Mr. Gap as Your Portable BF!

Welp, the people wanted Mr. Gap so I give Mr. Gap HCs (I’ll do Mr. Silvair another time, maybe this Friday or smth), I’m gonna do both a switch of MC and Mr. Gap in the Otherworld and maybe do some sorta twist towards the end like the Blissful Love Life ending from Mr. Crawling’s route except Mr. Gap became a stowaway fbejbfjsndjbsd

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap being the fucking prankster he is, always doing the 'funny haha' because he thinks it hilarious just having a pair of organs for literally no reason. It gets hella annoying at times but HEY! He can be pretty helpful at times.

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap is a bit of a braggart I mean like— the guy literally showed you a little newspaper clipping with his face in the photo and just dipped without another explanation.

⭑.ᐟ — Because Mr. Gap’s pretty much able to go wherever he pleases since he’s popping outta nowhere from the holes in the wall, a box, and literally anything that has a gap in it. So he’s got an eye on you at all times even when you least expect it, mostly just watching from places that’s out of your view.

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap probably doesn’t like Mr. Scarletella much, the guy’s pretty weird anyhow for actively tracking you in the Ghost Apartments, so he may give a hand every now and then whenever you run into him. If you’re ever near any places with a hole in the wall or a vent of course.

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap the first time he’s getting any affection whether they’re like small kisses, head pats, or you try to hug him, he would be a little against them at first tbh. Then he’d disappear for some time then and the next time he shows up he’s asking for kisses or whatever. Major cat behaviour stuff.

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap probably appears under the covers whenever you’re dead asleep just to leech off of your warmth, by the time you’re waking up he’s already gone.

⭑.ᐟ — It’s somewhat better than Mr. Gap asking if he could take your fingers, your heart, or any of your body parts, but don’t think he’s gonna stop asking for those.

⭑.ᐟ — Your whole relationship with Mr. Gap at first is kind of questionable at best, there’s sort of a love hate thing going on your end but Mr. Gap doesn’t hold anything against you, he just finds you interesting and fun to tease sometimes.

⭑.ᐟ — Now imagine Blissful Love Life from Mr. Crawling’s route except Mr. Gap decided to tag along unbeknownst to you, you later got a jumpscare from Mr. Gap appearing in a drawer.

⭑.ᐟ — This man’s making an absolute ruckus around in your house, making you go on the wildest goose chase for any of your belongings, it’s even more difficult and annoying whenever Mr. Gap takes something the morning as you’re getting ready to go to work. He doesn’t want you to leave, he wants you to stay. Fuck your job even, those people don’t treat you right anyways. >:(

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap absolutely DETESTS getting bathed, the first time trying to get him to clean up was unsuccessful as he holed himself up somewhere in the walls of your home. He didn’t show up for a day until his mood was less grouchy.

⭑.ᐟ — Mr. Gap goes against whatever you tell him to, mostly. But he will listen if you’re that firm about it. He’s DEFINITELY not listening whenever you tell him to stay at home, but it’s too boring at home just staying there with Mr. Crawling! He’ll just tag along with you to work anyways.

⭑.ᐟ — Since your boyfriend (??) is also portable, you can have him chilling in your bag while you go about your day, a nice bonus being he can keep whatever pickpockets or thieves from stealing your things. And nobody would want to touch your bag unless they want to get bitten or lose a finger or their whole hand.

⭑.ᐟ — Your bag is basically a black hole now with Mr. Gap in it, he’ll give you whatever things you’re trying to look for but also keep them from you until you give him a kiss. If you don’t, it’s bye-bye to your wallet/phone for now.

Are you named after anyone?

“Not that I'm aware of. My parents just really liked the name Alexia. And honestly, I can't blame them! It's a good name. I mean, there are so many variants on the name Alexander. Like I could've gotten Alexandra but that seems a little...I dunno, much? Much. Alexis doesn't...feel right. For me, like, I think Alexandra and Alexis are fine names for people who aren't me. Regardless, I definitely prefer the name Lexi. Alexia feels a little awkward to be called on, like, a regular basis. Again, for me. I'm rambling. The point is, no, I don't think I'm named after anyone.”

When was the last time you cried?

“This morning. I couldn't find my pink pen. Yeah, I know it seems stupid and immature to cry over a pen, but, like, it wasn't like I was upset that my pen was missing, it was the fact that I was stressed over losing it because my pink pen is used to color-code my English assignments. And there's a lot of English assignments, y'know?”

Do you have kids?

“I am in middle school. Middle. Schoooool. Who's even thinking about romance? That'll come with time. Like, high school. And kids much later. Like, after college. I don't have to worry about that right now.”

“My eyes are brown. Not much to say about them. They're pretty dark brown. My sister has bright blue eyes that really standout against her skin and hair. I'm not jealous, actually, it's just an observation. I happen to like my dark eyes!”

“Happy endings, of course! I love a good happy ending. I mean, sad endings make me sad. Scary movies can have happy endings, I guess. This is a strange question haha. But happy endings.”

“Well, I am first chair, first violin in my orchestra class! I think I'm a good leader. Usually take the lead on group projects. Um...oh, duh, I play the violin. “I don't actually play sports. There'd be a few issues to convince those in charge, anyways, to get me a different uniform. I have haphephobia - I don't like people touching me - and the more skin I show the higher the risk and my anxiety goes up more. So for now, no, we don't want to deal with that. I ride my bike sometimes. If I were to play a sport, it would be either volleyball or tennis, and definitely cheerleading - those girls are so nice!”

“I am 5'1, meaning I'm about average for my age!”

“Oh! English! I like learning new words - I always have. Phonics may have been my favorite in elementary school! We don't do that a lot anymore, but we still learn a lot more about language. Also, may be biased because all my friends are in my class this year. Well, not all of them. Three of them. Mr. Flanagan also let us choose our groups at the beginning of the year, so I'm always with them!”

When did you start writing?

really depends on the definition of writing, but i've been writing stories in notebooks from the moment i actually learned to write. the first one i remember was about a friend group of dogs going on adventures lol. it was nine notebooks long and my poor teacher was too nice to say no so he had to read it all.

Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?

I enjoy historical fiction but I don't have the patience for the research it'd require so I won't write it. uhm. idk I read various genres but I basically only write fluffy fic so :'D i do have a fantasy project in finnish but i haven't touched it in years, so idk if it counts.

Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?

no. I love reading different styles, and I've learned a lot from just reading authors who have very different ways of saying what they want to say. but I don't want to emulate any of them. I will do what feels organic to me.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

usually on my couch in front of the tv with the laptop on my lap lol. I don't really write by hand or on my phone unless it's a random idea I need to jot down quick and I'm not on my laptop then. the tv is always on, i need the background noise.

What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?

lmao well that is the million dollar question, isn't it. usually going for a walk with the dog or on a longer car ride alone helps, it forces me to spin things in my brain bc there's nothing else to do. (but it can also backfire and I spiral into never wanting to write again lol) inspiration strikes at very random moments tbh. i haven't yet found much rhyme or reason in that.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

at the core, it's always about love and acceptance, learning to receive it, or craving it and not getting it. self-worth. loneliness. finding your support system. idk in general I am happy with my life but I do get lonely often and it shows, because if I can't get a good cuddle from someone who loves me then damnit the character i'm writing about sure as hell will get it! :'D

What is your reason for writing?

there are stories inside of me that need a way out.

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

uhm. I want them to feel the feelings i'm trying to get across with my words. connect with the characters. and enjoy the story I want to tell.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

characterization and dialogue. soft moments where people connect. pacing, usually. hm.

How do you feel about your own writing?

i don't care how selfish this sounds lmao they're the stories i want to read and i love them. simple as that. i give me exactly what i want :'D

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?

so this is my biggest weakness when it comes to writing because i can not write only for myself. i can't be a "desk drawer writer" (like the saying goes in finnish lol). that is precisely why I haven't made any progress with my fantasy trilogy (lol) in finnish in years and years, because no one i know wants to read it (fantasy is not their genre, no shade to them). i need an audience, even if it's just one person! but at the same time i am not willing to budge on what i think makes a good story lol. so in a way i do write what makes me happy but to find the motivation to finish things i'd also need to find someone who gives a crap.

but anyway.

I might be literally the only person thinking like this, but I love the way Finn & Rey and Lucy & Maximus sorta mirror each other

Finn and Maximus are “soldiers” who leave the organization with a strict hierarchy they grew up in and immediately team up with an unhinged woman who’s lived a completely different life than them

But where Finn was a human but raised in a dehumanizing way, I personally abide by the theory that Maximus is gonna turn out to be a synth raised as a human

Rey and Lucy are unhinged in different ways, and each are suddenly thrust into a new way of living with a man who defected from his organization, and each gain an enemy that’s connected to their family

But Lucy goes from living in a community to scavenging, and Rey started scavenging and starts living in a community

I love it, and I need fics of Finn and Maximus struggling with going from living as soldiers to traveling with someone who has no idea why they’re acting like that, while they also have no idea why their companion acts like that

DarkSides Family AU - Uncle Roman

So, someone in the tags wanted me to add Uncle Roman content. Yes, I saw that. I always read the tags. Y'all make me smile.

Features some side mention of Patton, Emile, and Logan as well. But mostly about Uncle Roman.

OH, and trigger/content warning: mention of past child abuse (be careful y'all, not very descriptive tho), mention of sexual organ (it's Remus being Remus)

It's a few months after Virgil is officially adopted that he meets Roman

Remus has mentioned a twin brother a few times before, saying how he's always busy as a Broadway actor & occasional playwright, so not surprising that it takes so long to actually meet him

There's also the point of Virgil not being comfortable enough to meet him until months later anyway, so it panned out well in that case

Plus, Virgil's only other interaction with an 'uncle' was from his birth family and that went horribly (the uncle got thrown into jail, thank god) (dumb little uncle man, evil b*tch)

Anyway, though Virgil knows his current family is NOTHING like his birth family, he still feels anxious about meeting Roman

Both parents decide to take a day off from work (Janus has no urgent case, though he'd easily drop one for his spouse and son) and drive almost an hour to visit Roman

Roman has a break between plays, and invites them over cause he really wants to meet his nephew (like omg, his twin has a SON, omg I want to meet him)

It'd been Virgil who mentioned wanting to meet Roman, after Remus mentioned him inviting them all over for a day, and they all agreed to go together

So yeah, the drive up felt a little anxious for their son, but they distracted him by playing his fav music CD on the radio thing

They also were making fun of a particularly dumb plaintiff from a past case and Virgil couldn't help but snicker at the dumb-dumb's ignorance to basic laws

Like Janus says something like "Literally one of my easiest cases, they were so f*cking dumb." And of course, Remus cackles at that and Virgil snorts

And yeah, they help ease Virgil's worries (they already know a good portion of what his birth family did to him cause it was in his case file, and God did they want to kill them and Virgil's so-called uncle, that perverted bastard)

Side Note: Roman lives alone with a German Shepard dog named Liv (she is very cute and a cuddle-bug and actually pretty good around kids)

Anyway, Virgil's nerves slowly trickle back in as they pull up to this kinda bigger fancy house Roman lives in (what, is he rich or something?? Like wtf, it looks so dramatic for a house)

Remus and Janus take notice as they all exit the car, and they pull their son aside and tell him that they can leave at any time if he needs them to, like you're more important, okay? We love you and want to keep you safe, and although Roman IS safe, we'll go if you feel uncomfy around him (which makes Virgil want to cry cause he's still getting used to being cared for so he just settles for a nod instead, not trusting his own voice)

Janus hooks a finger with Virgil, keeping a firm hold so he knows he's there as a way to reassure his son

Remus goes up to the door, doesn't even knock, and just yells "HEY MF, OPEN THE DOOR B*TCH." which Virgil finds amusing as Janus sighs (in a fond way, of course)

Roman appears as he opens the door, an annoyed look there for a brief second before caving in and hugging his twin, saying a "Nice to see you too, you gremlin of a sibling."

