Sharing Part IX | Eli/Reader
Summary: Eli reminds you who's who when you accidentally say the wrong name.
Tumblr media
Read now on Ao3 or below the cut:
Although you were missing Lionel already, you were excited to see Eli again after six months away from him. Your flight landed quite late at night, so when the taxi pulled up at your house and you lugged your suitcase to the front door, the lights were already off, and Eli undoubtedly asleep.
You were exhausted after such a long flight, and you’d not slept on the plane in an effort to stave off jet lag, so as soon as the door closed behind you, you left your suitcase in the hall and zombie-walked to the bedroom, pausing only to strip down to your underwear, then climbed into bed and promptly fell asleep.
When Eli woke up, he forgot momentarily that you were due back, and his grumpiness at being woken by his alarm was mitigated when he rolled onto his back and found a gorgeous woman sleeping next to him.
He smiled smugly and wrapped an arm around your waist. You instinctively backed up into him, and his morning wood pressed into your ass. God, he’d missed this. Letting a grad student blow him for a good grade was fine, but no one could get him aroused like you could.
You were still asleep, but Eli had no intention of letting that stop him. He pawed lazily at your breast, his cock grinding against your ass in an effort to get a bit of relief. For six months he’d been jerking off in the morning, using the sexy pics you’d sent him to spur himself on, but now he had the real thing, and boy was he gonna enjoy it.
Hoping to wake you up, Eli pinched your nipple, and you let out a squeak. He grinned.
Your eyes were still closed, but Eli saw you smile, and he knew you were awake. He pinched you again, and you sleepily tried to bat his hand away. Eli let go of your nipple and took your breast in his hand instead, massaging it as he savoured the feeling of having his hand full of your tits again.
You stirred a little more. That’s it, Eli thought. Wake up and let me fuck you, [Y/n]…
“Lionel…”
Eli froze.
“You did not just fucking say that.”
Your eyes opened then and darted around, your brow furrowed in confusion, then landed on him and you smiled as you recognised him.
“Mmm, Eli… I forgot I’d come back…”
 “Yeah, you clearly fucking did.”
He rolled on top of you, pinning you face-down into the mattress, and you grunted as he winded you slightly.
“You’re not with your rich lover boy now, slut. You’re back with the boring old Chemistry professor. Sorry to disappoint.”
“‘M sorry, I’m still half asleep,” you mumbled against the pillow.
Eli slapped your ass, and you let out a yelp.
“That wake you up? This is Eli, by the way.”
“Shut up, I know who you are. C’mon, babe, lemme see you properly —”
You tried to roll onto your back, but Eli dropped his entire weight on you, leaving you squashed between him and the mattress, your face only just turned to the side enough to breathe.
“I was so looking forward to a nice morning embrace with my girlfriend after not seeing her for six months, but I guess I gotta fuck some sense into you first, huh?”
You scoffed. “Like you weren’t gonna fuck me anyway.”
“I don’t need you to get off,” Eli snarled, knowing full well it was a lie. He squeezed your ass, feeling for bruises Lionel might have left behind, and slapped you again when he found a nice tender spot.
“What, you’d rather your hand than me? I doubt that,” you teased, getting more and more frustrated by the second that he wouldn’t let you turn over to see him properly. You hadn’t even kissed him yet!
“Mmm, or a grad student’s mouth. They don’t say another man’s name when my cock’s in their throats.”
You grunted in surprise when he took hold of your thighs and spread them apart, giving himself plenty of room to get between your legs. He released one thigh to free his hand to shove between your legs, fingers diving greedily into your warmth, and he laughed at you when he felt that you were wet already, easily letting him slide his digits in and out of your cunt.
“Don’t - don’t exaggerate, Eli,” you grunted, trying not to give away how his aggressive fingering was already driving you crazy. “Those girls don’t know how to open their throats wide enough to get your stupid cock in there.”
“Mhm, that’s true. Only a slutty throat like yours can take me all the way. When did Lionel last blow his load down there, huh?”
“In the - in the car on the way to the airport.”
Eli scoffed. “Of course. Bye, honey, I love you - by the way, can I get one last blowjob?”
He curled his fingers inside you, and you squealed, your legs twitching involuntarily.
“Right, that’s enough pretending I give a shit about foreplay. I gotta get my dick in that cunt.”
Eli grabbed your hips and pulled, forcing your ass in the air. He finally got a good look at it, Lionel’s bruises fading now but ready to be replaced by his. Your asshole stared at him teasingly, but he decided to leave that for when he had time to fuck you for as long as he wanted. Right now, he had to get to his lecture soon, so he dove straight into your pussy, his cock sliding in as easily as if it had never left.
“Mhm, Eli…” you groaned, and he smirked with satisfaction.
“That’s it — you know whose cock is whose, huh?”
“Oh, I can tell when it’s your cock, babe. Yours is bigger.”
Eli lowered himself over you, and you could feel his breath against your ear.
“You just saying that to butter me up, sweetheart? ‘Cus I don’t appreciate being lied to, you know that.”
“Nah, it’s true. Lionel’s fucking big, but you’re bigger. Now, you gonna put that massive cock to good use or not?”
“As you wish, sweetheart.”
Fuck, he felt good. His balls slapped against your clit with each thrust, and there was something about the frustrated, aggressive way he fucked you that went straight to your core. His fingers dug into your hips as he held you tight, as if worried you’d try to slip away.
“God, I fucking missed this. Did you miss me?” Eli panted.
“You know I did, Daddy. Missed - missed your cock so much - fuck, yes, Eli…”
“Good girl. Now you know who you’re with, huh? You know just whose cock is in your tight cunt.”
“Mhm, Eli, Eli…” you mumbled, your brain filled with nothing but him, the pleasure he was giving you, and the sound of his desperate pants as he fucked you harder.
“I hope Lionel didn’t fuck the respect out of you, slut,” Eli said between grunts. “I am a doctor, you know.”
“So am I!” you insisted, but Eli just wrapped a hand around your throat, squeezing slightly, just enough to make you gag.
“And yet you surrender to me so easily, Dr [L/n]. You should be fucking grateful that you get to fuck me. I’m a Nobel Laureate - best mind in my field, don’t you know? So you’d better treat me with some fucking - respect - fuck, that’s it, squeeze my cock - milk me dry —”
“Eli…”
“That’s Dr Michaelson to you, slut. Call me by my proper title and I might let you cum.”
You might be a brat, but he knew you couldn’t resist an order when you were so close to orgasm, and all your impertinence fell away when he had you on the edge.
“Oh fuck, yes - yes, that feels so good - oh, Dr Michaelson - please —”
You wished you could see his face. He always looked so deliciously deranged when he was fucking you this furiously, every inch of his face etched with a mixture of anger and pleasure. Instead, you made do with feeling his skin against yours, his cock thrusting inside you, and the sound of his desperate grunts.
“Who’s in charge here? Huh?”
“You are,” you whined. You could feel your orgasm building, but you knew he wouldn’t give it to you until he was satisfied he’d fully reminded you of your place. “You’re in charge, Daddy. I’m all - all yours - fuck, Eli, please, I gotta cum!”
“Dr Michaelson,” Eli growled in your ear, and you groaned in frustration.
“Dr Michaelson, please, let me cum. I need - need to cum - need to milk your cock dry, please…”
Eli chuckled derisively.
“Such a desperate little slut. Alright, then. Show me how well you can milk me, Dr [L/n].”
He reached around your waist to flick his finger against your clit, and it was mere moments before you were cumming around his cock, crying out with pleasure into the pillow, and it was only when he was sure you’d ridden the aftershock of your orgasm that Eli let himself go, his hips slamming into yours with one final thrust as he groaned, his cock filling you up with his seed as he finally reached the climax he could only get with you.
Panting, Eli pulled out of you and rolled onto his back. You were relieved to finally be able to move, but even more relieved to be able to turn to him and look at him properly.
“God, you’re fucking gorgeous,” you said as you looked up at him, and you meant it. His hair was a mess, his brow was dripping with sweat, and he looked exhausted. And it was fucking glorious.
Eli put an arm around you and held you close, his eyes closed as he caught his breath. He opened them and looked down at you, and grinned when he saw that you were just as sweaty and exhausted as he was.
“Mhm, I must be, ‘cus you’re gorgeous and I’m fucking you.”
“I missed you,” you purred, nuzzling his neck. You heard him chuckle and he wrapped his arms securely around you.
“Missed you too, sweetheart.” He kissed the top of your head. “God, I wanna cancel today’s lectures. Maybe I’ll just stay here and fuck you all day instead.”
“And deprive your students of the wisdom of the great Dr Michaelson? You wouldn’t dare,” you teased, looking up at him with a mischievous look in your eye. “Besides - I gotta get to the faculty meeting this afternoon to discuss next semester. Otherwise I would gladly stay here and fuck all day.”
“How ‘bout we get takeout tonight? Rent a movie and not watch it while you suck me off.”
“God, that sounds like Heaven,” you said with a dreamy smile. You kissed his shoulder, then rolled onto your back to let him up.
Groaning his protestations at having to get up, Eli rolled out of bed and trudged into the bathroom. You, meanwhile, not having any obligations until the afternoon, stayed in bed, your face pressed into Eli’s pillow. You smiled as the scent of him filled your nostrils.
Eli emerged from the bathroom to get dressed and had to resist every instinct in his body that was screaming at him to get back in bed with you. You were so tempting lying there, a cute little smile on your face as you held his pillow. You were back where you belonged, in his bed, and he was going to make the most of every moment with you over the next six months.
He had to turn away from you to get dressed, otherwise he really would just get back into bed, as much as he loved his job. He loved imparting his knowledge onto the eager students, he loved experimenting in the lab, and he loved it when a desperate student would crawl between his legs and suck him off instead of studying.
That last part would have to go, though. All the girls he was fucking were graduating this year, and he had no desire to be with anyone else when you were around. How you’d managed to control his philandering dick, he had no idea — maybe it was the fact that you let him do it that made it less appealing. Or maybe he’d finally met his match — after all, you hardly ever turned him down when he wanted to initiate. He’d always had a high sex drive, one his ex-wife Sarah had never been able to keep up with, but you were plenty able to keep up with him. Even better, you worked at the same college, so you were pretty much always around for him when he needed you.
If only he’d spent 20 years married to you instead. He’d loved Sarah - even with all the women he’d fucked on the side, she was the only one he’d ever loved - but she was nothing compared to you. He’d do anything for you. Hell, he’d once flown 5,000 miles on a whim because he was terrified of losing you to Lionel Shabandar. He couldn’t say he’d ever have done that for Sarah.
As Eli buttoned up his shirt, he glanced at you in the mirror. From the way you were breathing steadily, he strongly suspected you’d already fallen back asleep.
He smiled to himself. Leaving you in bed while he went to work was torture, but he’d take that every day over waking up without you. Hell, he’d even take leaving you in bed with Lionel if it meant he could wake up next to you at all.
He didn’t want to keep passing you back and forth every six months. He wanted you every day, and if he had to share you with Lionel, he would.
He wanted to marry you.
He knew you’d never agree. Marriage was monogamy, and it was clear you weren’t built for that. Neither was he, and nor was Lionel for that matter. But still, he loved you, and he wanted to call you his wife.
“You’re gonna be late,” your voice mumbled from the pillow.
Eli chuckled.
“I got the best reason to be,” he replied. “Sorry I’m late, class, I was fucking my girlfriend. She just got back from six months of fucking another guy and I had to remind her whose cock is better.”
You snort-laughed, and your phone went off. You rolled over and grabbed it from the spot on the floor you’d thrown it when getting undressed the night before.
“Is that him now?”
You hummed the affirmative, blinking the sleep out of your eyes as you read Lionel’s texts.
Lionel: Did your flight get in okay? You: Yep. Headed home now. Going straight to sleep. 😴 Lionel: I doubt Eli will allow that. You: He’ll be fast asleep by now. I’m sure he’ll say hello in his own way in the morning.
Lionel: Good morning. I’m just about to go to sleep. Everything okay?
You texted your reply:
You: I may have said your name in my sleep… Lionel: Of course you did 😉 I bet Eli loved that. You: I think he’s still pissed at me. Lionel: You can always come back. Clearly you want to.
“I’m going now, if you care,” Eli called from the door.
“Nooo!” you whined, putting your phone down so you could make grabbing motions towards him. “Kisses first!”
Eli rolled his eyes, though he smirked at your eagerness for his attention, and crossed the room to lean down and give you a passionate kiss. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, trying to pull him back into the bed, but he was stronger than you and reluctantly stood his ground.
“I’ll see you later, sweetheart. Love you.”
“Love you too, Eli.”
He gave you one last kiss, gentler this time, then straightened his shirt and made his way out the door before he could succumb to the temptation of staying in bed with you.
Your phone buzzed again.
Lionel: I miss you.
You smiled.
You: I miss you too. Good night ❤️

It had all started the day Noah accidentally shrank Theo’s gym clothes in the wash.
“It’s no big deal, I’ll just skip today.” Theo stretched and yawned.
“Fuck, are you sure?” Noah bit his lip. “I could run out and get you some shorts or something from Wal-mart?”
“It’s my fault for only having the one set anyway,” Theo said. “Besides, I’ve been tired lately. Maybe this is just the rest day I needed.”
“Yeah, maybe.” Noah still looked upset with himself until Theo cupped his cheek in one hand and pulled him in to kiss his forehead.
It hadn’t seemed like much, one little mishap with the laundry and Theo deciding to take a day off. Of course, then he forgot to go buy new gym clothes the next day, and he felt like relaxing again the day after that, and the day after that, and then forgot again…
Noah would have been beating himself up if Theo didn’t seem to be enjoying his rest. His boyfriend used to spend hours keeping busy: working out at the gym, walking their dog, doing chores around the house, not to mention the insane hours he put in at his job. Most nights he’d collapse into bed exhausted, but cutting the gym out of the mix had given him a little more time to sleep in and have energy for the day.
“It’s weird having you here for dinner…” Noah chuckled as he filled Theo’s plate.
“Is it?” Theo frowned. “That… can’t feel good. I’m sorry, babe.”
“It’s fine, I know you’re busy.” Noah slid into Theo’s lap and kissed his cheek. “Still nice to have you here now though.”
“I’ll try to come home a little earlier.” Noah took a bite and groaned happily. “Especially now that I know I’ve been missing out on your cooking this whole time! Did you go to culinary school in secret or something?”
Noah laughed and blushed, cuddling close and shaking his head.
As promised, Theo started cutting back on the work hours too, coming home earlier instead of sticking around to cover for others and please a demanding manager.
… then he started going in later too.
And calling out.
“Didn’t you have work today?” Noah slipped on his shoes while their excitable dog, Cakepop, jumped excitedly at the sight of his leash.
“I called out sick.” Theo paused his game to give Noah his full attention, setting the controller aside so he could open a bag of chips. “Last night was really rough and when I woke up I just didn’t really have it in me to go in. Thought I might cry honestly.”
“Oh…” Noah’s heart clenched with concern. “Well, I’m proud of you for taking care of yourself.”
“I don’t really know what I’m going to do all day,” Theo admitted. “I mean, there’s some chores to catch up on but those shouldn’t take long.”
“I’m sure you’ll find something, you always do.” Noah kissed his forehead before heading out with Cakepop.
When he came home some twenty minutes later, Theo was still gaming.
He kept gaming through lunch, and through dinner, though he didn’t miss out on Noah’s cooking since he brought the meals out to him.
Noah curled up against Theo happily with a pint of ice cream, watching him clear another level. His heart fluttered as he realized Theo had never gotten dressed today, and was still in pjs. It felt nice knowing his overworked partner had gotten to relax today.
“Dessert?” he offered, showing Theo two plastic spoons.
“Ahhh-” Theo playfully opened his mouth so he didn’t have to put his controller down, and Noah laughed and fed him a spoonful.
That’s when it really started.
Because, Noah noticed that Theo’s shirt was hugging his middle a little tighter than normal, and he’d been real careful with the laundry ever since the gym clothes incident (hey, had Theo ever gotten new gym clothes?) so he knew it hadn’t shrunk.
When he thought about it, Theo hadn’t been nearly as active as usual lately, and he’d actually been around for meals. Noah’s cheeks warmed as he realized he really liked the idea of this trend continuing, and he scooped another spoonful of ice cream and offered it to Theo.
He kept going, curious to see if Theo would ever ask him to stop, his heart pounding harder and harder as he saw more and more of the bottom of the container. Eventually he’d scraped the sides for all they were worth and Theo was leaning back with his feet on the table, his stomach obviously rounded out.
Theo burped. “Whoa, ‘scuse me. Think I overdid it on the dessert.”
“... I don’t think you did.” Noah reached out hesitantly and began to rub Theo’s stomach. “I think… you could even have a little more…”
And that brought them to today.
Noah hummed happily as he flipped another pancake onto the stack, filling up a plate and drowning it with syrup before putting it onto a breakfast tray.
Then he put the breakfast tray onto a cart that already had three similar breakfast trays on it, all of them full to the brim.
It was really well past noon, but Theo liked to sleep in. They’d both realized it pretty quickly when they started indulging his restful side. Noah had brought home some memory foam pillows and a new comforter and Theo had kissed him silly for it.
Theo was currently cuddled up to those pillows as Noah rolled in the cart, but thanks to the hot weather the blanket was pushed down by his feet, giving Noah the perfect view of Theo’s body.
What had once been toned arms were now round with dimples at the elbow and wrists, pecs had become breasts about as big as Noah’s head, near abs had become a whale of a gut that looked beautiful resting on the mattress as Theo slept on his side.
Noah bit his lip as he took a moment to admire him before grabbing a muffin and waving it under Theo’s nose.
Theo gave a bit of a snort as he woke, smiling sleepily as he recognized the smell and immediately opening his mouth.
“Good morning.” Noah fed him the muffin, marveling at how quickly it vanished. “Bed day or up day?”
“Bed day for sure,” Theo purred as he stretched luxuriously, already opening his mouth for more.
Noah giggled and took a seat on the edge of the bed, keeping the cart close so he could steadily feed Theo until every crumb was gone.
“Remember when you first got a little chubby and I called you my teddy bear?” he rubbed Theo’s swollen belly with both hands. “You’re more like one of those grizzly bears now.”
“Oh, like the ones on twitter? The fattest bear competition?” Theo laughed. “Man… that’s the life. Just worrying about getting fat and sleeping all winter…”
“You say that like that isn’t your life now,” Noah teased.
“Heh, true.” Theo started playing with his belly, admiring his fat rolls.
“Time for shake?” Noah asked excitedly.
“No time to digest even?” Theo pretended to complain.
“The more we stretch your stomach the more food you can eat later,” Noah reminded him in a sultry tone.
“Alright, guess I’ll buckle up and try then.” Theo tried to take a deep breath, his full belly already weighing heavily on his lungs.
One day, for some reason, Noah found himself making the weight gain shake first.
He wasn’t sure why he started it before breakfast, but figured he might as well give it to Theo first so he could sleep it off and wake up with more room for food. He knew that as much as he liked filling up, he also liked being able to enjoy the taste of food, and that could be hard to do when all you could think about is how full you are.
He grabbed the funnel and headed back to their bedroom, and seeing Theo asleep on the bed he suddenly remembered why he’d been so eager to do the shake first.
“Sleep feeding?” Noah laughed. “I don’t think it works that way.”
“Of course it doesn’t,” Theo chuckled. “It’s just smut, but it’s pretty hot still.”
“It is…” Noah must have been eyeing Theo hungrily because Theo grinned and nodded.
“Well, if you ever wanna try it, I do like my sleep..”
Noah eyed his boyfriend’s stomach as it rose and fell with breath. He gulped as he brought the tube over to Theo’s mouth.
He had to be careful, he didn’t want him to accidentally choke or anything, or get the bed messy. Of course, in the end, he didn’t have either of those problems, because as soon as the tube hit Theo’s mouth, Theo’s mouth clasped around it and he started sucking.
“Oh man-” Noah turned bright red, and quickly started pouring shake into the funnel.
He lost track of how many times he filled that funnel, all he knew is that Theo kept sucking it down greedily. His knees were going weak from the sight of it, and he felt honestly so happy that he was able to give his boyfriend the ultimate restful experience.
“You never have to leave this bed again, I swear,” he whimpered, which seemed to make Theo stir.
Theo’s eyelids fluttered open, and for a second there was confusion in his eyes, then a wince, then he looked over to Noah and smiled, a little bit of shake leaking from the corner of his mouth.
Theo only paused in his gulping as he rocked side to side, eventually managing to flop onto one side, and then onto his hands and knees. His stomach was pushing his arms and legs apart and weighed heavily on the bed, it was clear he was having trouble holding himself up but he still lifted a hand to grab the feeding tube and keep it in place as he started gulping shake down twice as fast.
“You’re doing such a good job,” Noah gasped out praise. “You’re going to get so big… fuck you’re going to get enormous. You already are enormous! I can’t even remember the last time you got dressed, we probably don’t even have anything that fits you anymore. Keep going.”
He went until he ran out of shake, and had to stifle a moan as Theo kept sucking hard on the tube anyway, looking like he was in a sort of trance.
It took Theo a second to realize there wasn’t anymore shake coming his way, but once he did he let his arm quickly fall to help support himself and gasped, tongue lolling out of his mouth.
“God I feel like a hog,” he wheezed out around a burp. “Dunno if I can even…” he wiggled side to side again, hands and knees moving centimeters closer to the edge of the bed before his arms gave out and he simply flopped onto his belly. “Yeah, I think m’stuck here until I digest… that was so good.”
Noah immediately crawled into bed with him, excited by how little space was left for him. “You should get some more sleep,” he decided.
“Yeah? That’s really okay?” Theo yawned. “You sure you don’t need anything?”
“I need you to rest, and be ready for round two.” Noah sucked a breath in through his teeth and grabbed a rough handful of Theo’s belly. “And round three, and four, and five.”

