The sheer pessimism, dare i say negativity, surrounding Seong Gi-hun and his ideologies are crazy! The system got you! Its making you think we have to compete with their views and logic, but no, just because Song gihun let people die before the coup doesn't mean the front man was right.

People like Inhun view the systems as either necessary, or believe they can become the hero and gain power at the top. They are people who will uphold the system, no matter what, because they can climb the ladder and win. So they view Seong gi-hun as naive. Its naive to care about people. Its naive to try and help eachother. Its naive to want change.

But the thing is, we all know that violence is necessary in revolution. We also know that some people who should be your fellow man, make themselves bigots and agressors where it's Needed to fight back. But like the O players, fighting those people aren't our priority when it comes to revolution. They are not the point, the point is to beat the systems that enabled them to prioritize themselves above all else. Seong gi hun understood that there was no justice in killing the O players. And to the x players who got killed, it is Inhun who made seong gi hun the hero from Day One, and viewed him responsible for them. But Seong gi hun never pushed himself as a hero, he always viewed that his actions come from love. He Cares about people, viscerally so. He cares to the point of his own detriment. He couldn't live a normal life knowing people were suffering. Doesn't that sound familiar to you right now with the state of our world? It's a common thought shared right now thats its hard to continue living like its normal everyday while knowing how many injustices there are around the world. That is what Seong gi hun was going through but the suffering was in his backyard. He had to go back because he cared. Not to be a hero, not to save the day. But to do whatever he could to help and save other people. And as unfortunate and cruel as it sounds, it was not his responsibility to save the x players. He's not a hero. He's just a man trying to bring down a fucked rigged system, and he understood that realistically, there will be sacrifices to achieve that revolution. Non-glorious and unfair sacrifices. It's a common manipulative tactic that oppressors equivalent any disruption in the name of revolution to be as just as cruel as their systems actions to play a moral and ethics game. Fuck them and their game.

Its the sheer naivety of the frontman to believe that fighting together and for a system that doesn't abuse us means a Fairy tale knight in shining armor. Its takes pragmatism, sacrifice, violence, and strategy to win. It takes a group efforts where lives will be lost, but not in vain or irresponsibly, unlike how capitalism kills us and destroys our bodies for trivial and meaningless reasons. Its not black and white, but the Frontman sees it as such.

Seong gi hun is not meeting inhun where hes at in his argument about their opposing ideologies because seong gi-hun deosnt have to. He doesn't have to engage into a discussion on the frontmans terms. On the systems terms. The whole point is to break them. To walk away from their talking points and create actual physical change. The Frontman is naive in his ideology, not Seong gi-hun

Deep analysis of Wukong and Macaque's relationship in the Stone Egg aus is fun! Like... for Jttw and Slow Boiled, Macaque had undeniably f-ed up, leading to Wukong becoming pregnant in the first place, but we can't ignore the circumstances that had led to it. Wukong had f-ed up in waaay bigger ways not too long before their fight, making multiple mistakes as king and slowly turning into someone Macaque didn't recognize. We all know his reasonings had started out good, he wanted to gain power so he could protect the people he lived and, eventually, be able to successfully have a child without fear of sacrificing his dao and dying like his predecessors had. It's a classic tale of good intentions leading down a devil's path, one that ended in Wukong's imprisonment and lashing out at Macaque.

And that's where Macaque makes his mistake. It's understandable. In the state his mate was in, he was neither in a good mindset nor stable enough to hash out his grievances in a calm manner. He was angry, frustrated, trapped, and if we go by the fact he was tortured whilst under the mountain in the book, likely starving and in massive amounts of pain and had likely not even had the injuries he had sustained from the Furnace treated, so probably sick with infection too. No matter how kind, docile, intelligent, or civilized, anyone would lash out in that position, and that's what Wukong had done. He was frustrated and angry and hadn't meant what he said at all but was likely doing so because Macaque was the first semi friendly face he'd seen in years and he was looking for someone to sympathize and help comfort him only to do so in tbe wrong way, soemthign Macaqueshould have realized having been bis mate for many years at this point. When Macaque took this as Wukong, not wanting to see him and tried to leave, Wukong lashed out even harder because after he'd lost everything, he thought his mate was now abandoning him.

Macaque had done exactly that, turning on Wukong and saying extremely hurtful and accusatory words to Wukong before just leaving, presumably never visiting Wukong again. While tensions were high, I could almost guarantee that Macaque had been willing to give Wukong a few days or so for both himself and Wukong to calm down they would have been able to work things out but instead he stayed away for years, effectively turning against his mate in his time of need. And we all know what happened next, 500 years later, Wukong had been freed by Tripitaka and started his pilgrimage with an egg in the nest and a ton of abandonment issues, rage, heartbreak, and trauma. Tripitaka, after fumbling a bit at first, realized this and between him and the rest of the Pilgrims was able to help Wukong heal from this. To help him learn to trust and rely on others again when the family he had once put everything into abandoned him and left him to die at the first sign of failure.

Then Macaque decided to show up again, and depending on how the story goes from there, Wukogn is either able to have reconciliation with his long lost mate and raise a bunch of baby monkeys together until Macaque makes the same mistake years down the line... or go through the ultimate heartbreak and lose his ante seemingly forever until he is revived by his enemy for the sake of causing Wukong the most pain LBD could possibly cause by forcing him to fight his beloved again whilst still being pregnant

These mfs be making bad decisions and cant live without one another!! They hurt eachother due to their mistakes and must learn to mutually heal for the sake of their futures!!!

Feixiao is healing in so many ways (and is cool)

I think it's very obvious for what types of charackters we go at that point now, no? Because we do collect the Xianzhou (generals) like Pokemon cards (jokes on you, Pokemon is also one of my favorite things in the world lol) However, there is one thing that will forever have my heart, Wolfs. Because they are just fluffy babies that are wonderful (anyone saying otherwise is weird).

I am very aware that Borisin did some awful things and are almost as bad as the IPC and the crazy researcher lady, but I have to be honest, the first time seeing them, I just squeeled that I wanna pet them (I did the same with the Wolfies you could fight normally on the Loufu as well btw, they are just tooo cute!)

[SPOILERS for the second half of the March 7th update]

The fact that this was only a patch is still so wild to me. I mean there is almost more story than the whole Belabog arc and we loved it! Like mentioned in my first post about this patch, the writing was just incredibly good and despise making us watch in horror, we still felt amazing by experiencing the story.

While the first half with "the kids" was very lighthearded and fun, the second one took a dark turn in sense for our favorite female General (sorry Fexiao, Jing Yuan still wins).

This arc was so much more personal that my words could express and I felt a deep satisfaction when Feixiao got her "revenge" for all Foxians and people the Borisin hurt over all those years. And it was even more powerful that Feixiao is in fact part Borisin, she could get powerful as a Borisin, but she rather wants things to be right. Her right. Because even as a Borisin, she felt both stages of the blessing and the curse. Was on the reciving side of the brutality, even tho Borisin per se are not kind people, not even to their own kind.

I really loved how they presented Jiaoqiu's, Moze's and Feixiao's relationships and how deeply they are bonded and how far they would go for each other. While it's clear Merlin's Claw is the General and in charge, they are still friends to a very high degree.

Just like Feixiao, Jing Yuan and Huaiyan are very clearly more than colleges and trust eachother. (I mean how could you not trust a guy that named a "kitty" Mimi and IS the reinforcement??)

