Does anyone know what the timeline of the TWST main story is??? iirc Heartslabyul takes place in September before Aceâs birthday. Actually I think Prologue & Heartslabyul spans at least a week at max đđ
Savanaclaw is probably Late October⊠purely bcs I donât think theyâd do a school festival so early into the year
Octavinelle is like November-> Early December to me bcs itâs the midterm exam period, & idt theyâd do exams right after a festival, but who knowsâŠ
Scarabiaâs over winter break so December ->January
Pomefiore is probably??? somewhere around January as well?? Because I remember it was still snowing from the cutscene that Prefect has with Kalim abt his disappointment on not being a main singer. Iâm betting on Late January at earliest. And Ignihyde takes place literally the night after Pomefiore đđđ This is also just guesswork based on how far up north the Sageâs Isle is, I assume the winters last longer there.
As for Diasomnia I got no clue at all đđ all ik is that it should be getting warmer bcs of the reactions the characters have towards Malleus causing snow & winds to pick up⊠I used to think it was March but it probably isnât đ
if anyone would like to refute/add onto anything please feel free to do so!! This is all just guesswork đđđ
#i say stuff#twst timeline#idk how to tag this i wonât put too much stuff in it because i dontât want to clog up the tags too much đđđ#also the events exist in like a vacuum to me đđđ except for Halloween those r always in Octber#*october#Terror is Trending & Spectral Soiree happen back to back so those have set dates I think#October 31st to November 1st#Glorious Masquerade is a little tricky but itâs at least Late October bcs NRCâs Halloween celebration happens during the exchange trip#thank you ace jack and deuce for producing one of the funniest scenes in that eventâŠ#the same could be said for Stage in Playful Land but i think it has the possibility of being set in early October purely bcs#one of aceâs excuse on skipping school to go to Playful Land is that he wants to let loose before exam crunch + Halloween prep#As for LiTB with Nightmare Before Christmas mayhaps its somewhere during the Halloween celebration#or like literally days before. since in the finale they used the Halloweenified version of Main Street as the background#Harveston is like TWST Finland to me so like it could take place in like March or smth with how much it seems to snow đđđ#LiTB with Stitch is right before summer break from what i remember#Samâs New Year Sale is in New Years bcs duh đđđ but I assume itâs after Winter Break because the cast is all there#The rest are a bit muddy to me tbhâŠ#live laugh love#wow i ended up yapping a lot again teehee

I have never wanted to start online beef like seeing people us AI for Fandom things and then put "I love Ao3" in the tags
Like, no the fuck you don't. You are actively contributing to the problem of Ao3 being scraped for AI and you don't give a shit about Fandom space. Fuck off.
Stop using any AI
#AI#fandom#not to mention that AI services are literally killing the planet#multiple reports about how much energy and water these programs are using for servers#but who cares that mid/late november is the first snow we've seen this year#not like that means the planet is dying or anything#not like that will harm and kill ecosystems or anything#get fucked

Life had slowed, but only justâsomehow still breezy with that undercurrent of momentum that carried him from One Direction fevered heights, to the steady rhythm of his own solo journey. Fame was no stranger, but this? These moments were the ones he cherished most. He glanced at his wife, her eyes twinkling as she sat with their son. The simple joy of this evening reminded him of how far they had come. The quiet, intimate wedding in Holmes Chapel five years ago, the shockwaves it sent through the internet because they had managed to keep it so private, and then, only a year later, the unexpected news that YN was pregnant with Atlas.
He could still remember the exact moment he found out about their little surprise, how the world had seemed to tilt on its axis when she told him. It had been unplanned, a complete shock, but one that had filled him with a profound sense of love and responsibility.
Five years ago felt like a lifetime ago, yet it also felt like yesterday.
Five Years Earlier â November first, Holmes Chapel
The cold was sharp outside, but the small cottage Harry and YN had rented for the holiday season felt warm, cozy even. A fire crackled softly in the fireplace, and YN sat curled up on the couch, her hands wrapped around a steaming mug of tea. Outside, a gentle snow, the first of the season, had started to fall, covering the village in a blanket of white.
Harry had been out all day, helping his mother with some last-minute holiday preparations. The quiet of the house felt calming to YN, but there was something on her mind, something that had been gnawing at her for the past month. Her period was lateâlater than it had ever been.
She had noticed other small things too. A slight queasiness in the mornings that she initially brushed off as stress from the hectic, upcoming holiday season. But now, as she sat there, the weight of realization started to sink in. She might be pregnant.
Her heart pounded as she thought about it. They hadnât planned for this. They had only been married for about a year, and though they had talked about children, it had always been a vague, distant future sort of conversation. But now, the possibility was staring her in the face, and she wasnât sure how Harry would react.
Would he be excited? Nervous? Overwhelmed?
She glanced at her phone, considering whether to text him and ask him to pick up a pregnancy test on his way home. No, that felt too impersonal.
She had paced the empty hallways of the cottage, occasionally texting her husband back or scrolling through instagram. She knew Harry like the back of her hand, he wouldnât be upsetâperhaps a bit overwhelmed, but upset? No, from the years theyâve known each other, he loved children. She couldnât count on her fingers the amount of dance sessions, hide and go seeks, and cartoon watching sheâd walk in on when he was with the children of his family or friends. And from the discussions theyâve shared of their own future children, she knew heâd be ecstaticâshe just didnât think itâd be so soon.
A few hours later, the front door creaked open, and Harryâs voice echoed through the small cottage. âLovey, yâhere? Sâcold as hell out there.â
She stood, wrapping Harryâs sweater tighter around her frame, trying to keep her nerves in check as she walked towards him. He looked so carefree, a light dusting of snow in his hair, his cheeks rosy from the cold, a grin already stretching across his face when he saw her.
âGot yâfavorite mince pies from the bakery,â he announced, holding up a small paper bag as he walked towards her. âMum says we need to fatten you up fâthe winter.â
YN laughed softly, but it didnât reach her eyes. She could feel the words bubbling up in her throat, but she didnât know how to say them. Instead, she took the bag from him and set it on the counter.
He began to shuffle around the kitchen, searching the cupboards for a few glasses. He absentmindedly hummed a tune his wife didnât quite recognize as he floated toward the freezer, pulling out a frosted glass bottle of rum with a smile. âMum said she wouldâve made it herself butââ He laughed, shaking his head as he set the bottle down on the counter with a heavy clank. âSheâs decorating the house. Looks like autumn threw up in there.â
YN only responded in a gentle chuckle, one that made him look up with his eyebrows furrowed. Harry frowned, immediately noticing the shift in her demeanor. He paused, his eyes scanning her face with concern. âEverything alright, sweet girl?â
She swallowed hard, trying to steady her voice. Her eyes burrowed into his, shifting gaze from one eye to the other. Her lips parted, unsure of how to form the words that sat heavily in her throat. She exhaled, managing a smile as she shook her head. âJust a bit tired, thats all.â
She couldnât tell him until she was sure. If he were to be overjoyed, she didnât want to get his hopes up on the off-chance she wasnât pregnant.
Harry paused for a moment, not fully convinced, but he didnât want to push. If something was wrong, sheâd tell him when she felt ready. So, he only smiled back as he unscrewed the rum and poured into the square glasses. He looked at her expectantly as he raised his eyebrows, bringing her a glass.
She stared at it as if it would jump out at her, her reflection waning in the amber liquid. She pulled her lips between her teeth, shaking her head as her cheeks flushed. âNot feeling it tonight.â
At that point, Harry knew something was wrong. He furrowed his eyebrows, setting herâwell, what was supposed to be hersâdrink on the counter before he took a sip of his. âYou sure yâalright?â
She brushed it off with a laugh, stepping toward him as he remained leaning against the counter. YN pressed a gentle kiss on his rum-slicked lips, cold to the touch. âYou worry too much.â
He wrapped his arm around her head, pulling her into his chest with a sigh. âRightfully so, mâlove. Stubborn as a mule, you are.â
She scoffed, though only humor was laced in her tone. She pushed back from him, folding her arms over her chest with a feigned frown.
âWhat?â He smiled, taking another sip. âShould be titled an archeologist the way I dig for your heart.â
âOh shut it, Styles. Youâve done no such thing.â
He laughed, placing his glass on the counter behind him and gently holding onto the edges. âYouâre only proving my point, lovey.â
She rolled her eyes, flicking his chest before she began to step off toward the bedroom. YN looked over her shoulder expectantly with a sly smile. âYouâre not gonna join me?â
She didnât need to ask him twice.
He tugged his shirt off, tossing it aside as his wifeâs laughter echoed down the hallway. She darted toward their bedroom, her giggles trailing behind her like music. Grabbing his glass from the counter and kicking off his shoes, he chased after her, a wide, mischievous grin lighting up his face.
There was a gloomy, gray sky the next morning, the kind where the clouds stretched thick across the sky, holding back any hint of sun. YN had woken up before dawn with a gnawing queasinessâa feeling that had been creeping up more often lately. She pressed her hand to her stomach, trying to calm the discomfort.
She reached into the plastic bag, pulling out the small pregnancy test she ordered from doordash before the sun rose. She had tipped the dasher generously before staring at it in the restroom for what felt like hours. Her mind buzzed, unsteady with thoughts she couldnât quite wrangle. The idea of being pregnant had only crossed her mind like a shooting star. She was nervous. They were still basking in the simplicity of their life, the unexpected quiet of their year-old marriage. This hadnât been in the plan.
But here she was, two minutes ticking by like hours as she stared at the test resting on the edge of the sink.
And then, there it was.
Two blue lines.
Her heart raced, a mix of emotions she could barely process flooded her chest. She didnât know what she was supposed to feelâexcitement, worry, fear? It was all tangled together in a knot she didnât have the strength to untangle. She felt a hint of guilt wash over her; how could she feel uncertain about something so beautiful? But it was real, and she knew it. This was so real.
She sank to the edge of the clawfoot tub in the small bathroom, hugging her arms around herself. She let herself sit there for a while, just breathing in and out, letting the realization wash over her like waves on a shore, eroding her hesitation bit by bit. Eventually, she felt a warmth begin to spread, a tentative but growing love, a sense that maybe, just maybe, this was meant to be.
Oh, godâbut Harry.
Mere discussions about a hazy future never felt so prophetic.
Footsteps on the old wooden floor outside the bathroom brought her back to reality. Harryâs voice called from the kitchen, warm and sleepy, a mug clinking on the counter. âLove, you up?â
Her stomach twisted again, this time more with nerves than nausea. She took a deep breath, tucking the test in her hand and opening the door. As she stepped out, she found her husband leaning against the counter, his hair tousled from sleep, a soft smile on his face as he sipped from his mug.
âCouldnât fall back asleep,â she murmured, her voice just above a whisper.
Harry raised an eyebrow, setting down his mug as he studied her face, his expression shifting to one of gentle concern. âYouâve been off since yesterday, please, just tell me whatâs wrong?â
YN took a breath, feeling the weight of the words she was about to speak. She crossed the small space between them, the floorboards creaking softly under her bare feet. Her hands trembled as she reached for his, and he immediately stilled, sensing her unease.
âDonât freak out, okay?â She said, her voice breaking ever so slightly.
Harryâs gaze softened, his fingers curling around hers. âAlright,â he murmured, his thumb gently brushing over her knuckles. âSwear it.â
She swallowed, her eyes dropping to where their hands joined, and finally, she managed to say it. âIâmââ she sighed, âIâm pregnant.â
The words hung in the air between them, and she felt his hand go still, his thumb pausing mid-stroke. She dared a glance up at his face, and in his eyes, she saw the shock sheâd been expecting. His mouth opened slightly, as if he wanted to say something but couldnât quite find the words.
It was the longest silence sheâd ever felt.
And then, slowly, a smile began to break across his face, soft at first, hesitant, but growing. His eyes sparkled with something she hadnât expectedâsomething gentle and pure, and so, so warm. âYouâre⊠serious?â
She nodded, a soft laugh escaping her lips, a mix of nerves and relief. âYeah. I know itâs not what we planned, and Iââ
Harry pulled her into his arms, wrapping her up tightly as if he never wanted to let go. She felt his heartbeat racing against her cheek, felt the slight tremor in his breath as he held her.
He pulled back just enough to look at her, his eyes glassy with emotion. âThis is⊠I mean, I wasnât expecting this, butâŠâ He paused, his voice catching. âBut, YN, thisâthis is everything.â
A smile broke across her face, the warmth in her chest growing, all her fears melting as she looked up at him. âAre you sure?â
Harry laughed softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face, his thumb lingering on her cheek. âIâm sure.â His eyes held hers, full of something she could only describe as love beyond anything sheâd known before. âI mean, look at us. Weâve done everything backwards and upside down, havenât we?â He chuckled, his dimples deepening. âWhy not this too?â
They laughed together, and in that moment, all her worries felt so small, so distant. Harry pressed his forehead against hers, his hands holding her gently. âI canât believe it,â he whispered. âWeâre going to be parents?â
YN nodded, her own laughter mingling with tears she hadnât realized were there. âI guess we are.â
Harry wrapped her up again, his arms strong and sure around her. âOur little family.â He looked around, a spark of excitement lighting his gaze. âThe start of everything, right here.â
They stood there, wrapped up in each other, in the quiet of the small cottage, a peacefulness settling over them. The morning light had started to creep in through the windows, casting a soft glow over them, and for a moment, the world felt perfectly still.
But as the initial excitement settled, the reality of the situation hit her hard. Morning sickness, which was more like all day sickness for YN, kicked in with a vengeance. She wondered what crime she may have committed in a past life to deserve such a karma.
She spent most of her mornings hunched over the toilet, her stomach in knots, while Harry hovered nearby, rubbing her back and murmuring soothing words. âItâll pass, baby.â He would say, though there was a flicker of worry in his eyes every time she retched.
The first trimester was rough. YN felt exhausted all the time, her body aching and her emotions all over the place. There were days when she could barely keep food down, and the nausea was so overwhelming that she couldnât even stand the smell of Harryâs cologne.
But through it all, he was a constant source of support. He made her ginger tea in the mornings, rubbed her feet when they swelled, and stayed up late with her on the nights when she couldnât sleep. He even held her hair back during the worst bouts of sickness, never once complaining or losing his patience.
Still, telling their friends and family was daunting. Anne had been thrilled, of course, immediately launching into grandma mode, talking about knitting booties and baby blankets. But YN worried about telling the public. Harry had always been fiercely protective of their privacy, and the idea of sharing something so intimate with the world felt overwhelming.
âI donât want people to think anything bad of me.â She admitted to him one night as they lay in bed. She had spent the entire day feeling nauseous, and her nerves were frayed.
Harry propped himself up on one elbow, looking at her with a gentle smile. âNo oneâs going to think like that, baby.. And if they do, then screw âem. This is our family. No one elseâs.â
His words, simple as they were, helped ease some of the anxiety gnawing at her. They would announce it when they were ready, and in the meantime, they would enjoy these private, intimate moments together.
A few weeks later, when YN was finally starting to feel a little better, they gathered their closest friends and family to tell them the news. Harryâs friendâs were among the first to know. They had gathered at their place in London, a casual get-together that didnât feel too obvious or formal.
Jeff had been the first to catch on, his brow furrowing as he noticed YN sipping ginger ale instead of her usual glass of wine on occasions like these. âWait a minuteâŠâ he began, his eyes narrowing suspiciously as he glanced between them. Oh God, youâre pregnant arenât you?â
The room fell silent for a moment as Harry and YN exchanged a glance, a grin tugging at Harryâs lips. âSurprise!â
The room erupted into chaos. Mitch nearly fell out of his chair, laughing and shouting congratulations at the same time. Pauli looked like he might cry, and Sarah immediately started teasing Harry about how heâd better get used to sleepless nights.
âYou two are gonna be knackered for the next eighteen years,â she quipped, though there was a deep affection in her eyes as she clapped Harry on the back. âBut youâll be great parents. I know it.â
As the weeks continued to pass and YNâs belly began to show, Harryâs excitement seemed to grow right along with it. He took over more and more of the household chores, practically hovering over her with a devotion that was both endearing andâjust occasionallyâa little over the top. But that was Harry; he never did anything halfway, and preparing to become a dad was no exception.
One evening, after a long day, they lay in bed, YN nestled against Harryâs chest as he rested a hand on her belly. His fingers traced slow, absentminded circles over her small bump, his gaze softening as he looked down at her.
âHave yâthought about names?â he asked quietly, voice almost a murmur. There was a trace of wonder in his eyes, as if he were asking the question for the first time.
She smiled, shrugging lightly. The idea of names had been floating around in her mind for a while, but nothing had quite felt right yet. âMm, Iâve got a few in mind,â she said with a teasing glint in her eye. âThink Iâm just gonna call âem Fetus for now.â
Harry let out a laugh, his face lighting up as he shook his head. âPoor kid,â he said, voice full of warmth. He shifted lower, pressing a soft kiss to her belly. âFetus Styles,â he whispered against her skin, his lips brushing her gently, sending a spark of laughter through her.
Her smile never faltered, fingers combing through his curls as he settled his head on her bump, gazing up at her through his lashes. He held her gaze for a moment, then suddenly broke into a grin, blowing raspberries onto her belly with glint in his eye.
She laughed, Harry faltering into her growing tummy as his phone began to ting with a mess of texts. He grabbed his phone that lay upon his wifeâs thighs, sitting up beside her against the headboard with a wide smile as the phone illuminated his face.
She knit her eyebrows together, leaning her head against his shoulder. âWho has you smiling?â
He unlocked his phone, âLou. I told him I had to talk to him tonight.â
She laughed as Harry clicked on the contact, pressing the facetime icon as the ringing filled the air. âItâs what..?â She trailed off, flickering her eyes in thought. âNoon in LA? Surprised heâs even up.â
After a beat, the screen flashed to life, and there he wasâLouis, bleary-eyed, half-sprawled across his couch, nursing a mug of tea. He squinted at the screen, a smirk forming as he took them both in.
âBloody âell, look at you two all cozy!â He drawled, taking a sip. âThought I was interrupting somethinâ.â He chuckled, giving them a teasing wink.
