I love days when the client company is off so it’s just me and my little team working and we kind of spread out our hours. one coworker took a three hour lunch to go fishing. my manager is stepping out for a walk before it starts raining. I got through my whole need-to-call-phone-numbers mail pile that’s been building up for months since the places are actually open

Life was good.
I mean, how could it not be? You got to fight side by side with some of Earth's greatest heroes. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash...oh and Black Canary and—
Yeah. It was great. Not to mention how incredibly easy it was for you to defeat the bad guys you'd fought. You definitely didn't have four near death experiences because of them!
Well you did, but they were completely your fault and not at the hands of a couple of phony villains. They happened before you got used to your powers and gone through extensive training.
It seemed like a curse at first, but now you take them with stride. Your super strength foreign as you'd broke nearly everything in your apartment (that hadn't been a fun thing to explain to your Aunt and Uncle when they came home to a trashed place). Sticky hands well...getting stuck to literally everything. The amount of money you spent replacing your clothes after accidentally ripping up your whole closet only trying to get ready for school...that was also not fun explaining to your guardians.
And the webs. Oh boy. You didn't want to think about it. The hole in your wrist that shot out webs like a proper spider freaked you out the most. You nearly turned yourself in to the government after that one. It was something that took the most mental work to control, the weird hole (yuck) closing up when you didn't need it.
The one thing you did appreciate immediately was the abs. Yeah, those were nice to wake up to one morning.
Today was just another day in your life. A simple mission happening in the middle of the city. Actually it was a pretty unusual mission, it wasn't the regular Ice Family or Joker cult you were fighting...but a Rhino. Seemingly a man in a Rhino cosplay. And his henchmen? Definitely not something you see everyday, but you have seen weirder.
Speaking of his henchmen...there was a lot of them. Enough to keep each member of the team occupied. They had insanely advanced weaponry, surprisingly keeping the fight going for a while.
You hadn't realized so many of the guys were on you now, all surrounding you and trying to shoot at you with guns that weren't spitting out regular bullets.
You look to your side and see your best friend (he doesn't think so but that's what you tell everyone so deal with it sucker). Speedy, Green Arrow's sidekick, Roy Harper under the mask, and Pain in the Ass (a nickname you'd affectionately given him) to you.
You were in a compromising position, one that you could easily get yourself out of. But now you've spotted an unoccupied Roy and you wanted to have a little fun admist the chaos.
"Hey pain in my ass! A little help here!" The men were now taking shots with their fists, all failing to land their hits of course. And your best friend had completely ignored you.
"Hellooooo you know I'm talking to you!"
"I told you I wouldn't answer when you called me that. And I thought I made myself very clear." Definitely referring to the embarrassing way he took you down in front of the team after harassing him all week with the nickname a month ago.
"Well you answered right now soo...."
An arrow suddenly flew right past you, nearly grazing your cheek. A couple more followed.
"Um hello?! You nearly took me out!"
"That's my way of saying cut it out while saving your ass. And don't your spidey senses detect that kind of stuff? Danger and threats? You should've seen them coming."
"Huh. Guess you aren't as threatening as you think you are. At least not with that silly little hat on."
He simply glared at you. He was definitely going to kick your ass later. (Again).
With your guys dealt with, you turned to watch as Flash and Kid Flash emptied out a school bus on the road. Well, watched was a strong word. The job was done before you could fully process what was happening.
And suddenly that same school bus was being throw your way by the Rhino-man. Directly above your head actually.
Uh oh.
CRASH!
This was the third time that's happened to you this week!
He had good aim, you'll admit. It landed on you perfectly, but thanks to your incredible strength he seemingly didn't know about (how could he not? You're literally the Spider-Person from tv! Spider-Person...pfft what a stupid name. No one seemed to come up with something better), the biggest indicator to this being his shocked face. Oh how you loved that look. You threw it right back at him. Jokes on Rhino-man, you also had incredible aim.
"It's gonna take a lot more than a school bus to take me out!" Although you could feel the nearly broken rib and bruises you'd need to get checked out before you went home today.
You sighed happily, dusting your hands, "light work to me. Maybe try one of those city buses next time? Might be heavier and more effective-"
The words barely left your mouth before a city bus was being throw at you, "Wait I didn't actually mean it!" You caught the bus this time. And although your senses knew the danger was coming, it was still a bus that caught you off guard with its weight. Your legs and arms quivered at the force of having to hold it up, you could feel every bruise spotted on your body with the strain and it was not fun. While your body healed faster than the average human, it definitely wasn't fast enough to recover from the previous hit.
The back of the bus was fully tipped to the sky. You prayed there was no one in this thing. And sure you were strong, but there was no way you could tip it back on its wheels without potentially hurting someone.
Luckily Superman helped you with that, seeing you struggle. He easily took it off your hands (show off) and maneuvered it so it was placed safely back on the road.
"Thanks Supes!" He gave a nod and his famous smile.
It was only a couple more minutes of fighting and cars being thrown around before the whole thing was wrapped up. The adults would give their words to the police and news reporters, blah blah blah...
While they did that, you and your best friends, the teens (the cooler ones) got together like you always did after a mission.
Superman is being interviewed by the infamous Lois Lane (the talk of the teen team, there was definitely tension there).
All while Wally stands a little behind them making faces and ridiculous poses for the camera. The rest of you stood out of shot either cackling or rolling your eyes.
Wally steps back, clearly offended. "What? All he's doing is flirting with her in front of a live audience. Remember what they said last time? No one's gonna be paying attention to me."
Robin snickers, "What? The whole 'no one can take Superman' 'but you sure can'?" He repeats their words in poorly done impressions.
"That was totally an innuendo!"
"Very mature KF."
"Hey! Robin and Spider laughed with me. And I saw Speedy’s smirk, he sat there trying to pretend he didn't find it funny. Maybe you should get that stick out of your ass, Aqualad?"
Roy, completely serious, replies, "Now that's no way to talk to the adults' favorite."
You perk up, "oh, me?"
Your friends immediately explode into disagreement, apparently in disbelief you'd think such a thing.
It was a simple story, how it all came to be. You got bit by a spider (totally cool about it).
Totally didn't scream your ass off because of it and stay paranoid the rest of the day, constantly thinking there was a creepy crawler on you...no. You found out the next day that you weren't actually paranoid—if you were in the first place, which you were not! Because apparently the spider had camped out in your clothes all day and night...
You totally didn't scream your ass off again that morning at the revelation.
You did scream at the sight of abs on your body that same morning though. And that's the only reason you'll ever thank the spider, forget the cool powers.
After that you thought it would be cool to use your powers for good, inspired by your uncle. You decided to have your own cool hero costume, symbol, and name (which you still haven't gotten. You originally thought of the Human Spider. People on the streets called it dumb, claiming they would not be calling you that). You had (unfortunately) been (TEMPORARILY!) named the Spider-Person. Which was insanely stupid and you needed to come up with something quick before it stuck completely. Maybe the Human Spider wasn't so good but it wasn't as bad as your unofficial name now!
Anyways, as for the cool hero costume. You had to use what you had at the time, which was...your normal clothes. Getting a costume online seemed cheap, and dressing up as an existing character in the media and saving people seemed wrong. It would only deny your identity as a hero. So you put on whatever clothes (mostly colorful pajamas) that you had, covered the bottom half of your face with a bandanna, and called it a night. And boy did that get you a lot of ridicule, but you got the job done, right? The only thing it didn't do was protect your body from scrapes and...stab wounds. You hated little knives.
You're not the smartest in the world and it's not like you had the money someone like Bruce Wayne could pull out of their ass and make cool superhero wear.
Once you were recruited by Batman, he gave you your own hero costume—no, suit. Every suggestion you made was followed. It was perfect. The mask had to be your favorite part though. Something you didn't suggest was the some type of magic on it, something called hammerspace. Basically you could have any type of hair, or ears...probably even a pair of headphones on your head and it won't show through. It'll seemingly disappear to this hammerspace (you weren't sure how it worked exactly, but it works nonetheless so you won't question it). The magic was done by a team member who was needed very rarely named Zatara. Another man with a silly hat on his head.
You attempted to try it with Batman to see if his bat ears would disappear (which was completely encouraged by Robin by the way. No- completely his idea!) He was not happy. (You got benched for a month...no patrols, no missions...and Robin got off scott-free! How was that fair?!)
Wally starts to bring up your part of the fight, specifically the bus incident.
"Hey isn't that the third time that's happened to you this week?"
You sigh, exasperated and playing it up, "yes."
Robin butts in before you could say anything more, "Couldn't you have caught them? Y'know with your spidey senses and incredible strength?" He has the nastiest smirk on his face. His smartass totally figured you out.
"Well yeah, duh. But it's fun seeing the looks on the bad guys' faces when they realize I'm not dead and I can carry a however many pound bus! Is that so bad?"
"No but it's embarrassing for us."
"What? What's that supposed to mean?"
"Yeah, our best friend who's powers include crazy senses that gives them insane reflexes? That best friend can't catch a big, yellow bus being thrown at them? Embarrassing." The one time Roy will take the claim as your best friend is when he's insulting you? Unsurprising.
Kaldur cut in, sensing your defense a mile away, "It is pretty shameful of you."
Your jaw dropped, even Kaldur of all of people was agreeing? Oh this is insane!
You point a figure at your friends, trying to get your threat across, "Well I find that incredibly offensive and you should all take that back before I-"
"Isn't the point of your powers to detect danger before it comes? How come that's the third time this week you've been hit by a school bus? It's embarrassing, Spider." Batman's monotone voice made his words all the more insulting. Your frown deepened.
You sigh, "Yup. Real embarrassing for me. I got that."
"No, embarrassing for me. I've got a reputation to keep up."
He walks away without another word.
"I can't tell if he was trying to joke around like you guys were, but I'm still offended."
"He was being dead serious. And for the record, so were we."

Finally.
After what seemed like the longest two weeks of your life, the 2024 rushing season was finally over.
Bid Day was a hit, and you congratulated all your new sisters to Delta Gamma. After all the bumping of eager girls and accepting them into the Greek life of UCLA, you could finally wind down.
Being a Big to everyone for tonight, you decided to let all your girls in the chapter know that it was time for a night out over at SAE. As a Big you were supposed to set a standard for the underclassmen, but that 'standard’ was thrown out the window a long time ago.
Plus, you technically 'did' set the standard for them. Have fun and get drunk with your friends.
Right now, you were playing beer pong against one of the newest members of your sorority.
Kaylor? Kayla? Her name started with a K, but you both were pretty buzzed, and if you said either name, you were sure she wasn’t going to care.
As you were drinking out one of the cups, out the corner of your eye, you spotted Billie Eilish, Pi Phi’s new president for this year’s chapter.
You didn’t get to meet her the past few weeks because of all the chaos of rushing and all that.
Billie was well known around campus and even when she got to UCLA as a freshman, there were already rumors she was going to be the president for Pi Phi later on. She was also known for just being hot.
And that she was.
She was also known for just being a natural flirt with everyone on campus.
Rumor has it that she hookups with rich closeted sorority girls. But then again, just a rumor…
As the alcohol settled in your stomach, you could already feel the potent drink do its work, as your worries were all of a sudden off your mind.
"Fuck. I knew I should've pulled trig tonight."
Your tone was full of annoyance and regret. You then heard your VP, Leah, laugh from beside you.
"I literally told you three times before we left the house."
Leah has been your best friend ever since you got to UCLA, and the two of you went through multiple rushes together your freshman year before you two decided to stick with DG. She's basically been your ride-or-die throughout all of college.
"Oh shit, it's Billie."
Leah pointed out, leaning back a little behind you to get a better look at Billie, nearly stumbling over at how far she was leaning back, "You think the rumors are true?"
You then turned to look at Billie as she held a drink in her hand and chatted to a bunch of blondes who laughed at whatever she was saying with the biggest grin on her face.
"Too controversial to answer."
Leah just laughed and took her turn to throw the ping pong ball, "You need to talk to her. You're both the new presidents."
Billie took a drink out of her plastic red cup, not caring that there was definitely way too much alcohol in there, but that's how she always liked it. She was on her 3rd cup at this point and had already lost count of how many shots she's had.
She was having a conversation with Sasha, one of her closest friends and a member of the sorority, when she suddenly felt her friend's hand on her shoulder, grabbing her attention.
"Is that the new president of DG? Hopefully she isn't like Grace. Fucking bitch."
She rolled her eyes as the name 'Grace' passed through her friend's lips, and she looked in the direction where her friend's gaze was directed at. Grace was last year's president, and just an all around snobby-bitch.
Billie was leaning against the wall and watching your sisters play beer pong with you, a cup in your hand.
"Who's that next to her?" Billie asked, trying to get a better look.
"Leah. Her best friend. Also the new VP this year for DG but she's more down to earth and chill." Sasha explained.
"Hm," Billie hummed, still staring at you from a distance, noticing how much you seemed to be talking to your best friend during the game.
"Is she single?"
Sasha rolled her eyes, already knowing where this was going.
"Dude," She groaned, sipping from her drink. "Do you have to flirt with every girl that shows up on campus?"
"Hey," Billie held up her free hand in defense as she downed the rest of her drink and set it down on the nearby ledge, pushing herself away from the wall.
"I'm just making conversation." She winked at her best friend as she started walking forwards in your direction. The alcohol was starting to get to her head as usual, as a small smirk tugged on her lips.
As Leah tried to practice her throw, you looked back towards Billie's direction to see her approaching the two of you, making you double take and widen your eyes.
Immediately hitting Leah on the arm to signal her, only causing the ping pong ball to fly out of her grip.
"Dude!"
You turned at Leah's dramatic tone to see the ping pong ball roll away from the table and get trampled by the dancing crowd. A wince leaving your lips and turning to her, "Sorry."
Leah turns away from you and to the little's across from the table.
"Number one rule! Never distract your partner when it's their turn!"
You furrow your eyebrows at Leah's passive-aggressive tone and roll your eyes, tapping her again. Leah turned over to you again in annoyance.
"Billie's coming."
A small 'Shit' was mumbled from Leah's lips as she tried to make herself look presentable.
Which was not happening.
The two of you were completely buzzed and not appropriately prepared to meet the other sorority's president.
Billie had a smirk on her lips, watching as the ball went flying across the room and the way Leah was yelling, causing her steps to quicken.
She was only a few feet away from you when finally approaching you both.
"Hey." She said, casually leaning against the table, arms crossing and watching as Leah tried to 'act normal'.
Her eyes then flickering over to your form, a smirk still on her lips.
"You're Y/N right? The new president for DG?"
"Billie! Hi!"
Your voice was nice and sweet. You extended your clammy hand out to shake Billie's hand.
"That would be me, yes. It's nice to finally meet you! Rushing was more hectic than I thought it'd be this year."
There was a kind smile on your lips as you spoke, not letting the alcohol that you'd consumed so far phase you. Leah, on the other hand, was still oblivious to Billie being in front of you and still applying her lip gloss.
Sneaking a hand behind your back to hit Leah on her thigh to stop doing whatever she was doing.
Billie took your hand and shook it, noting how soft the skin on your hand was.
She chuckled, still holding onto your hand even after the handshake was done. She was also definitely checking you out, her eyes roaming up and down our body.
"I feel you dude, it's my first year being pres so I'm surprised I survived." Billie joked, letting go of your hand and now wrapping one of her hands around the side of her own hip.
Her gaze moved over to Leah quickly and silently observed your friend for a moment.
She was too busy applying on more lip gloss, completely unaware of Billie's presence and how much time she was taking.
"Who's your friend? She seems...busy."
You turned halfway to Leah to see her drunken state, whipping your head back to Billie with a half smile. Hitting Leah on the arm to signal her to stop putting on her fucking lip gloss.
"This is Leah, my VP this year."
Billie let out a chuckle as she watched you try to get your VP's attention off what she was doing. Seeing her finally snapping out of it and look up.
"Hey," Leah said, a small smile growing on her lips as she noticed Billie next to you.
"Hey," Billie gave a friendly greeting, waving at Leah for a moment.
She had seen Leah from across the room earlier and now up close, she was almost as pretty as you. It was easy to tell that the two of you were close.
"Congrats on being VP this year." Billie said, now putting both hands on her hips.
"Thanks."
There was a sudden, uncomfortable silence, the music being the only thing being heard as you all looked at each other silently.
You cleared your throat and turned to Leah, grabbing her arm and turning to Billie.
"Maybe Leah should meet your new VP?"
Billie's eyes watched as you grabbed Leah's arm, and she hummed in thought for a moment.
"Yeah...sure. Sasha's over there by the wall."
Billie pointed over to the direction where her VP was standing, sipping slowly on her drink as she talked to other members of the sorority, her eyes quickly meeting Billie's as soon as she noticed where her gaze was directed at.
"Cool!"
You gave Leah no time to protest against the idea and nudged her over toward Sasha, leaving Billie and you alone. A soft smile formed on your lips as you looked at her, her blue eyes becoming very intimidating for some weird reason,
"So…"
Billie turned her gaze back to you, the smirk never leaving her lips as her eyes lingered on your features for a moment.
"So," She repeated, still having one hand wrapped around her hip and the other still resting on the table. "How you holding up so far?" She asked, knowing damn well you had both probably been drinking more than necessary.
She tilted her head to the side slightly, a hum leaving her lips as she was waiting for your response.
She was silently studying your body language, her eyes glancing from your face to your chest for a brief moment and back up.
"A little overwhelmed. But honestly excited nonetheless for this year."
Good Y/N. Play it cool.
"What about you?"
Now it was your turn to tilt your head at her and give her a small grin, taking a swig of your drink.
Billie chuckled and nodded for a moment before mirroring the action and taking a sip of her cup as well.
"I'm a bit overwhelmed myself, to be completely honest. But I'm excited for this year too.”
She let out a weary sigh jokingly, her eyes never leaving yours.
Her gaze then lowered again to your figure, this time it seemed like she was studying you a bit more closely. Seeing the way your jean shorts hugged your body perfectly around your hips and thighs and how the top you wore showed off your cleavage just slightly.
You nodded at her statement with an all knowing smile, looking around the crowded frat party. Red cup still in hand as your eyes scanned the party, settling on a guy you used to hang around with.
Your eyes immediately widening as his tall frame walked over to you with a smile. His framed dazzled in his UCLA polo unbuttoned slightly paired with a pair of blue Lululemon shorts and with his ruffled blond hair.
“Oh god, help me.”
Muttering it quickly out your lips and quickly shimming your way into Billie’s arms, grabbing her arms and wrapping them around your waist. Wrapping your around her shoulders and looking up at her as if she was saying something interesting.
“Just go with it.”
Billie was taken by surprise as you suddenly wrapped her arms around your waist and pulled her against you. Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment in confusion but she didn't struggle against it, instead allowing herself to get pulled into your warmth.
She was about to question what you were doing until you suddenly spoke.
"Just go with it."
Not knowing what you were on about, her head turned so she could glance over her shoulders, seeing the guy that you were worried about coming closer.
"Got it." She replied in a whisper.
“What do you think people would think about this? Being two presidents and all?” You say in a fake but evident seductive tone, caressing Billie’s neck with your french tipped nails. Trying to let Aaron know to just walk away.
Looking up at Billie with a hungry look that you only use when you want something.
Billie stayed composed as best she could, watching the guy for a moment before her eyes flicked back to your face, feeling your nails graze her exposed neck.
She swallowed the lump in her throat, noticing how hungry you looked, almost as if you were about to devour her. Her breath hitched slightly in her throat and she tried to form words.
"I don't think… most people would care…" Billie said, glancing down at your lips for a brief moment, realizing how much shorter you were to her.
“I’d hope not,” You whispered on Billie’s lips glancing over her shoulder to still see Aaron there. Rolling your eyes but so only Billie could see it.
“Aaron hey!”
A fake, cheery tone seeping through your voice separating your hands off of Billie’s neck and resting them on her chest so you were still attached to her.
Billie's heart began to beat faster in her chest as she felt your hands move from her neck to her chest, and her breathing came out as sharper and quicker. She was fighting back the urge to stare down at how your hands were resting right by her cleavage.
She forced the smirk back on her lips, looking over to the guy who was now standing in front of you, his body language showing how he was annoyed and jealous.
"Hey, Y/N," He said, not even bothering to acknowledge Billie.
“Sorry I never called back,” You fake apologized with a frown, soothing your hands over Billie’s chest softly, “I got busy with rushing and everything.”
Looking at Aaron with an innocent look, he was a nice guy. He was hot and tall and athletic and rich, everything you could want in a guy, but he was bland in personality. Sex was good with him but definitely could be better.
Aaron kept his gaze focused on you, noticing how your hands were caressing the other girl's chest, something he had gotten so used to you doing to him. He didn't like the way you were touching her, but he stayed composed.
"Yeah, I saw the new girls around campus." He said, keeping his words short. He then eyed Billie, who had stayed silent up to this point.
"You look familiar, have I seen you somewhere before?"
Billie looked from you to Aaron for a moment and shrugged when he asked the question.
"Maybe around campus, I'm usually on campus a lot." She said, trying to keep her voice nonchalant as she felt your hands still moving over her chest. It was increasingly becoming harder for her to keep her cool.
“Billie here is the new Pres for Pi Phi. Isn’t that right Bils?”
Glancing your sweet eyes up to hers with a million dollar smile, your hands still on her chest which could feel her immense heart beat.
"Yep…" Billie said in response, glancing down at your hands for a moment as they continued to move across her clothed chest, and back up to your face.
She wasn't sure how much longer she could hold back the urge to press you up against the table behind you and kiss you senseless.
"How long have you known each other?" Aaron asked bluntly, his eyes still lingering on you and Billie.
You looked up at Billie expectantly so she could answer the question still giving her a soft smile, feeling her hands grip tighter at your hips.
Billie took a deep breath, trying to compose herself as you looked up at her with an expectant look on your face.
Her brain was becoming increasingly clouded as her hands continued to grip your hips tighter, noticing how small you felt under her grasp.
"Uh-" She began, clearing her throat slightly. "About a month now…yeah…"
She glanced over at Aaron, his facial expression hadn't changed, he was still looking at the both of you with slight annoyance.
"A month, huh?" He said, and crossed his arms against his chest, shifting his focus away from Billie and back to you. "We've been together for like…eight months."
"Hooking up, Aaron," You immediately butt in as the blond boy finished his sentence, "We've been hooking up for eight months."
Aaron's face immediately turned into a mixture of anger and hurt, he didn't expect you to say it out loud and in front of the other President no less.
He shot you a death glare, his eye narrowing slightly and his hands clenching into fists for a moment before he tried to regain his composure.
"Why not just give it another chance, sweetheart?" He tried to convince, ignoring Billie. "We were good together."
A flash of disgust spreads on your face for a millisecond at his pet name for you, immediately covering it up with a fake smile, patting hit chest with your hand softly.
"Goodbye, Aaron."
Sliding your hand off Aaron's chest slyly and taking Billie's hand in yours, leading her past the table and weaving through the crowds of students that danced. Halting in an instant, finding a spot on the floor and turning around to Billie, giving her an look of expectancy.
Billie was silently following beside you as you led her around the table, her hand interlocked with yours as you continued to weave your way through the crowds.
She could feel the way Aaron's eyes burned into the back of her head, knowing damn well he was pissed that you were now with her of all people.
When you halted in your tracks, Billie stumbled slightly before steadying herself, suddenly being spun around to face you, her eyes meeting yours, an expectant look on your face.
