it wasn’t always that xiao visited liyue harbor.

he wouldn’t interact with the floods of people that surround the harbor, thinking that it should just stay like that. a yaksha that’ll watch from afar, doing his work in the shadows as he refuses to show himself in the light.

“you… want to visit liyue harbor? with me?” you asked, confusion trailing in your tone.

xiao nodded his head, yet he refused to meet your eyes as he did so. “if you’re free and okay with it; if not, never mind,” he says, still avoiding your gaze. “oh, of course we can! there hasn’t been much to do lately anyways,” you replied.

by the time you got to liyue harbor, it was flooded with people. it wasn’t unusual for it to be like this; in fact, you’ve gotten quite used to it. but you were slightly worried for xiao, for he had to visit when the harbor was like this.

as the two of you walked side by side, you felt a hand grasp onto yours. you were worried for a moment, but you felt relieved once you realized it was just xiao.

“i’m sorry that you had to visit like this,” you awkwardly said as you walked. “it’s fine,” he said as he held your hand tighter. “are you okay? you don’t usually hold my hand this tight,” you asked.

xiao took a few moments before he could respond, “i’m fine. i just didn’t want you to get pushed around with how many people are also walking among us.”

“o-oh! well, even if we get lost, at least we’ll be lost together.” you replied.

“is that so?”

well, even if the two of you do indeed get lost, xiao wouldn’t mind it that much.

as long as you’ll be lost together, that’s okay for him.

Apparently I can meet my goal of roughly 400,000 words in 6 months if I just somehow write at least 2,200 words a day ghbjh... Almost 2,500 today... huzzah...

#Definitely not going to be able to stick with it just due to like... being realistic about my energy levels and etc. ESPECIALLY as we #enter the Evil Summer and it becomes hot all the time. But... one can attempt.. at least...#I'm also a very slow writer since I tend to re-read and edit while I write. and only move onto the next section once what I'm writing #seems okay. Which is easy for visual novel type stuff. since ''sections'' of a conversation are more clearly marked (like if you #have a menu option with 5 different dialogue choices. finish the character's response for choice 1 before moving onto 2. etc.)#Especially since when I'm done with a whole quest I always follow it up by playing through it and picking every option and making sure it #actually all works okay and etc. So I am already going to see it all a second time. Then I can go back and reorder a few words or remove #certain sentences that don't sound natural when I read them out loud (I always read it all outloud to myself since it is... just peple #talking.. it should sound like natural dialogue in their voice. etc). But my ''first draft'' is kind of not as first drafty since I pause t #edit a lot as I go along. So it also takes longer probably than it would take other people who I think treat a first draft as more #of a loose guideline or something. AANYWAY...#80F in my bedroom right now again... huzzah... I did end up finishing and recording that sims build video before the heat wave (or is #it really a heat wave if it's just summer..?? lol) came in.. but now... augh.. the editing... plus the costume photos and all else... Much #to do as always.. Often such a long todo list.. a giant scroll hung upon the walls of the evil hermit wizard tower..#Anyhow.. I hope I can finish getting ready for bed early in time to reward myself with a game of tripeaks solitaire whilst I snack on #cheddar cheese and some of those preserved artichokes in a jar. hrgm... I actually have nasturtiums (ultimate best flower) on the #deck again this year but I had to move them all into a corner today because the leaves were getting burnt by the sun lol.. Also am now more #cautiously weaving through social media to ignore all dragon age news. NOT bc of spoilers (I actually love spoilers/literally never play #any game until there's full guides on it I can read to plan my entire playthrough based on knowing exactly what I want to happen lol + mods #and etc.) but just because I'm so busy with my ownprojects I simply do not have the brainspace to dedicate... Yes I love to think #about elves and fictional universe lore. but no.. I pretend I do not see it. Does not exist to me actually. ghgj.. OHH also took som #cool pictures of flowers in the garden section of a store and I wanted to do like.. character designs based on the colors of the flowers o #something. but that might just be another unnecessary project to add to the pile.. I want to commit to the daunting task of dyeing my #hair again some time.. hrm.. this is all of the updates I can think of. As if a bunch of random tags make up for never posting anything for #weeks on end lol.. alas.. too warm to think properly I suppose.. .. I’m very tempted to make a post on twit asking peeps what makes new unappealing compared to arma bc even if I still really like arma and sick of how tarnish it gets in the SRW fandom, I do think new is more cohesive and probably the best written of the 3 ovas-

But whatever unappealing aspect it has that I haven’t recognized-bc even with the “flaws” I pointed out to myself that it has I don’t think their show ruining-must be a universal thing because for some fucking reason it’s been a struggle to finish this god damn show irl with friends and only two people seemed fully invested anyways 💀 This NEVER happened with arma, especially when I actually sat down to watch episodes with someone, and SVN I’ve always finished in one sitting bc it’s so short, so I don’t know why new is plagued with “oh you wanna finish this show? Throw some life inconveniences above you!”

Because yes when I want to write anything related to original stories and ideas my mind blanks but I finish Dual destinies a week ago and subsequently create a 4-5 page rewrite of 5-4 and 5-5. And I didn’t even mention the man the myth the legend Bobby Fulbright

#ace attorney 5 #ace attorney #usually when I finish an ace attorney game I take a few days of more before I start the next one cuz my mind can’t take it #And these games won’t take up too much space in my brain afterwards even with aa4 which to me the ending could have been better #But I can’t get my mind off of aa5 and it’s not even like the writing was all that spectacular. Like I’m not an angst person #The type of distress that they could’ve been portrayed during the aftermath #How they could’ve further developed the theme of bonds and emotional connection not just in this case but throughout the whole game #if yknow the game’s writing was actually good lol #jk #I think it wasn’t terrible and i think the first half of the game is pretty good #even tho 5-2 was admittedly not the best #I think Athena and Simon had some good moments individually #and Apollo could’ve been so good if they took it all the way
