i was in a really dark place before watching hamilton and joining the fandom. i don't think i would've made it to this day without the fandom tbh.

I often see fics you requested or were gifted that you haven't even acknowledged. It makes me question if I should support your fic honestly.

Hey anon - debated for a moment whether or not I should respond to this, in part because I hate airing things out in public forums, but I suppose I would feel worse not responding.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "often" seeing this. There are some fics on ao3 which were gifted to me I have not commented on. Some of these are from my friends with whom I have talked about those fics in length about in DMs; I keep meaning to comment but I have not gotten around to it. I have communicated this directly to a lot of my friends.

I am also an extremely procrastinate-y person. Right now I focus a lot on trying not to procrastinate the BILLION real life things I have going on, and this means I unfortunately often kick the can down the road regarding things like comments. Sometimes I think I'm going to do it tomorrow and then suddenly it is 3 months later. This is also something that I have said to people. Currently (again, as I have said to a lot of friends, people I speak to outside public forums, etc) I'm planning not to participate in TRSB and such this summer, or at all until I'm a little bit free, in part because I'm worried about not getting the energy to comment quickly.

All this said -- I'm not sure I ought to have said it. I don't like the idea that someone is monitoring my ao3 use and deciding whether or not they should "support me." With all due respect, anon, I'm doing this for fun. If you don't like me, don't "support my fic" -- as much as things like comments & kudos are delightful and make me happy, I don't write for them, and I don't work for you. If I wanted strict deadlines and someone deciding whether or I'm worth their investment, I'd... go do my job, I guess.

I want to be a good community member; I want to be more involved than I have been lately. I have had a lot of conversations with friends about trying to comment more, be more engaged, platform people, etc. I also work a high stress 40-hour-a-week job, manage my grandparents' medical stuff, and take care of my dog. Sometimes I'm going to log in here and just do the easy fun thing, which is making tumblr posts and writing my little fics. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? It is not posted anymore, but I wrote out a miniseries for Sifkni’s past. So, if you are reading the newly updated version of Roar of a Wolfborn, you probably never got to experience the angst that was Howls of Whiterun (If you are interested and want to read stuff from 2014/2015 send me a DM I can send the document of trash :3)

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Rage of Dragons and the Vestige - It’s the 3rd part in Liselle’s story. It covers Northern Elsweyr. She gets married to that old man, Abnur Tharn. Gets herself a Khajiiti Wedding bc that’s where they were.

Do you get hate on fics? I have in the past. For my old crack fic for Kingdom Hearts. I’ve recently found my one Dragon’s Dogma fic on a stupid website that says your writing is shitty or whatever. LOL I’m more angry about it, but like, it was written for fun… nothing serious my dudes. ( I can also supply this link but honestly its stupid.) The fic was written in 2014? 2015? And the review was posted in 2019?? XD

Do you write smut? I have but I will not write it anymore. It makes my physically ill sometimes. I get really bad anxiety over it.

Craziest crossover? I have a fic from like…2001? That was just a bunch of my husbandos from all my favorite animes falling in love with me. :3c, but nothing recent. Crossovers are not my things.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? YES! OMG! Someone stole MY fic idea and then TRIED to say I PLAGIARIZED THEM! The absolute! NERVE!

Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I am aware…. I’ve had people use my translations of doujinshi to make more translations?

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes. It was quickly dropped due to his time constraints and low interest in TES at the time. Attempted to write it myself, but it wasn’t the same.

i'm being fr here but basically, how do you actually 'do' the stuff you enjoy without feeling guilty that you're instead not doing the stuff you're supposed to do? (e.g. school work, chores etc)

like i'm just so tired, i don't want to have to drink strong gross ass coffee to stay awake, and i just wanna be able to finally read some levi fics without feeling like i could be doing something more "useful". it just feels like there's no time lol. tbh, even worse or something similar along those lines is when the opportunity for you to do something you actually enjoy does present itself, but then you're just procrastinating doing it 🤨 idk if this is just me or what.

