I really want to convey how unabashedly charming this silly little tactician is. It helps explain how they keep the order intact on a social level and also why this keeps happening:

this is such a tiny stupid petty dumb sticking point but why do people act like hot-water baths are ludicrously unrealistic in a DnD setting no matter what the setting or context actually is

one time in melliwyk's campaign we were staying in a luxury inn in a dwarven stronghold partially populated by warforged and built inside a volcano and each room had its own private bath with running water on tap and when I/ melliwyk was like 'hot water? 👀' the DM gave me a scathingly incredulous 'no??' like that was the world's dumbest question

what do you mean NO. they've figured out PRESSURIZED INDOOR PLUMBING but not GETTING THE WATER HOT????

My bug phobia has actually gotten sooo much worse in adulthood like I used to LOVE moths and butterflies but now even seeing a close up picture of a butterfly on a screen has the capacity to cause me distress if I see its little legs and stuff…… maybe it’s bc I moved to the city when I turned 18 and I’m not surrounded by all kinds of bugs 24/7 anymore

#I was always extremely irrationally scared of bugs but it wasn’t quite this bad #it was mostly spiders #the only bugs I ever rlly see now are those little water bugs which terrify me #and flies and the occasional moth MAYBE #and sometimes roaches outside at night #and ants #and bees in the summer #all freak me out badly #if I saw a spider in my room at this point in my life I would probably kill myself #even like ladybugs and fireflies creep me out now and I loved them so much as a kid #idk if they count as bugs or what their deal is but worms make me want to actually set myself on fire #and I used to play in the dirt and look for them when I was a kid and collect them in a red solo cup LMAO

fell asleep at 5 am after literal hours of desperate, uncontrollable sneezing fits and woke up this morning with a twitchy, allergic nose…

it’s already a sneezy day and i haven’t even gotten out of bed…lord help us all

#until my entire face stops itching and i can stop wiggling my nose around and muffling sneezes into my sweatshirt #y’all will have to hear me complain endlessly about it #god i’m so itchy #i dump out bleach everyday at work and it’s started making me sneeze recently but yesterday it just added fuel to the allergic fire #and i pretty much started and couldn’t stop #everything is setting me off my nose is so sensitive right now #i’m so glad it’s my day off so i can just rub at it as carelessly as j want i’m so itchy #the amount of hitching and false starts i’ve had just typing these tags omg #yeah it’s going to be a day #my nose is driving me crazy #i ended up muffling my desperate rapid allergic fits into blankets and my sweatshirt for over an hour last night #and god it felt good to just sneeze and sneeze and sneeze even if i was basically suffocating myself trying to muffle them #they were so harsh my voice is raspy this morning #yeah.
