I need to read something buddiee.... Whats your favorite buddie fic? And your favorite that you have written? If you don't mind sharing ofc! Thanksss~
My all time favorite buddie fic is listen to you breathing (is where I wanna be), I legit reread this every month, it as presumed dead fic that makes me cry my eyes out every time but it is AMAZING. @buckgettingstruck recommended me Buck Day Afternoon and I've been thinking about it since I read it lol. when the hardest part is over is a short Eddie begins coda that I think about all the time. the stick-around fundamentally changed me as a person and has the best opening line I've ever seen in fanfiction. Don't take the money is time loop lawsuit fic that might be the only good lawsuit fic I've ever read. drench yourself in words unspoken is a fic where everything is the same but Eddie is a best selling romance author and Buck is reading his books that I just love. a night in early october is a shorter getting together fic that I read a lot because it feels warm, I don't know how else to explain, it makes my heart warm.
And written by me, my favorite fic I've written is tell me how it feels (say it ain't so) and i love that it is my most popular fic lol it's a fic dealing with the cemetery scene. Followed by it's gravity after all, where Buck and Eddie are trapped in an elevator and talking shit out. Wedding bells were just alarms is my most recent fic and has my favorite getting together I've ever written, where Buck proposes to Natalia, picks a fight with Eddie and they proceed to have a really bad week. I need to recommend this one because I want people to read it even tho I know why people aren't reading it, but in too deep to find a safe way out it's a very short, deep with the imagery, unrequited love type thing of Eddie realizing his feelings during madneys wedding. And people seem to like in case you don't live forever, that one is Buck and Eddie trapped in a collapsed building.
#i got carried away#people be proud of me i didn't rec the trauma fic kspsksoakaoa#anyway#yeah#911#buddie#i really need a tag for asks#anon 😌

heyy!! I LOVE your Poly Plastics fics, do you think you could do one where Regina's father has an outburst at home one day and Reguna realizes she has to take her little sister (4 year old Kylie) out of there, so the Plastics support this and since Regina's parents don't even care much about their daughter they don't give a damn, then you show the 3 of them taking care of Kylie who was a little shaken and needy (from getting too attached to them)??
No Looking Back
|| poly!plastics shenanigans
|| Warnings; regina's father being a bitch, regina standing up to him, protecting kylie, swearing, agnst/comfort
|| Summary; Regina comes home one night to her father yelling at Kylie. She takes her to Gretchen's to protect her.
Requests open!
Started; october 16th
Finished; october 16th
~~~
Regina knew her parents weren't the greatest, there were many times where she would hear her father yelling. Or be the one being yelled at. She'd learnt to just sit and tolerate it, knowing that was the safest option. It wasn't something she wanted people to know about her either, because then that becomes all you're painted as. So she even kept it from her girlfriends, Gretchen and Karen. Until one night.
One night where she had come home late to hear her father yelling at her four year old sister, Kylie. Who definitely didn't deserve whatever screaming match he was having with her. Regina shared a glance with her mother, who had been standing off to the side looking upset. She knew her mom wasn't about to do anything; which left things to her. Regina knew she had to get Kylie safe and that's just what she was going to do.
If she thought of her father as just another nerd, another jerk she had to deal with at school. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard. She's yelled at those people plenty of times. She could do this. Taking a breath, she marched up the stairs and to Kylie's room. Stepping between her father and her sister.
"Kylie, cover your ears." Regina demanded, glancing at Kylie. Who nodded and listened, despite the tears rolling down her cheeks. Regina looked back at her father. Could she even call him that? He never acted like one." Back the fuck away from her! You wanna yell? Yell at me!" She screamed, giving him pause for a moment. Regina's hardly ever yelled back at him. He wasn't ready for this.
"Regina. Go back downstairs, not everything is about you." His glare tore into her soul, but she kept her ground. She wasn't about to back down. In fact, she went as far as spitting in his face. Which only fuelled his anger." You little-" He was seconds from striking her, but Regina picked up Kylie and ran out of the room with her. Her dad followed after, so Regina kept going. Not even giving her mom a second glance as she ran to her jeep. Setting Kylie in the front and making sure she was buckled up good. Yeah, Regina knew this wasn't legal to have her in the front. And without some kind of booster. But she didn't have the time for any other options.
She got out of there as fast as she could without looking back.
"Kylie, I need you to take a breath and grab my phone for me. Okay?" She glanced at the girl then back at the road, Kylie nodded. Struggling to take a breath at first but doing her best to regulate her emotions.
She grabbed Regina's phone and looked at her older sister," what now?" She asked, her tone a quiet murmur.
"Press the numbers 6754." She continued to coach her through what she needed her to do. Kylie did just that, Regina made sure Kylie had learnt how to use a phone at a young age for emergencies. And Kylie's used it a few times to get ahold of her, normally stealing their mother's phone." Do you see Gretchen and Karen's picture in my contacts? Can you call one of them?"
Kylie clicked on Gretchen, the phone rang for only a second before Gretchen answered, sounding pretty excited that Regina actually called her." Gina! Oh my god! Hi!!"
Kylie smiled when she heard Gretchen, having put the phone on speaker. Gretchen was definitely one of her favourites. She always talked to her when she came over." Gren!!!" Kylie smiled at the phone.
Gretchen paused for a moment, then laughed softly." Kylie, honey. Did you take Regina's phone?" Her tone shifted to softer, more kid suitable.
"No, I told her to call you. We're coming over." Regina spoke up, letting Gretchen know she was there too. Gretchen's eyes widened.
"Wait what? Did something happen?"
"Daddy was mean.." Kylie mumbled, Gretchen frowned at that. What did Kylie mean? How mean was he for Regina to be bringing her?
"I'll explain more later when she's in bed. I just had to get her out." Regina sighed, she was a good distance from the house now. She finally gave herself the chance to breathe. Loosening her grip on the wheel. Gretchen could tell how stressed Regina seemed and that worried her, she felt bad for the blonde.
"Yeah, that's okay. I'll set up a space for her. My parents are out for a few nights so you can stay as long as that. I'll see if I can convince them to let you stay longer when they get home." Gretchen replied.
"Thanks, Gren. Seriously." Regina wasn't one to thank people, so Gretchen could tell she was serious even without her saying the 'seriously' part.
"I'm here for you, baby. No matter what. I love you." Gretchen told her, Regina tensed a little when the L word was said. Gretchen and Karen said it a lot, but Regina didn't say it often. Though they knew she loved them. Even without her saying," want me to invite Karen?"
"Yeah. Yeah, call her. I'm about five minutes away. See you in a minute. Kylie, hang up for me?" Regina glanced at her sister who frowned and looked ready to cry again.
"I wanna talk with Gren!" She whined, Regina's grip retightened on the wheel. She didn't know how to handle stuff like this.
"We can see her in a few minutes, if you hang up." Regina tried to negotiate.
"Regina, I got it. I'll see you soon Ky, okay? Really soon, promise. And we can talk as much as you want, how does that sound?" Gretchen was better with kids, which Regina really appreciated.
"Okay!!!" Kylie was smiling and giggling again.
"Thank you." Regina sighed, relieved Gretchen helped her out.
Gretchen hung up the phone and they soon arrived at Gretchen's house. Regina picked up Kylie and carried her inside, shutting the door behind her with her foot as Gretchen came over.