(sorry if this comes across as whining, not surprised if you roll your eyes at this)

babe i would never roll my eyes at this. it's not whining, it's a genuine question!

so, two issues here: (1) not being able to do anything fun/relaxing because you have work to do and (2) when you do have rare free time, still procrastinating on actually doing something fun.

the first issue is something i actually seriously tackled last year, because it was tiring me out in such a major way. therapy helped a lot. essentially, my week would go something like this: i have something due friday morning. it's monday today. i think if i get it done today i will have from tuesday to friday to kick back and do things i actually like to do. except it doesn't get done monday. call it autistic burnout, or executive dysfunction, but it just doesn't. nothing gets done, and because nothing gets done i don't get to have fun either. so i do nothing on monday, not anything productive or anything fun. tuesday goes the same way. wednesday goes the same way. almost all of thursday goes the same way, and then at night the actual anxiety kicks in like holy shit i can't miss the deadline so i do the entire assignment thursday night. i'll have it for friday, but i'll be exhausted from staying up till 3 AM getting it done and i didn't get to do anything fun or relaxing all week. next week, same cycle. it's brutal.

so my advice may not work for you. it works for me because i work well last minute and things always end up getting done. so what my therapist suggested to me, and what i started doing early last year, is to let things be put off. if something is going to get done thursday night, then it's going to get done thursday night. i'm not going to try and get it done monday, tuesday, wednesday. i'll do other things those days without putting a condition first. no if i do assignment a, i get to do fun thing x. just straight to do what you want to do.

and there's a lot of flaws with this way, nor is it perfect for me. it's still something i struggle with. doing things last minute isn't always feasible. even if you end up doing things well, sometimes you still shouldn't. last year i pulled an all nighter to write a 15 page paper i had about a month and a half to write because it was due the next day. i never made myself try and do it, because i knew it wasn't gonna get done until i absolutely had to do it. that's not ideal. i got a good grade, but i could have gotten a better grade if i had time to email the professor with my questions.

the other flaw is that some things don't have a due date. like laundry. it still takes me forever to do my laundry, and sometimes i tell myself i won't do anything until i put my clothes away, and then i just....never put my clothes away. nothing will magically kick in, because there's no time that my clothes have to be back in my closet by. they just gotta be in there.

but it's a start. at the very least, you'll be able to do things without this crushing guilt. sometimes, if you don't have to do something immediately, just don't. even if you just take that time to laze around on your phone! have fun or relax or hang out with people without feeling like you need to do something else. yeah there's things to do, there will always be things to do. you don't have to put the rest of your life on pause for them.

secondly, around summer last year, i started taking lexapro regularly, as well as adderall when i need it. it's helped me immensely. i've been on antidepressants and some adhd meds before, but this was my first time on both these meds, and they actually helped. i'm not saying you need meds, or that they'll work for you the way they've worked for me, but they are an option, and they can help. i'm happier. i can't emphasize enough how hard it is to do work or fun when you can't bring yourself to be happy. be open to therapy, to medicine, to help.

other tips: (1) if i spoil myself ever, whether that's with food or a book or a DIY kit or something, i tend to do it when i have a big task to do. it gives me a seratonin boost and sometimes i need that to do anything. it works better than doing something for a reward. little treat first, then work. (2) i can't be in the same place over and over again. i can almost never study at home, and i get sick of campus very quickly. move around. find cafes. if you have to be at home, move to different areas. (3) BODY DOUBLING WORKS!! anyone in your life who can do something with you, try and see if they want to. i've had a friend on facetime working on an assignment while i do laundry. sometimes we'll work 25 minutes and talk 5 minutes, sometimes we're just working. having someone else hold you accountable can be miraculous for your productivity. (4) be comfy. if i'm sitting and my back hurts, forget it. work is not getting done. (5) scour for advice on the internet. r/audhdwomen has had some good tips for me. there are people who are going through what you're going through.

once the guilt stops, you will get more productive. i'm able to do things a little more timely now. if you're upset 99% of the time, productivity can feel like a fever dream. to be clear, i'm busier now than i've ever been. between school, work, clubs and other things i literally always have something to do. i remember my therapy appointment after black friday last year, and i was telling my therapist about how i worked at my store all weekend, i had cuts on my hands from customers snatching things from me, and i was so, so, so tired. and my therapist was like, "you know, it's amazing. you're beat up and exhausted, but you seem happy. you're smiling." and it's true. i used to not get through a single appointment without bawling. now i've finally gone from every week to every other week for appointments. that may not sound like a big deal, but it is.

now, the second issue. procrastinating on stuff you want to do. this one i have a lot less to say on, because honestly, i feel it too. there's so much i wanna do. i have so many WIPs, there's stuff i wanna read, i wanna practice playing ukulele, i wanna do more calligraphy, i wanna learn to juggle and to crochet and you get the picture. and yet when i do have free time, whether that's because work is actually done or i just don't need to do it right now, sometimes all i find myself doing is laying down on my bed and scrolling for hours.