Harry rolled his eyes, holding the phone between them. âShut up. Weâre just havinâ a quiet night in.â He glanced over at YN, then back at the screen, his grin a little wider. ââNd I needed to talk tâyou, yeah?â
Louisâs smirk softened, curiosity lighting up his expression. âRight. Whatâs this then?â
He took a quick breath, almost unable to keep the smile off his face as he turned the phone back to YN, who gave Louis a warm smile before glancing at Harry. He squeezed her shoulder, then looked back to the screen, letting the words tumble out. âWeâre havinâ a baby!â
For a moment, Louis just stared, the mug paused halfway to his lips as he absorbed the words. His mouth broke into a grin, and he let out a laugh. âOi, youâre pullinâ my leg!â He leaned closer, shaking his head. âWait, wait, youâre serious, arenât ya?â
âDead serious,â YN said, her voice gentle as she leaned in closer to Harry. âWeâve known for a few weeks now, but wanted to tell you ourselves.â
He sat up straighter, rubbing a hand over his face as he took it in, his grin somehow widening. âJesus, Haz. A dad,â he mused, a playful sparkle in his eye. âI mean, didnât see this cominâ back when you were too busy worryinâ about a pair of blue suede shoes to think about nappies.â
Harry let out a laugh, playfully nudging YN. âSee, Iâm just followinâ yâexample, mate.â
Louis snorted, giving a mock scowl. âBetter beâFreddieâs halfway to graduating high school it feels like. Youâve got some catchinâ up to do.â He settled back into the couch, softening as he looked at them both. âBut seriously, this is brilliant, you two. Gonna make one hell of a mum and dad, arenât ya?â
Harry glanced over at YN, his gaze lingering, soft and full of a quiet pride. âHope so,â he said, smiling down at her before turning back to Louis. âJust been⊠sittinâ with it. So many things I wanna teach âem, yâknow?â
âBest get started on that lullaby playlist, then,â Lou teased, though there was warmth in his tone. âBet youâre already planninâ that first guitar lesson.â
YN laughed, rubbing a hand over her belly. âItâs just been a whirlwind, honestly. We havenât even found out the gender yet.â
Louis grinned, raising an eyebrow. âSurprise ân all? Makes it even better. Though if yâneed tips on anythinâ, Iâve got all the dad tricksâlike what not to say when theyâre askinâ questions in front of their mum.â
âGreat,â Harry chuckled. âStart a whole book for me, will ya?â
Lou winked, lifting his mug. âAlready makinâ notes. First chapterâs on nappies and the art of avoidinâ baby food on your shirt.â Then, his expression softened as he leaned closer. âNah, for real. Couldnât be happier for you two. And for that kid, too. Already got the best start with you both.â
Harry swallowed, his hand finding YNâs, giving it a gentle squeeze as he held his friendâs gaze through the screen. âMeans a lot, youâll be his grumpy, old uncle, yeah?â
Louis grinned, nodding with a playful glint in his eye. âBest beâIâll have âem singinâ the chorus to No Control by the time Iâm done. YN, darling, donât you worryâIâll keep him in line.â
YN chuckled, leaning her head on Harryâs shoulder. âIâll hold you to that, Lou.â
âDamn right you will,â Louis shot back, settling back against his couch, eyes full of pride and a mischievous excitement. âAnd when Iâm back over, sâgonna be you two doinâ the nappies, while I teach that kid how to annoy his dad.â
Harry feigned a groan, rolling his eyes dramatically. âWhy am I not surprised?â
âCheers, mate.â Louis raised his mug, a glimmer of something genuine in his gaze. âCanât wait. Love you both, yeah?â
Harry grinned, feeling the weight of Louisâs words. âLove you, too, Lou. Cheers.â
And as they hung up, YN nestled closer, both of them feeling the joy of sharing their secret with someone whoâd been there for it all.
A few months had passed, and YN was officially eighteen weeks pregnant. The kitchen was quiet, filled with the warm scent of vanilla as Harry carefully set a single white cupcake on the counter. Heâd insisted on something private, just the two of them. No big reveal party or confettiâjust a simple cupcake with the surprise hidden inside. YN stood beside him, hands resting on her bump, a grin tugging at her lips as she watched him fuss over it.
âYouâre really gonna make me cry over a cupcake, arenât you?â she teased, nudging him lightly.
Harryâs eyes sparkled as he looked over at her, dimples deepening. âJust yâwait.â He handed her the small knife, his fingers brushing hers, and his voice softened. âReady?â
She nodded, her heartbeat picking up as she sliced through the cupcake. Slowly, she pulled the two halves apart, then stared down at the filling inside.
Bright green.
For a moment, they both froze, staring down in complete confusion. Harry tilted his head, mouth slightly open, brow furrowed as he looked at her, then back at the cupcake. âUh⊠mâpretty sure green wasnât one of the options.â
YN snorted, a laugh bubbling out as she lifted the cupcake up to inspect it. âMaybe theyâre tellinâ us weâre having a little Niall?â
Harryâs eyes crinkled as he burst into laughter, clutching his chest. âGod help us if thereâs a little Irish guitar player in there.â
She grinned, wiping a tear of laughter from her eye. âYou think theyâll come out singinâ âMull of Kintyreâ?â
Harry laughed, covering his face with his hand. âFirst wordsâll be potato, just yâwatch.â He shook his head, still chuckling. âThis is what we get for trustinâ a bloody cupcake.â
She rolled her eyes, reaching for her bag on the counter. âShouldâve gone with the doctorâs letter instead of dessert.â After a moment of rummaging, she triumphantly held up the small, folded envelope, smiling. âAlright, now you ready?â
Harry nodded, moving closer, his hand resting gently over hers as she slowly unfolded the paper. They both took a breath, glancing at each other before reading the bold, printed words inside.
Right underneath a blurry ultrasound picture printed onto the visit summary, there it was written.
Fetal sex: Male
For a heartbeat, they both just stared at the words, the realization washing over them like a warm tide.
âA little boy,â Harry murmured, his voice filled with awe as he shook his head in disbelief. âWeâre gonna have a son.â
YNâs eyes sparkled as she looked at him, a wide smile breaking across her face. âA son,â she repeated softly, her hand covering his on her belly. Already, she could see himâa little boy with Harryâs eyes, his laughter, his kindness.
Harry swallowed, his own eyes misty as he leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead, then resting his against hers. âThink weâre ready for him?â
She let out a soft laugh, brushing away a tear. âNot even close,â she whispered, her fingers lacing with his over her belly. âBut I think weâll do just fine.â
It was mid February by this point, a few weeks after celebrating Harryâs twenty-fifth birthday. The air had a sharp chill, and YN readjusted Harryâs oversized hoodie that hung off her growing frame, something that hid her bump well. They were dressed comfy and warm, Harry in a pair of sunnies with his hoodie pulled over his head. She nestled closer into her husband as they walked through the quiet side streets of London. Theyâd just finished lunch at their favorite cafĂ©, savoring the rare chance to slip out together unnoticed. She pulled the hoodie over her head as a gust of wind brushed by.
âWish we had days like this more often,â Harry murmured, his fingers lacing through hers as they made their way back to the car. âJust us, yâknow?â
She smiled, leaning into him. âYou mean just the two of us and fetus?â
Harry squeaked out a laugh that sounded like the ones from his early days in the x-factor, squeezing her hand. âRight, fetus. Canât forget our little tagalong now.â
But as they turned onto the next street, something shiftedâa distant hum of voices, then a sharp click of a camera. Before they could react, the quiet street filled with flashes, and a group of paparazzi materialized around them, spilling onto the sidewalk.
It wasnât a swarm, just about five or so that were tipped off about Harry walking about the city in a pair of sunnies, as if that could keep him hidden.
âHarry! Harry! Just one photo!â A bald man shouted, pushing forward. The camera flashes came in rapid succession, blinding in the midday light.
He immediately shifted, drawing YN closer to his side, his hand protectively resting into her waist as he tried to steer her forward. âAlright, mate, thatâs close enough,â he called out, his voice tense but calm.
âHarry, are the rumors true?â another voice shouted, barely inches from them, more cameras held up like a barrier.
âJust please let us through, yeah?â Harryâs voice was firmer now, his hand moving to shield YNâs face, pressing her into his chest as the crowd closed in tighter.
A jostle from the side sent her stumbling, and Harryâs arm tightened around her, his jaw clenched. âHey, enough!â he barked, his voice sharper than sheâd ever heard it. He guided her forward, his body acting as a buffer as he tried to clear a path.
âJust one shot, Harry!â a paparazzo persisted, his lens pointed squarely at YN, his hand cupping her cheek as he pressed her face further into his chest, her heart pounding as she held onto Harry.
He shot a glare of his shoulder, jaw clenched as he remained silent, maneuvering his wife past the cameras, his hand never leaving her. He kept his eyes trained ahead as he led her through the last stretch to his car.
Finally reaching the door, he opened it for her, a quick but steady gesture, ushering her in and following right after. The cameras pressed in one last time as he shut the door firmly, finally sealing them off from the swarm outside.
Inside, the car was quiet, insulated from the chaos that still buzzed outside, windows tinted as legally possible. YN let out a shaky breath, her hands in her hoodie pocket as she glanced over at Harry. His face was flushed, a mix of worry and lingering frustration in his eyes.
âYou okay?â He asked, his voice gentler now, his hand pulling hers out of the pocket, thumb brushing over her knuckles as he studied her face.
She nodded with a faint smile, trying to steady herself. âNot our first rodeo, H.â She tried to joke. And it was true, it surely wasnât the first time theyâve been bombarded by paps. YN wasnât famous prior to meeting Harry, a smart girl as beautiful as she, he simply couldnât ignore.
She was a friend of Anneâs best friendâs daughter, bumping into each other at a family gathering in 2014, immediately becoming close friends. He offered her a ride home that night, and when she thanked him profusely and offered to give him gas money, he knew then and there he was going to fall in love with this woman.
Fans and paps galore started delving into her life in late 2015, when a grainy picture of them kissing at a bar after a London show exploded on twitter. Since then, she always known about the lack of privacy in Harryâs life. And honestly, sheâs still trying to adjust to it.
He exhaled, his fingers tightening around hers. âHate that they got that close to you. Wish theyâd just..â He trailed off, clenching his jaw as he glanced out the window, his gaze hardening when he saw the cameras still lingering in the distance.
She squeezed his hand, her voice soft. âItâs alright, baby. Iâm alright.â She could see the tension in his shoulders slowly easing, though he still held her hand as if anchoring himself. âThey donât know, and thatâs okay for now. Itâs just us, remember?â
Harry nodded as he pulled from the curb, driving down the narrow street toward the red light. He turned back to her, his green eyes softening, and he nodded slowly. âJust us. Right.â His shoulders relaxed a little more, a trace of a smile returning to his face as he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead while the light was still red.
But before he could pull away, she let out a small gasp, eyes widening as she felt a firm, insistent little nudge low on her belly. She looked up at him, her own hand moving instinctively to her bump.
Green illuminated over them, a honking echoing from behind as he froze in concern. âWhat?â He breathed, turning a corner to head to the grocery store in the distance, seeking a temporary refuge in the parking lot. He glanced between YN and the road, heart beating in his ears. âBaby, whatâs wrong?â He raised his voice, though it wasnât out of anger, just an anxiety that threatened to boil over.
She shook her head, her face breaking into a soft smile. âNothingâs wrong, Harry. He just kicked.â
Harryâs eyes lit up instantly, his frustration melting away as he stared at her, a grin forming slowly. âHe did?â
She nodded, pulling his hand to her belly as he parked. âRight here. Just now.â
He held his breath, his palm pressed against her bump, waiting. And there it was againâa tiny but unmistakable kick, nudging firmly against his hand.
Harryâs face broke into a radiant smile, his whole expression softening with awe. âOi, thereâs my little striker,â he mused, his voice thick with affection as he looked down at her belly. âWeâll have you in a Man United kit before youâre out of nappies, wonât we?â
She laughed, his words melting away the last traces of tension from the encounter outside. âGetting a bit ahead of yourself, arenât you? Picking his team and all?â
He grinned, his eyes crinkling with pure excitement. âNo chance heâll be an Arsenal player.. First kicks mean weâve got a future midfielder on our hands, yeah?â He grinned, âDads gonna make sure yâgot the right colors on you, bub.â
YN couldnât help but laugh, her heart swelling as she watched the joy take over his face. She reached up, tucking a curl behind his ear, her fingers lingering against his cheek. âHeâs already got you wrapped around his tiny little foot.â
Harry chuckled, leaning in to kiss her, his hand still resting against her belly, feeling another small nudge. âSâpose Iâll let him get away with it. Just this once.â

March arrived in a blink.
It was early, the kind of early that still belonged to the night, when Harryâs phone buzzed on the bedside table. The world outside was still draped in darkness, the streets silent, as if London itself hadnât quite woken up. Harry stirred, slowly pulled from the depths of sleep by the vibration of his phone. He squinted in the dim light, his vision blurry, barely able to make out the name on the screen. Jeff.
With a quiet sigh, Harry picked up the phone, pressing it to his ear and trying to shake off the last bits of sleep that clung to him. He glanced over to YN, who lay nestled beside him, her breathing soft and even, lost in a peaceful slumber. Gently, he reached out and brushed his fingers along her cheek, a tired but adoring smile tugging at his lips. She stirred slightly, her head nuzzling into his hand, and he felt a warmth rise in his chest. Moments like this felt sacred, untouched by the outside world.
But then Jeffâs voice broke through the stillness, sharp and apologetic.
âHarry,â Jeff said, his tone low and serious, as if he wished he were calling for any other reason. âListen, I hate to do this to you, but weâve got a situation.â
Harry straightened, a cold feeling settling in his stomach. âWhat is it, mate?â he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, unwilling to wake YN just yet. He kept his hand on her cheek, his thumb brushing gently along her skin, grounding himself as he listened.
âThereâs a magazine,â Jeff continued with a hesitant sigh. âThey got photos of you and YN leaving the clinic yesterday after the ultrasound. Theyâre planning to release them tomorrowânoon sharp.â
The words hit him like a punch to the gut. Harryâs jaw tightened after he took a shaky breath, his eyes falling back on YN, still blissfully asleep. Theyâd planned everything so carefully, wanting to share the news of their son on their own terms. Theyâd waited for the perfect moment, wanting to protect this piece of their life from the relentless intrusion of the outside world. And now, it was slipping out of their hands.
âTomorrow?â he murmured, his heart pounding. He felt a surge of anger rising, and he closed his eyes, trying to steady himself. Jeff waited in silence on the other end of the line, letting him process the news.
âYeah,â Jeff said softly. âI wanted to give you a heads-up. Figured youâd want to tell people yourselves, do it in a way that feels right.â
Harry nodded, even though Jeff couldnât see him, his fingers still resting on YNâs cheek, feeling the soft warmth of her skin. âThanks, Jeff,â he finally whispered, his voice tight. âIâllâermâweâll figure it out.â
He ended the call and placed the phone back on the table, his shoulders slumping as he tried to process what to do next. He looked down at YN, her face peaceful in the darkness, and he felt a pang of guilt at the thought of waking her. She deserved this moment of rest, free from worry and the weight of the world pressing in on them. But he knew he couldnât keep this from her. Not when it was about their son.
Leaning down, he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, his hand moving to cradle her cheek as he murmured softly, âBaby, wake up.â
She stirred, her brows knitting together as she blinked up at him, still half-asleep, a faint smile gracing her lips as she registered his face. âH?â she whispered, her voice groggy and warm. âWhat time is it?â
âToo early,â he murmured, his own voice weighed down by the news he had to deliver. âSorry tâwake you, but thereâs something we need tâtalk about.â
Her eyes focused, a flicker of concern replacing the drowsiness as she sat up a bit, her hand resting on his. âWhatâs wrong?â
Harry took a deep breath, brushing a thumb across her cheek. âItâs the pictures,â he paused with a sigh, âfrom yesterday, after our appointment. Paparazzi took photos, and theyâre planning to release them by noon tomorrow.â
The weight of his words settled over her, and she let out a quiet sigh, her gaze dropping to the bed. Theyâd known this was a possibilityâtheir lives were never entirely privateâbut it didnât make it any easier to swallow. She leaned into his touch, her fingers lacing through his as they both sat there in the stillness of the early morning, grappling with the realization that their hand was being forced.
âWhat do we do?â she asked softly, looking up at him with a mixture of worry and sadness.
Harryâs hand moved to hold hers, his grip gentle but steady. âWe tell everyone ourselves. Today. Weâll release it before they can, on our own terms.â He paused, his voice softening. âItâs not what we planned, but, at least we can still share him with the world our way.â
YN gave him a small nod, her eyes meeting his with a quiet resilience. They both knew they didnât have any other choice. She leaned into him, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as they took a moment to steady themselves, finding strength in each other.
âOkay,â she murmured after a beat. âI trust you.â
They spent the next hour in the quiet sanctuary of their bedroom, talking about how to share the news. Eventually, Harry decided on something simple, something that would feel personal without giving too much away. He reached for his phone and opened the photo gallery, scrolling until he found the ultrasound image from their last appointment. It was a grainy black-and-white shot, but to him, it was beautifulâa glimpse of their son, small and precious, already loved beyond measure.
He glanced at YN, who gave him a reassuring nod, and then he took a deep breath, opening Instagram. With his fingers hovering over the screen, he crafted the caption, choosing each word carefully, his heart pounding in his chest.
Iâve been waiting to share this part of our journey with you all for a while now. YN and I are expecting a son, and we couldnât be happier to welcome him into the world soon. Thank you for your love and supportâcanât wait for you to meet him.
Love, H
He read it over, then looked at YN, who leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder. She gave him a small smile, her fingers brushing his arm. âItâs perfect, babyâ
With a final deep breath, he hit post, setting the phone down and letting out a long, steadying exhale. They sat there in the quiet of their room, wrapped up in each other as the reality of what theyâd just done settled over them. This was the first time they were sharing their son with the world, and it felt both exhilarating and terrifying.
Within moments, notifications began to flood in, messages of excitement, love, and support from fans around the world who had been waiting eagerly for news like this. Harry glanced at YN, his hand finding hers once more as he gave her a small, relieved smile.
âCats outâv the bag.â He laughed softly.
She leaned into him, pressing a soft kiss to his shoulder. âThey love you, H. Theyâll love him, too.â She reassured.
As the sun finally began to rise outside their window, casting a gentle warmth over the room, Harry held her close, feeling a sense of peace he hadnât expected. Despite the forced timing, despite the circumstances, they had done this together. And from this moment on, they would continue this journ, hand in hand, as a family.
Weeks passed by, and it another chilly March evening, and soft candlelight flickered in the bathroom, casting a warm glow over the walls as steam rose lazily from the tub. The couple sat tucked into the water, surrounded by a mountain of bubbles that floated between them. The bathroom was cozy as Harryâs arms wrapped around her from behind, she leaned back against his chest, her bump nestled between them.
Heâd insisted on running the bath for her, adding just the right amount of lavender oil to soothe her muscles, and now they were enveloped in that warm, calming scent, the soft sounds of water lapping around them. Harryâs hands rested gently on her belly, his fingers tracing light circles over the stretched skin as he hummed contentedly, clearly lost in thought.
After a few minutes of quiet, he dipped his head to press a kiss to her shoulder, murmuring, âYou know, we havenât really settled on a name yet.â
YN grinned, biting back a laugh. "Sure we have. Fetus Stylesâdonât you remember?â
Harry groaned dramatically, his head falling back against the tub. "God help this boy."
She chuckled, turning her head to look at him. "Fine, fine. So, what do you have in mind, love?"
Harry hummed thoughtfully, his fingers still tracing light circles over her bump. "I dunno. Something that isnât Fetus or something basic, like David.â
"Otis?" she suggested with a playful smirk. She knew he hated the name.