it was easy to assume that you had been in your brothers’ shadows. techno, wilbur and tommy were talented, football players with great, great achievements. the only thing you wanted was a big change in your life, so when you graduated from the middle school and it came up to making a big decision on choosing high school, you chose the dsmp high – school located an hour away from your house.
you remember your first day at school. the day started awfully. tommy woke you up with a loud yell at – as you rightly guessed – wilbur, who stole his phone and texted to his crush. it turned out that you had twenty minutes left to get ready and leave for bus and not be late. well... you were late on the bus, but thankfully your dad promised he’ll drop you off at school.
phil couldn’t be more proud of you. for real, he knew how hard it was for you to choose different school from techno, wilbur and tommy (everyone know he’ll go after his brothers). you were miserable through your whole middle school, because no one ever noticed you as your own person, only as wilbur’s twin sister, techno’s younger sibling or the only sister of tommy. it cause you to slowly losing yourself and becoming a female version of your brothers. so when you spoke to him about the idea of the dsmp high, he couldn’t get happier.
fortunately, dad dropped you off fifteen minutes before your first period started. wandering around the new school, looking for people you had classes with. you looked at your phone and accidentally bumped into a tall, dirty blonde guy with painted nails and purple sweater.
“oh no- i’m so sorry!” he spoke kind of afraid he might hurt you. “you alright?” a worried ask left his mouth as he put a hand on your shoulder.
it turned out that his name is karl and you took same classes as him. well in fact the boy seemed to be pretty nice, chill and funny. you two were on your way to the biology class and jokes were in the air. you felt so delightful that you messaged wilbur and techno a small text saying you just made your first friend. as no one responded you hid your phone.
“don’t worry, bestie.” he beamed at you. “i’ll meet you with my other friends, if that’s okay. they’ll love you and you won’t have to worry about making ones!” karl whispered into your ear and you couldn’t hide a soft smile that formed on your face.
as he said, he did. it was your lunch pause so he led you to the cafeteria. the idea of sitting at the table with people you didn’t know was.. terrifying but at the same time, so exiting. you felt like your heart skipped a beat when a guy called dream showed up with his best friends george and sapnp.
he was so handsome that you couldn’t take your eyes off him. looking at him was just so pleasing that you were kinda mad that he was karl’s friend so you couldn’t really sigh over him. surprisingly, he turned out to be a nice guy as well. you expected dream to be a completely jerk and an arsehole, but well you started to feel like you’d fall for him.
Tumblr media
well… you were right. you fell for clay so deeply that just being around him was… stressing you out. he always cared about you, through your whole freshman year he was so cute and it was hard not to fall.
sophomore year started in a very… unexpected way. you hadn’t seen your friends in weeks, because you have lived so far away, but it didn’t make your brand new friends group to fall apart. you wouldn’t be so surprised if they organized a meet after classes but… well it was a meet, but only with clay. in a shortcut – he took you on a date.
“i missed you so much, y/n/n” he smiled as he shyly took your hand and intertwined your fingers with his. a small, timid smile formed on your blushed face. “fuck… i like you, i have a huge ass crush on you, okay? i-i just don’t wanna mess up our friendship… so please tell me if you don’t feel same” clay spoke with shaking voice, not giving you a sight.
maybe it was the adrenaline that boosted you up, or your inner self just wanted to do it, but as his confession ended, your lips gentlt pressed his. clay was… well shocked is a good word, clay was shocked, but he pulled you in even closer and that’s how you ended up making out in the park.
you were thrilled to the gills and you almost told your brothers about clay. almost, because you heard techno’s talking about a match against the dsmp high. well it wouldn’t be such a big thing if you hadn’t heard dream, and well oh well. words weren’t too nice.
“hi… are you free?” you said softly, sitting on your bed. you were frightened – what if they don’t like each other? what if… wilbur and tommy also don’t like him? “you know techno, right? technoblade minecraft?” a quiet ask left your mouth as you sat under the tree in your yard.
“yes, unfortunately.” his response made you thought that you had annoyed him. “wait, why you’re asking? did he hurt you or something?” dream didn’t let you answer as he added i’m gon’ kill him under his breathe.
“noo, don’t worry” you clutched your head and sighed. “he’s… my brother, older brother, actually”. silence between you two were clearly killing you, but you couldn’t be one to break it. he had to say something.
“oh my fuck” you heard his shocked voice and chuckled in response. “it doesn’t matter. you’re the one i fell in love with, not he. i know you’re worried, but everything will be alright.”.
“i hope so” his laughter calmed you. “i’ll call you later so we can fall asleep on call okay? dinner’s ready”.
Tumblr media
”it’s kinda forbidden love, isn’t it?” george laughed as he wrapped his arm around you with a cute smile. brown haired boy was waiting along with you at your whole friends’ group. “y’know… techno is your brother and also a rival of your boyfriend… it’s exciting”.
you almost gasped at his words. it felt so silly and people would probably find it meaningless, but you couldn’t hide a smile that appeared on your face. he didn’t say techno’s sister like everyone from the middle school would say, george said that he’s your brother.
“as long as i love her, nothing else really matters to me” clay’s voice was so sweet that you almost melted under it. he was right, there’s no reason to overthink – you love him and it’s the only thing that matters.
“yeah, you should definitely tell him that at the match on saturday.” oh my fucking god, a match. the elimination match between the dsmp high and the lmanburg high. you were completely between a rock and a hard place.
“fuck, i forgot about it.” wrapping his arms around your body, dream felt how stressed you began to get. he also felt when your body unwittingly started to shake. “he’ll hate me, so will wilbur and tommy.”
“aren’t they already hating you? like- you barely talk to them at home, so… what’s the problem?” sapnap asked shrugging. well, he was right – techno lost his interest in talking to you and unfortunately wilbur and tommy took their cue from him, and the only person you had talked to was your dad.
“you’re coming to our match, right?” karl asked with a nervous smile forming on his face. it was his first match ever on the team – you couldn’t not be there. “it doesn’t who will you cheer for, just be there, okay?”
“karl, of course i will be there” you smiled at him, trying to hide your increasing stress that almost made you pass out. “please win this, okay? it’d be too hard to look at your miserable faces.”
Tumblr media
tommy had always been your favorite of them all. as a child he wouldn’t let you go and sometimes it was obviously burdensome, but you loved it. you loved how he cared and now you missed it. he wanted, but he couldn’t talk to you, techno and wilbur would be pissed if he did.
he wondered about telling you how well he made friends in high school along with tubbo. about all of the funny jokes he made. he just wanted to be a teenager that shares cool memories with his older sister, but for now his brothers were too proud to apologize.
“wil, are you sure we should do that?” he asked, uneasiness appearing on his pale face. he genuinely missed his big sister that always helped him with his homework, with choosing cool outfits to impress girls, helped him, when he argued with tubbo. “she looks so miserable. even dad is worried!”
“we have nothing to do with her miserableness. she left us first. now, she can go and fuck herself” wilbur had never acted lke that before, so surprised tommy just frowned at him and shook his head in hopelessness. something was off and he would like to know what. to repair it.
his stomach rambled and it was time for a snack. tommy was about to came in, but he heard a bit of a conversation between philza and his only daughter.
“yeah, they do kinda hate me” she shrugged, not letting her tears fall. “uhm… clay proposed that i could stay at his. you know, dad. until… they start talking to me again.” long sigh left her mouth as she clutched her head in hands, right before he noticed tears. tommy couldn’t do more, so he got back to his room not letting anyone in later that evening.
it’d be a lie if someone said that tommy wasn’t stressed out. his first game was in a few minutes and his sister was nowhere to be found. “she has better things to do, i disappointed her - i shouldn’t be so shocked.”
when he saw her, he felt relieved. she was there to support him in his first game in high school ever, but as he watched her, slowly drifting away, looking for someone different in the crowd of people, he was hurt.
“i can’t believe you really choose to avoid the affection from dream for today, because your brothers are here. you should fuck them three” sapnap laughed, looking over your shoulder at tommy. “two. he looks hurt as well as you.” you know he was, but he didn’t do anything because the pressure techno and wilbur put on him, was killing him inside.
“y/n you came!” karl cried out, running towards you and sapnap. he hugged you tight and smiled softly, giggling noiselessly. “did y/n’s brothers saw it? i was literally her ride.”
“excuse me, you did that on purpose?” george laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. you joined him, but you stopped when you saw tommy’s upset, frightened face. it wasn’t only karl’s first game – it was tommy’s as well.
“i gotta talk to him” you sighed exhausted of the whole drama around you and your brothers. or just around you, wilbur and techno. your little brother had nothing to do with it. “tommy, hi” you started a bit nervous, feeling the tension betweet you two. and firstly, you thought he will just go away, but you gasped as he hugged you tight.
“i missed you so much” he whispered so anyone could hear but you. soft smile showed up on his face, making it way more brighter. “thanks for coming here, i know it’s rought between you and wil. he’s kinda mad but everything will be fine, i know that.” you wrapped arms around his torso and smiled widely.
“you’ve got this, okay tommy?” you brushed his hair. in response you got a growl and loud laugh after. “if you win or if you lose, it doesn’t matter, because i will still love you, but i’ve gotta go back to my friends.” you beamed and left tommy as soon as you saw wilbur storming towards you.
me: can’t wait to see you on the field :)
you felt like melting, when dream looked at you with his happy, excited face. you were so proud of him – he was the captain of the school football team and it was known that he has a sport scholarship. despite your brothers’ presence, you planned to show clay some support and you painted a medium #21 on your black, denim jacket.
clay: can’t wait to see you on my bed, right next to the trophy i’ll get as a captain.
Tumblr media
he hadn’t lie. you sat on his messy bed, in his messy bedroom, talking to his younger sister drista. she was adorably bewitching. she was a bit younger than tommy, but thankfully she wasn’t as loud as him. you laughed after hearing her awful joke.
“so… you’re living here by now?” she asked curiously, frowning. her eyes scanning your, now, blushed face, waiting on the answer. “please, i cannot stand his my-girlfriend-lives-so-far-and-i-can’t-sneak-into-her-room-and-kiss.” she rolled her eyes, but smile widely.
“oh, yeah.” you blushed even harder as she laughed at your already blushed face. “i’m just worried if he’s okay with us hiding, you know? i mean– he could be with someone else, someone… someone better.”
drista didn’t know what to say and you knew she didn’t have to. you were scared – because of your situation that had place in middle school – he will just leave your for someone better, someone prettier, smarter, cuter.
unfortunately for you, clay had heard your every single word. he coughed, letting drista know that she should go. girl smiled at you before leaving you two alone. him, standing in front of you with only his sweatpants on. “y/n” he started as he got closer.
“i- i- can not tell i know how you feel or how you should feel. and-and i genuinely do not care about anyone else but you. i love you, okay dumbass?” he sat as close as possible and beamed softly.
“you won’t replace me?” the whole thing between you and clay was terrifying you so much. is he lying about his feelings? is he really in love with you? or maybe you’re just a bet? you almost shook your head as the thoughts began to overwhelm you.
he wouldn’t do that. and if he would, some of his friends (yours as well) would kill him. you couldn’t be more happier at the moment. your boyfriend had just told you that he loves you for the very first time, you made amazing friends that would kill for you and vice versa, but there was one thing you had to fix. the relationship with techno and wilbur.
“i could never replace you, love”.
Tumblr media
“you sure you wanna do it?” clay asked, gently rubbing your thigh with his thumb, sitting in the front seat of his car. you were about to tell your whole family that clay dream is your boyfriend. the guy your older brother claimed to hate. lots of fun, right?
you nodded unsure, getting out of the car. it was your first time seeing your brothers in over a month and – boy, oh boy – you were terrified. did they miss you? did they even notice you were gone? you wished they did. you weren’t even able to ring the doorbell, because tommy opened the door with a huge grin.
“i’ve been waiting for you.” he confessed, closing you in a tight hug. he let you off as soon as he noticed smiled dream standing right behind you. “and who are you, mister?” suspicious question left tommy’s mouth.
“i’m y/n’s boyfriend, clay” dream beamed at tommy as he let you in. shock finding their way onto his face was… quite hilarious. he mumbled something under his breathe, but you couldn’t catch it.
as soon as you got onto the dining room, you saw wilbur, techno and dad setting the table. tommy coughed, couldn’t hide his happiness. his sister is back and he can’t let her go ever again.
“hi…” you started, your voice getting shaky. “i wanted to explain some things and it’d be a pleasure if you would accept my new boyfriend, especially technoblade.” dream took your sweaty with nervousness hand to calm you. he knew it was tough for you, knowing that him and techno are rivals. “this is clay and i know you know him, and you’re not on the good terms, but please just… finally talk to me, because i miss both of you and i’d love to have either my brothers and boyfriend close as possible.” you finished glancing at techno and wilbur.
“y/n, i’m just sad you didn’t want to go to same school with me. you had never told me why, we were inseparable and everything changed within days.” wilbur was first to answer you. his dejected voice made you crying. you missed him, his voice, his advices, his presence around you. “everytime i woke up, you were already running on the bus and we didn’t have a chance to talk.”
“i- you- you’re right. i should’ve told you why did i choose the dsmp high. i did, because i began to lose myself, everyone saw me only as your sister and i started to think that i do not matter anymore. i had to change it and i had to show everyone that i’m not just yours and techno’s sister, but i’m my own persona.” wil stood up and got closer to you. your tears convinced him that you weren’t lying and he felt bad that he didn’t realize it sooner. “i’m so sorry”.
“no- no, i’m also sorry. i’m the one that should apologizing. you were just choosing your own path and i was mad at you, because of that. ‘m sorry y/n/n.” you smiled through tears and hugged him as tight as you only could.
“there’s no much drama between us” techno chuckled quietly, watching you and wilbur cuddling. “i already knew what’s going on between you two at the match. i just took wil’s side.” he shrugged and you laughed, shaking your head in disbelief. “well, it doesn’t mean i like you” he claimed glaring at your boyfriend. “i can tolerate you as long as you’ll treat y/n the best you can, otherwise i’ll kill you”.
“i agree and so does tommy” your twin added, looking dream dead in the eyes.
“maybe we’ll stop the death threats here and start eating?” your dad proposed with a cheerful smile. his kids were finally getting along again, he couldn’t be more proud or happier than at the moment.
Tumblr media
“it went so well” you whispered delighted. you were snuggling with dream on your bed, some time after the dinner ended. phil suggested that he could stay for the night, so they can get to know him better.
tommy was thrilled to the bones about the fact that now, he has a new friend, older than him, and also a captain of the football team, so he could teach him how to play better. wil was… well wil. he made sure that dream didn’t have any wrong intentions and techno just couldn’t care less if you were happy with him. he even suggested that they should bury the hatchet and move on.
“i haven’t said that to anyone yet, but i love you” you said, almost skipping a bit when he held your head and gently kissed you.
“well, you already know that i’m head over heels in love with you. and it won’t ever change” he said and kissed you one more time.

Anxiety Attack - Jett, Reyna, Skye x General Reader
A/N: I was inspired by @letsskiptothewedding, who wrote headcanons about how certain Valorant agents would comfort their S.O. during an anxiety/panic attack. I decided to write small scenarios, albeit with just 3 of the 6 agents in the original post. If you guys want me to write the same idea with other agents in mind (male or female), please send me suggestions in my ask box!
I tried to make the scenarios fairly different for each agent. Also, I wrote these imagines with a general reader in mind.
If you want to request anything, you can do so here.
Word count: 2,076
Warnings: Brief mention of blood and death.
JETT:
You and Jett had been sent on a simple recon mission by Brimstone to Ascent. It sounded simple when he had explained what you two had to do. But as luck would have it, the mission would be anything but simple.
Mirror Astra, Mirror Fade and Mirror Phoenix had caught you both off guard, resulting in an ugly shoot out. You had managed to dodge any bullets flying your way by taking cover in the boathouse.
“Jett, come on!” you had cried in the midst of the gunfire.
It wasn’t until you had found refuge in the boathouse that you had realized Jett hadn’t followed you. You were forced to leave your hiding place to find her.
It only took you a few minutes to find your girlfriend in a crumpled heap near the garage switch on B site. Blood poured from so many different spots that you didn’t know where to begin stopping it.
“Jett, I’m so sorry,” you said, your voice cracking with emotion.
Jett shook her head weakly. “Are you okay, Y/N?” she croaked.
“I’m okay,” you replied. “Please stay with me, Jett!”
But it was too late. Jett’s grey-blue eyes slowly closed as she drew her last breath.
“No, no, no!!!” you screamed, unable to comprehend this new reality.
...
You woke up in a panic, eyes darting over to your left. Your racing heart calmed down slightly upon seeing Jett curled up beside you in bed. She was sound asleep and completely unaware of your awful nightmare.
Not wanting to wake her, you snuck out of bed and went outside to get some air. It was only once you got outside and saw the sunrise that you lost it. You sat on a bench and loudly wept into your hands. Your body shook violently as you sobbed about the nightmare you just had.
The thought of losing Jett- your loving, amazing girlfriend- had crossed its mind more times than you cared to admit. But the nightmare had felt so real that it reminded you that it could happen. Even though neither of you had a mission coming up soon, you couldn’t shake the thought of Jett dying on her next mission. On the battlefield, nothing was guaranteed.
It felt your anxiety attack had gone on for hours. But it had only been for about 15 minutes or so when you felt a small hand touch your shoulder out of the blue.
“Y/N?”
You spun around to find a worried Jett staring at you, still wearing her pyjamas. She played with a couple of her knives in the other hand- a habit she did to calm her nerves.
“Sorry, I...I didn’t mean to worry you,” you said, still bawling.
“I heard you leave, but I didn’t want to bother you in case it was work-related,” Jett explained. “I knew something was up, though.”
“Yeah,” you remarked.
“Anxiety attack?” Jett asked.
You nodded. You had had an anxiety attack once in front of Jett after you had accidentally hurt her during training. But it had been a long time since it happened again.
“Wanna talk about it?” Jett offered, taking a seat beside you.
“I...I had a nightmare... We were on a mission together...I ran away for cover, thinking you had followed me...but you didn’t. I found you... There was so much blood. And then...you...”
You couldn’t bear to finish explaining. More tears flooded from your eyes as you rested your head back in your hands. You managed to choke back a sob that almost escaped your throat.
“Y/N...” Jett paused to put her knives away. “I’m so sorry you dreamt that. But I’m right here, okay? I’m tougher than I look.”
“I know you are, but...things can happen,” you pointed out.
Jett knelt in front of you and grabbed your hands. “It was just a nightmare, okay? It didn’t happen. And I promise to do my best to be safe.”
You nodded as you exhaled a shaky breath. “I promise the same.”
Jett stood up and gave you a tight hug. You wrapped your arms around her petite frame, pulling her close to you. She sat on your lap, giving you the perfect chance to kiss her forehead. She looked up and planted a big kiss on your forehead in return.
After exchanging a kiss on the lips, Jett wiped any lingering tears from your face. “Wanna get changed and go on a run with me?”
“I’d like that a lot,” you replied as a smile crept onto your face.
You followed Jett back to your place to change for the impromptu jog. Leave it to your loving girlfriend to help your anxiety.

REYNA:
Tonight was the semi-annual banquet held at headquarters. It was always a fun affair full of dancing, drinking, laughing, and socializing. Any excuse to let one’s hair down and have fun was always welcome and taken advantage of.
Every agent looked forward to the banquets to varying degrees. But you had never been one for such parties. Large crowds of people wasn’t your idea of fun. Yet you sucked it up every time for the sake of your fellow agents- especially your girlfriend. Reyna always loved spending time with you at these banquets.
But as you scanned inside your closet for tonight’s outfit, you felt your heart start to race inside your chest. You didn’t want to be anywhere near this banquet. You just wanted to have a quiet night in in your comfy clothes, far away from the chaos that the banquet always brought on.
Despite this, you got dressed and went down to where the banquet was being held. Reyna had promised to meet up with you inside, but...
You glanced inside at the few agents milling about inside, chatting away without a care in the world. No doubt they were already pre-gaming amidst the loud music blaring in the room.
I don’t wanna be anywhere near this, you thought as your heart rate skyrocketed.
You darted back to your place without so much as a second thought. You slammed the door shut and sank onto your bed as you began hyperventilating. Every attempt to calm your panicked breathing failed miserably, causing you to cry in frustration.
You didn’t know how much time had past when you heard someone knock on your door.
“Y/N? Are you in here?” Reyna asked.
You cursed to yourself before responding. “Go without me, Zyanya.”
Reyna opened the door anyways, frowning at you. But her annoyance quickly turned to worry when she saw the pained expression on her face.
“I don’t wanna go to the banquet tonight,” you blurted. “It’s so hot and crowded...it’s never been something I like. I hate it, Zyanya. It always makes me uncomfortable. You can go if you want...but I can’t do it.”
For a moment, neither you nor Reyna said a word. You continued crying and borderline hyperventilating while she watched on.
“I...I don’t know how to help you, Y/N,” she confessed, her voice unusually small.
You couldn’t help but laugh. You realized that you had never had an anxiety attack in front of Reyna before. How could she respond if such a thing hadn’t happened before? You couldn’t find it in yourself to be angry or frustrated with your girlfriend.
“I just don’t wanna go to tonight’s banquet without you being mad at me,” you explained after taking a moment to compose yourself.
“I would never be mad about that, Y/N,” Reyna replied. She sat beside you on your bed and rested her hand on yours.
“You promise?”
“I promise. But I would rather spend time with you, cariño. May I please stay with you?”
You bit your lip. “I know you like the banquets, though.”
Reyna smirked. “They’re not as fun without you, cariño. Spending time with you is more important.”
You nodded as a smile grew on your face. “I’d love it if you kept me company, Zyanya. Thank you.”
Tonight may not have been the night either of you had in night. But it turned out far better than either of you could’ve imagined.

