"That explains why you've come here with that apprehensive look on your face," Dan Heng notes, from your pinched expression.

"Sorry," you instinctively school your face---you don't want to come off as too aggressive, because although you DO need answers...you'd prefer them to come without too much conflict and contention, you know? "I'm just...a bit spooked, y'know? I mean, as far as I can tell, no one else has got a folder as detailed as mine."

Dan Heng folds his arms. "That would be because there's simply more information about you out there than there is for any one of us.."

You laugh nervously. "Well, I get March and the Trailblazer---oh, and Mr. Yang, since well...we don't know much about his planet to begin with---but um..." you start fidgeting---realizing that it's a bit awkward to evaluate the informational status of your companions, but um, well, it's also um, not great that there's still so much about you??? "...Himeko, wouldn't there be a lot of info on her?"

Dan Heng raises an eyebrow, "Because...?"

You huff, "You know what? This doesn't matter. I'm just..." you take a deep breath; if you start acting out now, you won't be taken seriously, and that won't help you accomplish anything, "why are things like my favorite foods, clothes, and erm...preferences in there, Dan Heng?"

He regards you blankly. "The sorts of things you posted to your socials?"

"Erm---" you fluster. "Well. Wait. Why do you stalk my socials???" Dan Heng, unlike you, takes it in stride. "I need to keep all info on each member updated. Don't worry, for the most part, all that is contained in the database is entirely public information."

While Dan Heng's explanations are...reasonable enough, you presume, you still can't quite shake off your unease. Dan Heng seems to pick up on this, and adopts an apologetic expression.

"...My apologies if this has caused you discomfort," he bows his head, "Even if I'm not in the wrong, that doesn't mean the emotions you're feeling are invalid either. I'll treat you to a meal."

You jump. Because he really doesn't need to, but also...you don't think you want to be in the same room as him, to be honest...! But...with how he's looking at you, and well----you don't really wanna disappoint him. You want to get along with everyone on board, and if this is just standard database protocol and whatnot, this is something you'll have to live with, right? It'd be undue of you to rock the boat over nothing, and if you DID do that, then you can only imagine how everyone will look at you like you're---

You smile, nervous and embarassed, "Um, you r-really don't have to!" You try.

"I insist." He does not relent.

You feel that Dan Heng is immovable on this matter. So, you simply nod, and follow him out of the database. Even though dinner ends up being nice enough, you never quite get that folder out of the back of your mind.

Meanwhile, Dan Heng wonders when you'll be ready to see the folder where he's amassed every single detail about your life.

Be Aware of alexbstudios. (Part 2) TW: uh.. slur, sui mention.

Recently I've been requested by some people to make another awareness post about Alex, and what has been going on since I made my last callout. So.. let's take a look. I'm gonna be honest I have been paying little to no attention to him at all since my post up until this point, didn't think I'd have to.

Ever since I made it, Alex has been talking about me a lot more, and it feels much more obsessive in a way. I think it's funny but also pretty weird considering some of the things he's said about me. Eugh.

Anyways let's get to the stuff from after my callout to the present. This is just a rundown of everything, and there is some stuff I skipped since I didn't feel it was worth mentioning. Once my post had been made, a lot of people went over and said stuff to him (Though I didn't encourage that behavior, I only wanted to make my post so people knew about him, I'm not covering those unless it's important in this.) Little afterwards he made this... post. Erh, are you stalking me and other people?? ALSO don't say the r slur man, like what.

I find it really creepy that he has this list, and has notes along with them about why/who they are. Also why'd he spell my partners name like that? 💀 Next a little after that he reblogged someone's art and introduction saying this. (I don't want to really @ people in this, nor get anyone involved unless they asked to be.)

I still don't understand how Alex views me, but saying this in a reblog no less is so strange. Reblogging another post, saying this with it...

You're right Alex, I didn't need you in my life, yet here we are. Unfortunately. Besides that, no, 12 year old's should NOT be on Tumblr at all, even with restrictions, said restriction should be having the app blocked from their device.

I'm just gonna.. move on from that. Alex reblogged an art post, where he proceeded to @ over 50 people, myself included, saying "surely you can see the problem". I can't fit the entire thing sadly. I don't get what the point in these posts are honestly, besides annoy everyone. He's done it before as well. He got into a small bit of beef with a handful of folk not too long ago, which I got @'ed in at some point I think, didn't really pay much attention to it. Basically the original post is someone talking about art supplies and asking what one's other people use, which I personally think was a very neat post. Alex comes around though for some reason going off on nonsense. Hello? Who invited you!? (Again, censoring names cuz I don't want to get ppl involved.)

I'm honestly kind of wondering why he even showed up. He pretty soon after made this dumb post as if it could have some effect on the situation.. uh?

Alex is still the same and is still never going to change probably. He still shouldn't be here and I believe he really should get off now more than ever. If not I fear what else he might do next.

Magnus wasn't good at words. But there's a few different ways to get his support across.

Taakitz, 8.9k. Modern with Superpowers AU! Super sweet interactions between Kravitz and Taako, paired with lots of fun background worldbuilding. And, of course, a very special grilled cheese sandwich.

Break This Heavy Chain by Punka_Writes: In the immediate aftermath of Story and Song, Barry Bluejeans could really use a hug.

Blupjeans and misc. platonic interactions, 2.3k. The absolute epitome of comfort food in written form, with excellent Barry characterization (and of course, he does get that hug)!

birds of a feather steal sweaters together by @holdmecloser-gandydancer: When you're a big, burly guy it seems that your clothes just become free reign for all your friends. Normally Magnus is a reasonable guy, but everyone has their limits.

Gen (IPRE crew), 1.9k. Starblaster era fluff! Everyone is written absolutely delightfully, and every time I read it I snort out loud at least twice.

Security by @ceilingfan5: Barry has finally made it--his incredible scientific discovery has landed him a huge fortune...and a lot of problems. The only good thing that's come of it, honestly, has been his bodyguard, Lup. (And the science. That's good also.) He's just gotta stay normal about how nice it is to have someone like Lup around, and also not perish by way of press circuit, and everything will be fine.

Blupjeans, 6k. Modern with magic AU from Barry's POV, featuring equal parts anxiety and pining. Also, it's straight-up extremely funny.

