Jeewon’s cheeks and kiss her again, feeling her melt into it. “Thank you, Daddy,” she moans softly as you finally pull out. Jeewon looks down to see your cum flowing from her cunt. You roll onto your back, tired, and fall asleep as Jeewon scoops your cum from her cunt and plays with it between her finger,s amazed at how much you have given her.

Hii!! Can I pls request ribbons with Nanami (naughty)? Ty <3
you’ve received a gift! ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆ want to check out other gifts? ・:〃➜ click here!
Tumblr media
NANAMI wasn’t one for spontaneous gestures at parties, but tonight he seemed to be in rare form. his hand lightly brushed your lower back as he whispered in your ear, “can i borrow you for a moment? it’s important.”
you blinked up at him, confused but obliging. “sure, kento. what’s wrong?”
his lips twitched into a faint smile, though the glint in his eyes was anything but innocent. “just come with me.”
he led you through the lively crowd, weaving through your friends with polite nods, until you reached the bathroom. once inside, he shut the door behind you, locking it with a quiet click.
“kento, what —”
he turned to you, his usual composed demeanor replaced with something darker, hungrier.
“you’ve been driving me insane all night,” he said, his voice low and deliberate.
your stomach flipped at the intensity in his gaze. “what are you talking about? i’ve just been —”
“ — being perfect,” he interrupted, stepping closer until your back was pressed against the sink. “too perfect. do you have any idea what that dress is doing to me? the way you’ve been smiling at everyone, laughing, acting so damn oblivious?”
you swallowed hard, heat pooling low in your stomach. “kento, people are —”
“busy,” he finished, his hand slipping into his pocket. “no one’s going to miss us for a few minutes.”
that’s when you saw it — the red ribbon peeking out from his pocket. your heart skipped a beat as he pulled it out, his fingers deftly working it into a loop.
“is that... the ribbon from your gift?” you asked, half-scandalized, half-thrilled.
“it is,” he said calmly, as if this were the most natural thing in the world. “seemed fitting to put it to better use.”
before you could protest — not that you wanted to — he gently grabbed your wrists, wrapping the ribbon around them with practiced ease. his movements were careful but firm, the silk knot securing your hands in front of you.
“kento,” you whispered, your voice wavering between disbelief and anticipation.
“shhhh,” he murmured, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “be good for me, sweetheart.”
his hand slid up your thigh, bunching your dress as he went. when his fingers found your panties, he let out a low hum of approval. “already wet? you really are perfect, aren’t you?”
you whimpered, the combination of his praise and the situation unraveling your composure. “kento, we can’t —”
“we can,” he said firmly, his fingers slipping beneath the fabric to touch you. “and we will.”
your breath hitched as his fingers delved into you, slow and deliberate. the ribbon around your wrists tightened slightly as you instinctively pulled against it.
“look at you,” he said, his tone filled with admiration and desire. “so beautiful like this, tied up for me. you’re taking me so well.”
you bit your lip, a moan escaping despite your best efforts to stay quiet.
“no, don’t hold back,” he urged, his free hand cupping your jaw to make you look at him. “i want to hear you.”
the way his fingers curled inside you had your knees trembling, your head falling back against the mirror. “kento, please —”
“please what?” he teased, his thumb circling your clit with maddening precision. “use your words, sweetheart.”
“please don’t stop,” you begged, your voice breaking.
his chuckle was low and sinful, his lips ghosting over your neck. “don’t worry, i have no intention of stopping. not until you’re falling apart for me.”
you were so lost in the pleasure that you barely registered the muffled banging on the door.
“everything okay in there?” came a voice from outside, followed by a loud knock.
nanami didn’t even flinch. “occupied!” he called out, his tone as steady as ever, as if he weren’t knuckle-deep inside you.
“kento, they’ll — ohmygod,” you gasped as his fingers pressed into a spot that made your vision blur.