Yeah, they're definitely siblings

And Virgil can see how they're twins, though appearances were a little different: Roman had no facial hair but they both shared brown curls and a wonder-filled gleam in their eyes and though Remus had a streak of white, Roman and them shared almost the same face shape (honestly, they probably pulled very believable twin pranks as kids, seeing as how similar they looked and seemed)

Roman's smile was warm, unlike Virgil's jailed birth uncle, and that put a little ease for the anxious boyo

As Janus and Virgil came up the steps, Roman let go of his sibling and greeted them two

He gave Janus a welcoming pat on the shoulder and asked him how things were going

Then Janus put calming hands on Virgil's shoulders and introduced him to Roman, which went like "Roman, this is our son, Virgil. Your nephew." And Virgil kind stood there awkwardly and gave the smallest wave hi

Roman's eyes lit up as soon as he saw the kid, excited to finally get to meet him, and gave a big grin and welcomed him

After a few minutes of basic catching up, they all went into Roman's house, and Virgil decided that this guy was definitely wealthy to some degree bc who tf has a like a million broom closets under their stairs?? Like why is there so many-

They all migrate to the living room and chill on the couches (yes plural, who owns this many couches?), and continue chatting

Roman sits on one of them alongside his twin, and Virgil sits on a different one near a corner by Janus (Janus is now holding Virgil's pointer finger in his own and Virgil appreciates the small gesture)

After a little bit, Janus decides to mention their son's school accomplishments like the proud dad he is

Like "Yeah, Virgil here has an A in algebra. He's very smart." Or even a "he likes art, and he's really good with comic stuff." and Virgil kinda blushes slightly in embarrassment at each compliment and cause of the attention on him

And yus, Remus joins in boasting about their son like "yes my son is very artistic and cool." And also like "he knows many things, and I taught him how to deck a b*tch if they ever get too close."

Side Note: at some point, after that whole bully situation (mentioned in the first post), Janus & Remus taught Virgil self-defense n sh*t

Roman makes a joke about him being a nerd and that he knows more than one now, which kinda makes Virgil uncomfy slightly, but Remus notices and shoots a quick glare at their brother like "stop that sh*t before I pummel you into a dickless form of agony" and Roman understands (kind of?) idk, he stops with the nerd jokes after that

Roman mutters a "sorry kid" and mentions how he knows someone that is very smart like that, like with math and stuff; thus he tells Virgil about his friend Logan who is an inspiring astronomer but currently works as a teacher at a high school, and how Logan was also smart even as a kid, and Remus laughs and is like "oh yeah, I picked on him all the time, that little smartass." And Roman kinda is like "lmao we both did, idk how he managed to tolerate us." And Janus silently knows the answer to that cause it's the same reason he himself married Remus and stayed friends with Roman: all thanks to love cause you just can't help but love the two chaotic twins

Side Note: Logan is a single dad to a pair of siblings, Patton and Emile, who were about a year apart in age but were a little younger than Virgil was, and he does his best as a single parent and his kids seem to love him all the same; Logan doesn't yearn for a partner, he's literally aro/ace, but sometimes he wishes for a co-parent or help now and then

Anyway, Virgil feels better at the mention of someone smart like him and the good memories the twins share, seeing the twins share memories and laugh with each other makes him smile a little bit

Some time passes and it's almost dinner time, so Roman offers to order pizza or something cause he was gonna have pizza anyway, and then three are like "yeah sure, why not" (Virgil is okay with staying a little longer since Roman has been pretty nice so far; plus free pizza)

Yeah, and as pizza is being delivered to Roman's place, Remus gets up to go piss or something, leaving Janus and Virgil with Roman

But then Janus gets a call from work and needs to step out for a sec, and looking to Virgil he says "I need to take this, are you gonna be okay with Roman for a few minutes, darling? I can always wait until Rem gets back." But Virgil shakes his head no and says it's fine, it's only a few minutes and Janus hesitates but is like "okay, but pls hollar if you need us, okay?" And Vi is like "okay" and Janus leaves to step outside and takes the phone call

Virgil didn't miss the grumbling Janus made before picking up the phone and going outside (he muttered something about "istg someone better be dying, this is my day off, like just let me be, b*tch")

And now Virgil half-regrets doing that cause he's in a room alone with an adult he doesn't know a whole lot and it almost feels similar to his birth uncle but not entirely cause at least Roman sits on the other side of the living room, at least there's that; you're fine Virgil, as long as he stays over there you're fine; and yeah, some anxiety starts to trickle in yet again

But then Roman does something Virgil doesn't expect, and says "I know you probably don't like being alone with someone you don't know, but I just wanna say that I'm glad I got to meet you and that I just want to make you feel comfy while you're here." which is surprising because hey, maybe he's not so bad, he's being kind at least

Virgil relaxes a little at that but not by much, and Roman notices so he gets an idea, and he whistles

Virgil is very confused until he sees a dog walking in, wagging her tail

Virgil's eyes light up at the sight of a cute little doggo, and Roman is very glad he has Liv

"Her name's Liv, btw. She likes kids." Roman says, as Liv spots Virgil and walks to him and sniffs him

Liv rubs her head against Virgil's hand so he pets her, and he does pet her and lets out a small giggle at the dog cause he f*cking loves dogs

And of course Roman is like "omg my nephew is adorable, I love him already, kskwsidks" with a little side thought of "God damnit, I sound like little Patton lmao"

And yeah, Virgil eases up a lot with Liv around him, and Liv decided to lay down with Virgil and cuddles him (which makes Virgil laugh again cause yus doggo is cuddling, so cute, yus, she is a good pupper, omg yusss)

Roman is glad to know Liv calms Virgil's nerves down (maybe Virgil would do good with an ESA?)

After a few minutes, Remus returns to see the cute scene of Virgil smiling at a cuddly dog and Roman chatting idly with his nephew (though Virgil only gives small answers here and there)

Remus is happy to see their son relaxed and comfy around their brother

Janus' call goes for a little bit longer than he originally thought, and it kinda irritates him cause he just wants to see if Virgil is doing okay with Roman or not, but this mf on the other end won't shut up like omg no one cares, Janus isn't gonna take a case on his day off, f*ck that sh*t

After his phone call, he goes back into the living to see Remus sitting with Liv and Virgil, a content aura in the room as the twins chat away again and Virgil chimes in a few times as well

That makes him smile and his foul mood is nearly gone

But he still just wants his partner so he plops down next to Remus and immediately leans his head against him

Remus understands and combs a gentle hand through the attorney's hair, getting a content hum from their husband

Yeah and the visit goes good from there and they have pizza and a good time

When they leave after dinner, Virgil feels a little sad saying goodbye to Liv but also to Roman, cause Romans turned out to be okay and generally safe

As they all say goodbye n stuff, Virgil surprises them (even himself) and gives Roman a quick little hug before heading to the car

And Roman kinda cries cause Remus and Janus mentioned Virgil not being touchy but he was okay with giving his uncle a quick hug, so yeah now Roman is crying cause that means Virgil feels safe with him on some level

Remus teases him like "bro you're so dramatic lmao" and Roman is like "f*ck off, he's so awesome, I love him already, he hugged me omg" and yeah Roman is a sensitive boi

Eventually the fam leaves and while in the car, Virgil blurts something out about liking Liv and that "eh, Roman was alright ig" even though they all know Virgil was okay with Roman and was just putting up a little front cause he be like that (blame trauma and trust issues, I'm going to murder that damn evil birth uncle of his, istg, cue author rage)

Side Note: Roman is still geeking out over his nephew cause he loves him so much, even well after they all left

The Vast and Alone are definitely my biggest Fears. The bugs and disease are a normal amount "This could harm me" fears for me, the Meat is just... odd. The Not!Copiers are kinda freaky but cool, but honestly I live with those and the watched feeling all the time as is. It might have gotten me once upon a time, but now im pretty resigned to the fact that my senses are just not super reliable. The longer ive lived without any real harm coming to me from the dark has made it just... statistically less threatening I guess. But the fucking Vast...