Lonesome Dreams by @jerreeeeeee: Taako wakes up one morning from a nightmare, fast fading. There was a guy in glasses, and they were… somewhere high up? Something terrible happened, but he doesn’t remember. He wakes up in a wagon he’s never seen before, but it has his name on it. There’s tons of food inside, more than he’d be able to afford. And he’s alone. Thinking back to the last thing he remembers is difficult. College? No, he’d graduated. Top of his class, obviously, he remembers that. But what- what happened after? Where is Lup?

Gen (Taako & Lup), 10.2k. Everything starts out the same, except Taako remembers Lup, even if not how she went missing, and it's incredibly underrated and full of phenomenal characterization. I won't spoil how things shake out, but it's a great emotional ride and I genuinely reread it all the time.

Gen (Taako & Lucretia & Angus), 2.1k. Short and so sweet! Fics about voidfished!Taako's birthday never get old, and this is one of my absolute favorites. Nailing the angst-to-wholesome ratio.

Tedious Familiarity by @barry-j-blupjeans: Déjà vu. Noun. A feeling of having already experienced the present situation. A tedious familiarity. Barry Bluejeans woke up in a cave, fresh out of a pod filled with green goop, and saddled with an unsettling feeling that he had been here before. If you had asked forty-year-old Barry if he would follow instructions left by a talking coin, he probably would have asked you what type of drugs you were on. But, y’know, fifty… two? Fifty-one? How old was he? Fifty-two sounded right. But, y’know, fifty-two years old Barry didn’t really have that many other places to turn, so this couldn't be all that bad.

Gen, 4.1k. Missing scenes based off Barry's decade alone, written in such an effective style, where all the little details truly make it. Mandatory reading for fellow Barry angst enjoyers.

Angus McDonald and the Wonderland Escape Rooms by coppersunshine: When Angus gets grounded from detecting, to keep his skills sharp he becomes a patron of the Wonderland Escape rooms, run by Edward and Lydia, who quickly decide he's their new nemesis. To their surprise, Angus and the collection of weird adults he's accompanied by decide otherwise.

Gen (Angus & Edward & Lydia), 7k. Modern with magic AU, putting Edward and Lydia in the absolute funniest possible job, at which a little boy detective torments... and maybe, even gives them a chance to turn over a new leaf. I am of the opinion that Angus and the Wonderland twins have a criminally underexplored dynamic, and this fic gave me everything I wanted.

If the Sun and Moon Should Doubt by Punka_Writes: Merle Highchurch, on the brink of a bad decision.

Gen, 1.6k. Merle character study immediately before running out on his marriage. Truly the incredible characterization that Merle deserves; this was a fic that really ignited my love for him.

Greensleeves by @sgrumby: Kravitz has never seen a lich like this before, and he's seen a lot of liches. Merle is just trying to save the universe, thanks very much.

Gen (Kravitz & Merle), 2.2k. A unique and also absolutely genius Lich!Merle AU where Kravitz inevitably comes after him, and Merle is... well, the Peacemaker, of course!

🎭 Lying headcanon for Asriel/Flowey

(Headcanons still from the same ask game that you can totally ask me questions from if you so desire)

What Asriel does post-pacifist is he downplays how much he cares.

How much he cares for Chara (though he certainly wasn't lying at first when he said he didn't forgive Chara, this is later when they start being nicer to him again. It was Chara who started this animosity by the way, but it's like ... "Oh, you don't forgive me for killing everyone, you hate me, huh? You never wanna see me again? Well, okay, then, I don't forgive you either, I don't wanna see your stupid face ever again, Fuck off!" And then he proceeds to see Chara over and again for the next few years until the animosity fades on both sides, because Frisk and Chara share the same body and it turns out he likes Frisk more than he hates Chara. See this is why I prefer the buttercup plan being a betrayal of a previously good relationship because being sort of forced to interact with a best friend you had a massive mutual falling out with is somewhat funny, but being sort of forced to interact with your relentless bully of three years is just fucking awful)

for MK (MK is impossible for anyone to dislike, trust me, Asriel tried at first to dislike them, mainly being jealous of their friendship with Frisk, but MK was kind, endearing and positive enough that he feels really bad about it (and MK’s reaction to bullying just isn't funny, they just brush him off and y'know...it later becomes very obvious that Frisk is definitely not leaving him behind),

for Toriel(he still really likes his mom, I am pretty sure he greatly prefers her to Asgore, and that's who he lives with, even if it might be a bit awkward living with her alone first it feels somewhat nice, doesn't it, to return home? And in the underground, he was hanging out in the ruins when Frisk came...with Toriel, though that might be just because he was looking for souls, and plus...the skeleton fam are always next door, if he wants to spend time with Frisk or Papyrus),

for Frisk (Caring and bright, like MK, but certainly not a goody two shoes by any means. Down for chaos and trouble, you mess with Frisk and they mess back, and that's just what Az likes about them. They forgave him when he didn't forgive himself, saved him when he still believes he doesn't deserve to be. (Though Frisk uses it constantly to win arguments and the like... Or Frisk is always allowed to pick the first movie on movie night because "no murder" privileges, Frisk gets the last cookie because "no murder" privileges, Frisk gets to ride shotgun because "no murder" privileges, and if there's a limited supply of something, Frisk gets the first pick, once again cos' no murder privileges.)

Who... understands about the presence of Chara and about the resets. And well...I often think about Chara and their "best friends", that one person they see as an equal above all else. But, well, Asriel has his own issues and he has his own best friends to feel weirdly intense about. In the underground, he idolizes Chara as that person...the exception to all the noise, the one person he feels that he can still care about, a potential partner in crime. And I think post pacifist, he kinda latches onto Frisk in the same way, at least to start with. In this case, it's paired with a crush but it doesn't have to be, for example with Chara, it evidently wasn't.),

and finally for Papyrus(still his idol, in the fifth anniversary thing, one of the people we know for sure that Asriel interacts with apart from Frisk is Papyrus, much like MK, I think Paps can be so kind that it starts to make him feel bashful and be significantly less likely to be cruel or act up, unlike Frisk and Chara who bring out the fire in him, either playfully (Frisk) or genuinely angrily (Chara). Also since Frisk lives with Paps, he'll come over just as often to see the skeledad as to see the skelekid, lucky of him to have both favourite people live right next door and in the same house. Why doesn't Az live with them then.... Because I like Friskriel. Also because living with Frisk would mean living with Chara, and neither Asriel or Chara want that (you can also see why he would be less than thrilled to see Sans every day of course).