I also very much like that Jiaoqius actions were meaningful, and making him go blind because of them, is somehow even more meaningful. Because his life was at stake, and he was still willing to go that far for someone who's origin was the same as the beast he despised but saw that her values and actions were trustworthy. That she was powerful and exremly eager to end this war and bloodshed.

But the side plot with the Temple Borisin that refuse to hurt others and live in peace? Even more shattering, they were villing to die for their belives and their hopes (and a machine desinged to kill, to prove that anybody could change if they just would want to), leaving behind only people that see all the bad in them only because others of their own kind did something unaceptabley terrefieng. It shows, in our opion, really greatly, how such conflics bear often a lot of sides and it's not as one sided and clear as one side wants to make it out to be.

Borisin did bad things, they should face consiquences for them. But the Foxians were just as harsh in their judgment what is okay to do and what isn't, they aren't the perfect people either. Even after everything she's done, if Feixiao would be public with her origins and her Moon rage, she would get hatred. It doesn't matter that she is a hero, that she is an incredible General and a very highly powerful soldier.

My favorite part however, was the (sadly too) brief interaction we saw with Feixiao and Yukong. I love them. I'm really sad Yukong is not really playable in game right now, but her story will forever struck me close. I mean, she is very much a very ahm totally platonic lesbian, of course we love her. It ties their pasts so well together, it just made me really happy, esspacially because Yukong is one of the rare trusted people that know about the Moon Rage. Whhich puts Yukong as a very important person to Feixiao and that both women still think and care about eachother.

Oh and that makes Feixiao chronically sick, did I mention that? And like with Firefly, we stan this really much on this account ^^

So, to summon up, there is nothing we truly or come close to dislike by the white haired badass beauty!

Hi! I'm the same anon who asked about Renji and Byakuya and I just want to make it clear that I'm not really a huge fan of them either. They're good characters but I don't like their personalities that much. I like Ukitake's more, in fact he's my fave character. I would like to know your opinions about him and please don't hold back. I know he's a great character but I accept that he has was too so I would like to hear your thoughts. I can share too if you'd like

Hello again anon! Ok, so where to begin. I honestly love Ukitake so very much too and I wish Kubo had explored his character to the fullest.

I loved this white haired cutie since was first introduced. Aside from Ichigo and co. He was the only one who tried to save Rukia during the Rescue Arc. That was enough for me to say 'You. I like you.' But not only is he driven and ready to protect Rukia but he's also a total sweetheart. He's kind, he loves kids, he's polite and a great boss. Then he and Kyoraku were both willing to fight Yamamoto to save Rukia and I was losing it. If something happened to either of them I probably would've dropped the show because I love them that much.

After the rescue arc we never got much from him. Nor in cannon or filler arcs/episodes yet I was always happy to see him. Heck, he made the beach episode even better (although I felt so sad he couldn't enjoy it due to his illness)

Finally we got to see him and Shunsui fight together again in the Karakura arc and again he was an awesome fighter and a total sweetie. I especially loved how funny his fight with Lilinette was. He's too pure for going against a kid, even a slightly villainous one. I was so mad Kubo nerfed him after Wonderweiss appeared but I kinda get why he couldn't have too many people around when the stakes were getting higher.

What did surprise me tho, was the Fullbringer arc. I know it's not the most loved arc but I honestly wished we've had more time to fully explore it.

The bad guy of the arc, Kugo was a substitute shinigami like Ichigo and not only did Soul Society betrayed him but he seems to have something against Ukitake. I was floored when I first read this like 'omg, whathappened between these two?!' Sadly this is never cleared and I'm still salty we never had a proper conversation between them.

When the final arc came around I didn't expect to get what we got. I only expected to get his Bankai revealed and that's it. We got Ukitake's backstory and then he died because Kubo couldn't go five minutes without killing every interesting character he had.

For me I wanted to hear more about his power. Was it easy to deal with? Was he happy about it, or angry he was now bound to the king? Would he have died either way when Juha killed the king? Idk, and I guess we'll never truly know.

I have my own theory of what happened between him and Kugo and how the whole soul king backstory would've played into that but seeing how Kubo keeps throwing cannon out the window, maybe it's best it stays a theory.

Anyway, what I think happened is that since Ukitake was healed by the king, he had to obey everything the Soul King asked of him or he would die. So when Kugo was a substitute shinigami, they asked Ukitake to give him the pass as a way to spy on him and he had no choice but to do so. Kugo finds out, is rightfully pissed but since the Soul Society has always been idiotic in dealing with these matters they end up killing Kugo's friends for his retaliation and he turns against them for good. Sadly our fave Captain couldn't do anything about that and is stuck with the regret. Years later Ichigo comes along and again he has to give him the pass, but unlike Kugo when Ichigo finds out he dosen't hold a grudge. I would've loved to have more info about this on the manga proper but Kubo couldn't even have them speak to eachother so that's a let down.

To conclude I think Ukitake was a great character. He was nice, funny, kind, and had a good story full of potential. I think killing him was completely unnecessary and I wish he would've gotten the development he deserved. Despite being a super nice sweetie, I also liked that he had his flaws and would've been down for seeing his relationship and downfall with Kugo and like so many characters in Bleach he deserved better. Hope this answers your question!

This is so hard to tell, Zoro (like every other strawhat) has a lot of amazing moments so this is gonna be a bit hard? I’m sorry I cannot choose only one bc they’re so many so here’s a little compilation ;;;;

( First off I'm going to say that EACH and EVERY interaction Zoro has with the strawhats are my favorite moments in One Piece, specially between Zoro and Sanji; leaving to a side the fact that I ship them, how they treat, fight and talk to eachother is incredible and always entertaining. Natural, they are just two dudes that clash with one another and I love it ...Their relationship makes me happy, you have no idea how much. )

- "That's what a captain is. "

These  words, after one of my favorite moments in the whole series, destroy me everytime; literally makes me cry every single time. Zoro's face, Luffy and the others suffering in silence after what's done with Usopp send chills all over my body. I know this is a bit simple to be one of my favorite moments but this is just so... heavy.

- Roronoa Zoro vs Ryuma.

Zoro gained my favorite sword until now by fighting a fucking samurai zombie. No words.

- " So that I may surpass you...!!! "

Knowing the swordsman, we know this was too much to bare for him, to his pride, to his honor; and even with that, he bowed a third time in order to become stronger, not only to reach his goal but for his friends, to not let anything they were going through happen again. He thought next time a situation like this come he'd be strong enough to face anything. Now his dream would be worthless If he cannot protect whats precious for him. Zoro won’t allow himself lose anyone ever again Also he trained with Mihawk r u kidding?!?!?

- Zoro's sacrifice.

I guess this is one of the favorite scenes of most of the One Piece fandom and I am not exeption. Zoro, like Sanji, handling the situation and prepared to die in order to protect the captain and the crew is something that we all love, no matter if you like the character or not. This is one of the best scenes in the entire series and it'd be a shame for the character if I don't mention it in this compilation. The second time he bowed to anyone.

I'm adding this scene too because this is the result of the previous act. Once again, Zoro is willing to die for the sake of their comrades and asks to be left behind to not be a burden to the group, to make sure they’ll live. In this point I want to mention that I love the scenes and fights where the swordsman is really fucked up (like Zoro vs Daz Bones, that fight is G O L D). Not that I like him suffer but because it's so strange now to see him like this, wounded, almost dead, fighting not physically but to survive... Zoro were more human in a certain way and I wish we get to see him having things hard in Wano, I’m sorry.