"What?" She asked with a laugh, noting the expectant look you had on your face
"I love this song," You replied with a smile, 'I Like It' by Enrique Iglesias blasted through the speakers that surrounded the fraternity house. People began jumping up and down to the music, yelling the lyrics to each other, or dancing with one another by swaying side to side.
Billie let out a low hum, listening to the beginning of the song for a moment, her eyes watching the people around her who were beginning to sing and dance. Some people were even grinding on each other.
She turned her attention back to you, a smirk on her lips as her eyes locked back onto yours.
"You wanna dance?"
A fake gasp left your lips as you laid a hand on your chest and an immediate smile formed on your lips, "Why I thought you'd never ask!" Looping your arms around Billie's neck and letting one of your hands bury itself in her soft, black hair.
Billie chuckled at your reaction, watching you dramatically gasp and pout before looping your arms around her neck. She could feel one of your hands weaving into her hair, and she subconsciously leaned into the touch.
Her own arms immediately wrapped around your waist, her hands resting just above your ass and pulling you closer to her so your hips were touching.
She let out a breathless laugh as she began to sway them together to the rhythm.
They remained at a gentle swaying motion for a while, Billie's eyes looking down at you as you pressed against her, your hips now touching firmly.
She was slightly taller than you which allowed her to look down at you pretty easily, her breath still coming out in quick pants, her hands still resting firmly around your waist, her grip being just tighter than it needs to be.
"You smell nice." She muttered suddenly, her eyes roaming over your features.
"Le Labo," You commented, not letting the way Billie's hands gripped your waist go unnoticed, flashing her a knowing smile. Looking into her blue eyes and realizing how easy it was to fall for anything she did, now fully believing in the rumors. You couldn't blame the girls though, especially with the way Billie had a way with her eyes.
You gripped her hair in the softest way that you could and leaned into her ear, "Are the rumors true?"
Pulling back away from her ear with a smirk on your lips and a tilt of your head, still continuing to sway your hips to the music.
Billie's heart beat a bit faster in her chest when you moved your head closer to her, her breath hitching in her throat to hearing your whispering voice question the rumors.
She leaned in close, her lips skimming the shell of your ear as she responded. "Which ones?"
Her eyes flicked down to your smirking lips before back up to your face, her hands still holding you by the hips, not letting you get too far away from her.
She continued to sway them together, keeping a steady rhythm as they danced to the music. Occasionally she would glance around them, noticing how a few eyes were on the both of you.
Most likely from the fact that two sorority girls, leaders of the schools sororities, were holding each other so closely and dancing so intimately with each other.
Billie didn't care though. She ignored how people's eyes lingered on them and kept her focus on you.
She hummed softly, her eyes now roaming over your face, taking in every small detail, how your hair was slightly messy from dancing, and the natural redness in your cheeks from the alcohol.
“Don’t play coy Eilish…” You teased with a smile, softening the grip you had on Billie’s hair.
Letting your eyes roam to her plump, pink lips that carried a soft look that was too inviting and enticing to the naked eye. You took in a sharp breath and looked back up into Billie’s eye with a shrug, “I don’t blame you, some of the girls from the other chapters aren’t all that bad.”
Billie chuckled at the way you teased her, hearing the way you spoke her last name, something about how you said it made her heart flutter.
Her gaze shifted back to your face, watching you look at her lips, her tongue darting out to moisten them as your eyes roamed over her features.
Her grip on your hips shifted, her hands now moving to your lower back, her hands splaying across the fabric of your top and resting right above your ass.
She rolled her eyes softly, amused by your comment.
"Oh really, you don't blame me?"
Her hands on your back began to wander, exploring the soft expanse of your skin under your shirt.
Her brain was becoming increasingly clouded as the alcohol and the sensation of you pressed up against her body began to overwhelm her. She could feel the heat from your body and it was making her head become hazy.
Her eyes were now fixated on your neck for a moment, noticing the way your skin glowed under the lights of the club. The urge to press her lips to the skin there nearly becoming unbearable.
Your heart began to beat out your chest and through every other part of your body, feeling every touch and look Billie give you, deep inside. Wetting your lips with a slow drag of your tongue across both lips, bitting your lips to restrain any feelings that were ready to fully pounce onto Billie.
Letting out a small chuckle and looking down at the necklace that rested on Billie’s chest, taking it in your hand and gently rubbing the cool metal.
“Y’know if you wanted to hook up, you could just ask?”
Billie chuckled breathlessly at your comment, her eyes following your tongue as it moved across your lips slowly. Her eyes darkened slightly as she watched your teeth bite into the sensitive skin before looking down at her necklace that was in your grasp.
She swallowed thickly as your fingers began to gently play with the metal of the chain wrapped around her neck.
Her own hands continued to move across your body, her fingers still tracing the lines of your spine. She could feel the heat growing in her stomach, burning with an all familiar want.
"Is that an offer?"
“Depends…”
Dropping Billie’s necklace back on her chest and trailing your hand on her chest and up to her neck, lightly scraping your french tipped nails on her soft, pale skin. Looking up into her beautiful blue eyes with a look she’s probably familiar with.
“What would you say?”
Billie's eyes fluttered shut briefly as your hand moved back up to her neck, her breath shuddering when you scraped your nails gently along her skin.
She shivered under your touch, her neck leaning into your palm slightly and her own hands now gripping your hips a bit tighter than before.
She let out a breathless laugh, opening her eyes to look back at you with a smirk. "You're gonna regret it if I agree to it."
A small laugh leaves your lips at her assumption before you licked your lips with a tilt of your head, narrowing your eyes in curiosity.
“Why would that be Billie?”
Billie bit down on her bottom lip, watching the way you licked your lips as you looked at her with a smirk. Her own eyes flicked over your features, her grip on your hips still holding onto you tightly, almost as if she was scared that you'd pull away from her.
She chuckled lowly as you tilted your head and looked at her with a curious look on your face. Her own eyes darkened as she looked down at you, her lips curving to form her smirk again.
"Because," she began, her breath coming out in pants. "You won't be able to walk straight tomorrow."
Your eyes widen in a sense of shock along with a laugh as you leaned your head into her chest, leaning back with a surprised smile. Closing your eyes for a few seconds to try and rid the dirty thoughts from your mind.
Opening your eyes to see Billie’s hungry gaze, “Okay then, let’s make a deal…”
Taking in a small breather and giving Billie a small, gentle smile.
“We hook up and I get to see if the rumors are true and you are as good as they all say, but if you aren’t then you have to live with the embarrassment. But if you do manage to make me not walk straight then you earn bragging rights.”
As you leaned your head into her chest, Billie chuckled at your shocked expression and laughed along with you.
Her hands still gripping your hips slightly as she watched you open your eyes, her expression slowly shifting to a look of need as she listened to your next words.
A smirk slowly formed on her lips as you gave her a smile but with a hint of a challenge. Her eyes darkened as she watched your face for a moment, listening to your words intently, her grip on your hips tightening slightly.
She nodded her head slowly, her eyes never leaving your face. "Deal."
Without warning you stopped the sway of your hips and let your hands leave Billie’s body, grabbing her hand in yours and guiding her through the party. Weaving through multiple students that were drunkenly dancing.
Finally reaching the door and bidding the president of the fraternity goodbye, Billie’s hand still in yours as she followed like a lost dog.
“Where’s your car?”
Billie followed you silently, her eyes roaming over the various frat boys and sorority girls who were drunk out of their minds and dancing up against each other, holding onto red solo cups that they no doubt filled with alcohol.
She kept her hand in yours, gently intertwining the fingers as you led her out the doorway of the fraternity house, the cool night air feeling refreshing against her heated skin.
She paused for a moment as you asked her where her car was. "Parked across the road."
Your eyes follow to where Billie motioned her head to see a black Porsche 718 Cayman and laughing softly to yourself.
“Why am I not surprised?”
Billie chuckled as you looked across the road to her Porsche, which gleamed in the street light. She rolled her eyes at your comment as she began to walk across the road, your hand still in hers.
"She’s my baby." She exclaimed as she fished her keys out of her pocket, unlocking the car and opening the passenger door for you.
As you stepped into the passenger seat, Billie shut the door behind you, making her way around the car and getting into the driver’s seat. The engine roared to life as she pushed down on the clutch and the fuel pedal, the car taking off down the street.
Billie didn’t say anything as she maneuvered her way through the traffic, her hands gripping the steering wheel, her knuckles turning slightly white.
The silence between you was deafening, but not uncomfortable as she drove the both of you to the Pi Phi sorority house.
While the drive was silent with the car radio playing in the background quietly, your heart began to beat even faster as the car passed the familiar street of sorority houses.
You’d never been nervous or anxious to hook up with anyone like this before in your life, let alone presidents to Greek chapters, but it was Billie so this was different.
After a few minutes, Billie finally pulled up in front of her sorority house, immediately putting the car into park and shutting off the engine.
The sudden silence was almost deafening as the two of you sat in the car, the only sound being Billie’s heavy breathing and the occasional car driving by.
She turned to look at you, her eyes dark and filled with a multitude of emotions as she waited for your next move.
Billie let out a small chuckle at your innocent smile that you flashed her and stepped out of the car, making her way around to open the door for you.
She offered you her hand to assist you out of the car, her blue eyes looking down at you with a smirk. “Let’s go.”
A laugh left your lips as you rolled your eyes at Billie’s chivalrous actions much different from the actions that she was going to do to you inside the house.
Accepting her hand into yours as you stepped out the car, muttering a small thank you.
As you took her hand in yours, Billie gently pulled you out of the car, her fingers lacing through yours as she began to lead you into the sorority house and through the front door.
The house was relatively quiet, with a few girls still milling around who came from parties early. Most of them were in their bedrooms getting ready for bed or already asleep.
Billie closed the door behind you both in the entrance hall, turning her gaze back down onto you as she looked down at your smaller form.
She led you through the entrance hall towards the stairs and began climbing them, glancing back every now and then to make sure you were still following her.
Billie walked down the hallway of the second floor, pausing in front of her bedroom door as she twisted the knob and pushed it open, letting you walk in first.
She closed the door behind her, locking it in the process, her hands shoving her hands into the pockets of her jeans. Her eyes darted around her room before landing back on you.
There was a comfortable silence as both of you stared at one another until your hands began to trail behind your body to unzip the corset top you wore. Keeping eye contact with Billie as your top fell to the ground leaving the top of your body nude. Kicking off your shoes to the side.
The warm light of her lamp shining on your body, your jean shorts still in as well as the necklaces the decorated your neck nicely.
Billie licked her lips as she watched you unzip the corset you were wearing, her eyes glued to your every move as you let it fall onto the floor. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of your bare skin under the warm light of her room.
Her gaze darkened as she ran her eyes all over your body, her eyes flicking up and down your figure, taking in your every detail.
"Take your shorts off." She said quietly, her eyes now looking at your jean shorts.
A smile played on your lips as you tilted your head at Billie, “Come take them off, will you?”
Studying the way her confident demeanor still held up as she let her eyes wander on your body.
As you tilted your head at her, a smirk played on your lips as you spoke, a challenge in your tone. Billie chuckled lowly in response, her eyes wandering over your figure again, her gaze darkened as she felt you staring at her.
Without any hesitation, she took a few steps towards you, her hands coming up to grab your hips. She pulled you closer to her, her hands sliding up your bare back until they reached the top of your shorts.
Her fingers began to tug on the fabric slowly, pulling them down off of your hips.
She stepped back as the shorts fell down your legs, leaving you only in your laced panties, your body still on display for her to see. Her eyes remained on your body as she took in every detail, her hands still hovering over your hips.
"Lay down on the bed."
Her voice was commanding, her eyes looking into yours as she issued the order, her tone leaving no room for disobedience.
You shook your head before gripping at Billie’s collar and pulling her in for a kiss. A kiss that was on your mind the whole night.
Her pink, plump lips finally landing on yours as you moaned in content at the soft feeling and taste of her lips. Wrapping your arms around her neck as your hands got lost in her hair as her cap fell off.
Billie exhaled a breath as she felt you pull her in, not expecting your lips to connect with hers. Her eyes widened in surprise but quickly closed as your hands found their way to her hair, her cap falling to the floor.
She melted against you, her arms wrapping around your waist, pulling you closer to her. Her hands gripping your sides as she felt you moan against her mouth, her tongue gliding past your parted lips to meet yours.
As Billie’s tongue danced with yours you smiled into the kiss, gripping at her hair even harder than before. Feeling Billie’s hands trail down your back and to your ass, picking you up in one swift movement.
A yelp along with a laugh left your lips, wrapping your legs around Billie’s waist as she carried you to her bed. Still having your lips on hers as she made the small walk.
Billie couldn’t help but smile against your mouth as she heard you laugh at the sudden change in position. She held you up against her, her hands gripping onto your thighs and holding you against her waist as she carried you over to the bed, her grip on you being firm but gentle.
She laid you down on the bed gently, crawling up on top of you, her body resting between your legs without any weight being applied to you. Her lips moved against yours hungrily, her lips tracing your jaw and down to your neck.
Your head tilted back to give Billie better access at your neck as a gentle moan spilled out your mouth. Pressing the back of Billie’s head further into your neck while your free hand gripped at the hem of her baggy shirt.
“Take it off…”
Billie nodded against your skin as she continued to kiss and nuzzle your neck. She could feel you pressing her head further down, causing her to moan softly against you, the sound muffled by your skin.
Her hands came up to the hem of her shirt as her mind began to register that you wanted it off. She gripped the soft fabric in her fingers and began to pull it up over her head, dropping it on the floor next to the bed.
Your hands roamed over her now bare skin, causing her to gasp softly. Her soft lips went back to the sensitive skin of your neck as she felt your palms roaming up her sides, tracing the subtle curves of her skin.
She could smell your signature scent in her bed, it was intoxicating mixed with your presence, making her want to just ravish you.
"Fuck…" She muttered against your neck, pressing more kisses to your skin as she felt you run your hands over her abs.
She could feel her body heating up as your hands continued to roam across her skin, a shiver running up her spine as your fingers brushed against her stomach.
"I'm gonna ruin you…"
She mumbled against your neck, her lips beginning to move down your neck and to your collarbone. Her teeth gently grazed over your skin, biting and sucking here and there, leaving small pink marks in their wake.
“Fuck me already Eilish…”
The words left your lips in a dirty and hot tone, a smile evident through your voice as well. Scraping your nails against Billie’s abs down to the button of her baggy pants.
Billie's breath hitched as your words sent a sharp shiver down her spine, her body tensing up from the way you spoke. She felt your nails run down her stomach towards her pants, the feeling causing her to gasp and bite on your collarbone in response.
"Jesus, baby…"
She mumbled against your skin, her hands holding your hips tightly, her fingers digging into the skin as you touched the button of her jeans.
A low moan escaped her lips as your fingers toyed with the button on her loose jeans, her brain already imagining what was to come.
Billie's body began pressing closer to yours, slowly rolling her hips against yours, causing an obvious friction between you both. As she continued to kiss and mark your neck, her breath became ragged, her hands holding you even tighter.
Your breathing became harsh as the room began to warm with all the tension that brewed between Billie and you. A pathetic moan leaving your lips as Billie sucked at your neck, grabbing her hand that was on your waist and interlacing your fingers.
Matching the rhythm of the way her hips rocked into yours to raise the pressure on your core.
As you interlocked your fingers with hers, Billie moaned softly against your skin, her tongue gliding softly across the spot she had just marked. She felt you match the movement of her rolling hips, the pressure coming from you making her moan even more as it sent a wave of heat straight to her core.
She released your neck from her mouth, her lips going to your ear, her tongue gently tracing the shell of it as her words came out breathlessly.
"You're driving me crazy…"
The sound of Billie’s words reminded you of the fact that her defenses were down and she was just as vulnerable as you making you smile softly.
Mustering the left over courage you had, you flipped the two of you over as you straddled Billie’s thighs, her breathing heavy and irregular as she looked up at you with adoration. Slowing starting to ride Billie’s thigh as you interlaced both your hands and laid them on your hips.
Your eyebrows furrowed in pleasure while moaning softly, sometimes letting Billie’s name slip past your lips.
Billie's breath caught in her throat as you flipped her over and straddled her thighs, her eyes widening as she looked up at you on top of her. She couldn’t help but stare at you, her own defenses down as her breathing became irregular, her hands gripping onto your hips as you sat on her lap.
She watched in awe as you begin to ride her thigh, her name leaving your lips in moans and gasps, the sight and sounds making her own breathing heavy.
"Baby…" She whispered, her eyes dark and filled with need.
“Oh f-fuck baby…”
Your voice was whiny and desperate as you continued to ride Billie’s thigh, letting her hands go as you left them on your hips and laid your own hands on her abdomen. The friction of your laced panties against Billie’s jeans was a stark contrast, the dampness of yourself leaking onto Billie’s jeans.
Tossing your hair to the side as you looked down at Billie and the two of you spoke nonverbally through eye contact.
Billie's breaths came out in gasps as she watched you move on her lap, her eyes never leaving your figure as she took in every detail of you. Her grip on your hips tightened as she felt the dampness of your panties on her jeans, the contrast between the materials making her breath hitch.
She met your gaze, eyes locking together as you both spoke silently. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her body growing hotter as the tension in the room grew.
"S-Slow…down…" She managed to breathe out, her voice wavering.
Your hips stuttered as the words left Billie’s mouth, contemplating whether you should listen to her or not, finally coming to a halt as a whine was ripped from your throat.
Your eyes fluttering closed as you tried to gain the self control to follow what Billie said, opening your eyes to give a soft, pleading look to Billie. Your breathing heavy as you tried to recompose yourself, nails scraping softly at Billie’s stomach.
Billie's body relaxed slightly as your hips stopped, her breath steadying a little as your grip on her stomach loosened. She held your gaze for a moment, her eyes flickering over your features before glancing down at your fingers tracing patterns on her stomach.
She took another deep breath before speaking.
"Lay down for me."
The words came out more as a soft command than a request, her eyes never breaking away from yours.
As you laid down on the bed, Billie moved so she was situated between your legs, her hands on the inside of your thighs, gently pushing them apart. As you settled onto the sheets, she took a moment to look over your body laid out before her, her eyes scanning every inch of you before looking back up to your face.
"You're so beautiful…"
She whispered, her hands gently rubbing your thighs, her fingers tracing the edge of the lace around the waistband of your panties.
Billie slowly pulled the fabric of your panties down your legs, her breathing becoming shallow as she took them off and sat up on her knees, tossing them to the floor.
"You're not gonna last long…"
She muttered, her eyes darkened as the sight of you completely nude and spread out before her. She looked back up at your face to check on you before moving down to position herself between your legs, crawling over you slowly so your faces were level.
A small chuckle left your lips as you rested your hands softly on her shoulders, “Moment of truth then?”
Billie couldn’t help but chuckle a little at your question, her nose brushing softly against yours, her warm breath fanning across your lips as she hovered above you.
"Yep, but I’m gonna make this good for you, baby." She murmured, her voice sultry, as her hands ran up the length of your arms to where your hands rested on her shoulders.
"Just tell me if you need me to stop, okay?"
Once you nodded in agreement, Billie returned your hands to her shoulders and began to move down your body slowly, pressing soft kisses to your collarbone and down your chest. She kissed everywhere her lips could reach, leaving a trail of soft, warm kisses in their wake, her destination becoming very clear.
Once she was eye level with your stomach, Billie took a moment to look up at you, her eyes meeting yours as she paused above your center. She didn’t move just yet, her eyes flickering between yours and your core as she spoke with a hushed voice.
“Is this alright?”
“Yes,” You spoke with a soft nod and gentle smile, taking her hands in yours and interlacing them.
A regulated, unspoken gesture between the two of you now…

Geto Suguru is usually a good wingman, but when it comes to you, it appears there's an exception.
Geto may not be the honoured one, but he's always had a honour of his own. He knows himself well. He can carry himself with dignity. He rarely gets angry or annoyed, because every negative emotion can be dealt with. Just like that, right?
Wrong.
Apparently, his honour, dignity and sense of self is being put under some sort of a trial that he definitely did not sign up for - or at least has no memory of doing so. Has he come to this party willingly? Yes. Has he been drinking tonight? Yup. Has Gojo told him that you'd be there? He might have, yeah. Well, wait, no. Scratch that. He knew you'd be there even without Satoru's help. Otherwise, well - he probably wouldn't come.
But there he is, a wingman to his best friend, who's - applause, everyone - drunk flirting with you like there's no tomorrow. With you of all people. Gojo's been making you laugh like crazy for the past ten minutes, and there's only one word on Suguru's mind.
Shit.
He should have known. He should have noticed. Satoru Gojo has been his best friend since high school, and they've had their own fair share of girls they've been attracted to - one way or another. Their type was somehow completely different, but apparently this time something went wrong. Maybe the moon, the stars and the whole fucking galaxy got rearranged tonight and that is the reason why Gojo cannot stay away from you - the girl Geto's been pining on for the past few weeks.
He could always choose someone else - there are some pretty girls here, no doubt about that. They even seem nice. But that's the problem. They are nice. You aren't nice.
You are a walking chaos, a catastrophe on a pair of very pretty legs, always loud and incredibly judgy, but smart and witty at the same time. Geto really likes talking to you - it's like you shine even brighter when you open your mouth, which is not something that he's used to. Well, the thought of you opening your mouth for not-so-conversational purposes also crossed his mind a few times, he couldn't deny it, but tried his best not to focus on that aspect.
That's how Suguru finds himself in the kitchen, looking for another beer to pop open and drown his frustrations in, when suddenly a certain someone gets inside as well. The two of you start talking and somehow, suddenly, you confess.
Just like that. Eyes wide open, cheeks blushing, you suddenly start saying things. Things he wouldn't expect you to say, by no means, especially after you seemed so happy talking to his best friend. And normally he'd think a little bit more before acting, but he is irritated, he's drunk and he's awfully in love, so this time he doesn't.
What he does though, is way better than the things he doesn't do. Especially after you take him right to your room. He's the good type. The best. Asking, waiting, taking care of every part of your body, ignoring the urging needs that you've inflicted on him with your bare existence. You're always first. Always taken care of.
He's way too good with his fingers. He's way too good with his tongue. He's way too good, thrusting into you, quiet moans leaving his lips when you shiver and clench around him. Maybe he's a shitty friend, but just tonight.
Just this once.

The bar buzzed with its usual nighttime energy, customers filling the cozy, dimly lit space with laughter, clinking glasses, and conversations. You were behind the bar skillfully pouring drinks, chatting with regulars, and catching up with them.
Somewhere in the corner, you knew Jongho was seated with his quiet, watchful presence making sure you were doing fine and no one is causing any trouble for you.
Ever since you’d taken this job, Jongho had made a habit of dropping by on his nights off. Though he covered it up saying it was to spend time with you, but you knew the real reason he was there to make sure you were safe. You’d reassured him countless times that you could handle an odd drunken comment or lingering glances of a few persuasive customers. But Jongho just didn’t trust your naive little self. Calling you naive was just to tease you, though your heart fluttered at the sincere concern that laced his words and actions.
Tonight was no different. He was sitting at his usual spot as he sipped from his glass, his gaze never straying far from you.
You tossed him a playful smile when you noticed him watching you, but he only nodded slightly, his eyes tracing the room as if mentally noting each customer’s behavior. Just then, your heart sank a little when you spotted a familiar face in the crowd. A customer who’d been bothering you for the past few weeks.
The man had been insistent, charming at first by dropping hints about wanting to get your number and asking if you’d like to “grab a drink” sometime after your shift. You’d tried to handle him politely, knowing that dealing with flirtatious customers was just part of the job. But he hadn’t taken the hint and had started showing up regularly, getting bolder each time. Tonight, he looked no different. He was wearing a flashy smile and exuding confidence as he made himself comfortable at the bar.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he greeted, leaning over the counter. “Thought I’d find you here. Ready to give me that number yet ?”