He'll give gifts anonymously, hide his face away so Frisk doesn't see him blush at them, downplay or backtrack on compliments (or just mumble them), make excuses for caring actions, can be very clingy but never in public(and if you ever see him on Frisk's shoulders, it's just because it's easier than the pot, not cause he wants to be near Frisk or anything, or sometimes it's "Frisk paid me" liar). He's not a little weenie who "cares" about people, it's just because.... uh...

You know, general tsundere stuff.

And (apart from the blushing thing) this isn't just specific to his crush on Frisk but to every relationship he has. He has a reputation to maintain, he doesn't want to be teased, he always wanted to be "strong", to be seen as a "big kid" and that still goes now even if he's done trying to impress Chara or act cool for their sake. (Now, honestly, I think he might be trying to impress Frisk and MK, even though Frisk doesn't care and actually likes the fact that he's kind of a dork and MK is... actually pretty easily impressed, in fact, and is probably more annoyed when Asriel is mean, partially in an attempt to be "cool" and "tough" and "uncaring".)

Man, like not being depressed all of the time is so weird. I mean, I'm still probably mildly depressed if I'm being honest, but it's so mild compared to what it used to be. I never thought I'd be this free from depression. One of my earliest memories is trying to kill myself by jumping off a roof when I was like 4. I've always been depressed and wanted to die.

I wish I knew what changed, because I'd love to offer advice or help to people but I don't know. i quit taking my meds, because they never helped much to begin with and they seemed unnecessary and why go through the side effects of them when I don't need to. I've been in therapy for a long time and I wouldn't say I've never benefited from it. I definitely have learned some things in therapy but I don't think I can attribute it to therapy really. I know people say that a lot of mental illnesses do ease in your 30s typically, but my depression has always been so bad and it started so early, I didn't think that would be the case. It probably is a factor though. I do think just putting in work on like, forcing myself to do things, socialize, etc was probably the biggest factor. I also think having some level of delusion is sort of beneficial? Like...I used to always try to value what I felt was true over everything. I preferred being right than being happy. Now if something isn't necessarily true, but it makes me feel better about things and it isn't negatively impacting me or anyone else, I just go with it. I've said about this before, but when I really noticed the biggest shift was when I just was like, "Y'know what? This is my world and if I think something is funny, it's funny." Which sounds so stupid and inconsequential. But I used to always be like, there is no right or wrong answer for what's funny or whatever. And obviously that is still true, but it's like...who cares? If I think something is funny, it's funny. i feel like that's how everyone should feel about things like that. Not just humor, but like what art you like or food preferences or whatever. Just dumb shit, what you feel is the correct way to feel.

I don't know. It's honestly been a really big change and I'm still really adjusting to it and it's kind of disorienting. Sometimes I'll see like sad posts on here or like hear a sad song that used to really resonate with me before or whatever and I still understand it, because I was there, but I don't feel it anymore.

I spent the first thirty years of my life trying to die. I still intellectually agree with all of my positions I held before. I believe in the right to die and think people should be allowed to kill themselves in they want to. I don't think it's fair to tell people things will definitely get better, because so often they just don't. I never thought I'd feel this way, but now I'm honestly glad I didn't die. Being alive is fun. It's still hard, obviously. I still am definitely mentally ill and have a lot of problems with things. But like, it's fine, y'know? Fuck it, we ball.

So with Clementine Book Two coming out in October, I decided to do another reread of Book One. Though, I'll be honest, the bigger reason for this reread was out of spite; I follow Tillie Walden on instagram, and while I don't go on there often, I usually check her page when I do so I can see any new artwork or Clementine updates. Her latest post is from one of her other graphic novels, and I guess I just... don't get it.

I don't understand why people are like this:

This is on a post that has nothing to do with the Clementine comics. As for ones that are about Clementine-

Those are just a handful from a few Clementine-related posts, but there's so much of this all over Tillie's posts and I don't understand.

What does this accomplish? Other than making you look like an asshole? Like... no one is impressed by this. No one is applauding you for repeatedly commenting "lol we didn't want a forced gay romance ew," which by the way? Repeating that in every single paragraph you comment? Tell me you're homophobic without saying you're homophobic, y'know?

There are legit criticisms to be had of Clementine Book One- The pacing is all over the place where it starts very slow and then goes into whiplash mode after Amos dies. Georgia as a villain is a weak point in the story. Clementine naming her leg after Kenny is a bit icky considering in canon, he physically and verbally abused a disabled person with a brace on his leg in S2. I don't think there was much thought behind that decision past "Hey, the fans like Kenny," and I think that's worth pointing out as "Hey... maybe don't?"

Some of the dialogue is a bit stilted, but some of it is actually pretty good. My personal favorite is when Clementine and Amos are fixing a roof-

Amos: Lord, this roof is... Clementine: ...fucked? Amos: SHH, don't say that! It's... troubled.

I'm sorry- that's funny! And it actually says a lot about who these characters are and the kind of friendship they have.

And yeah, Ricca is just okay. She's clearly the love interest, and I'm hoping we get more development of her character. And yes, the "baby" thing is still weird.

There's a lot about the art style that I'm not crazy about, specifically Clementine's face and expressions, and I hope to see an improvement in that for Book Two.

And then the obvious: Clementine leaving because she was unhappy and felt everyone thought she was a liability doesn't match up with the end of TFS.

I don't think it's mean to say that Tillie wasn't the best fit for this project, but that's on Skybound. They're the ones who reached out to her and hired her. I think Tillie's a great artist and her graphic novels have great queer, wlw representation in them. Just because she wasn't the perfect fit for Clementine that doesn't mean she's bad, it means that maybe she should've been considered for a different project.

And honestly...? Y'all, Book One isn't THAT bad. It's not great or anything, but the comics can't take the games away from you. If you want to say canon ends with the TFS, then that's where it ends. That's where it ends for me; these comics are more of a "what if" scenario than anything.