She took Kylie from Regina's arms and smiled wide," Kylie! Hey, girlie!!" Kylie giggled as Gretchen carried her. Regina was tempted to ask for a hug too, needing more comfort right now than she ever carried to admit. Gretchen noticed almost immediately and, keeping an arm around Kylie, offered a hand to Regina." Come here, baby."
Regina let her guard down just a bit, accepting the group hug. She was trying not to cry, the whole night had been stressful for her. But now she could relax. Her father wouldn't know where to look for them; one of the plus' to having a very distant parent. They don't know where any of your friends live. Even her mom, who did know her friends, didn't know. They'd be safe at Gretchen's.
The door opened and Regina nearly jumped out of her skin, but it was just Karen.
"Jesus fuck, Karen." She sighed, resting a hand on her chest to steady her heart. Karen frowned, not sure what she did wrong.
Kylie pointed at Regina," sis said a bad word."
"Regina, no bad words." Gretchen was trying to keep a serious face and not laugh, Regina just rolled her eyes. It's not like she could have helped it.
"I don't get it." Karen said.
The rest of the night was spent with the girls taking care of Kylie, Gretchen did the most but she didn't mind. She liked spending time with the girl. After they got her to bed, Regina explained what had happened. Then Gretchen and Karen focused on comforting Regina. Lots of cuddles, praise and kisses. Assuring her that she did the right thing for Kylie.
Reunion: A Flash Fiction
Summary: October 17, 1963. Mrs. Kennedy finally returns from her trip to Greece, and her husband is waiting for her and ready to welcome her home.
Tags/Notes + Pairing: jfk x jackie kennedy, mentions of past infidelity, improved relationship, loss of child mention, caroline and john jr. are in it too lol.
Word Count: 897 words
A/N: this one is shorter and a bit messier than my last fic :,( i’ve been having quite a bit of brain fog so unfortunately some things may be a little off. sorry guys!! i hope you enjoy it <3 divider was made by @/ aquazero. hope you guys caught the jackie 2016 reference ;)
Jack sits in the backseat of the car, nervously playing with his hands in the darkness. Every so often, he looks out onto the empty runway only illuminated by blinking lights. Jackie will be here any minute now, but why do those minutes have to pass so slowly?
The past few weeks had been awfully rough without Jackie; The depression and headaches he acquired from his withdrawals after finally being able to stay abstinent and cut himself away from the rest of his ‘women’ was rough. He’d been so used to that lifestyle, he never realized how addicted he was until he found himself desperately writing a letter at midnight to a woman he had ended his affair with over a year prior. When he read the letter the next morning, he embarrassingly shoved it in the bottom of his desk with the intention of discarding it.
Having to continue to mourn the loss of Patrick on his own after Jackie left was even worse. Sure, he had dealt with plenty of things on his own before, and Jackie had been there for him up until the day she left; but there were times at work where he felt so alone. He didn’t dare bother his wife about it when she was recuperating from the loss. So when he got off the phone with Jackie, there was no one to call, no one to talk to, and no one to see. Just cabinet members and paperwork. When he cried in his wife’s arms that day, he felt as if his eyes were opened to a new world. To be comforted by someone he loved dearly and not shunned for crying made him feel…loved… Though this was an incredible realization for him, he didn’t feel comfortable opening himself up like that with anyone else; at least not yet. Joan was there for him when he secluded himself in his room and didn’t come out, and he’d gotten a few sympathy calls here and there; but it just wasn’t the same as that morning when he felt Jackie lovingly wrap her arms around him as he let his emotions run like a river.
“Daddy, look!” Caroline exclaims, pointing out the window with that innocent smile she shares with her father. “I think I see mommy!” She continues, climbing over her dad and brother to see the plane landing in the once empty runway. Jack can’t help but smile at her excitement and
“I think you’re right, Buttons! Lets go out there and meet her. But stay close to me okay? Don’t run out in front of the plane before they put the stairs down.” He instructs, opening the car door and stepping out before taking Caroline and John’s hands into his.
“I wanna go on the plane!!” John shouts, pulling against his fathers hand as they approach the runway. Jack does his best to hide his own excitement as the stairs are placed in front of the door. And as soon as the door opens, Jack bends down as best he can.
“Go on, go give mommy a hug.” He tells them before rising and letting them rush off ahead of him and climb the stairs.
As Jack follows his children, he finally comes face to face with the woman he missed so dearly.
Jackie looks just as beautiful as she did when she left, and as she rises from greeting Caroline and John to look him in the eyes, she looks just as happy to see him as he does for her.
Without a word, Jack leans over and takes Jackie in his arms. His back issues and lack of experience in physical contact makes his hugs quite stiff, but Jackie doesn’t mind one bit.
Jackie pulls back slightly and wraps her arm around her husbands neck, pulling him in for a kiss.
“I missed you, Jack.” She sighs, shuffling the two of them away from the open door so that they can’t be photographed by the swarm of paparazzi outside and holding him close.
“I missed you too, Jackie…” Jack smiles, letting go of his wife and glancing at the open door leading out the crowds of photographers awaiting the First Lady’s return.
“You’ve got quite an audience out there…Are you ready?” He asks teasingly, brushing a lock of hair out of Jackie’s eyes.
“Of course, I love crowds.” She replies, her voice laced with sarcasm. She pulls away from her husband and reveals herself to the sea of cameras. They run their films and snap their flashbulbs at the family as they descend the stairs and make their way to the car waiting for them. Jackie is the first to enter the car, then the children, and finally Jack.
“It’s good to have you home, Mrs. Kennedy. Now, why don’t you tell me about Greece. I take it that you had a good time?” Jack teases, reaching his arm over their children clinging to their mother so that he can put his arm over her shoulder.
“You’ll know when we get home….” Jackie smiles back, giving her husband a discreet wink before looking down at Caroline and John, who had managed to fall asleep in their mothers lap. “But first, I think it’s time for bed.” She finishes quietly just as the car comes to a stop in front of the White House…
reading round up REDO!
sorry for the double tag, first post didn’t save properly and i wasn’t able to give you all your flowers. please find them under the cut. i’m so embarrassed.
original here:
fic list:
assorted works of @ceruleanmusings <3
Blood Diamond; Year Five
ahh!! the blood diamond one shots are always so enjoyable to read and that make me think so much about my own characters and their backstories and childhoods as well. this one in particular really got to me; there isn't much room for childhood discussion in btrtv and the way you characterize young kendall and james made me MELT. so accurate to real kids, first of all, but there was so much shared about each other with just a few lines of dialogue. katie tugging james' hair at the end is like. the perfect precursor to their relationship as they grow older too lmao! i always look forward to your work :) <3
2. assorted works of @partiallypearl / @praetoravila <3
adorable kaela blurb
lolive ghost blurb
mighta found the one (but i need you too)
'cause i don't wanna keep you guessing
ipod shuffle challenge
all over again
pearl... darling.... there is nothing i love seeing more than your lovely works! from our dms to your full works, you are truly so creative it blows my mind! this month was no exception. the kaela blurb already had me by the throat... those two mean the world to me i mean it! and the various lolive blurbs and all over again... lord you had me crying with the last chapter of that one... and of course... the wag au one-shot... you are so sweet to me and my baby girl roxy, and that blurb had me literally giggling and kicking my feet hehehe. tysm for the sweet gift for my birthday <3 and your iPod shuffle challenge was so interesting! i love all the stories you chose to tell and how every word in the small drabbles packed a punch!!!! lovely as always <33 tysm for sharing :)))
3. assorted works of @selangkir <3
promptober one-shot!!