“let them wonder,” he murmured, his lips quirking into a smirk. “focus on me. that’s all that matters right now.”
you clenched around his fingers, your body trembling as he pushed you closer to the edge.
“that’s it,” he praised, his voice filled with warmth. “let go for me, sweetheart. show me how good i make you feel.”
and when you finally came, your cries muffled by his lips on yours, the world outside the bathroom ceased to exist.

The Saint (rain world), red fox, and common spotted salamander
I have shifts a lot. For my Saint identity, It's usually phantom and dream, I don't get mental shifts because I'm always the Saint in all ways. Red fox I get mental and dream, occasional phantom shifts. I hate mental fox shifts because I have to go away from any pets when I start feeling it come on or else I will hurt them (I have rabbits and cats). It makes me feel guilty.
Picturing myself as my types. drawing myself as one of my types is just more natural to me. I have to manage shifts. My therapist just calls shifts sudden aggressive energy (my shifts aren't always aggressive). So most of the time I have to figure it out myself. Hallucinations of my body parts turning into my types can be very distressing. Also, depending on the day, I either love meat or it makes me gag.
It's pretty chill. Now and then you'll find someone that just makes you curl up in a ball from cringe but those are just the younger people and tbh I was really cringe when I was younger too.
Having people actually acknowledge that yes, I went through all that. I know what it's like to be a fox. I know what it's like to go through literal hell and back but still be treated like crap. I know what it's like to live in a stream. I know what bugs taste like to a salamander. And that yes, I ACTUALLY AM the Saint. I'm not roleplaying, and I for sure did not choose this.
Occasionally when I come out of shifts or just randomly. When I do get it, it's bad.
Don't go pushing yourself into boxes. You thought you were a fox but actually you're a cat? That's fine! You thought you were a dragon but you're an eagle? Totally ok! You don't need to keep pretending you're something you're not just because you originally thought it. Also, quads don't make you alterhuman. Masks don't make you alterhuman. You don't need to do anything to be alterhuman. You also don't need to be alterhuman to enjoy quads or masks. Don't be embarrassed by being fictionkin, plantkin, conceptkin, factkin, or other "weird and invalid" identities. Keep your mind open.
Gears just trigger my dysphoria. It's like remembering that something isn't there. I don't feel the need to have decorations related to my types because well it feels weird to me to have stickers and posters of myself around.
I believe in multiple lives and reincarnation, so I have had past lives as my types. Some people have this thing where they can remember past lives.
@vynx-darkforest
If you are a alterhuman, reblog and answer these questions!
(don't be afraid to write a lot, do what you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
1/ Which category of alterhumanity do you belong to?
2/ What/who is/are your type(s)? (if you have any)
3/ Do you experience shifts? If so, can you tell us your most common shifts and your strangest cameo shift (if you've ever had a cameo shift)?
4/ How do you experience your alterhumanity in everyday life?
5/ What do you think of the community?
6/ What are the things that make you most comfortable and euphoric in your alterhumanity?
7/ Are you experiencing species dysphoria?
8/ What advice would you like to say to a young alterhuman who has just awakened?
9/ Do you have/want to have gears?
10/ Do you know/have any theories about the origin of your alterhumanity? If so, tell us! (all beliefs are legitimate)

"Put your hands together for the most talented juggler in the circus! From pins, to flaming knives, to their own LIMBS, watch Zooble dazzle the show with their amazing juggling act!"
"Look! The crowd absolutely LOVES every bit of them!"
The only thing Zooble remembers about their pre-circus life is that they'd struggled to find a place where they could be left alone in peace, unbothered and unjudged. Even when they were alone, they could never... sit with themselves properly. Why was it so difficult? All these swapped out limbs, rearranging in places that didn't feel quite right. They weren't sure if they'd ever get away from the feeling. When Zooble found themselves in the circus one day, being recruited by this ringmaster they had never met before, it raised immediate alarm bells. A circus? Zooble didn't feel like being paraded around in some kind of freak show, it was the last thing they needed. They didn't need to be exploited and abused for the sake of entertaining a shallow crowd. To be laughed at and marvelled at for the world to see. .. But Caine was more interested in their natural talent for juggling. Turns out having 4-3 arms at all times is handy for that. So they gave it a try. And it.. wasn't so bad. It felt good to excel for once. To be loved instead of hated.