- "Then I'll be the one to leave the crew this time!"

The weight of these words are another level, who have ever thought that bastard would say such thing? The very idea of the “most loyal” strawhat to Luffy leaving the crew is something terrifyng; Zoro is a prideful man, obviously he wouldn't follow anyone; people mostly think, because he also said so, that he said what he said because he doesn't want to follow someone who's been disgraced but I think he thought more about what the others would say about his captain than about himself. Those words didn't mean only "If you let others step on you, I'll leave" that also meant " If any of you disrespect the captain, I'll leave". They are all friends, that was a way to prove if they really care about their friendship too.

- “ Seems you understimated me, snow woman... “

I’ll be honest, sorry If you don’t think as I do but this is one of the best battles Zoro had post time skip. Personally this gets me a lot. Just that. Monet was so precious and is one of my favorite females characters as well. I love Zoro and Tashigi swordsmanship and watching them fighthing “together” is heaven to my eyes. My main ship is ZoSan but when I think in a more reallistic way and you ask me who’s going to end up with Zoro I can only think on Tashigi....or alone. I don’t think he would “fall” for another woman, idk.

- Zoro in Wano.

I’m not showing any pics of Wano because that’s too recent and I guess some people is still in the past arc but...

Bro, the crew is finally in Wano. Bro, Zoro is going to learn fire blade moves I guess, he said so in Punk Hazzard;;;. That episode literally blasted the last of my serotonin into smithereens but TBH??? WHO AM I MAD AT I should have seen this coming this whole volume has been such a headache. I cant be bothered to type up a coherent rwde essay on everything that bothered me this episode so im just gonna copy and paste my earlier yelling here instead ;A;

Team Rwby was god awful in episodes 11-12. They’re so self-righteous, entitled, hypocritical and cocky as a team and it doesnt help that they all suck as individual characters nowadays (except for weiss but even she lost best-girl points this episode also lmao blake and yang aren’t even INDIVIDUALS anymore they’re just bumbleby). It was annoying at first but now its just infuriating how rwby thinks theyre always right with their uwu energy and think they can do whatever tf they want with ZERO CONSEQUENCES.

Basically any time there is a problem in this show they have Ruby uwu at it and its solved lol.

They kept giving ironwood shit for taking on this incredible burden SO THAT NOBODY ELSE WOULD HAVE TO and rather than offer any real solution they just kept going “but mantle” like okay?? But remnant??? Ruby’s “you were the best, until you trained us :3” -for maybe 2 days before my team went dancing ruby sis shut right tf up pls my god is this line just so. UNEARNED. Training in a room for a short while does not simply grant you the years of field experience the ace ops have and whAT IS UP WITH HER TRYING TO REASON WITH HARIETT AFTER SAYING THAT COCKY LINE AND FIGHTING HER??? WHAT and also like. The entire idea of “the ops lost cuz they weren’t good friends and were bad at teamwork uwu” is just so dumb. Ur telling me this group of high ranking hunstmen who’ve most likely been working together for at least a few years didnt have teamwork down??? Learning to work together is the most BASIC concept for a team to learn!! Its like the first thing a team has to perfect!! If the ace ops are supposed to be the best of atlas you dont think the ops would have gotten something as fundemental as teamwork down?? I dont buy it. And who gives a shit if they dont hang out after work or take selfies with eachother. Being friends doesnt necessarily mean theyre great at working together. If they succeed at relying on eachother to watch their backs, to keep each other alive (in the words of hariett herself) then Id think theyd know how to protect eachother i.e WORK TOGETHER.

And for all the ✨friendship✨ and ✨going through so much with someone✨ talk rwby like to do, the show barely displays these people acting like friends. We’re constantly TOLD how great of friends this group is, but the actual CONTENT we are shown leaves a lot to be desired. Tell me the last time ruby and blake teamed up in a fight. Or weiss and blake. Or yang and weiss. What teamwork?? Yang only interacts with blake now and weiss is only ever allowed to interact with ruby. Has blake ever said nora or ren’s name out loud? Have jaune and yang ever held a conversation between just them? Team rwby just spent a GOOD DEAL of time seperated from eachother, but when they reunite their teamwork is still somehow better than the ace ops?? Honestly its easier to believe that ruby is closer with team jnpr than she is her own team. If they showed the ops messing up during rwby vs ace ops fight due to lack of communication, then it still doesnt matter. My point is that they shouldnt have lacked teamwork in the first place.

Robyn was m e h this episode “JaMes ConTinUes to UnDeresTimAte Me” *proceeds to get knocked over in .3 seconds and is then KO for the rest of the episode* also great job for starting a fight and aiming to take clovers life in a moving airship with a terrorist on board when clover was acting PEACEFULLY and qrow was WILLING TO TALK IT OUT WITH IW and potentially work on a solution, but naw robyn is big mad and shall shoot.

Qrow made zero sense this episode too. I was with him right up until he chose TYRIAN OVER CLOVER??? THE PSYCOPATH WHO CANNOT BE REASONED WITH OVER THE RATIONAL DUDE YOU KNOW IS GOOD except clover wasnt acting rational in this fight at all and ill get to that AND IS THE ONLY FRIEND YOU HAVE WHOS NOT 19????? Qrow rly looked at tyrian- a man who is literally an enemy to all of remnant and went after ur neice- and said lets get rid of this punk together u and me bro. Like screw teaming with clover to bring down the dude you ACTUALLY have a grudge with whos also a serial killer and then trying to talk it out with clover whod be willing to do things peacefully why is this show like this

and AS FOR CLOVER. where were the braincells this episode. Qrow was trying to fight tyrian-the WAY bigger threat here, but clover??? kept knocking him away from tyrian and restraining him with his hook like??? YEAH LETS HELP OUT THE DEMON SCORPION CRACKHEAD HES CLEARLY NOT THE PRIORITY ATM nvm clover deserved to die there m8

His death scene was emotional and I feel bad for Qrow but u literally sealed his death when u ganged on him with tyrian so why are you even surprised. And on the subject of fairgame, im glad it didnt happen. Qrow was in no state for romance and I was glad he finally had a friend. He just spent the last volume thinking he wasted his life away helping oz, drowning in misery, drinking til he passed out on the street and so drunk he couldnt even be of any help during the apathy situation, when up til now hes been shown to fight just fine while drunk. I don’t see this as a “bury your gays trope” because clover was never confirmed to be gay and all their scenes added up to 40 seconds of platonic friendship. These two are grown ass men, if they had the hots for eachother then im pretty sure they could openly show it and not dance around it like theyre kids. I do feel bad for mlm viewers who were hoping for some rep with fairgame/lucky charms (cuz rt only cares if ur a cute marketable lesbian) but idc for the overly entitled fans who try to force their own headcanons on the writers and go feral when they dont get what they want. You dont just get to prance around claiming whats canon and what isnt. If rep is there then great, but if it isnt, then why not look somehwere else and let the author tell the story theyre trying to tell? Shipping fairgame cuz you think its cute is absolutely fine but not when u start getting ready to casterate crwby for not catering to you. Also, rwby sucks with lgbt+ rep anyway so what were yall expecting.