aughauifafvaibie there are never enough words to describe how well you write katie and the knights. even if this was just a short story reworked to be in kendall's pov, the strong ties between them are evident and i love the little quirks and rituals they all have that you sneak in there. how kendall instantly knows something wrong with katie, how katie pushes back against him, everything is just *chefs kiss* excited to read katie's pov if you ever wish to share that as well!!! <33
4. assorted works of @inkameswetrust <3
date night
god. in kames we DO trust. everything about this one-shot had me going through like. every single emotion possible for a person to feel. lyn is the character of all time + i love how james (and kendall, reluctantly) got to participate in a scheme akin to their youth to make sure her date goes perfectly :)) and the dual line between what was going on with lyn and Nathan helped kendall and james learn more about each other - even after being together for so long!! thought about this one for days ngl and the drawings you made live in my head rent free. im just 1000% obsessed thank you so so so much for sharing :)
5. assorted works of @naquey / @ithinkyouhealedmyheart <3
ghostwriter ch 3-8
AHHHHH RONNIE MY SWEET MY LOVE MY EVERYTHINGGG god the story you are weaving her for and kendall have me (affectionately) tearing my hair out. the way these chapters set up her relationships with most of the main characters is just so special. though everyone is just a little bit different than one another, and all the teens have their own special quirks, they're all still able to get along and make friends. i imagine in the tough Hollywood industry, that's all they have. ronnie slowly getting to know and opening up to the other girls, the band, guitar dude, and everyone else is so sweet! each chapter brings a new understanding to her character, and i love every little thing about her :) getting to read her and kendall's story is a privilege!! so excited for their future heheh <33
6. assorted works of @icegirl2772 <3
Take A Shot In The Dark Ch. 16
eee kaelyn!!! my sweet sweet girl!! this chapter follows one of my favorite episodes, and i love all the special additions you made for kaelyn and her story. so happy to read that she and neil are over... now james can step in and pick up her broken heart!! akifaiufaiufbaie i can't wait for them to get together, you've got me on the edge of my seat :))) <3
7. assorted works of @fiyero3305 / @fiyero0533
promptober one-shots!!
MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much for using my prompt list, i'm so happy you were able to find inspiration from the things i put together this month :) though i am just a casual fan of the umbrella academy, from my two seasons of knowledge, i'm confident in saying i love your version of the characters even more lol! each blurb brought in a new sibling dynamic, something of your own to bring to the table. just blew me away, truly. my favorite was the cemetery prompt you wrote with ben. got my heart squeezing harder than ever before! and the one with the psychic and klaus and allison was soooo so so good. so happy you were able to get these out and share them ;) looking forward to more in the future
8. assorted works of @bunnyfern
a field of blooming tulips
ahh!! my lovely crowe!! i love her and james' story so much :)) the bad boy chapter never disappoints... crowe getting hints of home and talking to luka in the middle was so great! i love getting little glimpses of her life back home :) her ever-evolving relationships with the others at the palm woods is so adorable too!! always a pleasure to read <3
~~~~~~
It was Trevor’s idea. And according to him it took him exactly two months and 13 days to talk me into it.
“Absolutely not,”
“Come on, babe, it’ll be hilarious!”
“Are you forgetting how public your job is? Thousands of people are going to see it and thousands of your fangirls will be talking about it.” Was how the conversation went for the entirety of those two and a half months. From the end of August to almost the middle of October, Trevor begged and begged for us to use his couples costume idea for Halloween. And each time he got shot down. He even went as far as getting Jack, Cole and Jamie in on his scheming. Having them text me at the most random times asking what I thought of their costume ideas - all of them being the couples costume that Trevor continued to bug me about. He even went so far as to buy the materials needed to make the costume, using the argument of me not needing to buy anything for the costume.
I didn’t cave until I walked in the front door of the apartment one day to find him attempting to make the costume himself and making a bigger mess than necessary. Construction paper and pieces of fabric were strewn all over the living room and around the hockey player sitting cross legged in front of the TV.
“Trevor-”
“Look, you don’t even have to lift a finger to make the costumes! All you’ll have to do is put yours on!” He exclaimed with a huge smile on his face and fabric glue smeared all over his hands and somehow his cheek as well. I couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of my boyfriend looking like a little kid with their arts and crafts project.
“Alright fine, you win, Z,” I sighed, crouching down beside him as he let out a loud cheer. A laugh escaped my lips as he pressed a wet kiss to my cheek before turning back to the project in front of him. “I guess I can lend you some help,” I said, snatching up what appeared to be the costume intended for me to wear.
“Good because I actually have no clue what I’m doing,” Trevor said while managing to get even more glue and a piece of construction paper stuck to his face. I shook my head, laughing as I picked the yellow strip from his face.
“That was more than obvious, Z.” He exclaimed in protest as I laughed to myself, focusing on the project in my hands and trying to decipher what my boyfriend had been attempting to create. Out of nowhere I felt fingers attack my sides causing me to drop the supplies and cry out in surprise as Trevor practically tackled me to the ground.
“What was that? Huh, babe?” He asked as he continued to tickle up and down my sides. My breath came out in gasps and laughs as I made some attempt to answer him and push him off of me. His hands paused, being placed on either side of my head as I caught my breath. I looked up to see Trevor hovering over me, his shaggy hair falling into his face as his eyes examined mine, a prominent smirk on his face. “Wanna take it back?” I hesitantly nodded my head, staring up at his bright blue eyes. “I wanna hear you say it.”
“Your arts and crafts skills could use some work but you’re not as hopeless as I would’ve thought, Zegras,” I huffed out. He seemed to consider my answer, his eyebrows furrowing and his mouth tilting down slightly. I cringed slightly, mentally preparing for my ticklish sides to be attacked once again as he continued to hover over me and keep me pinned to the floor.
“Works for me,” he uttered moments later before he took me by surprise and crashed his lips into mine. My hands finding their way into his hair and one of his finding my hip.
Much to Trevor’s delight, we won the Ducks’ unofficial Halloween Costume Contest. My doubts on the costume followed me all the way to the Terry’s front door where Trevor asked if I was ready to head in. I nodded, mentally assuring myself that this wasn’t as stupid of an idea as I thought. Troy and Dani were the first to greet us as we entered their house and the costume automatically earned their approval.
“Y’know, Z, I didn’t believe you when you said you two would have the best costume this year but I think I stand corrected,” Terry exclaimed, clapping Trevor on the shoulder who smiled smugly at me causing me to roll my eyes.
“Let me guess- this was all his idea?” Dani asked me as our significant others continued to talk just off to the side.
“What gave it away?” I asked, smiling. After a minute or two more of talking to the party’s hosts we made our way further into the party. Compliments and chirps were sent our way from the other Ducks and their significant others until we eventually found our way to Jamie and Mason in the backyard.
“I still can’t believe he talked you into this one,” Jamie said, sipping from his plastic cup.
“His arts and crafts skills were a cry for help, I had no choice but to step in and help the poor guy.” I shrugged, smirking up at my boyfriend who simply shook his head.
“Alright, come on, we gotta show everyone the full effect,” Trevor exclaimed, setting his cup down on the table behind Jamie. I begrudgingly took his hand, allowing him to walk me into the middle of the yard, earning the attention of the others around. I shook my head before pressing my hands to the two lights set in very specific spots on my chest, causing them to turn on. I couldn’t help but laugh along with everyone else at the sight of Trevor, dressed as a deer, staring blankly at the two lights.