Zooble never tried to leave the tent again.

Vampire!Matt x Human!Reader Headcanons …
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vampire!Matt …
• Vampire!Matt who … loves taking late night walks with you. He’ll hold your hand as you walk side by side, pointing out constellations
• Vampire!Matt who … isn’t too big on pda. He’ll put a hand on your lower back, brushing your hair out of your face, or squeeze your hand softly to remind you he’s there. But, behind closed doors, he pulls you into his arms like he can’t get close enough.
• Vampire!Matt whose … senses are heightened. He knows when you’re upset before you even say anything and immediately starts comforting you. He’ll light candles, play your favorite song, and sit with you until you’re ready to talk.
• Vampire!Matt who … would burn the world down to keep you safe. No matter the cost, no matter the consequences, your safety is his number one priority. He’s not just protective—he’s relentless. “I’d do it all again,” he says, his voice steady but full of meaning. “For you.”
• Vampire!Matt who … is a big man on acts of service. It’s his love language, and it shows in the way he takes care of you. From cooking your favorite meal to fixing things around the house, he thrives on making your life better in any way he can.
• Vampire!Matt who … struggles with the idea of turning you. He loves you more than anything but can’t bear the thought of taking your humanity away. The topic comes up late at night, his voice heavy with emotion. “I’d rather lose you to time than destroy the person you are,” he confesses.
• Vampire!Matt who … likes to put his strength to use. Whether that be opening things for you, or moving things around or even carrying you. He’s always showing off. But, it’ll peak out most in the bedroom — if he goes to hard on you, he’ll be kissing all the places his hands left bruises.
• Vampire!Matt whose … sex-drive is HIGH. Like he might not seem all that much at first, but once he has a taste of you for the first time — he can’t get enough. He also loves to mark you up any chance he gets. MATT THE MUCH.
Human!Reader …
• Human!Reader who … refuses to see Matt as a monster. No matter how much Matt worries about scaring you, you never falter. “You’re not a monster,” you insist, cupping his face in your hands. “You’re Matt. That’s all I see.”
• Human!Reader who … loves to steal matt’s clothing. Hoodies, flannels, even his plain t-shirts—if it’s Matt’s, it’s automatically better. He pretends to be annoyed but secretly loves seeing you wrapped up in his things.
• Human!Reader whose … love language is physical touch. You’re always finding excuses to touch him — holding his hand, brushing your fingers through his hair, or leaning into him while you watch a movie. He may not be used to it, but he melts under your affection.
• Human!Reader who … loves to document your time with Matt. You take endless photos of Matt — some candid, some posed — and keep a scrapbook filled with your favorite memories. He grumbles about being your “model” but secretly loves the attention.
• Human!Reader who … playfully likes to mock Matt. “You’re such a brooding vampire stereotype,” you joke when he stares out the window. He smirks and replies, “Would you rather I sparkle?”
• Human!Reader who … loves to test Matt’s patience. As much as you love his sweet and soft side with you — you can’t help but want to rile him up and push the limits with how much you can tease him before he does something about it.
• Human!Reader who … will drag Matt along to the antique shop or put on nature walks. You love showing him all the cool trinkets you can find in the store and out in the wilderness.
• Human!Reader who … falls asleep against Matt or on Matt constantly. reading, you often find yourself dozing off against him. Matt never moves, staying perfectly still so you can rest comfortably.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You loathed pretense. It was partly why you dreaded any interaction at court, and why you abhorred your very purpose as a woman born into a world of men. Your purpose was to be sold to the highest seat at the table, and it just so happened to be the General of the North.