Anyways. I recognize the name Simon Fairchild, but I cant say if its from am earlier listen, a relation to an actual historical figure, or simply that brief period where I fell down the Cassandra Clare rabbit hole

domo day/my birthday: oh my god. OHHHH my god. literally the fic that brought me back to this fandom. i am not crying its fine im FINE. domo - aka dancing on my own - was a passion project from the very start. i thought, 'well, no one will wanna read this niche lil fic that im writing just to deal with My very personal trauma about an rpf ship that no one cares about.' (mind you i started it before i even posted right side, so, like, i literally thought it was just me standing on a deserted island.) and then five or six months later... there we were. i posted it on my birthday (bc i Live for drama !) and god. the amount of love and support i got that day was... everything to me. when i said this was a passion project, i mean that it was truly one of the first things i sat down and wrote For Myself, without giving a fuck what anyone else would think. it was something i poured my heart and soul into because i needed to read it. and when other people started to reach out - telling me how much they related, how much they got from it, how much it meant to them. then there was the analyses of it from everyone,,,, not to mention the birthday love. my birthday is a HUGE thing for me, and, as i told you at the time, you were the very first person to wish me a happy birthday stella (with that incredible moodboard that i think of frequently........ the rat.........). and then kit went and published bad idea and gifted it to ME which was such an incredible and treasured gesture and... truly some of my irls forgot to wish me a happy birthday so. im just so honored and i love you all so much. thank you for loving me and my dearest darling daughter domo <333333

shaynse day: this literally isn't even about me, it's honestly about nat, but this changed my brain chemistry and i think everybody's tbh. it was the way that the MOMENT the love is blind video dropped, we all gathered around my blog to hold hands, sing kumbaya, and all hail the shaynse anon (aka now shaynse founder nat). they had their third eye OPEN. and everyone had to come check on them to make sure they were okay. that meant so much to me. not only did it mean that enough people were reading my blog that an anon had their own niche subset of a fan base, but it was truly like. one of the best displays of fandom togetherness i've ever seen. we were all so united that day. god bless november 19th, aka shaynse day, my FAVORITE national holiday.

gedits: i really Dont think i have to explain this one. this is one of my favorite bits (but also its not really a bit and i genuinely wanna fuck that old man). making thirst traps for garrett? oh my god. stroke of actual genius. once again another day we all came together, held hands, and decided we were ALL gonna be garrett fuckers. long live gedits. they will never stop and im NOT sorry about it.

the bsf fan art: i have literally never had fan art made for my fic before...... i screamed and cried and threw up when someone made fan art for the bed-sharing fic. furry-jackson is my hero and this fan art lives in my mind RENT FUCKING FREE. it truly imprinted itself on my brain and i think about it all the time. thanks so much to them for loving i could be the reason as much as i do <3333

Weekend Update - 01/07/2024

Nerdie! Happy New Year! How was your first week of 2024?

….I could have used more sleep, but it wasn’t horrible. Just okay overall. There were a few high points. I'm getting organized in life and in fanfiction.

Don't abuse The Way like that. It's to be respected! But that did earn a giggle. Anyway...

1. The New Year began with all the Pickled Peñas! The @pickled-pena challenge fics were posted on 01/01 but by using the tag: trickle pickle you can still write a Pickled Peña fic if you so choose until January 31st. All Pickle Peña fics are listed here.

2. I finished my Space smut with feelings series Sard’ika Sessions. 🥰 You never forget your first series. It’s quite special, I feel I represented Din well and bent The Creed but didn’t remove any helmets prematurely. I put in all the feelings I wanted (because smut can have feelings too!) And Din saying the things that I giggled and squealed as I wrote them. 😘 This is The Way. Din had his way, all the ways. 🥰

3. Working on WIPs via the WIP Tag/Ask game which @trulybetty got me into. I thank her for including me. I may need to work on some of those titles.

When I turn my brain off after coming home. I note different ideas or vibes I had. Sometimes there's bullet points, sentences or just a few words and a description. @tinytinymenace also has this same issue.

Well, there are three people to thank for plunge into the York Pit. The first, is @goodwithcheese with her asks to be about Dave which lead me to write 3-4 paragraphs to each ask. Also her end of the year confessional. Which is hilarious because apparently the way I misspelled someone’s name (I won’t say who, I feel embarrassed about it still 😣) was specific to me. It should also be noted, that maybe one of the two people I’ll mention next reblogged it saying they may know who it is and to DM them. So subtle, and I laughed because my reaction was, “How did they know?!” 🤣 The person who pointed out the spelling error was @for-a-longlongtime who should be a PI 🕵️ and had encouraged me to start writing the Dave cat-mouse fic. As for the reblog, that was the sweet @legendary-pink-dot who I’m not sure if it was my spelling mistake or the way I write. Special mention goes to @ramblers-lets-get-ramblin for her recent Dave York fic Inamorata

If you want to learn about physics, keeping track of where body parts are and tantalizing smut you read Adi’s Nothing that I Didn’t Know she’s going to have more and we’re going to need all the hydration. Dot ran the Catfish Pond PhD Degree program in 2023. She knows our dear Frankie “Catfish” Morales exceptionally well, every curl and freckle I’m pretty sure. Both very smart and eagle- eyed ladies. 👀

hey guys, it’s been a minute! I’m whimsy-of-the-stars, and since my main projects have kinda shifted around, I thought it would be a good time to update my intro! ngl it’s a pretty inopportune time to do a re-intro, since I’m close to the end of one draft and planning two more… it’s just overdue!

some info about me:

I’m gonna start college in the fall majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing! :D

learning languages is a passion of mine! I’m focusing on Spanish right now but I’ve dabbled in both Esperanto and Toki Pona (yeah I’m a nerd!)

