If it helps with all the people making grass jokes and planting flowers in your hair jokes, you technically dont need to have grass or moss hair to grow plants. Plants are very determined to survive and can actually grow on human flesh, there's this girl who got a seed stuck in her cheek and the seed grew to a complete sprout before she finally found and removed it. The flowers in/on your head can also be pollinated by vulture bees, which feast on rotting flesh instead of nectar. Their honey is a darker color and their hives always have these fleshy roots attaching them to whatever surface so maybe you could have them on your back to alert you of any enemies sneaking up. Since they eat rotting flesh they can pollinate your flowers and eat any dead skin cells of yours. You tend to get injured often too, and ignore said injuries, so to make things easier they could also eat any dead flesh from wounds whether from healing or from negligence on your part. Isn't that really cool? You could be a walking garden coupled with bees and you dont even have to actually have plant hair, isn't that nice? Nature is amazing.