No one is forcing you to accept this as canon, and if you're so pathetically butt hurt over the existence of a comic that you feel like you have to go on Tillie's instagram, the artist who is only doing the job she's obligated to do, and comment shit like this on every. single. post-

Maybe, just maybe, you need to go outside. I'm serious.

This isn't the only comment about grooming on Tillie's posts, or that I've seen on reddit. Like... do you understand what grooming actually is and how serious it is? Or are you just using it as a buzzword that you know is bad and triggering as a means of insult and convincing others that she's bad, too?

Also, I don't think you really understand how creativity and writing work. Maybe it's just me, though I doubt it, but when I create characters or write already established characters in my fanfiction, they all have a piece of me that's apart of them. My life experiences and who I am as a person influences everything I write, and that bleeds into the characters, for better or worse.

What, you think Louis having a random pillow collecting problem was something I just pulled out of my ass? No, it's because I have a pillow collecting problem! Do you know why I've always had a such a hard time writing for Violet? It's because I see a lot of myself in her and that scares me and I'd rather just not unpack all of that, okay?

no but i kind of have a take on this bear with me kindly, but like. i actually really do not think Dan is as jealous as people take him for a lot of the time, not because Dan isn't jealous at all but because i think Dan is only jealous about some things.

this kind of flows into a very different discussion which is my own ambivalent feelings as to whether i think Dan and Phil are monogamous or not, but i actually feel like in a lot of sexual situations where Dan makes a reaction about something, it gets misread as jealousy when it's usually just him being shocked or making fun of Phil or something et cetera. my favorite example is the arching back builder tiktok because i MAINTAIN with my WHOLE HEART that they were having a SOCRATIC DISCUSSION ABOUT IT!!! 5 interesting facts about hakuno:

her name is an annagram of kimi no na hakushi which translates to "your name is blank". i think it's suuper neat because 1. it gives you the impression of it being an insert name here kind of thing that's common for self-inserts, but it's a nice way to start off hakuno's character journey of becoming her own character from a blank slate and 2. it's a pretty straightforward way of telling us that her name, much like herself, is blank. empty. there's nothing there ^_T

speaking of- you know how with mc characters, there's usually a silly haha kind of dialogue option? that's present for hakuno too but i like it because it's more like an illusion of choice than something more like a self-insert thing. the point hakuno makes in the end is essentially the same, she's just being a lil goofy about the delivery, y'know! i'm not even kididng btw sgfkshfj hakuno herself admits sometimes that she did do it to get a rise/see the other person's reaction to it. moon lady's got a lil michievous side ✨️

she knows the sa-shi-su-se-so which is an expression to memorize essential ingredients for japanese cuisine. so it's safe to say that she'd at least know the basics of cooking, though it's a lil headcanon of mine that although she knows it theoretically, she absolutely flops at the execution (and if you wanna make this more nuanced, you can think of this through the lens of food as a love language-)

she "doesn't particularly like octopus". we don't get a reason why, but it's kinda funny when considering the sea motif in fate/extra! maybe hakuno wouldn't like seafood in general? this isn't that interesting but agfkshf we barely get any information about hakuno herself ya kno!!! which makes sense considering she doesn't even know herself, but that's why i treasure these little crumbs !!

i've noticed this in my reread of fate/extra, but i feel like hakuno brings up the fact that she's "not alone" Quite A Lot post chapter 4 or so. it's her only solace after finding out the truth of her existence so it makes sense why that fact is important to her, but i also like to think that repeating it so much is her (likely unconscious) way of trying to cope with how truly lonely her existence is :,)

OH MAN THIS IS A PERFECT THING TO ASK BC there's always hints about something being "off" about hakuno. in hindsight, it's pretty sad when this disconnect with everyone and everything else seems almost inherent to her existence when all she wants is to be a normal human and find her place in the world </3 and spoiler alert: She Is Not and She Does Not. but it's neat!

there's this one hakuno dialogue response that was essentially her introducing herself in an almost automatic "pavlovian response" — it's a small hint about her true nature as an artificial intelligence but i wish we got more of this aspect explored tbh! how much of her is real? how much of her is her? it could really mess up hakuno's head but it'd be hella interesting to see !

her reaction to being felt up by someone as a first meeting was seriously underwhelming ! a lot of hakuno's reactions to things are pretty tame and iirc it's been noted that she's strangely calm for someone in such a high-stress situation (enough to cripple even the finest soldiers, according to rin). it's likely her being so numb to it all tbh ^_T but it's still pretty weird hakunochan!!!

this one's kinda graphic but there's a scene where hakuno tries to reach her servant-- even as her body is literally being broken down and deleted in the process :,) i say it's uncanny because damn it's a great scene but hakuno's thought process behind it all is a widdle fucked up!! look at what she has to say when she goes numb from the pain + her stomach collapsed: "I just feel gross, like I’ve turned into a skeleton-monster. Though with my body being lighter, I’ll be able to walk faster, which is nice." HELLO??!? (bassbooted)

this one comes a ccc anthology chapter but basically hakuno was asked to pose for a photoshoot and she has no problems wearing a suggestive nightgown, a bikini, and a wedding dress but Draws The Line at a maid outfit (girl?) Ok, so, been a while since dragon ball was on this blog, but hey I don't control the hyperfixation.

So I'm watching Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero for the first time. Bad name first of all, but otherwise I'm actually loving it! XD And it's like 80% the voice cast!

So I'm weirdly good at picking out voices. It makes watching anime weird cuz there's like 6 people who do extra voices for dubbed anime. Like period. So everyone sounds like everyone all the time.

BUT

It's not extras that have me all fluffed up. It's the main cast. The new additions rather. Of course I'd recognize recurrents I've been watching dragon ball literally my whole life.

ANYWAY

So first! Dr. Hedo, is freaking Arthur(7ds)/Tanjiro(Demon Slayer)

And like sure, anime to anime, that happens all the time. Like do you even know how many background nobodies is Seven Deadly Sins are voiced by either Tien or Gohan? It's obnoxious for someone who has those two character in her top 5 faves. What's really funny, is-

Gamma 2 IS FREAKING HUNTER FROM THE OWL HOUSE! XD That's so cute I picked that up literally on the first word out of his mouth! And sure, I know Zeno Robinson does voices in other anime too, he's also in Demon Slayer. But *I* know him from TOH so that's just wild to me!