The only thing that was great this episode was the chorerography. It just sucks that the animation/choreo continues to improve while the writing doesnt. Another thing that really fell off this episode was the whole “we’re friends but we have to fight” drama. It doesnt work when its only ONE SIDE SHOWING ANY DISTRESS OVER IT. Only the ace ops (marrow, clover, the vine dude) seemed to show distress over having to fight rwby (it sucks that the only 1v1 weiss has won was because marrow was going EASY on her cuz he didnt wanna fight her fr) but rwby???? They didnt give any shits. They were so quick to turn against them and aim for their heads. They were SMILING as they ran at the ace ops, while they looked conflicted. If you oppose their UwU philosophy, you’re dead to them.

I really wanna enjoy RWBY but sometimes this show (and the fndm) really tests me. Its ironic how this episode came right after last episode, which I thought was the best chapter this volume. Anyway I rate this 10/10 cuz it gave me best character ironwood and best boi marrow and I would like to give them hugs for carrying this volume on their backs. (Also tyrian and penny and winter have been great too)

Jaime is a good man!

So like everybody I think, these last few days have been spent in a blur wondering what the hell happened on GOT on Sunday. It's taken a few days of venting, thinking and researching and I have to say I'm still on Jaime's side. After rewatching all of season 7 and then season 8 ep2 and 4 multiple times I can completely understand his aim.

This is a man who for years has loved only one woman, somebody he came into the world with, somebody he bore children with and somebody who ultimately brought out the arrogant, obsessive dark side of him. His entire life from the moment he was deemed Kingslayer has been a war between him wanting to be the best and most honourable man he can be in a situation that expects the very worst from him. His goal has always been his family, namely Cersei, Tyrion and his children. Keeping them safe and protected no matter what the cost...The things I do for love. The last line he muttered at the end of episode 1 season 1 and still he lives by that quest. Every atrocious, evil act he has done has had Cersei at the basis of it, to either get back to her, protect her or impress her.

We have to remember that Jaime and Cersei have been in a romantic relationship since they were young and they are both in their 40's now. That's a hell of a long time to be devoted to somebody. Now I wanted to research season 7 because I wanted to see the foreshadowing of them breaking up and obviously Jaime could see that slowly the power was overtaking Cersei and she was beginning to show signs of madness, but still through it all he remained loyal and when she announced the pregnancy and said she wanted people to know he is the father you could tell that was all he had ever wanted, but still even that moment was ruined by Cersei's viciousness. Now looking at the last episode of season 7 when Jaime leaves I wanted to work out the exact point you could see he completely gave up on Cersei. Of course he was not happy with her decision to not let him and the Lannister army go north but I don't believe that is what decided it for him. The moment when Cersei tells Jaime that she and Euron had plotted behind his back to hire the Golden Company and she planned to be his queen, you can see Jaime's heart literally break in 2. This was the woman he had given everything to, had broken oaths for, murdered for, betrayed people for and she was treating him like he was despensable. Like he was nothing, a subject that was stepping out of line. And I think that was the moment he thought, I've lost her, she is no longer my reason to die. When he threatens to leave she doesn't beg him to stay or show him any loyalty, she actually threatens to kill him for treason. I thinks that when Jaime thinks I made a pledge to go north and fight for the living and that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I think Brienne is an important factor in this as he remembers her statements to him in the dragonpit, and he wants to make her proud by honouring his pledge he made to her and the others.

To go north was ultimately a very brave decision on Jaime's part as he knew the welcome he would receive would be unkind and he would not be wanted there but still he is willing to face death to honour the pledge he made. To be an honourable man! What i don't think Jaime was prepared for when he got north was how he would feel seeing Brienne, as I stated in a previous post, s8 ep2 is basically Jaime pining over Brienne and I believe this stems from their first meeting again in his trial. You think, he has literally just left a woman he had loved for years without her showing any kind of affection or loyalty back to him, always let him take any fall he needed to for her and now here is,in a room full of judgement and Brienne has no qualms about standing up in front of those people and vouching that he is a good man, an honourable man and she would without a doubt fight beside him! She defends him knowing it puts her in a position to be ridiculed and possibly turned against but she does it. And in that moment I think he lets these buried feelings begin to surface. He admires her, he adores her, he wants to be good enough for her. He knows she would never ask him to do anything unjustly or unknightly like Cersei did. She has never judged him since sharing that bath at Harrenhal. She has respected him, as a knight and as a noble man. Throughout that entire episode he wants to be near her cause in his mind he doesn't plan on making it through that battle. He wants his last few hours spent with a woman that for a long time he has harboured feelings but because of the toxic hold Cersei had on him he could never admit it or even contemplate and still even now he doesn't want to dive in because what if he dies or worse what if she does. So they stand together in battle and fight for eachother. Not leaving each other sides for fear of not being there to save the other. But then they do survive, they make it through a battle where death is probable.

Now i also want to mention that I think for years Jaime's path in life was being prepared to die for those he loves, he puts himself in harms way numerous times to keep Cersei safe, Tyrion, Tommen, Myrcella and Brienne. He has never been afraid of dying, in fact I think in some way he hoped for it. Hoped for the torture to end, the feeling of failure, to die for a worthy cause so the world finally knew he was an honourable knight. He pledged to fight for the living and I think that's important to remember going into s8 ep4.

Now like everybody I had issues with this episode, I was so angry to begin with, what have they done to Jaime, why are they changing him, but then i watched again and again and actually i realised, they haven't, he is the same way he has always been. With Brienne, he is nervous, he feels unworthy, because all his life he has loved one woman loyally and even she threw him aside, and brienne is 100x the woman Cersei is so how could he ever be good enough, yet after the battle they both realise I think that they both long to be loved by somebody that loves them back, somebody they trust, in that moment just before they make love, Jaime looks at brienne with such awe and admiration and love quoting "I've never slept with a knight" I took that as he has never slept with anybody he deemed noble or honourable or loyal as Cersei is none of those things, and obviously Brienne has never given herself to anyone as she has never trusted anybody enough to let her guard down with but in eachother they have found missing parts of themselves and it's actually a truly beautiful moment. Too short though! And then when Jaime wakes up the next morning for the longest time I could not understand the look he had on his face, he appeared scared, and I thought why, then i realised in that moment he has found something to live for, he can see a future with Brienne, he truly loves her and she makes him happy. And that bloody terrifies him because when do Lannisters ever get happy endings! Even Tyrion can see how happy he is and not once did Tyrion ever say that about him and Cersei. Jaime even tells Brienne he will stay in Winterfell with her instead of going back to KL to help defeat his sister, that's a huge deal for him, he wants a life with Brienne.