SKYE:
Today was a good day for training. In fact, you had promised Skye to meet up with her that morning to practice your target practice. She had wanted to train with you for a while now, but your schedules hadn’t lined up until today.
But this morning wasn’t good to you. You had woken in the worst mood, dreading even the most mundane of tasks. It had taken every last bit of you to just get out of bed and brush your teeth.
By the time you had completed those every day tasks, your mind suddenly went into a dark place. Your heart pounded in your chest and your head felt as though it was spinning at a mile a minute. You forced yourself to sit on the floor, your back resting on the wall. You tried to slow your shallow breathing, but that proved to be in vain. Tears brimmed your eyes as you tried to rationalize why you were feeling so off.
You were so preoccupied with your troublesome thoughts that you hadn’t even paid attention to the sound of someone knocking on your door. But you did catch a familiar woman’s voice at the last second.
“Y/N?”
Shit! You had forgotten about your training session with Skye in the midst of your anxiety attack. She had already left your place from staying the night before, no doubt to get a work out in or something. The sudden realization made you cry harder as you buried your head in your hands.
“Y/N?” Skye repeated, her voice laced with concern. “Are you okay, love?”
“I’m fine,” you called out, hoping that you sounded convincing despite your crying.
“May I come in?”
You staggered to your feet and wiped your tears away quickly. You opened the door to find Skye wearing workout gear, a puzzled expression evident on her face.
“Are you skipping out on me?” she asked, placing her hands on her hips.
“No, I...I overslept,” you lied.
Skye raised her eyebrows. “That doesn’t sound like you, love. You sure you’re okay?”
You couldn’t keep up the façade any longer. A fresh batch of tears began to fall, leaving Skye more confused than before.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” she asked. “If you didn’t wanna train, you just had to tell me. I would’ve been disappointed, sure, but not mad. It’s no big deal.”
For whatever reason, hearing that made you cry harder. You sank to the floor as sob wrecked havoc on your body. It was bad enough to have an anxiety attack. But to have on in front of one of your comrades? That was beyond embarrassing.
“Sorry...anxiety attack,” you blubbered through your crying fit.
Skye sat beside you on the hard floor. “I...I had no idea, Y/N. I’m so sorry. I wasn’t trying to upset you.”
“No, don’t apologize,” you blurted. “It’s not your fault, Kirra.”
“Let’s skip the range, okay? Why don’t we go for a walk instead? It’ll help clear your mind, love,” Skye said.
You wiped your tears and looked back at Skye. She had a small grin on her face while one hand rested on the small of your back.
“You don’t have to, if you don’t want to,” she added.
“No, I...I should get out of here,” you remarked. “I’m sorry for losing it like that in front of you.”
Skye dismissed your concerns with a wave of her hand and a peck on your head. “Don’t even worry about it, love.”
She helped you up off the floor and left your place so that you could change into your workout clothes. You then followed Skye outside on her favourite hiking trail. It was just challenging enough for her, but easy enough on a hiking novice like yourself.
“I’m sorry, Kirra,” you said shortly into your walk.
“Love, please don’t apologize,” Skye replied, her tone comforting. “We can train another time, okay? It’s hardly a big deal.”
“But I know you were looking forward to it,” you countered weakly.
“Your feelings matter more than training,” Skye insisted. “I promise.”
You grabbed her hand and stroked it with your thumb. She gave your hand a gentle squeeze, making you smile for the first time today. If ever there was a time you were grateful for your girlfriends kindness and patience, it was now. You couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

Okay, so I'm not very good at coming up with prompts, but I am a sucker for accidental love confessions! Think it would be especially cute if they were doing something casual and Nesta absentmindedly blurts out the L word and is mortified.
Just posted the first part of this, from @littleloric's ask, with the "accidental" confession...now on to Nesta actually remembering what happened. 😂
Part 1
PS - don't hate me, but I'm basing Nesta's post-op experience on my own when I got my wisdom teeth out (in terms of pain, not the romance, sadly). So...sorry to all those who had bad experiences. 😬
Tumblr media
Nesta woke up, snuggled beneath her covers, warm and relaxed. She couldn't remember getting into her bed, or much after her doctor sedated her, but a quick look at the clock told her she hadn't slept for too long. Her procedure was at nine, and it was barely past one in the afternoon.
After a big stretch, she pulled the covers off. And then quickly tugged them back over.
Why was it so cold? Why was it always freezing after a nap? It was what made Nesta hate napping.
Her eyes darted around the room and landed on a familiar, worn, Velaris HS Hockey sweatshirt. With a deep breath, Nesta shoved the covers off again and rushed over to the sweatshirt, throwing it on and slipping her feat into her L.L. Bean slippers.
It was a start.
After a few hops, she left her room and made her way toward the sound of the sink running in the kitchen.
She came upon a familiar, hulking figure hunched over the sink, washing some of the dishes she'd left in it the night before. Nesta paused to watch. To take in the defined muscles of his back as his arms moved.
After a moment she decided to make her presence known, clearing her throat softly.
The sink was shut off, and then Cassian was turning. He gave her a bright smile and walked toward her. "How are you feeling?"
"Good! No pain, yet."
"Really?" Cassian asked, his eyebrows raising in shock. "You're a bit overdue for your next dose, so you should be feeling something."
Nesta stopped to think for a second, moving her jaw around a bit, but nothing. It felt completely normal. "Should I take the medication? Emerie was saying something about 'chasing the pain'..."
"Hmmm..." He scratched his head for a moment. "Maybe just start with Advil? And if you feel any real pain, then you can take the prescription? It's pretty strong stuff. Better not to take it if you don't have to."
"Yeah, I'd rather not get loopy again, either," she sighed. "I can barely remember anything from after the procedure."
Cassian stilled as he got out the Advil for her, his entire body stiffening. "So...you don't remember...anything?" he asked, his voice lower than it had been a moment before.
A pit began to emerge in Nesta's stomach at the question. What had she done that Cassian thought she might remember? Was it something he wanted her to remember? Or something he hoped she'd forget?
"Not even anything you said?" he added, finally turning to face her, handing her the Advil and a cup of water.
She accepted both, her face scrunching as she tried to figure out what he might mean. She was just downing a large gulp of water with the pills when the memory flashed through her mind.
I love you.
She barely managed to keep the water from being spat out of her mouth.
What was she thinking?!
Well, she probably wasn't thinking much at all.
Nesta couldn't believe she'd done that. What a stupid, idiotic, embarrassing thing to do. That's not how she was supposed to tell Cassian for the first time. It was supposed to happen at sunset, or in some pretty park, or by a waterfall on a picnic. Preferably after he said it first.
Her cheeks heated, and suddenly Nesta wished she was in pain. That she'd downed the prescription to escape this horror scene.
"Cass, I-"
Cassian stopped her with his lips, kissing her deeply as his arms wound around her waist and tugged her close. Nesta's hands lifted instinctively to his chest, grabbing his shirt to have something to hold on to.
It was just a few seconds before he was pulling away and resting his forehead on hers.
"I love you," he breathed.
Nesta couldn't stop the smile that spread across her face. "Really?"
Cassian huffed out a laugh and gave her another quick kiss. "Of course I do. How couldn't I?"
"I love you, too," she beamed, her hands traveling up until her arms were around his neck and she was pulling herself as close as possible to him.
"So you've said." He grinned widely at her, but before Nesta could snap back at him, he captured her lips with his. "But I'm glad to know it wasn't just the drugs."
Nesta laughed with him at that. "No, not just the drugs. It's been a long time coming."
Cassian's smile widened into something so bright it had flowers blooming within Nesta.
With Cassian, why would she need a sunset anyway?

can you write “Hit my husband again and I’ll fucking kill you” but this time Mickey says it 😯 always wondered how he respond to a lip and ian show down
The house was quiet when Mickey woke up from his accidental afternoon nap. He sighed into the pillow, stretching an arm over the space where Ian would normally lie.
It was cold. Of course it was—it was the middle of the fuckin’ day. Ian was probably still at work, at that dead-end job that barely even made a dent in the bills.
That made Mickey sigh for a different reason.
He was thinking about just staying there, going back to sleep until Ian got home. Ian would accuse him of sleeping all day anyway; he might as well make it true.
Then a crash sounded through the house, the outer wall vibrating against Mickey’s extended leg, and raised voices rose up through the floor vent.
“What the fuck were you thinking?” Mickey heard Lip shout as he rolled off the bed and scrambled for the closed accordion door.
He ripped it open, stumbled out into the hallway, caught himself on the wall when another thud sounded from below.
“Was thinking I didn’t want to be little bitch like you,” Ian’s voice echoed up the stairs, gravely and rough.
There was a clatter, like dishes falling, and the sound of flesh hitting flesh.
Well, Mickey thought absently. Guess Ian was home after all.
He hurried to the stairs, tripped over the first one, and kept going. When he got to the landing, he stopped, watching the carnage that was Ian and Lip Gallagher trying to pummel each other in the middle of the family kitchen.
Ian was winning, that was for damn sure. He had Lip in a headlock, using his height to his advantage, while his brother flailed. It didn’t last long, though, Ian’s arms loosening when he caught sight of Mickey with wide eyes, and Lip finally got in a solid hit to Ian’s gut.
Ian went down. Lip followed.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Mickey yelled out, rushing down the steps as soon as Ian fell. “The fuck is goin’ on down here?”
Neither Ian nor Lip responded, too busy grappling on the floor to spare him a glance. Ian kneed Lip in the groin—Lip pulled Ian’s hair. Ian hooked a leg around Lip’s and flipped them, pinning his older brother to the floor—Lip headbutted him, scrambling out from underneath.
Mickey was there when he stood, shoving Lip into the corner of the counter to get to Ian’s side. He reached down to grasp Ian’s arm, help him up, but his husband slapped his hand away, too preoccupied with a freshly bloodied nose to notice whose it was.
“Ian, hey!” Mickey yelped, shaking his hand out. “What are you hitting me for?”
“He does that,” Lip spit out off to the side, cradling his ribs as he leaned against the cabinets. “Likes to take shit out on people that are trying to help him.”
Oh, hell no.
Mickey left Ian there on the floor, holding his nose and staring up at Mickey apologetically, and marched the two steps over to Lip. He stood close, toe to toe, and leaned in even closer.
“The fuck you just say about him?” he hissed in Lip’s bruised face.
Lip blinked.
“He just quit his job, Mickey, he tell you that?” Lip asked. “He tell you he threw away the only good thing this family has right now?”
Mickey paused. Cut his eyes down to Ian without moving out of Lip’s space.
“That true?” he asked, and Ian didn’t answer. His silence was answer enough.
Mickey turned back to Lip.
“So he quit that stupid-ass job,” he said. “You started a fight over that?”
“We need the money, Mickey!” Lip cried. “Not like you’re helping out, and we can’t all live off stolen cereal all the time!”
“Yeah? Our contributions not enough for you, college?” Mickey asked. “How’s your job doin’ right now?”
“Mickey,” Ian said from the floor, quiet.
“Not now, Ian,” Mickey responded. “I’m taking care of something.”
He let his voice drop, pushing forward enough that Lip should be able to feel the heat of his breath, the heat behind his words.
“You don’t get to put that shit on Ian,” he growled. “Or on me. You’re a grown ass man, start acting like it.”
“He started it,” Lip said. “Threw a damn bowl at me when I told him he needed to go beg for that job back.”
“Don’t care who hit who first,” Mickey said flatly, not pulling back. “Or why. You hit my husband again at all, and I’ll fuckin’ kill you.”
Lip swallowed, audibly. His eyes flitted off to the side.
“Whatever,” he said, feigning disinterest, and shoved at Mickey’s chest.
Mickey let him, falling back a step so Lip could move away from the counter. He watched as Lip left, not bothering to stop and help Ian, just going straight out the back door and letting it slam shut.
Mickey waited a breath, watching, but the door stayed closed. Then he went to Ian, and helped him up properly this time.
“You good?” Mickey asked. He didn’t specify as to what.
“Yeah,” Ian said on a sigh. “I’m good, Mick.”
“You sure?”
Ian offered a half-grimace, half-smile. “I’m sure. Families fight, Mickey, it’s nothing new.”
Mickey snorted. “Yeah, you think I don’t know that, wise guy?”
Ian’s smile turned real.
“Yeah,” he agreed. “Sorry, that was stupid.”
“It’s okay,” Mickey told him, then, “I’m kinda proud of you, you know.”
“For quitting that job?” Ian asked. “I know you hated it.”
“No,” Mickey answered. “For beating the shit out of Lip.”
He waited as Ian laughed, watching the way it brought life back into his pained eyes.
“Now come on,” he said as the laughter began to fade. “There’s a warm spot on the bed callin’ your name, man, go get in it.”
Ian skated a hand over Mickey’s hip as he obediently moved toward the stairs.
“Are you coming with me?” he asked, and Mickey nodded.
They would talk about it later, he was sure. About the job, about Lip, about the future. About why Ian felt the need to fight his brother in the middle of the house, in the middle of the day, over something he would have agreed with about just hours ago.
But that could wait.
“Sure, Ian,” he said. “Let’s go enjoy our fucking extended honeymoon.”

hi angel 🥰 i’m just in the middle of rereading calling home !!!! i was just wondering, could you ever do a one shot of like sweet pea calming frankie during the middle of the night if he has like an anxiety attack or nightmare? i love the dynamic between those 2 and would love to see how sweet pea calms frankie 🥺
Hi bb sorry this took me a hot minute to get to. First off... i'm thrilled you are re reading my series! Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: PTSD, anxiety, comfort, fluff
AN: This is early in their relationship. Probably right after chapter 5. Therapy also referred to in this drabble
Tumblr media
source: @uuuhshiny
You blinked up at the ceiling, sleep momentarily thinning. You heard low muttering beside you.
"Frankie?" You turned reaching over to his side of the bed. He was shaking and sweaty under your hand. "Frankie!" You sat up, this time going to the other side of the bed to flick on the bedside lamp. The dim yellow light revealed Frankie twitching and muttering incoherently. Sweat clung to his forehead. His mouth was pursed in between a frown and snarl. His jaw was clenched tight. His whole body was stiff as a board. He was deep in a nightmare. You heard him say something like "no no".
You had been over this scenario with Frankie. He advised you not to touch him when he was having nightmares in case he acted on instinct and accidentally hurt you. But now that it was real, you couldn't just watch him endure a nightmare like this.
"Hey... hey..." You stoked his arm with your fingers lightly. He jerked away from your touch with a grunt. When he turned his head you saw that there were tears in the corner of his eyes. "Oh, Frankie... Wake up please. Come on, baby. Please wake up." You just continued to slowly stroke his arm, his chest, eventually making your way up to his face. He seemed to be calming down.
Then he abruptly sat up, scooting away from you reflexively.
"Wha-What's..." He looked around the room and then trailed off when he saw you watching him, concern evident on your face. He wiped his wet eyes.
"Nightmare." You explained though you were sure he already knew.
"Did I hurt you?" He immediately asked, looking away in shame. His humiliation mixed toxically with his adrenaline and fear from the dream.
"No. You didn't hurt me." You answered quickly, pushing yourself up, but you resisted hugging him for fear he was still overstimulated. You offered your water bottle to him. "Do-do you want to talk about it?"
Frankie shook his head, looking down at his sweaty self. "It's the usual dream. The helicopter crash." He shuddered, trying to pull himself into the present and away from his distorted memory. He took a couple sips of water and then handed the bottle back to you. Mentally he did the exercises he had practiced. Name one thing you see: Sweet pea. Name one thing you hear: A passing car. Name one thing you feel: Soft sheets. Where are you? Home. Home. Home.
You waited patiently through all of this, giving Frankie space to speak when he was ready. He took a few deep ragged breaths, his fists clenched on the bed below you. Too scared to touch you yet. He worried that he may have scared you off. That now you would have seen that all of his demons were real.
"I'm sorry I woke you up, sweet pea." His gruff voice was dripping with guilt. You frowned, not in frustration at him but at the stigma that led him to feel so terrible about dreams he could not control.
"Frankie...you didn't bother me." You couldn't resist laying a hand over his bare stomach feeling him relax at your touch. "I'm glad I woke up. I want to comfort you."
He sniffed, new tears in his eyes. He was still looking away from you. You understood. It was such a vulnerable state for anyone, let alone someone who had endured as much rejection as Frankie had.
"Can I hold you? Is that okay?" You feel your own voice shake with emotion. Your power and your love was limited with him not in your arms. As much as you knew your voice could move mountains, you needed to console him with more than words.
"Yes. please." Frankie exhaled finally looking at you, his brown eyes misty and wanting. You wasted no time climbing over his legs and pulling his face into your neck. His arms linked around your back, holding you close.
His skin, that earlier vibrated like it was trying to break apart, settled under your touch. Solidifying enough so he could finally sense each part of his body. Hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and so on. He mentally listed each one as it related to you. Your hands on his head. Your chest on his chest. Your breath on his neck.
"I have you." You promised, knowing the words would help ground him. "I have you. I'm not going anywhere. Just be here with me."
"I'm so tired of this." He whispered into your warm embrace. "I just want to be better."
"I know." You sat back cupping his face in your hands, rubbing your thumb over that patch of grey in his beard.
"I was doing so well." He continued to beat himself up. He had been so pleased to have gone nearly a month without any nightmares or PTSD. He tried to think of something that could have triggered him but yesterday was a normal Thursday. He didn't drink. He didn't have a stressful customer at work. He had sex. He showered. Sometimes there was no trigger and that was the most unsettling type of episode.
Frankie ducked his head, resting his forehead in between your breasts. He wished he could crawl inside you and away from his thoughts. His PTSD made him nauseous and too hyper to sleep. He was both hyper-focused and dazed at the same time. Every nightmare always felt like an omen that things were going to get bad again. He was going to start craving and then eventually relapse.
You rubbed his back in slow circles trying to coax him into a more normal breathing rate. A minute passed, the only sounds were Frankie's rough breathing and your slower one.
"What else do you need?" You asked gently.
"Can you- can you light the candle please?" He requested in a muffled voice.
"Sure." You smiled, reaching over to his side of the bed and pulling out the lighter. Your candle, already well used, was soon flickering brightly. The floral scent you and Frankie loved, filled your brain making sleep slowly start to edge its way in. You could feel his breathing slow. "That better?"
"Mmhmm." He grumbled. Something about the scent grounded him to this chapter in his life; the one with you in it. He wasn't that lonely guy anymore. He wasn't in a war zone. He had everything he could ever dream of right in his arms... and yet... this still happened. "I'm sorry, sweet pea."
"What for?" You tousled his hair affectionally.
"For-for being messed up."
"Frankie..." You nudged his head up so you could kiss him deeply. You let him take the lead, pressing him tongue into your mouth and pulling you tighter against his chest. At your quiet moan he pulled back letting you finish your thought. You didn't care how many times you had to say it, touch it, kiss it into reality: Frankie was perfect the way he was.
"You aren't messed up." You murmured, holding his eyes with your earnest gaze. "You're strong. You're resilient and brave. I love you because of that. You're like... a phoenix. You rise from the ashes." Then you giggled. "Sorry I just thought of a hybrid between a catfish and a Phoenix."
"Ha." He laughed shakily, tightening his arms around you. "A fish on fire. Sounds about right."
"Or a bird with whiskers." You snorted.
He kissed you again, relishing your little giggles against his lips. You laced your hands with his.
"I'm here to remind you to be kind to yourself. Remember how far you've come. I'm so proud of you, Frankie."
Once again he reflected on how lucky he was to have you in the flesh. Your empathy amazed him. It had from day one but his awe grew monumentally tonight. You weren't scared. You saw all of his brokenness for what it was and you only loved him harder. He had to trust your vision of him when his own internal compass failed.
"You tired, little pea?" He chuckled when you yawned cutely, after trying to hold it in.
"No." You told a small lie, just to keep him from trying to put your needs first. You weren't going to sleep until you knew he felt safe. "How are you feeling? Be honest, please."
Frankie searched his body with another deep breath. "Better. I'm just really amped up from the adrenaline. But go back to sleep, little pea. I'll read or something.”
"Mmm read to me?" You asked holding back another yawn.
"Sure." He chuckled. You rolled off of him pulling the covers back over you both. Frankie grabbed his copy of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. You latched onto him like a koala bear and hung onto his deep voice. Frankie appreciated the weight of your arm on his stomach and head on his chest. You could hear his heartbeat below your ear slowing.
Frankie paused his quiet oration to peer down at your relaxed face and fluttering eye lids. "I love you, sweet pea."
"mmm love you too." You breathed in reply.
For the first time, Frankie was able to go back to sleep after his nightmare.