I’m a video essay enjoyer and possibly maker, eventually

fiction podcasts and actual plays slap???

I have “I want to do too many things” disease and want to try making stories in many different mediums!

ttrpgs are really cool but I have yet to play them with other people! does that stop me from trying to make games… no

I am in a weird stage with a lot of my wips, but a re-intro was overdue so I decided to do it anyway!

wips I am currently writing:

apocalypse story!

status: first draft, 24k (almost done with part 1)

the basics: mg/ya apocalyptic + queer ?coming of age? story and its sequel, except they’re both short so they’re melded into one two-part book! it’s told thru diary entries with lots of extra ephemera glued in! part 1 of 2 is ALMOST done but I’m not inspired to finish it rn! ! I’m not gonna continue with part 2 right after, though, since I still need to plan it!

summary: stressed-out eighth/grader Allison goes to her old hideout in the forest to decompress, but one thing leads to another and she can’t find her way back home. the forest is seemingly ever-expanding, ever-changing, and even when she finds her friends who’ve come to rescue her, they still have to face the actual, real life botanical apocalypse that’s becoming more and more of an issue for the outside world. can they find their way home alive and well? and if they do get home, what will their home city even look like?

extras: fun fact I started this in April 2023 for camp nano and it has taken me this long to write the next 10k words! Also the main character is a bit of a self-insert, but of the person I was in lockdown in 2020!

heist story!

the basics: ya fantasy heist novel (maybe eventually a trilogy?) set in a faerie world that rapidly advanced not too long ago into a dieselpunk/decopunk society rife with corruption and crime!

summary: Logical and inquisitive teen Calliope is relatively normal. Her offbeat parents, however, have raised her in a house full of strange curios and old tomes of faery stories. But only when she starts to exhibit unwieldy shadow magic, and her parents invite a prim woman she’s never met before into their home do things really start to get strange. The woman whisks Calliope away through one of the aforementioned curios to a noir hubworld where ancient faerie bloodlines and newfangled magitech collide. Why? To take part in a high-stakes heist with a surprising trio of other teens who want nothing more than to take down the crime boss who runs their town.

extras: this one’s a weird one imo. it’s one of the oldest wips that I am still working on, tho this one had a break of about 3 years!!! also I originally wrote it in hot pink comic sans XD

new superhero story!

(I am also revitalizing this one, but it’s in a way less put-together state! not much to say yet lol!) (also it’s not very new I just call it that)

it’s a ya superhero thing that features teenage (often queer) antiheroes trying to balance their heroic + civilian identities!

featuring: the shittiest entertainment/hero management company you’ve ever seen, shared trauma, gray morality, two different rock bands, and heroes that are at once government agents, influencers, and corporate concoctions!

considering making a “help me name my characters” post because i desperately have to name/rename like 3/4 of all of these characters!!!

I wrote fanfiction on again, then off again, for years, since I first picked it up at the fresh age of ten.

I was never a people person, nor did life make me a public figure, thank goodness. I'm not made for the spotlight, so I didn't see a point in blogging here myself. Anyway. I wanna do it now. Buckle up.

My name: the IRL one is so lame that I won't tell you. Call me psy, luna, or psyluna, as you wish. It fits me better.

My age: I was born in 1995, just so that I don't have to update this yearly.

Pronouns: I go by she/her. Gender is a myth. So is being internet famous.

My home country: I hail from not-so-distant, not-so-unknown Brazil.

Languages I speak: English is my second language (Portuguese is my first), and as per local standards, I can speak and write in English quite well. Before you ask, I write fanfiction in Portuguese and translate later, for reasons I'll disclose if anyone asks. I had basic Spanish in school and can still read/listen to it okay, can't write/speak it anymore. Japanese is my hobby language of choice. I plan on becoming more proficient if everything goes right.

My writing: it was always my favorite way to express myself. It's how I organize my thoughts and communicate with the world. Consequently, I wrote lots and lots all my life, even if not fanfiction, just personal vents. I got better in speaking out loud as I became more confident, less self-loathing, and ran out of fucks to give.

Should you talk to me: I enjoy chatting more than I enjoy people. It's not that I don't like people… Okay, let's not lie here. People are troublesome, even myself. I'll willingly talk to people who talk to me, and even start conversations at times, but getting attached and forming bonds isn't a default expectation. That said, if you wanna talk to me, please do.

Miscellaneous: I was somewhat raised by the 2000s internet. Meaning, I was there for a lot of memes and chaos, too. I miss some things and not others.

You won't see me engage with drama and discourse a lot. I keep many personal opinions private or restricted to close friends, as one should separate personal life from public life. To be honest, no one cares much what I think (again, thank goodness). Won't ever bother putting up a DNI list.

I usually follow back. If your blog is blank (as in you don't reblog anything), I might follow back if I know who you are.

Among other artsy things I like doing: drawing (not too well), singing (okay to well), playing a few instruments (okayish), typesetting (pretty well, actually). If cooking counts, then cooking.

My fandoms: I've been obsessed with lots of things along the years. For every phase, I bookmarked lots of fanart and wrote a bit of fic. My interests come and go. They're mostly anime/animated series and video games. I'm also a “mild kpopper” and a dormant rock/metal enthusiast.

My favorite characters: too many to count. They mostly fit the “well-meaning but kind of a jerk” archetype. They don't have to be morally gray, but can be. I don't vibe with stupid characters a lot. My favorite works of fiction are a bit or very tragic. I love bishounen/bishoujo in character design. My ships are based on if I like the chemistry, not much on the characters' genders.

As for my writing strengths: I'm good at putting one word in front of another and finding mistakes. That's the gist of it. Many writers struggle with low productivity and procrastination, and that isn't my curse, fortunately. I can work with a preexisting idea and propose solutions, maybe even add a thing or two. I'm also very critical of things and quick at noticing patterns.

As for my writing weaknesses: I don't think my ideas are too innovative, and while that doesn't matter a lot in the bigger picture, it makes me a little sad. I recycle ideas and themes a lot and hope no one notices. Whenever I'm forced to create, instead of working with preexisting things, I go ughhhh. I used to joke about how I had one idea worth writing every six months. It's been different these days, and I took notes of all nice ideas I've been having, but it's pretty recent. I'm also bad with prompts I don't click with.

The rest like prose, characterization, style, etc. is up for debate, and to some degree, a matter of personal taste. I like to think I can adapt to the needs of whatever I'm writing.

Do you write original fiction? Yes! I'm just not very far into them. I won't disclose much about it, though. Not now, at least. Some are more slice-of-lifey, others are more fantasy-like.