Gamma 1 is god. damned. Lancelot! That's funny to me. But not as funny as that that actor also plays Zenitsu(Demon Slayer), Those two character are so opposite. XD Though honestly, I have to commend Aleks Le for his range, I DID NOT pick on that for A WHILE cuz he uses a totally different sound for Zenitsu when he's awake vs when he's asleep.

Cheelai is Jericho(7ds) guessed that one straight away, but also Emira from toh. Never picked up on that. The elder Blight girl just acts too different I guess. So Erica Lindbeck gets a point from me for her range :p

Y'know, I've seen some complaints about the animation for this movie. And I get that, I'm really not a fan of this 3D model trend either. But honestly most of these look quite good... Except Whis for some reason? Like I don't know, something about him is just...off. Like his face looks a little uncanny and his whole body moves weird.

Just a little aside about me personally -this post is supposed to be about voice actors- but it just occurred to me. Anyone who's seen enough of my posts lately knows that I almost exclusively call King(7ds) by his true name "Harlequin". And I just noticed that that's actually kind of a trend with me. It started back in my teens, when I started referring to Goku by his Saiyan name "Kakarot". At least inside my own head. My brother and father were also into dragon ball back then and would have looked at me funny if I'd done it out loud...

on a different note, I'm absolutely going to die from cringe. Beerus having a crush is killing me.

I'm responding to this again because I realized I was so tired I kinda skimmed over things so now that I'm not dead here's the brain vomit about this.

So, yeah, Dark Crisis on the whole was shitty. I hated it. I mostly focused on Young Justice, and...god...but that little scene with Jason and Roy set me off for so many reasons.

First of all, them being so casual? Bullshit.

This boy pretended he hated that nickname. When Roy first said it on-page, his response was "Choose Jaybird or your trachea. You can't have both."

So when Bruce Motherfucking Wayne (who was written horribly both here and in his last Red Hood appearance where Roy literally had to save Jason from being nearly beat to death because holy shit does Lobdel suck) comes to tell him that Roy Harper, his best friend who he literally just saw, is dead, and died in rehab/therapy, where he was supposed to be safe, get better, and meet up with Jason again, he's not gonna be okay! Like...that fucking sucks. And part of it is, yknow, bad writing.

But in the spirit of working with what we're given, Jason was clearly effected by this. Enough to call Roy's voicemail and leave a message with his "dumb" nickname he always threatened Roy against using.

So you'd think he's have a bigger reaction to, y'know, seeing him alive again.

Also that Jason might be a bit hurt. Because when Roy came back, yeah he was a mess, tried to call Ollie and when that didn't work, contemplated calling Jason or Dick, and decided to do neither and tossed his phone and went AWOL for some freaking multiverse shit where he was a Black Lantern during which he learned Lian was alive. But once he's chilled, what does he do?

He goes to Titan's Academy and does...nothing.

Like, it does make sense for him to go to the Titans, Dick especially, for help finding Lian. Dick and Jason are both brilliant, and Dick has the whole team of Titans and their resources behind him. If they really focused, no doubt they could find Lian. And they say they will.

And then Roy just kinda...vibes. Acts as a teacher (and a shitty one at that because apparently people can't write him well anymore either). Doesn't freak over his missing daughter. Because Titans Academy SUCKED.

And not once during ANY of this is it mentioned even in passing that he and Jason have spoken.

So like, Jason mourned Roy, and when he came back, Roy said nothing to him and seemingly chose his brother over him like most people do. That would fucking hurt. I would think seeing Roy again, he'd get one of three things:

The cold shoulder

A punch in the face, or

A bone-crushing hug

Like, the casual "sup bro" vibe is just so wrong.

Moreso with Jason seeming familiar with Lian because he??? Never actually met her????

Like, he was the first person to know about her besides Roy, he was right there when Jade told him they had a child. But Jade never said Lian's name or I don't think even gender, Jason died shortly after, and to my knowledge worked with Roy once post-ressurection and that one time he is nowhere near Lian. So him "remembering" doesn't make a lot of sense. And it's so aggravating.

I don't think it's suspicious, though. I think it's just shitty writing. Because few people seem to get Roy right and much fewer get Jason right. No one but the fans pay attention to them. My expectations are low.

As for the rift between Roy and the Titans...idk, Lian's seen Roy fighting with almost everyone, Dick especially, all the time, enough that grown-Lian and Mar'i Grayson found it funny and nostalgic.

Roy also has a consistent history of coming and going from the team, so it's not real surprising he's not with them all the time. And there was at least Kori in the beginning even if that was very much not her characterization because Lobdel sucks.

And he did kind of go back and forth between Jay and the Titans for a bit before the disaster that was Heores in Crisis, so I think she'd see it as pretty normal. Like, how many teams has Roy been on? He gets around. The usual little rifts building up, or just having wanderlust, so he moves around and changes who he's working with. Not super weird to me tbh.

And maybe the trash Lobdel wrote also rotted my brain, but I love the concept of JayRoy. Jason being the first person aside from Roy to know about Lian's existence is something I wish had been touched on in a series about Jason stealing half of Dick's redheads before getting one of his own. All of Jason, Roy, and Kori have complicated relationships with Dick Grayson; they all love him deeply in different ways but sometimes for good reason just can't stand him. And they coulda done something with that besides erasing it entirely.

But that's what N52 on the whole did and part of why it sucked. It fucked over like the entire Batfam (and everyone else, but Batfam is My Area). Girl Robin? Ridiculous! Non-Babs Batgirl? Silly concept! Parapalegic Oracle? Lame! Red Hood being a complex character? Lol. Tim Drake being uber traumatized and dealing with suicidal ideation? Booooooring! Azrael? Who's that?

And while the whole thing is a big, somewhat confusing, incredibly frustrating lore dump on how and why Lian is like 15 instead of like 9 (she died when she was 4 and I presume it's been a few years but not THAT long) and why she didn't look for her parents sooner, I want to focus, very specifically, on this:

That is Arsenal and RED HOOD in that window. Lian was watching her dad run around with Red Hood. She saw them running around when they were in Gotham together.