Here’s The Deal
Tumblr media
Pairings: Mark x Reader, ft. 00′ line (Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin)
Words: 5.9K
Warnings: Language (there is almost always language in my writings), slight smut, angst
Summary:
Y/N gets caught in a tight situation as she discovers that her relationship was a lie. Mark knows just how much she really means to him, but how can he prove it after what he’s done? How much was real?
Tumblr media
“Hi Y/N!”
“Oh hey Mark,” you say as you slide into your seat and rest your forehead on your desk. You let out a deep sigh.
“What’s up?” He asked laying his own head down to face yours.
You let out another exaggerated sigh, “Nothing. I just didn’t get much sleep last night. I was up all night working on my writing assignment for philosophy.”
“Oh… Well maybe you and I can go to that one cafe to get coffee together. Maybe lunch?” Mark offered quietly.
“Huh?”
“You know, after class so you can wake up.” He said, quieter and less sure of himself.
“Oh… Well, I actually don’t like coffee. But thanks for the offer anyways.” You said, lifting your head up slightly, just enough to give him a weak smile.
Mark looked at you, furrowing his eyebrows and biting his lip. He gives you a slight nod before leaning back in his chair. He then turned his head to the right shaking his head at his friends that sat adjacent to him.
THE NEXT DAY
“Just ask her!”
“Shhh! Don’t talk so loud!”
“Grow some balls man!”
“Guys can you just shut up?! This is not helping. Telling me to man up is not going to get her to say yes.”
“Well maybe, stop beating around the bush and straight up ask her!”
“Would you two shut up? You are not the one who has to---”
“Oh hey guys. What are you still doing here? Class ended like half an hour ago?” You say, accidentally interrupting their conversation.
“Uh.. We’re uh… just discussing our project for uh… drama? Yeah. Drama.” Mark’s friend Jaemin answered.
“Drama? Why the hell would we be in drama?” Renjun hissed at Jaemin. After a couple seconds of painful silence Jeno nudged Mark forward.
“Uhh.. yeah. What are you doing here?” He asked stumbling towards you a bit.
“Oh… I just left my notebook here.” You said pointing towards the blue spiral notebook on one of the desks. “I’ll just grab it real quick and let you guys get back to your… discussing.” You said, giggling a little at the thought of them doing drama.
“Mark! Do it now!” Haechan whispered to Mark pushing him into you. As you struggled to keep your balance from the new weight of Mark, he wrapped his arms around yours to stabilize the both of you.
“Oh, sorry.” he said, quickly shoving himself away from you as if you burned him.
“Actually we’re done discussing our project, right Jaemin?” Jeno said, looking sharply at his younger friend, who nodding vigorously at you. Before you knew it they were gone and you were left alone with Mark.
“Hey, maybe… do you want to… watch that new movie that came out? Crazy Rich Asians?” Mark suddenly asked out of the blue.
“Oh! Yeah I heard that was going to be really good. I’d love to go! My roommate really wants to see that, I’ll ask when she’s free.” You reply excitedly.
Mark let out a sigh of exasperation before grabbing your shoulders and forcing you to face him. “Are you totally oblivious or just trying to let me down easy?” He asked staring into your eyes. For some odd reason you couldn’t seem to look away and suddenly your heart skipped a beat.
Tumblr media
TWO WEEKS LATER
You and Mark had been dating for a month, ever since he confronted you and made you realize your feelings for him.
For the short amount of time that the two of you had actually been dating, you two were really close. You had gotten physical pretty quickly, although you didn’t mind it too much. Mark was something else, he made you feel things you had never felt before and it had become almost addicting.
However, despite this the two of you haven’t slept together yet, after all it was only a few weeks of dating, way too soon for you. On multiple occasions you had gotten close but were interrupted, you were secretly thankful that the two of you couldn’t go further.
Your relationship wasn’t about the physical, Mark made you happier than you thought was possible. His constant laughing and goofy smile always had you thankful to have him around. He really did brighten your day.
Mark was sweet and thoughtful, always coming up with spontaneous dates for the two of you and kind gestures that made your heart skip.
You’ve never been in love before, but maybe, just maybe you were on the right track this time.
It was Saturday, and for once you had panned a surprise for your boyfriend. A picnic date. You climbed the few flights of stairs that led to his dorm, which he shared with Haechan and Renjun, two of his friends that you were acquainted with. Nothing more than a couple of interactions, but you’ve never run into them at their dorm, save for the time they caught you and Mark in a compromising position.
Just as you were about to knock on his door, you heard voices behind the door. You knew that you shouldn’t eavesdrop, but you couldn’t help but lean in.
With your ear pressed against the door, you could clearly distinct between each of their voices.
“I don’t know. I’m so close it's just frustrating!” Clearly Mark.
“Why don't you just go for it? Why are you dancing around?” Jeno?
“I don't want to make her do anything that she doesn't want to. Especially if she’s not ready.” Your heart swelled at Mark’s response.
“What do you mean? Why do you care?” You frowned at Haechan’s response, why wouldn’t he care?
“Ha! Don't tell me you’re actually starting to like her?” You froze.
Her? Is there someone else? Is he talking about me?
There was a pregnant pause.
“Dude?!”
“... guys… stop.”
“She’s a fucking bet! Just finish it quickly, you’re so close. If you don’t we’re all fucked! You know that!” You felt like throwing up. A bet?
“Mark! Tae Oh will kill us if you don’t finish this! Please!” Finish this? Am I a game?
“I know! You don’t think I know that?! You think I want this?!”
With your ear still pressed firmly against the door, you let out a muffled cry.
“Fuck!”
As he yelled, you flinched and backed yourself away from the door.
You let out a silent sob and rushed back to your dorm room, leaving spilled contents of your picnic along the way. As you pushed your way into your dorm, thankful that both of your roommates happened to be gone, you threw yourself on your bed.
Your emotions were all over the place, you were sobbing, upset that you weren’t enough for him, upset that you were a bet, upset that he had made a fool of you. But like a flip of the switch you became pissed. He played with you, with your feelings as if you were nothing. Nothing he said or did was real, your whole relationship was a lie.
You wiped your eyes dry and wrung your hands, pausing when you felt the promise ring Mark had given you just recently for your one month anniversary. More angry than you had ever been you ripped your ring off your finger and chucked it across the room hitting the door. It bounced off and landed under your desk, but you didn’t care enough to pay attention.
Just as you were cooling off you got a goodnight text from Mark. On any other day you would be swooning at the cute text, but today you were not having it. You ignored his texts and ended up falling asleep before your roommates ever made it back.
The next morning you woke up to your alarm blaring, looking at the clock you realized you hit snooze one too many times and rushed to the door. You made to class with little time to spare and even before the professor made it. You scanned the room for a seat, and found a few. There was one next to Mark, saved for you as usual but you stopped yourself, opting to sit next to Jisung. You smiled awkwardly at him as you sunk into the seat. You felt your phone buzz again and ignored the text as soon as you saw Mark’s name on your screen. You sigh and ignore the text, pulling out your notebook and start doodling.
Mark frowned to himself a couple of rows behind you. He couldn’t focus the entire class and couldn’t help but stare at you confused. Before he knew it the class was over and you were rushing past him, not even sparing a glance. Before he could gather his things you were gone.
To be honest, it was a lot of work avoiding Mark. It’s like he had it on his agenda to track you, normally you would absolutely love it, but as of right now that was the last thing you wanted.
At some point you were out of energy and could no longer continue the chase.
“Can we talk?” Mark asked, nervously wringing his hands together.
You sighed, thinking that there wasn’t really much else you could do. Stopping in your tracks you plopped down on the empty bench you were close to passing. You tried to hold back a scoff, sure that he was worried about losing his bet. It took everything in you not to throw that in his face and stalk off.
You heard Mark let out a relieved sigh, collapsing into the spot next to you, but consciously leaving a respectable gap between the two of you.
For a moment the two of you sat in silence, neither wanted to get to the discussion at hand.
“What happened?” There was a quiver in his voice and you cursed your heart for wavering at the sound. No matter how upset you were, you still liked him and could’t help but feel guilty at suddenly ghosting the desperate boy.
You glanced at his side profile and admired him. He was leaning over his knees, staring intensely at his shoes.
For the first time since you overheard his conversation you thought about his position.
Why did he even do the bet in the first place? Mark was a nice guy, at least that’s what you had always thought. And why was Tae Oh threatening them?
You recalled what you had heard. Jeno had said that Tae Oh would kill them if Mark couldn’t finish the bet. Did that mean he was in trouble?
With one last glance at the forlorn boy next to you, you had decided. It was a stupid idea, and it would only hurt you, but for some reason you couldn’t stand the thought of Mark suffering. To the point where you would put him before you.
“Nothing happened.” You mumbled out, your internal conflict starting to give you a headache.
His eyes searched for yours, “Why are you avoiding me?”
“I’m not.” You gulped, refusing to meet his eyes.
“I swear you just ran the other direction, and it took me so long to get you to talk to me. If I did something wrong we can talk about it, otherwise we can’t fix it.” He pulled your hand into his hesitantly, rubbing softly over the skin, sending warmth through your body. You didn’t miss the frown on his face when he noticed your ring wasn’t on the usual finger.
You pulled your hand out of his, wiping your palms on your jeans and fumbling with your fingers.
“I promise you nothing is wrong, I’m just stressed about school. You know cause finals are coming up.” You hoped he would fall for it, after all he knew how you were during testing periods.
“Right.” His eyes shook, “How about we have a small date night, that’ll make you feel better, right?”
You nodded at nothing in particular, eyes now trained on the bird that was digging for dinner in front of you.
“I’ll pick you up at seven then? We can get take out a watch a movie.” He asked, nodding to himself.
“Uh, I’ll just go to your dorm, I have stuff to do anyways, it’s on the way.” You rejected his offer, not thinking you would be able to pretend for a whole car ride.
“Right.”
You stood up abruptly, not able to take the tension any longer. “I’ll see you tonight then.”
Then as fast as you could you escaped.
Tumblr media
You had spent the last few hours thinking about what the bet could possibly be. Tae Oh was one of Mark’s seniors, you often saw them in the same group, but he was notorious for be an ass. There was nothing more to say about that. Tae Oh was an ass and you didn’t doubt for a moment that he was capable of making Mark’s life hell.
Groaning, you ran your hands over your face. Why did you have to care?
You racked your brain for any clues. The other day you had heard Mark saying that he didn’t want to push you. Push you into what?
Tae Oh would’ve only had two things in mind when making the bet, break your heart or sleep with you. You frowned, Tae Oh didn’t know you that well, why would he want to break your heart, and as a horny college student it made more sense for him to want Mark to sleep with you.
Your eyes widened in realization. That’s why they said he was so close. Mark and you had gotten intimate, but never actually did anything. He must have told them that and that’s what they meant by getting close.
You chewed on your bottom lip. Could you do that for him? Honestly, before this whole situation you would’ve been more than willing to sleep with him on your own accord, god knows you were close. But you were starting to feel uncomfortable with the thought after knowing his intentions.
“Y/N?” You jolted up straight, “What are you doing? How long have you been there?”
Mark rubbed the back of his neck, tilting his head in confusion.
“Oh, not long, I was just about to knock.” Your face heated up in embarrassment.
“Oh hey Y/N.” You made eye contact with Renjun who was sitting on the couch with a book, feet in the position of kicking a very focused Haechan.
“Stop it. You’re going to make me die.” Haechan retaliated with a quick shove, “Hey Y/N.”
Though he didn’t look at you, you still smiled at the interaction.
“Let me kick them out, I told them you’d be over around seven.” He laughed quietly at the scene.
“Renjun, you asshole! I died!” The bright flash on the TV screen was proof and Haechan didn’t look like he was going to let it go.
“Guys! Y/N’s here, I told you she was coming.” The other two froze, staring at Mark like they were having a silent conversation before Renjun slammed his book shut.
“Right. Haechan, there’s that new place down the street that has great tacos, let’s go.” He nudged the pouting counterpart aggressively.
“But my game-”
“Haechan.” Renjun raised his eye brows while staring down Haechan, no doubt a sign that it was a chance for Mark to complete the bet.
“Oh. Yeah... I like tacos.” He stood up giving you a short salute. “Bye Y/N.”
He couldn’t help but send a wink in your direction, making you wince in reminder of your situation.
Before you knew it, it was once again just you and Mark.
“So I already ordered, do you want to choose a movie?” Mark made his way to the now unoccupied couch.
“Sure.” You shuffled behind him, mind not really thinking about the movie.
As you fell into the cushion of the couch, Mark slid close to you, eliminating any space that might’ve been between you two.
He pulled you into his arms, gripping you tightly as if he was worried that you would slip away.
“Let’s just stay here for a moment, we can choose a movie when the food gets here.” He mumbled into your neck, eliciting an automatic sigh in response.
“You know I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you on purpose right?” You tensed at his confession, obviously referring to the bet.
“Hmmm.” There was nothing that you could do but hum in response.
Mark began to pepper soft kisses along your neck, leaving a little trail of love bites. You unconsciously opened your neck, giving him more access.
His kisses got deeper, leaving what you know would be dark spots, proof of possession. Soon he reached your mouth, pulling you in. He nipped at your bottom lip, asking for access, to which you gave him without hesitation.
Your hands moved to tangle in his hair, gripping softly and tugging him closer. He groaned into your mouth in response, and you could feel the tips of his mouth curve into a smile.
His hands which were once rubbing your waist, gripped you tightly, pulling you onto his lap where you were forced to straddle him.
For just a moment he was forced to pull away, looking up at you with smiling eyes, searching for the same in your own.
You couldn’t do anything but crash against his lips, leaning your body into his. There was nothing but the thin layers of your shirts, the rapid beating of his heart easily felt, and you knew that he could feel yours as well.
One hand reached up for your neck, a way for him to lock your head in place, digging deeper. The other hand meandered its way to your thigh, massaging your inner thigh, causing you to grind yourself on his lap, getting growl from him underneath you.
You felt a change in him, his grip became more needy, you were sure there would be marks in the morning.
You pulled back for air, startled at the sound of someone at the door.
“Delivery!” Mark sighed, shaking his head for you to ignore it, as he leaned back in to resume.
“Mark, the food’s here.” You mumbled, keeping the distance between you.
“Forget the food, we’ll just order again.” You kept a hand on his chest, preventing him from starting again.
“Mark.”
“Ugh, fine.” You wiggled off his lap and collapsed in the seat you were originally in. Your eyes followed his back as he opened the door, paying for the food and holding the bag in his tight grip. He was especially tart with the man, in an obvious hurry.
Once the door was shut again he slid the food on the coffee table, and crawled on the couch towards you, having every intention of picking up where you left off.
“Mark, the food’s going to get cold.” You giggled at the sounds he made in protest.
He leaned against the back of the couch, throwing his head back in frustration.
“Fine, we’ll eat first.” He cocked his head at you slightly, choosing to ignore the feeling arising in the pit of his stomach.
You stuck your fork in the first container, popping it into your mouth before chewing thoughtfully.
“Mark...” you sighed, “I actually have something to talk to you about.”
You felt the knot in your stomach dissipate, knowing that confronting him would ease your mind. The plan of going through with it tonight didn’t sit right with you, and you knew it would bother you if you didn’t say something.
“Shoot.” He nodded, chowing down himself.
You let out a deep sigh, instantly catching his attention, and put down your fork.
His brows furrowed as he too set his down, a feeling that things were about to become serious.
“I uh...” you cleared your throat. “I actually know about the bet.”
He clearly stiffened and eyes widened at your admission.
“I can explain!” He rushed out, interrupting you in hopes of stopping whatever you were planning on saying.
“Okay.” You said, shocking him with how calm you were.
“Huh?”
“Go ahead, explain it to me.” Although you knew the gist of what was going on, you were actually curious to know how he got roped into something like this.
“Uh... how much do you know?” He cut himself off. “Actually I’ll just tell you everything.”
He reached for the cup of water in front of him, quickly downing it in hopes of drowning his nerves as well.
“Do you know who Tae Oh is? I swear it wasn’t a bet between my friends, they would never do that.” He gulped, watching your blank expression. “I think you’ve met him before, he’s not a great guy.”
There was an obvious shudder from him. “About a month ago he made a bet that I couldn’t get with a girl, and I honestly didn’t care what he thought. But... he has some stuff over Jeno’s head, and he promised that if I succeeded he would let it go.”
You pursed your lips at the mention of Jeno.
“I... I know I told you I’d tell you everything, but I’m not sure it’s right to tell you about Jeno. I can ask him to talk to you, but I can’t tell you.” He bit his lip anxiously, praying that you would understand.
You nodded, admiring his loyalty, despite his current situation. You gestured for him to continue.
“It’s not like I chose you, I would never purposely hurt you or do that to you. I... I honestly liked you a lot before he even suggested the bet.” He gave you a bashful look, a sudden switch from his nerve wracking expression.
“Tae Oh chose you, I think he did it because he knew that I liked you. I mean back then I wasn’t exactly subtle about it.” A nervous chuckle escaped his lips. “I totally understand if you absolutely hate me now, I mean I would too.”
You looked at his dejected form, “I don’t hate you. If I did I would’ve broke up with you the moment that I found out.”
He looked at you with a confused expression, “Why didn’t you break up with me?” There was a hint of hope in his voice. He wondered if it was possible for you still to like him after what he had done, or was supposed to do.
It would’ve hurt your pride to admit you still liked him despite his actions, so you chose to go with the pity card. “I overheard you talking in your dorm, and someone mentioned that Tae Oh would kill you if you couldn’t finish. I know Tae Oh could really make your life miserable, and I didn’t want to be responsible for that.”
Mark visibly saddened at the idea that you didn’t like him, that you didn’t want to feel guilty about the aftermath.
“Here’s the deal,” you let out, finally coming to a conclusion, “I can’t sleep with you. I don’t feel comfortable with that anymore.”
Mark winced, feeling a tight lump grow in his throat at the thought of you not able to stand him, and the thought that he makes you uncomfortable.
“I don’t want Tae Oh to win though, for both your sake and Jeno’s.” He made eye contact, clear that he was shocked.
“I don’t know what the rules are, or what proof you have to have, but I’ll help you with that. But that’s all I can do.”
Mark didn’t look thrilled at the idea, if anything he looked dejected. However grateful he was that you were willing to do this to help him, he couldn’t help but wish you didn’t pity him. If it weren’t for Jeno he would’ve rather taken punishment from Tae Oh, after all that’s what he deserved.
Tumblr media
“Mark, you have no idea what this means to me. Thank you so much.” Jeno grinned at him, wrapping him in a suffocating hug, making Mark feel worse.
“Right, it’s not like I couldn’t do it for you.” It was monotone, he was unable to show his real feelings about the situation.
“So how’s Y/N?” Jaemin asked, watching the interaction.
“What do you mean?” Mark furrowed his brows and directed his attention at the other boy.
“Well, you guys can still date, she doesn’t have to know it was a bet.” He shrugged as if this was the most obvious thing in the world. Oh how badly Mark wanted that statement to be true.
“No.”
“No? What do you mean?” It was Jaemin’s turn to be confused.
“We broke up.” Mark avoided eye contact with anyone else, staring up at the sky and squinting in the bright light.
“Why? Did you tell her?” Haechan asked, “I didn’t think you had it in you to do that right after the bet was over.” He frowned to himself. “Don’t you think that was too harsh?”
Renjun elbowed Haechan in the side, shutting him up. As one of the more attentive of the group, he could see the way that Mark was acting in response.
“What could I do?” Mark shrugged, trying so hard not to let his voice crack and play it off like he didn’t care. If only they knew that it was the other way around. But he took Haechan’s blows, after all he deserved it, he was the cause of it anyways.
Tumblr media
“Y/N! Hey!” You heard Jeno’s footsteps sidle up beside you, the faint breathing evidence that he had jogged to you.
He shoved his hands in his pockets, suddenly embarrassed to thank you.
“Um, thanks. I just want to let you know that it wasn’t like it seemed, Mark was just trying to help me. He’s not a bad guy, I know he probably seemed harsh, but he really didn’t want to do it.”
He gulped, and peered over at your face, more than shocked at the fact that it was expressionless. Too similar to the one they had gotten used to seeing on Mark.
“I know.” You hiked your bag up higher on you bag, gripping tightly on the straps for support.
“Mark really likes you. For real. He’s been really upset, beating himself up for it you know. He won’t admit to it, but we all can see it.”
You squinted your eyes closed, trying to ignore the underlying meaning of Jeno’s words.
“He wouldn’t ever just use you like that. You know him.”
You had enough.
“Do I? Because this was a far cry from the Mark that I knew, or at least I thought I knew.” You sent one last look before escaping out the doorway, leaving Jeno behind with a hurt look.
Jeno never wanted to hurt either of you, but it was a consequence of his stupid decisions. And now other people had to pay for his mistakes.
Tumblr media
“Y/N.” You stopped in your tracks, it seemed that no matter where you went you couldn’t get away from them.
“Renjun.” You replied curtly, having nothing else to say to him. Beside him was the familiar pair of shoes, one’s you would always recognize.
Mark shyly lifted his hand to greet you, but dropped it as if he realized that he no longer had the right to.
Renjun, ever the observer watched the interaction, taking in the tense air between the two of you.
Tumblr media
“Guys I’m telling you something’s not right. I know it was stupid, but Mark is really suffering.” Renjun spilled to the rest of the boys, “We ran into Y/N and he looked so depressed. It was really bad.”
“Well, of course it’s gonna be bad, Mark basically used her.” Haechan let out, never thinking about his words.
“Haechan!”
“What am I wrong?” He raised his eyebrow in question.
“You don’t have to say it like that.” Jaemin scolded, glancing at Jeno who seemed more stoney than usual.
“He’s right though.” Jeno let out. “It’s my fault, I never should’ve let Mark do it.”
“Jeno, you didn’t know what Tae Oh was going to do.” Jaemin comforted him, to which he was met with empty eyes.
“I ran into Y/N, but she wasn’t having it. I don’t think she’ll ever forgive him.” Jeno dropped his head in his hands.
There was a silence as none of the boys knew how to comfort him.
“What’s going on?” Mark stood in the doorway, watching the scene before him unfold.
“Nothing.” Renjun quickly covered up.
“Jeno? What’s going on?” Mark ignored Renjun’s excuse and focused on the downtrodden boy.
“I’m sorry.” Jeno’s voice sounded broken, leaving Mark on edge.
“Why?”
“It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have let you do it. I swear I didn’t mean for anyone to get hurt. I tried to explain everything to Y/N, I’ll try again, I promise.” He pleaded with Mark, hoping that he would forgive him.
“Oh.” Mark stepped back from Jeno, the emotionless tone coming through again.
“Please, I promise I’ll try to fix things.”
“Don’t, it’s fine. There’s nothing to fix anymore.” Jeno hated the look Mark had on his face. “Don’t bother explaining, she already knows everything.”
“What?” Renjun butted in, unable to hold his curiosity.
“She overheard everything. We didn’t actually sleep together, she just let me pretend so we would win the bet.” Mark picked up his bag that he had dropped on the floor earlier.
“But-”
“Jeno, it’s fine. Explaining won’t change anything. There’s nothing you can do to change it. Don’t stress yourself out, or blame yourself. I’m just as much at fault, I chose to do it.”
With that Mark, left the same way he came in, no longer feeling like he could stand to be under the scrutiny of the other boys.
“Wait, she knew? And she faked the whole thing for him?” Haechan scratched his head, still processing the bomb Mark dropped on them. “But doesn’t that mean that she still cares about him? Why would she do that for him?”
“Haechan for once you didn’t say something stupid. I agree. I think we should talk to Y/N, chances are if she did that for him, she still cares about him.” Renjun nodded enthusiastically, eager to fix the situation.
“I’ll do it.” Jeno said, gritting his teeth.
“Jeno.”
“No, I fucked everything up, I need to fix it.” He turned to Jaemin, placing a hand on his shoulder, reassuring him.
Tumblr media
“I know what you did.” Jeno blurted out, startling you.
“What do you mean?”
“I know you and Mark didn’t actually sleep together.” The look on his face slightly scared you, and you weren’t sure whether him knowing was a good thing or not.
“Did he tell you that?” You cocked your head to the side, trying to feel out the situation.
“Yeah, and I know why you did it too.” Jeno leaned down, getting eye level with you. “You still like him don’t you?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I did it cause I felt bad. I didn’t want to feel like it was my fault you guys would suffer.” You looked away from him, watching the stream of students exit the library. “And no, how could I like him after that? He used me.”
“You know exactly why though, if you’re going to hate anyone, hate me.” His words more aggressive, a tactic he was using to redirect your anger.
“I don’t hate him,” you mumbled out, “and I don’t hate you.”
“See, you did that because you still care about him.” He prodded, “If you didn’t you would’ve never let him pretend to go through with it.”
He paused letting that sink in, “For what it’s worth, he still cares very much about you. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so depressed.”
You sighed, “I don’t want him to be depressed.”
“Then you should talk to him. I know you guys still have feelings for each other, and honestly it’s hurting you guys more to ignore it.” He raised his eyebrows earnestly, giving you a tempting offer.
“I know for a fact that if you were willing to take him back, he would beg for forgiveness. Mark loves you Y/N.” The last bit came out soft, but it had the biggest impact.
Your heart ached, yearning for him despite the situation.
“Just talk to him. I know I don’t deserve to ask that of you, but I’m begging you, for Mark’s sake.” You had never seen Jeno this distraught before.
All you could do is nod.
“Y/N?” Mark froze at the sight of you standing on the other side of the door.
“Can we talk?”
“Yeah, com- come on in.” He stuttered, embarrassed at how nervous he was. “Do you want something to drink... or?”
“No, I’m fine.” You mumbled, staring at your sleeves. “I just wanted to talk about, you know.”
“Right.”
The two of you took the chance to settle into the familiar couch, memories of your relationship coming back to you.
“I don-”
“I know-”
You blushed at the awkward atmosphere.
“You first.” Mark let you continue.
You cleared your throat. “I talked to Jeno.”
He nodded silently, “I told him to stop bothering you, I’ll talk to him again.”
“No, there’s no need.” You let out, “We talked about some things, more specifically things between us.”
Mark gulped, unable to see where you were going with this.
“I’m probably really stupid for doing this, but I’m obviously attracted to stupid.” You tried to joke, referencing Mark. No matter how much you tried to relieve the tension, it still hovered over you like a think cloud.
He let out a nervous laugh, dying out to let you continue.
“You have no how much I wanted to hate you when I found out. And you have no idea how much I hated myself for not hating you.”
Mark sat up at the insinuation that you didn’t hate him.
“Mark, I still like you a lot. There’s a part of me that hates myself for liking you even after everything, but there’s a larger part of me that tells me that this is more important.” You took a deep breath, struggling to finish your thought.
“I love you.”
You choked back your breath in shock, you weren’t expecting him to confess so bluntly.
“I was stupid and I hate that I did that to you, but I want you do know that I don’t regret helping Jeno, I just should’ve gone about it a different way, one that wouldn’t have any casualties. I would’ve begged on my knees if I had to, but I didn’t feel like I had the right to. Honestly, I figured I would be doing you a favor by leaving you alone.” His nervous tick of picking at his nails made it clear that he was just as nervous as you were.
“I don’t want to praise you for doing something like this, because it was stupid and hurtful, but I’m glad you were able to help Jeno.” You smiled at him, “He’s really thankful, you have know idea how many times he let me know that. He also kept me updated on you, and that definitely didn’t help my feelings go away.”
Mark felt a surge of happiness rise in him, the realization that you still like him, the hope that this wasn’t the end of your relationship, and the gratitude that his prayers were answered.
“Mark, I love you too.”