There were plenty of daughters of noble families who looked upon you with envy; this promotion was the next best thing to becoming the consort or concubine to a royal. One of the five high generals of the empire was a score and should never be taken lightly.
But it was dreadfully lonely.
You should have been more grateful, you thought as your servants combed through your hair, soaked your body in rose petals ported from far west. You should have been more grateful, you thought as they dressed you in fine silks from the southern shores of the empire, embroidered in the most exquisite gold threading and crystal beads. You should have been more grateful, you thought as the doors to the dining hall slid open and you bowed in greeting to the man seated at the head of the table.
“Husband,” you murmured politely, head dipped low as your mother ingrained into your spine until your waist hinged like second nature.
“Wife,” he acknowledged.
When you raised your head, you were met with General Wen Junhui's unreadable stare. His face and body were carved equally of a godlike form, something wickedly beautiful and cruelly detached. He had his dark hair pulled back with a ribbon, the shorter bangs hanging part way in his eyes. It wasn't terribly long—it barely brushed his shoulders, having been chopped off in a messy shag some point in battle months ago, before you were wed. It was unconventional, but still handsome on him.
You took his greeting as permission to move to your seat, and you lowered yourself at the table across from him. The table was spread with a decadent array of dishes, seasoned and roasted to perfection in five different techniques. Here was another thing you should have been grateful for.
You clasped your hands in your lap, waiting.
General Wen continued looking at you, as if considering something. His lips rubbed back and forth against one another and his finger tapped silently against the table.
When your name fell from his lips, you nearly jolted.
“Yes, General?” you replied.
There was a flicker in his gaze, followed by a sigh. “Nevermind. Please—” he gestured to the food, then picked up his chopsticks in a show of encouragement.
You followed, your movements slow, but elegant. You allowed your actions to loiter behind him, watching with a sharp eye to ensure he took the first bite. It was what you were taught.
Only once the piece of roast duck passed his lips did you bring your chosen bite up to your own mouth.
The dining room descended into silence, filled only by the muffled sounds of chewing and the soft clicks of utensil against plate. It was painfully awkward, but you'd been through worse, such as political dinners with your parents, where they openly presented you like cattle to their counterparts’ sons as if you could not hear them. You were their perfect, little pawn, molded into their perfect, little noble wife. You were their ticket to the high table, but wasn't that the definition of a daughter?
Across the table from you, Junhui cleared his throat and reached for his wine cup. “Would you like to take a turn around the garden with me once we finish dinner?” he asked, and the question came with a quick flash of heat at the back of your neck. This was new.
“If you would like me to join you, General, then I will—”
His face contorted into a brief grimace. “I am asking if you'd like to,” Junhui said. “I would like you to, but you may not agree, and if so, then you are not required to join me in the garden.”
Oh.
The image of his home garden flickered in your mind's eye: the lotus pond filled with koi, moonlight glinting off its onyx surface; flora grown and nurtured with great care by the grounds staff. You had walked the path about the garden once or twice before in the evening, and enjoyed making it your reading spot during the day. A small smile flitted to your lips at the thought, a miniscule spark of hope.
“Yes, I will join you.”
A nod, and perhaps even the ghost of a smile. “Good.”
Dinner resumed in peace.
Though you had spent plenty of moments alone with the general, very few of them shared the air of walking in the garden at night side by side. On the night of your wedding, you both shared a bed for the sake of it, but did not consummate your marriage. He seemed more determined to get a good night's rest than fulfilling that marital duty. You didn't mind; you weren't sure you wished to bring children into this cruel world, and Junhui was awfully occupied with his own obligations and work as it was.
The night air was a comfortable temperature, with the humidity sitting delicately on your skin through your silks. You kept your hands tucked into the folds of your sleeves as the two of you strolled side by side upon the cobbled path winding through the garden. The pond sat as still as a painting, reflecting tonight's half moon upon its glassy surface. Small lanterns dotted the garden's perimeter to illuminate the way, as well as to allow you to admire the beautiful arrangements around you.