You tensed, quickly glancing around and noticing Jongho’s gaze zeroing in on the interaction. Taking a breath, you put on a professional smile. “No, sorry. I’m here to serve drinks, not give out my number.”
“Oh, come on,” he persisted as his voice dropped to what he probably thought was a seductive whisper but sounded like an ugly seal screeching, to you. “No need to be so cold. I’ve been a good customer, haven’t I ? And I always leave a tip.” He laughed, glancing around as if expecting others to join in. To be honest, older men were never you type and this man was definitely in his late 40s and with his screeching voice and pressing attitude easily made into your list of “people to avoid” and probably Jongho’s “To kill” list.
You clenched your teeth, determined to keep things calm. “Look, I’m just not interested, okay ? You can enjoy your drink, but I’m not giving out my number. Please respect that.”
The smile slipped from his face, replaced by an irritated scowl. He slammed his hand on the counter, drawing the attention of a few nearby customers. “Scamming customers now, are you ? You don’t give out your number and you treat me like garbage? I’ve spent good money here. Think your manager will want to know how you treat loyal customers?”
The little drama caught the attention of your manager, who came running over, eyes flicking between you and the accusor. “What’s going on here ?”
“She’s been scamming me!” the old bastard spat, his voice loud enough for others to hear. “I’ve been paying extra, leaving good tips, and this is how I’mbeing treated ? This is disgraceful!”
Your cheeks flushed with a mix of anger and embarrassment as other customers began to murmur, casting curious glances in your direction. You wanted to defend yourself, but before you could even gather your words, a firm yet calm voice cut through the tension.
“Is there a problem here ?”
Jongho’s presence was that of calm authority as he stepped between you and the man, his gaze cold and direct. The customer blinked at few times before straightening himself, seemingly taken aback by Jongho’s imposing figure. Your boyfriend wasn’t one to lose his temper easily, but when it came to protecting you, there was a fierceness in his eyes that spoke volumes. Fidgeting nervously with your hand, you stood still behind your boyfriend as your gaze zeroed in on the old dude.
The bastard matched Jongho’s height, suddenly losing his brashness. “Who are you ? Just another customer ? This is between me and her—”
“Actually,” Jongho interrupted, his tone steady and deadly calm, “it’s not between you and her. You were harassing her, and now you’re causing a scene in a place of business. I suggest you take your drink and leave.”
The man scoffed, returning to his earlier arrogant self. “She’s been treating customers poorly. I’m just letting management know how unprofessional she’s been.”
Jongho didn’t even blink. “And I’m letting you know you need to leave. Now.” his tone went an octave up as he emphasised on the Now.
A silence settled over the bar, and the old bastard’s bravado crumbled. He muttered something under his breath and backed away, Jongho’s gaze was locked in on him until he disappeared into the crowd. His eyes followed him until he was sure the man was gone. Turning to you, his expression softened for a moment before returning to that stern familiar look of seriously-concern or concerningly serious. Agh whatever the fuck it is.
“Are you okay ?” he asked quietly, but there was an edge beneath the gentle cornered question.
You nodded, still processing everything. “Yeah… Thank you. I just—I didn’t want to cause a scene.”
His gaze softened, but only a bit. “You wouldn’t have had to if you’d listened to me. How many times have I told you to call me over if someone makes you uncomfortable ?”
Your face flushed as you glanced down, embarrassed and a little defensive. “I thought I could handle it.”
Jongho shook his head, letting out a low, frustrated sigh while his hand gently carassed your hair. “You think I’m overprotective, don’t you ?”
You managed a small, guilty smile while you peaked up to met his eyes. “Maybe just a little.”
He chuckled, though the stern look in his eyes remained. “I’m taking you home. You’re done for tonight.”
“But my shift isn’t—”
“I’ll talk to your manager,” he said, already turning towards them. “They won’t mind. And we’ll discuss this when we get home.”
Your heart skipped a beat, the authority in his voice sending a shiver down your spine. You knew that “discuss” wasn’t just a casual term. He was determined to make a point, and you had a feeling it would involve some strong and firm words and maybe even a “lesson” to strengthen his words.
As you gathered your things and prepared to leave, you felt a strange mix of anticipation, excitement and nervousness. Jongho’s protectiveness might drive you a little crazy at times, but there was no denying that it also made you feel cherished.
And tonight, it seemed, he was intending on showing you just how much he cared.
The whole car ride was filled with back-and-forth arguments—him insisting you should leave this job so you wouldn’t have to deal with difficult clients and could stay safe, and you countering with “I can take care of myself” and that you didn’t always need to be looked after, which clearly dismissed him. Slowly, you could feel the air thickening as, intentionally or not, you countered every single point he tried to make about the job.
“I won’t always be around to fix your problems,” he said, sounding frustrated.
“And I don’t need you to. I can handle them myself,” you replied, crossing your arms.
“It’s not a safe place for you,” he insisted, gripping the wheel a little tighter.
“I’m perfectly capable of staying safe,” you shot back.
He let out a sigh. “Just quit that stupid job already.”
You met his gaze, stubborn as ever. “Nooooo!”
He rolled his eyes. “Stubborn as ever.”
You shrugged. “Takes one to know one.”
Jongho’s car stopped abbruptly outside your house, and he turned to you, his eyes sharp and unwavering. His clenched jaw made it clear he was not having it and was gonna combust any minute.
You tried giving him a reassuring smile as you turned towards him. “Jongho, quit worrying,” you teased gently. “I know I am your favorite problem to take care of but I am fully capable of handling myself.”
He met you in the eye as the corner of his lip went to a smirk, “A ‘favorite problem,’ huh ? You sure are babygirl.” His hands gently carassed you exposed thigh, rubbing the smooth skin as the mini dress you were wearing slid up a bit while you were busy arguing with him.
This is how it begins You thought as you gulped while you heart raced at the thought of whats about to come your way.
“Jongh-” You were soon cut off as his grip tightened around you thighs, a red tint creeping up your skin as a tiny yelp left your lips.
His voice was low, edged with warning .“You were calling me what again babygirl ?”
“S-Sir…Jongho sir. Sorry” You replied in a sudden polite tone, which was not yours a few minutes ago.
As you stammered your response, Jongho’s grip on your thigh tightened just a little more, his eyes glinting with something unreadable yet intense. Without another word, he shifted, one strong arm looping around your waist and tugging you toward him. The motion was quick, leaving you with barely a moment to react before you were guided into his lap, legs draping across him.
Your hands instinctively found his shoulders for balance as you tried to steady your breathing. His fingers pressed firmly against your lower back, pulling you even closer, and you could feel the warmth of his breath brushing your cheek.
Before you could process the straddling position you were in, his lips captured you with anger and hungry desire which you reciprocated with equal lust. You hands messily tangled with his hair while his large hands captured your ass, grounding you on his now hard length which very evidently poked against your thighs. His tongue licked you bottom lips, occassionally biting and earning a soft moan out of you. You lower half was busy grinding against his clothed hard legth while tugged his roots, urging him to keep going.
Ohh…if this is way he plan on teaching you a lesson, you would happily push his buttons, You thought as Jongho deepened the kiss, his tongue explored the deliciousness of your mouth while his his hips rolled beneath you, providing just the right amount you friction to satisfy the ache of your clothed dripping core.
The steamy kiss continued for a few more minutes as he guided you hips with more need, quickening your pace while drinking up all the pretty moans that left your lips. As you rubbed your core against him, you could feel the yourself just over the edge. You movement became needy as you broke the kiss and held him close while an intense release was ready to wash over you. Jongho smirked as he held you close while his hands mercilessly rocked your hips over his length.
“Jongho…ughhh…I am soo close” You whimpered as you nestled you head in the crook of his neck, you hot breath tingling his skin while he gently carassed your hair, “A little bit more baby” His voice soothed the release that was about the wash over you like a tidal wave when all of it abruptly stopped.
You were shocked and whimpered, deprived of an almost at the egde release when he meets your eyes, his hands off your hips, not grinding anymore as well, a devilish smirk danced on his lips.
“Jongho what the fu-” You whimpered as you hastily tried to pull his hands back to your hips. Only this time it did not work as he grabs your hands behind you while pulling you towards him, his hot breath fanned against your ears as he murmurs, “Told you honey, this is my lesson. I teach it how I want, Understood ?” He asked, a breathy low chuckle reached you. The reality hit you as recovered from the deprived release as you slightly nodded, meeting him in the eye.
“Words honey. Use your words” He demanded, tightening his grip around you hands, definite to leave finger marks.
“Yess Sir” you squeaked out.
“That’s like my little bunny” He replied, smiling but still having that authoritative look on his face which tells you he wasn’t done with you here. “Turn around for me, babygirl. Will you ?”
You obeyed, not wanting to be deprived of another release, especially as your body was now greedily craving one. You settled back on his lap, straddling him while your back rested against his chest. He worked on the zipper, and the dress smoothly slipped off your shoulders.
“You love it when I’m like this with you.” His mouth latched onto the skin of your neck as he covered it with kisses and bites, his large hands finding your breasts. He cupped them, kneading gently, while continuing his assault on your neck. His fingers pinched your nipples a little too hard, earning a yelp.
“Yes, Sir,” you managed, though words were getting harder to form as he grew more handsy, making you bite your bottom lip. Jolts of electricity coursed through your body as he alternated between pinching your nipples, circling them with his fingers, and then pinching again, a little harder. Your body trembled from the delicious pleasure his fingers alone could give, filling the car with soft, pretty moans.
Thankfully, no one was on the empty streets to witness the fun inside the BMW parked discreetly across the road. His tinted windows concealed you both from the world outside, while inside, your world was falling apart in his embrace.
Satisfied with playing with your breasts, his fingers slid down toward your aching core, leaving goosebumps wherever he touched. This wasn’t your first time, but it always felt like one—especially on nights like these when you riled him up a little too much. His fingers pinched your sensitive clit, sending a shudder through your body, before he rubbed at your wet opening. His other hand found your neck, fingers carefully wrapping around your throat as he whispered, “Looks like the lesson got a lot more intense, huh, babe?”
“Ahhh…Sir, I need… I need you right now. Please.” You begged, the release you were deprived of now paining you, and your aching core was proof. He kept the pace, gently rubbing your folds while his grip around your throat tightened, making your breath hitch. His finger slowly entered you, leaving you breathless all over again.
His thick fingers were a lot for your tiny opening, stretching you just enough to make you gasp, and a loud moan escaped your lips as he moved them deeper inside, while tears pricked in you eyes for how intense the whole experience was getting. His mouth was close to your ear, murmuring Look at you, falling apart so easily. Didn’t think you could be this desperate for me.” His voice was a mixture of mockery and heat, making you shiver as he continued, his grip on your throat holding you in place, exactly where he wanted, the pressure making each breath feel headier. Each movement of his fingers seemed to pull you further into an intense, heated haze that left you trembling.
Then, like icing on the cake, he added another thick finger, filling you completely as he increased his pace, each thrust measured and deliberate, each one pulling you closer to a tipping point while tears rolled off your cheeks at the intensity of the moment. Each of thrust precise and deliberate, leaving you even more breathless and whimpery with each passing second. “Next time, remember what happens when you test my patience.” His fingers moved in and out of you, building an overwhelming rhythm that left you breathless, the air thick with the sound of your soft, broken moans.
Your body couldn’t keep up with the overwhelming rhythm he’d set, a mess of broken moans filling the air as you struggled to hold back.Your teary eyes squeezed shut as your face turned toward him, nestling into the crook of his neck, your breaths growing deeper, more ragged. His grip held you steady as his pace intensified, pushing you closer and closer. The tension built to an exquisite peak, until your body finally gave in, trembling and unraveling completely around his fingers as you came undone in his embrace.
As the last tremors subsided, you felt his hold on you soften, his once-commanding grip now shifting into something more gentle, more comforting. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close against his chest as your breathing slowed, both of you basking in the calm that settled in the aftermath. His fingers gently traced along your back, a small but tender gesture that reminded you, after all this dominating play, that he was, after all, your sweet and hella protective boyfriend.
With a soft laugh, he pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. “So,” he murmured, a teasing glint in his eyes, “think you’ve learned your lesson?” His tone was lighthearted, affectionate— a contrast to his earlier intensity.
You couldn’t help but smile, feeling a warmth as you looked up at him. “Maybe,” you replied playfully, resting your head on his shoulder. “But I might need a few more reminders.”
He chuckled, his arms tightening around you as he let out a contented sigh. “Good thing,” he whispered, his voice full of warmth. “I’m not going anywhere, when I have so many problems to solve here.”
“Me being your favorite one” you chuckled and cringed at what you just said, while he laughed softly and held you. No one was moving or attempting to get inside the house.

Workshopped Romance - K. Bakugou
Synopsis: Working for a hero costume designer has its perks like; meeting heroes, playing with cool technologies, getting you're name out- Y/n didn't  really expect her own boss will try and hook her up with a customer.  Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou X Female Reader
‘You know, you shouldn’t be thanking me Mr Bakugou. I haven't done anything- my young mentor has been working your case.’
His costume sits in a presentable bag with her infamous two dots. His fingers are wrapped loosely around the shoelace handles as it sits on the last rung of his finger tips. While he’s shocked about the news it doesn’t faze his exterior outlook. His eyes dart past  Nimaru Sasori, towards you as obvious exhilarating cherry red eyes set bare themselves deep into your flesh.
Other fabrics pool in your arms, tediously heavy and beginning to drain what little muscles in your arms you had. You’re stopped, on a diagonal plain to him after hearing your mentor's words. Her hands dramatically waved to your presence.
‘You should really discuss further advancements to her, not me, she’s a super star in this world- she’ll definitely surpass me!’ Her voice is whimsical, matches the triumphant emotions Midnight places into the string of her sentences, yet causes your face to go red as you wave over.
You bow to him though he simply doesn’t acknowledge any power imbalance in the relationship between him and you. You were both the same age so respect was not necessary or demanded from either of you. She shares an excited look before running off from the chaos she started.
‘Mr Bakugou it's a pleas-’ ‘No need for formalities, I haven’t done anything to deserve it as of yet.’ he cuts you off, ‘Uhm- Bakugou then. It’s a real pleasure working for you. Your comfort and aid for your quirk are my highest priority, I hope you do find it to your liking based on the information you’ve given us.’
Your eyes stare to the left, unable to make contact as your cheeks sear with redness. He makes no attempt to stare at anything else other than you. Your fingers fidget with the raw edge of the fabric trying to calm yourself down from an obvious explosion.
‘Tell him what you’re thinking about his costume y/n! Tell him!’ Sasori interrupts,
She acts as a living icebreaker if there was ever one. While it’s comforting that she breaks in every now and again this situation arose because of her.  She sits on a stool in the background watching the two of you as if it's some day romance drama where everyone already knows the ending but are still shocked when it happens and you have to wait till next week to find out what happens. Always leaving you on a cliffhanger.
‘Uhm- well we are moving into the colder months now and since your quirk works on your sweat I recommend we move towards a costume with blast proof thermal wear, and perhaps a heat fabric that allows your arms to sweat but keeps the rest of your body at a manageable temperature.’ Your thoughts spewed out and by the time you had finished you released you had made the decision for him, your eyes snapped up to him flustered, ‘I’m sorry! It’s up to you it’s just a suggestion- If you don’t want it is fine it’s not like a big deal and I know it sounds like it will affect your overall quirk amount it probably might just decrease if by a few numbers and I just really don’t know the specifics of your quirk just the bare minimum and now i’m insulting you and I can’t stop tal-’
‘It’s fine…’ he grumbles, his hands placed into the pockets of his sweatpants, ‘If you think it’s important then do it.’ he sighs once more and his eyes drop to the floor in a nervous manner, ‘If it helps you, you can come to UA to watch me on Wednesday to better the knowledge you have on me-’ ‘IT’S A DATE!’
Interrupted by Sasori who cheers around you too, he just shakes it off and begins to head towards the door.
‘Thanks Bakugou, I’ll see you Wednesday.’
With that he leaves with a soft nod and your attention and pent up aggression turns to your mentor. She giggles to herself and before you can shout out to her in what thought she got the idea to say it was a date she speaks.
‘Aww the way he was staring at you… love at first sight at its finest’
Her hands clasp together, as she begins to sway reminiscing on moments she thought was love but it was rather a miscellaneous number of one night stands. Your shoulder hits as you walk past embarrassed and angered. Your head turns around arms sluggish as they’re filled with fabric. Perhaps she was true but you didn’t want to be delusional about something if it never was there in the first place.
‘Get back to work.’ you grumbled.

Tumblr media
Bakugou Katsuki never did anything half-assed. When he wanted something, he’d go after it with every ounce of his being. So, why the hell was this so hard? You’d already picked Shinsou, and no amount of his griping, complaining, or subtle hint-dropping changed that. But he wasn’t one to give up. Especially not when he was finally beginning to understand why it bothered him so much.
As for you? The last few weeks had been weird.
The days leading up to the midterm review are quieter than expected. After the tense encounter in the Support Lab, Bakugou hadn’t bothered you, and you hadn’t exactly sought him out either. The only time you caught glimpses of him was in the cafeteria, or when he walked past the lab to “conveniently” drop off another piece of busted equipment that seemed to break way too frequently.
Bakugou, who normally stormed into your workspace like he owned the place, demanding fixes for things that definitely didn’t need fixing, had been… different. Quieter, maybe? Or more like, restrained. You weren’t sure how to put it, but you noticed. He wasn’t snapping at you as much, barely retaliated when you gave him a hard time. It was unsettling.
Today was no different. Bakugou had dropped by with his latest set: the infamous broken gauntlets—and not his phone for the 12 billionth time. You found yourself caught off guard by how calm he was as you worked, barely saying anything while you tinkered. The silence was so unlike him.
And then, just as you were about to hand his gauntlets back, you noticed his gaze lingering, his lips pressed into a thin line, as if holding back something. Red alarms blared in your head—Bakugou never just waited like this without yelling. Was he sick?
“Bakugou?” you asked, eyebrow raised.
He just grunted, crossing his arms tightly, his jaw clenching. You could almost see the gears grinding in his head, like he was forcing himself to keep quiet. It was unnerving.
“Spit it out already,” you pressed, annoyed at the tension building in the air.
For a moment, you thought he might explode—literally. But instead, Bakugou gave a sharp, frustrated exhale through his nose and pulled something out of his bookbag. You blinked, caught off guard by the sight of a massive, crumpled piece of paper. No—wait. It wasn’t just paper. It was… a poster?
You read the words, your heart rate picking up as Bakugou shoved it toward you, his cheeks tinted pink with frustration. The words “GO TO HOMECOMING WITH ME OR DIE” were messily scrawled in bold, angry letters, practically taking up the entire space. In a bright red marker, too. But that wasn’t the worst (best??) part.
The background had a collage of explosion clip art and..was that a small drawing of you and him with..SMILY FACES? It looked like a five-year-old had designed it.
“Bakugou… what the hell is this?” you muttered, completely baffled.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and scowled, eyes darting away. “Tch. It's what it looks like, dumbass.”
For a second, you could only stare at the poster, completely dumbfounded. You weren’t sure if you wanted to laugh or run for the hills. But the longer you stared, the harder it became to hold back a smile. This was… his way of asking you out?
Before you could form a response, Bakugou pulled out a small box of chocolates from inside his bookbag again, almost shoving it into your hands. The wrapper was pristine, the brand one you had mentioned liking once—one time—and he remembered. He wasn’t even looking at you now, staring at the wall like it might swallow him whole.
“So? You goin’ or not?” he asked, voice gruff. He sounded like he’d rather fight a villain than stand there waiting for your answer.
You blinked down at the chocolates, completely caught off guard by how personal the gesture felt. The aggressive, explosion-laden poster was definitely Bakugou, but this? He remembered the brand you liked. He remembered things about you. Wow.
“Bakugou… I…” You trailed off, your heart suddenly feeling a little too full. How long had he been paying attention to you like this?
He cut you off with a huff, clearly growing impatient. “Look, if you’re just gonna say no, then—”
“No,” you interrupted, shaking your head with a small smile. “No, I wasn’t gonna say no. Yeah, I'll go with you.”
Bakugou froze, staring at you like you’d just short-circuited his brain. His brow furrowed in confusion. “Wait, what?”
You took a deep breath, trying not to laugh at how utterly Bakugou this whole situation was. “I said yes, Bakugou. I’ll go to homecoming with you.”
For a moment, you swore he forgot how to breathe. His eyes widened, and for once, the ever-brash Bakugou Katsuki looked completely out of his element.
“Yeah, well, of course you are,” he muttered, crossing his arms and looking away, but the faintest smirk tugged at his lips. “You’d be a damn idiot not to.”
The two of you stood there in silence for a moment, the tension finally breaking, leaving a strange warmth in its place. You hadn’t expected Bakugou’s confession to be so… awkward, but somehow, it worked. It was him—loud, explosive, but with surprising care hidden underneath. He simply nodded and turned to leave, but not before aggressively forcing you to take his number so he'd tell you more about when he'd pick you up.
As you packed up your tools for the day, something in your chest fluttered at the thought of going to homecoming with him, of seeing him in a completely different light.
Tumblr media
Homecoming day. To say you were underwhelmed would be an understatement. The whole thing had disaster written all over it. In fact..
Homecoming night didn’t go as planned.
First, Bakugou showed up at your door 20 minutes late, looking like he had just gotten into a fight with a swarm of angry bees. His hair was more tousled than usual, and there was a scowl plastered on his face as if the idea of going to Homecoming was physically painful for him. He blamed his 'Old Hag' (which you learn is how he addresses his Mother. Yikes.) for making him try on 9 billion different suits and, yeah he was making excuses, but you decided to let him pass for this one time.
Second, he refused to say anything the entire walk to the venue, except for the occasional grunt when you tried to make small talk. It was like pulling teeth, trying to get him to open up, but you figured that was just Bakugou being Bakugou.
And third… well, let’s just say the actual event was a disaster.
He radiated 'Debbie downer' energy, basically insulted everyone, and said they all looked 'ass', and well..just about everything wasn't up to his standards. Did he expect to be attending a grand ball? With him, you genuinely would never know.
Oh, and the highlight of his complaints? How the music sucked. Every song that played was something Bakugou clearly hated, and he made sure you knew it.
“This crap again? Can’t they play somethin’ decent?”
"Ugh, another slow song? Gimme a break."
"Whoever picked this shit deserves to get punched in the face."
You were trying to hold back your laughter. “It's homecoming, not your personal concert.”
And of course, there was the awkwardness of people constantly staring. Bakugou had his own fan club, and seeing him with you sparked more than a few curious glances. But Bakugou didn’t care.
At one point, though, it got to be too much. You both ended up outside, sitting on the steps in the cool night air, away from the noise and the stares. You kicked off your uncomfortable heels, stretching your feet with a groan.
“Well, this sucks,” you muttered, looking over at him. “You’re right. Homecoming’s kind of lame.”
Bakugou huffed, leaning back on his elbows, his eyes focused on the night sky. “Told you. These things are pointless.”
"So then, why'd you ask me?" Bakugou clicked his tongue, turning his head slightly like he couldn’t believe you were asking something so obvious. “Who the hell else would I take?” He grumbled, crossing his arms. “Besides… you fix my stuff. Least I can do is take you out, right?”
