“No, I—” James shakes his head. He stops to lean against the stone wall that edges the uphill terrace. “Yesterday, in the tunnel.”

“Ah, well. You could hardly see me coming could you?”

James sighs, pulls out his cigarettes and lights one, leaving the pack and his lighter on the stone wall next to him. Robbie can’t help but think that the lad is stalling, only he’s the one who brought up whatever this is.