Which makes me think that maybe she actively avoided Jason.

From what I can surmise from what I've read, a lot about Red Hood is common knowledge but also in like a cryptid sort of way. A lot is "known" about him, because Jason is loud and, while very smart, sometimes reckless, but a lot of it is sort of contradictory and messy.

It wouldn't surprise me if among common knowledge or popular belief that Red Hood specifically protects kids (who aren't dressed like traffic lights), especially given his one big rule when he stepped on the scene was don't sell drugs to kids. It would be a not too hard theory that he may have once been one of those kids, especially considering he might use his upbringing for clout to gain respect, show he knows how shit works.

And now remember that since her "death" and Cheshire dumping her on a doorstep, she's become basically a Gotham street urchin just like Jason was. She and her friends were thieves in order to get by. She, like anyone else, could have gone to a Red Hood for help and protection. Heck, if she were to go to any Bat, Jason would be her best bet because I believe (and I could be wrong) he is the only one who never met Lian. And he only worked with Roy once after Roy found out about her.

She sure as shit wouldn't be afraid of him. She's still very kind at heart, but she's steeled herself enough to be able to do this:

Because before this, as angry and hurt as she was about Jade's life choices, the worst she had ever done was throw her photo of her across the room and cry "Bad Mommy!" at it. Now, while she's still too attached to Jade for my liking/sanity, she is able and willing to tell Jade to her face when she thinks she's done wrong.

So it comes down to, Jason has attached himself to Roy, and Lian can't risk everything just for food and protection. Not forherself, or her friends.

Selina Kyle was truly a blessing for this child, training her and caring for her.

I know a lot of people don't like Shoes, but Gotham Street Kid Lian just has so much to work with. And it's not like Roy hasn't lived in Gotham before, even pre-Flashpoint.

This is honestly a long-winded way of me saying I want to see Lian interact with Jason.

both jmah!dream and sam (double time traveler now lmao) get punted into very early dsmp. like before anyone other than the original 8 joins. how badly does this go? how similar is it to if this happened to canon!dream and sam?

Funny enough, I touch on this just a little in this post, if you wanna check it out - though that was a scenario where jmah!Dream travels back alone. If they both travel back in the same manner as jmah!Sam, as in they get their memories in their old bodies, then it'll - really depend, honestly.

If they're together with the og 8 around while it happens, both of them would probably be really really disoriented at the beginning - enough for the other people in the room to at least get a sense that something's wrong. This scenario probably ends with everyone dropping everything to try and figure out what's happening Because Concern - if they, intentionally or not, end up spilling some information about the last timeline, then everyone else would probably react w/ the general thought process of like, both Dream and Sam have been through some Really Fucked Up Magical Shenanigans and Really Need Help as a result. Even if more of the specific details of their dynamic come to light, the emotions from the other members of the og 8 wouldn't be nearly as charged enough for them to react super violently outside of a general sense of Getting Their Friends Help.

In this scenario, both j!Dream and j!Sam would kind of be a whole Process - and the situation would be messy - but given the support of their other friends, they could probably begin making steps in the right direction towards, y'know, not crashing and burning and taking half the server down with them.

Other possibilities include that of if they were just With Each Other when the memories came in, or if they were each completely alone. If it's just them two, then Sam would probably try to physically restrain Dream and end up failing - but not before both of them get pretty substantially injured. There's a good chance, here, where Sam loses a life. In a situation where he does actually manage to get Dream restrained - either because Dream was lacking in gear for some reason at that point, or low in health, or because Sam managed to get an order off that has devastating consequences for Dream given his lackluster gear compared to what he's used to - he'd probably take Dream and ditch the server. Any attempt at Prison 2.0 would be sloppy and ill-managed, given j!Sam's lack of any proper gear and resources and j!Dream being much less deteriorated from being tortured for a year, but it would probably end similarly violently.

After this, both of them would probably go into a manner of reclusion - j!Dream is terrified of interacting with anyone, in a lot of ways, and searching for insurance to keep the world from going to shit again. j!Sam is obsessive over trying to find j!Dream and keep him from wreaking havoc. The rest of the og 8 are trying to track down their friends + family members, who literally disappeared one day - and any actual interactions with them will probably leave them with the impressions that both of them are really really not okay and Need Help. Fun times all around!

There's compilation in YT with growing parts centered around you flexing your physical fitness and prowess. It ranges from you affectionally touring your fans, which really meant the cameraman, through the gym, introducing your trainer, and doing your routine on camera, to your group (and others) both fawning and bragging about how strong and how hot you are.

CLIP #1: A scene from an interview of your group in Japan, struggling to talk about how you can do 40 straight push ups.

There was a male interviewer in a suit you could all faintly recognize was talking about your recent Instagram post of a gym mirror selfie.

One of your youngest members smirked and in broken Japanese, cutely said, "Wah, she does 100 push ups! Everyday, every night."

You snap your head to the maknae and raise your brows, "nani?" You begin to shake your hands in protest and begin to explain your truth, "absolutely not 100. Maybe around 40, but nooooo, not 100."

The interviewer and your group comically react in awe. The man in the suit urges, "can you show us?"

You give a face, "Excuse me, but I'm not getting paid to do that in this miniskirt."

Everyone, including the film crew, break into laughter.

CLIP #2: A scene from a variety show where you had to prove you were, in fact, yourself, by doing a shortened version of your exercise routine.

One of the hosts of the show asks, "Wait, do you honestly do all of this in your workout? Like you can do all of it?"

The list of your exercises were written on a colourful cardboard, held by the one who just spoke. It was a range of exercises in 10 sets, from jumping jacks to sit ups, to vague sounding exercises like crab pinches and robot arms.

You purse your lips at the last question asked of you, not really liking the tone in which it was asked. You answer quickly and nod proudly, "I actually do more, cause when I get in the zone and I'm already really sweaty, I feel like I should keep going until my whole body burns." You chuckle.

The older hosts, tilt their head and mutter lowly under their breath something along the lines of, "I'd rather die."

You finally do the routine, quickly, continuously, earning impressed reactions from everyone.