“A deer in headlights!” He’d exclaimed when he first told me the idea, explaining the entire costume concept.
“I think I deserve some sort of prize for thinking up our winning costume,” he declared smugly as we entered our apartment at the end of the night.
“Oh, do you now?” I asked to which he nodded his head solemnly, his hands behind his back and everything. I shook my head, giggling before rising up on my toes to press a kiss to his cheek. “Maybe you’ll get lucky and find a prize in our room,” I whispered in his ear before turning and walking away to the kitchen, a huge smile on my lips as I heard my boyfriend gasp as my words registered in his mind.
“You’re a cruel, cruel woman,” I heard him mutter, smirking to myself. “Maybe that’s what we’ll be next year then. Cruella de Vil and one of her puppies-” Before I could finish my sentence I was scooped up into Trevor’s arms, a gasp escaping my lips.
“Hold that thought, doll, I want my prize for this year’s costume first,” he declared, walking towards our bedroom door as I laughed in his hold.

literally anything with atsumu i love him and ur writing is always up to par so. i will be happy with anything. but a cute birthday themed piece could be fun perhaps
thank u so much i wrote this specifically for u and i managed to write a weirdly formatted atsumu centered fic that barely went over 1k words. we are so back
contains: fluff, mild childhood angst, a black eye, birthday cake word count: 1163 gender neutral reader x miya atsumu :p
-
October 5th, 1995
Atsumu Miya is born. He’s gifted a bright flash of light, the sound of his own cries, and - seven minutes later - a brother.
October 5th, 2003
There was a HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner taped to the cabinets in the kitchen. The R was ripped nearly in half, and the colors were dull.
It was the same one as last year, and the year before that.
Atsumu walked through the threshold with his brother right next to him. Osamu knew how to say thank you in the right way to get the best hug from their mom.
They were presented with one singular cupcake.
“Why can’t we ever get our own?”
The two boys sat too close at the kitchen table, the strawberry cake sat right in front of them.
“You have to learn how to share, Atsumu.”
He knew how to share. There was nothing left to learn.
One candle was mashed in the frosting. Mom lit the flame and Atsumu watched wax dripping onto his half as she sang their happy birthday song, and told them to make a wish.
Atsumu and Osamu looked at each other, then blew at the candle at the exact same time.
The cupcake was cut in half, and Atsumu’s stomach hurt before he could finish his. Osamu took it without being asked.
But if they had each gotten their own, Atsumu would've had more to share with his brother.
October 5th, 2010
Atsumu was fifteen and he knew everything. He was always right - never, ever wrong, and if anyone disagreed, they’d have to take it up directly with him.
He knew how to run his mouth. Maybe it was what he was best at. He’d never lost an argument - until his fifteenth birthday.
He’d gotten good at taking his aggression out in healthy ways - mostly in sports. But, sometimes, the words he spit couldn’t be left on the court.
He would say what he wanted, and he didn’t care who heard or hurt.
He didn’t know what he had coming to him.
The entire team had already abandoned the gym, all but Atsumu and the shitty middle blocker who played like he didn’t know his position.
Atsumu was outside stretching when his words hit his ears. “You’re a piece of shit, Miya.”
“Oh my god - get in line, dude, you’re about the fifth person today to let me know.”
“That many people wanna rip your head off? I wish one of them would teach you how to shut the fuck up.”
“And I wish someone would teach you how to block the fuckin’ ball.”
The guy didn’t reply. He took one step in Atsumu’s direction - he remembered hearing the crunch of gravel under the guy's foot. His shoulder moved with the step, and with it, the first real punch Atsumu had ever been thrown.
And it hit. Hard. Ten times harder than any hits from Osamu.
The guy’s fist collided with Atsumu’s cheek and then he walked away. Atsumu didn’t even have a chance to hit back - he was frozen in place, anyway. There was no fight in him. He was too surprised.
A black eye wasn’t on his wishlist for his birthday, but it’s what he got. A lesson learned? Not so much.
October 5th, 2019
He was another year older - so what.
The only part of Atsumu’s birthday that he liked was giving his brother a stupidly expensive gift, because it gave him an excuse to gloat.
Other than that? It was a day like any other.
Birthdays were nowhere near special to him - especially his own. But it just so happened that on that specific birthday, he had his first date with you.
And it didn’t even come up in conversation. Neither did his twin brother, or any of his volleyball stories he’d usually tell to impress a date.
Atsumu found out that he didn’t need to impress you, and he hardly needed to talk about himself.
He left that date feeling like he was friends with you, and maybe that wasn’t how he should feel after a date, but he was beaming. The hours with you at that hole in the wall bar didn’t feel like enough.
He took that feeling and ran with it, and he hoped - he prayed - you’d follow him.
October 5th, 2022
It’d been late nights for as long as Atsumu could remember. He’d come home and you’d already be in bed - if he was lucky, you’d wake up just long enough to tell him you love him.
That night was different from the rest.
That night, he would be coming home to - literally - an empty home.
Finally, you and Atsumu had moved into the house of your dreams that was yours. But, for the time being, you were living out of boxes and waiting for furniture deliveries.
He opened the door to a dark living room and an even darker hallway, and he didn’t bother turning any on lights to get to the kitchen.
There was a shred of light there, coming from an old bulb above the stove. He looked around the empty room and what he found was out of place.
There you were, sat on the floor. A chair was next to you, funnily enough, but it was taken by a round white cake. A handful of candles were stuck into the top.
“What are you doing?” he asked, the same time you spoke.
“There’s my birthday boy,” and your voice was all sleepy smiles. “Happy birthday. Happy anniversary.”
He sat in front of you, right on the floor, not caring when his knees popped on the way down.
“Did you stay up just to tell me that?”
“What’s wrong with that?”
You picked up the cake and presented it to him like you were proud of it, and the size of his grin matched yours.
“How mad would you be if I just tipped this up,” and he tapped the bottom of the plate, “right into your face?”
“Atsumu.” Every time you said his name like that, he laughed. “I would kill you.”
“On my birthday?”
He watched you pout as you sat the cake down again. “Aren’t you going to say thank you?”
“Thank you,” he said, like he was insisting. He wrapped his hands around your legs and scooted you closer to him. “Thank you, baby, this is so nice.”
You hummed. “You’re welcome.” And you dipped your finger in the frosting on the cake, and Atsumu immediately caught your wrist when you moved it toward his face.
“Don’t you dare.”
You kept pushing, and he didn’t push back fast enough - your finger and the glob of frosting smushed right into his cheek.
And you laughed loud enough to fill the empty rooms of your house, and Atsumu didn’t know how to tell you how in love he was.
He had birthday cake for dinner that night, and it settled into a sugary stomach ache. It was the best October 5th he'd lived through so far.

Formula 1 Hallmark Fest
Hello one and all! We are delighted to announce the Formula 1 Hallmark Fest, aiming to bring winter cheer and cheesy festive feel-good holiday fic to the masses.
What is Hallmark?
Every year, The Hallmark Channel has their annual Countdown to Christmas celebration. As you can imagine from the title, the movies center around Christmas/winter holiday themes. Hallmark Christmas movies are some of the cheesiest, most nostalgia-evoking films you can imagine. Many of them center around small towns and discovering (or rediscovering) the spirit of Christmas, spending time with family and friends, and finding love in the holiday season!
Hallmark Christmas movies are absurd in the best way, making them perfect for fanfic plots.

