Hey, I'm not sure if this is important for everyone, but... if anyone saw the news about Texas getting hit by a hurricane-caused no power in the city, this is the second day of no power at my house, and I know that some of the town still has no powers, and some restaurants/bars are closed, don't open until tomorrow. I have work tomorrow. Maybe the power will come back soon, I'm going to have to force sleep with my older sister and her family, just for a day. I'm surprised that I sleep through heat at night. At least I was able to draw again. It had been for a while...

I got slightly too enthusiastic about eating the small watermelon I bought. It was not the best I have ever had but still a solid 8/10. I also discovered you can sprinkle course salt on it for something a little different (did this after coming home after a full day of outdoor work in extreme temperatures and feeling kinda awful). It tasted good so I will probably do it occasionally going forward.

I also remembered the main reason I bought the watermelon, to make watermelon basil lemonade, just in time to make a small batch. I know, this is another thing that sounds odd. I would have never considered this flavor if I had not had a sample at a farmer's market.