"That's hot," one of the hosts note.

"Ya, for some reason it looks easy to do."

The hosts begin to clamour at that statement, and force whoever said to do the exact thing you did. Clearly, they don't work out as much as you do and cannot even get halfway through it without stopping.

You break out into a breathless laugh in amusement of the comical attempt but then protest, explaining how bad it is to force yourself to do more than you can

CLIP #3: Pentagon, Hongseok especially, fawns over how fit you are

Trailing a conversation about how your group is close with Pentagon because your companies are situated closely to each other and you wind up eating together a lot, there is an anecdote about how there was a jar no one could open, no one but you, that is.

The interviewer asks no one in particular, "wah, none of you could open the jar? Really? Or did you all just pretend so she could open it?"

There is a chorus of answers concluding with, "no really, she was the only one that was able to open it."

The story is backed up by how the jar had a really small lid and some hands were too big. Then came an explanation how you were recently into the new rock climbing machine in your gym.

Hongseok speaks up, "I was invited to go to rock climbing in, like, an actual rock climbing place and I was honestly so surprised when she began to climb. She said she never actually tried rock climbing on a wall, but it seemed like she had been doing it for years."

Shinwon agrees, "Right, right. I was also really curious about what they did that day," he points to Hongseok, "that I joined them one time. I never felt so out of shape in my life. I just stayed back and filmed everything."

Pentagon laughs, and then agrees that you were exceptionally fast and just super fit in all honesty.

The interviewer catches Hongseok's expression then suddenly asks, "do you like a woman like that?"

"Yeah, I like my women strong."

Then came a lot of teasing remarks from Pentagon, and a plethora of complaints from delusional fans who did not want Hongseok to ever breathe in your direction again.

With all that's been said about that, in all the parts of this series floating around in the internet, one thing remained, there was a slightly larger population of impressed fans than the still large portion of antifans who wanted nothing to do with it and only came around to hate.

It's hard not to think about it, but even the slightest back handed compliment can sometimes linger in one's mind.

And right now, as much as I kept my mind on my counting as I finished my set high knees, I couldn't help but think of how much backlash I got from posting a post workout photo with my midriff exposed.

Apparently that was not only enough to merit hate for being both a whore and an attention whore, but people baselessly began to hate on my groupmates simply for being associated with me.

It's kind of sad really, how, say Wonho, can post a fairly exposed photo of himself and get so much praise for it, and yet I couldn't even do anything remotely close to that.

And I don't even mean to come at Wonho, we all know he's a beast at the gym and should be able to show as much of his hard work as he is comfortable in showing, but why can't I?

"Hey trooper. I thought you said you were only doing 80 counts?" a voice cracks me out of my train of thought.

I turn to whom spoke and chuckle at myself as I stop my leg raises, "ah yeah, I got lost in thought, and your really good song."

I pull on my earphones and give a lopside smile, "I love working out to God's Menu."

He gives a soft, "he he, thanks."

"No need for a thank you when I'm only giving my honest opinion, Chan."

"Yeah, well still, it makes my kokoro go doki-doki," he sniggers, crossing his arms and flashing a dimpled smile. I raise my upper lip and reel back, "EWWW!"

I playfully shove him. He acts hurt, "this is violence against children."

"Chan, you're literally older than me."

"That doesn't mean I'm not a child at heart."

"You mean, it doesn't mean you're not a drama queen."

"Hey, I have no interest in having a throne, my only interest is," he leans in and whispers, "you."

I feel my soul leave my body as he snorts to himself and runs away. I regurgitate in surprise, "YA!"

"You better do your next set properly," Chan says heading off to a cable row machine, "I'm always watching."

I try to ignore the blood rushing up your neck, "creep."

He shrugs, "rather that or have you get injured, sweet heart."

Yeah, Chan has saved me from a lot of injuries I could have had. It was a bad habit. It stemmed from the same thing that made me mess up my count a while ago, my overthinking.

Sometimes I thought of rather harmless things, but sometimes I began to fixate on the hate I received for simply being. I do a lot to get my mind to realize that they hated me simply because they could and because it was easy. Exercising helped tremendously, especially when I had someone fun to work out with, especially when I was with Chan. He just... made me feel safe, y'know.

But when the news of us being work out buddies surfaced, a lot of sasaengs came for me. Of course, a lot of Stays and my own fans were really kind about, speaking out that we were our own people and exercising together did not mean anything in particular really.

But some really went for it, and made it a hobby to comment on everything I was in that I was a slut for 'working out' with different men every day."

I let out a breath as I finish my routine. I catch my breath and go for a swig of my water. I take a moment then sit down by the mirror, which was near where Chan was currently working out.

"You're doing it again."

I turn from where I was blankly staring at turn to Chan who gave me a soft look, "you good?"

I release a sigh then purse my lips, "maybe."

He pouts, "what happened?"

I shrug and stand from where I sat, "you know, the usual."

Chan then comes up to me and takes my water bottle from me, "you know, no matter how much people say you don't need water to live, you can never change the fact that you are extremely dependent on water to live."

I look at him and half- heartedly point, "are you calling me thirsty?"

He begrudgingly groans and releases a chuckle. He calls my name out in a scolding tone. I feel myself relax, "I know what you're getting at Chan."

He nods, "good. I'll always be here to remind you of that."

I smile and feel an urge to hug him, "if you weren't so sweaty, I would totally hug you right now."

Chan then gives me a look then does not hesitate to crush me into his arms. I groan and whine in protest. He chuckles, "you literally just said you wanted a hug!"

"YOU'RE LITERALLY SO SWEATY. NO ONE WANTS THIS TORTURE."

Chan huffs and gives a wounded look, "hmp. You better spot me while I lift or else I'm unfriending you."

"Hmm... I think I'll be good without you as a friend."

I half expect Chan to whine about it, but he instead smirks, "ahhhh, you must want me to be your boyfriends so badly huh."

CLIP #4: A crack edit of Chan when he gets asked about his gym relationship with me in Chan's Room.

He was looking through the questions and suddenly chuckles, his ears noticeably began to redden. Cue a zoom in of his face and his red ears. Cue a clip of Cardi B saying, "that's suspicious."