He snorted, his chest vibrating against her back, shaking his head. "Baby, Otis is the name of that big slobbery dog at the park. Our son deserves better than being named after a drool machine."
She playfully splashed a few bubbles toward him, her laughter filling the room.. "Alright, alright. So, we're vetoing Otis and Fetus, oh wise one.â
âGood,â he said, lowering his head ever so slightly and nibbling her shoulders gently. âSo, what else is on your list, then?â
She leaned her head back against his shoulder, looking up at the ceiling as she tried to recall some of the names sheâd been turning over in her mind. âI do like Ezra.â
âEzra,â he repeated, as if tasting the sound of it. âItâs alright. But it sounds like heâd be in a jazz band or something.â
âMaybe heâll be in a jazz band,â she countered, grinning as she nudged his arm. âA little musician just like his dad.â
Harry hummed, his fingers lightly drumming a rhythm against her belly. âAlright, fair point. Ezra can be a maybe. What else?â
She let out a thoughtful hum, swirling her hand through the bubbles. âWhat about August?â
âAugustâs alright I guess,â he said slowly, tilting his head as he considered it. âBut I donât know. August Styles..feels like heâd be a mischievous little troublemaker.â
âLike his dad, you mean?â she teased, glancing up at him with a knowing smile.
He grinned, shrugging. âIf he takes after me, heâll definitely be one,â he admitted, pressing a kiss to her temple. âBut I dunno. Still doesnât feel quite right. But I do like the idea of an A name.â
They lapsed into a comfortable silence, each of them lost in their thoughts as the water lapped softly around them. Harryâs hands moved back to her belly, his touch gentle and reverent, as if he were trying to connect with their son through the warm water and the growing curve of her bump. She closed her eyes, letting herself sink into the warmth of the bath and the feeling of his arms around her.
After a while, Harry spoke again, his voice soft and thoughtful. âWhat about Atlas?â
YN opened her eyes, blinking up at him, a smile tugging at her lips. âAtlas?â
âYeah.â He shifted slightly, his hand still resting on her belly as he looked at her, his eyes warm. âItâs strong, yâknow? Unique. I like the idea of him having a name that feels like he could carry the world if he wanted to.â
YN let the name settle, repeating it to herself, and feeling it take root, becoming more than just a word. âAtlas Styles,â she said softly, letting the sound roll off her tongue. âIt fits him, I think. Strong like his kicks.â She giggled.
Harryâs face lit up as he grinned down at her, his dimples deepening, a twinkle of something unspoken sparking in his eyes. âExactly,â he murmured, trailing a hand gently over her bump. âAtlas Styles. Got the name of a proper legend already. Manchester United should be countinâ themselves lucky.â
YN laughed again, rolling her eyes as she turned to face him. âOh, really? Our boy is still going to save Manchester United, is he?â
âObviously,â Harry said, his grin widening. âJust imagine itâAtlas Styles, midfield maestro, dominating the pitch. The crowd chanting his name.â He mimics the sound of a roaring crowd in a hush, ââAtlas! Atlas!â He chanted in a whisper, âUnited will have never seen anything like him. Theyâd be winning the league every season with a name like that.â
She shook her head, fighting a laugh as she slipped a few bubbles onto his nose. âRight, because he wonât be busy enough carrying the world. Heâll just take Manchester United on his back too?â
Harry shrugged, brushing the bubbles away with a look of mock seriousness. âOur little Atlas can handle it all. With a name like that, heâll be unstoppable.â He leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. âBut, if heâs not into football, I sâpose thatâs alright too.â
YN smiled, squeezing his hand, warmth spreading through her as she thought of their little Atlas and all the dreams they had for himâfootballer or not, world-bearer or not, he would be loved beyond measure.

The rain pattered softly against the window as April rolled in, casting a gentle gray light over the nursery. YN stood by the door, watching Harry wrestle with the crib pieces scattered across the floor. She cradled her belly, which had grown significantly in the last month. Her due date was set for mid-May, only a few weeks away, and she could feel the weight of their son settling lower, as if he, too, was getting ready for the journey ahead.
Harry sat cross-legged on the floor, brow furrowed in intense concentration as he squinted at the instruction manual. The crib, which he had eagerly declared would be a breeze to assemble, now looked more like puzzle pieces that lay scattered around him, screws and wooden slats in disarray, as he muttered under his breath.
âAre you sure you donât want me to help?â YN asked with a soft grin, leaning against the doorway as she watched him struggle.
He looked up, shooting her a playful glare. âIâve got it, thanks,â he insisted, though he seemed far from convinced himself. He twisted a screwdriver, only for the wood to creak ominously in protest. Harryâs cheeks flushed, and YN bit her lip, stifling a laugh.
âSure you do,â she teased, crossing her arms over her bump. âMaybe our son will be crawling by the time you figure that out.â
Harry chuckled, dropping the screwdriver with a resigned sigh. âAlright, alright,â he said, running a hand through his curls as he gave her a dramatic pout. âGo on, laugh at the man trying his best to be a good dad. Just what I need, huh?â
She laughed, stepping into the room to get a closer look at his progressâor lack thereof. âYouâre doing great, honey,â she said, her tone light. âMaybe just⊠not great at building cribs?â
He rolled his eyes, but the hint of a grin played at the corners of his mouth. âYouâre lucky Iâm too tired to argue,â he mumbled. Then, before she could respond, he reached out, gently tugging her down to sit beside him.
âHey!â she gasped, though she let him guide her down, leaning into his arms. Her back rested against his chest, and Harry wrapped his arms around her middle, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek.
He maneuvered her gently onto the carpet, hovering over as his hands resting on either side of her, leaning close, his face only inches from hers, a mischievous glint in his eyes. âMaybe I should distract you so yâcanât mock me,â he murmured, his voice teasing.
Before she could respond, he started peppering her face with kissesâone on her forehead, her cheeks, her nose, her chin. She squealed, laughing as he continued, his lips brushing against her skin, his stubble tickling her and sending her into a fit of giggles.
âHarry!â she gasped between breaths, her hands on his shoulders as she tried to squirm away. âYouâre ridiculous!â
âRidiculous?â he repeated, grinning as he planted a kiss just above her lips. âMaybe. But itâs working, isnât it?â
She gave him a playful shove, but he only laughed, pulling her closer as he trailed his kisses down to her neck, the weight of him comforting as he hovered over her, his hands gentle on her sides. Finally, when her laughter had softened, he leaned back just enough to look into her eyes, his gaze warm and full of affection.
God, how he loved her.
After a moment, he brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, his thumb lingering on her cheek. âAlright,â he said with a sigh, glancing over at the mess of crib parts. âMaybe I could use those hands of yours.â
YN smiled, brushing her hand down his chest. âHm,â she hummed, âwhere?â
âOi!â The brunette giggled, swatting her wandering hand away as he sat up, shifting to be beside her. âWicked woman, you are. Get to work.â
She huffed, although there was no anger residing in her. Maybe an ache between her thighs, but thatâs something she could sort out with her husband later. She sat up, sitting cross legged beside Harry as he reached for the instruction manual.
The two of them sat side by side on the nursery floor, her hand resting over his as they sorted through the crib parts. Harry studied the instructions once more, pointing out the next few steps with a renewed confidence that was helped by her steady presence beside him. YN held the pieces steady while Harry carefully tightened each screw, the two of them working together, their laughter filling the room whenever something went slightly wrong.
Finally, after some teamwork, a bit of trial and error, and more than a few shared smiles, they placed the last piece into place, and the crib stood finished in front of them. They both sat back, admiring their handiwork, their hands intertwined as they took in the sight of the nursery coming together, piece by piece.
Harry looked over at YN, his gaze soft as he took in her face, still flushed from laughter. âNot bad for a couple of first-timers, huh?â
She leaned her head on his shoulder, holding her hands out in front of them and wiggling her fingers. âThanks to these.â
He snorted, gently taking her chin in his grasp to force her to look at him. âShut up and kiss me.â
As time passed by quicker than ever, spring took the city by full force, it was finally May. Flowers bloomed in their garden, trees shook with the delicate breeze of a looming summer. The sun fell behind the hills later and later, still offering a golden glow as they ate dinner.
A gentle rain drummed against the windows as YN and Harry shared a cozy dinner on the sofa, the warm light of a movie and fading sunlight flickering across their faces. They were nestled together, plates balanced on laps (and bump) as they laughed at an old comedy. Outside, the world felt comfortably distant. Everything about this moment felt ordinary, like the calm before a long-anticipated storm.
But YN hadnât been entirely honest with Harry tonight. She had felt a dull ache creeping into her lower back and belly since late afternoon, a sensation she had brushed off as yet another round of Braxton Hicks contractions. Her OB had warned her that false alarms would be common in these final weeks, and sheâd already had a few where theyâd rushed to the hospital only to be sent back home. So tonight, sheâd told herself that it was nothingâjust her body practicing, nothing more. But as they watched the movie, she found herself shifting uncomfortably, her breaths deepening whenever another wave rolled through her.
The contractions had grown stronger as they ate, each one hitting her lower back with a dull, throbbing ache before tightening sharply across her belly. She bit her lip, forcing a smile whenever Harry glanced her way, trying to play it off. But she couldnât ignore the way her body tensed or the cold bead of sweat she felt on her brow as she worked to stay composed.
As they finished their dinner, Harry stretched and stood, gathering their plates with a grin. âThink Iâll wash these up. You just sit there and relax, yeah?â
She smiled, nodding as he carried their dishes into the kitchen. He hummed softly to himself as he washed the plates, oblivious to the intensity of the pain building within her. She took a deep breath, gripping the edge of the sofa as a new wave hit, this one sharper than before, radiating from her lower back and spreading between her hips, each pulse making her muscles contract and tighten. She fought to keep her breathing steady, her mind racing as she tried to convince herself it was nothing.
But then, as she watched Harry rinse a glass, her vision blurred with another wave of painâdeeper, sharper, as if her body was tightening from the inside out. Her breath hitched, and this time she couldnât hide the small gasp that escaped her. She braced herself against the sofa, her fingers digging into the fabric as she fought to breathe through it.
Harry looked over, his brow furrowing as he noticed the tension on her face. He set the glass down in the sink, wiping his hands on a towel as he stepped back into the living room. âLove?â he asked, a hint of worry creeping into his voice. âYou alright?â
She forced a smile, trying to play it off, but her voice came out strained. âIâm fine. Justââ She grunted, âBraxton Hicks, I think.â But even as she spoke, it was like an aftershock of an earthquake, stealing her breath, the pain sharper than before. Her hand flew to her belly, fingers pressing down instinctively, and she had to close her eyes, focusing all her energy on breathing through it.
Harryâs eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening as he knelt beside her, his hand moving to rest on her knee. âThat doesnât look like Braxton Hicks,â he said gently, his voice laced with concern. âHow longâs this been going on?â
She hesitated, looking down as she tried to keep her breathing composed. âSinceâ since earlier this afternoon,â she admitted, wincing as the pain reached its peak, leaving her feeling helpless and raw. âI thought it was nothing, really. But itâsâI dunnoâ itâs getting worse.â
Harryâs face shifted from concern to something closer to alarm. He was quiet for a moment, clearly trying to process her words, before his gaze softened, and he slid his hand to hers, squeezing it gently. âAlright,â he murmured, his voice steadying. âWeâre not going to take any chances.â
YN nodded, relief flooding her at the calm resolve in his voice, but as she tried to stand, another contraction gripped herâthis time harder than any before. It started as a dull ache that quickly sharpened into an almost searing pressure, as though her whole belly was clenching in waves she couldnât control. She gasped, her knees buckling slightly as she clutched Harryâs arm.
Harryâs eyes widened as he caught her, his face shifting into a worried frown. âItâs happening, isnât it?â he whispered, almost to himself, before shaking off the shock and focusing on her. He wrapped an arm around her, guiding her back down to the sofa with a gentle firmness. âWeâre going tâbreathe through this one, yeah? Just like we practiced.â
She clung to his hand, squeezing hard as she fought to steady her breathing, but the pain was relentless, each wave feeling sharper than the last. Her body felt like it was working against her, every muscle tightening until she was gasping, unable to fully catch her breath. She buried her face against his shoulder, her voice a shaky whisper. âH, this hurts more than I thought it would.â
He brushed a hand through her hair, his voice soft but unwavering as he held her close. âI know, baby. Youâre doing so well. Just focus on breathing, alright? Iâve got you.â
As the contraction faded, she managed to catch her breath, slumping slightly against him, feeling a mix of exhaustion and dread for what was coming next. She felt his hand at the small of her back, steadying her, and she was grateful for the warmth of his touch, the calm he radiated even as she could see the worry flickering in his eyes.
âWeâre calling the OB,â he said, his voice gentle but firm. âThis doesnât feel like false labor, does it?â
She shook her head, unable to deny the reality that had settled in. âNo..I think this is real.â
Harryâs face softened, a mix of pride and worry as he watched her breathe through everything. When the pain passed, he took her face in his hands, his thumb brushing lightly over her cheek. âOkay,â he whispered, his voice steady. âWeâre going to get you through this, love. One breath at a time.â
With that, he stood, reaching for his phone and dialing their OB, staying right by her side as the call connected. He answered each of the doctorâs questions carefully, glancing at YN between each answer, his hand never leaving hers. After a few minutes, he hung up and turned back to her, a mixture of excitement and resolve in his gaze.
âShe says it sounds like early labor,â he told her softly, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear. âWeâre going tâthe hospital. Just you and me, hm?â
YN nodded, taking a steadying breath as she leaned into him, his strength anchoring her. With Harryâs arms wrapped around her, she knew that she had everything she needed to get through this.
The rain had softened to a gentle drizzle as Harry helped YN into the car, settling her carefully into the passenger seat, his hands gentle but steady. Her breaths were deep and focused, each one an effort to keep herself calm as the contractions continued, not close enough to urge a rush but strong enough to leave her nerves buzzing with anticipation. Harry buckled her in, his gaze warm and reassuring as he brushed his hand over her shoulder.
âYouâre doing great, sweet girl,â he hummed, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. âNext stop, hospital. Just you, me, and our little Atlas.â
YN managed a faint smile, squeezing his hand as he lingered beside her for a moment before closing the door and sliding into the driverâs seat. The car pulled away from their quiet street, its headlights cutting through the misty drizzle, as they made their way into the city. She leaned her head back against the seat, focusing on the rhythm of the rain tapping against the windows, letting the steady sound settle her mind.
As they drove, Harry glanced over at her frequently, his hand occasionally drifting from the wheel to hold hers. âLet me know if you need anything, yeah?â he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. âOr if I need to pull over. Anything at all.â
He rambled when he was nervous.
YN nodded, keeping her eyes closed, breathing slowly. Another contraction started, gripping her with that same deep ache that radiated from her back to her belly. She clenched his hand, squeezing as she focused on her breathing, her fingers white-knuckling against his. It was painful, but she willed herself to relax, to breathe through the intensity, letting her breath match the gentle rhythm of the rain.
Harry squeezed her hand back, his thumb tracing small circles on her skin. âOut of all women in the world who gave birth, youâre the most beautiful.â He smiled warily. His stupid compliment even made him want to smack himself upside the head. But he looked at his wife expectantly.
When the contraction passed, she released a shaky breath. Part of her wanted to shoot daggers into him with a glare, but looking at that goofy smile she fell in love with, the way his cheeks flushed pink and eyes looked unsure, she couldnât. She mustered out a weak, breathy laugh.âShut up.â She whispered.
They reached the hospital, and Harry pulled up to the lot, parking the car before rushing around to help her out. He wrapped an arm around her, guiding her through the automatic doors, his gaze steady and protective as he led her to the reception desk. The lobby was quiet, lit by soft fluorescent lights that made the polished floors gleam. Harry gently rubbed her back as they reached the counter, where a man with glasses and a walkie looked up with a polite smile.
âHi,â Harry said, his voice calm but firm, âweâre here for an admission. Our OB requested it.â He grinned lightly, seeking to be polite despite his nerves. He gave his wifeâs name through his smile.
The receptionist nodded, typing something into the computer before glancing back at YN, who was gripping Harryâs hand, her face pale and tense. After a moment, the man looked up. âAlright, we have you here. Just a moment.â
He picked up the phone, speaking briefly with someone before hanging up and nodding toward them. âPatient transport is on the way. Weâll get you into a wheelchair and up to the maternity ward to get settled.â
Harry thanked him, his hand resting on the small of her back, he murmured, âyâdoing so well, my sweet girl.â
She leaned into him, exhaling a shaky breath as another mild contraction started to creep in, but before she could fully brace herself, a transport worker arrived with a wheelchair.
Harry helped her ease down into it, kneeling beside her and brushing his thumb over her hand. She looked down at him, her expression a mix of pain and determination. âIâm alright,â she whispered, her words braver than she felt.
He met her gaze, his eyes full of pride and unwavering support. âI know you are,â he said softly, pressing a kiss to her knuckles before he stood and walked beside her as they made their way to the elevator. The ride up was quiet, each floor lighting up in sequence as they ascended to the maternity ward, and she found herself counting each breath, each second, each floor, until they finally reached the unit.
Once inside the labor and delivery ward, they were greeted by a nurse who led them into a dimly lit room that felt strangely peaceful, its walls painted a soft pink, the lights warm and low. The nurse introduced herself, her voice calm and soothing as she helped YN settle onto the bed, helping her into a hospital gown before taking her vital signs and asking a series of questions, jotting down notes while Harry sat by her side, holding her hand.
âLetâs get you as comfortable as we can,â the nurse said gently, adjusting the bedâs settings. âNow, youâre still in early labor, so weâre going to monitor you closely, but it could be a while yet.â
YN nodded, feeling both grateful and anxious at the prospect of waiting. The contractions continued, rolling in like waves, growing in intensity but not yet regular enough to signal active labor. Each one required her full focus; she found herself closing her eyes, breathing deeply as she squeezed Harryâs hand, centering herself with each wave of pain.
Hours passed, the pain deepening with each contraction as her body adjusted, stretching and preparing for the arrival of their son. The nurse checked in periodically, taking notes, adjusting her position, and checking her dilation with gentle reassurance, but progress was slow. The contractions were more frequent now, each one a sharp, relentless pressure that seemed to radiate from deep within her, pulling her to the very edge of her endurance.
Harry never left her side, his hand a steady anchor as he held hers, his voice low and soothing, guiding her through each breath. âI love you,â he whispered, his forehead resting against hers as they breathed together. âJust a bit longer, yeah? You got it.â
At one point, the pain became so overwhelming that she couldnât bear to sit still. Harry helped her stand, wrapping his arms around her as she leaned into him, her face pressed against his chest. Her arms draped over his shoulders, clinging to him as she rocked back and forth, swaying through each contraction, finding relief in the gentle rhythm. He whispered words of encouragement, his hands rubbing her back as she trembled against him, each wave of pain stealing her breath and leaving her gasping.
