til that in the new upcoming assassins creed game, which takes place in japan, one of the two main characters isnt going to play like an assassin. like at all, apparently, because it seems he isnt even going to be given the standard assassin moveset

and yeah i get it the past several games (ignoring mirage and any non mainline games) havent exactly been assassin focused, but come on this is *japan*. assassins creed fans have been wanting to play an assassins creed set in japan for over a decade. frankly, the more news i hear about this game, the more i think naoe should be the only protagonist, and yasuke should play a major role in her story, but as an npc not a player character. cus his story sounds super interesting, and i really am curious to see how they do it, but it feels like having him as a second player character alongside naoe is a misstep.

also disclaimer- non of my concerns here have anything to do with his skin color. there were black people in japan at various points in history, extraordinarily rare as it was, and those people most certainly have interesting stories to be told. yasuke was actually the real name of a real african samurai. my problem is more so how they are handling it. although admittedly i do think its kinda bullshit to have your first mainline east asian game in a long running series about assassins have a player character who isnt east asian. i know naoe exist and i love her, but it feels wrong to not have it be primarily her story its her country. i want to know yasukes story but it feels like this is the wrong time and place to tell it

QSMP Sign Languages HCs (Eggs)

I like to think that besides the spoken languages the eggs also know the respective sign languages of their "first" (mainly used) language (but it also has exceptions which I'll all list)

A list to illustrate what I mean:

• Pomme - LSF (Langues de Signes Français/ French Sign Language)

• Richas - LIBRAS (Língua Brasileira de Sinais/Brazillian Sign Language)

• Empanada - ASL (American Sign Language)

• Sunny - BSL (British Sign Language)

• Pepito - LSM (Lengua de Señas Mexicana/Mexican Sign Language)

• Dapper - ASL

• Tallulah - BSL (getting close to fluency in LSM)

• Chayanne - BSL/LSM (is teaching Tallulah as well as himself)

• Leonarda - LSM

• Ramón - ASL

Chayanne and Tallulah are the only pair currently left that has active parents that speak two different languages, that's why they are fluent (or almost) in two. Chayanne at first was learning LSM with a bit of flase hope of Missa coming back and Tallulah got roped into it, but now Missa is back so it paid off.

Every single egg also tries to learn some basic phrases of the sign languages different from theirs.

They're mostly used for communication between the eggs but the parents are also learning the language of their respective children.

Please tell me if I got something wrong, I'm not that familiar with sign languages in general