The Rules

FAQ under the cut! 👇
1. Does it have to be AU? Not at all! F1 drivers' lives are already so god damn weird that it lends itself perfectly to the sort of over-the-top nonsense that makes a Hallmark movie truly special.
2. Does it have to be romantic? Absolutely not! Follow your heart <3
3. Does it have to be Christmas specifically? Nope! At their core, Hallmark movies are Christmas movies, but it's not essential. Any winter holiday, or even just winter in general, can fit the bill. (Or I guess summer, for the southern hemisphere?)
4. Can I do art for someone else's fic? Yes! Absolutely! We won't be pairing writers and artists (a la Big Bang) but you are more than welcome to find a writer to work with through our fest discord!
5. What happens if I have to drop out? Nothing! We understand that circumstances can change, and the deadline is long so unexpected situations may arise. If you sign up and find you can't participate, that's fine! Just drop the mods a line, no hard feelings.
6. Does my work have to be completed for me to submit it to the fest? Given the length of the deadline, we would ask that yes, your work should be finished before posting!
7. Do you accept late sign-ups? Sure!
8. Do I have to have an idea when I sign up? No! If the theme of the fest intrigues you but you can't think of what you want to write/draw right off the bat, you're still welcome to sign up! The discord server is the perfect place to workshop ideas with your fellow creatives, and we even have a random plot generator if you need a shot of inspiration.
9. Can I join the Discord server if I'm not participating in the fest? Yes, absolutely! If you just wanna come hang out, share in the vibes and the love and chat with folks, you are more than welcome to! And who knows, perhaps inspiration will strike you!
10. Why is the deadline so long? We decided to get started early to give people lots of time to work on their fics! This way, if people want to write proper longfic, there's plenty of time to get it done!

Thank you for the tag @littlewitchbee!!!
Rules: Share five of your own fanworks (fic, art, etc.). Then, tag five more people to share the things they've made.
1. Something you absolutely adore:
2. Something that was challenging to create:
3. Something that makes you laugh or smile:
4. Something that surprised you (how it turned out, how other liked it, etc.):
5, Something you want other people to see:
Now this is going to be a bit difficult because I haven’t really posted a lot of my fan content lol…I’m working on that because I love participating in fandom and I wanna get my stuff out there! But I’ll try my best to answer these!
1) Something I wrote that I enjoy still is my fic Like Clockwork. This one is short and Will-focused and invokes “Wuthering Heights” even though I am not a huge fan but it works and is what I was reading at the time. And I love playing with the clockwork metaphor with will almost as much as I do angel imagery. I was and am happy with this and I’m glad I put it out there—I think I did well with the characters and dialogue.
2) It isn’t out yet (October 3rd stay tuned) but my Royai BigBang piece lol 💀💀💀 I was going through a lot last semester. The beginning of the fic came really easy but as I hurtled towards the conclusion I lost momentum a little bit. I’m not sure if I’m happy with its ending but I do like aspects of it and I’m super stoked to be a part of the project (you all should definitely check it out @royaibigbang and get excited for this year’s fics to drop).
3) This Roy.
4) I’ve gotten a really positive reaction to Pavane For a Dead Prince(ss) which I am pleasantly surprised about. I’m sorry for being a danganronpa fan like it’s my fault…seriously though I’ve appreciated it especially because it’s transfemme Byakuya which is an important headcanon to me (it’s also FTM Makoto but that’s a more popular headcanon I think) and though the story hasn’t reached the realization part of the story for Byakuya (I update so sporadically) I’m glad people are resonating with the character development and stuff. Naegami still means a lot to me (and THH in general) so I’m glad I can make this sort of love-letter to it, even if it takes me forever to finish it lol.
5) As for other things I want people to see I mainly just want everyone to stay tuned! I’m mulling over a lot of ideas now and am dipping my toes into writing x-files stuff (I get so scared of messing up the characters especially when 30 years of amazing fic and analysis and familiarity of the characters exist but I simply must try). I have some other Royai ideas as well and some Royai AUs I’m fooling around with as potential ideas for the Big Bang next year. I’m super excited and hope you all are too!
This was super fun to do! No pressure to anyone but I’m going to tag @marcilliez @purplebass @beware-thegemini @fullmetalscullyy @sourlemons262 and anyone else who wants to do it can go ahead! Everyone should hype their stuff up :)
#thus spoke randy#fma#danganronpa#tsc#tid#just tagging the fandoms of the works i mentioned#poorly drawn roy has breeched containment and hit this blog

So I have a question, and I hope you don't take offence or possibly miss my genuine curiosity in this? You write about dom!reader x members (which is fucking hot and the only reason I follow you cause its that good) but I have to ask, how do you picture fucking them? Like, is it with a strap on? Or maybe a transgender reader? I just wanna know so that I understand how to see myself when I'm getting lost in your fics.
Thank you <3
Hi anon, no offense at all from my end!!
I actually really liked this question because it made me look at myself as a writer, and also just as a person and the things that i'm into,
Before I say anything though, you yourself can read it however you want. I think that’s part of the beauty of sharing your writing, letting people have their own interpretations and views on what you write.
I want my writing to be inclusive to everyone, which is why most (not all but most of my newer-ish) fics that aren’t requested are attempted to be written with that in mind.
But if you really do wanna know what I imagine, it’s a bit harder to explain because it’s shifted so much over the time that I’ve had this blog and from a day-to-day basis as well.
When I first posted on this blog, nearly a year ago last October (crazy how long it’s been) I would’ve definitely said I imagined it as a reader with a strap but at the time i was using she/her pronouns 99% of the time and was only kind of questioning my gender identity. Now, however I use any on here because I don’t feel like any fit me for the majority of the time, it’s shifting and changing with the day and feeling.
Even now I can’t pin down one to tell you for certain because there isn’t one way I only think when I’m writing. Sometimes I imagine the reader with a strap and fem presenting or with a strap and gender neutral completely, I imagine a trans reader-amab or afab with a strap or without. I imagine a male reader too sometimes, or female reader with a dick because it’s fiction and why the hell not.
A dick is a dick and if I wanna write a fan fiction where I have a pretty boy drooling over mine then I’m gonna write it no matter if I don’t have a real one (sadly, but we’re not gonna get into that right now)
I write pegging/fucking w a reader w a dick more often because i am a little bit uncomfortable writing where the reader is being penetrated and find it hot as hell (to say it frankly) for the reader to be doing the penetrating instead.
I project any and (mostly) all of my fantasies onto this blog and those have few bounds so honestly I couldn’t tell you
So, sorry anon, for making you read this all to give you a bullshit, on the fence answer but that’s what I got right now!😅
#inbox💌#cy's ramblings✰#if other writer's feel this way too i'd love to hear about it#cause i feel a little weird posting this rn🧍

Darling Simon, here are some fic writing questions! Curious about 2, 7 and/or 8, and 4/37?
Wish you a fabulous Friday!
Hey there W, thank you so much for asking me all of these! :) And I'm sorry for waiting with answering until it's not even Friday anymore ahhh, but I hope you had a good one! 💜💜💜
2: Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Oh sooooooo many!!!!! I really wanna write some classic enemies to lovers sometime and OH okay, this is probably highly specific, but I cooked up this AU idea with @sillylittleflower once and like one of the things that me wanna write it the most is the fact that I could include a good old tending to the wounds of someone and getting very close to them in process scene in it. Scenes like that are 100/10 and I will not rest until I've been able to write at least one!!!!