âThatâs it, baby,â he murmured, his voice a steady hum that she latched onto, focusing on the warmth of his words as the pain pulsed through her. âJust lean on me. Iâve got you.â
She clung to him, her fingers digging into his shoulders as the pain reached a peak, her knees weakening under the weight of it. But Harry held her up, his arms strong and steady, supporting her fully as she swayed, letting the movement carry her through each contraction. She pressed her forehead into his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath her cheek, grounding her, keeping her anchored in the storm of pain.
When the nurse checked again, the news was dishearteningâonly a few more centimeters dilated. YN felt exhaustion beginning to creep in, the hours of labor sapping her strength, but Harry was there, brushing damp strands of hair from her face, whispering soft reassurances as she closed her eyes, her head resting against his shoulder.
As the hours ticked by, the contractions grew sharper, more intense, each one like a wave crashing against her, forcing her to draw deeper into herself just to withstand the pain. Harry eased her back onto the bed, pulling a mask toward her face, releasing a gas that would help the pain. Her mind blurred under the relentless rhythm of labor. Yet, every time she opened her eyes, he was thereâhis gaze steady, his hand in hers, his words like an anchor.
She held the mask to her face with her other hand, breathing it in deeply. As backward as it sounded, even laboring and pushing out a baby, the thought of a seven inch needle being put into her spine scared her even more. The thought of an epidural was tempting, being numbed from the waist downâbut it made her stomach churn with anxiety, too. She had enough of that already, so she stuck to the gas.
YN lifted the gas from her nose, staring at Harry through half lidded eyes. âCanât wait to have sex with you in six weeks.â She mumbled, her voice hazy.
Harry eased the mask back onto her, his cheeks growing red from her clouded words. He let out a breathy laugh, âOkay, one step at a time, hm?â
At last, as dawn began to break outside, the sunlight bleak, barely there. The nurseâs expression shifted as she checked YNâs progress. She smiled, looking up with gentle relief. âWeâre almost there,â she said softly. âJust a little bit longer.â
Harryâs face lit up, his eyes shining as he looked down at YN, his voice soft and full of pride. He pressed a kiss to her sweaty forehead, brushing strands of her hair back. âHear that? Final stretch, baby.â
YN nodded, too exhausted to respond, but the warmth in his eyes gave her the strength to keep going. With every ounce of willpower she had left, she faced the final contractions, the pain almost blinding but her determination carrying her through, and Harryâs voice guiding her every step of the way.
Once she was ten centimeters, a team rushed in. Two nurses and the OB. Her legs were placed into stirrups, her gown bunched up over her tummy.
It was the longest, most intense thirteen hours of her life, but as she felt the final waves of pain, the medical staff guided her through the last moments, she clung to Harry, his hand a lifeline, his presence a comfort that wrapped around her like a shield. And with one last surge, a cry filled the room, and she knew it was all worth it.
âOh.â She whimpered, her own cry emitting from her as her son was placed onto her bare chest for the first time. A nurse wiped him down as he wriggled against YN, Harry leaning down by her shoulder, staring in awe.
That was his boy, his son. A piece of him and the love of his life brought forth into the world. He wouldnât be able to explain the feeling he felt as he flickered his gaze between his wifeâs and Atlasâs.
Sparse stands of brown locks sat atop his head, a color matching his fathers. He gently placed his hand atop it, his thumb rubbing against his forehead as the little boy continued to cry.
His eyes resembled his mothers, as did his nose. But everything else? That was all Harry. He cooed at him, whispering soft nothings to to his baby boy before the nurse approached him with medical scissors. âWould you like to cut the cord, dad?â
Dad.
Butterflies surged through his tummy.
He drew a deep breath, looking at YN for silent encouragement, to which she only smiled at him. Her husband, the father of her son.
He gently grabbed the scissors from the nurse, hesitantly approaching where he was told to cut. He looked at his Atlas who seemed to calm down a bit, slowly coming to terms with being brought out into the world. He steadied himself, and then with a delicate snip, he cut the cord.
As he handed them back to the nurse, he let out a breath he didnât know he was holding, the enormity of the moment settling over him. He looked down at the two he loved most in the world, lightly grasping onto his little feet and silently counting his tiny toes.
âSit.â YN softly ordered, holding the boy against her chest with one hand and patting the small spot beside her with the other.
He nodded slowly, easing himself down into the spot after lowering the right side bar so heâd fit. He leaned against YN, his feet still upon the floor.
The baby was swaddled into a pale blue blanket before she handed him over to Harry, his heart melting instantly. He cradled him against his chest, tucking his head down to place delicate kisses on his forehead, his cheeks, the tip of his nose. âI love you so much.â He whispered, hesitantly ripping his gaze away from his son onto his wife.
His lip quivered as he placed a kiss against her sweaty hair, âThank you so much.â His voice was delicate, a murmur. âI owe you everything.â
This was all he needed. His heart swelled with a love so profound, it felt almost overwhelming, as if the sheer depth of it might consume him. It was a love that stretched beyond anything heâd known, powerful enough to break him apart and put him back together all at once. But he embraced it, letting it fill every part of him, savoring each precious drop. For the first time in as long as he could remember, he felt exactly where he was meant to be.
This was home.

Frost and Flour
Pairing: Krampus!konigx reader
Cw: size kink, power play, slight cnc, breeding;
Inspired by this post.
Summery: in your village, men would dress as monsters on Christmas stealing women and children and run around the town. Your krampus had other ideas.
Did not proof read, I saw this post yesterday and tried to speed run this fic for it to be ready before Christmas. Might be bad and rushed. Will edit after new years.
Word count: 4k
The snow fell thick and soft, blanketing the jagged peaks of the mountains like a heavy quilt. The air was sharp and bracing, scented faintly with pine and the smoky warmth of wood-burning stoves. This was the village of your childhood Christmases, a place where the world seemed smaller, quieter, and steeped in old traditions. Nestled deep in the heart of the mountains, it felt like a hidden pocket of time where the modern world dared not intrude.
Traditions are the heart of the holidays, the thread that weaves magic into the season and shapes the way people celebrate. In every corner of the world, they bring warmth and wonder: streets lit up with strands of melted honey, the soft glow of advent candles peaking through the frosty windows and the -oh too comforting- aroma of cookies baking in old family kitchens.
But this village had its own unique tradition, one that set it apart from the glittering cities and quaint holiday fairs elsewhere. Here, Christmas wasn't just about warmth and cheer, it carried a shadow, a reverence for the old waysâ
both enchanting and a little haunting.
When winter arrived and snow blanketed the wooden rooftops, the young people who had left for the city always hurried back to their childhood homes. So did you. This year, you came earlier than most, arriving in November to help at your familyâs bakery. The holiday season brought plenty of special orders, far too much for your grandmotherâs old hands to handle alone.
As your hands kneaded the cookie dough behind the counter, your mind was heavy with thoughts and debates. The life youâd built back in the States wasnât badâa steady job, a cozy apartment near the city centerâbut as the warmth of this small, close-knit community enveloped you, a cold stone pressed heavily in your chest. Before sinking any deeper, the bell on the door jingled.
"Hello! Welcome to Frost and Flour, how can I help you today?" you greeted with a cheerful smile.
The manâwho, no doubt, had to bow his head to fit through the doorframeâreturned the smile, his lips barely visible beneath a fluffy green wool scarf.
"Hallo," his voice came out muffled, the words soft behind the thick fabric. Snowflakes clung to his blonde hair, drifting down like sugar crystals. He shook his head with a swift motion, trying to flick them off, and the gesture reminded you of a puppy entering your shop on a snowy day.
You recognized him, yet you couldn't really match the face to the name. He was the son of the lovely, old woman living on your street, Frau Lieder. Unlike her son, who resembled the mountains that surrounded your village rather than a man, Frau Lieder was as delicate as a breeze, tiny as an ant. Even though she was always quiet and humble, she'd always sit upright and proud when talking about her son, the colonel.
"It's not too late to place an order, no?" He spoke, taking his scarf off revealing his red, frozen cheeks.
"No, not at all. Come in, come in!" You encouraged quickly running to the tap to wash your hands off. "It's really freezing outside! Would you like anything warm to drink? Coffee, or tea?"
He shook his head in refusal, but the way his frozen eyelashes trembled seemed to tell a different story. "How about a coffee? I made too much for myself already," you patted your hands dry on the apron.
The man opened his mouth to protest, but you didnât give him a chance. Gently guiding him to an empty table, you set down the coffee before him and sat down beside him, placing your own cup next to his to ease the tension. He didnât seem eager to speak, so you attempted to fill the silence, though your words came out a little more forced than usual.
"You came a long way, didn't you? You look like a snowman," you remarked, trying to break the ice.
He only hummed in response, a soft sound, and you hesitated for a moment before pressing on. "Want sugar in your coffee?"
"It's fine like this, thank you," he said, his voice calm but distant.
An awkward silence settled between you both, thick and uncomfortable. He looked tired so you decided to give up. Not everyone wants to chit-chat, you understood that.
"So, what do you want to order?" You got right to the point.
"Oh, Ja... I need two Stollen," he replied.
"Yeah, we can definitely do that," you said, quickly moving into a list of other things you could offer. You kept talking, listing the flavors and sweet treats, drifting in how they were made and why you made them the best. He seemed taken aback by your sudden burst, but after a while, you saw him relax. He leaned back in his chair, spreading his legs comfortably, and took another sip of his coffee, the steam rising around him like a cloud. His icy blue eyes didnât leave you as you talked, causing your words to spill faster. They were fixed on you with a piercing intensity, scanning your every expression.
"So I think you should really add the chocolate cookies- we also make them vegan if that's the case-"
"That sounds good," he finally said, agreeing to the order. You jotted it down quickly.
"Great choice, I'll throw in some samples of the others as well!" You grinned, excited for people to try your new recipes.
The cups were filled with coffee still. You lingered as much as you could, writing as to avert his eyes. What's up with people with blue eyes and staring like that? You could still feel his gaze on you as you re-read the same 5 items for the thousandth time.
You shifted in your seat, unsure of what to do with yourself. He seemed to notice, and you caught the glimmer of amusement in his eyes.
"Something wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with a playful tease.
You swallowed, trying to regain your composure. "No, just... not used to quiet customers," you murmured, avoiding his gaze.
He hummed, just as you were accustomed. You stood up quickly, feeling the need to escape the weight of the silence, and found something to occupy yourself behind the counter, fiddling with a few stray utensils. The soft clink of ceramic was the only sound until, after a moment, he spoke. "You going to the Christmas fest tonight?" His voice was low, almost secretive.
"Yeah, so excited," you replied with a laugh, grateful for the change in topic. "Itâs the reason I came all this way!"
"Me too," he said solemnly, and something familiar downed on you. Thatâs when it hit you. "You're the one dressing as Krampus, aren't you?" you exclaimed, a bit too eagerly.
The surprise on his face was brief, quickly replaced by an expression that matched your own newfound curiosity. "IâI remember you," you added, turning to face him, a rush of memories flooding back. "Last year, I brought my younger sister tooâyou stole her and lifted her up in the airâswinging her around. She loved it so much."
"Ah, seems like I did a shit jobâkids are supposed to be afraid of me," he chuckled.
You thought about the scary outfit he'll wear tonight, the furs that will coat his big back doubling him in size. How he'll run around, stalking and shouting- you couldn't help but hope he will be chasing you as well.
"Being punished by Krampus sounds pretty good, to be honestâ"
You caught yourself too late, the words already hanging awkwardly between you. Maybe if you played dead, heâd just walk away, pretend nothing happened. You refused to acknowledge what youâd said, refusing to even glance at him. Faking a heart attack or any kind of medical emergency sounded plausibleâanything to escape the tension creeping up your spine. The silence stretched on, thick and uncomfortable.
You opened your mouth but no words came out.
A Christmas miracle happened right in that moment as an elderly customer entered the shop.
"Welcome to Frost and Flour! How can I help you?" You beamed without skipping a beat, grateful you didn't have to start choking or throw yourself on the floor.
As you listened to the customer and answered his questions, you felt a heavy set of eyes pressing down on your frame. You didn't look at him again, tried really hard not to. He finished his coffee, got up, and left without saying a word. At the last possible moment, the second between the door hitting the frame, his eyes met yours for one last time. And as the door shut with a loud thud, leaving a sudden silence in its wake, you realized you hadn't asked for his name. You looked down at the empty line left at the bottom of his order and wrote:
Krampus.
The sun set down, the sky turned from blue to orange and back to blue again. You had met with some friends at the small Christmas market, wandering around the little wooden shops that lined the square. Laughter and chatter filled the chilly air as you and your friends picked up festive Christmas toys, nibbled on gingerbread, and sipped warm drinks. The air was alive with the sound of the Christmas choir, their voices drifting through the market and adding a touch of magic to the evening.
As time passed and the night grew darker, the atmosphere shifted. The carolersâ songs faded and adults began to gather around the tables, glasses in hand. It wasnât long before Krampuses started appearing, stalking through the crowd. The sound of children screaming and running to their parents echoed through the square, while some men pretended to be brave, stepping forward to protect their girlfriends. You couldnât help but laugh as some of your friends found themselves the prey of a particularly mischievous Krampus, who chased them with exaggerated growls, making the whole scene feel like a playful dance between fear and festivity.
"What's wrong?" Your friend asked through laughter. "Come on, why they long face?"
You suddenly became aware of your thoughtful expression and quickly excused yourself. You had been thinking about your Krampus- both embarrassed and hopeful to see him again. "You better cheer up soon, or the krampus will get you!" Another friend teased.
The air was suddenly filled with the deep, resonant thud of drums, each beat like a heartbeat pounding through the square. A group of men pushed their way through the crowd, their rhythmic movements sharp and precise, their boots striking the cobblestones with deliberate thuds. Their dance was primal and hypnotic, an echo of something ancient and untamed. Behind them, two towering Krampuses loomed, their enormous cowbells clanging with a deafening ring that sent shivers through the crowd. Draped in heavy, fur-lined cloaks that swayed with each step, their grotesque masks twisted into demonic faces that seemed to leer at anyone who dared to meet their gaze. The crowd recoiled instinctively, a ripple of nervous laughter and gasps breaking the tension as the Krampuses stalked forward, commanding both fear and awe.
The main drummer, the same one who had parted the crowd in two, struck his drum with a horrendous bang that swallowed all other noise. In unison, the crowd fell silent, their collective breath caught in their chests. Yet, despite the stillness, a distant rhythm lingered in the airâa pulsing thrum that echoed: the rapid, heavy pounding of every heart present.
Thud!
The crowed took a step back in anticipation as the Krampuses looked around hungrily.
Thud! Thud!
The beats served as a count down, a warning and threat before the krampuses will be set free. You were too mesmerized by the show that you haven't realized you were being watched.
Thud! Thud! THUD!
That's when you noticed the taller monster staying still, focusing on you. Shivers creeped unbidden down your spine, cold and sharp, leaving goosebumps as they passed. Your stomach plummeted, a hollow, twisting ache of dread settling deep within you, even before your gaze met his. You didnât need to see his eyes to recognize it was himâundeniably, inescapably him.
The rhythmic pounding of the drums grew faster, more frantic, but the meaning escaped you, lost in the haze of your thoughts. Blurred figures rushed past, their panicked shouts blending into something you barely registered. Shoulders slammed into you, hands shoved, voices screamed, everythingâthe chaos, the fear, the blinding motionâblurred and faded, except for that mask. That awful, looming mask. Its hollow gaze pinned you in place, your focus narrowing until it was the only thing in the world that mattered.
Then, like the sharp crack of a pin dropping onto glass, the veil lifted. The muffled roars of the crowd became deafening, the banging and fireworks thundered in your ears, and the swell of scared people pressed against you, pulling you back into reality.
Run.
The word tore through your mind, an instinct louder than the drums, louder than the crazy fantasies you had. Run. You have to run.
The adrenaline hit you in full force, blood pumping hot through your veins as your feet pounded against the uneven ground. The small, twisted streets were making it harder for you, but you didnât dare look backâyou didnât need to. You knew he was there. You could feel it, like a cold breath on the back of your neck.
You knew in the moment you broke eye contact, the second your body shifted to flee, he was already moving. His feet swept through the mud, closing the distance with the precision of a predator. He wasnât chasingâyou realized, with a spike of fearâhe was hunting.
Exhaustion hit you hard, your breath coming in ragged gasps as your legs felt like lead, slowing to a near halt. Your body begged for rest, and you made the mistake of glancing over your shoulder. The street was emptyâsilent. No sign of him, nothing but the faint echo of your own heavy breathing. As you huffed in relief, grateful for the brief moment of peace, a hand clamped down on your waist, and another shot up to cover your mouth, muffling the scream you let out instinctively.
It all happened so fast, the way he grabbed you and spun you on his shoulder as if you weighted nothing. He ran away with you through the crowds, some people cheered and others ran away in fear of being the next victim. He ran past the crowds, past the houses and the gardens. The snow was getting higher and the lights were getting dimmer as the two of you strayed further from the towns fest.
No matter how much you screamed or how many questions you'd ask, he'd remain silent, eyes straight ahead not minding you at all.
"Please, stop! Put me down!" you begged for what felt like the hundredth time.
This time, he paused. With a grunt, he hurled you onto the snow-covered ground, your body colliding with the icy surface.
"You make so much noise," he growled, his voice low and rough. "I wonder how much louder you can get."
You stumbled onto your feet but the slippery ground betrayed you as you slipped again. Above you, the massive figure loomed, his imposing horns casting jagged shadows across the snow.
Your eyes were getting watery and your lip began to tremble. You were scared- your heart thumping and body trembling, that was fear. But the excitement that grew in your stomach and the urge to rub your legs against each other were something else entirely.
"Please," you whispered as a last plea, curling up as to make yourself as small as possible.
"Don't play dumb with me, little one. You deserve to be punished, you'll take what I'll give you and say thank you," he said.
Your eyes moved frantically from his mask to his muddy boots, then up his legs to the hard erection visible through his black pants before meeting the black holes where eyes were supposed to be.
"Please," you cried out doe eyed not sure what you were begging for.
The beast fell to his knees with a heavy sound making you flinch. You tried to push yourself further, but his strong hand grabbed at your ankle harshly. He dragged you by the foot, your skirt rising up as your ass slided on the cold snow. He let go of your leg, hand moving to your inner knee, slowly dragging his nails up your thigh.
"So sensitive," he coes when your skin reacts so eagerly to his touch. You instinctively grabbed at his hand which hovered above your panties. He paused his movement, seemingly amused at your attempt. "Go on," he leaned closer, covering your body with his own, the mask mere inches from your face. "Fight back," he breathed out a threat. "Try and fight me off, little lamb."
His hand slapped your clothed pussy, the weak attempt at a stopping him completly ignored. You let out a loud moan at the sudden feeling of pain.
His calloused hand started rubbing up and down the thin fabric. The daunting realization of how wet being hunted down like pray made you hit you as the panties became drenched.
"Aren't you ashamed?" He teased, fiddling with the zipper of his pants, tugging them just enough to free his large cock. "Being violated gets you this wet, Schatz?"