Full Episode Commentary

2x10: The Sacrifice

Because they're witches that don't require an invitation, Jonas breaks into Elena's home to gather for spells. The noise wakes Elena. When she goes to check out the cause of the noise, she runs into Alaric in his boxers. So awkward. While she talks to Alaric and Jenna, Jonas takes her cheerleader photo.... the girl Elena refers to in 3x11. She's not that girl anymore, but she's still holding onto her. If this were my room, I'd notice that photo missing. I'm too OCD not to notice.

Damon and Stefan head down to the tomb to see Katherine together. It's beautiful the way they cut scene. The episode ends opposite the open, so you can already see the end of the episode. Is it a wonder Bonnie seals Elena in her house opposite Katherine in the tomb?

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the two of you." Elena is already planning to sacrifice herself. This is a knife pointed at both ends. It doesn't matter who dies, that knife is gonna hurt. I consider Elena's sacrifice both selfless and selfish. She lost both her parents, dates a vampire because it feels safe to love someone that has an eternal life, but loss is part of life. They spend so much time focused on Elena's desire not to lose her loved ones because she already lost her parents, but they spend no time at all on Elena considering the hole she'll leave behind when she dies.

"New-ish. I still have some growing pains." Bonnie is talking to Luka. I'm so annoyed with him and his father it's not even funny. Anyway, her comment is Elena's title for 4x1. "It's 'cause you're trying to do too much on your own. You need help." The concept of joining forces, of putting their energy together to double their strength. What they refer to as channeling. Stefan prefers to protect, Damon prefers an equal partner. Elena prefers doing everything on her own, so she plans to self-sacrifice. "Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the two of you." She doesn't want them to de-spell the moonstone.

Damon and Elena are written alongside Luka and Bonnie. Luka and Bonnie channel each other. They're doing this very pretty thing with the Fall leaves. Now Jeremy is starting to act jealous lol. He's not wrong, though. If I were a witch, I'd be suspicious of a witch dropping in my life like Luka did with Bonnie. Luka forgot to get his dog tags back from her, so she's gonna end up using them to channel him. It's a nice thing when you consider Delena and the vervain necklace.

Rose is so beautifully awkward in this scene. She knows Damon's in love with Elena. This is like Lexi and her towel moment. Purple is a great color for supernaturals, especially witches. Does Elena really think Rose isn't gonna inform Damon of her plan to self-sacrifice? Apparently so… she's turning to Rose for help to do just that. Elena offers Rose a daylight ring just as Damon offered Slater. Great minds think alike.

Damon: You want to walk in the sun? I can make that happen if you help us. Elena: How would you like to be able to walk during the daylight?

I feel sorry for Matt. He has no idea why he started a fight with Tyler, and no one is being honest with him about it.

"I'm student council vice president, head of the prom committee, not to mention I single-handedly organized this town's clean up campaign. And you're really gonna turn down my help?"

Caroline never stops. The girl works like the Energizer bunny with every event they have. A team of four... Damon, Stefan, Jeremy, and Bonnie. None of them paying mind to where Elena and Rose went or what they're doing. They should know Elena by now. If she wasn't up to something herself, she'd be all up in it with them. She's not, so they have reason to fear. Rose is trying to get out of this, but Elena won't let her, so she forces the doors open and finds Slater dead on the floor.

"I used to just come here and watch the day." Rose is gorgeous, but her sunless existence is so depressing. She has that edgy look that I like. She finds Alice hiding in another room.

Bonnie does a spell on Katherine's photo, which is written parallel to Jonas doing a spell on Elena's. The ashes will incapacitate Katherine for a minute or two, which is perfect for vampire speed. Not so much for human speed. Tyler takes Caroline into the Lockwood cellar. She lies about how she knows of it. They find a diary Mason kept on his transformations. It includes an SD card that has video footage on it. Jeremy distracts Bonnie and grabs some of the ashes. This kid is a fool. He has no idea the amount of torture he could go through with Katherine. He actually thinks he's gonna get in, find the moonstone, and get out just in time. "Those tears are for her. She didn't care about Slater. She was only dating him long enough to see if he'd turn her." lol… Rose tells Elena everything she needs to know. She's gonna offer to have Rose turn her for the sake of getting into Slater's computer.

"So this whole charade is some suicide mission so that you could sacrifice yourself and save everyone else?" Elena can't honestly believe Rose is gonna stand by and let her get taken just so she can get killed by Damon. And it truly pisses me off that Elena doesn't give a single thought to fighting back, she's just gonna die. Jeremy stakes Katherine, pours the ashes on her, then goes searching through the tomb for the moonstone. He's such a dumbass. Katherine catches up to him and tears into his neck. Woman is starving, so I can't really blame her. He thinks fast enough to at least toss the moonstone out of the tomb so they can de-spell it. Rose calls Damon to tell him about Elena's plan to self-sacrifice, so he's on his way to Richmond. Stefan and Bonnie are in a bind now. Katherine can kill a human, but she can't kill a rock. All she has to do is take that Gilbert ring off and it's over for Jeremy. Problem is, Luka and Bonnie aren't gonna be strong enough to drop that seal because Luka is no Sheila Bennett lol. Stefan will have to get stuck in the tomb to save Jeremy because Damon has to go save Elena.

Elijah is having Luka's father do a locator spell on Elena. I can already see 3x22 from here. Just like the daylight ring, they doubled-up the tempered glass for Damon and Elena, that's why both plans fail.

Luka is starting to feel the physical effects of Bonnie channeling him. Tyler and Caroline start watching Mason's videos. Tyler flips out as he realizes Mason went through over 5 hours of torturous pain as he turned into a werewolf. This scene was a great performance for the actor. I love his storyline for a little while, but I lose interest fast.

Alice: Damon Salvatore! Damon: Get rid of her. Alice: No way!

lol... Damon is not in the mood for fangirls right now. He has Elena to deal with.

Damon: You do not get to make decisions anymore. Elena: When have I ever made a decision? You and Stefan do that for me.

This is a lie. She's been making the decisions all along. When he took her to Atlanta, it was her choice. When he took her to bait Noah, it was her choice. When he told her she couldn't help him save Stefan, he didn't stop her when she went into the house. Damon nearly died giving her the Gilbert device because she wanted it her way. She's lying to excuse her plan to self-sacrifice. She tells Damon she doesn't want to be saved. Elena has the right to choose to sacrifice herself, that is her decision to make. Damon has the right to choose to save Elena. That is his decision to make whether she likes it or not.