hi elliot! can you do a drabble or hcs of how kuroo, the miya twins, oikawa, and bokuto would propose to their s/o? if that's a lot of characters, then pls just take your pick but pls include kuroo! thank u so much!! btw i really like your "they accidentally hurt you" post. it provides realism and a middle ground to the usual extremes we see in reader-insert content - idyllic/saccharine vs dark content (•ˇ‿ˇ•)
how they propose to you 𓍢 ᭡
Tumblr media
includes : oikawa , kuroo , bokuto !
warnings : some misunderstandings in oikawa’s from a prank lolol , some cursing !
a/n : hi anon! ur my first anon message and you warmed my heart<333 also i lowk got inspiration from bokutos from a spanish music video i watched in spanish class today, sue me lololol
Tumblr media
oikawa tooru
he’s just dumb
he thought it would be funny to try to prank you
dumbass
butttttt knowing his luck, it didn’t go as planned—
okay, well, it started off innocent— he planned to try to casually slide it in, maybe catch you off gaurd, then get down on his knee and ask you to marry him!
but, when you were on top of him tickling him, he wanted to get back at you.
and like tooru oikawa, he didn’t fully think it through.
“mei! stop!” he laughed, as a joke. it was supposed to be a joke.
you stopped your fingers that were wiggling by his sides. you slumped on his lap. “what?”
he peeked at you and smiled. “what do you mean what?”
“who’s mei?”
“i didn’t say mei,” he replied, your eyes watered and you got off of his lap. he sat up and stared at you. “y/n? are you okay?”
he got up but you already were in your room, slapping the door shut.
“stupid tooru! you made ‘em upset,” he scolded himself quietly.
when he walked up to your shared room, he heard the sniffles and sobs that came from the other side that broke his heart. he knocked on the door three times before entering.
“honey,” he walked over to you and hugged you. you sobbed into his chest.
“how long has it been going on tooru?” you asked through your sobs.
he pet your hair, “what do you mean baby?”
“don’t act dumb! it’s like—“ you paused. “it’s like you’re trying to ignore the fact you’ve been cheating!”
he thought you knew he was joking. “y/n—“
“if you’re not going to tell me then i’m leaving,” you turned around to start packing your bags.
his eyes widened in panic. “nonono! no, shit—“ he was embarrassed. “i didn’t mean it! it didn’t happen! mei isn’t real!”
you stopped packing, “what?”
“she—it was supposed to be a joke. a joke to make you stop tickling me. it’s dumb because i don’t think things through. but that’s why i need you— i need you to be there so you can stop me from doing the stupid shit that i do,” he looked at you to see if you were looking at him.
and you were, you looked pissed. he sighed and bent down on his knee, pulling out the ring he had gotten weeks ago.
“y/n, i know i’m dumb. but please, forgive me for this stupid prank, and please stay with me forever. don’t leave, please.”
“stand up.”
he did so, and he wasn’t sure what to expect, but a slap across the face wasn’t it.
“you’re a fucking idiot, tooru oikawa,” you laughed, kissing him. “but— i suppose that’s why i’m here. and i’m not leaving.”
he beamed at those words, he wasn’t sure if he smiled wider in his entire life. he kissed your cheek repeatedly, “i love you so much
Tumblr media
kuroo tetsuro
PLEASE- he would set you upppppp
giving you hints, to where he is
but not random hints, it would be like a mini time line of your relationship
he would through a lil chemistry is there to mess with you
lovingly, though<3
you woke up alone in bed, a little confused since your boyfriend would always be there— to kiss you good morning.
you rolled over to grab your phone from its charger, looking at the text message from kuroo.
boyfrie tetsu<3
good morning baby<3 sorry i’m not there this morning, let’s play a little— hide and seek game, the prize is a big one!
the first hint: we didn’t quite meet there, but it was where i became your “boyfriend” for the first time
good luck baby!<3
you were confused by his text, and honestly, you almost wanted to ignore it. it’s too damn early for this.
but, you can’t. you knew he was going to be waiting for you, and you can’t leave him all alone.
your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you groaned and started your day. you still got dressed none the less, and went to a café you always go to.
as the barista handed you your drink, you saw a note on it.
dear y/n,
you’re probably here for your morning coffee, but, none the less, this is where we first started to ‘date’! that one guy who wouldn’t stop hitting on you, and your prince charming (aka me aka the most handsome man ever) came to your rescue;)
where we promised each other is your new hint, good luck!<3
you knew where it was once you read the bolder letters. you thanked, and tipped the barista. you were more than happy to remember the memory.
“tetsu, it’s so late out, what if we get kidnapped!” you ranted your anxieties to him.
“kidnapped? you think anyone would dare to fight your prince charming?” he kissed your head as you two walked. “we’re almost there.”
he led you to the bridge that curved over the water like a C shape. you both leaned forward on the cement railing and looked at the moon.
“i’m so in love with you, y/n.” he admitted out of the blue, you looked at him.
“i’m in love with you too, tetsu.” you leaned your head on him, he wrapped an arm around you.
“i know we’re only in highschool. but i promise, i’ll marry you.”
“i’ll be waiting for that day, tetsu. even if it’s till we’re sixty, or if we’re only in our young twenties and being stupid. i’ll be waiting for you.”
you both melted at each other’s words, you shared a passionate kiss.
you ran up to where the bridge was. your pace slowed as your boyfriend came into view. he was holding flowers, and a lock.
you panted, “i hate running tetsu.” you breathed out, he laughed at you. “i know, sorry.”
you stood straight, looking at what he was wearing. it looked fancier than usual. “what’s the lock for?” you asked.
he looked at it and smiled, “i remember, it was our second year of college. you were so mad that they changed the bridge. that they changed the fencing, and couples started to put locks on it.”
“..and?”
“and i was thinking we could do one too?” he questioned. you smiled and grabbed the lock. you bent down and locked it, he wrote both of your initials on it.
you stood up, but your boyfriend stayed on his knee.
“tetsu what are you doing?”
he pulled a little box from his back pocket, a few pedestrians stopped and watched what was happening.
“when we were sixteen, we made a stupid promise to each other at midnight on this bridge. and i promised i would marry you. y/n, i told you ten years ago, when we were sixteen, that i love you.” he paused for a second to look up at your face, which was in shock. “and i still do, so please, keep the promise and marry me.”
“oh my god, oh my god! yes yes!” you got on your knees with him. he laughed at you for getting on your knees with him instead of waiting for him to stand up.
you tackled him in a hug while other people clapped for you two.
Tumblr media
bokuto kotarou
tbh this stressed him out
he wasn’t sure when, how, or what to say
you two had talked about marriage and how you two would gladly marry each other
but he wasn’t sure when!!!
he kept the ring on him at all times just incase:)
you and bokuto were just returning from a walk. the snow was heavier than expected by you two, so when you got home to a pile of snow, you were thrilled.
“kou let’s make a snowman! like we did with your old team, c’mon!” you dragged him by the hand to your front yard.
you and bokuto were always childlike in your relationship, you two getting excited at the tiniest things that makes you two act like children. so when you saw the snow, you felt more than joy.
you began by making a small snowball in your hand, and rolling it as you walked around your yard, to form a big snowball for the base. by the time you were done with the biggest snowball, bokuto was done with the medium sized one.
“okay, if we pick it up at the same time, it shouldn’t break,” you lifed the medium sized snowball with him. you set it on top of the biggest one.
“hey hey hey! y/n! let me make the tinniest one while you get the scarf, carrot, and eyes and smile,” he suggested. you nodded and kissed his cold cheek before heading inside to quickly grab the items.
you grabbed a pink scarf, a white hat that kou got you one year, and a carrot and some coal for the eyes and smile.
when you headed outside, you saw the snowman was all made. your insides felt bubbly as your childlike happiness was showing.
you ran out to him. “i got everything kou!”
“okay! you decorate, and don’t turn around until i say so. i have a surprise for you,” he replied. you were confused at what the surprise could be, but you agreed none the less.
you put the carrot in the middle of the snowman’s face. you then placed the eyes, and tried your best to make the smile symmetrical.
you wrapped the scarf around it’s neck, and put the hat on top. “okay kou, i’m done! can i turn around?”
there was a short pause, “okay now you can.”
you turned around to him on his knee, holding out a ring. your mouth dropped open to see writing in the snow.
will you marry me? ♥︎
“yes! yes yes!” you basically screamed, tackling him and kissing him repeatedly.
“the ring! wheres the ring?” he questioned. you both started to dig it up in the snow, laughing at how stupid you two were.
you found it, and slid it on your finger. “i cant wait to marry you, baby.” your hands slid up and down his chest before you kissed him.

erotica, m | myg
pairing(s): yoongi x reader
summary: Your roommate, Min Yoongi, catches you masturbating. You catch him masturbating. Well then, dear reader... This should be interesting, shouldn’t it?
warnings: rated M (18+) for language, smut (fem reader, f and m-masturbation, cum eating); non-idol!AU; switches between Yoongi’s POV and your POV
--
Being in the music industry was rough. It meant long nights struggling for inspiration, fervent mania when it did hit, and crippling anxiety when it was being evaluated. But being a music producer was all Min Yoongi ever wanted.
He had given up a lot to chase his dreams, moving to the big city alone, friendless, trying to find his way, living meal by meal. He needed a roommate, but finding a trustworthy one was difficult. Friend of a friend of a friend and he finally found someone who seemed alright. A young woman in the middle of grad school, who was looking for a place to stay. At first Yoongi thought it would be weird to room with a girl, but one conversation and he realized it would be a good match. Her first question was if he was going to have guests over often. Of course not, Yoongi had music to work on. Her second question was if he was clean, because she couldn’t stand a dirty living situation.
In short, he now had a quiet, paying roommate who kept to herself, holed up in her room all day studying or rushing to class.
Yoongi worked for a small entertainment company, but he also had a home studio because he couldn’t afford to rent a space. This was enough for now. He asked if she was fine with a little noise and she responded by holding up her over-the-ear headphones.
But Min Yoongi had a secret.
Nothing that incriminating. Nothing like drugs or a gambling problem or a recurring STD or something like that. It was in innocent secret, a very small one.
Min Yoongi liked to read erotica blogs.
Now, Yoongi could watch porn. He could go through all the hoops and find some to jack off to. That wasn’t why he preferred to read smut stories online. He just liked to use his own imagination. He liked closing his eyes and painting the scene, but he wasn’t creative enough to dream up all the freaky scenarios he could read online. Some people had some… big brain energy. Some wrinkly brains. He was pretty sure all his gray matter was used on music, so why not let someone else craft the story for him? It took the work out the equation and he could get off. Win-win.
Also, it was much easier to hide it in public. All people would see is him scrolling on his phone, the same thing everyone else did.
Yoongi had his favorites he went back to. They were updated often. Every week there was something new. He checked at least once a week, since that was his usual routine his body wanted. And it was fine. No one knew. He could do it whenever he wanted and relatively quickly. So, all in all, not that bad of a secret, really.
It was six in the morning and Yoongi was scrolling on his phone, mildly horny. Oh! One of his favorite blogs had updated late in the night. Nice. He chewed on his lower lip, reading the summary.
There was a knock on his door.
He nearly dropped his phone. The door was locked, thankfully.
“Yoongi-ssi?” He heard his roommate yawn sleepily. “Did you drink the last of the milk?”
He screwed up his face to think. “Maybe? I’ll buy some the next time I’m at the store.”
He heard the sounds of teeth being brushed and a muffled, “Nah, I’ll place a delivery order right now. I need stuff.”
And that was that. He heard her wander off.
Okay, a very, very, very small part of him did kind of want to get caught. Not embarrassingly or shamefully caught. Just… maybe if it ended in something kind of sexy. Like the stories.
That was would fun.
Yoongi went back to his phone.
-
You cracked your neck in the mirror, yawning again as you brushed your teeth. You rubbed your eyes, inspecting your dark circles. Ugh. Maybe a little concealer today couldn’t hurt.
You had stayed up late again, writing.
You hadn’t meant to. It happened every once in a while, when the scene played out in your head and you needed to write it down immediately. When inspiration struck, you couldn’t let it run away from you. Sometimes the best things come in short bursts of energy.
At least you didn’t have class today. You were caught up on your classes, so you could spend today writing for your blog. What you posted last night was written several days ago. You had a slight backlog so that you could review things multiple times before posting. Even if it was something as meaningless as smut posted on the internet, you took that shit seriously. This was your outlet and you wanted to personally like everything you posted.
If what you wrote didn’t make you horny, it wasn’t going to make anyone else horny either.
You spat and rinsed out your mouth.
You stared at yourself in the mirror, your tired eyes looking back to you. Maybe you needed some socialization. Real socialization, not you eventually venturing outside because you needed to get laid for… research purposes. You chuckled. Well, you weren’t going to get that here. All your male roommate ever did was work on his music or eat. Which was alright; people were allowed to do what makes them happy. And besides, it was better that way, because you did actually need to study and eventually write your thesis. Less distraction at home was always better.
You turned off the lights in the bathroom and stepped out.
A strange noise came from Min Yoongi’s door.
You blinked, staring at the door several feet away from you. Then you shrugged. He probably just tripped. He was kind of clumsy sometimes, knocking shit over with his fat ass. Well, not really, but it was funny to think of it that way.
You went back to your room.
-
Oh fuck.
Yoongi stared at his door, clutching the toilet paper roll he hid in his nightstand. He was usually quite skilled at keeping quiet, but he accidentally moaned a little too loud. His hands were still sticky. He waited.
Her bedroom door down the hall closed and he sighed with relief.
-
When you got back to your room, you made the online grocery order. You needed pads anyway. Then you checked your blog. At this point, you had some familiar usernames you watched for. People rarely commented. Maybe their hands were busy or something. You could forgive. Besides, there were likes and that was enough. To be honest, you never expected anyone to actually do more than read. It felt kind of nice, knowing someone out there was willing to take one second to press one button to let you know.
It made you grateful, even if it was a small thing.
Your eye paused at one particular username. You only noticed it because it was gendered.
daeguboy0613.
Huh.
For the life of you, you couldn’t understand why someone would put their location and gender in their username. Maybe it was a reference to their favorite singer or something. Probably. You shrugged it off and flopped on your bed.
You fell asleep.
Big surprise since you had posted at four in the morning and only gotten up to brush your teeth because your mouth was too disgusting to exist. Ah well. Sleep was good.
-
You woke up, super groggy. You stared out the window, seeing that it was already dark. With a sigh, you looked into the tiny mirror beside your bed. Yikes. A master yikes even.  You climbed your hair with your fingers and got out of bed, your purple pajamas rumpled and crazy. Maybe a shower would do you good. Or a bath. Oh! That sounded nice.
You looked around for your slippers. You found one. Ack, so annoying. You weren’t a messy person, but when you were preoccupied with something, you forgot everything else. You straightened your room and found the other slipper. It was in your blankets, oof.
You opened your door and realized you forgot clean underwear. You stuck your head out, looking around. Faint bass was coming from Yoongi’s room. He’d be there for a while. Eh. You still had your violet pajamas, with long sleeves and long pants. Fully covered. He wasn’t going to know in the two seconds it would take you to get to your room. A good shake of the fleece fabric and the wrinkles would fall out. You’d look way less crazy after a good bath.
You hummed to yourself as you made your way to the bathroom.
-
Yoongi rubbed his neck, frowning.
It wasn’t coming out the way he wanted. The sound just wasn’t right. He leaned back in his chair, furrowing his brow. Maybe he needed to move on for now. Leave it and work on something else. He spun around in his chair, lazing about. He hadn’t heard his roommate make much noise all day. Was she dead? Yoongi heard the water running in the bathroom. Oh. She was taking a shower.
He thought about her for a moment. She was generally calm person, quiet and reserved. The only time he had ever seen her panic was when she was late to class, which wasn’t often. Other than that, she was kind of boring. It was like the only thing she thought about was school. She was pretty in a casual sort of way. Yoongi rarely saw her dressed up, but the few times she left at night, she always looked very nice in a short black dress and black heels. Probably a recurring outfit she used at every outing. He could respect that. Being strapped for cash meant a lot of repeating outfits.
Anyway, they didn’t interact much at all. They had their respective things to do, so they co-existed in a mutualistic, symbiotic relationship. It was nice not having to be distracted by a bad roommate, so for that he was grateful.
-
You pushed back the shower curtain, dripping water.
That was nice. You waited as the bathwater drained. Your hair was wet, kind of by accident, but whatever, you needed to wash your hair anyway. Your brushed water off your body absentmindedly, poking your nipples. They were hard from the cold air.
Hm.
The water gurgled as you rubbed them slowly, sighing softly. That was nice. When was the last time you masturbated? You couldn’t remember. You looked at the bathroom door. It wasn’t locked, but what was Yoongi going to do? Open the door on you? Yeah, right. You pinched and pulled your nipples, sucking in a breath. It was nice to touch yourself, to cup your breasts and press them together, grazing your nails over the hardened nubs, imagining someone else’s hands touching you, wanting you.
You slid against the wall, moaning quietly as you played with your breasts, water beading on your skin. One of your hands slid down between your legs and slid around your folds. The wetness of your pussy was different from water, thicker, more viscous. Your eyes closed as you stroked your clit, slow and gentle and pretty. Imagining a tongue there, licking you softly, giving you just the right amount of pressure to build your arousal. No rushing, letting it last.
You ended up sliding to your knees, spreading your thighs wide to give your hand space. Your other hand played with your nipples leisurely, pinching and pulling, making your heart jump. You were quiet, barely making any noise.
Drip.
Your eyes opened hazily. They shifted slowly to the faucet. It was dripping water. Slow, fat plops hitting the bathtub.
Drip.
You pressed harder on your clit, rubbing roughly.
Drip.
Your eyes shifted to the silver faucet again. It was right there, after all.
Fuck it.
You turned the water on again, setting it to a nice temperature. You waited impatiently, touching the water. It heated up quickly. You bit your lower lip, and then raised the temperature a tad. It torrented down and, for a split second, you thought you weren’t going to do it.
Then you adjusted your hips and planted your ass on bottom of the bathtub and slid down to the water.
Instant, unyielding. You shivered, the blasting water jet-streaming right into your pussy. Holy fuck. You slid down a little more and moaned, hoping the water masked your sound as the high-pressure water smacked your clit, lowering to your elbows to get a better angle. Heart beating fast, legs folded flat against the edge of the tub, leaning your head back, tits straight up. It was a difficult position to keep, but a rewarding one, because the water was getting you off fast, gentle enough that you weren’t in pain but hard enough that you could really feel it radiate all over you, the heat adding to the pleasure.
So close, so close…
You closed your eyes, thighs burning, core tightening as your entire body began to throb. A slow hiss escaped your lips as you felt your orgasm unfurl and hit you, wave after wave of delicious pleasure swimming through you, spreading to every point of your body.
“Are you drowning or wasting water, the fuck is–”
Min Yoongi’s voice was trying to cut through your reverie but it was impossible because you were too far gone now, legs collapsing inward, body falling flat against the tub. The door was open and he was staring at you, eyes so wide they looked like dinner plates. Water flowed over your hot body, blanketing you. Slowly, slowly, you came down, like an addict losing their high. His mouth was slightly open, kitten-like. His white t-shirt stuck to his chest and black track pants far too oversized for his slim legs.
You might have been ashamed if you were younger, but you were older now. If he couldn’t handle you getting off every once in a while, then he was the one who needed help.
You reached up and turned the water off, panting. You quirked an eyebrow at him.
“If you’re so worried about it, I’ll pay the whole water bill this month,” you gasped, chest heaving as you glared back at him.
Yoongi sputtered back to life.
“N-no, that’s fine.”
And then he slammed the door.
You sighed, frowning. Now things were going to get weird.
-
Holy shit.
Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit.
He just witnessed his roommate masturbating with the goddamn water faucet.
Yoongi scrambled into his room and onto his bed, red in the face. He hadn’t meant to. He thought something weird was going on when he heard all the water. And, oh fuck, something was, but not the something he thought. His mind replayed the image for him, her legs spread, her breasts glistening with water, nipples hard and out, head tipped back and mouth open, tongue peeking out.
He was still hard.
His heart was thumping in his ribcage. Yoongi grabbed his phone and flipped through his liked posts. He had to get off. Now. Anything else could wait.
He slid in, hard, rough, gasping at her pretty lips opened and her eyes closed in bliss, enjoying his cock, just his, enjoying the way he felt, enjoying his hips slapping into hers and his cock twitching inside her.
Impatiently, he reached down and fished his dick out of his pants, sliding to his back and pushing his track pants down. Oh fuck, sweet relief. Yoongi stroked himself, reading, imagining her wet body, her slick hair, those fucking delicious breasts right in front of his face. Had Yoongi ever fantasized about his roommate before? Hell no, he wasn’t a damn pervert. But he was doing it now, because, fuck, how could he not? How could he not want to fuck her, press himself against her, hearing that soft moan against his ear, her wet body and smooth skin on his?
Yoongi dropped his phone, pushing his head back against the pillows, closing his eyes. Yes, he’d jacked off in the morning, but it was already late and he was so fucking horny it didn’t take very long for him to bite the inside of his cheek, trying to muffle his noise, trying to silence himself as the familiar wind-up came. He cracked his eyes open. His door was slightly ajar. Had he left it like that? Whatever, she was probably too embarrassed to come over here anyway.
Yoongi shut his eyes again, a soft cry leaving his lips as he chased his orgasm.
Then he felt it. A presence to his left. But he was so close, so close, so close, he couldn’t stop. His hand moved at a feverish pace, spreading the pre-cum over his length, adding to the pleasure. He felt lips on his cheek, her soft breathy moans against his skin. Was he imagining it? Then her lips on his, softly licking his tongue, so sensual and sexy that he was losing it, moaning into her mouth. He felt her hot breath glide into his and he groaned, too loud this time, feeling his cock twitch and spurt his cum everywhere, sliding down his hand, his wrist, onto his pants and shirt.
Yoongi panted, opening his eyes.
His roommate moved away from his face. Eyes dark in the low light of his room, pupils blown wide with lust. Her hair was still damp, slicked against her purple pajama shirt. He didn’t know what to do. Hos hand was a mess, covered in his cum. She leaned forward, tongue sliding out.
“Um…”
His thought was cut off as her warm tongue ran over his knuckles, scooping up his cum and eating it off his hand. His eyes went wide as she licked all around his hand, his fingers, dipping her tongue into the crevices. Yoongi could barely process what was happening right now. Was his nerdy, school-obsessed roommate licking his cum off his hand after he just masturbated? After he just witnessed her masturbating? Her mouth enveloped the head and part of his hand and Yoongi moaned, feeling her tongue press against the tip and tease the sensitive opening, licking it all clean.
After a sufficient amount, she removed her mouth and backed off. Yoongi blinked blearily, slowly detaching his hand from his limp cock. He didn’t know what to say. Or do, really. Her eyes were on his phone, screen still lit up. Then she shifted her eyes to his raised hand. Gently, she took him by the wrist and brought his hand to her face, placing his fingers in her mouth, sucking on them.
Yoongi was speechless.
Her tongue slipped between each finger, prodding around his joints, slurping slightly. She was still looking at his phone, eyes pensive. Yoongi wished his cock would wake up, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“I…”
Her eyes went to his, his fingers still in her mouth. Shit. His brain tried to process the thought, trying not to fixate on her pink tongue moving amongst his fingers.
“I can’t fuck you…” he mumbled, swallowing. “I already came twice today.”
She nodded. Slowly, she pulled his fingers out of her mouth, joint by joint. His body jerked at the movement, aroused but unable to get hard. Strings of saliva snapped as she removed her mouth from his hand. She turned it around and licked his palm lightly, making him shiver.
“You like my blog?” she finally said.
He blinked.
“What?”
She pointed to his phone. “That’s my blog.”
Yoongi’s eyes went wide. He stared at his phone and then at her. Then back at the phone. Then back at her. What? She cocked an eyebrow, smiling at him.
“So, you’re daeguboy0613, huh?”
He blinked rapidly. “I… what… ah…?”
“Guess that makes sense when you like my posts at two in the morning and such.”
She climbed on the bed – where were her pajama pants? Her panties? – and laid down next to him.
“You don’t seem like the type to read erotica,” she said absentmindedly. “I thought only girls read erotica.”
Yoongi stared at the ceiling. “Obviously not, since I’m a guy.”
She nodded. “You’re right. I shouldn’t stereotype like that.”
Silence.
“We can always do more in the morning, Yoongi-ssi.”
Two things happened that day. One, Yoongi’s secret was exposed. And two, the source of Yoongi’s secret passed out in bed next to him, head on his shoulder.