You whimper and squirm trying to get away from his touch, thriwing your hands at him- scratching and grabbing at his horns and neck.
Pathetic. Thatâs the only word for it. You know youâre not trying to escape or fight back. No, youâre just edging him on, hoping he'll snap and take out all his built up anger on you.
He easily grabs your wrists in one rapid motion. No matter how much you'd try, pulling with your whole body and then some, his grip would effortlessly stay the same.
"I'm going to fuck you," he announced pinning your hands above your head with one hand. "You will cry and scream and plead- and you will swallow every inch I give you."
He pulled your panties to the side placing his angry tip at the entrance. In the dead of night, under the midnight sky the lewd, wet sound of his dick spreading your juices was so loud.
No waiting, he pushed himself inside your throbbing cunt splitting you open.
"F-Fuck," you plead. "T-Too big, 's too big!" Your gummy walls stretch around his girth, causing your to choke in pain. The resistance slowly fades away as your cunt leaks more with every shallow thrust as he fills you up in ways you've never thought were possible.
"You can take it," he hissed, allowing you to adjust to his size. His cock was throbbing inside of you, pulsating eagerly. "You feel that? Feel what you do to me? I'm so hard for you, Schatz. Don't you wanna make me feel good?"
"Agh~," you cry out as you feel more of his size slipping inside your wet cunt. He let's go of his tight grip bringing one of your hands down to your stomach. His hand on top of yours as he's bullying his cock inside you. You feel him moving, the buldge in your stomach rising and lowering in sync with his thrusts. He growled loudly as you spammed around his dick so soon, moaning loudly and rolling your eyes in the back of your head, finally allowing him complete access as you cum on his fat cock.
"You're the tightest cunt I've fucked in a long time," he said bringing his hands on your hips angling you slightly better. His balls were hanging on your ass and his tip was pushing twords your womb.
If you could think straight, you'd be embarrassed of cumming just from being filled, of the moans and gasps you made with every inch he gave you. But the warmth of the village is distant and the ground behind your back is freezing, you need him- his warmth- to keep the cold from swallowing you whole.
Through teary eyes, you look at him. The faint light spilling from the village clings to his mask and coat, tracing his silhouette in an otherworldly glow, as if he were carved from shadow and firelight. He is no longer just a man draped in beast's clothes;
And yet, his gaze lingers on you, heavy and unreadable, somewhere between a silent threat or solemn apology.
It started slowly, dragging his member out then pushing it back in with slightly more forced than before. Your whole body was pressed deeper into the ground, head bobbling to his increasing rhythm.
One if his hands reached up to your chest, cupping one of your breast through the cotton material of your dress, the other digging into the side of your hip. He found your hardend nipple with ease, rubbing it between his fingers. He'd pinch and drag them only to see them bounce more viciously.
"Shush," he'd scold through heavy breaths. "If you keep moaning like that people will hear you. They'll see you spread wide getting your pussy stuffed, is that what you want?"
When his words were only getting you more riled up, he'd let go of your hips moving it to your loud mouth. He fell onto of you, his heavy body crushing your smaller frame, one hand desperately pulling at your tits while the other pressing hard on your mouth. He pounded into you like a man starved, abusing your needy hole.
You looked so pretty right now, your Krampus thought behind his mask. Your face was flushed, your eyelashes sticking together from tears. Strands of hair, damp from the snow melting behind you, clung to your face, yet your eyes were hazed with pleasure. He got you like this, so pathetic and cock drunk. You tried to say something but your words were muffled.
"Shut up, just a little- a little longer longer-," he sounded desperate, a change in his steady demeanor. "You'll take all I give you, every last drop of cum- Fuck- I'll pump you full of cum, you horny bitch," he groand against your neck, thrusting into you deeper than before.
He fucked you through his orgasm, cock twitching and slaming hot cum inside your cunt, a white ring foaming where your body met.
He fucked you through your orgasm, his dick barelling into you making sure you won't spill a drop of this gift he had given you.
Your legs were shaking around him, hands dirty and tired from clawing at the ground. His chest rumbled against your own.
After he pulled out, he shoved his fingers in its place- pushing his cum deep into you. You'd lick them clean afterwards, after he pulled you back on your feet. Your eyes tried to find his behind the devil mask, as his fingers explored your mouth.
You didn't.
The night didnât feel as cold as before, the stars no longer just wishes in the sky, but silent witnesses to everything that had unfolded. You didnât dare move, or speakânot before he would at least. You tensed, waiting for words that never came, as he grabbed you with an eerie calm, lifting you once more, just as he had in the beginning

Your fingers glided through the screenâwhich was on its lowest brightness settingâskimming through the terms and conditions of your contract, noting anything that stood out, before you threw the phone aside back on the nightstand and fell back down on your bed, pulling the comforter on yourself, as you try and relax your otherwise restless brain.Â
Tired shallow breaths leave your chest, your eyebags felt heavy, almost weighing you downâand the light peeking from your curtains almost caused a headacheâthere was this feeling that grew in the pit of your stomach that you couldnât quite label, a mix between both nausea and the dreadful feeling of doom, and after effect of an intense hangover, that didnât seem to go away even if you drowned it in water and pills.Â
You hated it, you hated how being drunk leads you to do impulsive shit, and you hated the aftereffects making you so wary of your decisions, which only resulted in you sowing every decision you make.Â
Everytime you drink, you end up regretting it, and promising yourself that you won't ever againâitâs not that you're a heavy drinkerâYou just donât trust yourself, you never have, but the alcohol really does wonders in bringing those feelings of deep-rooted insecurity up to the surface.Â
Itâs really not your fault, it was an after party for the cast and crew in celebration of your series finalĂ©âYou didnât do well under pressure, and when everyone around you was pushing you to take another hit and another shot . . and well saying no would have ruined the moodâYou donât regret going on your phone, and you most definitely didnât regret emailing a response back for the hosting offerâYou wouldâve accepted anyways, the alcohol just gave you the push you didnât have before.Â
It still triggers your anxiety, because youâre jumping into something headfirst with nothing prepared, you havenât done that in ages.Â
You sigh, getting up from your bed, youâre clearly not going to get any sleep with this much stress, it would be best if you get some air, to calm down . . .Â
You were still in your pajamas, a large winter coat and hat covering most of your features (in order to avoid paparazzi), as you made your way through the streets, your hands buried in your pockets, forming fists as you looked through your surroundings. It was early november, barely any snow to be found yet it was colder than any winter youâve ever experienced in the city.Â
Itâs been four years since you moved out to the outskirts of Pyroxene, you used to live in the capital, before your acting career even started. You even attended University there, not much going on with your degree anymore though. A lot of your friends still live there, and sometimes you miss the bustling streets, the noisy cafeâs, the ability to meet up with your friends as often as youâd like, or the feeling of homeâHowever, if thereâs one thing you donât miss, itâs the fucking traffic.Â
The traffic there was hell. You still have a small private condo in the capital under your name, considering a lot of your filming jobs take place there, and it seemed like a better investment than renting a hotel room every time, and hotels generally trigger your germaphobia . . âPlus itâs a lot cheaper just renting, and convenient for last minute things also hotels in the capital are fucking expensiveâand everytime you film having to drive back and fourth made you want to take a knife to your throat, but thatâs not a hotel exclusive problem.Â
You snapped out of your thoughts, when you heard a car horn, realizing you had walked straight into traffic.Â
âShit.â, you ran across the street as fast as you could, and for a moment you started believing in God again, because that was a close one.Â
Y/n and Navia beef because I looped "Girls so confusing" remix a lil too much and I wanted to have a friendship rebound in this because I clearly ain't getting one irl. (ew trauma dumping? in front of my yogurt/j)
I decided to double post and publish both pov's (praise me frfr/j), so you can get a grip on how things might flow?! Also creating relationships of side characters and dynamics as we move along, I want ya'll to really know these characters.

Seven days // Zach mclaren x female!reader
Summary ; After an injury from soccer, Zach is forced by his doctor to rest his feets at home which leads him to order food. It was just supposed to be one night, but it was before seeing how pretty you are. And this is how you end up meeting him almost every night on your shift because he couldn't stop himself from ordering just to see you on his door . The food is great but he's now looking for another taste...
Warnings : None. it's purely romcom coded with all the fluff plotline and the cheesy lines filled because i needed this <3 (the delivery trope is so much underrated.)
Author's note : This is dedicated to @nadvs because we belong in the same zach fanclub. but also it's for all the zach's girlies. âšâŒïž
There was no one who loved winter more than you. you were always the first to look forward to this season of the year. From the month of November, you waited at your bedroom window for the first snowflakes, the first white trees, the first mist on the window, the first icy breath on the snowfall. You couldn't wait for the city to be immersed in the Christmas spirit with all the decorations in the streets, the lightened places, the warm outfits to alleviate the chattered teeth and the frozen hands stuck on the pocket. The sunny sky above the roofs of the houses completely covered in snow, the sidewalks buried under the ice, and the snow was so pretty to contemplate in the parks, northern lights and the winter landscapes.
You were definitely a winter girl. that night like all the others where you were not with your nose buried in your books or on the screen of your phone scrolling all your tiktok fyp, you were working as a delivery girl in a chinese restaurant a few meters away from your home. The old couple who ran the house had agreed to take you in, even without any professional experience, and you had always been grateful to them. They were friendly people with immigrant backgrounds like you. You bonded easily, and you were a bit like their granddaughter. It was crazy how the clash of cultures could bring people together.
Because you had been lazing around in your bed for too long, you had to take a fast shower, and leave the apartment quickly. you hadn't even been able to put on a coat as you were already heading to your workplace. the only thing you had time to do was get into the frosty december mood with an eternal classic of your playlist music in your ears called âLast Christmasâ by Wham.
you didn't like being late, because it made it seem like you didn't take your job seriously even though it was currently one of the things that mattered the most to you. you had good bosses, nice colleagues and in addition to your salary, you received generous tips. you may not have been rich but life offered you countless things to make you happy.
the only thing she had never given you before was a boyfriend. you'd like to say you weren't desperate about it but you were already in your late twenties and had no experience. it shouldn't be shameful to be single and a virgin but you were starting to believe that you would never find the right person. However, you had crushes but you were just good at accumulating them, not collecting them.
a woman should think more about her studies than about guys. and you agreed, but it was terribly frustrating to see the whole world pairing up when you had never kissed anyone, or even discovered what true love was. it was completely ridiculous.
you pushed the door of the restaurant, your entrance punctuated by a shrill sound of a bell. you greeted your work colleagues, put on your outfit and apologized to the bosses. you were ready to return to service.
âI don't mind if you're late here, but don't be late for the customer " the grandmother behind the counter gently scolded you, with a compassionate smile on her face.
âThere is no faster or more reliable delivery person than me. I remind you that I have five stars on the site.â
âthink you can beat me?â Spencer, one of your work colleagues, had challenged you.
âi already did. but thanks you, youâre adorable but keep going, I love seeing you believe in your dreams.â
you giggled before grabbing the bag of food. when you looked up at the address, your eyes widened.
â what's the matter ? â he asked because of the sudden look in your face. â Something's wrong ? â
â it's justâŠi already delivered this guy almost everyday this weekâŠi'm just kinda surprised, you know ? â
â you doubt the quality of my food ? â questioned your boss with a fake offended tone.
â no, lady su. nobody makes better food as you in this town but isn't-it strange ? â
"maybe it's not about the food that he orders so much." had simply commented on the grandfather who passed by with a steaming tray of delicious dumplings with a plate of Peking duck.
you rolled your eyes, not believing a word he had just said. but he replied with a wink. sometimes you wondered if they weren't your real grandparents.
you left the restaurant before starting your motorcycle. on the way, you began to regret not having brought a jacket or scarves because you were starting to shiver. the cold was terrible with the wind which literally felt like a blizzard. your body felt colder against the temperature and you had been sneezed on several times. your ears were icy, and you were sure your bones were frozen. at least your fingers were.
you parked in front of the building. you rang the bell for him to open the building door for you before going up the stairs.
you knew the place by heart now that you came there every day. even though you tried not to think about it, it gave you a strange feeling knowing that he ordered at the restaurant every day. it was quite curious. you recognized that the food was incredibly good, but so much so that he wanted to eat it every day?
no way.
impossible.
you weren't complaining about having such a good client, it was very cool but you had to ask yourself questions. you barely had time to knock on the door when it opened, as if he had pathetically and desperately waited behind until you arrived.
âheyâ his voice was always so friendly, so eager to greet you.
âheyâ you replied with the same intonation, before handing over the bag of food.
Usually, you never bothered to take a closer look at your customers. you delivered and left but this time, you couldn't help but observe him from the third time you came. he must have been the same age as you. he was easily taller than you, his size forcing him to look down on your frame. he had intensely blue eyes, even brighter in the light of the hall.
and you could tell by his athletic shape that he had a sports career at his college. but judging by the way he grimaced when he walked, it was on break. you could tell that he had recently had a problem with his foot. you didn't need to have studied medicine to know that.
even if he wanted to hide it from you, you could hardly ignore that he was in pain.
as he picked up his bag, you sneezed. three times in a minutes. you tried to appear completely normal but it would have been hard for him to act like he hadnât heard anything.
âiâm s-sorry.â you apologized. â i'm fine. â
âdonât tell me you deliver in those clothes ? â
"it's okay. it's not about the co..." you sneezed.
âwhat did you say already?â he mocked you softly. âhold on. can you wait just a second?â
âw..."
you couldn't finish your sentence as he already had his back turned to you. you sighed slightly. you couldnât lie about how terribly cold you were. you were shaking, and your cheeks were frozen.
when he returned, he was holding a jacket in his hand.
âI canât accept it, Iâm sorry.â you politely refused.
âIâm not going to let you go without it.â
âItâs embarrassing. and itâs not mine.â
he placed the jacket on your shoulders, ignoring your words. ânow itâs yours. â
â you're too kind. Iâll give it back to you after my shift.â you replied, thanking him.
âIt can wait until tomorrow.â
"Are you sure? I don't want to take advantage of your kindness."
âyouâre better like thatâŠâ he hesitated for a long time before answering. âIt looks good on you, better than it does on me.â
âthen I should keep it.â you joked.
your little moment was interrupted by the vibration of your phone. it was spencer. you smiled, and replied âsorry, I have to go.â
you came home around two in the morning, the night had been long but warmer with your client's jacket on your back. you felt so good in it that when you got home, you kept it on for a few more minutes. the garment carried his scent, it was soft and surprisingly light as a perfume.
the next night he ordered again. you had left home early so as not to be late for work. he ordered at the same time every day, and he was very conscientious about this detail. so he was always your first customer of the day.
you had picked up the food, and walked over to his house in a fuzzy coat and matching boots. you had opted for something warmer, and you were carrying three bags in your hands. Chinese food, coat and apple shortbread with an aromatic touch of cinnamon and spices. you had spent your free time cooking instead of studying in order to thank him for kindly lending you his coat because it had saved you.
you followed the recipe from a culinary influencer that you followed on Instagram. you hoped that would have an effect on him.
you rang the doorbell. and the moment he opened the door, you were about to greet him with your charming delivery girl voice, but the words stuck wildly in your throat. you swallowed hard, forcing yourself to stay calm.
you were by no means shy, but he had literally managed to shove all of your self-confidence down your soul with his half-naked appearance. a hot steam hovered his tonic body and a white towel loosened his sculpted hips.
his chest was hot and wet as if he had just come out of a sauna. you wanted to look away but how were you supposed to ignore the size of his biceps when he rubbed his hair, the shaking movements of his arm making splash some beads of water. how were you supposed to ignore the six-packs exposed under your eyes. this body was just full of sins and you were about to lose your job if you heard your thoughts.
you gulped loudly, before finally being able to speak your mind. â hey ! hereâs your jacket. and i⊠â
his smile was huge and in a way so warm. but mostly, it was his gaze. the way his eyes were fixed on your face, and your opened lips to catch every word of your mouth killed you. you tried to avoid his piercing stare but you couldn't escape it.
â i made you some shortbread. i just hope you like cinnamon and apples. â
â you really made this for me ? â he asked, like he couldn't believe it himself.
â it's my way to show you how thankful i am. â
â seems like you've got a lot for me today. â
â "It's nothing. And you're a loyal customer. It's very nice to order from us every day. My bosses appreciate it."
âmy name is zach.â he replied, holding out his hand to you.
ây/n.â
âI should have known you had a pretty name.â
you smiled before giving him all the bags. he returned a few seconds later with the tip. and your eyes widened at the amount.
â wow... that's nice but i don't think I deserve that much money. "
â you don't want my money ? â he teased you softly, a little smile curving his lips. â what can I offer you that would please you ? â
â you don't need to. just stay safe, okay ? â
â it comes from the girl who makes deliveries on cold winter days without a jacket. â
â i was stupid, it doesn't count. and I was late to my job, I didn't think too much. but now can you see ? i've got a superb coat. â
he stared at you longer than he should. obviously, you were pretty. you were coming back from a long drive in the wind. you still had snowflakes in your hair, the tip of your nose was damp from the cold, your lips were slightly chapped and your breathing was foggy. you also wore an earmuff on your head which made your hair sag.
but you still looked so beautiful to him. his eyes were sparkling under the lights of the hall of his apartment.
â would you mind if i ask you why you are ordering everyday ? i mean yea the food is really great and i'm happy that you're enjoying it truly. but it can't possibly be this awesome ? and deliveries cost some money at the end of the day, so is itâŠjust about the food already ? â
you know it was a risk to ask something like that but you couldn't hold yourself to hide this thought. you kept coming back everyday to his place, it was kinda your right to want to know. and also, he was not forced to answer you. you were anxious and afraid because you didn't want to seem bothered by him. you started to play with your fingers, slowly biting nervously your lower lip.
a little chuckle came from his mouth, before answering your thoughts. â you've got me. â
â you think i'm dumb, zach ? â you lighty joked to relieve the tension.
â oh no. i know you're smarter than me, maâam. â
â it's not true. you're just obvious. â
â but the food is really good. â he defended himself by pulling out of the bag the box of noodles. â want a bite ? â
â i'm working. â you said.
â actually, you're talking to me. â he corrected.
how silly.
â to be honest, i need to go back to work. my bosses will not be happy if i took too much time with a client. â
â then let's see each other without you being the delivery girl and me being the client. â
â i don't think it's professional. â
â think the way you stared at me when i opened the door was professional too ? â
â you know what you were doing. â you mumbled in your throat.
â and you're just mad because it worked. admit it, pretty. â
you rolled your eyes and he laughed. â it's not like you've got the body of an old man. â
â i'm a soccer player so i need to stay in good shape. i'm working out every day. â
â oh i totally suck at this game. â you admitted.
â you just need to learn. â he answered. â because, i promise, it's easy for a sport. â
â i don't know if i can trust you when i look at your footâŠit doesn't look better since i come hereâŠâ
you didn't realize what you had just said until you caught his intense and piercing blue gaze on you. you looked away and he responded.
you had observed him. and you had just exposed it.