But then of course he plummets back to earth with a bang when he finds out what Cersei has done to Dany’s Dragon and Missandei being captured and he realises, he can't just run away from this problem. I think Olenna Tyrell said it best in Season 7 when she was with Jaime during her last moments. “If she has driven you this far, it’s gone beyond your control....she’s a disease, I regret my role in spreading it...you will too” I think finally, Jaime is seeing Cersei as the disease and how he finally needs to put a stop to the spreading of it. This woman controlled him for years, manipulated him, and yet that has helped him know Cersei, know her mind, know what lengths she would go to and the people she would hurt to get what she wants. The north wouldn't be safe, KL wouldn't be safe, Brienne wouldn't be safe not while Cersei still rules. So he makes one of the hardest decisions he ever will, he pledged to fight for the living so that's what he's gonna do, when he leaves without waking Brienne that night I think it's because he literally can't bear the thought of having to saying goodbye probably for the last time. But then she comes to find him and he wasn't prepared for her reaction. Now remember Cersei never begged him to stay when he said he was leaving, nobody has ever ever begged him to stay, to ask him not to put himself in harms way to save somebody else. But Brienne does, she loves him so much the thought of him going to KL and probably sacrificing himself pains her and Jaime can see that in her eyes as she begs him to stay. Jaime didn’t see this coming, he doesn’t anticipate it and you can see in those long moments when he’s clutching her hand, he doesn’t want to go of course he wants to stay, but he knows if he tells her why he has to go to KL, she will follow, she will pledge to stay by his side no matter what, and Jaime can’t bear that, to let Cersei even have the chance of destroying Brienne is not an option. So he breaks her heart, he reminds her of he is, who Cersei has made him become, what hateful things he did to love that hateful woman. Even though this isn’t who he is now, he’s actually hoping for the fact that Brienne will think the worst of him and let him go. It’s awful because you can tell it absolutely breaks Jaime to do this, but he loves Brienne more than the idea of living happily ever after with her, her safety is all he cares about. And what I actually found quite poetic about this moment is that Tyrion had to do the exact same thing with Shae when Cersei found out about her, he had to lie and say she was nothing but a whore to break her heart in hopes she would run and get safe. I find it ironic that the two great loves in these Lannister’s lives have been destroyed because of Cersei. This is why Jaime will not return to save Cersei, or because he loves her. They came into the world together, of course he has to be there when she leaves it, they have unfinished business. But this is not the end of Jaime and Brienne. Their love story is probably one of the most important in GOT. It’s lasted over 7 seasons and I can’t see it culminating in Jaime dying, I think that would be too obvious. They have finally after all this time given him something to live for and I can’t see him not doing everything in his power to get back to the one he loves.

TMR Newt X Reader: All My Fault

"No, I won't allow it." Newt says, voice slightly raised but still athorative and trying to remain calm and collected as he usually is.

"Newt, I'm one of the strongest people here and I'm just as fast as Minho!" you exclaim, irritated with how calm he is at the moment. Normally, it's something you've admired about him. How he's always so calm and collected and knows what to do.

"(Y/N) the answer is no, and that's final!" he raises his voice more, now starting to get irritated with your stubbornness. This arguement has been going on for almost an hour now so he was starting to get angry. You wanted to be a runner, but he won't let you.

"I'm going out there whether you like it or not Newt!"

"No, you're not!"

"Yes I am!"

"Your stubbornness can be really annoying sometimes you know that?! You always want to go run off somewhere you're not supposed to be, and it's tiring having to constantly watch you!" he scolds, glaring at you with harsh eyes.

You gasp step back out of fear from the anger on Newt's face. He's never insulted you like that. He's normally so kind and gentle towards you, always telling you how beautiful you are and how much he adores you. Was it all a lie? You've been through so much together, did it even mean anything to him? He wouldn't have said it didn't have meaning... "You know how I am, you know that I love to explore, and if that's to much for you to handle, then you can sleep by yourself tonight. You. underweight. Prick." you whispered as tears start to spill over the walls of you bottom eyelid and flow down your cheeks. Ever since you and Newt had gotten together, he's never been able to sleep without you next to him, without holding you in his arms and keeping you safe and protected from the horrors of the maze that haunts all gladers.

None of it meant anything to him. None of it. All of the nights he was awake crying and depressed that you helped him through. All of the nightmares, all of it. It was all meaningless. He toyed with you, he wouldn't have said that if he didn't mean it. "I hate you." and with that, you walk away, tears still spilling over as Newt looks at you with widened, shocked eyes at what he had just done, at who he had just hurt.

You walk over to the entrance of the maze, looking deep into the large, mysterious cavern covered in Ivy. "He thinks I'm to weak.....I'll show him too weak." and you run into the maze, unaware of the horrors that await for you inside.

"Alby have you seen (Y/N)? I need to talk to her." Newt asks, wanting to apologize for what he said earlier.

He hasn't been able to get it out of his head. That horrible image of you backing away from him in fear. He never wanted to scare you. Ever. That's why he's always so gentle with you, because even though you're stubborn and strong willed, you're also sensitive. Things like that truly hurt you. He never wanted to do such a thing to you. To frighten such a precious being. A being he held so close to his heart. A being he loved more than anything, more than himself. If he had a choice between you or him, he would choose you without a second thought. He couldn't stand the thought of you getting hurt. And he never wanted to be the person who hurt you. He promised himself he would never be, never be the person to hurt you, never be the person to frighten you, yet here we are.

He doesn't want you to be a runner because he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something had happened to you. You're his whole world, you're what keeps him going, his reason for waking up in the morning. If something bad had ever happened to you then he just wouldn't be able to handle it. He absolutely hates fighting with you, he didn't really mean anything he had said in that argument. He was just angry, he actually finds it cute and down right adorable how you're always curious and wanting to explore. How optimistic you always are about finding a way out. He loves the way your eyes smile with you when you're happy, your adorable laugh that you absolutely hate, but he thinks it's the cutest thing in the whole world. Nothing could ever measure up to how much he adores you, and it would kill him inside if something had every happened, and you were taken away from him. To have your life wrestled away from his grasp, to see your dead, lifeless body covered in blood from a griever attack. He just wouldn't be able to handle it, he loves you too much to take the chance of losing you. He's always worried something will happen to you, which is why he won't let you be a runner. Cause he knows that he would die inside if he ever lost you to the God-forsaken maze.

"No, I thought she was with you." he replies, clearly confused.

"We had an argument and she-" a shiver slithered it's way throughout his entire body as realization hits him like a train on where you are. "Oh my God...." he puts a hand to his mouth as he fight back tears at the very idea of you being in that place.

"What is it?" Alby asks, stopping what he's doing as he walks over and puts a hand on his 2nd-in-comand's shoulder.

"I need a search party to cover every inch of this glade until we find her, cause if I'm right, then we have a big problem." Newt replies, taking his hand off of his mouth and speed walking out of the hut so he can go find the person that holds his whole reason to live.

You came up the month after he jumped off that wall and got his limp, and the moment he saw you something just clicked. He had a reason to live again, to reason to try, to get up in the morning and work hard to get out of this hell-hole. You saved him from himself, and no matter how cheesey that sounds it's very true. He doesn't know what he would have done had you not walked into his life, and into his heart. Just the thought of losing you makes him break down into tears. He's had nightmares of you getting stung, or being attacked by a griever and dying, and he always woke up crying into your shoulder, holding you close, and making you promise that you would never leave him.

All of the gladers met back in the center of the glade to see if anyone had found even a trace that you were anywhere but the maze. "Anything?" Newt asks, Hopefull that he was wrong.

"I found this." Minho said carefully as he handed the skinny British boy a rip of your clothing that must have gotten caught and pulled off.

"Where?" he looks up at the keeper of the runners, praying that he won't say what he thinks he's going to say.

"....by the maze entrance..."

Newt looks over to Alby, silently begging him to allow him to go into the maze to find his beloved. A moment later, the leader nods, and starts giving commands. "Minho, you and Newt will go into the maze, find her, and bring her back here."

Newt immediately grabs a vest that the runners wear with the required gead, and they both head off into the maze, where a certain sandy blond haired boy's reason to keep going lies within.

After making a turn, Newt sees his nightmares come true. The image of his beautiful, strong, (Y/N) lying bloody and helpless on the floor. His blood runs cold, and the world seems to go in slow motion as he dashes towards your beautiful, uncounsious form. Tears run down his face as he holds you close in his arms, remembering the last thing you said to eachother.

"Your stubbornness can be really annoying sometimes you know that?! You always want to go run off somewhere you're not supposed to be, and it's tiring having to constantly watch you!"