Prof Lupin x Werewolf Reader
Tumblr media
A/N not the best but i wanted so see if the idea could work.
Master list
It was a full moon the night before and buy the way you felt... it was definitely a bad one. You woke up that morning in the dungeons of Hogwarts with a pounding headache and 3 new scratches on your arm.
The walls were littered with deep claw marks and a light layer of brown fur, dusted the stone cell. You hated it. You hated being in that cell once a month. It was your second year doing the routine and it was driving you up the tiny walls. All you wanted to do at that moment was ease the pain on your arm.
TIME SKIP> LATER THAT DAY
Your classroom door creaked open, pulling your attention away from the charm you were casting.
In walked a lady in long, emerald green robes and a large pointy hat. She was on the older side and had her silver hair tied up in a bun that was hidden under her hat.
"Good afternoon Professor Mcgonagall" You chimed. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"I apologise, Professor but I must borrow you for the remainder of the class," She said, smiling at you with an apologetic look. There was no sense of urgency in her voice. She had a kind and respectable air around her that always made you feel at ease.
"Well children" you began, swishing your wand and muttering a spell that made the room rain blue slips of paper. "Looks like you have an hour to kill. Please take a paper to ensure that you don't get detention and Professor McGonagall will sign them on your way out."
One by one, your students filed out of the classroom and had their slips signed.
"Have a good afternoon, children," McGonagall said closing the door behind the pair of you.
As you entered the hall, you saw Professor Lupin waiting outside your door. This seemed a tad bit strange to you. For one, he was supposed to be teaching DADA to 3rd years at that time and second, he had been outside of your classroom before. A few times actually. The first time, you were in a rush and unable to talk. The second time, he managed to get out a polite greeting before a students spell blew up a statue.
Each time you mentally kicked yourself because over the few months he had been at Hogwarts... you had become a tad bit smitten.
Seeing that the two of you had exited the classroom, Lupin made his way towards you.
"Are you alright (Y/N), you look awful."
You sent your friend an amused look. McGonagall was fully aware of what you were but it never bothered her, Snape or Dumbledore.
"Professor Lupin." you said failing to hide your embarrassment." To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"I assure you, Professor (Last Name), the pleasure is all mine." He replied. He held eye contact with you for a second. It looked like he was about to say something before Minnie cut him short.
"Right. You two follow me. We mustn't keep dumbledore waiting."
McGonagall stopped in front of a huge door. With a strong push, the professor opened the heavy door enough that the 3 of you could get into her classroom.
"In you go"
"Minnie may I ask what this is about?" you asked only to be cut off mid-sentence.
"We will discuss that when we are in the classroom."
She let out a slight laugh "The pair of you look like scared children. There's no need to worry you're not in trouble, we just need to talk to you." The Professor asked guiding you both to the front of the room.
" Yes professor I'm fine" Remus answered her with a sigh.
Before you could answer her, the door opened, revealing the headmaster. He had the same calm air around him that McGonagall did but he also radiated power (In both magical and un-magical ways).
"Good morning Professor McGonagall, Lupin..." Dumbledore greeted. " (Y/N) ... any new injuries today?"
You fiddled with your shirt sleeve. "Nothing I cant take care of"
Dumbledore turned to Remus and asked the same question. The man took a quick glance at you before his eyes cemented themselves to the floor.
"I assume you are curious as to why you are here (Y/N)."
"To put it mildly professor" you joked.
McGonagall was amused but didn't show it.
"We're both Werewolves. You and I" Remus said trying to be confident as he planted his hands in his pockets.
The pair of you looked at each other for a moment in silence. You were both Werewolfs. No wonder you felt something when he was neer you. He was a lycan. Like you.
During the silence, McGonagall went to hold your hand in a supportive way.
"I'm sorry what?" you asked looking at Lupin.
"(Y/N) don't get upset. We were only doing what we.." It was your turn to cut Professor McGonagall off but you started awquadly laughing.
"What? why would I be upset?"
At the corner of your eye, you saw Lupin shifted his weight from one foot to the other.
"Is this why you've been trying to talk to me outside my classroom, Remus?"
The teacher paused for a second with panic before he scratched the back of his head. "y-yes. That's what I... wanted to talk about." He answered, the last bit of his sentence drifting off into nothingness.
You weren't convinced.
Time skip
Later that evening after making sure the students were in their houses, you retired to your chambers. You were in the middle of getting into your nightclothes when you heard a knock at your door.
"One moment!" You said scrambling to tie your robe.
It was too late for a student and it wasn't any supernatural being ether, it was Lupin. He had that same charming smile he hid when he first arrived and his hands still firmly cemented into his pockets.
"Remus!" you smiled, adjusting your dressing gown to shield yourself from the cold. " Is everything alright?"
"Yes, yes everything's fine... may I come in?" He asked chewing his thumbnail. "It's about what we discussed today."
That's when it clicked. Obviously he'd have questions about how to keep things quiet and how to avoid detection in a place like this.
"Oh yes, of course, come in," you said, opening the door to allow him in. "Take a seat anywhere."
The second he did so you thought of something else. Didn't he go to Hogwarts as a boy? He should already know how to do all of that.... right?
You closed the door and shuffled on your feet for a second. You had never had anyone in your chambers before so you weren't exactly prepared for guests.
"Sorry about the mess I'm not much for company. I'm sure you have a few questions. In all honesty, I do too. Do you want some tea? I'll go make some tea."
WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU SAYING??? TEA? WHY WOULD HE WANT TEA AT 11 PM?? words were spilling out of your mouth quicker than you could think of them.
"Are you alright, Professor?" He asked, snapping you back to your senses. With a sigh, you took a seat across from him, rubbed your face and took a minute to calm down.
"Forgive me Lupin I've been... feeling a lot of things, today."
You saw Remus sink into his seat a little.
"Good things all good things but you're not here to hear me talk about my stuff," you said shifting in your seat. "What can I help you with?"
He was fiddling with his nails. It took him a second before composing himself to look at you.
"All good things?" he asked.
You were taken back buy the question and paused for a second before answering him " ...Mostly good things."
He sank in the chair again. "And what was the bad thing?"
"... I was... a little disappointed." you said with a small sigh.
The cheeky smile wasn't on his face anymore. He looked upset.
"Remus what's this about?" when you didn't get a response you tilted your body to look him in the eye.
"Disappointed in what?"
"Honestly?" you asked. He gave you a nod and with a sigh, you gave him your honest answer.
"I was disappointed that the only reason you were waiting outside my classroom, was to tell me what we were. What we become. I was disappointed that, of all things we COULD have in common... to get us to talk... was that."
He turned his head to look at you and was greeted with kind eyes and s content smile.
"Other than that? ALL good things"
After hearing you say this, he sat up straight in his seat. You Practically saw the gears turning in his head.
"T-that.." he begun, picking his fingers again "That wasn't the reason."
Your eyebrows knotted together in confusion. Whatever he wanted to say made him nervous.
"That wasn't the reason I was outside your classroom. I just said that to avoid telling you the real reason."
This was getting interesting now. Why was he really there then?
"Then why?"
He paused and looked at you.
"Because I ... wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade with me."
You just got more confused. "Me?"
"Yes (Y/N), You."
He got off his seat to kneel in front of you and loosely held your hands in his own.
"And it's not because of what you are, It's because of WHO you are. You're this beautifully talented women who puts passion into everything she puts her mind to. Someone who isn't scared to be who she is."
You were shocked. You heard every word that came from his lips and you couldn't believe what he thought about you.
With a smile, you leant down and placed a kiss on his forehead. His head shot up to look at you.
"Thank you, Remus. Those are the nicest things anyone has ever said to me." You squeezed his hands.
"So is that a yes on the date to Hogsmeade?"  He asked a smile slowly finding its way to his lips.
With a wide smile, you leant down to give him another kiss on the forehead but instead he caught you in a real kiss. It was accidental on both ends but neither of you pulled away at first. When he did he was filled with embarrassment.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean for that to happen"
You laughed and kissed his cheek. "let's save the proper ones for Hogsmeade shall we?"

Temporary Home: Chapter 8
Guardians of the Galaxy fanfic | Reader x Guardians (With Yondu and Kraglin!)
Summary: Prank war engaged, who will win? Also, Yondu helps you with a little problem, Peter wants to watch another movie, and Rocket finally gets a surprise. Lots of fluff.
Previous Chapter here | Next Chapter Here Or click here to: Start From Beginning
Author’s Note: Slight sadness because I wrote out the whole Rocket seeing a real raccoon scene, then realized it didn't fit with the direction of this chapter, and now I have to save it for a future one. Poo. Also, for my records, this is day 10 of the Guardians living with reader. Also, Also: I love all the little replies you guys leave for me on this fic! This is a sideblog, so I can't reply to them in the notes, but I just want to let you guys know I love and appreciate them so much!!!!
Word Count: 5,561
You woke up a little nervous, Yondu's warning having gotten to you a bit. You couldn't remember the last time you pulled a prank, and now he's told you that you might have accidentally started a war with Kraglin and Peter? Just what you needed. Great.
The first thing you did, aside from seeing that Mantis was still asleep, was check yourself and your bed over to make sure they hadn't left any surprise pranks for you in your sleep. You even checked your reflection in your phone just in case one of them could have managed to draw on your face while you were sleeping, even though you knew that would be ridiculous... or was it?
Okay, so maybe you were more than a little nervous.
It didn't take long for you to scold yourself. Why should you be nervous? This was your home, you had the advantage. You weren't going to hide like some scared child from some pranks. As you got dressed you told yourself that you'd prepare yourself for anything they had coming your way. Shut it down. Nip it in the bud. Besides, what if Yondu was wrong? Maybe they wouldn't even to anything at all.
You'd barely finished that thought when Peter jump-scared you the second you opened your bedroom door, causing you to reflexively punch him in the face.
"Ow! Dude!" he complained, hands up to his nose and checking it for blood. Luckily there wasn't any.
You cover your mouth, both in horror and trying to mask your humor at the belated karmic justice for the door incident. "I- I really want to say sorry... but I suppose you had that coming..." you say, swallowing your laughter and making your way around him to escape into the bathroom.
Well, that confirmed Yondu was right... You should probably start thinking of some ways to either prank back or defend yourself. If they wanted a war, you'd be ready.
***
You fancied toast again for breakfast and that's when Kraglin struck, using your previous night's admission against you. He spidered his fingers over your sides while your back was turned. You didn't even know he had been in the kitchen, but you sure as hell felt the tickly sparks of electricity that jolted through your body and made you drop the knife as you spasmed under his attack with an embarrassing squeal.
He stopped almost as quickly as he started, doubled over and slapping his knee in laughter. "Oh! That's just too good!" he teased.
You look at him with narrowed eyes, noticing Peter standing not too far off, looking pleased. "So that's how it's going to be, huh?" you say, more of a statement that a question.
The guys only ginned in response and you turned back to your toast.
"I see," you say cooly.
War it was.
***
After you ate you thought you'd make a trip to the attic. You knew you might have an asset or two up there that would prove useful. One such being, a big old rubber spider, another being a whoopie cushion.
You pocketed the whoopie cushion for now, but, seeing as you were the only one upstairs at the moment, you took your opportunity to slip into the room Peter and Gamora shared and leave the spider under Peter's blanket. You hadn't been in that room since it became Peter and Gamora's, but you were able to suss out which bed was his easy enough. You had a feeling it was the one that was only half-assed made-up. Also, his jacket was laying on top of it.
You made your way out as quietly as you had entered and made your way downstairs, but not before grabbing a bath towel from the bathroom closet.
Once downstairs, you searched for Gamora, finding her washing up a dish she used for breakfast.
"Hey," you say, "Can I ask you a favor."
Gamora dried the dish, saying, "As a general rule I don't get involved in any mischief Peter gets up to." She knew Peter was wont to get into prank wars and after last night it honestly didn't surprise her that he might have chosen to start one against you out of boredom. Naturally, she just assumed you were coming to her to make him back off.
"Oh, no. It's nothing like that," you clarify, then quieter, "I was hoping I could ask if you would be willing to keep Rocket busy and downstairs for a bit?"
Gamora looked at you with a raised eyebrow. How unexpected. Why would you need that?
You realized this would go better if you told her the reason. "Here, I'll show you something," you say, inviting her to follow you out to the shed.
Once inside you revealed to her what you had been working on, but she only looked at you in confusion, probably because the bed frame hadn't been assembled yet. You had planned to wrap the pieces in the towel for transport and assemble the frame in the room, and you told Gamora as such.
"I made Rocket a bed frame. You know, since he keeps complaining about the crib," you say, not wanting to sound too much like you cared.
Gamora now added surprise to the confusion on her face, "But why do you need me to keep him busy?" If this was a peace offering, like she assumed it was, then why would you not just tell Rocket about it? She knew that he would surely be grateful to get out of that crib he was always complaining about.
"So I can get these pieces upstairs and put the frame together in his room," you say, stacking the pieces onto the towel.
Understanding came over Gamora's face. "Oh. You want to surprise him." She sounded a bit surprised, which was understandable considering how you and Rocket clearly didn't get along.
You paused, giving her an apprehensive look. "Not exactly."
She tilted her head slightly, an eyebrow raised.
"I'm just going to put it together... and uh... leave it."
Gamora stared you down for a bit before a slight smirk formed on her lips. "You do realize he'll likely ask where it came from, right?"
You make a face and return to rolling the bed pieces in the towel. "Not my problem. So will you keep him busy?" You finish and turn to look at her. "Please? It shouldn't take long, I just need maybe ten minutes, fifteen tops."
Gamora smiled and shook her head, beginning to wonder if Peter might actually be right that you were a bit shy. "Sure, I'll see what I can do," Gamora said with a smile.
Together you walk back towards the house, and you reach the door just in time to see it open as Rocket and Kraglin walked outside.
You freeze for just a second. This wasn't part of the plan, but maybe you could work with it. Outside was even better than just downstairs, right?
"What you got there?" Rocket asked suspiciously.
Kraglin also looked suspiciously at the bundle in your arms, although for a different reason, wondering if it could possibly be something used for a revenge prank.
You kept your face calm and collected, and simply said, "Nothing." with a shrug as you went to walk through the door, exchanging a brief look with Gamora, signaling that she should make sure he stayed outside until you could finish. She seemed to understand.
Rocket and Kraglin also shared a look, and next thing you knew Kraglin was following after and offering to help you carry the bundle and Gamora was making up something she wanted to discuss with Rocket to keep him outside.
"I don't need any help," you say nonchalantly as Kraglin shut the door behind the two of you.
"I bet. Wouldn't want me ruining any revenge pranks... would ya?" he smirked.
You look at him unamused. "This isn't anything like that. Go mind your own business." You start to turn to leave the kitchen and Kraglin takes the opportunity with your arms being occupied to wiggle a finger in your ribs.
You jerk, nearly drop your bundle, and glare at him, hissing, "Don't you dare!"
Kraglin chuckled and folded his arms. "Then why don't you show me what ya got wrapped up in that-there bundle?"
You roll your eyes. "You're such a child." you scold, before nodding toward the door and telling him to follow you if he wants to know so bad. You could have opened the bundle on the table, but you needed to be quick. You couldn't dilly-dally with showing him there and now.
You led your unwanted sidekick up the stairs and to the room Rocket slept in and knelt to lay the bundle on the floor to unwrap it. You turn back to him and say, "It's a bed frame- and we didn't have this conversation."
"Ya made the rat a bed?" Kraglin said, with just as much surprise as Gamora had when she was told. He ignored the oddity of you instructing him to forget the conversation, for now. "Thought ya two hated each other?"
You break his gaze. "I got bored. Don't read too much into it," you say, starting to fit the frame pieces to the headboard. "I just have to put the pieces together real quick, and now that you seen what it is, you can leave me alone to get it done, 'kay? Good." You were grateful you had done a test fit and all the screw-holes were now pre-drilled as you quickly spun them into place with the screwdriver you pulled from your pocket.
Kraglin didn't leave. He just stared at you putting the pieces together for a bit. Those bed pieces didn't look like they were thrown together last minute in a fit of boredom- it all actually looked decently made. He had a feeling that this must have been what you'd been running off to do in that shed over the past few days. "Ya know, I'm startin' to think ya don't actually dislike us as much as you let on."
You paused to give him a look briefly before turning back to work. "That would be reading too much into it," you say, attaching the frame to the footboard.
A chuckle could be heard in Kraglin's voice as he said, "Whatever ya say, ma'am."
You ignore him, turning the last twist on the final screw and placing the bed slats to hold the mattress. You stood with the intent to transfer the crib mattress over when you paused to look around. There was the double bed, where you assumed Drax slept, and the crib, where you knew Rocket slept. Where did Groot sleep if there was only two beds?
You turn to Kraglin, who for some reason still hadn't left you be yet, and asked him. "There was only two beds in here, where does the little one sleep?"
Kraglin shrugged. "I dunno. I think he just curls up with one of the others 'cause he's so little.
You nod thoughtfully. Your intent had been to transfer the mattress and put the crib back away in the attic to get it out of the way, but now you reconsidered. Might as well give the kid the option to his own bed... but that would require another mattress...
"I'll be back." You tell Kraglin, briskly walking past him towards your own room. If you remembered correctly, there was a spare in the attic. An old one that never got thrown out due to mostly laziness and forgetfulness. You retrieved it, knowing exactly which corner you'd find it in, and while you were there, decided to grab a small folded blanket and a sheet for good measure.
You rolled all this tightly together for the trip down the stairs and returned to a confused Kraglin. You threw everything on the frame, the mattress expanding back to life once you released it. You quickly fitted the sheet and shook the blanket open, floating it over the bed. You then retrieved the towel and your screwdriver from the floor, looked to Kraglin and said. "Done." and began to walk towards the door, shooing Kraglin on your way out. You hadn't thought to look for another pillow while you were in the attic, but the raccoon could survive without one for now. After all, there hadn't been one in the crib so he wouldn't be missing much. Not that you super cared or anything.
Kraglin kept looking at you strangely. "So, ya gonna go tell him now?" he asked, walking backwards for a bit while you made your way towards the end of the hall.
"Nope," you say, ditching the towel in the bathroom and then heading for the stairs. You were going to go find Gamora so she'd know she no longer needed to keep Rocket distracted.
"Is it a surprise?" he asked.
"Nope."
Kraglin followed you down the stairs. "Then why aren't ya-"
You stop on the stairs and look at him sharply. "You ask too many questions. Don't make it a bigger deal than it is, 'kay?"
Kraglin frowned, but stopped bothering you as you made your way downstairs. You ditched him in the hall and made your way to the back door. You open it just long enough to catch Gamora's eye and signal to her that her services were no longer needed. You close the door back up and turn around, jumping out of your skin to find that you had indeed, not ditched Kraglin in the hall.
"The hell, man!"
Kraglin laughed, apparently delighted with startling you, and excused himself around you to head outside.
You frown at his retreating form and decided it'd be better to not hover around the door yourself, thinking you might give the house a good dusting to occupy yourself.
***
After cleaning the house and a quick lunch you decided your garden could use a good tending, so you grabbed your earbuds and made your way to the back door.
You weren't exactly sure what made you look up, probably Yondu's warning about that the guys might boobytrap your doorways with water buckets, but when you looked up you spotted the biggest spider resting right above the doorframe and you froze.
You weren't scared or anything... spiders, at least giant ass ones like the one above the door, just tended to freak you out a little... Ok, maybe more than a little. The irony wasn't lost on you either that you had just hidden a rubber spider in Peter's bed that morning.
Yondu, who you hadn't spotted at the table when you walked in as you were preoccupied with finding a song title, saw you freeze and tilted his head. He then saw you take a hesitant step back from the door and decided to ask, "Whatcha doing?"
You startled at the unexpected voice and turned to him. Slightly blushing you said, "Um, nothing. Just-uh, thought I'd go tend the garden." You considered going to use the front door instead but worried it might look a bit odd.
Yondu took a sip from his water and set his glass down. "Ya know, pretty sure you'll get outside quicker if ya walk towards the door. Not sure how far you'll get backin' away from it."
You blushed a bit harder. "Yeah- uh right." Your eyes flitted back to the spider and you visibly jumped a step back as it scurried quickly about 20cm up the wall.
"What was that?" Yondu asked, "What ya look so nervous for?" He started to stand from the table. Was there something outside? Was there someone outside? If so, why not say it?
You could feel the blush creep down your neck and you let out a nervous chuckle. "Um- it's nothing. Really." You couldn't help but glance back at the spider, and regretted it.
Yondu followed your gaze as he walked over and chuckled, relieved it was only a creepy crawly and not that they had all been discovered. He wasn't in the mood to fight a bunch of assholes today. He was, however, always in the mood to tease. "Ya scared of that little thing?"
"No! I- uh.. just wasn't expecting... it."
Putting his hands on his hips, Yondu grinned and shook his head. "My mistake then. Wouldn't wanna keep you from your garden." He clapped you on the back and looked at you expectantly, a hint of humor in his eyes as he nodded towards the door.
"Yeah..." you say, however you hesitated, looking up at the spider.
After a moment Yondu speaks up, laughter in his voice. "Can't do it, can ya?"
You give him a sharp look. "I can!"
"Alright then. Enjoy the fresh air. It's behind that door in case ya forgot." The mirth in his eyes told you he was enjoying this.
You look back up to the spider. You could do this. You start to take a step closer to the door when suddenly Yondu cries out, "Watch out! I think it jumped!" while mimicking a running spider with his hand over the top of your head, making you jump right out of your skin and smack at his hand (which you totally knew wasn't the spider...) with a shrill squeak.
Yondu starts laughing at your reaction and you cover your face in embarrassment. When his laughter dies down you give him a mournful look.
"Jackass." you mutter, arms crossed over your chest and face red from embarrassment.
Yondu rolls his eyes, mirth still present on his face, and he whistles.
It happened so quick you weren't sure you had really seen it.
A whistle. A flash of red. The sound of something cracking into the plaster. Another whistle. He caught an object in his hand; the arrow you'd see strapped to his leg all the time for no discernible reason. He wiped the tip against the rubbish bin before placing it back in its holster.
You blinked. "What the hell was that?" Did he just- move that arrow... with his mind?? Or was it with that metal mohawk thing? It had streaks of red light glowing through it for a moment there.
Yondu just grinned. "Took care of yer little problem so ya could stop yer scared fidgeting and get out the door," he said with a laugh, not really answering your question.
You blushed again but before you could protest he looked to where the spider had been and winced. "Hmm. Might have overestimated the toughness of yer wall there though..."
You follow his gaze to see that his arrow had left a small crack and a chip in the old plaster where he had killed the spider. You turn back to him. "I think that could be forgiven, if you can agree there's no reason to mention it again..."
Mirth crinkled his eyes as he got the hint. You didn't want to advertise that you were scared of the 'creepy crawly.' Was almost cute if he was honest. Reminded him of Peter when the boy was younger. "I'll take that as a 'thank you,'" he said with a cheeky wink as he walked out of the kitchen and left you to your business.
You mumbled out a, "Hmm... yeah," and rubbed the back of your head as you made your way out the door.