7: Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
God... the way I always forget everything immediately after I post it. But hmmm, something I REALLY enjoyed writing is this in Never Letting You Go:
Him on his knees to worship Simon, to offer him everything he has. To spell his veneration out, rededicate this space, make it into a temple for them and their love. To fill the air around them with the sounds of his sweet and breathy prayer. Wilhelm nuzzles his nose along the patch of hair and smiles to himself. If anyone dares to intrude on this moment that feels so fucking holy, well, let them see.
Because listen... something about using religious imagery to write about gay stuff? Idk, that's just a personal favorite of mine. Oh and I love the entire scene that this is taken out of because it's something I hadn't planned, it just sort of came to me and I love that I was able to take this very compromising position, but then not do what's most likely expected and instead make it into this sweet little break in between the sex, idk? I love writing not-always-so-linear sex scenes in case you hadn't noticed, lol.
8: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
I've recently been trying (and really enjoying!) to write more dialogue-heavy stuff, and I had soooo much fun with EVERYTHING in Lavender Haze, but especially some of the not-so-smoot flirting:
“I uh, I don’t,” he’s stumbling over the words, still not taking his eyes off Simon. “I can’t dance, really.” “Oh, don't they teach you stuff like that at… royal school?” Simon shoots back, a challenging glint in his eyes that honest to god makes Wilhelm's knee buckle. Wilhelm winces dramatically. “Don't fucking remind me… I can give you a really unsexy waltz if that's what you want.” The laughter bubbling from Simon's throat is worth all the embarrassment Wilhelm feels at the memory of tripping over his own feet at some function. “Okay, new question: is there such a thing as a sexy waltz?” Simon asks and Wilhelm snorts. “Clumsy waltz, then?” Wilhelm tries and can’t quite fight the fluttering inside his chest at the way Simon is shaking his head at him playfully.
4: How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
Oh god... too many for someone that should focus on getting one thing out at a time. But it's also kinda cool, because back in October I thought I'd never be able to come up with an original fic idea (as in, not taking something from canon) ever again.
Okay, I counted about 11 that I have traces of in my Google docs, some of them already have a bunch of actual writing to them, some just have outlines, but I love all of them and hope to get to them at one point of the other <3
37: Talk about your current wips.
Oh my goooood, I could talk for HOURS about them, this is too much ahhhh. Well, my most current WIP is a Sequel to my beloved Lavender Haze, which has Wille dealing with the aftermath of his hook-up (and maaaaaaybe, love at first sight situation, but who's to say) with Simon. I'm having a lot of fun with including other characters for once, like Felice, her gf, Maddie, Rosh and just trying my hand at something AU for once :)
And well... my vampire AU....... beloved...... beautiful......... when will I do her the honors of finally writing that first chapter instead of literally everything that comes after!?!?!?
And then I have a bunch of other ideas that I bother @sillylittleflower with 24/7 because they don't wanna leave my head, one of them, very, veeeeeery beloved is a photography student AU, hopefully strangers to friends to lovers and very, very soft and! which is new for me! Simon POV!
Please ask me some fun fic writer asks <3

Final October Bingo - Trick or Treat
One last submission. It's still October for me, so it counts for the challenge, at least in my mind.
Summary:
It's Halloween, and not even a silly little fight can get Ace's spirits down. He's exactly where he wants to be.
Nothing but fluff for the final work, based off a silly little idea I had and wanted to make a short fic off of. And for this one, I've decided to include it under the cut, as well as adding the link to the AO3!
Thanks to everyone for sharing their talents this month and @dweetwise for putting the event together. I hope everyone had a great Halloween!
Ace genuinely thinks this might be it for his relationship. Five years in The Fog with Felix, three of those officially together, then two chaotic years since, adjusting to their normal lives, and Felix making the move from Germany to the United States. They've had their ups and downs, disagreements and rough nights like any other couple, but this? This is just unforgivable.
"I can't believe you!" he says, trying to stay calm as he braces both his hands on the kitchen chair, trying not to let his emotions get out of hand. "Like, this is just sick."
Felix stands across the table, arms crossed. He looks equally intense, not willing to back down either. "Ace, you're completely overreacting. It's my decision, not yours. This isn't your problem."
"Look, I get it, it's your choice, but there are just some things that I won't stand for!" he fires back with a huff. "You know, I thought between the two of us, you were the one with good taste."
"And maybe I am. Have you ever considered that maybe, I'm the one who's actually right?"
Ace laughs at that, a cold, emotionless laugh. "About this? No, that's messed up, Felix." He pauses, swaying back and forth on his feet. "I want a divorce."
"We're not even married!"
"And whose fault is that?"
"Are you guys okay?" Jeff's inquisitive tone interrupts their argument, but not for long.
"No, Jeff. Things are terrible. See, Felix here thinks that that-" he gestures wildly at the table. "Is an appropriate Halloween snack."
Jeff follows his pointing hand to the table. Sitting in the center of the kitchen is the culprit of the argument… a half empty bag of candy corn. "So are you two actually fighting?" he asks. Felix responds by shaking his head while Ace responds with an empathic "Yes!"
"You're the one who bought them for me," Felix says, but his tone is much lighter now.
Ace's words still have the same bite to them, but the dramatic flair with which he throws his hands in the air gives away his light-hearted tone. "Because you asked why they were called candy corn, so I showed you how to stack them, not so you'd actually eat them!"
They're interrupted again, this time by two steps of footsteps coming in from the kitchen. It's Elodie with Jonah in tow. "Are you guys still going at it?" he asks, reaching over the table and popping a couple pieces of of candy corn into his mouth. Ace grasps his chest in mock anger as he does.
"Nah, candy corn rocks," Jonah says confidently, and Jeff nods in agreement. Ace scowls at them. He can't believe it. Are all of his friends just… insane now? Did the Entity affect some of them worse than expected?
"What the hell are you talking about? That stuff's disgusting. It's just sugar and food dye," Elodie argues back, and Ace breathes out a sigh of relief. At least one of his friends still has some common sense.
"I don't think this compares to any of the dozens of other weird things you've made me try since I moved here," Felix says.
"Like what?"
"Like at the state fair this summer. You didn't have a problem eating deep fried butter or… or a hamburger with a doughnut for a bun, but candy corn is where you draw the line?"
"Okay, you know what-"
"Felix, wanna go get the fire pit started with me now?" Jonah asks, interrupting Ace and gesturing to the front door.
Ace watches his boyfriend walk out the front of the house before turning back to the kitchen. "I'll get drinks," he says to no one in particular. He opens the fridge, finding the hard ciders that he'd bought when he last went to the store, the same trip where he'd made the mistake of buying Felix candy corn.
Ace is in the process of sliding the drinks into can covers when Jeff comes in to the room to grab the massive bowls of candy that have been waiting for tonight.
"You and Felix aren't actually fighting, right?" Jeff asks, sounding most amused, but slightly concerned.
"Nah, we're all good, just foolin' around," Ace says with an easy smile. "And even if we were, if candy corn is the biggest problem we're having, I'm happy."
Jeff shares in his smile, leaning against the kitchen counter. "I'm glad. I'm happy for all of us, getting out of there, but what the two of you have is special. Real special."
"Yeah, I know."
