I’m sorry for having posted a simple black picture for #blackouttuesday and not include any insight or links that are helpful for petitions or donations for BLM. That wasn’t helpful on my part at all.
As a Hispanic young girl, I don’t know the struggles of the black community, but I stand with you. I’m only here in the U.S. because my family immigrated here from Mexico, and I don’t know what I would do if ICE ever took my family. I’m sorry for your loses and I pray for you to be able to not look at an officer and shudder with fear because of everything that has happened. So sorry.
I’ll have helpful links on this post. I’m too young to donate, but I’m signing every petition possible. So if you need me to sign anything, inbox or message me and I’ll be glad to do so. 2020 started off horrible and it keeps getting worse. This is it. After centuries of struggles for the black community simply because many can’t see past color, this needs to end. For our future children to not have to fight these battles, WE NEED THIS TO STOP. We should always remember the names of those who died at the hands of police brutality. Stop focusing on trying to stop store raids and focus on stopping murders of black people. We really, as a nation, need to stop.
As a member of the LGBT+ community, I’m reminded that it’s because of beautiful transgender black women and black queer people that the road to justice for the LGBT+ began. It would be amazing if we took this month not to only celebrate LGBT, but to help BLM in every way possible and always remembering who fought for us before, and who is fighting for us now.
I pray and stand for BLM.

This pride month more than ever the LGBTQ community needs to remember that it was Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman, that made where we are today possible
We need to stand with BLM and protestors just how they have stood with us
The first pride was a riot and we need to stand with them while their protests and riots go on
Nothing will change if we don’t stand with them and we need to remember the black members of our community, especially the black trans women, who are constantly being murdered by cops and their supporters
Never forget George Floyd

THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON (2017)
History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable. It happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities. — Marsha P. Johnson
Queens started being filed out and being put into police cars, and guns had been drawn. Molotov cocktails were flying. And I’m like, “Oh my God, the revolution is here. Thank God. You’ve been treating us like shit all these years? Uh uh. Now it’s our turn.” — Sylvia Rivera

The first pride was a riot, more specifically a riot against police violence. Trans women of colour like Marsha P. Johnson paved the way for the celebration of pride today. You cannot celebrate your pride this month, or any month if you aren’t also supporting Black Lives Matter and the riots going on against police violence right now. Us white LGBTQ+ need to stand up for our black siblings and their rights, their struggles. We need to amplify their voices and show any support we can.Hey! Better yet, reblog this version:
Extensive BLM Google doc including places to donate to, education resources, etc

To all my black followers and friends, stay safe.
Also, I would like to add that black lives have always mattered, will always matter.
It’s awful that we even have to say that because it should be a given. However, we need to say it loud and clear for the racists.
We cannot be silent.

Just a reminder that “the foods good” is a fucking ridiculous reason to excuse going to chick fil a. If you put good food over peoples wellbeing, you are fucking disgusting.

what’s okay: poking fun at homophobes and all the homophobia we as gay people experience through innocent straight memes and straight jokes
what not okay: stooping to the homophobes’ level proclaiming you are a heterophobe who wants all the straights dead or wants to harm them
If someone is a self-proclaimed “heterophobe” they are praised on this fucking Hellsite. If someone is a self-proclaimed “homophobe” on this website, they are evil and should die - because you’re all fighting for equality.
Tumblr makes me hate being in the LGBTQ+ community because it reminds me that I will forever be associated with people like this.

queer person: don’t assume someone’s sexuality
translation: stop assuming everyone is straight because it plays into heteronormativity and is damaging towards queer individuals
straight person: don’t assume someone’s sexuality
translation: it makes me uncomfortable that you don’t think everyone is straight until they explicitly say otherwise like i do also assuming someone is queer is inappropriate because you’re sexualising them but assuming someone is straight is not and therefore acceptable

why am i all of a sudden finding posts that i’ve only seen screenshots of?
most tumblr jokes are utterly embarassing to say in public but today i said to someone “bold of you to assume i have dignity” and i won’t lie it was the most powerful I’ve felt in years

I found it. This legendary post.
Next time a conspiracy theorist tries to tell you ‘what really happened’, present a more outlandish theory and accuse them of covering up the truth.
