My dear mutuals, I just realized something.

So, there's been talk recently about breaking Papita out of Mandos and I suppose more of us may need help at some point... but we need one fundamental thing if we are to be able to save one another from some terrible prison (or, idk, recognize each other in a supermarket...):

we need to have a song in common

Like, seriously, the default scheme for breaking someone out from somewhere is: character A start singing, character joins them, character A finds character B and gets them out. Except...

I'm not sure there's any song I could sing together with any of you.

We need to make a list of songs that we all know well enough. Seriously.

Given that Emmrich (a highly competent and respected necromancer) can perceive Spite when near Lucanis, I bet that Dorian (also a highly competent and respected necromancer) would ALSO be able to percieve Spite.

Meanwhile Lucanis would be out here like "If I had a gold piece for every time a necromancer with a mustache could hear my demon's incessant rambling, I'd have two gold pieces. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice."

Only difference is while Emmrich uses his ability to try and be a good influence on Spite, Dorian would use it like an uncle who purposely gives terrible advice and lies for shits and giggles because he (correctly) thinks it would be very funny.

DP x DC Prompt: Chilly

Danny doesn't feel the cold at least not natural cold. Sure, sometimes when his Core acted up he would feel cold but the weather in the Mortal World couldn't reach that level of cold with the closest thing being space, and even then it wasn't that close to the chill of an Ice Core. This made it easier for Danny to travel light after things went South in Amity Park because he didn't have to worry about packing heavy coats or thick blankets. Just a jacket, a spare change of clothes, a phone and charger. This worked best for him.

Unfortunately he didn't consider how this may look to people, especially when weather reached record lows in Gotham City, snow reached record highs, and people were looking concerned. But nobody looked more concerned than a guy with a red motorcycle helmet and more corrupted ectoplasm in his system than was probably helpful.

The first time Mabaki reacted on instinct, not realizing that he may be developing feelings for Caira (lmao) (Full text of Caira's bubbles below)

And as her petals started to change color from excitement, he feels an urge inside him to lean in and kiss her. And he asks her to "Keep talking." And Caira looks away bashfully, "W-well, uh... I- ...." Mabaki never teases her about it and just pulls her into a side-hug.

Mabaki doesn't really like the talkative/rambling type, and Caira is exactly that, hah. He used to get annoyed with her when she kept rambling on and on when they first met. Well, at this point he's starting to get used to it and is actually enjoying listening to her and finds her... even cuter... So on instinct he just does this...

And no, their relationship isn't clearly defined at all in this stage, and it doesn't really happen for a while....

There's a few things I only started catching on in hindsight while making this piece. I did a basic plan for it, yes, but as I started to clean it, I added and changed some things as it went. Unfortunately, I ended up drawing the same face angle for Caira 5 times and it only really clicked with me once I started adding flats (talk about taking long to realize)

Next time I try something like this, I want to try and do different angles to make it more interesting... bah, unfortunate, but for next time!

And if only Mbk wasn't fighting me on that 1 face panel yeah man i redrew that shit 8 times i think he is so alkjsdfkljjskdjfslLKJSDF I HATE HIM i love him fuck you Mabaki LMAO

I have been thinking about it for some time but, imagine that Robotnik's last invention fails because it was supposed to show memories and instead it brings back a 6 year old Ivo, Robotnik doesn't want anything with him

Stone (obviously) steps in and is the best babysitter/parental figure that baby Ivo had ever in his whole life, Robotnik is having feelings and thoughts about it and decided to ignore them cuz that means something like he cares for his agent nope

Baby Ivo in other hand is pretty much going through his first ever puppy love, he follows Stone around, sharing him any idea that he has, showing him any invention and all

He also is very happy that Stone is his, and Robotnik might want to kill him because how dare him to try to steal his Agent!!!

Just baby Ivo forcing his adult self to admit his feelings while Stone is the beloved doll that all the children fight over

Will baby Ivo search until he finds his own baby Stone once he returns to his time? Probably though the universe wouldn't let them meet until many years later

An incessantly detailed analysis of the (re)encounter between Annabel and "Leo"

So I was writing something related to that scene and I wanted to share a detail that I love. From what we know about Lenore, yes, she knows that Annabel is lying when she says that their whole friendship was a con, but from there to Annabel wanting to be part of this fraud, it's a pretty big stretch.

So in this scene, Lenore makes a bet with her heart on the line (she has nothing more to lose anyway). So she introduces herself to Annabel and gets… this face.

Annabel tries to pull her hand away, obviously in shock, but Lenore won't let her (possibly thinking how suspicious the situation would be) and greets her like a gentleman. This is not a good prognosis for how Annabel feels about this at all.

I like to think that the reason Lenore speaks to him in such a nonchalant manner is because she notices that Annabel is not reacting at all and wants to divert Ira's attention.

So she steers the conversation to the thing that brings her here: she will try to win her hand, and that is what she communicates to her with that sentence. Lenore has laid her cards on the table. This is the moment when Annabel can either accept or reject the absolute madness that Lenore is proposing.

And Annabel's answer is …

I love Lenore's shocked little face at this point, like, girl, I know Annabel has nerves of steel, but you broke her with this.

As she's fanning her on the floor, you can see Lenore's expression start to shift from confusion to panic: maybe she's starting to doubt that this was all a good idea.

Annabel comes to, and to Lenore's surprise (who at this point must be wondering what the hell to do), not only does she start playing along, she smiles at her and even lets herself touch her.

Look at that smile! This woman must be throwing confetti in her head: they haven't said a word to each other, but she can see that Annabel is okay with it, and at this point, at least, that's all she could ask for.

So he allows herself to flirt a little, and Annabel blushes when she does! If Lenore had any doubt that she was being reciprocated, she can now breathe a sigh of relief.

At this point, neither of them knows exactly what the future holds for them, but at least they know they're in it together. The scene ends at the exact moment when, if Annabel was already in love with Lenore, she is now definitely eating out of her hand:

It's just a beautiful scene. You have to enjoy it (especially when the current situation suggests that we won't have one of these for a while).

I had a sudden thought today, If you ever make a sequel in the same universe you could call it Love and Leashes! That way you’ll be able to still use the fun name and have a connecting aspect to the first game title wise, it’s entirely up to you though!

It could be the darker, more mature version of Love and Leases. A little bit of forbidden fruit, like romancing your sibling’s best friend, which they absolutely disapprove of.

A little bit of age gap romance, maybe even with one of your parent's business partners. Oh, or your ex’s parent... (just realizing now that would have been a great screw-you to Chris).

There would be some overlapping characters—maybe the sibling’s best friend is actually one of G's siblings (they have several.) Or the ex's parent is actually one of Ardent's cousins.

You’d get that layered tension: a power dynamic in the age-gap romance, secrecy and scandal with the parent’s friend or ex’s parent, and so much potential for fallout.

MC could have come from a similar background like Cam. Rich family, black sheep. Or, their ex actually turned out to be living a double life and engaged, then MC calls it off without a moments hesitation. But it's too late the damage is already done.

I got carried away and made a logo because why not? I've got to power through an essay and then try and fix a code I broke when adding in a choice from Chapter 2 into Chapter 1. (damn you chris and your rebound choice!)