Ace's slight smile lingers as he finishes getting the drinks out, then he and Jeff join the other three outside. Their driveway has been transformed into a cozy setup. Lawn chairs surround a small fire pit, with carved pumpkins and fake cobwebs adding to the scenery. The five of them decided to do Halloween together this year, preferring each other's company to sitting inside alone and waiting for kids to hand out candy to come by. Last year, Felix and Ace hadn't celebrated Halloween, still too caught up in trying to adjust to the real world after years in the Entity's realm.
Ace considers everyone he lived with in that time family, but the five of them here tonight, they're just a little bit closer. After their escape, they got in contact. Felix had already planned on moving to the States and Elodie, feeling lonely after their escape, followed soon after. They'd settled near where Jonah already was, and Jeff's career as an artist allowed him to live just about anywhere. They'd been ecstatic when he joined them from Canada, their small little circle from the Fog finally complete.
Half an hour before it truly gets dark, the youngest of trick-or-treaters set out, their parents nearby. From toddlers in animal costumes being carried by their parents to younger kids dressed like the different super heroes or witches or other classic costumes, there's a more relaxed vibe to the early evening air.
But as Ace puts candy into the basket of the sixth Disney princess of the night (at least he thinks) he realizes something. Just how many of these costumes he doesn't recognize. It hits him by surprise, the realization on just how much time he's missed out on in this world. Not that he'd paid attention to children's movies, but there are already so many costumes he doesn't quite understand that he would have had his life stayed intact.
It's a feeling that was extremely hard to get over when Ace first returned. He'd been gone for nine years. It wasn't just movies, but sports, politics, music that he'd been behind on. Hell, Ac had missed a damn pandemic, apparently. It had been a strange sort of culture shock, returning to his own home after being so long. Hell, he'd had to learn what a smart fridge is, and was hopelessly behind on technology. It's gotten easier since then, but some things just keep reminding him.
"You alright?" Felix asks from the chair next to him, a warm hand covering Ace's wrist. And suddenly, Ace is much better.
"Yeah, I'm great. Just thinking, we ought to have a movie marathon this weekend, watch a bunch of the stuff we missed while we were…" he stumbles over his words. "Gone."
In a moment, Felix understands. His smile twitches at the corner, growing sympathetic. He squeezes Ace's wrist, saying, "Thinking about what we missed again?" Ace nods, feeling a little numb to it all, but Felix doesn't let go of him. "I know it hurts, sometimes. Try to take it easy on yourself."
"Easier said than done," Ace mutters.
Felix pauses. They've talked about this almost.a hundred times; there's no point in doing it again. Not now. So Felix just smiles and says, "A movie night sounds great."
It takes time, but Ace manages to shake out of his melancholy. It's Halloween, after all, they ought to focus on something else.
Like the absolutely ridiculous, inflatable dinosaur costumes headed their way. Beside them, Jonah barks out a laugh as three people, older kids, from the looks of it, waddle up to get candy. The rest of them share in his laughter as one of them turns around a little too quickly, the costumes tail completely knocking over the bowl of candy on Elodie's lap. The kid is super apologetic, but Elodie waves her off, clutching her sides, laughing, as the kid tries to awkwardly reach down and help scoop up the fallen chocolate bars.
"Don't worry about it," Elodie assures her. "I'll grab them."
The rest of the night goes more easily. As the moon comes out, older kids start to take to the streets. Jeff plays a game with them, throwing pieces of candy into their baskets from long-distance. He starts by throwing them to the sidewalk, then out in the street, then even further. People are happy and laughing.
It's a side of Jeff, really of all of them that Ace never thought he'd see. While they'd always talked about leaving together, spending late nights talking about the first foods they'd have back in the real world, the vacations they'd go on, it had always felt like wishful thinking. Ace had assumed he'd spend the rest of his life… or until he went insane in Trials, in the Fog. But now, now he gets to watch Jeff throw treats at teenagers and argue about candy with Felix. All the mundane stuff he'd never thought he'd care about before the Entity took them. But now, he realizes just how much he needed.
"I'm going to go get another drink," Felix says, holding up his empty can. "Do you want one?"
"I'm good," Ace says, managing to only blush a little when Felix kisses him on the temple before leaving to go inside.
Jeff watches him, with a small smile on his face. "I'm glad to see you happy," he says simply. And Ace appreciates it. Before Felix had arrived in the Entity's realm, Jeff had been the one Ace was drawn to the most. They were the ones who kept each other sane, confided in each other.
Ace looks at the ground for a moment. Thinks about the ring box that's been hidden at the bottom of his sock drawer for a month now, waiting for the right time. "You know, between you and me," he says. "getting taken by the Entity in the first place, I think it was worth it."
Jeff nods, not looking the least bit surprised. "Really?"
"Yeah. If I had to choose between the life I had before, and the one I've got now, after going through all that again, I'd do it in a heartbeat."
Jeff doesn't answer, and he doesn't need to, sharing in Ace's happiness. Ace's smile turns into a dramatic scowl, however, when Felix returns, a new drink in one hand, and the half-full bag of candy corn in the other.
"I take back any nice thing I've said about you. Ever," Ace says dramatically as Felix sits back down, popping the colorful pieces into his mouth. Felix responds extraordinarily maturely, sticking out his tongue at Ace.
They share a laugh, and Felix's hand is back on his wrist. Ace looks down at where they're touching, and wonders what it would look like, seeing a ring on his finger. Soon, he tells himself.
The trick-or-treaters slowly disperse, and eventually, Jonah puts out the fire, and their friends say goodbye. But there's no rush for him or Felix to get up, just continuing to enjoy each other's company. "You know, I wouldn't mind a few more dozen Halloweens, just like this," Ace says, finally breaking the silence.
Felix looks back at him with an easy smile that Ace has only seen since they escaped. He hopes he gets to see it for the rest of his life.
"I'm looking forward to it."

Thank you so much my dear author, I hope writing that fic gave as much enjoyment to you as it does me reading it 🙏

I would do story-mode except I remember that I'd have to replay it for the gems and I don't wanna do all that xD. You started high-risk bfl this week, right? How much of a difficulty jump is it, in your opinion? I'm just worried that i'll be so trash that I accidentally earn less/week from high-risk than mid-risk LMAO. and mb for jumpscring you with the shalom banner timeline, but ngl, that's too soon (and too far) still.
can't believe I started on Angell's banner (you were the one who dragged me into this game with Suspect R and she ain't even playable SMH i'm still crying) and thought it would take forever to reach October. time really flies. idk man, just feeling a bit nostalgic lmao. and thanks for being a chill presence on tumblr, you're one of my favorite blogs. some blogs don't really interact much outside of posting fics/wtv, but i adore both your fics and just conversing with you feels really chill, like a safe space.
at least when you replay its just the fights so if your charas are built its nothing too crazy, but drifter camp battles were an actual nightmare to me like those stages are so ridiculous why am i fighting 20 unblockable enemies who explode upon death… mind you, even at level 50 i didnt know wtf to do with the bastion boss fight so im not even attempting it rn😭
i started high risk bfl like last week i think? personally weakspot carries me through 2/3 of it so its not too hard but the shackled captive… cant even make it past 60. my magic team suckssss, i got hecate to p3 along with eirene but its just not enough like idk. that one was hard in mid risk areak, now its 3x harder for me. i think depending on how much you were doing you’ll probably do less unfortunately
ALSO NO WAY I GOT U INTO THIS GAME DNENRNFKGK you got roped in with 3 pictures of suspect R its not my fault you’re gay asf /lh. but that means we started playing days apart omg. i remember when ppl told me shalom only reran once a year and i got so mad but now she’s just around the corner… damn. im soo glad you like talking to me bc i yap like its a job and i love that i can do it on here with people who share my interests!! i love talking to yall <3

(I feel the need to make a small disclaimer: I am going to be talking about my perceptions about the CP77 fandom culture, some of which might be critical in nature, but this is not a call-out post on an individual or community scale. This is just me sharing some personal reflections. I suspect I'm not totally alone in some of this, but as always, YMMV.