He says my name then continues, "am I close with her? Yeah. I would say I'm close with her-- and her whole group actually."

Captioned: Nice save, Chris.

"The kids and I are close with her group," he says, clearing his throat.

A clip of him clearing his throat is repeated about ten times.

Chan adjust the beanie he was wearing as he thinks of what he was going to say next, "we actually do work out together a lot because she's under a trainer that works with my trainer."

Leviathan Birthday Event Review (because why not)

I didn't want Levi's birthday to go by without a post about it. I couldn't post anything that day or the days before since I've had a lot of workload and well, I don't feel like continuing on the PC after finishing my shift ;(

So here comes the review no one asked for about the event + cards + devilgram stories! yassssss

Pop Quiz!

My rating: 6.5/10

So, the event was about Leviathan organizing his birthday party, planning what activities to do with his brothers, being discouraged in the process because he thought those activities sucked, but his brothers reassured him it was ok, they wanted to do it. They all have a good time in the end, great!

It was funny to see everyone trying his hobbies, I remember the most that scene with Lucifer and Satan decorating their Ruri-chans in ways I wish we could've seen. Levi as an otaku is usually alone with his own stuff, but seeing his brothers wanting to do the same and enjoying it was pretty cute.

Besides that, I won't lie, the event was pretty basic, but I must say, it's better than last year's, specially when it comes to the romantic scenes, this year's was pretty dokidoki inducing. At the unlockable route, there's this scene that I believe was the highlight of the event for us Levistans.

Once the two of us are together is his room, you can ask him if all he wants to do is gaming because, y'know, you could be doing other stuff. He says he wants to (god bless him) but let's you decide because he's a consent king and hear me, if you pass he'll be like

But if you say yes I swear he kisses you like 4 times and tells you the sweetest things I must have read coming from him.

No matter the option, the ending is me loving him more.

But anyway, aside from the romance, for a birthday event it was alright I guess, nothing out of the ordinary, but fine.

UR Card: "Heartbeat✩Creation Time"

Beautiful, magnificient, gorgeus. The drawing is just so good. When it comes to OM! illustrations, I'm pretty fine with the different styles with get to see. But this classic otome style was done so well this time I can't help appreciating it. If last year's UR (oh how to forget the cursed, bugged card) was pretty, this year's was perfect. He looks handsome and cute, classic Leviathan, but also the unlocked version is just... Ahhh, did you see him? He's drunk! And he looks so pretty like that! Like, what is he saying? is he slurring while talking otaku nonsense? is he trying to flirt and failing? We'll never know (because the devilgram story has nothing to do with it but bah, nevermind)

Overall, great card, I'm glad I got it (it was the easiest Pop Quiz UR I've ever gotten, besides his last year's which was... you know, bugged)

Devilgram Story: 5/10

I'm sorry but after Satan's birthday UR card my expectatives are way too high. That's the standard my mind has set for these kind of stories.

So in his devilgram story, Leviathan tells you about an idea he has about a manga, then puppet show, he wants to make. It's an obvious TSL inspired? (ripped-off?) story. And the plot is quite bad, for being such a cultured otaku, you'd expect better. But anyways, it's an obvious self-insert, the ending is basically he day-dreaming of confessing to you and well, Levi basically telling you he wants to grow old with you was cute, I won't lie. But the dialogue after that is quite bland, you tell him you want that as well and that's basically it? (Do we even kiss? I forgot, sorry)

So, considering it was a chance to impress us with this card that most Levistans grinded their asses for... it just wasn't impressive, there are better devilgram stories for Leviathan (I'm looking at you, "A Virtual Drive" and "Handmade Present!". Those were really good.)

SSR Card: "Devildom's Next Top Otaku"

Illustration: 8/10

The locked version is cute, yes, his eyes and the way he's holding the sheep is awww. But I guess it's nothing out of the ordinary. The unlocked one though is veeeery pretty. The starry background, the pink flower crown, and his facial expression are just. Beautiful (I wish my english was better so I could use more complex words idk). He looks like the king he is, happy on his own birthday. Nice.

Devilgram story: 8/10

Better than the UR, it finally, finally!!! uses a concept I've been daydreaming about for months: Model Levi.

Because why not!! He's part of the Seven Rulers of Hell, basically the most poweful and popular guys in the Devildom, they're all handsome as hell and the otaku rat boy is not an exception. He's unique and c'mon, otaku aesthetic is in nowadays. I like how the photoshoot ends up accommodating him, he's at ease and you can tell he ends up looking amazing. He's actually on the cover of the magazine, and while I ended up wondering if his brothers had planned the whole setup for his modeling in order to celebrate him (is it supposed to be like that? and I was too stupid to get it? hahaah), I think it was refreshing for him. I think we Levistans complain a bit about how he's underused when it comes to him being a hottie and well, at least now we've got some canon material about that ;)

My critique it's the lack of romance , I wish we could've smooched him and have more heartwarming dialogues.

Aaaand a concept we've already gotten last year: Levi pushing his boundaries when doing something new just to abandon it and be like "I'm happier with my simple life with you so I won't model anymore" (or last year's version: I won't become a pro gamer)

Like yes, it's his life, he can do whatever he wants, that's cool. Buuut, and I guess this is more subjective from my part? I just don't like how it's kinda romanticed the fact he'd give up on something because he'd rather stay at home with you. Part of me is ok with that idea because, again, it's his life, I'm pretty sure it must be uncomfortable with his social anxiety, it's fine I swear. But I also wonder if it's one of those "We'll never let these characters grow up and we'll just keep them safe cuz moneeeeyy" solmare moments. Like, yes, he's a full time otaku, but being an otaku allows him to know about sewing, music (instruments and singing), dancing, having a cosplay account, he's good with his hands, knows programming, and besides his otaku interests, he knows about the sea and... military. So yes, modeling, and the conflict it creates within him and how he's able to surpass it, fits his character. It was a good addition just to be abandoned so we'll probably never see it again.

Ah, guess it's not a big deal so nevermind. (see how i ended up being more critical about my higher ranked story of the 3? yes, that's me and my perfectionism)

But yes!! It was a good story. It was my favorite of the 3 of them, I wish the Pop Quiz would've followed this path instead.