i wish i could tell you what to do here. i can at least say that it makes sense. nothing's wrong with you. i'm tired 24/7, i'm sure you are too. just recently i've tried to start working on my physical health (mind you, a year ago, i couldn't even fathom doing this, it's a slow process). i'm trying to drink more water, i'm getting monthly massages for my back pain, i'm trying to find some martial arts to do to stay active. physical and mental health go hand in hand. you have to take care of yourself. that "procrastination" not letting you do anything fun is your mind and body recovering. if you can bring yourself to do something you want to do, of course you should! but if you can't, don't beat yourself up over it. there's no time limit on your hobbies. the levi fics will still be there the next day ;)

i try to reply to every comment around the first week of posting something (because by then it’s an “old work” and it’s “weird” to comment on it, but that’s another post 😐). i still haven’t replied to the last of the ceaseless eve comments & i feel terrible, the sentimentality of it all overwhelms me but know i appreciate it 😭 i wish there was like a code word though that people could comment that lets you know if they want you to respond or not, because it’s hard to know if people want an author response or if it’ll scare them off yk

i don’t do a lot of angst, but when i do, i do (meaning i lay it on too melodramatically thick lmao) but i thought i’d give a list of some of my angstiest/darkest fics 🤠

the moonlace & the sunflower 🌻 (in which grover dies protecting a demigod, so the empathy link causes percy to pass away as well)

games long lost 🌳 (in which luke must drink annabeth’s blood for kronos’s reformation, it covers the dark lukabeth of it all & there’s some death)

the smallest casualty ♟️ (in which it’s slowly revealed over the course of a luke & annabeth chess game that the gods lost the war, and percy & friends have been subjected to dark magic experiments to make them compliant to luke’s fantasy)

rewired 🤖 (okay. i usually try to be humble or self deprecating or whatever but this 1400 word fic is an actual fucking masterpiece to me idc. it just came out of me and makes me physically nauseous to this day. showing this to my hypothetical therapist etc etc. oh wait what’s it about lmao—the concept of daniel rewiring his brain & morals to fit into silver’s desires. ft that sick sick silverusso dynamic)

i have a variety of fluffy fics, but i’d have to say my happiest most sugar coated ending is—

i’ve gotten unwarranted criticism (i like to ask for constructive crit comments at the end if it’s like a longfic) that’s been surprisingly rude…i won’t say which fic but someone got so mad at one of my chapters they left a lengthy mocking crit comment and then stopped reading 😭 but that’s their prerogative, i hope they found something they enjoyed afterwards. other than that, surprisingly considering some of the controversial dark fics i’ve written…no sign of flames, so thanks! 😅

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i have four different smut fics (hopefully a fifth if i can ever finish it up)…i fear they’re repetitive but also not really, they cover different fandoms and explore different kinks. i’m not really sure what to say about them, hopefully people find them hot ! or whatever !

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

i’m not a fan of crossovers currently, but my longest fic i wrote when i was 15 (it’s 97k i’m beating it someday 😭) was a crossover between sanders sides, voltron, miraculous ladybug, and gravity falls (doesn’t that feel like a kick in the gut lmao—did i mention i was 15? 😅)

i tried, myself and another author had a shared Google doc & everything…but we both just didn’t commit. i don’t think i’d work well with another writer…i don’t mind bouncing ideas around with a beta reader/editor (like @heavens-vault 🤠) but ultimately i’d prefer to write on my own

it changes—it’s currently valdangelo, but the ones I’ve written the most over the years are: prinxiety (😐), lawrusso, caswen, and valdangelo. i’m excited to explore a bunch of other ships as i continue writing as well

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

oh gosh, i mean i hope i don’t have any like longfics in question…i hope i can finish + deliver on Ivory Rain, but i’m sure I’ll manage even if it takes a while. i haven’t really mentioned this a whole lot to “the public” but i have what i call a “scrap fic” i’m working on, with a bunch of like 800 word chapters i just kinda bounce around when i have time. the concept is really exciting but the execution still needs work, so i’m kinda seeing how that’s gonna play out, it might not be posted. i hope it will though !

i think i’m pretty good at characterization, good romantic moments with good buildup, and humor :-)