"Don't ever do that again." Elena has power over Damon, but she doesn't have full power over Damon. I feel that's how relationships should be, even friendships. Elena shouldn't have full power over Damon, and Damon shouldn't have full power over Elena. Damon isn't a lapdog like Stefan. What I'm saying is... while Damon won't allow Elena to punch her, Stefan will because he's a lapdog.

This is the concept of how Damon and Elena are written alongside Luka and Bonnie. The switching of the bracelet and the dog tags is the switching of the necklace and the daylight ring. The channeling of each other. This doesn't start to happen for Delena until season 3, but you get the idea beforehand.

"Ohhh, something's happening." So you get this scene cut as Bonnie channels Luka. This will help you to understand why Damon ends up with the vervain necklace and Elena ends up with a daylight ring. "Bonnie, no! You have to stop her, she's not strong enough!" They're basioally gonna build Elena to be Damon's equal in season 3. "Maybe she is."

Lukas: You told me to bond with her, so I bonded. Stefan: Because he can be very persuasive, and you two have bonded lately.

Bonnie is still channeling Lukas and his father is upset about it. You get the whole Delena bonding in season 1 which builds in season 3. Lukas and Bonnie collapse. "I'm not strong enough. Even with help, I can't do it." They're not strong enough even together… Delena will be your power couple, but it takes time to switch ships. Because Bonnie isn't strong enough, Stefan has to rush in to save Jeremy, so he ends up stuck in the tomb with Katherine. It's gonna get really hot in there lol. I really love what they do with Tyler and Caroline. He shouldn't have to go through his first transformation alone.

"I was alone when I turned. I had no control over my body or my urges. And I killed somebody. I don't want that to happen to you. I don't want you to be alone." I can understand why fans ship these two. I actually love them together for as long as they last, but I prefer Steroline more. It's so awkward to see Tyler, Matt, and Caroline at the doorway. Oy.

"Time to go. Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day." Damon is beyond annoyed right now and saying exactly how I feel. Elena is wasting time trying to die when she should be spending that time trying to live.

Three men enter as they're about to leave. "Tell him that we're trying to send a message to Klaus. The doppelgänger is alive and she's ready to surrender." These are the men that Alice contacted for Elena. Damon is ready to take on all three, and he would've had it been necessary. "There's nothing here for you."

Suppose I should mention the obvious. "I killed you. You were dead." It appears wooden stakes don't work on Originals.

Bonnie: I didn't have a choice, Jeremy! Jeremy: Yeah, well neither did I.

They're already starting to parallel Delena with Jeremy and Bonnie. Bonnie was putting herself at risk of death by agreeing to drop the vampire seal despite knowing it can kill her. Jeremy put himself at risk of death with Katherine for the sake of keeping Bonnie safe from doing the spell. This is exactly what happens with Damon and Elena. She's planning to die, to self-sacrifice. Damon will put himself at risk of death to keep Elena alive. Bonnie tells Jeremy he can't feel that way about her, but people can't help what they feel. That's why Damon will nearly die from a werewolf bite for the same reason Jeremy ran into the tomb to get the moonstone - to save the women they love because that's what love does.

Elena: She was just scared. She didn't mean to run. Damon: Yes, she did. She's been running for 500 years.

This Damon-Elena-Rose triangle is great to watch. Elena is better at reading Rose while Rose is better at reading Damon. She didn't mean to run, she was terrified of Elijah. I mean, Elijah just handed Rose her freedom. Being there with Damon and Elena, she was afraid about what that meant for her freedom, afraid Elijah would terminate their deal should he see it as a betrayal. So yeah, she ran.

"What you did today was incredibly stupid." Damon is still extremely upset. He was referring to her choice to self-sacrifice when he referred to it as a horribly stupid day. She not once considered the possibility of surviving, wouldn't even so much as agree to let them de-spell the moonstone. Elena tells him the only thing stupid was that she got caught, but like I said, did she really think Rose would let her get away with it? I mean, really... Damon would've killed Rose.

"I don't question why you and Stefan and everyone else tries so hard to save me. You shouldn't question why I would try to save all of you." Damon thinks the same way Stefan does. They've been around a long time. Elena is only 17 years old. Why she's worried about saving eternal beings is beyond me. She's denying everyone in her life a choice, tossing out the trust she should have in them, and more or less taking the easy way out. She lost both her parents and doesn't want to lose anyone else, so she's gonna make everyone else lose her.

They find out Stefan is sealed in the tomb with Katherine. I'm not sure what Elena thought she would accomplish by going into the tomb, but she's an idiot.

Elena: Stefan's in there, Damon! How could you let this happen?Damon: What are you talking about? I was too busy saving you from your crazy kamikaze mission.

Had Elena not went off on her suicide mission, Damon would've been there to keep Stefan from going into the tomb. He would've been the one to save Jeremy so that Elena had Stefan out there with her. This is on Elena.

Elena: You didn't even have to go after the moonstone in the first place! Damon: It was the right call, Elena.

It was the right call because Elijah has a witch. It wouldn't take much for his witch to pull down the seal and get to the moonstone. Better they de-spell it before anyone gets their hands on it.

Elena: The right call? How was any of this the right call?!

Elena is basically frustrated and ready to die because she sees no way out without losing her loved ones. With respect to their previous scene, she's choosing to punch Damon in the cheset rather than aiming for his face, and he's fine with that.

Once Damon gets Elena to calm down and leave, Stefan comes to the doorway to talk to him.

Stefan: Promise me. No matter what happens. You'll protect her. Damon: Promise. Katherine: That right there was the biggest mistake you've ever made.

This is season 3 in a nutshell. When you have a character like Katherine... a woman that knows both brothers because she dated both brothers, bank on her comments. She's being real here, so this will play out. Leaving town with Klaus will be Stefan's biggest mistake. Let's just say absence doesn't always make the heart grow fonder. I'm not saying that Stefan needed to leave town for Elena to fall in love with Damon, but it certainly didn't help. Had Stefan not left town, it would've taken longer for her to fall for Damon because it's centered around his selflessness, his humanity.

the problem exists in maintaining infrastructure and access to these communities and repositories of information and knowledge. yes it's held privately. private ownership, the owners can dictate whatever they please? the only way to enact change is through education. there's got to be more awareness of how the internet works lmao

I want to know how we can determine what is worth keeping, how to archive it and ensure we have access to it for a long time, despite changes to our power structures, electrical grids, climate crises, and cultural shifts.