âItâs just an accident. It's nothing serious. I just have to be careful for a month but then I can start playing soccer and matches again. "
âyou have to really love it to want to pick it up after an accident.â
âI donât really have a choice.â
you would have loved to finish this conversation and even chat a little more with him but the clock was ticking and you had other clients.
"Okay. We can see each other again as normal people."
you wrote your number on a piece of paper before greeting him. you felt a little sorry for cutting him off in such a serious moment like this but you didn't have time anymore.
you couldn't afford to lose your job. you needed it. you were a student and you didn't really have the choice of working if you wanted to enjoy life, which was quite ironic.
When you got home, you had your phone on. zach sent you a message.
zach mclaren: hey
zach mclaren: your shortbreads were perfect
you: maybe i should start a business :)
(you boost my ego. thank you.)
zach mclaren: you know how to boost my ego too when you stare at me for so long
you: i was just checking that you don't get cold...
zach mclaren: you're not good at lying
zach mclaren: it's a compliment
you: i'm going to sleep.
zach mclaren: are you working tomorrow? i would love to see you
you: you're lucky. it's my day off.
it had already been half an hour since you said you were going to sleep but you continued to text zach. you would probably regret it tomorrow when you were half asleep in class but for now, you were responding to all his texts every second.
after your day of classes, you came home to change. you were meeting zach at the christmas market in a few minutes and you wanted to look presentable. you had arrived early for the meeting for fear of being too late, you hoped not to seem desperate or in too much of a hurry. when you saw his silhouette in the crowd, you smiled.
he was walking towards you, his hands in his pockets, and his lips were twisted into an adorable smile that was only addressed to you.
It was so warm in places like that but it was even better when you had someone by your side. you would think he was your boyfriend but he wasn't. you were still sadly single in winter.
âdid you find something you like? " he asked.
âi was waiting for you.â
â did you wait a long time ? â he was now worried, but you reassured him.
â also last time you said that you didn't have the choice to continue soccerâŠand i was wondering why ? i mean, there are a lot of alternatives. â
â i'm justâŠgood at it ? i always focused on soccer since i'm a kid, and i've got no other skills or passions so i can't really give up. â
â there is no other things that you're good at except that ? i don't believe you. yes, i don't know you but you can't tell me you're only skilled at just shooting your feet in a ball. â
â i really need to show you what soccer is. â he chuckled out loud, looking at you're confused look.
â what do you do when you're at home ? you're just watching TV ? don't you read ? â
â it's boring to read. â
you tried not to wince at his comment but your mouth was pursed slightly. âHave you ever tried to at least read some?â
you chatted while walking through the aisles filled with small traders. there was everything: jewelry, food, scented candles, soaps and body care, clothes and scarves, local products and a lot of other things.
â i want to look at the scarves. maybe, i will find another one to add to my collection. â
he nodded. honestly, all your desires were orders. he couldnât say no to your sparkling eyes.
he followed you to the stand run by a lady behind her counter. she was quick to greet you as if you were her first customers of the day.
you grabbed the white scarf before wrapping it around your neck in front of the mirror. the wool was so soft.
you turned around to ask zachâs opinion but he was already looking at you. all his attention was fixed on you.
âit looks very pretty on you. you should pick that one. â
you didn't need to look in the mirror again because his gaze was terribly convincing.
White was certainly an ordinary color but with the tone of your skin, it was the ideal layering. the glow of your features was what made this scarf look so good, and what made you so attractive. Zach was literally watching you with stars in his eyes, trying so hard to not exposing his feelings but you were just so pretty with that accessory and your smile was literally taking his breath away. â very pretty â he whispered before towering with his height, using his hands to adjust the scarf around your neck.
His touch was so gentle, cold because of the snow that fell from the sky and gave your bones little shivers. You slowly met his gaze as his face was across yours, his fingers still wrapped around the fabric of the accessory.
Your mouth was agape, filled with tiny breathing that was tickling the space between you and him. You felt every snowflakes on your hair, your face getting colder with time.
When he took a step back, you looked away quickly.
â i'm gonna take it then ! â
â you should. â
when you were about to take out your wallet, he had already taken out his card to pay.
âYouâre lucky to have a boyfriend like that. â the lady commented.
â he's nâŠâ for some reason you didnât continue your sentence.
you had just continued on your way to turn towards a food stand.
"you shouldn't have paid. I'll reimburse you..."
âI know but I wanted to do it. â
"ok, then let me buy you something in return. why not a smoothie? athletes like that, right? it's fruity, it has vitamins. it's nutritious. let me find the perfect taste for you. â
zach was lucky that you couldn't read his thoughts because he was gonna explode. hearing you talking about his health like that, turning yourself into a little nutritionist was something irreal for him. you were like a dream.
you were smart, gentle, soft and calm. you didn't need anything more to make him under your spell. just the way you were was enough. he was not the type to be difficult in regards to love, he could fall in love so easily with anyone. but the way you were, all the beauty that came from your brain, your physic, your gesture, your mind.
â think you can do that without knowing every single thing about me ? â
â i know that you play soccer. â
â and ? â
â yea, you're kinda right. we don't know each other. but this is why we are here together in that marketplace. you're gonna talk to me about your life, the things you love, that make you happy and i will just be here, listening to you and realize that you're in fact a sweet boy. â
â only sweet ? i'm sure i'm more than sweet. â
you ordered a smoothie and gave it to him, waiting to know what his thoughts on the state. he catched the straw with his mouth, and started to drink a little of the juice.
â pretty good. â
â i'm glad. there are strawberries, bananas and spinach in it. i know it's the end of the day, but when you start your morning, it's a good and rich combo. â
â do you want to taste it ? â
â can i ? â
â you're lucky. i'm happy to share. â
â oh zach, you're too good. â
â i can ask for another strâŠâ
â it's okay. â
he handed you the juice, and at the moment, you didn't care about the way your lips literally shared around the straw. you were just focused on how good your taste was. it was delicious.
you and zach continued to walk under the snow.
you shouldn't do it but unconsciously you noticed the little attention of the athlete. like the way he held you closer to prevent you from bump into people, the way he delicately readjusted your scarf so it wouldn't fall off, the way he slowed down when he felt like he was walking too fast for you, the way he went where your gaze went, looking at you so often to make sure that you were okay.
he was also a very attentive person. he loved hearing you talk, as he enjoyed listening to you. you were so interesting that he felt terribly boring next to you. you always had something to say, anecdotes, facts, stories. you could convince him to open a book more often with your words.
you had a way of being simply attractive.
when it started to get late, he walked you home. you talked about absolutely everything about cinema, music, sports, activities. you had never had so much fun. and it felt good.
you had even listened to music on the way home. you shared a pair of headphones that connected to your phone while remaining next to each other.
you had arrived at the door of your house, and a long minute had passed.
âthanks for today, zach. I donât think Iâve ever had such a great day in my entire life.â
âthen we should do this again. i mean if you're okay. â
"Would you invite me again? It would be a pleasure. We could go to the cinema, or to.."
âwhatever you want. i just like to be with you honestly. â
you smiled. and his lightened gaze already catched your smile, while you wisely kept your hands in your pockets.
â Oh, I almost forget.â you replied, giving him back the jacket he had lent you earlier. â this is yours. â
âyou can keep it.â
âI canât accept it.â
âAnd I canât get it back either.â
âzach!â
"I'm serious. I'd rather see it on you than on meâŠâ
he moved closer, leaning just above you. you had started to feel chills throughout your body, like squirming in your stomach. the proximity was so close that you were frozen. when you thought he was going to kiss you because he was leaning over your face, staring at you with light in his eyes, he simply blew on the tip of your nose. you shivered before feeling a slight rush of moisture on your face. a snowflake.
for some reason, you were kinda disappointed.
his mouth was so close to yours that you kinda expected it, his features were over yours, his lips were so close that you could feel his warm breathing against yours, and his nose was literally brushing your skin. the way it was so cold outside but every time he stood near you, the temperature rose again. it felt like he was enough to warm you up.
you didn't realize that you closed your eyes because of the sudden magic you felt inside your tummy. it was so strange. when you fixed your gaze on him again, he was two feets away from you and you chuckled softly. â you scared me. â you admitted. â don't do that again. â
â i just protecting you from getting cold again. â
â you're worrying too much about me. don't forget yourself. â
â i can't help it. â
"i-i need to go, okay. thanks you so much for today.â
â text me when you're home. i mean in your room. â
â i'm literally there. â
â i just want to be sure. â
â okay. â
you had been thinking about this day for the past two days. it occupied all your thoughts. you had returned to work, you had become a simple delivery person again.
you made your deliveries and then went home. the routine was the same except for one detail. zach had stopped ordering. now you were friends.
today, you suggested to Zach that you meet at the mall. It was quite cold outside due to the winter wind and snow so it was better to stay warm. you hadn't waited long before seeing him in the middle of the crowd. you were starting to get used to his presence in your life, and it was crazy how much space he could take up so quickly.
âwow, you really came fast.â
âI couldnât keep you waiting. I'm a gentleman. â
âIâm not that special you know.â
âI think you are. â
â I think you should stop saying things that make me want to fall in love with you. â
â Why ? Is it bad ? I'm a good guy. â
â Being too good is suspicious. â
â Fair point. â
â Anyways, does your feets hurt ? I've always ask you for things that make you walk so I feel sorry. â
â Don't worry, it's starting to get better. â in fact, Zach was really surprised that you care about it. you cared about him more than he thought.
â Really ? I'm glad. â
you had followed the athlete to the video game store, a place that was extremely foreign to you but it was perfect. you wanted to know so much more about his world because since you knew him, you had the impression of only talking about yourself, of being the only one to open up.
âI bet youâre lost.â He scoffed, watching you glance around. â You look like a puppy. â
"I'm getting acquainted with your world. Be nice, will you?"
âI should teach you how to play.â
â Oh yeah, teach me how to kick your ass. â
" So this is your only motivation. â he laughed, taking place next to you.
â you know, i already play some games. not your type of game butâŠâ
â which one ? â
â just dance. â you replied proudly. â and i'm pretty good at it so don't even start to mock me. . â
â i believe you. but you know, you need to show me those dance skills one day. â
â don't say it twice. out of subject, why are we here ? you want to buy something ? â
â yea for my little sister. she loves to play video games like me, and it's Christmas soon so I want to buy her a new game. â
â oh so you're a big brother ? that's why you're so good with girls. â
â i thought i already told you. â
â no, because i would remember it. what's her name ? â
â avery. i think you would like her. â
â i would like to meet her. â
you kept talking while seeking a present for his little sister. when you find a game, he buyed it before the two of you walk to the bookstore. it was his time to get lost, and your time to shine.
â so, this is your heaven ? â he asked, still staring at you.
â isn't it the most pretty place in the world ? i would buy everything here if i was rich but unfortunately i'm forced to choose only a few books. â
â you can read online. â Zach suggested.
â i know but this is not the same. i want to feel the paper. and i need to have the book in my room, to add it to my collection. â
â so you want to be an author later or something like that ? â
â oh no, reading is just a hobby. i learn a lot by reading. i can't believe you don't like it, or maybe you just didn't find the perfect book. let me find you one. â
â you really took that seriously. â
â this is why you shouldn't joke with me. so now, you're forced to read. â
The Bluest Eye By Toni Morrison.
â I've read this one when i was younger and it's beautiful. I think it's one of my favorites ever written. â
â I'm sure you've got great tastes. â
one day, the grandmother who was your boss stopped you while you were going on deliveries.
âare you okay?â
âyes. why?â
âyou know that guy you were talking about last time. he doesnât order from us anymore. is he sick?â
" oh so that's it. don't worry. he just got what he wanted. " you replied with a wink.
A month had passed, and his feet were already feeling much better. he was going to return to university, and especially soccer.
zach mclaren : i've finished the book
you : how do you feel ?
zach McLaren : miserable
zach McLaren : but it was worth it
you : i felt the same the first time
you : but congrats, you read a book !
you : i'm feeling proud
zach mclaren : now, it's my turn
zach McLaren : come over
you : i need to study
zach mclaren : this is why you're texting me right now ?
you : i will be there in few minutes
you left your house after a quick shower to spend the rest of the day with him.
before returning to classes, he invited you to his house.
It was crazy knowing this building by heart even though you didn't live there.
he opened the door for you and you couldnât help but joke. â shit, you're dressed this time. â
â and i still make you look. â
â one point for yot. i've got the food. my bosses are generous and wanted to make the food for tonight. â
â i'm starting to be the favorite. â
â in your dreams. â
you entered the apartment.
it was big enough for a student. you wondered how rich he was sometimes. you had started setting the table with all the chinese food, and he had brought the drinks. he had even prepared cakes for dessert.
you decided to watch a movie.
âwhat do you want to watch? â he asked.
â the princess and the frog. i'm in the mood to lurk at Prince Naveen. Isn't he the best prince ? â
â I thought i was. â
â So, i'm your Tiana. â you joked. â You would love me if I turned into a frog, Zach McLaren ? â
â Yea. And you will still be the best and the most beautiful person i've ever known. â
â I can't believe a man like you is single. â
â I can't believe you're single too. You're pretty, you're smart, you're talenâŠâ
â continue and i will think that you're in love with me. â
â does it matter ? â
you looked at him, turning your gaze in his eyes.
maybe it was obvious from the start. all these commands, the way he looked at you, the way he absolutely wanted to spend time with you, the way he was constantly trying to talk to you. it wasn't just friendship, this affection was stronger, more intense. he wanted more than to be your friend.
what was less so for you was when all these attentions began to charm you. when was the moment, he made a house inside your mind and made you think of him so often.
â Zach. â
â You're important to me. I love everything about you. I thought i was good by staying your friend but i want more with you. â
â It's so funnyâŠI was just that delivery girl who came to your place and now, we're just here togetherâŠi mean, i'm just surprisedâŠi'm just surprised because your words make me feel so attractive and important. i Always thought that i would end up alone and you just came into my life, made it brighter and now you're confessing your feelings about how you love me just because i was myself. â
you were too sensitive, and zach took your hand in his, gently stroking your skin with his thumb, before you lost your gaze in the blue fierce of his eyes. â hey, hey. look at meâŠâ
â when you seek love all your life and you suddenly feel loved, it's just so warm. you make everything so much better⊠â
your words were shutted by his mouth, his lips moved into yours crushing them in a passionate kiss, as he pulled you closer with his hand on your cheek. you were exploding, making yourself a way on his lips, letting his free hand slowly down your body to catch your hips. he stroked them softly, his fingers dancing under the fabric of your t-shirt. you were on top of him, controlling the kiss with your tongue, and biting his lower lips with your teeths. you were pleased by the sounds of his moans under your breath. he was deliciously hot, and you shushed him with your fingers against the wet stream of his lips, forcing him to keep his mouth shut.
â maybe, it's better to do it slowly because we are just confessing our feelings to each other. we shouldn't burn any step. it's okay for you ?â
â i think you're right. it's better if we're taking time to make things right. â
â sounds like we're understanding each other well. â
â i really want to take my time with you, and we're not in a hurry. â
â i appreciate you for this. you're my first boyfriend you know and what i mean by that is that i'mâŠvery happy that's you. i don't care that i'm not your first girlfriend because I feel really loved and it's all that matters. â

a prompt for every week of the year
awhile ago, i created my own writing prompts along the lines of an old livejournal writing community called 52 flavours, whose prompts were always beautiful and abstract and poetic and evocative. these types of prompts have sort of become lost to fandom in favor of more straightforward and simplistic ones (which never inspire me much, personally) so as i start to post fics i'm writing to these prompts, i figured i might as well post the actual prompt list for anyone to use!
the distant glitter of the January sun
back then, everything was music
at the violet hour
the world begins at the kitchen table
it felt just like February; what had been falling snow was beating loudly in the street
Listen. Even the ocean begs.
still without sound
unsure of where to settle down for the night
March is a month of storms and lust
weâve been alive just long enough
I wrote âvalleyâ when I meant âlongingâ
you saw me one Friday afternoon and decided you should love me
I know I have been dreaming
April is the cruelest month
all this fucking with no hands on me
Iâd write about you a lot more than I should
to put on your best outfit and feel like youâre dressing a wound
to be held by something reluctant to let go
Late in May as the light lengthens
I worry that love is violence
Iâve been trying to go home my whole lifeâ
you can put your strength down
I wasnât fooled. I knew you at once.
It is June. Letâs hope someone is kind, just in time
bend in a thousand directions
your smell was never unfamiliar
even hunger can become a space to live in
a kind of undressing
the July night is a song
you, you, and only you
they cannot exist without setting each other on fire
in your hand, its shaky penmanship, my own paper-thin nerves
staying up all night for it
the August sun, returning everything that was taken awayâ
and maybe love still smolders in my heart
the reverse of being haunted
I want I want I want
a day of rain; the kind you think will never end
September tastes of ashesÂ
the museum of past lives
maybe a meteor or maybe a phone call or maybe a sudden shift in atmosphere
an old, old wound about to heal or about to bleed
the ache of everything unsaid
October is a thick and hollow bone
the difference between intimacy and radical intimacy
I caught you forgetting me
the wish for winter
Will you forgive me these November days?
amazing how long a ruined thing will burn
Look, you said, sunlight.
All my stories are about being left; all of yours are about leaving. We should have known.
It is December and we must be brave.

đđźđŒđŹđ»đČđčđœđČđžđ·: As the snow began to fall, you and Soshiro found yourselves with a very rare day all to yourselves. And what better way to keep warm than to wrap himself in your warmth?
đđ±đȘđ»đȘđŹđœđźđ»: Soshiro Hoshina (Kaiju No. 8)
đŠđžđ»đ đđžđŸđ·đœ: 1.6k
đđžđ·đœđȘđČđ·đŒ: Soshiro Hoshina x Fem!Reader. (SMUT). đŹđ: Praise, dry humping, penetrative sex, marking, use of pet names, riding. Not too many by my standards we're feelin' soft in this bitch today.
đđŸđœđ±đžđ»âđŒ đđžđœđ: Hiatus or not there was no way I could miss my bambino's bday. à«źê°àŸàœČâ©ÂŽ á” `â©ê±àŸàœČá And what better way to be back in action than with a little something for my favorite vice-captain. I'm enjoying and not enjoying the cold weather, so here's a little self-indulgent fic for Hoshina's birthday. I hope you enjoy!
It wasnât often that both you and Hoshina had a day off, even less so when those days aligned. But it seemed even Kaiju had an aversion to the snow. You were surprised the way it was coming down, only late November but you wouldnât complain, not today. Not that it meant being able to spend today with your vice-captain all to yourself. Most of the third division was out enjoying the first snowfall of the season. While others, like you and Soshiro, were tucked inside in an attempt to stay warm. Most of your morning had been spent between the covers, enjoying each otherâs presence in a rare event of privacy.