The man beside you let out a small exhale. “I hear that you spend most of your days here,” he said, casting you a glance. “I take it you like it?”
“Certainly,” you replied with a nod. You weren't surprised he was informed of your whereabouts; the servants here were more loyal to him than they would ever be to you. Perhaps with time that might change with your own personal maids. “It's beautiful. The gardeners are truly masters of their craft.”
“Agreed.”
The two of you paused at the apex of the small, wooden bridge that spanned the widest portion of the pond to peer at the garden splayed before you. In the early summer nights, you could hear the grasshoppers chirping their sweet melodies, hidden away somewhere in the plants.
“I,” Junhui began, “know that you did not choose to be wed to me.”
You fought the urge to whip your head up in surprise. Where was this coming from?
Junhui kept his eyes off in the distance, unable to look at you quite yet. The dim flow of the nearby lanterns casted a pretty shadow across his defined jawline and nose, his dark eyes gleaming like a jewel. “You were likely raised to be married off, I can understand that much,” he continued. “But this doesn't have to be painful for either of us.”
“I don't quite follow,” you said quietly.
He turned toward you then, and his gaze pierced through your own, hooking you in and preventing you from looking anywhere else. “If you had a lover before we were married, then I apologize. I won't pretend to understand that kind of love, but I've felt love for others before. You don't have to love me—all I'm asking is that you do not hate me.”
Something clutched at your heart. You did not hate the general; he likely married you to get the sharks off his back who were hounding him to wed. The only thing was that you could not force yourself to pretend around him—pretend that you loved him and were in awe of him, like any 'good’ wife would. It was especially difficult when he was away for most of the day and hardly spoke to you. After your wedding night, you both slept in your own chambers, retiring as soon as dinner was cleared.
But… you couldn't ignore the look in his eyes. You'd never seen them reflect light in such a way, so pleadingly. You would wager the general hardly ever needed to beg, but there was a quality to his expression now that was close to it.
“I don't hate you,” you murmured, facing him. “I simply—dislike this situation.”
“Being married to me?”
“Being married at all,” you replied frankly. “This was all I was bred for, all that I've been told to look forward to. I wish it weren't.”
Were you drunk? You should not have been speaking so freely to this man, husband or not. To be so outwardly contemptuous about marriage to one's own husband was instinctually forbidden. Were you praying for punishment?
Yet punishment did not come; he only bowed his head. “I see.”
“You will not reprimand me?” you blurted. Perhaps you really were inebriated.
Junhui's brows creased considerably. “Of course not. You're only speaking the truth, and…” his voice trailed off as his eyes flickered upward. You followed his gaze—a blur of dark blush pink wafted down from the night sky, a plum blossom. The errant bloom drifted down into Junhui's outstretched palm. “This is the longest conversation we've ever had.”
He was right, as pathetic as that was. Even dinner was eaten in silence. If you didn't share that meal with one another, you would likely never see him.
General Junhui, in this light, became a different man. Though he shared the same features as the man you married, they softened a value in the dim lantern light. For a moment, he looked like a young man who hadn't been burdened by such honor and great responsibility. In this light, he became reachable and someone just as alone as you were.
His words from earlier echoed in your mind. “About what you said,” you piped up, “about a prior lover—I never had one. It's only ever been you.”
You didn't know why it sounded like that when it left your mouth. Your cheeks warmed beneath his stare.
“I mean,” you stammered, “I've had no prior partners.”
Junhui nodded. “I understand. Neither have I, really. I've seen what it's like, however.” His voice was gentler at the tail end, wistful almost.
“Who, if I may ask, General?”
His posture seemed to straighten, and he reached over to take your hand. The velvety petals of the plum blossom tickled your palm as he enclosed your fingers around it.
