I know that this is kinda...off topic? But back packing off one of my earlier post about building blocks for relationships I thought of a simple way to include a Gwynriel moment that while not outright in your face, would at least lead some credence to the ship.

We know Gwyn gets dagger lessons. What if towards the end of her training she got lucky and accidently nicked Azriel on the hand? And then she wrapped the wound in a ribbon? (They could even have their own version of the beautiful hands moment that Elriel already has)

Then when the Valkyries are kidnapped and Cassian is observing Azriel's reaction to finding out the Valkyries are in the Blood Rite, after Azriel states they trained them well, he could look meaningfully and worryingly at the ribbon on his hand.

BOOM.

Took me 5 minutes.

I even included their beloved ribbon imagery.

Something simple and easy like this would be a HUGE step in the Gwynriel ship imo and isn't even that hard to implement but SJM didn't.

when Wayne was crying over Eddie at the end, well it's never left my head,,,,w everything they went through, how his Uncle took him in, and was there for him every step of the way even when others were coming after his nephew— Wayne never stopped. so thinking about him crying over the boy who he not only saw as his, but cuz it was his sister's boy. so that scene was honestly just fucked up becuz it was like Wayne was losing more than he knew. he lost everything— everything. time that he never got to see or go through when it came to seeing Eddie go further. he lost someone who wasn’t just somebody he got custody over. he lost the only person he had left that reminded him of his sister, that was a piece of, if not just like, his sister and now it’s just him left by himself like how it was before,,,,

huh, I just fucked myself over w/ this.

i had a dumb theory that the talking corpses may be victims of the eyepocalypse that got snatched up in the universe transfer but theres lots of things that dont make sense with that. still fun to think about anyway so im putting it here for u guys.

i know most of us already agree that they used to be in a relationship. but then something happened and now they’re exes and yeah that’s great absolutely wonderful

but. what if they were never actually together? they might’ve almost started a relationship but never did for whatever reason. like the feelings were always there, they just never ended up acting on them. and now they’re thrown together again and are once again forced to confront these feelings that have always been brewing underneath the surface

idk, i just feel like that would explain the sexual tension (especially in the first scene) better than them just being bitter exes

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