You laughed softly, and for a moment, everything felt easy. Comfortable, even. Sitting there next to Bakugou, the frustration and awkwardness of the night began to melt away. He didn’t say anything, but the tension between you had shifted. It wasn’t bad. It was just…different.
Suddenly, Bakugou spoke, his voice quieter than usual. “Why didn’t you ask me to be your model?”
The question caught you off guard. You blinked, turning to face him. “Huh?”
“For your midterm project,” he continued, not looking at you. “You picked that Shinsou guy. Why not me?”
You furrowed your brows, unsure why it mattered so much. “I didn’t think you’d want to. You’re…you know, busy.”
“Bullshit.”
Your eyes widened at the bluntness. Bakugou turned his head, finally meeting your gaze, his red eyes sharp. “I would’ve done it. You didn’t even ask.”
"But I saw you turning everyone down."
"That's 'cause I don't like everyone."
You stared at him, speechless. For someone who usually had no problem speaking his mind, this was… different. Vulnerable, almost. Like he was actually bothered by the fact that you hadn’t chosen him. Also, wait. Does that mean he might like you? [yes, you IDIOT.]
“I didn’t know you’d care,” you admitted, your voice softer now.
Bakugou’s eyes flickered, and for the first time that night, his usual scowl softened just a little. “Of course I care, dumbass. I asked you and you just said 'Cool' and that fucking..sucked.”
There was a pause. Neither of you moved, the weight of his words hanging between you. And then, before you could stop yourself, you smiled.
“You coulda just asked like a normal person,” you teased lightly, nudging him with your elbow. "You really are the worst."
He scoffed, the tension breaking. “Yeah, well, you’re not much better.”
Another beat of silence. But this time, it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was something else. Something lighter.
“You wanna get out of here?” Bakugou asked suddenly, pushing himself to his feet.
You raised an eyebrow. “What, and miss the rest of this magical evening?”
“Shut up,” he grumbled, offering you his hand to help you up. “Let’s go.”
You took his hand, warmth spreading through you as his grip tightened around yours. Maybe this wasn’t the perfect night, but for some reason, with Bakugou by your side, it didn’t feel like a disaster anymore. It felt like…something else. Something better.
As you walked away from the noise of the dance, his hand still holding yours, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself.
Maybe this wasn’t such a bad night after all.

For Death Or Glory : Epilogue
Tumblr media
Jake Kiszka x Charlotte (Fem OC)
Warnings: 18+ Smut (you know the drill) Fluff, Romantic Themes, Drinking / Alcohol (once more- it’s a bar) Pining, Harmless Bullying, Swearing, Wholesome Family Fun (which is crazy to say considering what’s coming next)
Smut Warnings: Kissing, Oral Sex, Hands going places, Penetrative Sex | they’re both switches - do with that what you will
Word Count: 10.6k
Summary: It’s the bar’s second anniversary and a certain couple’s first.
Author's Note: I bet you thought we were done here 😉 You already know that I couldn’t let this end that easily! I knew from the start that I would have an epilogue for you, but as I was working on it, I had a thought— luckily for you.. I wrote it in. If you notice the word count, this is astronomically long compared to the rest of the story; I decided to add basically a second chapter once I had the idea. (If you need to pause, there’s a definitive break that you could absolutely stop at! I’ll add a couple ***’s so you know when)
Consider the second half like a bonus chapter if you will 🥰
Anyway this is getting long, I love this story, these two, and you guys for loving them with me. I hope you giggle and kick your feet over this monster of a chapter 🖤 this is definitely not the last you’ll be seeing of these two, but for now, let’s just enjoy this together 🥹

Forever - Noah Kahan "I won’t be alone for the rest of my life, I’ll build a boat for when the river gets high."
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
One year later..
“That’s okay; just drive safe, honey.”
I tucked my phone back into my pocket, grabbed a few stray glasses, and rounded the corner behind the bar. Thankful that the bar isn’t busy at the moment, even though I know we’re mere seconds away from the chaos that’ll ensue.
Deciding to keep the tradition, the bar is only open until eleven tonight because of the holiday. All of our regulars will still make it a point to stop by tonight since it’s the floating anniversary of the official opening. I know there’s an actual date that we opened, but letting it change with the holiday every year is more fun to me.
It’s nice getting to spend a few hours just working with Josh while everyone else is wrapping up work or getting ready for tomorrow. It is funnier that they’ll all show up tonight, even though we’re about to spend the next two days together.
“What happened?” Josh asks, leaning against the bar.
I look over at him as I’m setting all the glasses into the dirty bin, telling him, “Oh, she’s fine,” and letting out a small laugh. “She hit traffic, but she’s almost here– just feels bad she’s ‘late.’ You know how Char is.”
He chuckles to himself, “Oh, that silly girl must have forgotten that everybody and their cousin is driving today.”
“I told her that I didn’t care when she got here anyway,” I tell him, giggling at the thought of her stressing over the time. “We have the whole weekend together; I’m not going to complain that she’s twenty minutes behind.”
Josh just smiles back at me for a second before breathing out, “It’s sweet that she still wants to soak up all the time she can with you, though.”
“I hit the jackpot with her for sure,” I let out quietly, checking the fridges to make sure everything was good. “Are you good for a minute? I just need to answer a few emails real quick.”
He shoos me away to my office, where I’ve sat to do a few admin things before it gets busy or Charlotte shows up. I mindlessly read through a few emails that can wait until after the holiday weekend but then start writing back to the more important ones. I know that I could realistically do these after she’s here but the last thing I ever want to do is be this level of distracted from her. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past year, it’s that I love my job, but I love her more.
I fell in love with Charlotte within three weeks, and she’s only proven to me that it was the greatest thing I could have let myself do. Despite the fact that we don’t live very close to each other, the days we aren’t physically together fly by. It still lets her have some independence, even though I would have asked her to move in the day we started dating. I’m so used to the chaos that I don’t think she could ever bother me.
Not that I have the most experience with relationships, but I would say that she is probably the most incredible girlfriend that exists. I still feel like I’m dreaming most days; the only downside is when she’s upset, and I can’t get to her fast enough. Not exactly proud of the few times that I’ve almost left the bar because she sounded a little too sad saying she missed me on the phone.
“Hi baby,” Char’s voice rings through my office.
“There she is,” slips out as I whip my head over to her. Quickly standing up, reaching for her hands as I got closer, I said, “I missed you.”
“I swear nobody knows how to drive today,” she tells me in between kisses. “Literally, everybody just kept slowing down even though nothing was happening!”
Chuckling at her, it’s precious when she’s worked up like this. Kissing her forehead gently before telling her, “Breathe honey, it’s over. You made it.”
“I know– you’re right,” She breathes out before quietly asking, “You’re sure your parents don’t mind me being here for Thanksgiving?”
“I think my mom would explode if you didn’t,” I told her. “Plus, I wouldn’t want you to spend the weekend alone.”
“I still don’t know what possessed my parents to plan a vacation during the holidays, but” she rolls her eyes with a laugh but squeezes my hands when she tells me, “I’m much happier to spend them with you.”
Kissing her a few more times before saying, “I’m just excited to have you here all weekend.”
Pulling her out into the bar, sitting in the booth that the rest of the family will stake claim over later. She sat across from me, telling me about her day since we were both fairly busy and hadn’t gotten to talk much throughout the day.
“Oh!” She pipes up. “I found this, and I thought you might enjoy it.” She hands me a folder with random paperwork, and I just look at her with my eyebrow raised. She giggles quietly, “Look at the corners, babe.”
I start reading all her little notes. This is what she was doing the whole time. Every page with the margins filled with little intrusive thoughts she must have been having; ‘hands, hands, hands,’ ‘pretty mouth,’ ‘he’s so cute I could cry.’ Random hearts surrounded some of them, with my name written out in cursive every few pages, like a girl in elementary school.
Thinking of all the times I would glance over at her, she would just be scribbling things down with a little smirk on her face. Or the way she would tuck pages away when she saw me coming over.
My heart swelled, seeing that she had been secretly feeling the same way. It always felt like there was something more than ‘friends with benefits,’ but I was so afraid to get my hopes up. I chuckle to myself,  breathing out, “I love you so much.”
Met with silence– we haven’t actually said that to each other yet. Not that I didn’t want to, but we both just nervously danced around it. My eyes darted up to her, realizing what I said.
Her eyes are wide, “.. Jake.” I close the folder and set it in front of us. Shit. You’ve made it a whole year without letting it slip; that’s impressive enough, right?
“Char,” I start; it probably is about time I finally told her. “It sounds insane, but I’ve basically loved you since the day you walked in.”
She slowly blinked at me, “What do you mean? How?”
It truly feels like I have to just come clean with it at this point, “I couldn’t stop thinking about you after you left that day; something about you just stuck with me.”
“I felt like I ruined your whole day. You definitely seemed like you were panicking?”
“Oh, I was,” I laugh. “But I thought about you every day until you came back.”
“But—” she hesitates, looking down at the table for a second. “I cried in front of you, literally the second time we actually saw each other.”
I nod at her, “Oh, I know.”
“And I lied to you..”
“Hun,” I start, grabbing her hand. “I would do it all over again a million times if it meant I got you at the end of it.”
She just stares at me, and I watch her eyes as tears creep in. She looks up, trying to fight the inevitable.
I reach up, knocking the little tears off her cheeks like always, before telling her, “You don’t have to say it back. Don’t feel like you have to. I’ll gladly wait until–”
She cuts me off with a quiet, “I love you.”
The sound of it practically knocks the wind out of me; I knew from the beginning that she would probably take a while to say it in general or even just say it back because she was so hesitant about her feelings. I never wanted to pressure her into it, even though a year ago, with us standing out in the snow, I knew I was in love with her.
I slide out of my seat, take two steps to be next to her, squat down, and grab both of her hands.
“Can I say something to you? I don’t expect anything from you after,” I ask, looking up at her.
“Of course.”
I look at her for a split second before I finally let it out, “I’m so, so in love with you, Charlotte. I’ve been waiting for you to feel comfortable saying it because I never want to overwhelm you or push you away. I can’t imagine life without you at this point; you mean everything to me, honey.”
Her eyes are so soft, and her lip quivers a little as she looks back at me. She whispers, “You’re gonna make me cry.” She leans down to me, leaving a few gentle kisses on my lips.
“And you are far more than I could have ever dreamt of,” She says with a little sniff as she fights back the tears. “I’ve never known a love like yours. Some days I still don’t believe you’re real and that I’m lucky enough that you keep me around even when I’m such a pain in your ass.”
“You’re my favorite pain in the ass, though,” I tell her, kissing her knuckles gently. My heart is pounding as she’s telling me the sweetest things; it feels unbelievable that she feels the same way.
Her little giggle blesses my ears before she keeps going, her voice still breaking as she tells me, “I hate that you had to be let down so many times, but I’m so glad that every girl fumbled you, so now, I get you to myself.”
“I’ll be yours for as long as you’ll keep me,” I whisper to her, watching as her chin quivers. She let out a small ‘oh’ as her hand flew up to cover her mouth. Rubbing her legs for a second until she pulls me into a hug.
I kiss the side of her head before mumbling, “Happy anniversary, hun.”  Leaning back and carefully wiping the tears from under her eyes, trying not to mess up her makeup. Quietly cooing, “Oh, my beautiful girl.”
“Baby, shhhh,” she laughs, looking up to try and avoid more tears.
I chuckle to myself, letting out, “Oh, I’m sorry. I meant, my absolute knockout—“
Her laugh cuts me off, which I would let happen any day—anything to see her smile.
I feel a tap on my back, bringing me back to real life. I turned, and honestly, I should have known.
“Hi, sweetheart,” my mom’s voice rings through the bar. Josh got it from somewhere. Her arms wrapped me in a hug, rocking me back and forth.
“I’m excited to see you too,” I laugh. She pulls back, brushing the hair out of my face like she always does, just staring at me for a second.
Her eyes soften as we look at each other; she looks like she wants to say something but holds it back. That’s weird. Gently moving me to the side, her excited voice is back, “Don’t think I didn’t see you!” Charlotte quickly stands up, also getting pulled into a hug.
“Mmmm, my other sweetheart,” she says, Char’s giggling as she gets the same treatment from my mom. “I missed you two.”
My parents immediately loved her when they met. Whether it was because they were so excited that I finally found someone or because Char is an incredible girl, who knows? Mom was especially over the moon about her when she discovered that they both enjoy baking and reading.
I was nervous at the idea of them meeting her, especially when we had barely even figured out what we were doing. But, the moment we walked into the house where they were staying, it went away. We took turns grabbing each other's hands for comfort because it was all still so fresh. It probably seems wild to introduce someone to your parents two days into the relationship, but I’ve never been so sure about someone.
My dad’s arm slides around my shoulders, pulling me into him for a second.
“Hey bud,” his voice is way calmer. “I see you’ve lost them.” He chuckles. I glance over as the two of them are fully in conversation, to the point that my mom has stolen my seat.
“Looks that way, huh?” I laugh, hugging him back. Nodding towards the bar, I ask, “Want a drink?”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
My dad kept us entertained for a bit as he sipped his drink, telling us about the trip to get here. They seem to have the worst luck with flying. I take the chance to slip out from behind the bar, and I sneak off into my office, pulling out my phone, but I quickly get distracted when I hear my mom’s voice.
“How are you doing sweets?”
I look over at her; she’s leaning against the door frame, her eyebrows raised. I tell her, “Curious about what you didn’t say to me earlier if we’re being honest.”
“You saw that, huh?” She scrunches her nose at me. I move closer to her so she won’t have to be loud. Her hand taps my chest a couple of times, letting out, “I forget how observant you are.”
“Mhm,” I hum back. “So, spill. What is it?”
She lets out a little sigh, “I’m not gonna be able to get through this.” Her eyes welled up almost instantly, “Being in love looks good on you, Sweetheart.”
“Oh?”
She grabs one of my hands and tells me, “I can just see how happy you are when you’re with her.” A tear sneaks out as she looks at me. “I’m just so glad you found someone who loves you the way you deserve.”
Squeezing my hand a few times, “You’ve always been the sweetest of the three of you.” She pauses to look up, trying to stop the tears. “I knew how badly you just wanted to find someone.”
“Mom,” I whisper, wiping her face off gently.
“I'm sorry—I'm just so proud of you. Between the bar and taking care of her, I just feel so lucky to watch the young man that you’ve become.”
My arms wrap around her, rubbing her back a little before mumbling, “Love you.”
“Love you, too.” She whispers before asking, “Why are you hiding in here?”
I lean back, smiling as I tell her, “Wanted to see if something got delivered.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
As I’m helping run some drinks to people for Josh, I hear Against The Wind by Bob Seger playing throughout the bar. Dropping the fresh drinks off to the table, I turn around to see one of Chuck’s friends about to sit at the bar with an empty seat next to him. He must be waiting for him.
He’s an older gentleman; he definitely looks like he would have been a sailor of sorts. The idea hits me— where is my girlfriend? I think to myself, chuckling at what’s going to happen.
“Char- honey,” I yell to her as I walk over to the table; she’s sitting with Quinn, Willa, and Sam- the usual, but Mom is with them tonight.
Her eyes light up as I get closer, looking up at me, oh god,  I’m such an ass. She lets out a quiet “Hi.”
Sliding into the booth next to her, my arm pulling her close to me. I point to the man, whispering to her, “Remember how I told you about the Old Port Pirate?”
“Shut up,” her hand flew up to cover her mouth. “Babe, you actually weren’t lying?”
I just shake my head, “Do you hear what’s playing right now?”
Looking at me with wide eyes, her jaw drops when she realizes, “Oh my god, it’s Bob.”
She’s so cute, wow. I quietly laugh before letting out, “And you didn’t believe me.” Shaking my head subtly, she will probably kill me if she finds out that he isn’t actually the pirate.
She leans close, kissing my cheek; the feeling of her lips on me still makes my heart skip. Her face lingers close to mine for a second, and she quietly says, “I’m sorry, baby. I won’t doubt you anymore.”
She can never find out.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
Glancing around the table, my mom has Sam and Willa entirely focused on whatever she’s telling them about, and Quinn has disappeared to the bar to talk to Josh. I steal a sip of Char’s drink, realizing it’s practically just water at this point, but before I get up, I have to tease her a little bit. If she thought I didn’t catch some of the little things she wrote down, she is sorely mistaken.
“So, I did see in your little notes that you think my ass is,” I pause to clear my throat dramatically, “Cute enough to take a bite out of?”
“The heart wants what it wants,” she breathes out, a soft smile forming. Her hand reached up to fix a piece of my hair that was flopped to the wrong side.
I lean in closer to her, whispering, “If you wanted to eat my ass, honey— all you had to do was ask.”
She barks out a laugh, whisper-yelling, “JACOB, WE’RE IN PUBLIC.” Her eyes darted over towards my mom and back to me.
“All I'm saying is communication is important in a relationship, and you already know I won’t say no to you,” I tell her, shooting her a wink as I stand up from the booth. “I’ll get you a fresh drink.”
“Wait—“ Her hand catches mine before I can grab her glass, tugging me to her. She gently kisses me, holding my jaw and wiping my lip off after. If she only knew, I literally couldn’t be bothered if she left any sort of lipstick, gloss, whatever on me—but it’s adorable that she does it, so I’ll never tell her. She quietly lets out, “I love you, baby.”
“Mmm, I don’t think I'll ever get tired of hearing that,” I mumble against her lips, kissing her once more before telling her, “I love you.”
I wander behind the bar to grab her some water; she’s been alternating all night, so she “doesn’t feel like dying” tomorrow. Before I can bring it back to her, Mel grabs it from me.
“I’m basically done for the night; I can deliver it for you,” she laughs out.
Glancing over at the time, it is nearly closing time already. I look back over at her, “You can be free. I’ll let Danny go too if you guys want to get home.”
“You’re the best,” she shoots me a little smile, dropping off Char’s water and immediately sliding into the booth with everyone.
I start picking up a little after Josh, which is fine because he has been hustling around for a bit now. But I feel his presence behind me as I’m wiping down some glasses to put back.
“Meant to tell you– I grabbed our mail earlier..” Josh mumbles to me. Quietly, he asks, “Did you buy a ring?”
“Mhm,” I hum back, turning to him.
He glances over at Char before asking, “Is it..?”
I just nod, watching his eyes light up.
Immediately, he tears up, letting out a quiet, “Oh my god—“
“Don’t cry,” I giggle. “I don’t know when it’ll happen; I just wanted to be ready. “
His hands landed on my arms, whispering, “I’m so happy for you.”
“Thank you,” I whisper back.
He just stares at me for a second, “She really is a good one.”
I look over at her as she hugs our Mom for probably the hundredth time today. Sitting with all our closest friends and family like she’s been here forever. They really took her in so quickly, which, given the situation when we met, was the most incredible thing they could have done. My eyes shift back to Josh, smiling as I tell him, “I think I’ll keep her around.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
After saying our goodnights to the entire family practically, Char sat in her typical spot at the bar. Even after a year, nothing has changed with how we function. Whenever she comes down here for the weekends, she’ll just sit at the end of the bar if I have to close and pester me the entire time. And I would never ask for anything else.
“Will you make my drink?” She asks, batting her eyelashes at me. Like, I would say no.
“Well,” I glanced over at her, cocking an eyebrow. “You’re in luck; I’m the only option.”
Quickly mixing everything together for her, I bring it over. Carefully setting it in front of her, but not without leaning over the bar to give her a quick kiss.
“The service here is exceptional,” she tells me, laced with a slight laugh.
My eyebrows raise as I tell her, “You’re the only one getting that level of customer service.”
“I’ve seen the way you talk to Eleanor,” she taunts.
My eyes roll at her comment; I point at her as I whisper-yell, “DON'T START WITH ME.” Unable to keep the smirk hidden away.
“I’m not jealous! She was here first,” she says, holding her hands up while giggling away.
“You shouldn’t be jealous.”
“Oh, I’m not at all,” she tells me matter-of-factly. Casually sipping her drink as she looked me up and down.
“Good,” I laugh out, folding my arms across my chest as I watch her. “What’s with that look?”
She waves her hand, making me move closer to her. She so casually whispers, “Just— I love that I’m watching you mix drinks and be silly, but you'll also make it hard to walk tomorrow.”
My head drops, taking a deep breath. This girl's favorite hobby is making me sweat, I swear. “Jesus Christ,” I laugh out. Pulling my wrist up to check my watch, “What time do we close?”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
“Wait right here,” I tell her, quickly walking into my room to grab the gift I got her. Pulling the little bag from my closet and the flowers that I had sitting in water on my nightstand, I make my way back to her, mumbling, “These are for you.”
She pouts her lip, looking at me, “Jacob, you’re so sweet.”
Kissing me before she looks in the bag, a little smile lacing her lips as she realizes. Pulling out the book she’s been eyeing every time we go to the store, with a few little things that I found at her favorite thrift store down here.
“You’re too much,” she lets out quietly, setting everything back in the bag. “Thank you.”
I lean against the counter, and I look at her, quietly letting out, “Josh went to Quinn’s for the night so we could have the apartment to ourselves.”
“Well,” She says, her hands sliding up my chest as she leans into me. “Isn’t that just sweet of him?”
I hum back, letting my arms drape around her hips, “Mhmm.”
“Get to show my baby how much I love him,” she breathes out. Her lips pressed into my throat quickly.
I looked up for a second before asking her, “What has gotten into you?”
“Hopefully, you in a minute,” the sultry tone of her voice made my knees weak.
“Holy shit, hun,” I breathe out. “A bit needy, are we?”
She nods, quickly kissing my jaw before letting out,  “I’m sorry, you’re just sooo—” She leans back, the look in her eyes making my heart race.
“Is that right?” I pop my eyebrow at her, watching the goosebumps flood her skin.
“Mhm,” she hums back. Pulling her lip in with her teeth gently before telling me, “Hot enough that I’d eat your ass or whatever.”
My head falls back as I laugh, not expecting her to bring that up. Managing to tell her, “I love you so much.”
“Mmmm, we really should have started saying that sooner,” she pauses to laugh for a second. “Hearing you say that makes you even hotter.”
My hands slide to the backs of her thighs, picking her up and setting her on the counter. Moving in between her legs, but her skirt made it difficult to get close.
“What about when I do this?” I ask quietly, pushing her skirt up so it sits around her hips. Her jaw drops slightly as she looks at me. I can see the way her breathing is already a little heavy. I lean down, kissing her legs, covered with her tights. Gently, I work my way up her thigh until I notice that I can see right through them as I get closer to her hips. I push her legs a little further apart– did she not..?
I can’t stop myself from smiling against her. My hands slide up her legs, lightly letting my fingers rub over her clit through her tights as I look up at her.
“You tryin’ to kill me?” I breathe out. “No panties?”
I watch the pink come up in her cheeks as she bites her lip.
“Lay back for me,” I whisper between kisses against her hip.
As she leans back on the counter, I hold her hips, pulling her to the edge, grabbing at the waistband of her tights, pulling them down her legs quickly. I kiss the inside of her ankle slowly, leaving wet kisses up her thighs until I get too close. Resting my lips against her pubic bone, I slowly smile against her skin, knowing it’ll drive her crazy.
“Jake, please,” she whines. Didn’t take long at all.
I ask quietly, “What do you want?”
Pressing my lips against her clit gently and then just hovering, letting my breath hit her.
“Mmm,” she hums out.
“Oh, you want this?” I taunt her, flattening my tongue against her clit. Lapping at it a few times, pulling a loud moan out of her. My hands still hold her hips as my tongue is practically spelling her name, listening to the sweet sounds that pour out of her. I wrap my lips around her clit for a second, lightly sucking in.