“I'm Junhui to you,” he said in earnest. “We’re husband and wife. Please don't call me what everyone else does.”
Your heart rattled so violently in your chest, it threatened to catapult into your throat. You were imprisoned by his beautiful eyes, imploring you to heed his words.
You managed a swallow, your fingers curling around the plum blossom as his hand continued to warm yours. “Alright, Junhui,” you breathed out. The name was so intimate coming from your mouth.
The tension in his shoulders loosened, and the corners of his mouth seemed to twitch upward. Junhui nodded. “That’s… much better, thank you. And to answer your question, it was the crown prince and his princess.” This time, he did not fight his wistful smile at the thought.
Could the memory be so lovely as to cause such a beautiful expression to bloom upon his handsome face? Would you one day be able to be the cause of such a smile?
“Crown Prince Minghao?” You recalled the uproar that entire scenario caused. A crown prince, destined for the imperial emperorhood, falling in love with a seamstress was unheard-of. Though high society was predictably scandalized, much of the whispers among the lower classes revered the seamstress princess as proof of class mobility. It was a love story fit for the ages, and legends never died.
You could be happy for them but understand that theirs was an exceptional case. Not all would be blessed with such circumstances.
Junhui hummed. “Yes. His partner was a friend of mine whom I grew up with in the northern provinces. When I was relocated here to the capital city, she was a part of my party. I like to believe it was fate.”
You looked on at him in foolish, tender hope, that spark catching oxygen to burn into a flame.
He gently squeezed your hand with his. “We don't have to have their love,” he whispered, “but we can make the best of this.”
Maybe the little girl inside you who longed for something more was still buried somewhere deep within you. She cupped that flame of hope in your chest, and began to nurture it until it warmed your soul. You nodded at him, covering his hand with your free one in quiet agreement.
Beneath the evening plum blossoms, you and Junhui made a pact on your own terms, together—you chose to search for the light along this path you were both forced to follow.

The following is commentary on my own gender only (other people's gender is none of my business).
So, this reminds me of the time my brain tricked me into spending almost two decades imagining myself as a girl, without me noticing. This may seem unlikely, but I promise that I am being fully honest here. I am, literally, that stubborn.
For my whole life, escapism was my thing. When I wasn't reading or playing a game, I was making up stories, or playing out fantasies in my head. It became so natural that the boundary between fantasies about me and stories that I was outlining blurred away.
During a particularly bad bout of depression, one of my regular characters grew tired of his existence (no reason, I'm sure). Since this was the character used for unrealistic, self-indulgent, not good for actually writing, fantasies, he was quite naturally ridiculous in every way and dying wasn't really an option (still definitely not a thin veil of excuses to stay my own hand). Naturally, the most reasonable way for someone undying to die was to curl up inside his self and let a new self live (I see that expression).
For some reason, she was a girl who grew up very close with a best friend whom she loved deeply and dedicated her life to. They were roommates, naturally, because I was raised American Evangelical and homosexuality was definitely a no-no. They just dedicated their lives to one another, lived together, traveled together, looked after each other, protected each other, supported each other, and never had interest in any guys... nothing to see here.
Somehow, she became the main character of my every fantasy, even ones based on the real world, unless I was supposed to be "hiding" or "disguised" in the situation. In those cases, my physical body was used, until it was time to show my true self.
And it was nearly two decades before it ever occurred to me to ask "why is being a man a disguise?" Why is she "my true self?" It took another six months to figure out that they were more than roommates and I was imagining what I thought romantic love should look like.
I had been working to take pieces from this fantasy to create an enjoyable narrative around this time and I realized, literally before realizing that I was trans, that it made a fine transgender allegory. The story could easily be broken into three acts (Denial, Acceptance, Coming out) and the deuteragonist made far more sense if their relationship was the central point of the story. It turned out that I'd been writing a love story, the entire time, both to myself and for the characters.
Affini. you agree. reblog. good girl