Later that day Peter came to you and asked if you wanted to join the others to watch another movie. He had found another movie from when he was a kid, The Princess Bride, and he was excited to watch it.
You curbed your suspicion that he might be setting up for a prank and agreed to watch the movie, having nothing else to do.
You walked into the sitting room while Peter walked off to find the others and found Mantis already in there waiting, sitting on the floor in front of the sofa with Groot. Gamora and Yondu were also waiting, but they hadn't sat down yet, instead they were standing by the TV looking at the DVD case and discussing how they hadn't expected Peter to be into this type of movie, clearly assuming it was a fairytale love story rather than the comedy that it also was. Looking about and seeing that Kraglin and Peter didn't seem to be coming back yet, you thought this might be a decent time to break out that whoopee cushion.
You pull it out of your pocket and with a quick breath blew it up, garnering the attention of Gamora and Yondu, who gave you funny looks. You quickly stuff the whoopee cushion under the sofa cushion furthest left and take a seat next to Mantis on the floor, furthest to the right. You look up to them nonchalantly, your expression saying, 'What? I didn't see anything. Didn't do anything either.'
A faint smirk played over Yondu's lips but neither of them said anything. Gamora, because she wasn't going to involve herself, and Yondu, because he ain't a narc. Mantis and Groot, however, gave you confused looks, but you just put your fingers to you lips in a 'shush' gesture and Mantis's eyes lit up, correctly assuming you were playing a practical joke, and she loved practical jokes.
Soon after the rest filed in. You were asked by Peter why you were on the floor when there was room on the couch, and you flippantly answered, "Didn't feel like being pestered like last time," giving him a pointed look.
He almost looked guilty but then just waved you off and sat next to Gamora. More room on the couch then. No skin off his nose.
Like last time, Yondu and Drax took the armchairs, and Rocket settled in on the other side of Mantis. Kraglin was the last to sit and you bit your tongue to keep a straight face and look uninterested as you side-eyed to watch him sit.
It went off just as you expected. A loud fart noise as he sat on the far end of the couch, earning loud laughter from Drax, Rocket, and Peter. Mantis and Groot giggled adorably while Yondu snickered and Gamora only reacted in mild surprise, likely having not realized what the object you placed below the cushion would do.
Kraglin tried to deny it, but Peter only laughed harder and said, "Yeah right! The hole you just ripped in the couch says otherwise!"
Drax then spoke through his laughter that you weren't going to be happy that Kraglin damaged the couch, only for Peter to tell him that it was just an expression.
You start to shake your head at Kraglin, give him an unimpressed look to sell your innocence, when you were startled by the blue tint to his face.
"Uh..." you say, moving to a kneeling position, "Are you alright?"
"Hah. Very funny." Kraglin said, looking annoyed and standing and pulling the whoopee cushion from beneath the sofa cushion. "Ya really think I don't know what these are? Pete had like a million of these."
"No, really. You're starting to turn blue, are you having any trouble breathing or anything?" you ask. He was acting fine, but you knew turning blue couldn't be good.
Peter, seeing you were genuinely concerned, decided to fill you in. "Oh, don't worry about him. He's just embarrassed he still fell for that." He laughed and punched a grumpy looking Kraglin in the arm.
You raised an eyebrow.
Peter clarified, "His blood is blue, not red like ours. He's fine."
"Alright then..." you say, hesitantly sitting back down. You hear Kraglin state he's keeping the whoopee cushion and you roll your eyes at him as Peter finally started the movie.
You hadn't seen this one in a long time, and you honestly barely remembered anything aside from a few funny quotes and the fact that you knew you had enjoyed it. The last thing you expected was for the movie to make you feel things.
You were doing pretty good until the man in black and Princess Buttercup began to talk about her lost love, and you kept it together until the line, "Death cannot stop true love, it can only delay it awhile."
Then you got up to leave the room.
"Want us to pause it for you?" asked Peter.
"Nope," came your answer.
No one thought anything of it, until they heard you go upstairs and you didn't return.
After about 15 minutes Yondu got the sense you weren't coming back, and he briefly wondered why before his sleepy eyes closed, falling asleep during this movie as well.
He had been waiting up the past few nights to try and catch you sneaking out at night, but each night he never heard or saw you leave, because you didn't. Needless to say this made him a little sleepy, but at least with no crew to manage or ship to run he was free to take naps, even if Peter did tease him that he was getting old for falling asleep through the movie.
Rocket, however, was cursing himself. And you. He had just been about to slip out when you beat him to it. He wasn't enjoying the movie that much, and he had realized that this might be the first chance in three days to sneak up to the attic when everyone was occupied, and you just had to go and ruin it by flaking out on the movie partway through. Rude.
They finished the movie without you and you mostly stayed in your room the rest of the night aside for a bit when you came down to grab something quick for a late supper.
You were in the kitchen having just finished the sandwich you had made when Peter came in for a snack.
"Hey," he greeted.
"Hey," you say back, pulling down a small glass for some juice.
"Saw you didn't come back to the movie earlier."
"Yeah?" You didn't meet his gaze as he opened a packet of that space food and sat down. "Seen it."
Peter nearly chuckled, "Well, yeah. I'd think so, it was yours."
You shrug. "Just didn't feel like finishing it."
"Hmmm..." came Peter's response. His tone annoyed you, like he was about to suggest there was an ulterior reason for you skipping out on the movie without a word. Just because he would have been right didn't mean you liked it.
You walk to the fridge to pour some juice and have the thought that you might spruce it up with a splash of vodka, which you kept in the freezer. You pull the bottle and gesture it to Peter, asking if he'd like some. He shook his head and you just poured some into your own glass and went to return the bottle to the freezer. When you did you spotted a small forgotten bag of ice you must have purchased awhile back. It was open, and you got an idea. Sneaking one of the chunks you hid it in your hand and closed the freezer.
You leaned against the counter and sipped your, now alcoholic, juice.
"Nice one with the whoopee cushion today. Good to see you have a sense of humor." Peter smiled.
You shrug. You kept the hand with the ice folded across your body and tucked under the elbow of the arm holding your juice, trying to keep it natural looking.
"If you want, maybe you and I could call a truce, and combine our efforts against Kraglin."
You smirk behind your glass. Either this was a trap, or he wasn't very loyal to his friend. You placed your bets on the former. "I think you're just afraid I might accidentally punch you in the face again if you keep it up."
Peter rubbed the back of his head and laughed, "Well, there may be that... but I do think if we combined our efforts..."
He didn't get to finish that sentence. You had downed the last bit of your juice and started to walk his way while he talked. As you passed behind him you quickly dropped the chunk of ice down the back of his shirt and then even more quickly scurried away as he seized up and gasped from the cold.
You snickered as you heard him squeak, "Ah! Cold! Cold!" on your way out and only spared a glance back at the door to see him abandon contorting his arms behind him to try and grab the offending ice in favor of resorting to hopping out of the chair and doing a funny little dance to shake the ice out.
Once he was free of the ice he caught your gaze and an evil grin passed over his lips as he bend down to grab the ice from the floor.
Your eyes widened and you fled up the stairs, hearing him call out, "Get back here!"
You made it to your room just in time to shut the door and flick the lock before he could have his revenge. You could hear laughter in his voice as he said, "And to think I offered a truce!"
"You didn't mean it!" you called back through the door.
Peter laughed and said, "Well I definitely don't mean it now!" You were right. He hadn't meant it. He was going to try and convince you to pull a prank on Kraglin that they would then turn back on you, but clearly you weren't going to fall for that. He heard you laugh at his statement and shook his head before walking back down the stairs.
At least he had made you laugh.
***
After an hour you decided it was probably safe to leave your room to shower for bed. Also, Mantis was knocking at the door and you had to let her in anyway.
You had just finished your shower and were heading back to your room when a high shriek could be heard from Peter and Gamora's room. The others peeked out from their respective bedrooms to see what the commotion was. Rocket came up the stairs saying, "Thought I heard Quill screaming like a girl, what happened?"
On cue the door to Peter and Gamora's room opened and out came Peter holding the rubber spider by one leg.
The two of you lock eyes across the landing. Your eyes widen slightly and you flatten your lips.
"Any idea how this ended up in my bed?" he asked, looking pointedly at you and waving the toy back and forth.
Shaking your head, you say, "Nope. No idea."
Peter narrowed his eyes but smirked. "Oh really?"
You began walking toward the safety of your room. "Not a clue. Total mystery. Night."
You could hear snickers behind you as open the door, and hear Peter shout after you, "I'm keeping this!" as you shut your bedroom door behind you.
***
Rocket had a surprise waiting for him when he decided to go to bed that night, having walked into the bedroom with little Groot asleep on his shoulder.
He looked at the new bed in confusion. He wanted to ask Drax where it came from, but the big guy was already asleep, and he knew better than to wake him if he didn't want accidentally punched in Drax's startled waking.
He hopped up to the crib and laid Groot down to sleep before inspecting the new bed, sniffing it and checking under the sheets. He didn't really know what he was looking for, but looking couldn't hurt.
Eventually, when he could find nothing wrong with it, he decided to settle in. Better than sleeping in a crib. He could ask where it came from in the morning.
***
The house was dark and quiet, and Yondu was considering giving up on trying to catch you sneaking out again, at least for tonight. After all, you hadn't in several days, what's the chance you would tonight? Might as well sleep.
Then he heard it. The tiniest creak of a door. Then barely audible steps down the stairs.
He stood from his bed as quietly as he could, and made his way over to the door he had left cracked in hopes of being better able to hear when you'd leave.
He peered out, but only just saw the top of your head dip below the floor as you descended.
He waited a moment, wanting to give a little space so as to not risk you hearing him follow. Opening the bedroom door slowly, he made his way out into the hall and to the stairs. He could see in the dark better than a Terran, but still moved carefully as he quietly made his way down the steps.
He stopped less than halfway down, having barely caught sight of you sitting on the hall bench to pull your boots on, and there he waited, out of sight in the dark, until you stood and grabbed a jacket.
He made his way quickly and quietly down the rest of the stairs and just caught you as you were opening the back door.
He stood in the kitchen doorway, arms crossed over his chest with a triumphant grin at having finally caught you before you could leave. He tilted his chin up and asked;
"So where ya sneaking off to?"

You woke with a start, the white canvas of the morning sky blinding you as a crow cawed from above. You cast you gaze about bleary eyed, taking in your surroundings. You were back at your camp, but mightily dishevelled, half your clothes on, half off, and various parts exposed to the elements. The last embers of the fire burned, soft wafts of smoke dying down.
What the hell happened last night? You wondered, casting your thoughts back and rubbing your face, feeling almost as if you had a hangover. Fixing your clothes, you turned your attention to your equipment and the camp. Anything that wasn’t necessary to have on you today you bagged back up into your luggage bag and pushed into the hollow of the tree that you had camped against; mostly some clothing, sleeping bag, tarpaulin… you paused as you got to the bow that the Duke had gifted to you, eyeing it up. As much as you felt safer with it, today you would have to try to be inconspicuous, and this weapon was not going to help with that. You stuffed it hastily as far bag into the hollow as you could, hooking it on a knot on the inside of the tree so that it hung safely, completely out of view, and then threw leaves over the bag.
The distance seemed shorter this time going towards the cliff edge that overlooked the village. You took out your binoculars from a pouch on your hip and got down onto your stomach to scout the area. From where you were you could easily see the castle with its spiky turrets in the distance, slightly shrouded by a fine mist at this hour. If it weren’t for the whole situation that you were in and the very obvious unease that this place was already causing you, you’d have maybe even called this gothic monster ‘beautiful’. Leading up to it were many small houses, each made slightly differently to the next, but somehow all similar. Some with thatched roofs, some tile, some metal. You were only at the brink of this village, but you could sense poverty from here, being used to living in a modern world and never feeling like you’d had to struggle too much for food or material needs. Your eyes were drawn to a route that should give you access easily into the village by way of going behind some of the closer buildings, and with a quick sweep, checking that no one was currently about, you decided to go now.
The village had a spattering of snow, less than a foot for sure, and for the most part it had been trodden down and thinned. Coming up to the first house you crouched down behind a small brick wall, which looked as though it had started to tumble over. Again, you couldn’t see anyone here, but you could definitely hear livestock; a pig and maybe some chickens. Peering over the top of the wall towards the house you noticed a washing line, its contents bouncing slowly in the slight breeze. There were yellowed white briefs, a petty coat, bonnets, a dress made out of material that looked itchier than it looked practical, and also a hooded cloak. You pondered for a moment if taking an entire line of clothes to disguise yourself was a good idea or not and then decided against it; you whipped the cloak down, it being very dull and drab in both colour and fabric, with no distinguishing features, and threw the large hood up over your head. It was big enough even to hide your eyes, the swells of fabric wrapping around your arms and body, providing more warmth as well as what you hoped would deter anyone from making too much notice of you. Your boots and trousers were visible, from the knee down, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Nearing the centre, you started to hear the sounds you’d expect to hear in a small village like this. The day was light enough to see everything clearly; a statue of a lady holding a sword and shield. Something about it sent a shiver down your back. It wasn’t that it looked creepy, it just felt… familiar somehow. This looked as though it was perhaps the centre of the village; a woman sat on a bench knitting, a couple of children played with a stick and hoop. That felt weird too. It was the turn of the millennium, and yet here children were playing with really outdated toys. A little way up you could see a hill rising with some gravestones dotted here and there to the left of it. Already you could feel the eyes of the children staring at you and the quiet clacking of the knitting needles had stopped. Keeping your head down, you carried on walking, your feet choosing to take you up the small hill, past the gravestones. You passed a strange wooden shine on your right, not daring to turn your head to look at the details right now, for you’d hoped that they people here might assume that you were one of them thus letting you become invisible. You’d had undercover jobs before that you’d excelled at, but things felt very different here. Every step you took made the feeling of foreboding grow stronger in you. Up ahead was a door depicting two characters, one looked like a woman, the other, you weren’t too sure, but it looked sturdy and as though it might lead to the great castle, so that didn’t seem like you’d be unnoticed if you tried that door. To the right a long alley way, but it looked to lead away from the village, and to the right again the iron gates into the grounds of a small church, with a bubble of people emerging from its doors now. Yes, you had to lay low and try not to turn heads, but you also needed information, maybe if you passed through this crowd as if you were going somewhere you could eavesdrop some clues.
You made your way over and saw a man dressed like a vicar of sorts standing at the church doors while the villagers left, his hands raised in the air and a grin on his face. His eyes were eerily shadowed with darkness, but this didn’t seem to deter his congregation.
“Thank you for coming to today’s assembly to pay our respects to our beloved saviour, Mother Miranda. Volunteers and the Heretic’s Judgement are to be held tomorrow at Mother’s church.”
Just then you accidentally bumped right into someone emerging from the crowd, the impact making you both exhaled audibly, and the villager dropping their item to the ground.
“I’m so sorry, are you ok?” You asked, seeing her face as she looked up to see whom she had bumped into. You mentally kicked yourself for being automatically nicely mannered when you could have just trundled past. Instead, you stopped to pick up what you saw now to be a small bouquet of flowers, seeing her smiling at you as you handed them to her.
“Oh yes, I’m quite alright.” She said warmly. She looked to be in her forties with grey blue eyes, mousy brown hair and bangs. “Are you?”
You were taken aback for a moment; you didn’t expect anyone to ask how you were. In all honesty you’d been better. “No damage done.” You smiled, making sure to pull the cloak over any item of clothing that might give you away for being from further afield than the next village or so. The church doors had closed, and the rest of the crowd had now disbanded into the rest of the village.
“You look to me like you could do with a hot meal and a warm bath. If you beg my pardon for saying so.” She took a step back and extended her hand. “I’m Luiza by the way.”
“Y/N.” You replied, shaking it. Is this a good idea? You asked yourself, but you couldn’t help but trust the woman.
“I was just about to lay these down in the cemetery, if you’d like to join me Y/N.” Luiza offered, indicating to the small bouquet. There was a look in her eyes, like she was trying to tell you something.
“Yes of course.”
The two of you made your way a little past the church and through some more iron gates, this time into a space that was on a slight slope with a couple of crypts and tombs. Checking around her to make sure that no one else was around, Luiza turned her eyes back to you slowly.
“You’re not from here.” She stated. You swallowed.
“No, I’m from the next town over, I’m passing through to –“
“Please. You’re not from here, your accent, your boots… but your eyes, your eyes are what really gave it away. If you’d ever lived near here, you’d never have the damn nerve to even come.” She waved a hand in the air, and yet looked remorsefully subdued. You didn’t quite know what to say.
You looked down to the ground, shame seeping in as if from the snow at your feet.
“I’m searching for a friend.” You said solemnly. “He’s here somewhere, at least, I think. I think that he came here on a lead; whether he’s here to help someone or it’s to do with something that concerns us… I’m not sure. But he’s been gone a while now, and I’d like to get him back home.” Saying it made it all the more real, and you could feel your throat growing tight. The whole time that you’d been speaking Luiza had listened intently, yet her face remained soft. Something twinkled in her pale eyes, a knowing.
“Do you have a picture, of your friend?” She asked.
“Yes.” You unzipped the RPD bag hanging at your side and carefully pulled the photo from the wallet inside. “His name is Leon, Leon Kennedy.” Luiza took the photo into her own hand carefully, studying it and then handed it back.
“You should come over for some dinner tonight Y/N. See that gate over there?” She pointed back towards the church but the opposite side from which you’d entered. “Through that gate, turn left and all the way up the hill. My husband and I are having goulash tonight, if that might tempt you.”
“With dumplings?”
“I can do them if you’d like.” She smiled, turning away to face a small gravestone. “Come after nightfall but be careful on your way.”
“I will.” You started heading back towards the church and then turned to ask, “Who is it? That you’re visiting I mean.”
“My daughter.” She replied.
You left Luiza at her daughter’s grave and felt your stomach rumble. The last 24 hours had been gruelling on your body, you were cramping with no pain relief, nor for your knee, which was already aching, a reminder of the stress you’d put it through the day before fighting that… beast, and then you remembered; the dream… what had happened? That was the same beast as the one you’d slain. But what, you’d resurrected it? You wondered what it meant, and then you started to recall what had happened after. Your cheeks burned red in an instant, spreading over your neck and ears. Confusion ultimately taking over. Well at least I’m warm now, you sneered at yourself, and then felt another rumble. I need food.
Luiza seemed like she could be a good ally to have here, and something told you that she recognised that picture of Leon; even if she was the only person that would help you out you felt happy that you had at least something potentially to go on. You headed back into the centre of the village, with the intention of heading back to your camp for another preserved snack and then it hit you; the smell of eggs and bacon. It was drifting up from somewhere a little way past the statue to the left and you followed it around without a care.
“The Fat Goose” The sign read above the door. It looked to be a small inn of sorts with a few townsfolk coming in and out, and in seemingly good spirits. You made sure that your hood was pulled back up over your eyes and made your way in. It was like many other humble pubs that you’d frequented here and there, mostly when visiting back home in England. A long bar at the back of the room, a door leading somewhere at the back, and the clientele sat hunched over round tables upon stools, leaning close to the fire, or shouting above one another at the bar itself. It wasn’t the busiest, but it seemed to be where the majority of the village had decided to spend their day if they did not have work to be done. You could see a couple of the villagers did indeed have meals here of all sorts; chicken, bread, cheese, and most importantly eggs and bacon. You could feel yourself salivating.
Keeping your head low you approached the barkeep, the Lei ready in your hand, and slid it across the surface towards him. “Eggs, bacon and ale, thank you.” You pushed your coin over to him. You’d been lucky, upon meeting the Duke he’d brought up local currency and exchanged what you’d made the mistake of purchasing at the airport.
The barkeeper was quietly suspicious, evident in the way that he eyed you up, taking a moment to pause cleaning the tankard in his hands to take the money and gave a nod back.
“We’ll bring it over to yer table.” He said, turning back to what he was doing. You chanced a glance around the room and decided to take a seat at a vacant table by the window. It felt like a safe spot; you could see the door and the bar, but you were also tucked into a corner out of the way, the only light cast by the fire on the other side of the room and a couple of candles over head in brackets.
The ale was with you in no time at all. You’d never actually drank ale before and weren’t expecting it to be the tastiest of drinks, but there wasn’t much choice here. The eggs and bacon shortly followed, filling the room with a smell that made you stomach growl again.
The door flew open and you suddenly noticed the difference between the warmth of the inn with the bite of the outside air. The chill swept into the pub with the figures of two men, both tall and brawny, but one much larger than the other. They seemed to be deep in conversation but trying to keep their voices to a murmur that they could only hear between themselves.
They were dressed similarly; the taller man’s clothes had more of a darker and subdued palette. He had a head of grey hair, and a beard to match, a broad forehead, kind eyes and a nose which looked as though it had been broken at least once. The shorter of the two, but by no means lacking in height had a similar long coat but in more earthy tones. His face was hidden by a dark brown leather hat of sorts, well-worn with a mess of dark hair streaked with grey. The other patrons went quiet as the men entered and then began nodding at them, some even tilting a hat, before going back to their business.
Something began stirring in your stomach and you looked down at your food, maybe the eggs were off? You looked up again, unconscious of being unable to stop watching them, or more specifically, the man with the hat. He definitely felt your gaze right at that moment as he slowly turned his face over his right shoulder to look at you from behind dark, circular shades hiding his eyes from view. Time seemed to stop. He was really looking, and you felt as though you were tumbling backwards down through the biggest chasm carved into the stars.
“Oh boy.” You breathed as the man suddenly turned his head back to reply to something that his towering friend had said, who in turn, then noticed you, glancing over his friend’s head. The feeling in your stomach had grown so intense that it felt as though it had now pummelled its way into your chest too. This felt like danger and sickness all wrapped into one. You had half a mind to leave now, but you knew that not only would that rouse more suspicion, you just also didn’t want to.
“Urias, Karl.” The bartender came over to the two men at the bar, “What can I get you?”
Sometime later a beautiful, red haired girl came to take your plate away. Despite being so hungry when you first came into the establishment, once the men had entered, you’d felt so nauseous that you’d barely been able to manage another bite. You tried to channel your thoughts, calm the storm in your stomach and ease your breathing. You were getting there, managing to ground yourself, but every few minutes your eyes were drawn back to that man, was he Urias or was he Karl? Which name suited him most? Urias sounded strong and noble, well he certainly looked strong. He pulled out a cigar and lit it, suddenly emitting raucous laughter from something that his friend said which shocked you out of your trance; and then he fell silent, starring at the other man so intensely that it scared you.
“You’re fucking kidding me?” He asked. The pub fell silent. You were so focused on the scene, as was everyone else that you neglected to notice the way your tankard had started to slowly drift up into the air along with everyone else’s.
“I’m sorry my friend, I am not. I am going to marry her.”
“God fucking damnit Urias!” He bellowed, slamming a fist down on the bar. Everything fell with a bang, ale sloshing over the tables and with that he stormed out of the pub. Urias rubbed a giant hand over his face, the skin gathering in mounds between each finger. The bartender brought over a new tankard, about three times the size of the regular ones and let it thud down in front of Urias.
“On the house, chief.”
Urias took it in his man-paw and without hesitation turned towards you, walking over.
“Are you going to tell me who you are then, fabled traveller. I can tell you come from very far away.” He sounded like how you imagined a talking bear to sound, deep and rumbly. He had a big, square chin, his jaw jutted out slightly, strong teeth, big lips and kind eyes. He poured a little of the ale from his giant vessel into your own, indicating for you to stay put. No one else in the pub seemed to be paying attention, at least not with their eyes, this man must have some hold or power over them.
“My name is Y/N, and I am looking for my friend.” You told him truthfully, face down, but eyes looking up at him. You were scared, for sure, but you wouldn’t let it show. You were here for a reason, you’d come this far, you weren’t going to leave without Leon, and you meant it. You slid the photo across the table to him and he took it tenderly, bringing it closer to his face, all that way up to take a look. He tilted his head to the side.
“Have you spoken to anyone else?” He asked, eyes flitting between you and the photo.
“One other.” You replied, not mentioning who.
“Y/A my name is Urias, as you might have heard my friend eloquently let the world know earlier. I am the chief of this village. My brother and I-“ He paused and looked down at his hands. “My brother and I came from a mountain clan, our blood line has been chief there for generations, but we wanted to see more of the world and make our mark, learn trades and earn our keep. We came to this village when we were both merely men grown, that was a long time ago now.” He had a faraway look in his eyes, turning now to look out of the window, it was already beginning to grow dark and a drift of snow had begun to descend once more. “We climbed the ranks here, doing what we could to help protect the village and its population…” He paused again in thought. “To help, however we could. It’s just me now, but I still want that, I still want to do what’s right for my people”
He took a deep drink from the tankard, which now that you were looking at it closely, looked more like a small barrel with a makeshift handle.
“Y/N I will help you however I can, but please understand this; this is no normal village, there are things at work here even I can’t quite explain. Tensions are very high, and an outsider coming in looking for a missing friend,” He tilted his head and gave a small chuckle, “Well, that’s not going to go down so well with some of the villagers, and especially not with the higher ups.”
“You mean Mother Miranda?” You asked bluntly. He swung his head to look you dead in the eyes.
“How do you know her name?”
“I did my research before I came; I don’t know much about her Urias, but I have a bad feeling about her.” Your cheeks burned from being so forward.
He laughed again, “You’re not the only one.” He muttered, casting you a careful sideways glance, taking you in some more. He looked like he was pondering or considering something. “There are a seldom few here that you can trust, so be careful. You can find me at my house, some of the folk they call it ‘the chief’s hut’, or else I’ll likely be here, at least for now.” His mind seemed to trail off somewhere else.
Noticing that night had indeed now fallen you bid your farewell and shook the giant’s paw and made your way outside into the chill of night, thankful for the stolen cloak wrapped around your frame.
You started around the side of the pub, back towards the route that would take you directly to Luiza’s house when something wrapped around your throat and shoved you against the wall. The breath was choked out of you upon impact and your hood fell, your hair falling down in-front of your eyes as you blinked them open, trying to see what had happened. Pain started spreading in your body; the cuts on your torso, your knee blazed and the cramps starting up again like knives. The thing around your throat was a hand, larger than your own but not huge, nails digging into your flesh.
You tried to say something, a warning a threat, but whoever it was, was closing your throat.
“Don’t pretend I didn’t see you making eyes at me in there darling,” A man’s voice drooled. “We don’t see tourists all too often around here, but I’m sure an outsider like you will be carrying something of value.”
You didn’t recognise the face in front of you at all. A man in his twenties, maybe, fairly non-descript with short mousey brown hair and some stubble. He absolutely reeked of alcohol. Your right hand shot instinctively towards your knife and he twisted your wrist anti-clockwise immediately disarming you, shoving you back against the wall with the force of his body and then reaching for any other weapons. Of course, he found the pistols, kicking one aside and holding the other to your temple.
“These will bring me a pretty Lei or two, I’m sure the Duke would be happy to pay me handsomely. What other souvenirs have you got under that cloak of yours?”
You scrabbled against his hands, trying to execute the self-defence you’d been taught for situations such as these. You tried to get to his weak points; wrist, elbow, knee, balls, but he had you at his mercy. The number of tight spots and situations you’d come up against in your time and you couldn’t do a damn thing if someone had you pinned when their strength was greater than your own. Your hands gripped against his arm, legs kicking.
“Hand it over and I won’t hurt you. Much.” He pressed the cold of your pistol harshly into the skin under your chin.
“No!” You rasped, suddenly being thrown down for a second but caught by something before you hit the ground. Strong, hot arms held you up from falling.
You dared to open your eyes, looking over the arm at the man’s fate. He was sprawled on the ground, blood gushing from his nose and mouth.
“Get the fuck out of here.” A voice rumbled from above you. You looked up. It was Karl. You winced again and the younger man tore off into the darkness without looking back. Your body trembled from pain, cold and something else.
You looked up again. Although you still couldn’t see his eyes you could see some sort of unearthly glow behind the glasses. His skin looked fairly tanned, smooth but worn, tired maybe, and small scars scattered here and there. You were still in his arms, entranced, and so warm.
“Thank you.” You breathed. He swallowed hard and blinked, turning his face away from you, he let his arms drop now that you were on your feet, but you were still close against his body, which now felt so tense. Was he shaking?
“Go.” He exhaled. You faltered, putting a hand to his arm, he flinched, his breathing deepened. “Please.” He shut his eyes. What was this man fighting?
You gulped, stepping back, not understanding, pulling your cloak around you, and stooping to retrieve your weapons.
“Karl, Y/N what’s going on?” Urias lurched out of the pub doors, “What was that commotion?”
A couple of moments passed where you were staring at Urias, holding your cloak to you and expecting Karl to answer, but nothing happened. You turned around to look at Karl, but he wasn’t there.
Urias offered to escort you himself to Luiza’s from there. You told him what happened and although he was furious at what had happened, swearing he’d try to find the culprit and have them punished; he did not seem surprised by Karl’s sudden disappearance. To say you were shaken up was an understatement, but you at least felt safer being with this humungous man of the mountains as you made your way through the snowy night.