These tags are great because--although I don't know if I could mesh it with this au--I've already been drowning myself in trope subversion sugar baby!Tommy Kinard thoughts for like two weeks now, lol.

It just works! Buck's got all this mysterious expendable income and no one can figure out if he's a trust fund kid or constantly living on the edge of total financial ruin (or both simultaneously). But all that doesn't matter at the moment because he's got this smoke-show boyfriend who's committed to him romantically and is so mature, and capable, and seemingly got all his shit together. And Buck, well Buck's always liked to show off; so it doesn't take much for him to start stocking his fridge with the hoppy IPAs Tommy prefers, and showing up to their morning dates with his perfected coffee order (he never lets Tommy pay him back) and a bag full of pastries from the bougie Portuguese bakery Tommy usually reserves for special occasions.

Of course there's Buck’s penchant for the rich Italian cuisine Bobby taught him to cook and suddenly Tommy's starting to feel all of Buck's extra attention around his midsection, specifically. So they have to have the conversation that goes something like:

Tommy, testing the waters--"If you don't put the breaks on I'm going to start thinking you're fattening me up on purpose."

Buck looking at him with wide, glossy eyes and a pink-cheeked smile, like--“And that’s a bad thing?”

But he gets it, with Tommy staying in shape is about more than just looking good. So then Buck switches his tactics, the pastries go back to being a special occasion thing, and instead he sets out to become proficient in a whole new set of culinary arts, experimenting with lighter cuisines (mediterranean, middle eastern, various east asian dishes) and dragging Tommy to farmers markets in a burrow Tommy would normally never venture into in fear that they'd smell the trailer park kid on him from miles away. Now, Buck's fridge is filled with the kombucha Tommy likes but wont buy himself and bushels of organic greens from farm-to-table initiatives so he can make Tommy his green juice in the morning.

And it's all a lot for Tommy who's spent most of his childhood, and a significant part of his adult life, safeguarding himself from people who doled out attention for entirely the wrong reasons, the same ones who always ended up being trouble if they felt like you owed them something. Tommy just ends up doubling down in the form of acts of service and their whole dynamic gets thrown off the rails for a bit with their competing levels of intensity: Buck not understanding why Tommy can't just accept nice things, and Tommy not understanding why Buck might want to give him a gift without expecting Tommy to like, vacuum his apartment in return.

When it finally comes up, Buck is simply reiterates--"I want you to feel comfortable here."

And Tommy's like-- "Comfortable? If you keep doing this I'm never going to leave.”

“Maybe that's what I'm going for," Buck replies with more hesitancy that Tommy expects after all that peacocking.

So Tommy just takes Buck's hand in his own and assures him, "You know you don't have to buy me things to get me to stay right? You're enough, Evan."

Buck squeezes it back and assures-- "And you don't have to do things for me to be allowed to stay."

Anyway, in my head it all culminates in Buck getting to be a good boy for his daddy, and Tommy learning to let his boy take care of him (and also Buck responds better to words of affirmation anyhow..)

tl;dr they both have daddy issues and they heal each other through gift giving and acts of service and lots of nasty sex and praise 😌

One of my favourites headcannons the fandom seems to share is that during the cruise ship rescue Buck recognizes Tommy from a sexy firefighter calendar he featured in while still at the 118 and that it's partially responsible for Buck developing such a strong interest in Tommy so quickly.

But, I find it equally funny to imagine Buck having one of those tiktok accounts where ripped men post borderlind pornographic videos of themselves finger blasting oiled up chiken or whatever while they craft a meal that looks like it belongs on the menu of a three Michelin star restaurant--tight apron, no shirt, good lighting, horny camera work, whatever tiktok song is trending in the background--the whole nine yards. (I'm imagining something along the lines of this guy's videos).

And the whole time poor Tommy’s trying to keep them all in one piece while flying head first into a hurricane, in his head there's just a mantra of: "is that the guy who makes the slutty eggs? Is that the guy who makes the slutty eggs? Is that the guy--"

Now there's an extra bit at the end of all his videos where Buck sets the plate down infront of a headless hunk seated at his kitchen island who makes a lot of appreciative moaning noises while he devours whatever Buck just prepared for him.

5 Drinks To Get To Know Me

Water: lmao yes, I'm sorry, I had to put it. I am actually famously bad at drinking water. I think I've been told this by every doctor I know, including optometrists, dentists, and chiropracters. It's bad. BUT--- I recently have been trying very hard to drink more water. Recently I found out that the normal amount of times to pee per day is 6-8, and not 1-2, so that's crazy. Anyways, I recently bought a cup specifically for water and have been drinking at least the recommended 64 oz per day.

Kombucha: Okay, I know. A lot of undeserved hate for this one. I, like many of you, used to despise kombucha. I have borderline OCD (in the "many of my family members have it and I display symptoms but have never been tested" way, not the quirky 2017 likes to organize things fake and offensive way) and I tend to get a little bit paranoid about what goes into my body. That's part of why I've always had a difficult relationship with water, which has vastly improved since I moved out and now only use my own cups which are washed by me. But like, obviously to the uninitiated, kombucha can be a beverage that can make someone like me a little nervous, since it does contain living cultures. But, it really is no more alarming than yogurt, and it's really tasty if you know where to look! I like herbal flavors like lavender or ginger. The first kombucha I ever had was pineapple basil flavored. And it is truly very good for your gut health. Funnily enough, now it's a safe drink for me!

Guava nectar: Listen... I know it is hella sugary, BUT no other drink is so ridiculously affordable. I also love a thick drink. Marvelous.

Hot Chocolate: I love hot chocolate! Growing up mormon, it was definitely a staple in my house lmao. My mom likes making it from scratch with cinnamon and milk and other stuff, idk her recipe lmao. We'd serve it into mugs with a ladle out of this big pot. My brother has like a shit ton of hc, too, and he will deadass just bring me a cup of hot chocolate sometimes, which is so nice.

Mango lassi: When I was is high school, my mom would let me get takeout a lot, which was so nice of her, and my favorite to get was indian food. I was vegetarian at the time, and the paneer tikka masala from this one place was fire. Anyways, I always loved getting a mango lassi, because they're DELICIOUS and also because I like really spicy food but then it's spicy and oh nooo but WAIT I have this mango lassi. If I every went on Hot Ones, I would request they give me a Mango lassi instead of milk. Also sorry if I'm spelling a ton of shit wrong. The only reason I spell english words correctly is because of autocorrect.