"I hate you."

The last thing he said to his beautiful, precious (Y/N) was an insult that he didn't even mean, and the last thing she said to him, was that she hated him. Was that really going to be the last thing that ever said to eachother?

"(Y/N), wake up. Please, I need you. I can't do this is you're not there, I need you to wake up." he full out sobs as he holds your bloody, limp body close, caressing your cheek as he looks at you desperatly, wanting to see those familiar, beautiful (E/C) eyes that always seemed to suck the darkness away.

"We have to get her back now, or she won't make it." Minho reminds, wanting to get you to the Med-Jacks as quick as possible. You and Minho have been best friends since you first came into the Glade. You would never tell him this, but you loved his sassy remarks and how he teases you about you and Newt. He knew you liked Newt before you even did, he could tell, but you hadn't accepted it yet. He always teased you about it, and it didn't exactly get better when you 2 actually got together.

"Right." Newt picks you up Bridal Style and whispers into you ear, tears still falling from his eyes. "It'll be alright love, you'll be ok....you have to be..."

You've been asleep for 3 days and Newt had hardly left your side, Alby worked his part for him, knowing that he'd want to be with you as much as possible until you woke up. He had alot of apologizing to do. He grabbed your small hand in his large one, which was a bit pale from your normal color. But you lost alot of blood so it's not exactly surprising.

"This is my fault." tears drip down his cheeks like rain as he looked at your uncounsious form. "If I hadn't have been so awful to you then none of this would have happened." he brings your hand to his face and kisses the back of it, and just keeps it close to him.

He would give anything for something as simple as a reassuring squeeze from your hand, or even a glance. He never realized how much he held these little things dear, the little things he took for granted. How your eyes smiled, how you always got shy when Minho teased you about you and Newt being together, all these little things that he holds so precious to him. Now here you are, injured, and on a bed with no real proof that you'll actually wake up. But you have to wake up, he can't let those harsh words you said to eachother be the last. He has to make this right, he can't live knowing that you died thinking he thought of you as annoying, stubborn, and tiring. Because you're not, you're the most precious thing he has, you're his world, and he can't keep going on without you there, let alone keep going knowing that such harsh words, were your last. He just can't do it.

Suddenly, he feels the small, delicate hand he's holding to his face squeeze back lightly, and his eyes shoot open and is met with those beautiful (E/C) eyes that has calmed him down for so long.

"I would have gone in there either way, so don't blame yourself." (Y/N) smiles along with here bright shinning eyes, "I love you, even if you don't care for me." more tears start to shed from those beautiful eyes of hers that no words can describe.

Those words hit him harder than any words could describe, he loved her so much. The only time he ever left her side these past 3 days was to either eat or use the restroom. He slept at her bedside. Alby, Minho, and the other gladers tried to get him to go outside for some fresh air and clear his head. Bit he refused to leave until he knew she was going to be ok. Until he knew that he was going to be able to hold her in his arms once again and tell her how much he loves every aspect of her. There is no part of her that he dislikes, he loves every part of her. From her cute little giggle, to her optimism, to how shy she gets when Minho teases her. She was flawless.

He brought a hand up and caressed her cheek, to which she leaned into his touch and looked at him in sadness. Thinking that this will be the last time she will ever get to feel his gentle touch.

"(Y/N), I love you so much." he tucked a loose hair behind her ear and returned his hair to caress her cheek once again as tears brim his eyes. Jon "sweet" Snow

We all know that, Jon, is a sweet ball of fluff. So I’m just sitting here wondering, if he’s soooo in love with Miss D., where the hell is the sweetness and the tenderness he’s shown Sansa for the past 2 seasons? Where is the sweetness and tenderness and closeness with Miss D.?

NOWHERE to be bloody seen.

All of Sansa’s and Jon’s scenes, some of them even when they’re apart, had romantic tropes in them, all of them, so if Miss D. and Jon are supposed to be this big romance, where the hell are the romantic tropes, did they happen off screen, or something? 🤷‍♀️😂

They could've had Jon compliment Miss D’s dress, since she changed outfits pretty much every episode, but nope, they could’ve showed him jealous of Jorah, and possessive towards Miss D., but nope they didn’t, he didn't laugh with Miss D., not even ONCE, he’s not triggered and is totally unbothered by Miss D. hugging Jorah, same thing when Jorah kissing her hands, like he is bothered by every man who mentions Sansa, they don’t even need to touch her, just say her name, and he goes in angry kitten mode, but for Miss D. who he is supposedly MADLY in love with, NOTHING. They could’ve had Miss D. give him/offer him a lighter cloak, since his furr one, from Sansa, is clearly way too heavy for Dragonstone, they could've shown him ditching Sansa’s cloak for the one Miss D. had given him but nope, they could've brought Miss D. up, in the conversation between Jon and Jorah in the wight hunt, but NOPE.

So many missed opportunities, I wonder why 🤔🙃

I asked a friend who doesn't ship neither Jonsa nor J*nerys, and they said this:

 “The way they shot Jon’s and Sansa’s scenes, the sweet moments, the dialogue, the awkwardness between them, I can see why you ship them, I must admit they are, really cute together. (He ships Arya with Gendry and Brienne and Jaimie, thos are his only ships on GoT, the other ships are just meh to him 🙈🤷‍♀️😂)

Jon and Miss D. on the other hand? Dragonstone has been boring af, the scenes between J and D were pretty bland and dull, if you ask me. IF, I had to choose between the two ships, I’d definitely choose Jonsa, because the dynamic between them is amazing, they have a strong foundation, they have a strong bond, and they are happy around eachother, whilst Jon looked miserable in Dragonstone, and around Dany, who kept shoving “Bend the knee” down his throat at any chance, and he couldn't wait to leave in episode 5.

Their scenes were boring and just, off, if they meant to show them fall in love, they failed miserably, they did such a great job with Jon abd Sansa, and I don't even know if they mean to have them end up together, but Jon and Miss D. as a couple, have no depth at all, because the communication, at least to me seemed one sided. They should’ve shot their scenes, the same way they shot Jon’s and Sansa’s, had they done that, they might've convinced me, because I’m just not feeling it, at all. I still don’t ship neither, but yeah, Jonsa would be my choice, Jon and Miss D. feel way too forced, sudden and way too rushed, on Jon’s part at least, and that’s all I have to say about this.” 

100% agree with what he said. 👌🙃

Below I'll list a few quotes and a few scenes, which should not have been in the show, if D&D meant to make us believe their relationship was platonic, and was meant to stay that way.

“I will never let him TOUCH you again, I’ll protect you, I promise.” 

“If I fall don’t bring me back.” (couldnt find a gif for this one sorry) which translates to, she's the one who gave me purpose again, she's the one I'm fighting for, I don't want to come back into a world, where she is gone, where she killed herself, because I couldn't keep her safe, because I lost, because I failed her. Let me stay dead, I couldn't live with myself. 😢 And if, that, is not REAL, powerful LOVE, then I don’t know what is.

I also don’t think we’ve see Jon laugh and smile in 5 seasons, as much as we've seen him smile and laugh, in 2 seasons with, Sansa. 

I mean, look:

Where is that with Miss D.? Where are all these romantic tropes? Where are the scenes where they both open up to each other, where they share their hardships, where they bond? WHERE ARE THEY? WHERE?

When does Jon smile again, after leaving Sansa, and Winterfell? 

