Hot take: Bluey became such a massive hit because it's one of the few currently-running TV shows where parents and children are both treated as valuable people with rich inner lives.

After the death of the family sitcom, most shows are either: 1) aimed at children and show the parents as idiots who get in the way of the children's plans; 2) aimed at adults and show only childless single people; or (rarely) 3) family sitcoms where the parents and children are horrible people who hate their lives and yell a lot. So a show that portrays the children and the parents as people with interesting personalities who are doing their best and like spending time with each other filled a gap in the culture and people went crazy for it.

it’s only here, in the dark of price’s barracks, hidden by a bed at his back and a wall to his front, that he finally lets himself stop running; only between solid combat boots and worn fatigues does he let himself tremble and admit to the choking fear

he’d break open price’s chest if he could; crawl past his gushing viscera and curl up under his ribs, hidden in the warm dark

ghost clawed his way out of the grave with broken nails and gritted teeth but he wouldn’t mind being buried again if it meant being cradled in the safety of price’s insides. his warm blood and soft lungs would blanket him, mask the stench of his rotten flesh until he could even convince himself that, maybe, he too was still alive

he grounds him over the long hours it takes for his white-knuckled grip to relax into a loose hold; for his face to stop grinding into the meat of his thigh and simply rest in his lap, his bracketing legs the only thing holding his lax body up as he floats, untethered by fear

#Were the stylists who dressed them for MMA not available or did they have a zero budget situation?#bc those hideous techwear were from gambler era sprayed with glitter and added random belts and body chains from idk Jealousy?#don't even get me started on the colors. or well. lack there of.#were they performing at a funeral?#black and white with silver jewlry? did they WANT the boys to be invisible?#also. i don't have anything against Gambler but she had no reason to be the main song #literally why did they not do Love instead?#it made so much more sense...#this one is a personal opinion (i mean all of this is my PO but) there IS something as too much electric guitar #that was just extra and it didn't add anything to the song bc it was THE WHOLE SONG #i also didn't like the begining. they started rush hour at the weirdest part...#idk what its called but its like the highlight of the song but the song BUILDS UP to it so it feels good to reach it #starting with it however just felt weird. it was out of place #i just cant get over how bad their fits were... its like their stylist wasn't available and someone tried to replicate their work #it looks like a bad/cheap copy of their usual style #like how can they have mx look so good for MMA and then mess gayo so bad?#those belts and garters were thrown over those hideous techwear RANDOMLY. it all felt terribly out of place #even tho they had a huge issue with sound in MMA the overall performance was so much better...#also just to be clear i don't think any of this is mx's fault #they have a comeback to prepare for in a little over a week and as far as their performance on stage goes they did great #but whoever planned everything else needs to fired bc that shit was boring at best

by the way. people are allowed to complain about this season feeling rushed. i don’t know when it became a thing in this fandom to completely jump people who have valid complaints like YES arcane is a fantastically produced and beautifully animated show and nobody will be able to top it but they did start things with some characters only for it to never go anywhere so it can all be wrapped up in three episodes 😭