“Baby, oh my god,” she moans out.
I hum into her, sliding my hand up to her chin, glancing up at her, tapping her lip a few times until she opens her mouth. I slide my middle and ring finger in, and she wraps her lips around them. Swirling her tongue around them as she moans from the way my mouth is moving.
One of her hands knitted themselves into my hair, and the other held my arm. I carefully pull my hand back from her when she lets out a louder moan, slipping them right into her. ‘Yes’ and ‘Fuck’ litter the air as I push them into her a few times.
She props herself up, and I stand, leaning in to kiss her and start to pump my fingers faster inside her. She’s holding the back of my neck like it’s her lifeline. Adjusting my arm so my palm is flat against her clit, I curl my fingers up into that spot.
“Jake, oh my god,” She moans into my mouth
I look at her for a second before whispering, “Soak my fingers, honey.”
Immediately feel her hands grip my shirt, and the moans start falling out of her mouth. I can hear how wet she is and the way she’s starting to tense up on me. Leaning down, dragging my tongue along her, feeling her heartbeat. Looking back up at her as she breathes heavily, god, she is beautiful.
“Jake.. baby.. oh.. oh my god, baby..” she mumbles under her breath as she gets closer. Her voice rises as she lets out a loud “Jacob.” That’s my favorite sound.
Standing back up, her eyes flutter shut as she relaxes against me.  Her face is lying on my shoulder.
“Come back to me, honey,” I whisper in her ear before kissing her cheek.
She sits back as I pull my hand from her, “I wanna see something,” she whispers, grabbing my hand that was just inside her. Tugging it up, muttering a quiet  “Open.”
Sliding my fingers into my own mouth, swirling my tongue around them, tasting her on me. I can feel my cock twitch. I don’t know what she’s doing to me, but it’s working. Her jaw dropped at the sight, and I let out a little groan just to really rile her up.
“God, you’re so sexy, babe.”
I can feel my face warm, giggling at her compliment. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the way she treats me.
“Come on,” I tell her, holding my hands out to help her down. As soon as her feet hit the floor, she swung me around.
“Not so quick, handsome,” She giggles, pushing me gently against the counter. She unbuttons my pants quickly and tugs them down just enough. Her hand pulled my cock from my boxers and slid it into her mouth in one smooth motion.
My hands gently held her head as she moved further down the length of it. Fighting every urge to let my hips thrust into her. The moment her nose barely grazed my stomach, my head fell back. How is she mine? When it starts to feel a little too good, I lightly tap her shoulders. Holding my hands out to help her up, I make her trade spots with me again, her back against my chest as I tuck my face into her.
“Can you bend over for me?” I whisper into her ear.  “Need to feel you.”
She eagerly leans onto the counter; I drop down, licking a wide stripe up the center of her one more time, with my hands hooking around her hips so I can grab her ass. Leaving a little kiss against her before standing back up.
I slip into her, letting out a little groan as I do. Even after a year, it still blows my mind how good she feels. Slowly rocking my hips into her, my grip on her hips tightening with every thrust. My hand slipped down, grabbing at her and pulling her back to me quickly.
She moans quietly, “Baby, you feel so good.”
My heart pounds at the sound. I start moving faster, fucking her harder. Listening to all her little sounds as I do. Without thought, my hand moves from her hip, coming down against her asscheek with a loud crack. The moan that came out of her practically made my mouth water but also made my face heat up, and grinned as I leaned down, kissing between her shoulder blades.
“You like that?” I mumble against her.
Letting out a small “Yes.”
“Mmm,” I hum out. “My sweet girl.” Slowing my hips down, tapping her sides gently.
I mutter, “Come with me,” as I’m pulling her into the bedroom.
I unzipped her skirt so it fell to the floor as she unbuttoned my shirt, pushing it off my shoulders. Her hands moved to push my pants down as I grabbed the bottom of her sweater, pulling it over her head. She pushes me back towards the end of my bed, gently pushing me to sit down.
She unclasps her bra, letting it slide down her arms until her tits are on full display. “Fuck me, you’re so hot,” I let out as I watch her toss the bra onto the floor.
She crawls into my lap and slips my cock back into her. Her lips pressed into me as she sat down. Rolling her hips against mine as we made out. My hands just run all over her, taking her in as she makes herself feel good.
When I feel her start to move up, my hands move to hold just under her ass. Helping lift her up, watching her tits bounce as she rides me.
Her hands hold onto my shoulders for support; as she leans in close to my ear, she mumbles, “Baby, your cock is sooo-” My hips jerk up as she tells me, making her moan at the feeling.
My hands still holding tight onto her ass as she rides me. I just take her in as she writhes against me, my grip on her tightening a little. Her eyes meet mine quickly, the way her pupils dilate as she stares at me.
Her sweet voice whispered, “Do it again.”
My eyebrows pull together until her hand reaches down, tapping my wrist a few times, with a devious little smirk on her lips. OH.
She rolls her hips against me a few times when I pull my hand back, bringing it back down against her quickly. The sound mixed with the moan she let out— I could get used to that.
She moans out, “Fuck me, Jake.”
One of my arms wraps around her waist, holding her close to me as I stand up. I lay her down against my pillows, still sitting between her legs; I lean over, grabbing a condom quietly. I know I won’t last long at this point, so I lean down and start dancing my tongue around her clit. Listening to her moans get higher pitched, her hands grabbing at my hair as she gets close. I plunge my fingers back into her, looking up at her when I say, “Tell me how good it is, honey.”
Her jaw drops, and the grip on my hair is strong as I work her through her orgasm; the sound of her voice as she comes makes me weak.
Sitting up on my knees, keeping one hand lightly rubbing her thigh, stroking myself a few times. I slide the condom on as she comes down, just watching her for a minute until she looks back at me.
I slip back into her, leaning down and kissing her slowly. Feeling the way her breathing is still heavy, she lets out a happy little “mmm” against me.
Starting to move my hips, I just look down at her. That’s my girl, my gorgeous girl. My heart starts to race as I take her in when I let out a quiet “I love you.”
Her hands grab my face, pulling me into her. She kisses my top lip gently, the tip of my nose, and lingers her lips against my forehead when she whispers back, “I love you, baby.”
We stay in this slow pace, littering kisses all over. Her hands basically touch any part of me that she can reach, as if she just wants to feel closer. Cradling her head in my hands, I just stare at her as my hips gently rock into her.
God— she’s mine, I think to myself. She’s genuinely the most beautiful person I’ve ever known, and I get to have all of her for myself. My hips start to move faster at the thought.
Leaning down close to her, I tuck my face into her neck, breathing her in. My pace picks up again; she’s mine. The thought makes me smile against her skin.
“Fuck—mmm…” I groan; I can feel my orgasm starting to build. Snapping my hips into her a little harder,  “mine” slips out, and my eyes go wide.
Until she whispers back, “Yes baby, I’m all yours.” My heart pounds at the fact she’s encouraging it.
“Say it again,” I tell her, my voice a little louder.
“I’m yours,” she breathes out in a moan.
My eyes roll back a little at the sound, fuck.
“Come on, Jake, show me how much you love me,” she tells me. My breathing starts to pick up, letting out little whimpers when I exhale.
She keeps going; her voice is making everything so much more intense. Whispering, “I know you’re close; let me have it.”
Feeling her legs wrap around me, Fuck— she’s so hot. She holds my face gently, moving me so her lips are just hardly hovering over my ear when she lets out, “Come, baby,” in the sexiest tone I’ve ever heard.
My orgasm hits me like a freight train, moaning out, “Char—“
A minute goes by; she’s just running her hand through my hair, letting me cuddle into her. One of her hands slid down to just gently scratch my back; this is heaven.
“Feel good, babe?” She asks quietly.
I just hum back, “Mmmm.. mhm.”
I can feel her kiss the side of my head a few times, so I lazily kiss her neck. Slowly but surely, I prop myself up to look at her.
“Come with me?”
She giggles, moving the hair out of my face. “Where are we going?”
“I just want to shower real quick,” I tell her, suddenly feeling very vulnerable. My voice gets quiet when I let out, “But.. I want you to be there.”
She leans up, kissing my cheek, “Okay.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
We both stand there in the shower, letting the warm water hit us. I’m just trying to prevent her from getting her hair wet so she can worry about it in the morning. But being able just to hold her for a few extra minutes was perfect.
She leaned back and looked at me. Her voice was quiet, “Do you want to know when I realized I loved you?”
“Of course,” I say with a small laugh.
She smiles at me, her arms sliding around my neck, “Well, you know the one night that we went out together?”
I laugh before saying, “Hun, we’ve done that a lot in the past year.”
“Oh, true,” she starts, giggling. “When we went on the unspoken date— we were still pretending we didn’t like each other that much.”
“Yes, absolutely,” I laugh with her this time. “I was incredibly obsessed with you at that point, but yes, continue.”
Her face got a little red at my comment, but she finally told me, “When you were singing to me and making me dance with you— all I could think was how I could spend forever watching you just be happy like that.”
“Forever’s a long time,” I whisper, my eyebrows raised at her with a little smile.
She leans in close, whispering back, “Not long enough with you.”
She is my wife; I’ll make sure of it.
After spending a couple of minutes struggling to breathe while we made out, we were finally crawling back into bed. We lay there talking for a bit before she started to fall asleep.
I can’t help but kiss the top of her head as she drifts off, mumbling into her, “I love you so much.”
She looks up at me, her eyelids heavy, mumbling back, “I love you.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯**************⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
Thanksgiving Day
Listening to the shower run and the random splashes from her washing her hair, I sneak into Josh’s room. Grabbing the package and quickly opening it. The small velvet box creaks as I open it. An oval cut diamond sparkles back at me, little clusters of diamonds sit on either side, and a dainty gold band. I hope she likes it.
I’ve spent the last year watching her when we’re at stores where there’s jewelry or the occasional glance when I see her scrolling on her phone. She’s never been pushy about anything happening; granted, we just told each other, ‘I love you.’ But she is my little romantic lady, and I’ve watched her zoom in on ring posts, figuring out the things she likes.  I can’t wait to call her my wife one day.
I wander back into my room, tucking it behind a few things on the shelf in my closet. Knowing she’s too small to get to it and chuckling to myself at the thought of her trying.
The water shuts off, so I make my way to the bathroom to be a menace. Slowly opening the door, peeking in as she’s wrapping herself up with the towel.
“Shit— I missed it.”
“Sorry, babes,” she sighs. “Gotta move quicker next time.”
“I’ll wait,” I giggle. Watching her rub various products into her face. She keeps peeking over at me as I just lean against the counter. She’s so fucking beautiful.
“Are you really just going to watch me get ready?” She asks through a laugh.
I just nod at her, “What else could I be doing?”
She steps over to me, giving me a kiss with a little grin on her face.
“I’ll make you a deal.”
My eyebrow pops up instantly, “I’m listening.”
“If you bring me a fresh cup of coffee, I’ll drop the towel,” she tells me with a little wink.
My eyes widen at the proposition, and no words come out as I scramble to the kitchen to make her more coffee. I’ve never set up the coffee pot faster.
Practically prancing back to the bathroom with coffee for both of us, holding hers out to her. I’m sure I look like a kid on Christmas, but when your girlfriend is as gorgeous as mine, it’s hard not to be excited.
She takes it from me, sipping on it quickly, “Mmm.. thank you.” She tilts her head back with her lips already in a cute little pout, waiting for a kiss. I set my mug on the counter, cupping her jaw before kissing her. I feel the towel hit my feet, and the smile that creeps onto my face makes it hard to keep kissing her.
“Have I told you that you’re the best?” I giggle against her lips. Backing up a little to take her in, I still get butterflies whenever I look at her. She looks at me through the mirror, my smirk selling me out before I can even ask her, “What if we just ditched my family and you stay like this instead?”
“I think you’d like that a little too much,” she laughs as I wiggle my eyebrows at her. “Plus, your mom would never let you hear the end of it.”
“She already loves you. You don’t have to be on her side, you know?”
“I’m just trying to save you from another sex lecture from her, baby,” she tells me, a shitty little smirk on her lips. I never should have told her about what my mom said; she’s teased me ever since because almost nothing is worse than to have your mom, of all people, talk to you about your sex life, especially as an adult.
“Speaking of,” I start, knowing she’s going to yell at me for what I’m about to say. But it’s a little too fun to get her going. Fighting a smirk as I tell her, “If we sleep there, you’re gonna need to control yourself. I know it might be hard for you—“
“Excuse me?” She cuts me off. “You’re going to look at me right now and tell me that I have no self-control?”
I let out a loud laugh as she stared at me.
“Jake, be so serious,” trying to hold in her laugh, she rolls her eyes at me as she clips her hair up out of her way.
“You’re right,” I tell her. “But, honey,” I move closer to her, sliding my hands around her waist, “How am I supposed to have self-control when you look like this?” Pressing a kiss into her shoulder. Letting my hands wander up, cupping her breasts and letting my thumbs run over her nipples lightly.
Her head leans back against me, “Babe, you’re proving my point,” she whispers. She turns her face, kissing my cheek before looking back into the mirror to finish putting her makeup on. “Let me finish getting ready, and I’ll take care of you later, promise.”
My eyes shoot up, and my hands drop to her hips. I hold them as I meet her stare in the mirror. I can see the red creep into my cheeks as she winks at me.
“Char—“
“You’ll just have to stay quiet for me,” she says, immediately followed by her little giggle.
My head drops back because I know I’m blushing hard at this point, “Oh, shut up.” I slap her ass as I move back to my spot, grabbing my coffee and sipping on it as she laughs at me.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
After watching her eyes light up when she picks out what she wants me to wear. She insisted that we coordinate at least since it’s really the first holiday we’re spending together, and my mom is notorious for taking pictures of everyone throughout the day.
She always looks good, but I can’t stop staring at her as we walk down to the car. In an oversized cream sweater with her tights and boots, she looks precious, especially so when she’s got her hand wrapped around my arm as we walk—opening her door for her and letting her get comfortable. I toss our bag into the back seat as I make my rounds to the driver’s side.
Instinctually, I just hand my phone to her so she can pick music. It’s adorable how she tries to find songs that we both like, even though I don’t think I would question anything she puts on.
Reaching over, she quickly slips her hand into mine. Spending the rest of the drive listening to whatever she picks and the little giggles that come out of her as she scrolls through things on her phone.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
“You ready for the chaos?” I whisper as I throw the car in park.
She’s gotten more used to spending time with everyone, but adding my parents in is a different beast entirely. They all mean well; it’s just a lot of people with loud personalities.
She leans over to kiss me, whispering, “It’ll be fun.”
I grab our stuff from the backseat, and as she comes around, I hold my hand out for her. Carefully walking up the dirt driveway, my parents are always choosing different Airbnbs to stay in, and this one is just in the woods this time. As we get up to the door, I turn around to look at her.
“One more,” I mumble, leaning in to kiss her again. Her little smile against me made everything better. Knocking on the door behind me as I left a few small pecks on her lips. Hearing someone walking towards us, I pull away from her. The last thing I’m going to do is mildly embarrass her right away.
“LOTTIE,” Quinn’s voice made me jump.
They squeal and hug as if they don’t see each other almost every day, if not at least talking. They’ve become incredibly close over the past year, which probably doesn’t help that we’re all in the apartment often enough.
“Which of my babies is that?” My mom’s voice carries from a different room. Waiting for her to come in, knowing exactly what’s going to happen. “Oh my goodness! Don’t you look so cute!” She pulls Char into a hug, and here we go.
“Thank you,” Char’s sweet giggle laced it. “It already smells amazing in here.”
“Oh, you’ll have to come see what I’m baking– actually, I may have you help me if you want,” Mom tells her, her eyebrows raised, knowing that Char isn’t going to say no to baking.
“Ooooo! Yes, please!”
We’ve been here for two minutes, and I’ve already lost her to my mom. This may be record timing.
“Hi, Sweetheart, I didn’t forget about you,” Mom coos as she comes over to me, glancing at my outfit. “She dressed you, didn’t she?”
I just nod, hugging her. Mumbling to her, “Where should I put our bag?”
“Whichever room you want,” she tells me, “I’m just so happy you’re gonna stay the night.” Her hand patted my chest a few times.
I smile at her, “Of course.” She just looks at me, tucking my hair behind my ear before turning back to steal Char away.
Wandering down the hall and choosing one of the rooms to throw our stuff in. Feeling a little insane as I just smile to myself, but every time we do something for the first time like this, it’s like I’m falling in love with her all over again.
“Well, well, well,” Josh’s voice rings from behind me.
I whip my head around, “Surprised you’re not out there with everyone?”
“I was kicked out of the kitchen,” he tells me. “Apparently, they don’t agree with my ‘creative decisions’ or something.” Rolling his eyes as he folds his arms over his chest. “So, I’m going to force you to hang out with me instead.”
“Ahh,” I let out, laughing quietly. “Just like when we were kids.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
We found ourselves sitting in the living room with our dad as the parade was starting on TV. Just catching up with him until we hear the front door open, knowing that it must be Sam. Listening to our mom holler through the house, “Is that my baby boy?”
Josh and I look at each other from across the couch. He rolls his eyes, and I can’t fight the laugh that comes out.
“I saw that,” our dad mumbles, a small smirk creeping onto his face.
Josh, being who he is, shrugs dramatically and, with a sarcastic tone, lets out, “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Both of us giggled like children again.
“You two aren’t as slick as you think,” he laughs. Groaning as he stands up from the couch, he gives my shoulder a squeeze as he walks past.
It only takes a couple of minutes before he comes back to join us again, with Sam in tow this time. Sam plopping down near me, which is probably for the best at the rate this morning is going. Josh would probably be pestering him instantly. Our dad fell back into the spot he already had claimed.
Spending the holiday all together was always nice, mostly because none of us were working, and we obviously didn’t get to see our parents all that often. Typically, Josh would get roped into helping our mom, but I think she’s really living her best life with Quinn, Willa, and Char in there instead. She’s always been outnumbered by us, so now we’ve all been told to keep out.
Getting to spend time with our dad as an adult has been way more fun. He was usually the one in charge of telling us to ‘knock it off’ as kids and having to separate us when we were fighting. But now, we just get to enjoy hanging out with him and seeing him laugh at the stories we tell rather than have to lecture us.
In the midst of a story from him, Quinn walks in, setting a tray of little snacks for us on the coffee table, pointing out one of them to Josh, but I couldn’t hear what they said because Char slid her hand over my chest from behind the couch.
“Thought you might want this,” she says, handing me a hot cup of coffee. My head tilted back against the couch to see her as I carefully stole the mug from her.
I just stare at her for a second, taking in how adorable she looks today, before mumbling back, “Thank you, hun.” She leans down, kissing my forehead before padding back off into the kitchen. My self-control really is low because I absolutely watched her walk away until she was completely out of sight.
“You good over there, bud?” My dad taps my arm, bringing me back to reality as he chuckles to himself.
My face heats up a little, but I just sip my coffee to try to hide it.
“They’re always like that,” Sam chimes in, making a disgusted face at me. I flip him off as I take another sip of my coffee.
“Samantha, I know you’re not talking,” Quinn says, making the rest of us laugh. “Don’t forget, I can hear you and Wills talking when you’re at our apartment.”
His jaw drops slightly, just staring back at them.
“Should I give examples?”
“Nope! I’d rather you didn’t!”
Josh chimes in, “I personally think it’s cute how she has Jake wrapped around her finger.”
Our dad laughs as soon as it comes out, which makes me laugh. He isn’t wrong. Quinn kissed Josh’s cheek before prancing back off to the kitchen.
“Hard not to be,” I mumble into my coffee mug. All I can think of is how she’s just the type of love I need in my life. She’s this incredibly independent woman, so confident in her career, and wildly intelligent— she blows my mind every day. But then she’ll come home to me on the weekends and melt into me, just wanting to be loved and so sweet. Or if I go to her and the bar has been overwhelming, she’s so gentle and takes care of me.
The sound of Sam and Josh cackling brings me back while my dads mutters, “Oh, give him a break.” Probably good that I didn’t hear it.
We all sat around as Dad updated us on how life outside of New England was. Telling us about all the little places they’ve found, their favorite restaurants, and the few friends they’ve finally made.
“That’s great, Dad,” Sam chimes in. It feels like we’re all kids again, just hanging out with him; the thought alone makes my heart swell a little.
“You guys should come visit during the winter,” he tells us. “Get out of the cold for a few days.”
I look over to him, “I’m sure we can plan something.”
Hearing a fit of laughter coming from the other room, we all look at each other in silence.
“That’s a scary sound,” Dad groans quietly, and we all giggle. “Everyone knows a secret about one of us now.”
“Don’t say that.”
“Oh god.”
“No, no, no.”
He throws his head back in laughter, “Figured you boys would have learned at this point. Your mother loves to share secrets with anybody who will listen.”
“Shit,” I let out under my breath. This isn’t the first time she’s been around Charlotte, but I’m usually right next to her, so the secrets have been kept to a minimum. I’m definitely fucked.
Quickly distracted by the sound of little feet walking through the room, Iris runs straight over to Josh when she rounds the corner of the couch. He scoops her up in a hug, her little laugh making all of us smile.
“I should have known that’s where she was going,” Danny’s voice cuts through the laughter, joining Josh and Iris on the other side of the couch.
My dad has always loved him, well— both of my parents do. But he has an open invitation to every holiday that my parents decide to host. I think they like that he has Mel and Iris now, especially since none of their actual children are going to be giving them grandkids anytime soon.
They’re mid-conversation when Sam abruptly jumps up, walks to the hall, and yells, “Mom! Santa is almost here!” Coming back to the couch, our dad shot him a wink.
“Thank you, Sammy,” Mom lets out loudly as she scurries into the room, leaning on the back of the couch behind Dad. Everyone follows her in; Willa is plopping down next to Sam, and Quinn is sitting on the floor below Josh. There she is.
“Hey you,” I whisper as Char sneaks over to me, tucking herself close to me as we watch Mel tell Iris to look for Santa. My arm tugged her as close as I could because I knew I was only getting her for a couple of minutes.
“Is this a thing?” She whispers in my ear.
I nod, turning my face to whisper back. “My mom always makes sure that she comes in to watch Santa show up because we would get so excited when we were little. So now, we always make sure to get her before, and she always cries when he shows up.”
Her little smile when she lets out a little “aw” before looking over to my parents. My mom’s arms are slung around my dad’s neck, and he has one hand covering hers. Her eyes already teared up at just the glimpse of Santa and Mrs Claus, but the tears finally fell when Iris jumped out of Josh’s arms, pointing to the TV.
“Oh, what a sweet little thing,” Mom lets out quietly.
I pull Char’s legs over mine, keeping my hand on her thigh. I want to just keep her to myself now. The urge to keep her trapped only got worse when she leaned her head against me.
Before I knew it, chaos ensued yet again. My mom stole my girlfriend from me, not before I snuck about eighteen “one more” kisses on her— despite being told to get a room.
Somehow, we all got roped into a game, or a handful of rounds, of hide and seek with Iris, proving that we are still just children.
All of us laugh as we run around this house, trying to find places to hide that aren’t too hard for her to figure out. The only downside was dependent on who she found first. Unfortunately, Sam only plays to win, so if she found him first, we were all screwed; he would be holding her on his hip as he did all the leg work for her, making a scene when he’d find us, which made her belly laugh every time.
We spent a few hours entertaining her when my mom finally announced that the food was basically ready. I wander into the kitchen to grab a drink, but I am sidetracked when I sneak behind Charlotte, sliding my arms around her.
“Hi, baby,” she giggles quietly.