With Tyrion, when he arrives in Dragonstone, and when does it do it again? With Tormund & co., after, he’s left Dragonstone.

With Miss D.? Nope, nothing, nada. 

But when do we see just a tiny glimpse, but like a tiny, tiny glimpse of Jon’s sweetness towards Miss D., and all of a sudden, might I add? In 7.06, which was such an odd and weird contrast to how he was behaving towards her just an episode earlier, not even turning to look at her one last time, like, again, he did it with Sansa, if he's sooo in love with Miss D. why not turn and wave goodbye to her too? Jorah turned instead lmao 😂 

So y'all mean to tell me that Jon did a 360° turn, in one episode? Please. 😂

So why the sudden change? 

Well, Jon, bless his heart, saw Viserion die, the moment he sank into the lake, Jon knew, he knew the NK would turn him, just like he turns his horses, just like he turned that Polar bear, so he knows without her dragons, they’re fucked, they’re all fucked, because he saw first hand what her dragons can do, and therefore realizes what an ice dragon can do. You know, for one thing, fly, and second spit blue fire, which according to their legends, is even hotter than normal dragonfire..how nice, right? The Night King has a dragon, that’s the last thing they needed. 

He could have an army of 1.000.000 people, and it would be useless against an ice dragon. He’s kissing her ass in 7.06, and the ass kissing will continue in 7.07, and I assume, partly, even in S8, he has to kiss her ass, because he needs her dragons. 

Do you really think Jon would fall/be in love with someone who can’t get her priorities straight? Who is so power hungry, selfish, and entitled, that she puts the Iron Throne before an army of bloody dead men, white walkers and the Night King? “Do you expect me to just leave my conquering of the 7K behind me, to fight the dead?” emh, yeah? idk if you got the memo, but they’re coming to kill us all, you included? Viserion is dead because of her, the Night King now has a dragon, because of her. 

Had she not been so stubborn, the NK would not have a dragon. “No, as soon as I leave, Cercei comes in.”, let her come in, who tf cares, the dead are coming for the North, for the South, for me, for you, for all of us, and the thing you put first, your priority is that damned throne? “I care about the people” she says, she cares about “the people” my ass, she’s a hypocrite, and Jon knows it, she literally confirmed it to him, in 7.05. 

He’s not in love with her, nor will he ever be, he’s playing the game, he’s working as double agent, again, and doing what he thinks is best, he’s doing what needs to be done to save his people and those he loves, he’s doing it to save the world. 

He saw on the beach in Dragonstone, that she listened to him, partly tho, she still went on a barbeque spree, but she “somewhat” listened to him, so here, I think he realized that to, her, his opinion matteres, that he has/could’ve some power over her, that he could use to his advantage. Now, think if he managed to make her fall for him. 

Jon is not stupid, at all, making her fall for him, might not be the honorable thing to do, but it’s the right thing to do for his people, for Sansa, for Arya, for Bran, and for the rest of westeros, he’s basically saving everyone’s asses. But, especially, to protect those dear to him, he’s willing to play dirty, and he will do it, he is doing it. D*ny is in love with him, at this point, that’s obvious, but Jon? Jon isn’t. 

As so many have pointed out, he has kept himself at a distance, Dany has told him things about her, since day one, she opened up to him, but Jon? He hasn’t opened up with her about anything, about himself, about Sansa, about his death, about why he was killed, about who did it, about the dagger to the heart, about Ghost, and that’s because he does not trust her, he’s weary of her, he knows she’s dangerous, he’s seen her in full tantrum mode, and he’s seen she’s very, very impulsive and hotheaded. 

In his eyes, their only chance, is for him to have influence over her, to be sure she will fight with them, no matter what, to ensure that, when the Northerners don’t kneel, because he bloody well knows they won’t, “the Northerners are proud” – Sansa, she doesn’t barbecue them all, she doesn’t kill Sansa, who the Northerners might make their Queen, after word spreads that Jon bent the knee. 

The thought of Sansa, his sister, the woman who gave him purpose again, the Little Bear (Lyanna), who literally made him King, Arya who is his beloved little sister, which he thought dead, and thst he missed so very much, and Bran who is his beloved little brother who he also thought was dead and he missed very much, being burnt alive for not kneeling, terrifies the hell out of him, obviously, and at the same time makes him determined to do what has to be done. 

We’ve all seen that Miss D., can, be merciful, but, only, if she cares about the person, only if it serves her and her “purpose. People who mean nothing to her? They can burn, usually no trial is even needed, ya know? She’s tyrannical like that. lol 

So yeah, his plan has logic, if they refuse to bend the knee, and she’s in love with him, and he has power over her, to control her and manipulate her, for the greater good, if he pleads for their lives, she won’t burn them, kill them, because that would hurt Jon. 

That’s his plan, and it’s a smart one, dangerous, but smart. Our Jonny boy, is finally starting to listen to the advice Sansa gave him, “you need to be smarter than father” he’s leaving his honor behind and doing not the honorable thing but the smart thing, the thing that will keep his people alive, “you need to be smarter than Robb” he’s not falling in love with Miss D, but instead, unlike his father and his brother, he is doing what has to be done, he won’t repeat his father’s, and brother’s mistakes, he has played dirty before, he’s going to have to do it again. 

Jon poured his soul to Sansa, told her he died, how he died, who did it, what he’s been through, everything, and Sansa did the same, told him everything that happened to her, what ramsay did to her. While with Dany he tells her nothing about him, he is weary of her, and keeps her at a distance. 

So yeah, in conclusion, our sweet, tender boy, hasn’t displayed any sweetness and tenderness towards Miss D., until he realized, “The Night King has a dragon now, fuck. We’re fucked, without her dragons, we’re truly fucked and stand no chance.”, and even then, you can’t compare it to how sweet, tender (and mild lol sorry, I had to 😂😂), and gentle Jon is towards Sansa, because what he’s pulling with Miss D., is an act.

The differences in tone, the conversations, sweetness, touches, lingering looks, between Jon and Sansa and Jon and Miss. D., are so blatantly different/obvious, it’s crazy, mostly because they're pretty much nonexistent between Jon and Miss D. 🙃

At this point, J*nerys is canon, yes, and they will get their b*atbang/sex, but will they ever get the pure, sweet scenes/moments of genuine love, like the ones that we have between Jon and Sansa? No, they won’t, so they can keep and enjoy their boatbang, we’ll have the real deal in S8. ✌️

Ohh what a big secret is this!!! I'm so glad young do isn't carrying his genes. But this is very risky move. Princes don't look like king, rachel thought that when she saw king first. What if their appaerance were very familiar to their biological father�� I wish nam il wasn't gay in this story so i can ship him with queen kyung ran. She deserves true love too. King is being impotent is reason his hate towards women especially powerful women.

It is such a big secret and the queens are very lucky that the King is too bigoted to think that Nam-Il was capable of fathering children or else everyone would be executed. The boys do take after biological father but since the queens worked very hard to make Dong-Wook see himself in the princes, he hasn’t questioned it yet.

It is hard not to ship them, but they are just very good friends brought together by a few intimate moments ^^;; Kyung-Ran will get a happy ending once the king is dead, even if it is just a quiet retirement as the Queen Mother.