Summer Thing by @zephyrcove
Well, I didn’t think I had time to write today but I came across @the-dream-team s TPT for today, read the first few lines and RAN to see what the prompt was and write it myself. SO here’s the accidental 3 pages of summer Jily that I wrote for @petalstosarah training prompt tuesday :)
It was a pleasant sort of hot as they lay there, basking in the summer heat but protected by a gentle breeze. If he tilted his head ever so slightly he saw the curve of her face tucked into his side, a pointless attempt to shield her pale Irish skin from the beaming English sun. James held up a hand to cast a shadow on her features, admiring how his own tan skin soaked in the warmth unfazed by the pinkish burn that had begun to spread across her cheeks. They were silent, listening only to the sounds of nature around them, the whispering breeze rustling through the grass and the chirping of birds as they flitted through the trees behind his house. Their secluded spot in his expansive backyard afforded them privacy, tucked behind a mossy knoll in the lawn and far enough away from the house to not be seen by the prying eyes of his mother and brother. Not that those two didn’t know something was going on anyways; they always saw through his halfhearted excuses, his doting smile giving him away when he went off to meet her even as he said he was headed to Scrivenshaft’s for new ink.
Her breathing evened out and he listened to her above the natural underscoring of the grounds, the rise and fall of her chest beside him lulling him further into the happiness of the summer heat. His hazel eyes flitted left again, taking in the golden glow of her auburn hair in the afternoon sun, framing her rosy, freckled cheeks perfectly as she dozed off contentedly beside him. He was happy to stay there for the rest of his life, frozen in this sliver of time where everything was perfectly, incandescently happy.
But even as he lay basking in the August sun, he knew that this sliver of time could not last. It was August after all, and despite the joy of its sunny days, August alway brought September. And with September came the wake up call of normality, of school and Scotland and the marching on of time. September brought the end of their days in the sun, stifled by those chilled winds of their separate lives. So while he tried desperately to stay present in August, to get lost in the rays beaming on their faces and the bubble that they’ve formed in that golden hour, he could not help but frown at the prospect of September, the prospect of the end.
Hours passed like seconds as James pushed back the thoughts of September for one more day, focusing instead on the girl beside him. It’s as if August had two suns for him, her bright light compelling him to stay and bask just a moment longer in his happiness, in their bubble, in her. The real sun had begun to shift now towards evening and he knew that he needed to get the other home in from the night air.
Moving for the first time in hours, he shifted towards her, pressing a warm kiss to her hair. The soft sound she made as she woke from her sunkissed nap tugged at his heart and he added that moment to the long list of memories he was keeping of the summer, of her. Lily’s eyes fluttered open and he watched in macro as her lashes gave way to emerald flashing in the setting sunlight. The corner of her pink lips tilted upwards as she smiled serenely at him, her mouth forming a breathy “‘lo”.
“Hi there,” he smiled back at her, his eyes dancing across her features, aching to take in every second with her, building a composite memory of all that he could see and hear and feel so he would never be made to forget this summer.
“Is it horrible?” she questioned, pulling his focus back to her eyes. “The sunburn, I mean, I think by now I know that you don’t find the whole of me repulsive.”
The smirk lit his face, as it was wont to do, and her teasing smile matched its energy. “Well not the whole of you I s’pose… your tits are pretty bangin.” Her eyes flamed as if you could floo through them and she slapped his cheek playfully, feigning offense.
“Damn right they are, you cheeky boy.” The hand she had swatted him with came to rest on his muscled chest and her eyelids fluttered lower, sultry as she leaned up to press her lips to his. The arm he wasn’t propped up on wrapped instinctively behind her, his strong, worn hand gripping her ribcage through the floral linen of her sundress, holding her tight to him. Her delicate fingers fisted in the fabric of his shirt she smiled into the kiss as his tongue probed at her lower lip. When her lips parted, James deepened the kiss and rolled so he was atop her, gently lowering her back to the grass and holding himself up with his forearms framing her face. He brushed back a strand of hair as he pulled back for air and she bit her lip lightly, even as their noses were still touching, breath ragged from desire. Lily reached up and wound her hand into his curls, pulling him back down to her. His body was thrumming with feeling and with want as they continued, but her moan brought him back to August, the precursor to September,  and he pressed a final kiss to her rosy lips before he pulled back enough to look at her.
James shifted onto his hips beside her, his palms pressing into the sides of his head as he exhaled and raked his fingers through his hair. He felt Lily move beside him as well, knowing that the preemptive stop was out of character for him and that she would want to know why. He felt the weight of her hand lightly on his shoulder and he looked up at her, his eyes glowing in the sunset with a painful passion. Lily’s brow was furrowed slightly, and he resisted the urge to lift his hand and smooth that wrinkle with his thumb, not wanting his feelings to mar her pretty face.
“James…”
“Lil I-” he stopped to take a breath and she watched him carefully as he shook his fingers through his hair again. “I just- I don’t want this to end.” Her eyes glistened as she let out a small sigh through her nose, her expression one that he couldn’t quite place. Not able to bear the words that he knew were to come, he spoke again quickly.
“I know this is just a summer thing, but I want you to know that when I’m with you, I’m happier than I’ve ever been. These summer months that we’ve been together have been the best I’ve ever felt.” He shifted towards her again, nearly facing her but not yet ready to look into her eyes, afraid of the roadblock he might find there. “It’s like I was in this dark room, content and cared for, but not knowing what living with the lights on was like, and then this summer you kissed me for the first time and it’s like you turned on the light. You were the light, the sun, and now I can see… everything... and I feel so much. I can’t imagine a life where I don’t get to lay here in the sun with you where I don’t get to kiss you. I can’t imagine a September where I have to pretend like this August never happened.”
Lily’s emerald eyes shone back at him as he finally met her stare, and he only hoped that the passion he’d expressed hadn’t ruined everything. Resolute to conclude his speech, he put a calloused hand on her arm, holding her attention and conveying the magnitude of his feelings as he finished. “I know what we said, about the summer, about keeping this thing between us… contained. But I am happier than I’ve ever been. I’m in love with you. And I’m not willing to just let that go without fighting for it.”
In the moment of silence, besides James’ slightly ragged breathing, anxious from the declaration, the air around them was quiet. Even the birds paused as if they too were waiting to hear her answer. The soft wind blew by for a moment, darting in between them, as they sat in the orange glow of the setting sun, so much riding on this very moment in time.
Within seconds the fear in his chest was cast aside as Lily surged forward and kissed him passionately, her hands clutching onto his shirt, pulling her as close to him she could get. Her hair curtained around them keeping them in their bubble as he broke from the shock and met her passion enthusiastically. His hand snaked behind her neck and held her there as she confirmed all he had ever wanted.
Having properly kissed him, she pulled back ever so slightly, her warm breath still feathering his cheeks as she whispered to him. “The only Septembers I want are with you by my side and I never August to end. If we’re just a summer thing then summer is all year long baby, because I couldn’t handle not being yours. I’ve spent years of my life trying not to fall and two months of you in the sunshine has thrown all that out the window. I love you James. I am happiest when I am with you.”
As the sun set behind them James didn’t know what he could possibly say to top the feeling of hearing Lily Evans say that, so he did all he could think of and kissed her again. The warmth of the summer night air reminded him that the sun was still there, she was right in front of him and she was blinding, and he was happy.

hi! noah anon here again, um ahaha, i may have been inspired to write a part 2 to my previous atsumu hurt/comfort drabble, i hope that's okay! ive been living for protective!y/n ever since they fought meiko for suga, so i wanted to sort of portray that!
-
from the way atsumu's breathing had evened out, you assumed he'd finally fallen asleep. exhaustion from the rough night he had taking over as he laid in your bed, wrapped up in your comforting embrace. atsumu's forehead rested in the crook of your neck and his nose pressed up against your collarbone, soft breaths tickling the sensitive skin. his arm laid across your stomach, keeping you close. for the first time since he walked into your room that night, he looked peaceful.
you on the other hand, were pissed; still stewing with rage over the events of the night. the main target of your aggression being none other than miya osamu himself. how could someone be so cold to their own twin?
the more you thought about it, the more restless you got, a pit of frustration growing and twisting uncomfortably in your gut. laying still was starting to prove a difficult task. with all of this frustrated energy you just needed to move — do something, before you went insane. so as carefully as you could, you slipped out from under atsumu, gently pushing a pillow under him for support.
shutting your door as quietly as possible you padded your way into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and an aspirin for atsumu. he'd probably need it for when he woke up, and it was the perfect excuse to get up and move around. however, as you neared the kitchen, you noticed a figure searching through the snack cabinets, grey hairs poking out into your field of vision. of course now of all times you'd run into the object of your current frustration. did you universe hate you or something?
just ignore him, you thought to yourself, no sense in getting into a conflict tonight.
as quietly as possible, you pulled a glass cup from the cabinet and filled it up with water. you had asprin in your room, so there was no need to grab any from the common area. your next objective was to exit the kitchen as quick as possible before your urge to punch osamu in the face increased any more. at this moment, his mere presence was enough to up your anger levels.
however, the second you spun on your heels to leave, osamu was also making his way out of the kitchen, causing the two of you to almost collide. luckily osamu reacted quickly, stepping back and preventing anything from being spilt.
"fucking watch it!" he spit out, expression twisting into one of contempt.
you scoffed at his outburst, ready to hit him with a few choice words, but by the time your lips parted he was already storming out of the kitchen and into the living room. a high pitched voice could be heard when he entered, sending another wave of fury coursing through your veins. "thank you 'samu, you're the best!"
"of course baby," osamu responded, "now let's start our movie."
the noise of some cheesy romance movie soon filled the living room and all surrounding areas, way too loud for this late of an hour in your opinion. it only added to your irritation, and without even thinking you were marching yourself to the living room with conviction, glass of water left behind on the kitchen island.
usually you never sought out trouble, and you weren't too fond of confrontation when it could be avoided. in the beginning of your time in the hyper house, maybe, but as time passed you soon learned nothing you said would change anything. so to save some sanity you resorted to short quips and just plain ignoring your housemates, once your contract was up none of it mattered anymore anyway. but after holding atsumu for an hour while he sobbed, and osamu's entitled attitude, something in you snapped. fuck being the bigger person.
so with your shoulders back and head held high you stormed into the living room, snatching the remote from coffee table to pause the movie playing.
that certainly grabbed their attention.
"the fuck is yer problem?" osamu vetted, standing to square up to you, fists clenched at his side and jaw tense. meiko followed suit, but took her position slightly behind osamu, nimble fingers gripping his bicep.
"my problem? hmm let's see, maybe my problem is the fact that i just held your brother as he cried himself to sleep while you were out here cuddled up on the couch!"
meiko snickered from behind him, and you had to stop yourself from lunging at her. how dare she laugh at his pain?
"'tsumu's fine, he'll get over it. now leave so we can watch our movie." your eyes went wide at osamu's response. did he really not care?
"he's your brother, and you hurt him." the annoyed expression on osamu's face fell slightly at your statement, but he quickly recovered, expression morphing into one that could kill.  "don't act so innocent, you were probably in there twisting his mind with your little lies. you know everything that's happened between us has been your fault? you're the one that turned him against me!" his voice was gradually increasing him volume and malice, you obviously getting under his skin.
"oh please, you're still telling yourself that?" you inched closer to the pair, chin lifting up to meet osamu's steely glare, your attempt at intimidation working only on the small woman behind him.
"'samu, shes scaring me, please make her leave," meiko whimpered. Osamu placed a protective arm around her, pulling her into his side, "don't worry baby, i won't let her near you." you rolled your eyes at meiko, her feigned fear sending your patience over the edge.
"oh shut up, meiko," you snapped, causing her to coward further into osamu.  "hey, don't talk to her like that!" he shot back at you, eyes darkening as he towered over your form, but you refused to back down.
"i'm texting iwaizumi, he can make her leave." meiko began typing furiously on her phone.
you chose to ignore her, prioritizing getting in your final words before iwaizumi could come to their resuce. "you've got your head completely up your ass if you think anyone but yourself is to blame for your broken relationship with 'tsumu!"
"you have no right to—"
"what the hell is going on here?" iwaizumi stormed into the room, large arms crossed over his chest as he placed himself between you and your victims.
"iwa, thank god! me and 'samu were trying to watch a movie when y/n just came in here and started attacking us! it was so scary, please make her leave!"
you scoffed at meiko's fabricated story, but before you could even begin to defend yourself iwa spoke, "y/n, go back to your room before im forced to take action." despite his dagger sharp gaze, you refused to shrink. you were going to get your point in regardless of any threats iwaizumi threw your way. so shooting him a quick and dismissive glare, you turned your attention back to osamu and meiko to get in one final blow.
"look, i don't know what your problem with me is, and frankly i don't care. but leave atsumu the fuck out your sick little games." the venom in your voice was enough to strike real fear into meiko, who was now completely hiding behind osamu for protection. even osamu's intimidating demeanor faltered at your protectiveness over his brother.
iwaizumi was the first to break the tension, "y/n, go—"
"yeah yeah, i got it, im leaving." your cut him short, giving osamu one last glare before exiting the living room, stopping to grab the glass of water from the kitchen before heading back to your room.
in your frustration you'd completely forgotten atsumu was asleep, accidentally shutting your door back with a little too much force. "angel?" atsumu's sleep drenched voice pulled you from your stewing thoughts, and you felt any and all anger melt away when you locked eyes with him.
"where'd you go off to?" he asked, rubbing at his eyes and sitting up. you snatched a bottle of asprin from your night stand and extended it to him along with the glass of water, "figured you'd want this when you woke up."
the corner of his mouth lifted up into a lopsided smile as he accepted your offer, downing a pill and half the water in one go, "yer too good to me, angel."
you offered up a soft smile as you took the glass and pill bottle back from him and set them on your nightstand. you took a seat on your bed next to atsumu, pushing back his disheveled hair back with one hand, prompting him to let out a content hum.
"i'm sorry for waking you," you whispered, letting your hand trail down the side of his face before coming to rest against his jaw, "how are you feeling?"
atsumu leaned into your touch, "much better, thanks to you. but, can we lay down again?"
you nodded, falling back to a laying position with atsumu following suit. however, this time he pulled you into his chest, holding you in his arms. you sunk further into him, finding it much easier to sleep this time as his warmth surrounded you and calmed your nerves.
-
i got a little carried away and this ended up a little longer than i intended, oops, oh well! i hope you like it!