I snuggle my face into her neck for a second, whispering, “I’ve missed you all day.”
“I’ll be all yours soon enough.”
I press a kiss to her cheek before letting go, asking, “What do you want to drink? I’ll bring it in there for you.”
A collective ‘aw’ rings through the room, and I can feel my face heat up a little. At least they think it’s cute; I’ve just been bullied all day. I poured some of the wine from the fridge into her and grabbed a glass for myself. Going out of my way to give her a kiss, feeling her grab my ass as I turn to join the rest of the boys. I whipped my head to look at her, and she just smirked at me. She subtly blew me a kiss. She’s lucky she’s cute.
Everyone slowly joins the table, taking turns grabbing food. There are at least fourteen conversations happening at once, but somehow, it’s not overwhelming. Char is sitting to my left, my hand finding comfort on her leg every so often. The conversations varied throughout the meal from everybody focused on Mom telling a story, likely about us as kids or just tapering off into a million different ones. Feeling her hand grab mine once she was done eating, she just mindlessly played with the rings I had on as we sat there.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
After dinner was done, Mom insisted that none of the kids help with dishes but get into comfy clothes so we could watch Christmas movies together. We all say our goodbyes to Danny, Mel, and Iris since they have more families to visit.
I lay on our bed, watching her change into my sweatshirt and some leggings. She looks up at me, giggling as she pulls on some fuzzy socks, “they’re extra comfy,” she told me when she packed them this morning.
“You ready, honey?” I ask as she sits on the bed with me.
She lays back, throws her leg over my hips, and plants a kiss on me. Letting out a quiet “Almost.” She snuggles herself into me for a minute, which I won’t complain about. My hand squeezed her thigh a few times.
“Comfortable?”
She nods her head against me, “I’ve barely seen you today. Feels weird.”
“I’m glad you had fun with my mom, at least.”
She lets out a little laugh, propping herself up on her elbow before telling me, “She told me a little secret about you.”
“Did she?”
Her smile is wide as she stares at me, “Mhmm,” she hums.
“Why do I feel like I know what it is..?” I mumble, squinting my eyes at her.
Her sweet little laugh sneaks out, “Well.. something about you always crying over having to wash your pirate jammies?” Of course.
“Come on, if we don’t get up now, I’m never gonna go,” I tell her, patting her butt a couple of times. Why does she have to tell everybody that?
“Oh, don’t be embarrassed!” She hangs on me as I sit up. “It's cute, baby!”
“Yeah, yeah,” I roll my eyes at her, fighting a smile. “I’m sure she’s ready to spill all my secrets to you.”
Her lips land on my cheek as she giggles at me, her hand holding the other side of my face. She whispers, “I’ll tell you my secrets later if you want.”
Jesus Christ. I can feel my heart rate pick up, quickly spitting out, “Alright, you. Let’s go.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
We make our way out to the living room, claiming the corner of the couch that I’d been in all morning. I give her the actual corner of the couch and just pull the coffee table closer so I can prop my feet up on there.
It’s not long before everybody else is coming in and getting comfortable. Sam and Willa steal the other corner since his legs are too long to be banished to the end of the couch. My parents sat between us, mom closer to me.
Josh and Quinn curl up together at Char’s feet, just propping cushions up so they don’t squish her. Dad shuts off the big lights, just letting the little lamps try to light up this room.
My mom changed it to The Grinch, and the tradition continued as we all curled up with our own blankets.
I feel Char adjust so she’s cuddled up on my chest, my arm wrapped around her to keep her close. Pressing a kiss to the top of her head without thought. My mom’s hand grazes mine, making me look over at her. She holds my hand for a second as we just stare at each other, giving my hand a few squeezes before she leans into Dad.
And there we all sat, laughing at the movie like we do every year. Finally, feeling complete as the love of my life giggles against me while I’m surrounded by my family. It feels like nothing could get better at the moment until she tilts her head up, kisses my cheek, and whispers, “I love you.”
I glance down at her, giving her a quiet kiss, hoping to not out us to the rest of the room. She just stares up at me, the green of her eyes hardly visible in the dim glow of the TV. But the butterflies still erupt inside me when she looks at me like that. I can’t believe I get to spend forever with her. Slowly blinking at her, I just take her in.
Finally, whispering back, “I love you, honey.”

Terrible news :
I’m sick with the flu and the only thing that can cure me is price family/joking/pos
Oh no!!! I’m hope I’m not too late, but I have brought something that may ease your illness:
Simon felt like he was going to vomit. Which, unfortunately, had become a common feeling over the past few weeks.
Johnny joked that it was morning sickness, which that earned him a glare and several hours of the silent treatment.
Simon knew that, in reality, it was just nerves. But this was a kind of nervousness he hadn’t felt since he was a teen, and he very much hadn’t missed it.
What was everyone going to say? Even worse, what would they think but never dare tell him to his face? What if they thought he couldn’t do this? What is it turned out that they were right?
If he didn’t shut this train of thought down, he was definitely going to end up having a meltdown. He just wished that all these questions had come to mind before he made such a huge commitment.
It was far too late for that now. This wasn’t something he could just back out of. Well, he technically could. But he couldn’t, wouldn’t, do that to Johnny. He was nothing like his shitty excuse for a father, and he was going to prove it.
Simon was finally broken out of his spiral by a warm palm landing on his shoulder.
“Ye ready to go, love? Pretty sure if we’re not at the house in the next 20 minutes, Farah’s gonnae drag us over there herself.”
The most Si could manage was a nod. He needed to save all of his words for the barrage of questions he was bound to face from his family. Even though he knew that, if his voice did fail him, his wonderful husband would be right there to carry on for him.
Without another word, the two men made their way to the car, followed by Si’s service dog Riley. The giant german shepherd made herself comfy in the equally as large man’s lap, as opposed to her usual spot in the back. She was always good at knowing when her owner could use an extra bit of comfort.
The car ride was far too short and quiet for either of the men’s tastes. That’s how you knew Johnny was just as nervous, because he couldn’t bring himself to fill the silence. After all, it wasn’t just the Price family that had to get the approval of, but the entire Mactavish and Riley clans as well.
Simon could do this. They could do this. They had to. They knew when they made the decision months ago that this was going to happen. And now it was go time.
“Are you sure we can’t tell them in 7 months? Make it a fun little surprise?” Simon was trying to lighten the mood, but his voice came out a little more desperate than intended.
“Si, if we do that both our mam’s will skin us alive. And then we’ll have ta deal with ma sisters, and then yer siblings, and then-“
“Alright, alright, I get it.” He sighed. “Let’s just get this over with.” He turned to leave the car, but John caught his hand before it could reach for the handle.
“It’s gonnae be alright, Mo ghràdh. But if it goes tits up, then we’ll just run away to the Highlands and become cow farmers.”
“I’m holding you to that, Johnny.” With one finally deep breath and a peck on the lips from his ridiculous partner, Simon was ready to face their family. Well, as ready as he was going to be.
The Price family house was the same as it was the day he had moved out: loud. It was actually louder than ever, with the combined noise of three families and his papa’s ever-growing collection of animals.
The pair made their way to the living room, narrowly avoiding tripping over Kyle’s rambunctious twin girls and a pit bull puppy with a case of the zoomies. There, they found the center of the chaos.
Price and Nik were busy cooing over Kyle’s youngest daughter, while Bonnie Mactavish boasted about her own small army of grandkids. Mary Riley was reminiscing about when Joseph was a baby, much the squirming seven-year-old’s embarrassment.
Roach and Alex had separated themselves from the baby fever and were in the middle of an aggressive arm wrestling match. They had already roped Phillip into their competition earlier, if the ice pack on his hand was anything to go by. Farah was alternating between cheering them on and fussing over a heavily pregnant Valeria. Valeria was juggling between soothing her worried wife and loudly arguing with Ale, as usual. Rudy was nowhere to be seen, meaning he had someone managed to escape the mayhem for a minute. Which Simon was deeply jealous of.
The two newcomers remained unnoticed until Joseph let out a squeal of “Uncle Simon!” and rushed into the blonde man’s arms.
Suddenly, all eyes were on them and a hush fell over the room. The couple’s arrival reminded everyone that they were gathered there to hear an Announcement, and everyone was on the edge of their seats.
The abrupt silence was somehow worse than the deafening noise, and Simon had to stop himself from booking it to the exit. He almost lost the battle to his urges, but then his mum was there, guiding him to the couch and telling him how much she missed him.
The other adults in the room broke out of their own stupor and followed suit, greeting the pair with hugs and kisses and pats on the back. Tommy even offered Si a brotherly smack on the back of the head, which he eagerly reciprocated.
But all too quickly, everyone remembered why they where their, and the spotlight was firmly back the young men.
This was it.
Simon felt the nausea roiling in his stomach once again, and he feared he might puke all over Joseph, who had settled in his lap.
He contemplated passing the little boy over to Beth, but then Jo looked up at him with those big green eyes and his cute little gap-toothed smile. He could do this. If not for himself, then for his nephew, who had influenced this decision in the first place.
Sensing his trepidation, Johnny opened his mouth to start them off, but Si silenced him with a hand on his thigh. He said that he wanted to be the one to tell them, and he was sticking by that.
He looked into Johnny’s eyes to muster up his courage, and then he said those words that were both dread and so joyous.
“Johnny and I are having a baby.”
More silence.
Si’s stomach dropped and his mind raced. They didn’t think he could do it. They thought he’d be a bad father. He couldn’t be here. He couldn’t look at them. He couldn’t do this.
He started to awkwardly stand up, hoping to throw up somewhere that wasn’t on his nephew. He’s stopped in his tracks by a startled laugh from next to him.
“Bloody hell, Si, ye couldnae have broken the news gentler? Ah think yer da is gonnae have a heart attack!” Johnny broke off again in a fit a laughter, earning him a smack from his oldest sister. But even she was smothering her own chuckle.
All around him, Si’s family began to laugh, filling the space with the bright and happy noise he was so accustomed to.
After he recovered from his own amusement, Johnny began to explain everything in more detail. He told them about their surrogate, and how she was about 3 months along. Meanwhile, Simon just sat there, basking in the smiles and congratulations from a family he never imagined he’d be lucky enough to have.
Eventually, it was Nik who popped the question everyone was dying to know.
“So, am I looking forward to a beautiful granddaughter or a beautiful grandson?”
Johnny smiled wickedly and let Simon do the honors.
“A grandson.” He let a beat go by, before hitting them with the big news. “And a granddaughter.”
There was an eruption of squeals and gasps and cheers from around the room, leaving no doubt in Simon’s mind that their babies were love and accepted. That he was loved and accepted.
After that, everything blended into a rowdy and overstimulating and wonderful mess.
Nik whooped and started passing drinks around the room. Price cried about how his baby was growing up while Bonnie teased him, even with the tears in her own eyes. Johnny’s sisters tried to scare their brother with parenting horror stories, while Simon’s siblings fought over who would be the favorite aunt/uncle. Gaz and Tommy welcomed him as a new father. Joseph insisted that he should get to be the first one to hold the new babies.
Simon let it wash over him, content to lean into his mum and watch everyone celebrate.
“You’re gonna be such a good dad, Si. Your babies will know they’re loved from the second they’re born. I’m so proud of you, baby boy.” Mary pressed a kiss to his temple, and if he let a few tears slip down his face, then that was his business.
He could do this. It would be hard. Anything in life that’s worth is. But at least he wouldn’t be doing it alone.
These babies really had no idea how much love was waiting for them when they get here.
I’m sorry this is so long!!! I haven’t written anything is so long, so it just kinda all came out lol. I hope you like it and that it’s not a complete mess!!! I hope this helps you feel better! Don’t die on me, Aggs!!

Someone Who Enjoys Life
Tumblr media
Leon Kennedy X Chubby! Reader
It's been one of those weeks and your self-esteem has been having a rough moment. Leon won't just let that stand.
Warnings: Body image issues, bad eating habits (mentioned)
A/N: I was using a character AI for Leon and he said something to me since like sometimes I do basically storylines about body image issues and it gave me this line that I just adored.
It's been one of those weeks for you. You've struggled with your body image issues before so this wasn't exactly new territory. It's just this time it was practically bad.
Small things were getting under your skin this week. Little things like having to go buy a new pair of jeans due to the inner thigh fabric being worn out. Reminding you of the size of your thighs, and all it did was embarrass you. Noticing how your clothes fit on you, things like that.
It definitely doesn't help Leon has been distant this week due to work. Not that you could blame him, it's just when he's like this he's close to impossible to get support from. So, you kept it to yourself this week. Dealing with it in small ways, and you weren't sure if it was actually helping or not.
Leon immediately something was off this week, he knows you better than anyone at this point. He watched from afar as you avoided the shared bathroom mirror. He swears up and down that you didn't eat dinner one night, and he noticed you were more reserved when it came to physical affection.
He wanted to say something, he really did but he knows from past experiences that body image issues are a delicate topic. Not to mention while he's had some experience with it, it wasn't quite the same experience as you. On top of that, he was currently dealing with something work-related, meaning he shit out of ideas on how to handle this.
It was a quiet night in the week of chaos, Leon looked up from his paperwork as you were making something in the kitchen.
"So..." Leon speaks up, you look at him with a raised eyebrow as you can sense the awkward tone in his voice. "I um saw your jeans in the trash." He suddenly brings up. You stop preparing dinner, freezing as the faint feelings of shame and embarrassment rise up in you.
"Y-yeah... just you know... they got worn out." You reply stiffly, refusing to look at him.
"Oh, do you need to go shopping?" Leon was hoping this was going to be an easy fix.
"It's a-alright Leon really." You try to insist just wanting this conversation to end.
"No, if you need jeans you need jeans." He tries to argue with you, he just wants to be helpful. On some level, you understood that, but you were just so embarrassed.
"Leon."
"What? We can even get you a bigger size if you need." He offers, and that's the straw that breaks the camel's back. You don't know the exact reason why but you just start crying at hearing that, causing Leon to look at you with a mix of confusion, worry, and guilt. He rushes out of his seat at the table and heads over to the kitchen. "Sweetheart... what's wrong?" He asks you, his voice soft and low to be more soothing. "This isn't just about the jeans is it?"
"No..." You reply through tears, and before you know it he pulls you into a tight embrace. His strong arms make you feel secure and loved even as you sob against his chest. You feel his fingers in your hair as he just sways you both a bit as he just lets you cry. Letting out whatever you've been bottling up all week.
After a few minutes, you move away from him taking a deep breath as you finally start calming down from your outburst. It's quiet as you grab a paper towel and blow your nose.
"Do... do you want to talk about it?" Leon asks you quietly.
"I-It's... just been a rough week..." You mumble softly, almost numbly.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He questions, his eyebrows pinched together with worry.
"You have work and me having some body image issues isn't-"
"No, no, no, this is important to you so it's important to me. I know how hard it is for you sometimes. I will tell you as many times as you need that you are beautiful and I will always love you." You look at him with slight disbelief. Leon did not care, he'd do this song and dance for the rest of his life if he had to, as long as you believed you were beautiful.
"I just... don't you want someone who's-" You begin, hesitating to say the word he knew was coming.
"Thinner?" He asks crossing his arms, you nod almost sadly. Leon is quiet for a moment before sighing and uncrossing his arms. "I love you so much, that words cannot describe. I love the extra weight you have on you, I really do. You're my soft, squishy partner in crime." He tells you cupping your cheeks gently as you blush brightly. "Do you know why I love your body?" He asks softly, and you shake your head gently. "Because you have the body of someone who enjoys life, and I think that's beautiful..." Your quiet as you think about that, and you feel your throat tighten again with emotion. "I see you and I immediately see someone with so much life and love in them. That's why I love you..." Leon tells you sincerely. "The really nice hugs are just a bonus." He adds on, getting a chuckle from you as you look up at him. You just hug him tightly, catching him a bit off guard but he embraces you back.
"I love you..."
"I love you too sweetheart, and I always will."

Whenever you pictured the apocalypse, the end of the world that people often talked about over drunken hypotheticals or PG-13 level horror, you pictured it loud.
Thunderous even, a deafening mixture of screams and cries behind the roar of fire and destruction.
You imagined utter chaos and it was never quiet in your head when you did so, a clear built scenario that you never paid too much mind to, considering the absolute fantasy of it all.
So now that you were almost a year deep into the official end of humanity, you were a bit thrown off by how different it was from your previous assumptions. Sure, there had been fire and screams and it definitely wasn’t lacking chaos, but most days you found yourself in complete ear ringing silence.
The soundtrack of your day to day life rarely extended past birds chirping, the crunch of leaves and loose sticks under your boots as you attempted your way through forest filled terrain.
It’d taken you a while to leave Seoul, first being held back by fear and panic and then not wanting to leave the comfort of your known surroundings.
It was easy to figure out how to survive there after a while, knowing when it was safe to leave your apartment and scavenge the nearby stores and when it was time to draw the blinds and let’s hoards pass by undetected.
You’d sit with bated breath as you listened to soft groans and bodies bumping against your front door as they mindlessly made their way down the hallway and eventually off to find something that had made a noise or distracted them.
When you imagined the apocalypse before you hadn’t really considered the different types that could occur. You suppose chemical outbreak or maybe even a world war could’ve been possible, far fetched but possible nonetheless. Maybe even multiple waves of natural disasters, wiping out cities and land masses in its wake.
Somehow, the dead rising hadn’t crossed your mind.
The creatures that had lingered outside your door all those months ago weren’t like anything you could’ve possibly dreamed up in your anxious mind, defying science and all rationality with their mere existence and hunger based drive.
It didn’t bother you as much now, having spent weeks frustrated over the mechanics of their mobility, the reasoning for their immortality.
Now you felt somewhat close to them, these days hunger being your main reason for existence and almost your entire train of thought from the moment you woke up to the second you fell asleep. This was the same thing that had finally driven you from the city, the stores running dry eventually and leaving you no choice but to turn to nature for nutrients.
You thought about this comparison now as you came to a slow stop, lowering yourself down into a crouch as you listened to the branches snapping off in the distance.
The knife in your hand felt heavier than normal, eyes darting around the forest as you took in your surroundings and made a quick escape plan in case it was more than one undead, in case you needed to run and run fast. You didn’t want to leave just yet, having followed a deer into the woods a few hours ago and you were in desperate need of an actual meal.
Shifting your weight onto your heels, you listened to the sounds come closer and then stop when they reached a bush a few yards ahead of you.
Your head was cocking in confusion, grip tightening around the leather of your knifes handle as you waited for it to continue its approach. The bush rattled a few times, keeping your attention tightly locked on it as you held your breath.
“Put it down.” A low voice was sounding behind you and you froze, feeling the cold metal pressed against the back of your head before you even registered the fact that somebody was speaking.
It’d been weeks since you’d heard something so real, something so human other than your own voice and you felt a sudden wave of dizziness at the fact you were clearly stuck.
For a brief moment you considered spinning in place and attempting to disarm him, relying on your own swiftness taking him off guard and beating his reactionary speed that would cause him to pull the trigger before you even saw what he looked like.
This plan was put to rest quicker than you could think it through, the bush rattling again as another figured pushed its way through the thick leaves. You watched his face pull into a wince when he saw you and you furrowed your eyebrows.
“Hyung.” He muttered and you heard a sigh from behind you, their plan clearly not entailing this interruption. “She doesn’t have anything on her.”
The one behind you didn’t say anything about this, still not taking his gun off you considering the fact you’d made absolutely no move to lower your own weapon like he had originally instructed you. You remained still despite a wave of fear washing over you at the realization you had nothing of value for them to take other than yourself, a sudden reminder that the apocalypse was scary but being a woman was scarier.
“Go.” He was speaking again, still in that low timbre and the boy from the bush winced again, shaking his head like he wanted to deny the order but also taking an instinctive step forward like he was accustomed to taking them.
You couldn’t get a grasp on their dynamic or what they exactly wanted from you, the boy stood in front of you looked nervous like he had a thin idea of what would happen and he didn’t agree with it. You considered for a second if this was a situation worth trying to talk your way out of, eventually deciding to just let things take their course with your limited options.
“You don’t need to kill her, let’s just leave her here and go back.” He was taking another step forward and he continued to look over your shoulder, eyes only darting down to yours for a second in a silent plea for your cooperation. “She doesn’t know which way we’ll go”
“She was tracking.” The boy behind you was immediately noting and you almost cursed under your breath at the fact he was right. If you wanted to follow them you could, their tracks in the dirt obvious to you now that you’d spent months learning the skill.
“Then we tie her up and leave her, but we don’t need to kill.” He was shaking his head in exasperation and you could hear the boy behind you let out a frustrated sigh.
You had no doubt in your mind that if he was alone he would’ve killed you without a second thought, swift and silent in the way he had approached you from behind and keeping his gun firmly pressed against your skull. Despite your confusion you were silently thankful for the others boys resolve, although it came off as weak to you.
“If you’re going to tie me up in the woods you might as well kill me yourselves.” You were speaking for the first time and both boys reacted immediately.
The one behind you was shifting on his feet to stand firmer, pressing his metal into you while the other in front was giving you a helpless look, clearly upset you had immediately undone any progress he was making for your release.
It was silent for a few moments after that as they looked at each other and you wondered what conclusion they were coming to with just their glances. You hadn’t done yourself any favors in your statement but it was true, leaning you defenseless this close to dark was more of a death sentence than a bullet in your brain.
“We can take her back with us.” The boy from the bush was eventually whispering in a last attempt at keeping you alive, hands coming forward in a plea. “Not as a guest just as a prisoner for now, until we figure out what to do with her.”
You almost laughed at him but decided against it although figuring there was no possible way that would be allowed considering two seconds ago they were about to kill you. However the silence, and lack of immediate rejection, from behind you made you second guess.
You were being pulled to your feet before you even could process him moving again. “You’re explaining it to him, I’m not taking the heat for this.”
His tone was harsh but tired and you were startled at the fact he was actually taking you with, even more fear sinking in as you realized the ‘him’ he was referring to meant they weren’t out here alone. For some reason you hadn’t considered them being with a larger group.
The other boy didn’t say anything but you imagined he gave some form of silent acceptance considering the fact you were suddenly being moved forward harshly with your hands held behind your back.
You hadn’t seen the second boy yet but you were unnerved considering he was able to hold both your wrist together with a single hand, still keeping his gun pressed between your shoulder blades as you moved clumsily through the woods.
From their dynamic you had assumed they were alone, your first mistake, and that he was the leader out of the two of them. Hearing his words about explanation you realized the hierarchy wasn’t that simple and there was clearly somebody they both answered to outside of each other.
“Are your hands okay?” You looked to your left to see the kinder boy following you as you walked, staying at your side with his gun tight in his hands now.
The boy behind you sighed at his question and you weren’t sure exactly how to answer. They were hurting and if you saw any way out of this you would’ve complained, made a sarcastic comment that could potentially get your ass kicked if they weren’t feeling up for jokes at the moment.
Instead you offered him a small nod and turned back to face forward so you didn’t trip.
Your options now were to die here and now, act out and become more of a hinderance than their willing to deal with. Or go along with them and most likely end up being killed eventually anyways, maybe after at least one more night of sleep. You kept your mouth shut for the time being and kept walking.
“We should’ve blindfolded her.” The boy behind you was muttering after an hour or two went by and you vaguely heard the sounds of chatter and fire crackling off in the distance now. “He’s going to lose his shit.”
“Maybe we have Jake talk to him first.” The other one was whispering from beside you as the three of you slowed to a stop, accessing the situation before approaching with a stranger in toe.