You both weren't necessarily afforded the luxury of being open with your relationship, despite most of the division knowing the nature of said relationship, it was frowned upon to engage in such with another member of the defense force. So all displays of affection needed to be done in private, and with the hectic nature of your profession, those were few and far between. Usually, they were only able to sneak kisses in his office and hold each other under the cover of night after sneaking into his room. So on days like these you both were hard pressed to remove yourselves from each other.
âSo fucking beautiful, baby.â
Hoshinaâs words are spoken into your mouth, breathing them in like the air you attempt to fill your lungs with as his mouth devours your own. Large hands grip the fabric of his jacket, wrapped around your frame the source of warmth you claimed along with the heat emanating from his body. Your nails scrape against the short hairs that lay at the nape of his neck. Your hips moving on their own accord as you straddle his lap, feeling the effects that your actions had on his body, swallowing the low groan that makes itâs way up his throat as you rub against him. He feels you tremble under his fingertips as you use his clothed cock to pleasure yourself.
Hoshina liked to take his time, to explore every inch of your body as he watched your face contort In pleasure under his ministrations. However, it had been far too long since he felt you against him last. The recent influx of daikaiju keeping you both so busy that you both had just enough time for some stolen kisses before sleep claimed you at night. His desire was consuming him, feeling like a teenager as you ground against him, unwilling to risk spilling into fabric rather than your warm depths. And truth be told, if the growing dampness of his pants was anything to go by, you were more than ready to be consumed by him.
âFuck, baby, need to feel you. Canât wait anymore, I need to be inside of you.â
Desperate need permeated through his tone, hands sliding up your thighs, too bothered to remove your panties in their entirety as he pulled them to the side, deft fingers swiping through your folds to test your arousal. Groaning as he felt how drenched your cunt was, your juices coating his fingers with one swipe. Maintaining eye contact as he pulls his fingers from you, sliding them past his lips, desperate for a taste of you. His eyes slip shut, another groan bubbling up from his throat from the mere taste of you.
âSweeter than honey, babygirl.â
He purrs, grin slipping onto his features as you duck your head into the crook of his neck, face growing warm from his words. It never ceased to amaze him how he managed to get you to react in this way, the same person who never shied away in the face of danger, now a trembling mess with your face buried in his neck. You were so strong, so fearless, and he would never take for granted the face you felt this safe with him. That this was a side of you only ever reserved for him. It made his heart grow warm and his desire for you only grow stronger. He made swift moves, sliding his sweats down his thighs, allowing his cock to spring free from the confines of his boxers. He wasted no time, gripping the base of his cock as he aligned it with your dripping entrance. His other hand coming to rest against the small of your back, to secure you, your hands gripping his shoulders as you began to sink down on him. The both of you breathed out as his tip slid past your opening, breaths mingling together in the small space between your parted hips.
Hoshina found it hard to believe you were ever more beautiful than in this moment, the way your eyes wrenched themselves shut, the tears pooling despite this, collecting on your lashes like crystals. The way you took a sharp intake of breath as your walls accommodated him. It took all of his self control not to lurch his hips upward, allowing instead for you to move at your own pace as you sunk further down the length of his cock. Inch my agonizing inch, your velveteen walls suffocating his girth, loving the way he could feel them molding to his shape as you consumed him.
âFuck, kitten,. Thatâs my girl..taking me so well, shit.â
His words gritted through his teeth as he was consumed by the pleasure of your warmth, one hand curled around the back of your neck, the other moving to grip the plush of your ass as you sunk down the rest of his length. Breathing out as he finally was felt all the way inside of you, allowing you time to adjust to his length. Moving to cup your cheek, thumb swiping against the soft skin.
âLook at me baby, want to see the look in your eyes as I fuck the thoughts out of that pretty little head, yeah?â
His voice is soft despite the filth that spills from his lips, crimson eyes locking with your own, looking deep into them as he begins to move your hips. Matching his movement, you begin to pull upward, leaving only the head of his cock inside before dropping back down to the base. The drag of his cock against your walls has you breaking eye contact, beginning to bounce on his cock. Drowning in pleasure from the start, setting a steady pace as you rise and fall on the length of him. He can't say heâd complain in you looking away, not when you exposed your neck to his hungry mouth. His lips attach themselves to the skin almost instantly. Lips, tongue, and teeth claiming the sensitive skin that laid there. Determined to replace the long faded marks that once decorated your flesh. If there was one thing that drove you insane about Hoshina it was those damn teeth, the sharp canines scraping against your flesh in a way that makes your mind fuzzy.
Fingers gripping his hair, using that and the way your nails dig into his shoulder to ground yourself as you ride his cock. Hips rocking as you bounce up and down on his length. A jumbled babble of his name, pleas, and curses falling from your lips as you lose yourself to the pleasure. Knowing your grip would result in tracks against his skin for days, but neither of you seemed to care too ensnared in the pleasure you were bringing each other. He felt you thighs begin to tremble a tell tale sign that you were coming up on your orgasm. And for once he wasnât too far behind, feeling the way the coil tightened in his stomach.
âShit baby, you close? Yeah? You gonna cum for your vice-captain? Go on, kitten, come for me.â
His words are desperate, heels sinking into the plush mattress as he fucks up into your cunt. Both hands gripping your hips as he forces you down on him, aiding your movements to send you both over the edge. He can't even be bothered to be concerned at the rising volume of your voice as you are thrown over the edge, thighs shaking violently and walls spasming around him. Sinking your teeth into the skin of his shoulder to muffle your cries. The mixture of pain and pleasure was the last nail in the coffin, Hoshinaâs hips stuttering as he fell over the edge of ecstasy, pumping rope after rope inside your waiting cunt. The both of you caching your breaths, feeling the mixture of your wetness combined with his seed dipping past where you both met. He sighed, nose nudging the side of your face, breath fanning the side of your ear as he spoke.
âFeel so good, just wanna stay like this a little longerâ
He all but begs, getting a barely there nod of your head as he lays back against the mattress. Still buried deep within your cunt, holding you against him as he breathed in your scent. Enveloped in you as exhaustion finally began to creep up on him after so long of not having been able to do this with you. Just as his eyes began to slip shut did your voice cut though the fog of tiredness.
âOh, I almost forgot.â
Your voice comes out barely above a whisper, grogginess creeping into the corners of your vision, placing a sweet kiss against his lips, murmuring into his skin.
âHappy Birthday, Soshiro.â
He almost laughed, with everything going on he had forgotten the day himself. As mile etched its way onto his features as he returned the kiss you had given. Grateful that the weather had been the way it was, because he couldnât imagine a better way to enter another year of his life than with you here with him. He just hoped heâd never s[end another birthday without you by his side, or on his cock.

Thinking about Disney and how we talk about Cultural Representation
(concept art by Scott Watanabe)
Old essay originally written on Cohost in November 2023. With additions.
With all the promo stuff about Disney's upcoming animated film Wish, I can't help but think about Raya and the Last Dragon again. I spent a year intensively researching things about that movie and the discourse surrounding it for a series of videos on Xiran Jay Zhao's channel, and oh boy did that reveal a lot about the current way we talk about cultural representation in casual media criticism.
Lately we've grown a habit of looking at signifiers to culture, things like a cultural dish, a nod to a martial arts style, a piece of clothing, maybe a hairstyle, a weapon and so on, and then projecting a bunch of intentions onto the work regardless of authorial intent. I witnessed this a bunch of times in discussions surrounding Raya and the Last Dragon.
You basically get a bunch of 4d chess-style justifications for the lazy implementation of culture in Raya.
random examples cuz there's too many to name:
The movie will do something like make the leaders of the villain nation women, and people immediately assumed it was some kind of bespoke reference to Minangkabau matriarchical society.
the art book of Raya specifically stated that they purposely misplaced things as a stylistic fantasy choice "we could take something that is known and place it in an unexpected location, like coral in the desert and cacti in the snow". But when people saw a water buffalo placed in the desert they assumed it was some super clever environmental story decision.
The movie will tell you it includes things like Borobudur, Angkor wat, Keris, and most people will take their word for it without hesitation. Never mind that Southeast Asians could barely recognize these nods to our culture through how amalgamated the designs are.
(early concept art by Scott Watanabe)
Moving forward, I think we need to talk less about "what" parts of a culture are being represented in these movies, and more about HOW they're being included, we need to ask:
What is this piece of media's relationship with the cultures it represents?
Because Raya and the Last Dragon is not a cultural movie, it's a monolith film pitched and written by white people and a Mexican director with 2 SEA writers added later in production to avoid backlash. Culture serves the purpose of aesthetic set dressing in the film, as opposed to something that informs its themes and characters.
it wasn't even initially pitched as a Southeast Asian movie. The white writers who pitched it were going for a vague East Asian sci fi fantasy story under the working title "Dragon Empire". Southeast Asian culture was an aesthetic change added much later.
This is what happens when a corporation tries to put representational value on a shallow aesthetic. Because of the way Disney constantly marketed Raya as this big authentic cultural film, it primes its audience to read cultural intention in the most benign details. And when we get lost in the details, we lose sight of the bigger picture.
Contextualizing Cultural media criticism
(visual development art by April Liu)
We need to start demanding more context in our analysis. The next time we see a reference to culture in media we consume, take a step back and ask what purpose it serves in the narrative. And most importantly!! What Is Its Relationship With The Culture It Represents? We shouldn't just accept things at face value.
start asking yourself,
through what lens is this cultural dish and its spicy flavors being presented to us? Are the customs surrounding the food being respected?
If martial arts or dance is represented, how is it translated in the adaptation? Are you getting generic hollywood-fu or are you seeing specific movements with purpose and motivation? Are the philosophies or spiritual contexts of these traditions present in the text?
Are the clothing, hairstyles, and presentation of the characters being de-yassified through a colonial filter? Is the non-conformity of the cultures' different framework for gender presentation being adjusted to fit a more recognizable binary?
If language is present, what role does it serve? Is it presented as other through being exclusively used by villainous beings? Is it being made a monolith as one "non-English" language?
is this temple actually a place of worship or is it just a set piece for a goddang Indiana jones booby trap action fight sequence
This way, instead of unquestionably defending a piece of media because a character wore a traditional outfit one time, or because some characters took their shoes off at a temple, or because there were Arnis sticks in that one fight scene, we can approach the text with a more nuanced and holistic understanding of how culture informs narrative.
To quote Haunani K. Trask (author of From A Native Daughter):
âCultural people have to become political⊠Our culture canât just be ornamental and recreational. Thatâs what Waikiki is. Our culture has to be the core of our resistance. The core of our anger. The core of our mana. Thatâs what culture is for.â
#ramblings#media criticism#jesncin cohost essay repost#working on the raya videos was so informative for how I approach cultural media criticism#like it really made me question what exactly I wanted from cultural representation

[written chapter]
serim was not good at coping with the cold. she liked the winter, she had always done, since she was little she spent most of the year looking forward to the low temperatures and, with it, the snow, but still, she was not good at coping with that time of the year. she always got sick and she used to care little about it, but since she became a trainee and later a singer she had to start taking care of her health and vocal cords, so in the most recent years of her life she hardly ever left her house during those times, unless she went to the many activities an idol has to do during the holidays or one of her friends insisted so much that she could not say no.
on that day serim's house was extremely warm, because even though she was not working, she was used to doing everything possible to avoid illness, and she was not willing to surrender to the freezing weather in seoul. she felt sorry for her plants, many were not the kind that could stand being in such a warm environment, but it was a force greater than herself.
having an altered perception of climate, she did not even think about the wind and the coolness that would hit her when she opened the balcony door, causing her to jump back inside and quickly close the sliding glass. she was extremely excited, running around the house and talking to her hedgehog who was pacing the living room floor uncomprehending and probably sweating from how high the thermostat was set. she went with speed to her room and threw on whatever winter clothes she could find, then hurried back and tried again to get outside.
still shivering a little, she leaned her forearms against the railing of her balcony and leaned against it, watching the first snow fall in seoul.
she loved winter, and even though it was still a month away, she loved the feeling of christmas approaching. the first snowfall had always been one of those important events for her. one of those that when it's about to happen you can't shake the anxiety, or the sensation that something important is in the air. it tends to fall in late november and serim during those dates was always on the lookout for any sign of what day it would be. she loved it, and as soon as she saw it happening just outside her house, she couldn't contain her joy, standing there motionless watching the snowflakes fall for a long while.
she had nothing better to do, after all, the hiatus was killing her. her friends were fully occupied, her members were in the activities she would want to be in and her family was far away in daegu. she couldn't help that those would be lonely and boring holidays, but at least she had time to appreciate nice things like this one.
or so she would once she opened the door to whoever claimed to see her in the middle of a snowfall.
serim sighed, she hated it when she was interrupted in her few moments when she could enjoy things that excited her. she walked back into her apartment and made her way to open the door.
the doorbell had rung, not the telecommunicator, so she figured it might be one of her bandmates, her manager, or a friend. since she didn't have to work or keep a schedule, she wasn't fully aware of what day it was, so she wasn't aware of what her acquaintances might be doing at the moment or who was free.
what she didn't expect was to find jimin behind the door.
it had been a couple of months since she had seen her in person, although they texted sometimes, maybe since september they hadn't been in one another's presence. she was always busy, she had gone on tour and back, only to embark on a new comeback and promotions season. awards season had started as well and she, as the big star of the year, had to be at every event that happened. while serim had been a little more docile with her, open to the idea of doing some things together if the occasion arose, jimin just hadn't had the time, she wanted to take serim on dates, on trips, be together at her house, go for walks, help her with whatever she needed, but she was overworked and couldn't afford it.
except for that day, one of the few days off she'd had in a while.
jimin had been looking forward to it because she had already planned to go visit serim, even if she threw a tantrum when she saw her, she wanted to at least hug her after those two months without having her around, without feeling her scent nor holding her hands. she hadn't told her she was going because she didn't want to be rejected before she could be in front of the woman, which risked a fit of possible anger from the older girl, but jimin missed her so much that she didn't think anything through.
she just needed a plan, something to do together if serim didn't kick her out of her house, and the snow had come as if it heard her pleading. as soon as she looked out her window and noticed the first flakes, she got ready at the speed of light and frantically went out to find a cab. and now she was in the hallway of serim's apartment, covered in snow, her arms stretched in the air in excitement and wearing a silly grin because of the oldest.
she looked so adorable in that stupid giant blue scarf and her glasses that serim had to resist the urge to throw herself at her, limbs almost lifting on their own, stifling a smile using all the strength in her body.
serim had missed jimin too, of course she had, and she hated herself for it.
"what are you doing here?" the owner of the apartment asked not even greeting her.
"why do you have hello kitty pants on?" she ignored, not wanting to deal with her bitterness, and pointed to the pink garment with drawings of the character.
"because i'm at home." she said obviously.
"it's a choice." she cocked her head to the side without stopping to look at them.
"are you going to tell me what you're doing in my house while it's snowing?" she folded her arms and furrowed her eyebrows.
"that!" she jumped on the spot with glee. "i came looking for you so we could go see the first snow of the year together!" she announced in a jovial tone.
"and why would i want to see the first snow with you?" she was dying to go with her.
"because you love me." she replied simply. "and even my company is better than watching it from your balcony alone." she obtruded.
"how do you know i was watching it from the balcony?" she exclaimed in surprise.
"you're covered in coats when inside your house it's amazonian temperatures and you have snow melting on your arms." she pointed to the detail.
serim raised her arms suddenly placing them in front of her eyes to look at the clues of her actions in these startled, with her mouth slightly open, confirming that she had given herself away. she dropped them on both sides of her body dejectedly and gave the girl a sideways glance, contemplating her proposal, to end up turning around without a word and heading to her bedroom.
"where are you going?" confused, the younger girl raised her voice as she watched her walk away.
maybe serim was feeling very lonely during the hiatus, or maybe she needed jimin more than she liked to admit.
"i can't leave my house in hello kitty pants." she replied disinterestedly, causing the happy grimace on karina's face to widen.
in an extremely awkward silence they made their way to the small park in the gated community where serim resided. they had so many things they wanted to say to each other, but communication had never been their best quality as a duo. serim wanted to know how she had been during that time, if she was tired, and how her busy schedule was treating her, or ask why she couldn't get her out of her mind even when they hadn't seen each other for so long. jimin, on her side, wanted to generate any kind of conversation, it was enough for her to know that serim was enjoying her company. but neither of them dared to let that happen, whether it was out of spite or fear.
but jimin hadn't gone to see her in such particular weather after so many days of not having her around just to be silent, though if that's the way it should be, at least she was happy to have her at arm's length. she took a breath and with the hand that gravitated around serim's she reached for hers, intertwining their fingers once their palms came into contact. pathetically, she found herself closing her eyes for a second, bracing herself for the terrible reaction expected from the woman, but she received none, the girl left her hand there with hers, and jimin turned to check, disoriented, only to find her admiring the falling snow so fascinated that she hadn't remembered she had to hate karina full time.
she smiled to herself as she closed the distance between them, making their bodies rub against each other, securing her grip on her.
she was walking hand in hand with serim, when was the last time that had happened? her heart was beating at such a rapid rate as her senses were lost in the warmth and perfume of the woman that it felt like a drill.
when they arrived at the park it was almost empty. it was not a place where there were never many people as it was in a neighborhood of rich people who didn't have time or desire to walk around the area, and fewer people there were going to be with such weather. they walked calmly to the center in a void of words that was no longer as uncomfortable as a few blocks ago, stopping near the structure that crowned the place to appreciate how the snow fell on it and its surroundings.
"do you like snow?" inquired karina once they found a position where they could appreciate the spectacle and stood there.
"yes i like it, winter it's my favorite season." she gave her a look for the first time all the way there. "even though my immune system is a mess, i always get sick." she let out a sheepish chuckle.
"winter is my favorite season too." she settled in by tying her body to jang's arm. "and that's because you don't eat well!" she complained. "but don't worry, if you get sick i'll take care of you." she arranged a few strands of hair falling over the older girl's face.
"i do eat well only you don't see it." she smiled sideways.
"don't try lying to me." she shot her a look of suspicion, making her laugh.
jimin couldn't hide the satisfaction that this had brought her, feeling that serim didn't hate her for a second, she felt fulfilled. they held each other for a moment there watching the scenery, being as close as they rarely were outside of serim's room, swaying quietly as if they weren't two hurricanes trying to fit together. karina released her grip on her to put herself opposite to her and take the vocalist's face in her hands, leaning her body forward to leave a soft kiss on her cheek. serim wasn't expecting it and the surprise left her serious, speechless, she averted her gaze to the side, pressing her lips into a line, but a slight blush was exposed on her cheeks that she hoped jimin would believe was just from the cold.
"namu." she called to her in a low tone, so that only she would hear. "i have to tell you something."
"what is it?" she turned her eyes to her, face expressionless.
"i..." she took a long breath through her nose, trying to calm the uneasiness in her stomach from nerves. "i want you." she blurted out, pulling her shoulders back a little, puffing out her chest showing confidence. "and i want to spend this christmas with you."
"this christmas you're going to be working." she rebutted with discomfiture. "just like me, i hope." she spoke to the sky as if asking god.