Also, pleasepleaseplease do not feel bad or guilty for reaching out to me or tagging me in stuff or whatever--It means a lot to me that folks wanna chat and connect, and normally I'm 100% down, but I just need to clear my head a bit.)
So I've been ruminating a lot over the past few weeks about my ability to maintain a certain level of activity when it comes to fandom stuff, and I've concluded that my fandom social battery is really, really low.
I'm having a hard time keeping up with DMs, I'm having a hard time keeping up with tag games, I'm having a hard time keeping up with asks, I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the awesome stuff y'all are making--I'm just burnt out socially. And normally I would just take a social media break, but I think this is coming from deeper personal issues that a week offline isn't going to fix.
I've never been in a fandom before where I felt like there was this expectation to keep up with just about every single person in the community. It might be a false expectation I'm putting on myself, but given that I've seen other people apologize for not being able to keep up with posts or apologize for not having the spoons to leave nice tags on reblogs, I don't think this is just a me problem.
The CP77 fandom is relatively small compared to many of my other fandoms, like Dragon Age or Mass Effect, which I think can make it feel like keeping up with a good chunk of the community is totally feasible. For instance, I knew I could never dream of seeing all the DA content on Tumblr, so I never even made the effort to, but I know I can probably get just about everyone who posts in the femvfriday hastag by a certain time. So I often felt like I should do that, especially if I posted in the tag that Friday, too.
But the CP77 fandom is also really active, I think in large part due to the accessibility of photomode and virtual photography. I hope it's clear that I'm not saying this to diminish the value of VP, and obviously, everyone's mileage may vary based on personal technique and other artistic experience, but from my perspective, it does in general seem to be a quicker medium than traditional art or fic. I love the creativity of this community, but I actually can't feasibly keep up with everything everyone is doing all the time.
I made sort of a similar post last fall about the self-imposed pressure of having to create new things on a regular basis. At the time, I was grappling with losing a lot of personal time and brain power after having COVID in September and then working overtime in October, and I wasn't able to make stuff at the rate I had previously. I knew it was ridiculous, I knew no one was like "omg wench didn't post today, shame on her," but there was still FOMO on my part. I also felt like I had lost something I had previously had (specifically the time and energy to create) on account of shitty circumstances, which compounded my frustration.
I've been trying to tell myself that feeling guilty for not having the energy to reply to DMs in a timely fashion or to reblog every femvfriday post is just as silly and self-imposed, and that I don't need to explain to anyone that I just don't have the energy to participate like that right now. I've always been a very strong advocate for people using Tumblr how they want, and while yes, doing things like reblogging posts is a great way to connect with other people and show appreciation to fellow creators and I do encourage people who want to be a part of a community to do these things, it should never feel like an obligation. (The commentary on this post absolutely nails it for me.)
But this guilt and anxiety are harder to shake. Even in my very early days in the CP77 fandom, I noticed that it seemed very transactional to me. And to a point that makes sense, and I think is at least somewhat the result of Tumblr's functionality: you are going to be more likely to notice people who notice you and by extension to support people who support you. I don't think it's inherently a bad thing, but I think it can become one if there's no deeper connection after a certain point, especially if people start to feel like there's an imbalance in the transaction.
The gossipy nature of this fandom can make that even worse--It can be pretty easy to notice a drop-off in activity from someone who might have previously been very supportive and then spiral from "it's just because they're busy, it's fine" to "they're not interacting with me anymore because they heard something bad about me and now they hate me." (I've been on both sides of that one.) There are also a lot of assumptions about cliques and friendships and who's interacting with whom because of fandom politics or whatever that add another layer of stress and confusion here.
So for the past few weeks, every time I go to reblog a post or reply to a comment or consider who to tag after doing a tag game, all of this is weighing on me. Even if it's stupid, even if it's self-imposed, this is what is on my mind.
And what that's been resulting in is largely just not wanting to interact at all. Sometimes it would even make me feel guilty about posting my own stuff if I hadn't interacted with anyone else's in a while, as if I need to support other people in order to earn the privilege to share my own work. And this is of course reflective of much deeper issues I have (read: eldest daughter syndrome) than just fandom nonsense--I'm not putting this one on fandom at all--But it's a thing I deal with.
At some point in the past six month or so, I really lost sight of what this blog is really for, and that's for me. I do generally like interacting with the fandom at large, and I like organizing things and sharing resources that I think can be helpful for folks (especially since I really struggled with how much knowledge was locked behind Discord servers), but my blog is not actually a space for the CP77 community. It is for me, first and foremost, and I need to make it for me again.
I don't know exactly what that's gonna look like. I still consider CP77 my main fandom, and I don't really have much inclination to create or engage in other fictional worlds right now so it might not really look that much different. And I'm hoping that by removing some of this stress, it'll actually recharge my social battery so I can be better at doing the fun stuff like chatting about OCs and shippy stuff with friends.
But my activity here will probably be a lot more erratic as I reclaim this as a happy space for myself.
So that's it. And as always, if you read all of my personal problems, thank you, lmao. I know I'm ridiculous, and it's not that serious, and blah blah blah but THIS IS HOW I WORK THROUGH SHIT OKAY thx

The “fmph’s possibly permanent hiatus from daily tgcf posting” post where I get emotional and gushy on you guys under the cut.
If you don’t wanna read that, I have also made a Google doc with a helpful map of navigating my 277 fics for something tgcf to read if you cannot decide where to start among my collection.
I got really emotional posting my last tgcf daily update before my maybe permanent hiatus. Even with a lot happening in real life right now this has been the change that’s actually been on my mind. I feel so grateful and proud to have gotten my little crowd of regulars who have made me parts of their routines. Tgcf, among many things, is about trying to find simple joys in your life again and making the world just a little better for those around you. It feels very silly in the best of ways to have heard again and again that my writing has been that tiny spark of joy for people.
On July 4, 2021, the donghua was my simple spark of joy.
On July 15, 2021, I finished the novel and was laughing and crying with so much gratitude for the power art can have on us.
And on August 6, 2021, I nervously posted my first fic for this fandom. It did not get much traction at the time, and I wouldn’t start my daily post habit until my first multichapter for the fandom in October, but I am so grateful for the way tgcf reignited my creative light.
Some of my regulars have been with me since very early on, some of you only just joined. And I know sometimes I get comments from names I don’t recognize at all admitting they’re just usually too shy to comment but have been faithful readers for a long time. I love you all for sharing my joy with me.
I will never stop creating, even if I stop creating for this specific fandom. I hope you guys never stop spreading your kind words that had me giggling and dancing to all the warm comments I received.
That being said, I am absolutely going to keep posting my bar study fic, it’ll be the one tgcf thing I am updating during hiatus. You shouldn’t read it. You can, I just know most of you aren’t in American law school, and it’s very much a study tool for me. You have this been warned.
Love you lots ❤️
#tgcf#that tag is for me but I know it’ll come up in the main tag so consider my Google doc of personal recs to be applicable tgcf content I#intrude on the feed for