19. First fandom you wrote for?

actually i think percy jackson, i’ve come full circle. the first fic i posted was sanders sides, but i remember when i was probably nine or so i wrote with pencil and paper and stapled a book together with a hand drawn cover 😭 it was about a son of Apollo, a satyr, and a daughter of Demeter on a quest…so really, richard took some creative liberties from my hand written fanfic i think 👀

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

like the ships, it changes—I love all my fics, it’s hard to explain how there’s little fractures of me at different points in my life at any given time in my works. no amount of over-explaining could make anyone understand how i express myself through my character’s emotions and desires and fears and journeys.

at the moment, my favorite fic is CE. it just got completed, myself and others are excited for the sequel. i think all my pjo works in particular are pretty good, and of course i tend to shy away from my older works because my writing…probably wasn’t as good. but that just means I’ve improved, so that’s good.

I was already surprised by it, as in the past few years my output shifted significantly for some unknown reason - I'm more prolific than I used to be, and what I turn out is rated higher. Also fics are more likely to take me ages to finish, mostly due to procrastination but the delay also seems to made them longer as I think of more things to add to the story. (Though some fics still write themselves in a day or two.)

about my writing . . .

I write a lot…a lot about my depiction of earth - 42 and characters on it (MJ, Ganke, Gwen, Felicia, and Peter). They might not all be to your liking or the way you would make them so before reading keep that in mind. Thank you, love!!

1. I COULD write “suggestive fanfics” its not likely. But due to certain circumstances, involving heavy nsfw would be too far especially since most of the characters I write about are my itty bitties

2. I WILL write about “dark topics” such as - s/h | bullying | mental health | ED (eating disorder).

3. I WILL write fics involving neurodivergent readers (if i decide to do readers.) to be more inclusive all while indirectly sharing my own experiences.

What to write weekend...?

Another standard weekend this weekend. It's Friday afternoon, start of my weekend (except I have to go out and do social stuff tonight)... Also the adult responsibilities still beckon...

Introduction to 🦋

So, I’m the last of the admins for the Twisted Book Club. University life has a chokehold on me recently, but here I am. I’m Cressa and I’m the oldest of the trio—I won’t specify my age. You can call me C or Cress for short! My pronouns are she/her and they/them, but I don’t really mind whatever pronouns you use to refer to me.

I’ve been playing TWST since July, which makes me the admin with the shortest time possible in the fandom. Funny enough, I started playing the game after my birthday. I missed a shot at getting a birthday greeting right off the bat (*insert the pepe crying emote*). I like all the characters in TWST—Sebek included because I just know that boy annoyed a lot of people in the fandom—because of how well-written and in-depth they are. Although, my favorites are Floyd and Malleus. This doesn’t help me at all when my gacha luck is rotten and I’m strictly free-to-play.

I’m okay with writing any genre there is: fluffy, angst, comedy, and a mix of everything else. I usually try to make something original with cliché tropes and other prompts, too. Although, I draw the line at NSFW because I can’t write it and I’m uncomfortable writing it. Like I mentioned before, I’m a university student in a pre-medical program. This means that I’m usually busy, but I try to post something on Saturdays and Sundays whenever I can. My timezone is GMT +8, but I try to follow the CMT timezone just like this page.

With that out of the way, here are some fun facts about me!

Like any other tween in the 2010s, I wrote in Wattpad first. I had a oneshots book that somehow became popular, but I’d rather not go back to it. I dropped Wattpad years ago.

I know four languages, but I could only speak two fluently. I was trying to learn Korean before, but I stopped due to procrastination. I can only read the hangeul characters at this point. The other one? I understood it, but with how off it sounds in my voice, I barely speak it.

I’ve been reading books since I was a kid, and I mostly read fantasy. The only YA novel I genuinely reread is The Hunger Games. I’ll never get tired of it (and I’m Team Peeta all the way even if I’m okay with the idea of Katniss staying single in the end, too).

I’ve played a lot of games that I can’t even list them all here, but I did play Persona 5 Royal, Sonic Mania, Tekken 7, Kingdom Hearts 3, the Ace Attorney trilogy, and more!

Look, I’ve been dipping my toes in a pool of fandoms for years, and I can’t even tell you all of them because I lost track. I’m in the TWST fandom and I’m into anime, games, and a whole lot more. At this point, I’m just a multi-fandom anon who hasn’t taken that plunge yet.

I’ve been writing since I was 10 years old, and I’d like to think that I improved a lot as the years went by.