"no, namu." she was already beginning to feel the anxiety of not being able to emit what she felt the right way and was giving her first uneasy hands through the air. "i mean i want to spend this christmas with you and many more." she clarified. "i want you to be my present." she rested her index finger on the girl's chest, pointing at her. "i want to kiss you and have you be the first person i greet." she held up the opening of the girl's coat. "i want to be with you."
serim was having difficulty maintaining eye contact, and even more difficulty finding something to reply to a statement that made her uneasy. "what do you mean by that?"
"i'm confessing." she admitted simply. "that's what you're supposed to do in the first snow."
"a confession is for someone who doesn't know how you feel." sadness returned to her demeanor as it always did when she was around jimin. "i think you've already told me everything you have going on with me."
"really?" her voice rose slightly, getting a little desperate. "do you really think you know everything i feel about you?" she questioned. "do you know that i can't stop thinking about you? that every action i take i think about what your reaction would be?" her breathing was slowly failing. "i have a hard time sleeping at night because i wish you were by my side." she rubbed her face with her palms trying to get rid of the frustration.
"jimin, the problem is that i don't believe you." she interrupted her weakly, her eyes on the floor.
"and what do you need me to do to prove to you that it's true?" her movements were wide and fast because of distress. "to make you understand that i despise myself almost as much as you do for hurting you." she believed her eyes were glazing over, but she didn't have the composure to concentrate on anything at the moment. "i was wrong, serim, i tried to pretend that nothing changed in my life the moment we got the deal, that you didn't shake my floor from the first moment." she was thankful that they are practically alone in the park because she was embarrassing herself. "i tried to do what i thought was best for me and i was wrong, i'm sorry, i'm so sorry." she swallowed hard trying to undo the lump in her throat. "i understand that i hurted you, that i was an idiot, but i want you." she assured. "i need you." she added. "and i don't know how to make you see that."
"do you love me?" she finally dared to face her.
"serim." she diverted her attention to something off to the side, blocking herself completely.
"serim, what?" she bit down hard. "that's what i need." she confirmed. "if you can tell me to my face that you love me, then i'm willing to take the time to work out everything bad that happened between us." she asked. "if you tell me that you love me, i'll leave it in the past."
"i adore you with all my heart." she closed her eyes as if that could make that moment less real.
"but it's not enough."
"no, it's not that." she held her arms so she wouldn't pull away. "it's complicated." tears began to stain her cheeks. "i care for you so much..."
"why is it so hard for you to say you love me?" there was disappointment in her eyes. "don't you feel it?"
"it's not that i don't feel it..."
"then what is it?" she became defensive.
"it's complicated." she reiterated. "it's difficult." she said in a defeated attitude. "this all happened under peculiar circumstances and-"
"then it's difficult for me to forgive you." she cut her off.
serim raised her hands to remove the hold the younger girl had on her and started walking with speed back to her house. jimin watched her walk away, but wouldn't let her go, she ran out after her, catching her, making them face each other. she lifted serim's hand, bringing it to her lips to give it a short kiss while their eyes were connected, thus then grabbing her waist and pulling her close enough that she could rest her forehead against hers just by folding her body a little forward.
"make a wish." she murmured.
"can you leave me alone?"
"if you say it out loud it doesn't come true." she shook her head.
serim dropped her eyelids, a little because she no longer had the strength to argue or resist the questionable things jimin did, and a little because she wanted to stop the approaching crying, karina copied the actions when she saw her do it. after a moment they both, still with their heads against each other, looked at each other again, ruefully and wearily.
"you won't tell me what it is this time?" the blackhaired inquired.
"you said it." she whispered. "if i tell you it won't come true."
âthat you can accept that you love me. âthought serim.
"i asked for you to let me go make cookies at your house."
"i can't believe it." she broke off suddenly. "are you serious?" she shouted at her upset.
"i know we just fought, but we always fight." she tried to reason, seriousness of the moment all gone. "i haven't seen you in two months, i just want to spend time with you." she pleaded. "get mad at me later, but don't leave now." she added. "please, stop leaving."
serim hated herself for how aware she was that no matter how angry she got with jimin, for whatever reason, she always came back to her. "if you say it out loud it doesn't come true." she reiterated bitterly as she realized how pathetic she was.
"but you miss me too."
"let's go." she commanded, causing the younger girl to cheer. "but no joy." she pointed her finger at her apprehensively. "i'm too upset with you." she reminded. "these are going to be the saddest cookies you'll ever eat in your life."

đ„ (with a side of strawberries) with Jason grace with the song call it what you want
â my castle crumbled overnight
warnings: implied sex pairing: jason grace x daughter of hades
cabin thirteen was naturally cold throughout every season. whether it was summer, spring, winter, autumn or it was raining, snowing, sunny or whatever storm was happening outside. you supposed this was because the underworld was cold with corpses though. however it was late november so winter was right around the corner meaning you would have to add extra blankets to your bed to be able to sleep comfortably. on this particular night your bare skin was veiled in goosebumps, in a frantic rush to catch your breath you pull your double blankets over your freezing skin and nuzzle your face into jasonâs shoulder
your silver âjâ necklace presses between both of your skin. âItâs coldâ you mutter and jason tightens his hold around your waist with a kiss to the top of your head. âstupid freezing cabinâ
âdonât worry, angel. Iâll keep you warmâ
you sigh contently and take in the son of jupiterâs scent. If you died now you surely would be happy with it. which is why you canât help the wide smiling growing on your lips. you suppose jason feels it because he lets out a quiet laugh
âwhy are you smiling?â
you shrug and kiss his shoulder. âjust happyâ
âokay, smileyâ
youâre like a stupid school girl. you want to kick your feet and twirl your hair, giggling over your gorgeous boyfriend. Itâs utterly ridiculous. a pink hue adorns your cheeks in the midst of your lovesick daze
âjase?â
âyeah, angel?â
you purse your lips before responding, âwould you run away with me?â
âof course. why?â
âjust thinking. Iâd like to get out of campâ
âIâd go anywhere you goâ
you let out a soft audible giggle. this is fucking pathetic. the fact that a boy can have this much of an affect over you. but again you recall many times telling him heâs the love of your life (he most definitely reciprocates your feelings. obviously he doesâ but he doesnât think you entirely understand how much he loves you). you feel jason reach away onto your bedside table making you lift your head up from his shoulder to look at him
âwhatâre you doing?â
you watch him put his glasses over his eyes and look down at you with a boyish smirk
âso I can see you betterâ
you place a tender kiss to his lips, once and twice before returning your head in his shoulder
âcanât get enough of me?â he jokes
âshut upâ

đ°đ: language, references to sex, "kys" joke, references to drinking, a little bit angsty
<<< back â± menu â± next >>>
That year, cold weather came earlier than the one before. An icy breeze kissed your cheeks as it pushed along dry November leaves. By the time you were halfway to Rintaroâs, your lungs were stinging and your muscles ached from working in the cold. A couple of weeks before your second year of university started, his creaking car broke down for good, and he couldnât pick you up to hang out like usual. Money that would usually have been spent on frequent upkeep of the shoddy vehicle would be repurposed into paying for rent in a bigger, shared apartment with another friend of his.Â
It was pitch black out, you tried not to freeze as you biked uphill to the brick apartment building a few blocks away from your dorm.Â
âWhere the hell are you going?â Your roommate had asked you upon seeing you wrap yourself in a scarf that youâre sure was somebody elseâs at another point in time, you cleared your throat, a guilty expression, âMath tutor.â You lied, fitting earmuffs over your head. This would be the third time that month youâd left after midnight to see said âmath tutor,â your roommate had stopped believing you and you chose to ignore that.Â
Truthfully, nobody needed to know what you and Suna were up to, though it wasnât wrong. Things always felt better when it was just shared between the both of you.Â
Your breaths came out in soft clouds as you chained up your bike, head perking up at the sound of leaves crunching towards you. âIâm freezing my ass off.â Suna gritted his teeth, hugging his own torso in desperate search of warm reprieve from the cold. You scoffed, eyes rolling, and stood up to slip your earmuffs off.Â
Initially, these late nights were spent talking, pretending to do work, ignoring that nagging feeling that there should be some greater purpose to work towards. Suna let you sprawl out on the bed and he sat on his carpeted floor, penning down illegible answers to a class heâs repeating or furiously typing away at his laptop. Sometimes, itâd end with a nice buzz on Fridays, crushed cans littered across his floor that would be there until you woke up the next morning.Â
Suna was your best friend. You thought of all the best friends youâd had before him, and it was never anything like this. With Suna, nothing was a mystery, you knew him perfectly well and it was scary that he knew you even better. You preferred it like that.Â
It was a blisteringly cold January, you couldnât bike to him because of the snow, but you couldnât sleep without seeing him, either. On weekends, the two of you would walk side by side to his apartment, and you never told him that you felt bad that he had to walk alone to pick you up. You talked to ignore the cold, sometimes you drank to stay warm, and others youâd interlaced fingers and pretended like you didnât notice it happened once you werenât freezing anymore.Â
Sunaâs head was propped against the bed, he stared at the search bar on his laptop, finger hovering over the keys tentatively. You were on your back, head lolled over the edge of the bed as you viewed the world upside down, your head beginning to grow tingly as blood rushed to it.Â
âWhatcha thinkinâ about?â You murmured, eyeing the side of his face.
âHow stupid you look right now.â Suna raised a playful brow, grinning as you sat up with an annoyed groan, âWhat are you really thinking about?â
You knew what he was thinking about. Suna kept getting disappointed. Actually, you both kept getting disappointed. You were beginning to lose track of how many times either of you had gone out with someone who turned out to be, for lack of better terms, an asshole or a bore. Long were the nights that the two of you sat on the roof of his apartment building, declaring that you were done with trying. You were done being disappointed.  Recently, something similar happened to Suna, and you hadnât heard the end of his disappointment yet.
âJust wish Iâd be able to know.âÂ
Youâd talked about this a lot, a metaphorical innate ability to know if someone would really be worth it. Itâd save you a lot of time and heartbreak, that much was for sure.Â
âYâknow,â you started, criss-crossing your legs and slumping over, âsomething like that happened to me the other day,â Suna turned to look at you inquisitively âI was gonna go for this guy who was hitting on me, but my friend told me he made out with his last girlfriendâs sisterâŠthat saved me a lot of time.â You scoffed, still in slight disbelief.Â
Suna huffed out a dry laugh at the situation, but there was something much deeper latent in the olive reflection of his eyes. You could practically see the cogs begin to turn before a lightbulb flashed and a mischievous grin twisted its way onto its face. You knew this look very well. It meant he was about to propose something wildly questionable, and of course, you would agree.
âThatâs actuallyâŠâ Suna turned back to his laptop, finally seizing the keys in a decisive manner.
âI have an idea. I need you to bear with me, okay?â

It was late November and the neighborhood was gearing up for the upcoming winter season. Normally, you would stay home for moments like this, staring at the window as you waited for the snow to fall. However, this time was different because your best friend had other plans. He all but pulled you up from your couch where you were peacefully taking a nap to lead you out of your house. Apparently, for him, this kind of weather was perfect for walking along the beach.
You and Peter have known each other ever since you were children. The moment your family moved into his town, he was the first kid who wanted to be your friend. There was no question why you instantly became best friends. Since then, you have shared everything from secrets to dreams.Â
Always inseparable, rarely without the other.
Always been âjust best friends.â
But a shift has shown itselfâunspoken feelings that simmered beneath the surface that neither of you fully understood or dared to acknowledge. For you, it started in your third year of high school, and since then have lingered every time you were with him. As much as you hoped it would go away at some point, it unfortunately didnât. And it certainly wouldnât go away right now as he walked with you along the coast, your hand in his, intertwined.
The beach was secluded under the cloak of night, where the only light came from the stars scattered across the sky like pocketfuls of glitter. The ocean whispered against the shore, the waves reflecting the moonlight in a soft, silver glow. The air was cool, almost cold, but not unwelcoming, like the gentle feeling of his hand. The atmosphere is filled with indescribable magic, a surreal blend of familiarity and something entirely new. You recognized a spot you used to visit as kidsâa large driftwood log, half-buried in the sandâand nudged Peter to look at it.
âRemember when we used to sit at that spot when we were kids?â you asked.
âHow can I possibly forget? Thatâs where you first told me you wanted to travel the world,â he chuckled. âRemember that spot?â he pointed at the spot to the side of the large driftwood log.
âThatâs where we built that crazy sandcastle,â you giggled, cheeks flushed from the chill in the air. âI swear, we thought we could actually live in it forever.â
Peter laughed, his breath was visible in the night air. âAnd then the tide came in and washed it away. We were probably devastated for like, whatâten minutes?â
âMore like ten seconds,â you replied, eyes sparkling with mischief. You turned to him, a playful grin on your face. âWe just ran back into the water, forgetting all about it.â
He smiled at the memory, squeezing your hand gently. The temperature dropped as you strolled further down the beach, sending a shiver down your spine. Peter noticed and let go of your hand so he could shrug off his jacket and drape it around your shoulders. The warmth of his gesture seeped through, but you didnât miss how he decided not to hold your hand again.
âThanks, Pete,â you said softly. Your heart fluttered in your chest for the kind gesture but you already missed holding his hand. For a second, you were about to reach for his hand but he pulled it away from you to stuff it in his jeans.
In the quiet of the moment, you felt a sudden ache in your chest. You turned to look at him but he was staring straight ahead. He seemed deep in thought and you didnât bother interrupting him. Besides, thoughts of your own began to find their way into your head at the same time.Â
You didnât know what was wrong with you lately. Every time you see him, you feel this⊠weird flutter in your chest. It was like your heart was trying to tell you something, but you couldnât understand it. You have been best friends for so long. He was always there, always the one you could count on, always the one who made you laugh when you were feeling down. But now⊠now it felt different. You couldnât help but notice the little things when he was around. The way his eyes crinkled when he laughed, the way he always knew exactly what to say to make you feel better. And when he wasnât around, youâd find yourself missing him more than you ever did before. But missing your best friend was normal, right?
But then, why did it hurt so much every time you saw him with someone else? Why did it feel like your heart was being squeezed when he talked to other girls? You should be happy for him, you should want him to be happy. But instead, you feel⊠jealous? Was it jealousy? You didnât even know⊠but you hated it. You hated that you felt this way because it didnât make any sense.
Life was emotionally abusive but he was the one guiding light that gave you inspiration to wake up every day. Youâve been through everything together, from heartbreaks to triumphs, and you always leaned on each other for supportâbecause thatâs what best friends did.
Just best friends. It was all you've ever been.
So, why couldnât you stop thinking about what it would be like if⊠if you were more than that? What would it feel like to touch his hair when he sleeps, to look into his eyes that were reminiscent of flying saucers from another planet for hours, to know the feeling of his lips on yours? But then, what if you were wrong? What if this was just some passing thing, and you would ruin everything by saying something? What if he didnât feel the same way? What if you lose him? You couldnât stand that. You couldnât stand losing him. But if you didnât say anything, how would you ever know? How would you ever figure out what these feelings were? Maybe⊠you were just overthinking everything. Maybe this was just a phase that would pass if you just ignored it long enough⊠but what if it wasnât? What if this was something real, something worth risking everything for?
You wished you could figure out what your heart was trying to tell you. Because right now, it felt like it was screaming, and you were too scared to listen.
You just wished you knew what to do.Â
Then, unexpectedly, delicate flakes began to fall from the darkened sky, dancing down like tiny stars coming to rest on the earth. At first, it felt unrealâa gentle winter blanket spreading across the beach, contrasting the warm feeling that was in your chest. Other than the falling snow, the sky above was clear, except for a faint, otherworldly glow on the horizon, it reminded you of the aurora borealis, though neither of you have ever seen it in person.
âItâs snowing,â Peter whispered as he looked up, his eyes wide with wonder. The snow gathered in his tousled hair, and you couldnât help but laugh at his astonishment. You both paused, turning your faces to the sky, letting the soft flakes melt on both of your skin.Â
âSnow on the beach,â he mused.
âI know. Itâs weird⊠but beautiful,â you replied.
Peter looked at you without you noticing, catching a fleeting moment when the moonlight seemed to illuminate your face from within, making your features soft and almost ethereal. He smiled.
âIt is beautifulâŠâ he agreed.Â
You turned your face just to see him staring at you.
For a moment, it felt like time had stopped, everything around the two of you faded into a serene silence. You saw that the same wonder you had was reflected in his eyes. And suddenly, all your doubts were cast aside. There was a vulnerability in his expression that you had never noticed before, a silent question that mirrored your own feelings.Â
Peter reached out, enveloping your hands with his. The touch was electric, sending a shockwave of awareness through both of you. You paused, holding your breath, afraid to move, afraid to speak, as if knowing that this moment might shatter everything between the two of you.
The snow fell heavier and your hearts synchronized with the rhythm of the ocean. You shared a knowing smile, the kind that held a thousand unspoken words as you both realized what was happening.
Peter broke the silence first, his voice quiet but steady. âDo you ever wonderâŠâ he started, the words hanging in the air like the snowflakes drifting down. He hesitated, searching for the right way to express the feelings in his heart. âIf we could⊠be more?â
You felt your heart race at his words, a warmth that was stronger than any chill of the winter night spread through your body. âYeah, I do,â you whispered, nervous yet elated.Â
It was as if, for the first time, you were seeing each other in a new light, one that revealed what has always been there but was hidden beneath layers of friendship. It was beautiful, but also terrifying, like seeing snow on the beachâsomething that you felt shouldn't exist, yet here it was, impossibly real.
âMaybe we could try?â Peter suggested, his voice barely above a whisper.
âIâd like that,â you replied, smiling.
In an instant, everything changed. The world blurred, the periphery fading away until all that existed was the space between you. The stars, the moon, the endless oceanâthey all receded into the background, insignificant compared to the look you shared. At that moment, everything clicked into place. The memories of your secret smiles and late-night conversations flooded back, but now they carried a different weight.Â
âSoâŠâ he started. âBe mine?â
Peter raised a hand to brush a snowflake from your hair and you leaned into his touch with your heart pounding.
âYes,â you answered with no hesitation.
As the snowflakes continued to drift down, you leaned into each other, closing the gap between the two of you. It was a kiss that felt like everything and nothing at the same timeâgentle, hesitant, but full of the promise of what could be. The world around you seemed to hold its breath as if the very stars were watching and waiting to see what would happen next.
When you finally pulled away, the world resumed its quiet motion, but something had definitely shifted. The snow, the beach, the starsâall of it felt different, it was like the universe itself knew and played a part in what just happened and what would happen.
Neither of you spoke, afraid that words might break the spell or jinx everything.Â
And in truth, you didnât need to say anything more. The way you looked at each other, the way your forehead rested against hisâsaid it all.
You continued to walk along the shore hand in hand, the snow crunching softly beneath your feet, leaving a trail that would soon be covered by fresh snow. The future was uncertain, but for now, you were contented in the knowledge that youâd found something beautifulâlike snow on the beach.