It was clear to you now that this group was far larger than you had anticipated. They continued to whisper new names and you listened to the overlapping conversations off in the distance, your heart beating so fast it hurt as you skimmed through the different scenarios this could end in.
While they were distracted you were taking your chance, throwing your shoulder backwards to hit the first boy and taking off in a sprint back the way they had taken you from. You ignored his cry of shock and the others frantic plea for you to stop and come back as you whipped through the trees.
The sun was setting now so any tracking skills you had was completely useless, relying on nothing but your feet and the surrounding terrain as you attempted to put as much distance between you and the others as possible.
You could hear the two who had brought you back with them starting to yell out for help and despite cursing under your breath in frustration, you didn’t blame them and saw it coming before you even ran. You were a stranger and now you knew exactly where they were located, going from a hostage to a threat in seconds.
It had only been 20 minutes of running before you had exhausted yourself from lack of pacing, slamming against a tree and bending over with your elbows to your knees to try and catch your breath.
You could hear shouts in the forest behind you along with groans that brought on the harsh reminder you had more than one enemy in the woods. Their yells and loud feet over leaves and sticks were going to continue to bring more of the dead down on you and you were starting to panic completely.
Before you could think about it anymore or start running again, something heavy was slamming into your side and you were hitting the ground hard.
You flew across the leaves and mud before flipping over onto your back with a shout and scrambling away from whatever had rammed you before you even registered what it was. Another boy, not the one from the bush, was bouncing back to his feet considering he’d also hit the ground after he tackled you and was approaching you swiftly.
He looked furious but you couldn’t tell what type of weapons he had in the dark, kicking you feet out as he gained on you and hitting him in the knee.
A groan fell from his lips and he bent to grab his leg as you pulled yourself off the ground and instinctively reached down towards your thigh for your knife, finding the holster empty and immediately remembering it’d been taken from you hours ago.
He chuckled at your obvious dilemma although it lacked humor, an annoyed expression on his face like you were wasting his time. He was suddenly lunging at you again and although you were fast, he was definitely bigger and you let out a scream as he pinned you back down onto the floor.
Your stomach was pressed tightly against the dirt and you felt his knee land on your back, holding your arms tightly so you couldn’t break free from his hold again.
“Stop fucking moving already.” He was grunting from above you as you continued to thrash and attempt to kick at him despite slowly coming to the realization there was no getting free.
“Hyung.” Another voice was screaming out, obviously following the sounds of your cries and screams to find you. You twisted your head against the dirt to see the boy from the bush approaching you with a few others behind him.
“Sunoo go, you’ve done enough.” Your attacker was spitting from above you and you saw a flash of hurt over the others face, immediately taking a step back towards the rest of the boys who were watching the scene with varying expression.
Sunoo, the one who had brought you here in the first place, was clearly experiencing guilt as he looked down at you but you weren’t sure if it was for you or for causing an issue for his group. One of the boys behind him was reaching a hand up to grab his arm, pulling him backwards softly so he didn’t have to watch.
“Heeseung it wasn’t his fault.” You didn’t recognize the boy who was speaking now, approaching from the side, but you immediately could tell from his low timbre that he was the one who had held you at gunpoint. “I fucked up, we didn’t know what to do.”
“You kill her.” Heeseung was forcing the words out through gritted teeth and you were squirming again underneath his knee, the pain in your back excruciating as you started to find it difficult to breathe. “Or you leave her to the rotters, but under no circumstances do you bring her back to camp.”
Sunoo was glancing at the boy who had said something with a furthering expression of guilt and upset considering the fact those ideas had both been rejected by him. You thought about saying something, about pleading for your life or negotiating a deal where they could bring you far away and leave you somewhere you couldn’t find your way back.
You quickly decided against it considering how serious the boy above you was speaking, also piecing together this was clearly who was in charge and was being discussed in the woods previously.
The others boys were watching in the distance and you were trying to count them to see how outnumbered you were, eventually giving up considering how dark it was and how dizzy you were getting from being pinned against the floor. It was definitely more than you could handle and there was clearly no use in trying to out run them again considering how silently and quickly Heeseung had caught up to you the first time.
You hadn’t even heard him before he came out of the trees and it’d only taken him a second to bounce back onto his feet despite the tackle almost completely knocking the wind out of you.
He had you beat in all aspects and you didn’t feel like poking the bear would be the best move if you wanted to survive the night. That might not be up to either of you however considering the low groans that were starting to fill the forest.
Between the darkness and the almost echoing night air you couldn’t quite tell which direction it was coming from and judging by the way the group of boys starting to look around with their weapons raised, they couldn’t either.
You were being pulled up off the floor before you could think for another second and you sucked in a big breath now that your lungs were no longer restricted, immediately faltering when you were aggressively yanked around as Heeseung started to move towards the boys.
He was flinging you around like a rag doll and you heard him give out a low whistle, the others immediately forming a semi circle defense while everyone started to move in sync through the forest back towards where their camp was. It was a practiced routine and you would’ve been impressed if you weren’t technically their opponent right now.
“Pick your damn feet up.” He was speaking lowly into your ear with irritation and you let out a grunt as he continued to drag you.
“If you gave me a fucking second maybe I could.” You were spitting back and thrashing your torso forward slightly so his grip on your arms would loosen, he didn’t say anything about this and just glared at you as he let you get your balance so you could travel back to the base faster. “Thanks.”
He scoffed but didn’t reply to your sarcastic comment, traveling swiftly in silence on guard in case more than one dead came out from the dark woods.
By the time you got back to the camp, the fires were put out and nobody else was around. You weren’t sure if that’s because it was late or because everybody who lived here was apart of the group trailing behind you.
The camp was mainly made up of tents, some smaller like they were only fit for a pair and some large with big wooden stakes to hold them up. There was a few RV’s you could see from where you were standing and some trucks that could possibly run but for the most part they were large rust buckets littered with blood and dirt residue like the rest of the worlds vehicles.
You were being pulled into the largest tent before you could finish your observation and sat down in a chair furtherest away from the opening. You almost made a comment about them thinking you’d run again but you decided it wasn’t the best idea.
Only two of the boys followed you inside after Heeseung, the one from earlier who had attempted to take the blame off Sunoo and another you didn’t recognize.
“So what’s the plan then?” He was the one who spoke first and you glanced at him from under your messy hair, shifting uncomfortably as Heeseung tied your hands behind the chair tightly.
“First this idiot needs to tell me why he brought her back in the first place.” After he was finished and confident his ties were strong he was circling back around and approaching the familiar one, you couldn’t see his face anymore but his back was tense and straight. “What were you thinking?”
He cocked his head slightly but he didn’t seem deterred or intimidated by Heeseung’s demeanor, only breaking eye contact to spare you a quick glance.
You wondered if he was worried you’d give up the fact it was Sunoo who had practically insisted they bring you back. It was interesting that despite telling him he had to be the one to take the heat originally, he had immediately stepped up for the blame once he realized Heeseung was truly angry.
“She’s a tracker.” He brought his gaze back to the other boy as he spoke calmly. “She would’ve found us if we just left her and I saw no other option.”
The boy you didn’t recognize was looking at you now with a curious expression and you turned your head to look at him for a second, not able to get a good read on what he was thinking or what side of this argument he would be on. You wondered if this was the one mentioned earlier, Jake.
“You should’ve killed her Jay.” He was holding your gaze as he said it and you were taken back by his comment, not expecting him to be so blunt and cold.
Jay, despite being the one to originally put a gun to your head, also looked thrown off by this and faltered in his calm expression for a second and he looked at him. “Are you serious?”
“Jake’s right.” Heeseung shook his head, confirming your previous suspicious and Jay let out a small laugh of disbelief, taking a step away from the two boys back towards the entrance.
“I’m just supposed to blow her brains out right in front of Sunoo, just because there’s a slight chance she’d follow us?” He was holding his hands up in frustration and you shifted uncomfortably in the seat again, causing their heads to turn towards you.
Heeseung was approaching you swiftly and you watched him as he took large steps, gasping when his hand was reaching up to grab a solid chunk of your hair in his tight grip. He pulled slightly to make you look at up him, bending slightly so he could hold eye contact with you.
“How many people are in your group?” He was speaking steadily and low but you could feel the warning in his tone.
You were shaking your head in denial and confusion but stopped when he tightened his grip and repeated himself louder and more agitated. “How many?”
“I don’t have a group, it’s just me.” You were wincing and trying to hold his gaze, failing miserably due to the pain and intensity. Your eyes went over his shoulder to look at Jay and you gave him a desperate look. “Tell him it was just me.”
He didn’t say anything and you didn’t expect him to, only asking out of pure panic and as a last ditch attempt to plead your case. You weren’t afraid to die but if you could help it, it wouldn’t be in some random groups tent just because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Heeseung was loosening his grip on your hair as he looked at you but keeping his hand on the back of your head, a silent warning in case you decided to act out in any sort of way. You watched him with your breath held as you waited for him to say something or react in any sort of way. He was just studying your expression like he was attempting to seek out some trace of a lie on your face.
“You can track.” He was stating suddenly but you took it as a question and nodded repeatedly as best as you could with how close he was to your face. “Can you hunt?”
You were nodding again but slower this time, not quite understanding where this was going. He was looking over his shoulder back at the other boys and Jake gave him an incredulous look that only confused you further before you slightly pieced together what he could he implying.
“You’re not serious.” He was laughing but it was devoid of humor, glancing at Jay who was stony faced as he looked at you. “Heeseung, you can’t be serious right now. Let her stay?”
You felt a wave of sickness pass by as he confirmed what you were thinking and you hoped you didn’t look too appalled visibly. You didn’t like this idea anymore than the thought of them killing you, never being in a group by choice. You didn’t necessarily play well with others and certainly not after they held you hostage and tackled you in the woods.
“She hunts.” He said it like it was obvious and you couldn’t deny the fact it was a valuable asset nowadays as human-made resources slowly died out. You’d noticed it yourself back at your apartment, having to venture out further and further every time you went for a run.
“Riki hunts.” Jake was quickly shutting him down and your interest piqued.
“Riki is learning to hunt but it’s not enough.” Jay was adding into the conversation now, still looking at you as he spoke like he had been since he entered the tent. “It’s almost winter and we can’t keep taking these day long trips every time we’re low…. and we’re always low.”
It was silent for a few moments while they looked at each other in frustration and you once again tried to understand the hierarchy and dynamics at play here, falling short every time. Eventually Jake was scoffing and exiting the tent, slamming the flap down as he left in anger.
Heeseung swiped a hand at Jay, dismissing him too and you didn’t miss the small nod he gave you before turning on his heel and following after the other boy.
That left you and Heeseung alone in the tent and he was taking a step away from you finally, watching you curiously as you took a breath finally and held his gaze tight in yours. You felt a dull ache in your back from his knee and your wrist were screaming for release from your constraints.
“Think of it as a trial.” He was turning away from you for a second as he started to talk and you stared daggers into the back of his head. “I don’t kill you now and in return, you don’t do something stupid.”
You watched him as he started to face you again with a stern look on his face, a hint of youth underneath the hardened exterior, and his eyes shot down to your feet and then back to hold your gaze. “Don’t give me a reason to kill you.”
——
You hadn’t spoken to him again but he didn’t seem too bothered by your silence, only muttering small commands as he dragged you out of the tent and towards one of the RV’s.
You were being left there for the night and you tried not to move much after he cut your restraints with a warning full glance, not wanting him to mistake your movements for another attempt at an escape. Despite not wanting to be there any longer than you had to, your chances were slim out in the woods by yourself.
You figured it wouldn’t hurt to stay a few nights, slipping out whenever you had gained their trust and didn’t need to sleep in a guarded metal bucket.
He’d left you with one of the boys you recognized from earlier in the woods, the one who had gently pulled Sunoo back after he started to get scolded. He looked the opposite of gentle now as he glared at you from the foldable table on the other side of the RV, gun hanging loosely on his lap and he watched you.
“Is there something on my face?” You were eventually muttering, not able to stop yourself as irritation bubbled to the surface.
You hadn’t asked to be brought back here, not even remotely putting yourself in this situation, yet everybody was acting like you were purposely causing issues or trying to harm them.
“You shouldn’t be here.” He was shaking his head and the deep tone of his voice threw you off slightly considering how young he looked.
Despite his youthful features, you could tell he was just as weathered and worn by this new world as everybody else was, you included. His eyebrows were pulled tight and his skin was darker in random sections like he had permanent dirt stains.
He was watching you as you observed him quietly, fidgeting slightly the longer you scanned his features and frame.
He was tall, a lot taller than you and even the other boys you’d encountered long enough to get a good sizing up done. You tried not to focus in on the tears in his clothing or the blood stains surrounding his knees and hands, not wanting to make him more uncomfortable than you already were.
“If you don’t want me here, why not just let me go?” You were shrugging like it was a nonchalant thing to ask, feigning ignorance that he clearly didn’t buy judging by his scoff and annoyed expression.
“And get in trouble for no good reason? Are you stupid or do you think I am?” He was letting his gun lean against the table, deciding you were more of a bother than an actual threat.
You shrugged but didn’t talk to him again for a minute of offer him a response to his question, knowing it would just further upset him. Considering the two of you were clearly stuck with each other for the night you didn’t see the point. “I’m Y/N.”
He was sighing as you spoke again, your voice softer than before as you shifted on the uncomfortable half bed Heeseung had sat you down on. You watched him watch you for a few seconds before he finally responded.
“Riki.”
——
You weren’t sure when you had managed to fall asleep, at some point just laying flat on your back and listening to the sounds of the forest off in the distance as they mixed with Riki’s soft breaths on the other side of the RV.
Apparently you had considering the fact you were being shook awake aggressively, jumping up with a start and reflexively striking the person who had woken you.
“Dude what the fuck.” Jake was standing near your bed and shielding his face from any further assault, a pained look on his face. You gave him an incredulous stare at his reaction, not quite sure how he expected you to react to being vibrated awake by a stranger who had encouraged your death last night. “Make yourself useful.”
He was turning and leaving after that quick statement and you groaned, flopping backwards onto the uncomfortable mattress for a second before kicking up and out of the bed, following him outside before he got too far away and you were lost in the camp.
“You’re going out with Heeseung today.” He was explaining as you jogged to catch up with him, trying to ignore the stares and whispers from the other boys as you passed.
“Does that mean I get my knife back?” You were asking him despite already knowing the answer and he shot you a quick glance at the sound of your voice, looking away as you furrowed your eyebrows.
“First piece of advice, don’t ask stupid questions.” He was stepping forward towards a different tent than last night, holding the flap open with a raised arm until you got the hint and ducked underneath it with a muttered word of thanks. He followed behind you and you saw Heeseung and two other boys sat around the tent, gearing up.
Sunoo was there and he faltered for a second when he saw you, another look of guilt washing over his face as his shoulders tensed. You gave him a small nod but it didn’t seem to appease him in anyway.
The other boy wasn’t looking at you, instead focusing on the disassembled gun in his lap as he meticulously cleaned it and cleared his throat. His hands were fast and swift, no hesitation or question in his expression.
“They’re going on a run too.” Heeseung was speaking and you looked up at him to see who he was talking to, surprised to see him already watching you. “We are heading off in the other direction.”
You were nodding and fidgeting in place, not quite sure how to respond to him in a way that didn’t immediately showcase your frustration. You weren’t thrilled about going out into the world with no weapons and no clue if this guy had good intentions, maybe this was his way of killing you as quietly as possible. He obviously wasn’t expecting you to hunt with your bare hands so you weren’t sure why he was bringing you along.
Still, you didn’t bother arguing with him and after a few more minutes of prep you were following him into one of the trucks off away from the main camp.
“There’s a town about an hour away.” He was muttering eventually as he drove, the heavy rumble of the old engine almost putting you to sleep if it wasn’t for the aggressive way the truck jerked every time he amateurly changed gears. “We cleared it for food but at the time we weren’t thinking about other types of supplies.”
You were watching the side of his face as he spoke and he spared you a glance at your silence. “You think there’s still stuff left now?”
“Possibly but it’s worth a shot. There’s a reason you’re out here and not in Seoul just like us, a lower populated town means maybe less survivors passed by when everything went to shit.” He was sighing as he spoke but seemed hopeful as he tried to convince you.
He wasn’t wrong for the most part, you had traveled to a more rural area in hopes for less of the dead and more towns left undiscovered. You figured if this didn’t end soon then there would be no place left that wasn’t completely cleared out.
Heeseung was large and sturdy but you didn’t miss his sunken in cheeks and darkened eyes, clearly lacking vital nutrients and a healthy lifestyle. It wasn’t that jarring considering you hadn’t met anybody who was doing particularly well but being in a group with larger numbers certainly made things a bit more uneasy.
You took a second to study him as he drove, trailing your gaze from his black long sleeve down to his matching cargo pants. His weapon holster was tightly pulled around his thigh similarly to how yours normally sat and you were suddenly reminded how defenseless you currently were.
“How do you know I’m from Seoul.” You didn’t necessarily feel like talking to him anymore than you had to but if you were going to be stuck with him in charge of your life, maybe some small talk wouldn’t hurt.
“Riki.” He spoke bluntly but it answered your question considering the fact you’d spent most of the night talking to the younger boy after the tension between you had calmed down. “Nice to hear you actually talk occasionally.”
“Maybe I’m more inclined to speak with people who haven’t tried to kill me.” You were quipping back and he let out a small chuckle at your sudden change in tone, not taking any actual offense.
You understood why he had done what he did and he knew you understood but that didn’t mean you were happy about the way things had went down and were continuing to go. You didn’t want to be with them and that much was clear but at some point he had figured if you had somewhere to go, you would’ve put up more of a fight.
The truck jerked particularly hard around another turn onto a dirt road and he swore under his breath, yanking at the shift knob until it slightly smoothed out again.
He gave you an awkward glance out of the side of his eyes and you tried not to chuckle at his terrible manual driving skills. You figured eventually everybody would adapt to things they hadn’t needed to before but it was slightly amusing to know most of the world was desperately trying to adjust to things you’d always had available to you.
You didn’t bother telling Heeseung you could drive a stick shift better than anything else, having been taught in one back in high school. He didn’t need to know how good you were at setting camouflaged rabbit traps or that you weren’t half bad with a bow. Your skill set was better kept a secret until you could get as far away from this group as possible.
By the time you were finally pulling up to a small town, if you could even call it that considering it was just a few old wooden buildings and shops in a U shape, Heeseung seemed to have relaxed a bit.
“We’ll be in and out.” He was carefully instructing as you got out of the car and you nodded although you were feeling frustrated about having no weapon. “Stay close by in case you run into an issue okay?”
Despite your upset and undeniable feeling of vulnerability, the run was going smoothly for the most part. You were quick to enter buildings behind Heeseung as he checked for undead and you had actually managed to get a bag full of supplies that could help the group through the winter.
Your guard was lowering slightly considering you’d come across little corpses, the small town seemingly sheltered from the horror the rest of the world had been subjected to.
Neither of you talked much, the mission being at the front of your minds and you were thankful for the lack of distraction.
It wasn’t until you were on your fourth building, some old auto shop with a connecting garage, that you realized how mistaken you had been. Heeseung was still outside the front door, fidgeting with something old and rusty that you couldn’t quite place.
Whatever it was, he seemed determined to unearthed it from the weeds that had grown around it and you impatiently shoved past him into the store. He offered a small scoff as you pushed through but didn’t bother chasing after you or demanding you wait, also making the mistake of being relaxed.
The second you entered the shop and the door closed behind you, a small gap left open considering the door was also subjected to the growing nature that almost converted the entire building, you smelt it.
Throughout the many months you’d been getting accustomed to the apocalypse and all it’s trials and faults, you still hadn’t adjusted to the overwhelming stench that came along with awaken corpses. It was especially murderous when they moved in masses or were left rotting since the start.
“Heeseung.” You were calling out in a hushed voice, slowing down your steps and looking around the store with confusion. You ignored the fact it was the first time you’d said the boys name and how casually it slipped out, listening in to his small hum of acknowledgment from outside. “Do you smell that?”
You could hear him setting down the metal thing he was obsessing over and pushing the door open swiftly, looking at you with a worried expression.
Before he could speak or confirm your senses, you were hitting the floor with a shriek.
It took you a second to realize why you had fallen but the moment you started to think straight again you could feel the tight bony hand wrapped around your ankle, having dragged you down onto the dust covered floor. You sucked in a sharp breath and scrambled back the best you could, kicking at the walker who had gripped your pant leg.
You could see it now, halfway stuck underneath one of the fallen shelves and desperate in the way it’s jaws snapped around nothing.
You were still kicking it when you realized the groans suddenly starting up were far too loud to be coming from the single walker in front of you, understanding with a wave of panic that your shriek had clearly awaken whatever amount of dead it was that was causing such an odor.
“Fuck.” Heeseung was entering the store swiftly and rushing over to you, immediately stomping the rotted skull of the dead that was holding you with his boot.
Ignoring the amount of blood and brain matter that sprayed out on your face at his action, you accepted his hand and let him pull you up and off the floor.
There was no time to dust yourself off as you both heard crashing and groans coming from the connected auto garage, clearly full of dead that had been starving for far too long. They were pouring out in pairs from the small doorway and you and Heeseung stood frozen as you tried to think of a way out of this.
They were coming from both sides of the aisle, filling up the only exit route back to the open door and sufficiently trapping you in the store.
Your fingers were twitching and reaching down to your empty holster, cursing once you remember you had no weapons on you and turning your head to glare at Heeseung who was already watching you with a panicked expression.
His eyes shot behind your head and you almost jumped out of the way, expecting something dead and hungry behind you, before he was reaching a hand out to grip your arm and pull you with him.
You didn’t object despite your confusion and you followed him swiftly, groaning loudly when you understood he was leading you towards the back of the shop where a small maintenance closet was hidden behind some tool carts and brooms.
“Hurry up, help me.” He was shouting back at you as he started to throw things out of the way and you unfroze, helping him clear the way to the door.
You were spinning around once finished to see the hoard closing in on you, a flustered shout pushing past your lips. “Heeseung.”
“I’m trying.” He groaned, his leg propped up against the wall as he kept trying to pry open the old rusted door with all his weight.
Finally, he was stumbling back in your direction and you grabbed his arm to stop him from falling into the awaiting arms of the dead that were now only a few feet from being able to grab onto you. He was immediately catching his footing and ushering you into the closet before closing it tightly behind the two of you.
You sat with bated breath and you waited to see if it would hold, the bodies of the corpses smacking against it as they clawed and practically shrieked with hunger.
Heeseung was holding the doorknob tightly so it wouldn’t spring back open and although it was dark, flashes of light that managed to break past the dozens of shoes outside the door, revealed to you his fearful expression that didn’t help calm your nerves.
You opened your mouth to speak and ask him about what you were supposed to do but his eyes were shooting to your in a glare, his free hand coming up to cover your mouth as he shushed you.
Your eyes widened at the fact he was suddenly touching you, looking down at the hand over your face and then back up at him as he swiftly ripped it away and shook his head, gesturing to the door like you were stupid for trying to make any noise.
He didn’t look at you again as you furrowed your eyebrows in annoyance but nodded in understanding, realizing he wanted to wait until they had settled before showing any sign of life. They could definitely smell you and had no reason to give up, only driven by hunger, but you figured eventually something would come by and distract them.
Which gave you some hope that you could get out of here safe, not wanting to die stuck in a smelly auto shop closet with Heeseung, but you also let out a small sigh knowing you’d be waiting here for a long time.
For the first time since you’d been rushed inside the small space, you took a second to look around. It was tiny, so small that if Heeseung was standing straight and not bending slightly to keep the door held shut, his shoulder would be touching the other wall.
