In Crimson Hero, Link needs to rescue the great fairies that have been trapped in Ganon’s control, and they are all Faima’s sisters! They disowned her unfortunately and banished her outside of Hyrule so :((( she’s not in good terms (except for the blue one who genuinely cared about her)

I don’t have names for them all but here is them:

Green: the forest great fairy. Is cold towards Faima but is obsessed with Benji and Link for some reason? Link is cuz he’s the hero but Benji? Who knows. Keep her away from him.

Red: fire great fairy. Is actively cruel towards Faima and the family. She can work with Link cuz he’s the hero but she constantly insults Faima and Benji. Very cruel.

Blue: water great fairy. Actually cares for Faima and visited her at times against the other’s wishes. She likes the others and Faima is eternally grateful to her kindness.

Yellow: the light great fairy. The oldest sister and vanished Faima out of Hyrule for her relations with a Hylian. She’s cold towards everyone, but she tries to act without bias. She knows a lot about Hyrule. I hate how she turned out here lol. Might redesign her.

And Faima! Benji’s wife and Link’s mother. She’s supposed to be pink (I’m removing the green from her hair) but I don’t have any magenta colors and it turned out darker than I liked. I tried to save it with my colored pencils and it worked, but on camera it’s too dark 😔 she’s very sweet but she’s also very quiet and shy. Link definitely gets that from her.

Benji! The problem. Link’s dad and Faima’s husband. He loves her but feels a LOT of guilt over his wife being disowned and banished due to her having relations with him. He wishes they could welcome her back, even if it means losing her. But Faima would never let that happen. She loves him too much.

something that grinds my gears so bad is when people are like “the humphreys aren’t even poor … they live in a big loft so dan has no reason to complain” guys. idk how to explain to you that the sets of houses/apartments on television will almost never be accurate to the canon socioeconomic status of the characters. yes you would have to be ultra mega loaded to live in an loft that big in brooklyn in the real world but in the established canon of gossip girl dan is only able to go to st. jude’s on scholarship, jenny cant afford a dress for her first party and has to sew one herself, and rufus considers selling the loft to be able to afford sending dan to college. like there are so many established details that show us explicitly that they are not even close to the level of wealth that the UES characters are and all i ever see online is people going “but the loft” ITS A TV SHOW like oh my god. it’s such a cinemasins type complaint to make. if you watch the entire series and come away genuinely thinking the humphreys don’t experience class disparity worthy of being a major part of their storyline then idk what to tell you

and one of the collabs hypmovie has is with a real estate service!!!! they have posters with the characters’ home wants and for ichiro, he says he wants a kitchen big enough for multiple stoves, so that man is def feeling stifled by his small kitchen lol

IMO, Artemis i, ii, and Angeline are codependent in a way that doesn't result in yelling matches per se, but rather codependent in the sense of, “I love you so much I want to put you in a snow globe and look at it for hours in a quiet room”.

On the one hand, Artemis II acts like he's the parent despite being 15-17 — and then on the other hand, Angeline and Artemis I see every awful thing that happens with the People as if it were happening to Artemis circa age 6.

All this is complicated by Artemis being thee baby of the family/the Original Heir***. There’s a tension in Artemis thinking that he needs to puppeteer his parents for the good of The Family, whereas his parents hold that maybe the world did end when Artemis died (TLG) and to pretend otherwise is insane.

***"Thee baby" not in the sense of youngest or most infantilized. Of course, in TEC, Fowl Sr grieves at the sight of the adult-like Artemis in front of him during the hospital visit, as does Angeline in TAI during a phone call.

Rather, I joke about this in the sense that like... Angeline and Artemis I never get to see Artemis grow up. Not to mention, Artemis was born into an era of the Fowls where it would be reasonable to worry that someone would do ill by Artemis to hurt the family due to him being the only heir (at the time). Myles and Beckett are born into a wholly different world than Artemis was. So much of the anguish over Artemis has to do with that context!
