Ah, now I remember why I'm looking for a new job. My boss is a mirco-manager and routinely passive-aggressive.
Me: delivering useful links in an email about a subject. My boss, sending me a snide message: They already know that.
Yeah. We do asset management. Our job is literally to make it easy and set the stage for what's available? HELLO.
Also our ticket CMS sucks ass and it a rabbit-hole of inefficient project management.

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.
Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.
and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."
#chickens#like buddy you are never going to actually make a profit#and if by some miracle you do#it's going to be VERY SMALL#Considering the money you put into building or buying a coop#plus feed and bedding and equipment (waterers feeders perches etc) costs#egg cartons and enrichment and gas to go get the feed#the cost you (personally) probably put into building the egg stand you mentioned#a 50lbs bag of feed will feed 12 adult chickens for 8 days#12 chickens generally lay 6-12 eggs per day#usually less in the fall and may even stop in winter#a 50lb bag of feed is usually $12-15#and you wasted the first 6 months going eggless until they were old enough to lay#and that doesn't factor in oyster shell or anything else you may need to do for them#like worming or treating for coccidia or anything#and doesn't take into account your time#like asjh;dsfkgdh you really thought you were gonna make a buck doing this???#wank for ts

okay maybe a hot take but like. people going "spirk is canon now omg!!!" after that short film that just dropped - you do realize that like. it's not any more canon than it has been for like, forever, right?
they held hands and watched the sunset together. big whoop.
yes vulcans have a whole hand-holding thing, but like. kirk and spock have held hands before, this is not? any different? than any of that???
like people are out here screaming "OMG SPIRK IS CANON AFTER 57 YEARS" guys if holding hands and staring into each other eyes while the music swells is good enough to call it "canon" then spirk has been canon since the motion picture came out in 1979.

klaus is actually my all time favorite tvdverse character because i love a homicidal ruthless villain, but if he got to Peace after 1000 years of terrorizing people then the morality system for that is extremely whack and landon should not have had to do a damn thing to get to peace. imagine how many gold coins klaus would've had to wrack up, he should've been just wandering in limbo for several millenia if there's some kind of neutral transactional economic system for which dead people get to find peace

the worst part is i can't even say he's wrong. they certainly did figure out how to contribute the city by joining the wrgp. but like. this is one of those things where it literally does not make sense. this is insane levels of logic. "we're not sure how to contribute to the city. we think entering a magic the gathering tournament will help." like. imagine saying that fr when your parents ask what you're going to do after you graduate college. A new sculpture! Finally... I feel like I never sculpt anymore since I'm always sick or have some 500 other things going on or projects to finish, but I'm trying to schedule time to do it more often this year hopefully..! Just a generic fantasy creature as usual, but did try making the eyes a little more sparkly this time.. hrmm..

Curious that in the wake of Süleiman's first campaign, both Hürrem and Hatice are scared of forever losing the people they've come to love and have latched onto in order to keep going and find new meaning for themselves after their seemingly dealbreaking past and recent losses, all the while Hafsa reveals her intention to marry both of them off all in the same episode, thus reinforcing the alienation they would feel in Süleiman and Ibrahim's absences and threatening to fully cement it, cutting them off from their actual loves and bringing misery to them both.
#they think the possible permanent losses would happen far away where they can't see it and can't do anything to stop it#they simply learn it's happened and have to forcibly suck it and move on#thus the cause is just outside forces they can't reach#and not that both of them won't experience stuff like that later (heey some Nenni Desem parallels!)#but now the people they know are the ones who'll challenge the comfort they lean on so much#it's happening right in front of them on their watch#of course there're also differences like it all happening more slowly for one and more suddenly for the other#and Hürrem striving to stop her marriage at any cost because if she doesn't save solidify her position she'll be done for#while Hatice not even thinking about opposing it as that would mean disappointing her closest#and standing against what she believes and should adhere to no matter how much it breaks her#there's also Hafsa wanting to marry Hatice off out of genuine yet misplaced care for her well-being and happiness#and Hafsa wanting to marry Hürrem in order to nullify the threat she represents and *pretends* to show care just to achieve that#(there we go - the first instances of people thinking they know what's best for Hatice while not knowing what Hatice herself thinks at all)#but you get the idea#magnificent century#muhteşem yüzyıl#muhtesem yuzyil#hurrem sultan#hatice sultan

A fun thing you don't know until you have reason to be actually getting quotes is that furniture for public/high-use/corporate (or public-ish) spaces is heckin expensive
presumably because these things need to stand up to tons of use by people over and over and over, but like
I've spent the day researching and requesting quotes for rolling whiteboards and the prices I've seen from companies I'd probably trust are so far a minimum of $800 for a single whiteboard roughly the height of an average 8-year-old.
#my office chair—swiped from what used to be a setup for patrons in the main library area—is probably a $600 chair by itself#it doesn't look impressive or executive or anything (but I love it) (which is why I was looking to see what it would cost)#bought a $100 rolling whiteboard from Amazon once to tide us over because students use these things SO much#and it died in like. 2 weeks.#Normal furniture is not made to stand up to near-constant use all day after day after day#it's not just libraries; education and corporate places seem to be the same (since what I'm looking for is also advertised for them)#anyway the lesson here is please alumni give us money so we can afford stuff#Kayt.txt#tumblarians#working in a library#library life