So it is tragicomis he try to marry another women even esther. Chang yi mentioned to jae kyung that gisaeng told her young do familiar to king. After this chapter i don't get their point?!?! Thank you for writing this. They are so sweet i'm happy they found eachother�� i want more

Chang-Yi and Jae-Kyung were trying to find ways to make sure that Young-Do doesn’t suspect he isn’t the son of the king. It could be disastrous if Young-Do believed he didn’t have the right to become king because of this birth secret. So they tried to compare him to Dong-Wook in things that wouldn’t really depress him. Like the king but kinder was supposed to tell him that he was maintaining his ruse of obedience that the king would like to know.

Kyung-Ran, Chang-Yi, and Jae-Kyung have invested a lot in both boys being Dong-Wook’s sons to everyone that matters. They stand to lose their lives if it is ever discovered. Sadly, that means lying to Young-Do and Myung-Soo.

She is so reckless lol So 3 days... can't wait too :D

I am totally blindsided by this revelation! Looking back, I can see the hints you put in, but still, WOW!!! Totally serves the king right, that his line will not continue on the throne. Hmm… can’t imagine that the king could know. This is someone who executed a concubine for not wanting to get pregnant! Would love for him to know, though, maybe on his deathbed!!! Wouldn’t even be a just punishment to die with this truth, but would at least be something.

Now that we know who Young-Do's father really is, changes so much! Queens and Go Nam-Il must have been super careful! No one suspected? Even servants? Especially because queen took so long to get pregnant? Also, how long was it before king, when he was still the crown prince, revealed his cruelty streak? Did his father the king hold him in check as crown prince? Was his father a good king? Yay! Love Go Nam-Il being in a relationship with his own sons! :)

If any of the servants or court ladies suspected, no one thought it was a good idea to say anything. The queens were very careful and only had sex with him when Dong-Wook was out of the palace.

And just to insult him even more, Nam-Il may be gay, but he was a considerate enough lover to make both queens orgasm because that’s a thing I care about ^^;;

The previous king did a lot to prepare Dong-Wook and while he noticed his cruel streak, he did not ever punish it. He was kind of in denial about it and the power of a blood heir was important to him. He was spoiled in a way and allowed whatever he wanted, as long as he fulfilled whatever duty the king put out for him. And he wasn’t cruel to Kyung-Ran or Jae-Kyung until the women had no real way of leaving him. It became worse for Kyung-Ran when she didn’t get pregnant and miscarried easily. It was why she was so open with Jae-Kyung about Nam-Il. She decided to take all of the blame for not being fertile. It only worked for so long because, well, it was too risky to always use Nam-Il as a surrogate.

Some of the concubines also figured this out and used surrogates but since they only had girls, Dong-Wook did not make them queen.

Glad that YD is taking his own promises to R (to protect her from the king and to honor her reputation) seriously. Very important to R as he proves that he is someone she can trust and depend on. Can see why people are talking because he is making it very clear that he is not sleeping with her before the wedding, which is weird to others. That word again! The king does think YD is neglecting R, but YD obviously has a very different definition of the same word!

And Young-Do feels Rachel’s opinion is the one that matters now :D

Queens and concubines must be so relieved! Although can imagine the king taking out his frustrations with his dysfunction on his victims, just adding to the abuse. Interesting that king still threatens Rachel in this way, even though he cannot follow through. It is an effective way to instill the terror that he wants, I guess, along with trying to hit her.

The women are relieved, especially after the first few times, Dong-Wook stopped trying because of the embarrassment, but yes, he did get violent during the times he couldn’t get it up ;_;

But since Rachel doesn’t know about his dysfunction, he can use his threats as a tool to scare her even if he can’t follow through.

Family wanting favors! Both sides, grandfather was Esther’s father, and uncle was the one from the Yoo’s? Opinion on the Yoo side clear, but what about her mother’s side? Does her grandfather’s love and favor towards her mother extend to Rachel too? Since her grandfather is at court, and has influence there, could she try to get him to support her in the palace?

Rachel has a lovely grandfather on the Lee side. He visited Esther once a year and Esther had Rachel practice her writing by sending him letters. He has tried to dote on Rachel since her arrival. In a way, the king is buying the Lee family’s influence with Rachel (since he was unable to do it with Esther). That influence is both Rachel’s weapon and her shield. Lee Jae-Shin has made it clear that Rachel has his full support (he’s been sending donations to her school and quietly advising from the shadows).

Dong-Wook wants Lee Jae-Shin as his Prime Minister. He knows he is weak and his health is waning. Lee Jae-Shin isn’t ambitious enough to steal power from the throne but he does have a firm hand. He was the previous king’s prime minister but retired after Esther refused to become a concubine. Kim Nam-Yoon became Prime Minister instead and then rebelled.

Khitan princess already known to be fertile. Rachel is unknown. If Khitan princess not married now, could come back later as an option, if Rachel takes too long. Wouldn’t that be an issue for the men at court, though? If she is known to have a lover, who fathered a child with her, how to make sure that any baby she has after marriage would be from her husband?

If Khitan is falling apart, the king would still want to ally himself with them? And bad brother Hyun-Jin may want the princess? I guess it would be a step up for him. He seems like an ambitious one, although not willing to work for it. (first younger generation that seem actively on the bad category)

One of the cool things about Khitan that I learned, is that like most nomadic societies, they are more egalitarian and less restrictive about female virginity. The princess having a baby with her bodyguard is not unusual and it would not be something that could preclude a political marriage on their end >.>

The king probably would want to absorb some of their army in return for stability and noble titles. That’s his goal in accepting the princess into their court and potentially marrying her to Young-Do >.>

You have no cause to whine, Myung-Soo! You were the one who said something you had no intention of following through on, to get a rise out of Rachel! Those words spoken at the first meeting, and never fulfilled just shows that your words can’t be trusted. Haha, Young-Doo is protesting too much! Why even have thought to smack his brother, if his own thoughts were not tending in that direction!!! Love these two as brothers working together and watching out for each other!

Myung-Soo will have to take his lumps for that >.>

Contrast between Young-Do and Myung-Soo again. Young-Do is going to marry someone he loves who loves him back, and he will not accept another woman. Myung-Soo has someone he loves who loves him back, but cannot be with her, and he will do whatever necessary to stay on the good side of the king, even sacrificing himself for his brother’s sake.

I hope to show that Myung-Soo’s choice isn’t wrong even though it is different than Young-Do’s. He is also a man of his time but he loves his brother that he would sacrifice a monogamous relationship with Ye-Sol just so Young-Do could have a happy life with Rachel. (And it is important to note, we do not have Ye-Sol’s opinion on this yet >.>)

Even if Rachel would be ok with Myung-Soo guarding her, still think Bo-Na is a better choice! She loves Rachel more and would fight harder to protect her! Impressive that Bo-Na led a battalion! Was it part of her official duties, or did something happen during battle and she stepped in? Does what she did affect how the king views her?

Bo-Na is the best choice!

Bo-Na has been leading troops since she was sixteen. She is a military genius, an amazing warrior, and good leader. The men in the military respect her, even after they found out that she was sometimes a girl and sometimes a boy. The only person who really has a problem is her brother. Young-Do intends to give Bo-Na her father’s army when he retires, a plan that is publicly known and mostly supported.

The king is ignoring her military service for the most part and trying to figure out who to marry her to so he doesn’t have to deal with her without offending the one general who stayed loyal.

Love that Rachel and Young-Do are so excited about the wedding and so open about wedding night! (week!!!) Don’t think lack of sleep is going to hold Young-Do back much ;) Love that people getting tired of all the pda. Just three days! Yes! And also, oh no!!! (things have been too smooth!!! what is Gwynne going to do??!?)
