I’m doomed to write domestic Elucien and I’m just gonna apologize in advance, I think?? 😣

Domesticity is hardly popular as far as fanfic tropes…at least, in any of the fandoms I’ve frequented in the past (and loved in spite of that). But damnit….my favorite tormented, traumatized males becoming husbands and fathers is my kryptonite. A hill I will die on. A want I’m doomed to write again and again.

I need them loved back to life by wives who take none of their bullshit but also would kill a bitch who even breathes a hint of an insult in their direction. And then the little beings who take no note of Daddy’s physical scars or suffocating guilt, just overwhelming acceptance of who he is in their innocent eyes; who allow him to dote the fuck on them so that they are fully aware that they have him in a loving, irreversible choke hold.

I need to finish the books… But I don’t think I can wait that long to start said fic. 😫

I'm writing a Lucien/Elucien family fic revolving around them with children and this is all I think about. He is the only male character in the ACOTAR series that I see not only wanting children but just being absolutely amazing at it. Given everything he's been through, he would be an exceptional parent! 🥹

Lucien is the only fictional character (male or female) I imagine having children. Even more, I'm ROOTING for him to have children. Lots of children. Boys, girls, they/thems. I usually don't care for children in fiction and children as an end goal/ pregnancy trope makes me angry.

But man, with Lucien? I want them kids. Screaming, running around, having fun. Helping their father fish. Learning how to care for their homestead and making lovely gift for their mother. I wanna see him teaching them woodworking and how to sew. I wanna see him hugging them and telling them he loves them. Telling them stories of his adventures.

I wanna see Lucien happy and surrounded by people that love and admire him.

now that the initial shock is over can we talk about how hesitant sylus is to take the lead almost as if he still thinks this is one of his dreams or pocket of reality with mc from their first life? the way he asks her if she’s sure she doesn’t want him to leave, his gentle touch on her face while he kisses her, him clasping his hands with her after he carries her so sweetly like his bride to his room, how he finally gives in and just let her love on him and how he cages her with his arm while he hungrily kisses her like a touch starved man who’s been waiting for the love of his life to come back to his arms after a millennium of being apart like yes sylus is dominating but when it comes to mc he’s nothing but soft and gentle and you can see it in his eyes and how he so readily surrenders to her at every whim

Sylus would sometimes intentionally keep his hair messy while going out. It wouldn't be much maybe a cow lick or one of Mephisto's feather sticking out of his head. He knew it would bother you.

"I think you have a feather in your hair? Shouldn't you remove it before we head out?" You pointed out, trying your best not to be rude.

"Hmm fix it for me" he says bowing his head in front of you. But this cheeky crow intentionally didn't bend far enough. He enjoyed seeing you on your tippy toes with absolute concentration on your face.

"You know I can't reach you like this! Why are you so tall? For all I know you might be the descendant of a titan" you grumbled trying to pull him down.

Sylus leaned forward, his breath fanning over your face, his lips hovering over yours "is it that I am tall or that you are tiny, kitten?" His eyes sparked with mischief. Darting between your eyes and your lips. The slow caress of his hand on your back didn't go unnoticed either.

"I am not tiny. You are just a behemoth of a man. Now get lower and let me fix your hair" you tried to seem stern while fighting all those butterflies in your stomach and honestly you were losing.

He didn't say anything nor did he back away from you. He gracefully began dropping to his knees while keeping his eyes glued to yours. His hand slowly traveled from your back to settle on your hips and held on to you like a devotee praying

"You are the only one in this world who is able to order me around like this" he drawled seeming almost intoxicated just by the sight of you. You couldn't help but notice how his words seemed more like a confession than a statement. And that fact flooded your heart with warmth.

"And you wouldn't have it any other way" you said smiling and fixing his hair.

"And I wouldn't have it any other way" he repeated with absolute devotion and adoration in this eyes