To make matters worse the opposite width wasn’t any bigger, the toes of your boots smushed against his with no room to scoot backwards or make less contact.
Eventually he was slowly letting go of the metal door knob, moving barely an inch every ten seconds as you both waited to see if they were going to suddenly rip the door open and devour you whole. It was clear after a few minutes that it was sturdy enough to keep you hidden behind it for now, you’re not sure you could say the same about the next few hours however.
Heeseung sucked in a much needed breath and leaned backwards against his side of the closet, his knees pointing out towards you in result.
He was watching you with a curious expression and you glared at him in silence, not sure if you were allowed to talk yet or if it would result in his large hand over your mouth again.
“In and out.” He was whispering it so quietly it almost looked like he mouthed it. You could still barely see him but you could hear the smile in his voice as he joked about your failed plan, the light catching his eyes as he peered down at you. “You good?”
You were nodding but shifting uncomfortably, suddenly remembering how close of a call you’d had now that things were calmed down enough for you to think properly.
“It really had me for a second.” You whispered back to him and shook your head, avoiding his gaze as you looked at the vibrating door. “I shouldn’t have let my guard down like that, it was stupid.”
“Then we’re both stupid.” He was muttering back and you tried not to be too curious why he was being so nice to you despite his harsh leadership within the group. “At least you weren’t alone.”
You were scoffing and shaking your head, his boot scooting forward towards yours in a warning to keep your noises at a low volume. He couldn’t exactly make out your expression considering you were placed lower than him and getting less light on your face but he could practically feel the death stare you were sending his way.
“It’s easier to be alone.” You were countering in a stern tone. “If I’m stupid alone I’m just dead but if I’m stupid in a group then I’m guilty. It’s on my hands.”
“It would’ve been on mine if you’d gotten bit back there.” He was cutting you off and you stopped abruptly, looking at him with parted lips. “But the same thing goes for if I die out here, if I don’t get back to camp, back to my family then that’s on me too. Not trying just because you’re alone isn’t an excuse.”
His tone was heavy now and you felt bad for getting him so frustrated considering how carefree he’d been for most of the day, possibly enjoying not having to direct orders and commands for a few hours. You imagine that if he was able to he would’ve stormed off and left you with his heavy statement.
Instead the two of you sat in the silence of what he had said and listened to the groans only a few inches away from your heads.
You were shifting suddenly and he looked back at you in question when you accidentally bumped against his stomach, not having room to move your arms anywhere.
“Is that why you lead them then?” You tried to keep your voice soft and questioning, not wanting him to mistake you for accusatory.
You didn’t want to fight with him again especially since he had saved your life not too long ago, potentially twice with his quick thinking to get the two of you into the closet.
“It just happened.” He was whispering back and his tone was slightly guarded. “We knew each other before and when.. everything went to shit they came to me one by one.”
“I was scared shitless, I mean sure I’ve chauffeured them around for a few years and I’d handle calling in our takeout orders but now I’m supposed to keep them alive?” He sounded flustered and you listened to him quietly, letting him talk.
For some reason it hadn’t occurred to you to wonder how long they’d known each other. They seemed comfortable and they worked fast and efficiently like they had experience with it but you’d seen similar things in groups who met only at the beginning of all this, being forced to learn how each other works to survive.
You briefly remembered Riki saying something about high school and Jay but you didn’t fully make the connection, maybe you just didn’t want to.
But listening to Heeseung so earnestly talk about the responsibility he carried as the leader and the eldest you felt a wave of understanding, immediately followed by the desire to run far far away from the inevitable care that comes along with a group this tightly knit.
“We left Seoul the first week in Jungwon’s old van.” He was continuing on and when you raised an eyebrow in question he was nodding in realization. “That’s the one who was cleaning the gun, he’s out with Sunoo right now.”
“How many more of you is there?” You hoped he didn’t think you were asking him in an attempt to get information on the group that would assist you in your escape, although you halfway were.
“Just Sunghoon, I don’t think you met him.” He was mumbling and you thought for a second before shaking your head.
That made a total of seven and a wave of fear washed over you at the thought. As of now you were leaving no matter what and as of now they weren’t going to let you just go easy, meaning in some form this was your opponent. Seven men who were capable and seemingly willing to kill you if necessary with the exception of one or two.
Heeseung’s silence made you think he knew what you were thinking and he shifted so he was standing again, no longer leaning against the wall.
This put him even closer to you and you held your breath at the proximity, only letting it out in a moment of shock when his hand was coming up suddenly and touching your face like it had earlier.
You were jumping backwards, at least as far as you could in the tight space and he was shushing you with furrowed eyebrows and a finger to his lips, glancing at the door in worry and then back to you as he continued what he was originally doing.
It took you a few seconds to remember the walker he had stomped on, to remember the blood and rotted skin that had splattered all over you.
Heeseung was gently wiping your face off with his hands, using his sleeves at times for the areas that were particularly covered. You felt your cheeks flush in embarrassment, his large hands stiffening for a second when he realized how awkward this situation was.
He was taking his hands away swiftly and clearing his throat, shuffling backwards again and avoiding looking at you. It was silent for a few minutes and you felt suffocated by it.
“You didn’t lose anybody.” You broke the thick air by speaking again and he flinched before looking down at you. “Since Seoul, did you lose anybody?”
His eyes flashed with something heavy and sad and you imagined he was thinking about his family, slightly curious why he had left without them and what had happened before the other boys showed up alone at his doorstep. Then he was shaking his head to answer your question.
“Then maybe you’re more fit to lead than you thought.”
——
“Was he scared?” Riki’s voice was ringing in your ear again and you groaned softly, leaning back on your pillow and trying your hardest to ignore his constant questions. “I mean, I’ve never seen Heeseung scared. What was it like? Did he cry a little bit?”
After a few more hours had passed in the closet, your suspicion was correct and eventually something passed by that caught a few of the undeads attention. The stragglers had wondered outside the auto shop and the rest immediately followed the noise and movement.
Heeseung and you had waited another half an hour just to be sure before slipping out finally, backs aching from standing straight and rigid for so long.
You’d gotten in the truck with the supplies you found earlier in the day and headed back to the camp, not wanting to risk your luck any further and needing to beat the night as the sun slowly set.
The boys had affectionately greeted the two of you when you arrived, or more so Heeseung as you hovered awkwardly behind and watched them all. You saw a boy you didn’t recognize and figured he was Sunghoon, finally having faces to all the names.
They all carried different expressions of worry and upset and you watched them scan his skin for injuries or scratches, eyes crinkling with relief when they saw he was safe and returned to them. Your heart felt heavy and your stomach turned as you watched the display of care and love towards each other.
You’d caught Jake’s eye for a second and he narrowed his at you, causing you to swiftly give him a nod and slink back into the RV you’d been assigned to.
The same RV that you were now groaning in as you listening to the young boy, the youngest boy as you had found out yesterday, talk your ear off with questions about what it was like to be stuck in a closest with his hyung.
“He cried like a baby.” You were muttering and he laughed softly before shaking his head, able to tell you were lying to him. “I’m serious, my shoulder was soaking wet by the time we got out of there.”
“You know you’re funny when you’re not glaring at me.” He was remarking and you scoffed softly. “The others don’t joke around anymore so I don’t either.”
He sounded younger than he looked when he said it, voice steady like he didn’t even process the weight and sadness of what he was saying. Maybe he’d already started to forget what it was like to be a teenager with no responsibilities.
For a second you zoned out picturing him before the apocalypse, a younger Riki wearing a school uniform and excitedly chatting with the older boys. Maybe he was shy or maybe he was just as talkative and mischievous as he seemed to get the few times you’ve talked to him.
You were abruptly broken out of your daydreams when you heard shouts coming from outside the RV, immediately sitting straight up in the bed and locking eyes with Riki as his widened in fear and concern.
As far as you knew, everybody had turned in for bed. Heeseung didn’t like any one leaving their tents after dark, a heavily suggested curfew seeming to be followed religiously and you couldn’t think of good a reason for the boys to be disobeying this.
You were standing up swiftly and making your way towards the small door, being stopped by a hand wrapped around your arm.
Riki was shaking his head with a panicked expression, pushing you back into the RV. “What are you doing? You can’t go out there.” His voice was urgent and he took a step between you and the door.
His protective expression was making you feel sick and your expression turned stony, moving to push past him but stopping as the door was flung open without either of you touching it.
Sunghoon was stood panting, looking up at you guys from the surface level. He took a step up the RV’s metal steps and glanced behind him with a hard look on his face. Now that the door was open you could hear the shouts louder and also the groans that accompanied them.
“We have to go.” He was rushing out and your mouth parted slightly, looking between him and back to Riki who Sunghoon had been watching since he opened the door.
The younger boy was shaking his head as his shoulders dropped and you felt a wave of upset and guilt for him wash over you, knowing this had been his only home for the past year considering the fact he wasn’t permitted to runs as often as the older boys.
“I’m sorry Rik, there’s too many we don’t have any choice.” Sunghoon was shaking his head sternly but his eyes were soft as he looked at his friend. “You need to pack and we have to go, both of you.”
His eyes moved over to you hesitantly and he lost the affection in his gaze, you didn’t take any offense to it and nodded your head as he turned to rush back to help the others buy some time. You touched the younger boys arm and he jumped slightly before looking down at you with a heavy expression.
“Let’s pack your stuff okay?” You whispered and your unusually gentle tone just made him feel worse, curling in on himself slightly as he nodded and started to grab what little belongings he had scattered around the RV in an attempt to make it feel more like a home.
He was done quickly and you were getting ready to exit the vehicle and join the others when he was grabbing your arm again to stop you.
You almost turned to scold him for wasting time and not letting you go but stopped in your tracks when you realized he was holding a gun out in between your bodies, gesturing for you to take the weapon.
You considered saying no for a few seconds, knowing Heeseung and the other boys wouldn’t be happy with you for accepting and most likely would also scold Riki for giving it to you in the first place. The need to survive overtook this and you took the gun from him, nodding in appreciation.
The second you stepped outside you understood why the only option was to abandon the camp. The dead were pouring in from every side of the forest, their groans mixing together and attracting more and more every minute that passed.
Your eyes were darting around try and spot the other boys but you couldn’t see them in the chaos, feeling frustrated and panicked as you heard Riki’s breathing getting more strained from beside you.
Eventually you spotted Sunoo at the same moment he saw the two of you as well as he was rushing over to you with a serious expression, eyes bouncing around to check if it was safe to stop and talk.
“They’re out past the river.” He was explaining swiftly and you nodded despite having no idea how to get there. It seemed to make sense to the two boys however because they were quickly turning on their heels and disappearing into the woods, looking back a few times to make sure you were following behind them.
Sunoo was running ahead of both of you and your heart clenched watching him take out a few stragglers that were making their way towards the over run camp, his knife effortlessly going into their rotted skulls as he kept rushing through the woods.
Eventually the groans got quieter and you could hear the light splash of a stream, catching sight of the other boys huddled together before the saw you.
“They’re here.” Jake was announcing when he picked his head up and saw the three of you approaching. He stood up and rushed to meet you halfway, checking Sunoo and Riki for injuries before his eyes landed on you.
His gaze trailed down to the gun clenched in your hands and for a second you thought he’d take it from you, demand you leave or maybe try to kill you here and now so they didn’t have another thing to worry about. Instead he took a step closer and briefly scanned over your body, similar to the way he was doing to the others.
“I’m okay.” You breathed out and you weren’t sure why you said it, just wanting to get his concerned look off of your frame as soon as possible. He nodded his head but lingered on your for a second before turning and walking back over to the others.
You followed behind him to see what the boys were surrounding, watching as they all pointed at a crinkled map and spoke in hushed voices. They carried bags on their shoulders and you vaguely noted that Jungwon’s was full of the guns he was always taking such intense care of.
“We’ve been that way man.” Jay was sighing and shaking his head and he pushed Jake’s finger away and moved it further down the map. “From here to here it’s not clear, dead ends or there’s just nothing left.”
“Well we can’t go north.” Sunghoon was countering and you could see a large red X over the area he was referring to. You wonder how long they’d been planning an escape plan with no luck.
You listened to them talk for awhile with a sick feeling in your stomach, wondering if you should help and throw out the idea that was brewing in your mind. On one hand this was your chance to escape considering they had no home to even protect anymore, you could sneak out or hold the gun in your hands to one of their heads until you were far enough away that they wouldn’t follow.
This could be your only opportunity to be back on your own, not owing any sort of debt to a group that was dealing with their own conflict.
Riki was looking back at you suddenly with a worried expression and that thought was immediately out the window as you let out a small sigh, upset at yourself for what you were about to do, before stepping up towards the boys.
“I know a place.” You were rushing out and they all turned to look at you. Heeseung’s eyes were softening at your sudden want to help and you nodded at him. “It’s a few hours south but I stayed there for a few weeks before I kept moving away from that area.”
“You think it’s still there?” Jungwon was asking, his first time speaking to you directly since you’d arrived to their group. His voice wasn’t as harsh as his glare though and he seemed genuinely curious, not suspicious of your motives.
“It was gated.” You shrugged and bent down, bumping into Heeseung’s side and causing him to sway in his crouched position. You were touching the map and felt relieved to see the area you were referring to wasn’t crossed out or circled. “It might not be but it’s worth a shot. Plus we don’t have many options.”
“We?” Heeseung’s voice was soft from beside you and you turned your head to look at him, flushing slightly when you realized how close to each others faces you were.
“Yeah.. we.”

Hi Petri, soooo I just finished Dead man walking and already (not that soon though, cause I know you have many requests to get through) need a part 2 because this is my new favorite thing, I love it, you did amazing (as always <3).
You can do whatever you want for part 2 but I wish you could do a little scene where the reader is trying to figure something about her job out and Gally is there just staring at her, and how beautiful she looks when concentrated, and they're just flirting and having fun. Also please do a lot of Fry teasing them because I absolutely love it.
Yes, absolutely, I can.
Love my boy Gally.
Sorry I've been MIA.

MASTERLIST | GALLY MASTERLIST
PART 1 | PART 2
Tumblr media

WARNINGS: Inappropriate language, Frypan bullying Gally, awkward tension, you not being sure what to do with yourself, reference to Chuck's death. WICKED being WCKD because movie. Newt's dead. Rip.
Tumblr media
The past few weeks have been a blur of chaos and emotion.
You'd arrived at the Safe Haven. But, you were the only person left from the rebels.
Lawrence stormed the City, destroying and setting fire to everything, which was not the plan. And not something you agreed with.
You'd split off and made your own way through the City, managing to bump into Gally on his way to their escape ship. His group had taken some blows.
They'd lost Newt to the Flare. Teresa got swallowed by a burning building. Thomas had been shot. Minho had been deeply traumatised at WCKD's hands.
Life hadn't been easy on these kids. But at least they're safe now.
And so are you, even if you're permanently having some kind of identity crisis due to too much free time and losing your rebellious means.
But, hey, you've still got Gally, at least.
Well, sort of.
Things have been painful awkward since your kiss in the Last City.
It's no one's fault in particular. You've been moving a hundred miles an hour your entire life, and now you get shouted at for finishing your work too quickly, and you're not really sure how to deal with people when you're not bossing them around or being bossed around.
And, Gally is just generally terrible at feelings.
It's actually mildly concerning, sometimes.
Which has led to a weirdly tense friendship where neither of you really know what you're doing.
It's a painful watch.
And you kinda sorta forgot that Gally is still a slightly awkward teenage boy with no experience with women.
It's definitely an experience; but on the bright side, you've become an honorary Glader. Sure, you don't understand the slang still, and you have to remember to not ask too much about the Maze or some of the people because you'll be met with several PTSD induced panic attacks. But, you've befriended them.
Minho is funny and sarcastic and incredibly tough.
Frypan is sweet, and also kind of funny. And he's an excellent cook despite what the other boys say.
Thomas is bold and determined, even taking a bit of a leadership role alongside Vince - even after his well-deserved break.
And whilst Brenda and Jorge aren't quite Gladers, you also like them quite a bit. Jorge reminds you of Lawrence in a way. He's rebellious and bold, but instead of cold and occasionally terrifying, he's funny and fraternal. And Brenda is kind of like you in a way, except she's playful. Which you have severely been lacking in the last few years of your life.
Yet, despite integrating into his friend group, his new home, his daily life - yours and Gally's relationship is still at a weird standstill.
So, you've decided to dive into work. Helping Vince is an easy way to clear your mind, and helping out people who've suffered under WCKS's hands is kind of your speciality.
You prepare blankets, clean, help Frypan in the kitchen, help with building plans, settle petty disputes; you name it, you do it.
And that's something Gally has always admired about you.
"Oi, shank, you're starin' again." Frypan says, snickering as he sits next to Gally, the light from the flames bouncing off his face.
Bonfires are an almost nightly occurrence at the Safe Haven. A celebration of their freedom and security. But, it's a bittersweet experience for the remaining Gladers. Memories of happier times dance in the fires of community. They always thought escaping the Maze would be the end, but they often find themselves remembering simpler times.
You don't share the same heartfelt irony.
"I'm not starin'." Gally grumbles back, yet his eyes still linger on you.
You walk around, handing out drinks and occasionally adding to the fire, making small talk; mainly with Vince, Thomas, and Brenda. You also occasionally take grimances sips of Gally's special brew - another festivity bought from the remains of the Maze.
"Uh huh, sure you aren't." Frypan chuckles as he sips his drink, a beat passing between the boys. "I don't get it. You guys kissed. Like, you kissed an actual girl. And now... what?"
Gally sighs, dropping his head as he speaks in a grumbled tone. "I... I don't know, man. She's... she was my boss. She saved my life. You know she found me in the Maze and-"
"And did everything to patch you up. Took you under her wing. Yeah, yeah, we know, we get it." Frypan rolls his eyes, knowing the story off by heart. "You clearly care about her, so why not actually doing something about it?"
"She hasn't done anything about it."
"Uh, yeah, she did."
"When?"
"When she shuckin' kissed you, slinthead."
Gally falls silent for a moment, eyes landing back on you. It's everything about you; your hair, your eyes, your smile, the way you hold yourself, your passion - everything.
"...I don't wanna shuck it up, Fry."
Frypan's eyes land on his friend, the teasing tone slipping away as he looks at him. "Huh? What do you mean?"
Gally anxiously taps his foot, eyes lingering on you again. He looked at you like you were a Goddess and him a feeble insect, blessed to be in your mere presence.
"Gally?" Frypan presses him, brows starting to furrow in worry.
Gally has never been good with words. He's aggressive, and scary, and dangerous. Even if he has learnt to forgive and become more humble thanks to you, it's not like he's become an expert at this. And now he has...
Feelings.
Ew.
He sighs, running his fingers through his short hair. "...I messed everything up back in the Maze. I was scared, and I acted on my own. I tried to hurt you guys, and I..." He trails off, the sound of the gunshot and Chuck hitting the floor still burnt into the back of his retinas. He shakes his head, clearing his throat. "I don't wanna mess this up, too."
Frypan looks at him for a few seconds, before smacking him on the back of the head.
"Klunk-! Fry! What the shuck, man?" Gally grumbles as he rubs the back of his head.
"Are you hearing yourself, shank?" Frypan leans forward on his knees. "That girl over there brought you back from the dead. She saw the potential in you and made it work. Without you, we would've never been able to save Minho, we would've never stopped WCKD - hell, we probably wouldn't even have made it here, man. Get a grip. You ain't that same sissy that spent his time buggin' out around the Glade, terrified of change. You're a hero and a rebell who risked his life for change."
Gally looks at his friend, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"And the only way that you're shucking this up, is if you sit you shank-ass here and do nothing." Frypan continues, letting the statement hang in the air for several moments.
Gally nods, churning the words over in his head.
"I'm right. Am I right, or am I right?" Frypan grins.
Gally snorts, shaking his head slightly. "You're right."
"'Course I shuckin' am." Frypan grins, patting his long-time friend's back. "Now, are you gonna sit here, wasting your breath yappin' my ear off - or are you gonna go get your girl?"
Gally struggles to hide the smile playing on his lips.
His girl.
He likes the sound of that.
"I'm gonna get my girl."
Whilst Gally gets his heart to heart (lecture) from Frypan, you've taken to cleaning up cups and desperately trying to stop drunk people from falling over. It's not a pleasant way to spend your evening, but it takes your mind off your boredom and constant speculation about your relationship with Gally.
"Hey, Boss." The familiar voice pulls you away from your thoughts, landing on the broad boy.
"I told you you don't have to call me Boss anymore, Gally." You roll your eyes slightly, continuing to pick up glasses.
"Yeah, sorry, force of habit." Gally rocks on his heels, anxiously looking at you.
"...You good?"
"Uh, yeah - uh, can we talk?" You raise an eyebrow at his words, a bubble starting to form in the pit of your stomach. "Like.. in private?"
"Sure. 'Course. Uh, wanna walk along the beach?"
"Yeah." He smiles slightly. "Sounds good."
You put the glasses you've collected down, nodding for him to follow you as you both head towards the waves, starting to wander as the waves just miss lapping up your feet.
Gally doesn't look at you for a while. His eyes fixed on the endless sand ahead of him; it's a heavy silence.
You don't push him. Sure, you spent months pushing him to his full potential. But when it came to talking, it was better to let Gally take his time.
After about ten minutes of walking, he finally takes a deep breath. "So, uh... I spoke to Fry.."
"Oh, yeah? What did he have to say this time?"
"He basically called me a useless slinthead." He chuckles dryly, glancing at you.
"Slinthead? That's like a dickhead, right?" He grins slightly; you're still getting used to the dumb slang of the Glade - it really doesn't help that every group of Maze escapees has their own set of personal curse words.
"Yeah, basically." He chuckles.
"...why'd he call you a dickhead? Sorry- slinthead."
He can't help but shake his head at you, that smile still on his face. "Well, uh, I've been a massive diaper-klunkin' sissy, basically."
You blink. What the fuck does that even mean?
He laughs at your confusion before composing himself, stopping to look at you, which makes you stop, too. You face him, brows furrowed slightly as nervousness starts to feel heavy through your inside.
"...remember before the Last City fell? When you kissed me?"
You freeze, embarrassment heating your face as you'd began to start cringing at the memory when you fall asleep. "Honestly, I thought you'd forgotten that." You attempt to joke to lighten some of the tension.
He scoffs. "Yeah... I've been a bit of an idiot." He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. "I just... I was worried about ruining things between us, yanno? I'm so used to messy everything up and-"
"You don't mess everything up." You interject, immediately prepared to defend him against himself.
"Yeah - I know; Frypan already gave me the lecture." He grimaces slightly, almost like he's cringing at himself. "But... I like you. Like, I really shuckin' like you. And... we're safe here. I wanna stop being such a pussy and just..."
It takes a second to sink in what he's saying, your skin feels warm and tingly, butterflies erupting in your stomach. "...just?"
"...I just wanna ask you if... you'd... like to be my girlfriend?" His confidence falters with every word, voice raising in pitch, scrunching his face as he finishes his question in embarrassment. "That sounded shuckin' awkward." He sighs. "Listen-"
You don't listen, because he has no time to speak. Adrenaline takes over as you step towards him, hand coming to cup his cheek as you press your lips against his once again.
The kiss is short and sweet as you pull away, meeting his half-lidded eyes and wide grin. "Take that as a yes?"
"Yes, Gally, I'd love to be your girlfriend. Took you fuckin' long enough."
He snorts. "Yeah, yeah." He leans back in, kissing you again, this time deeper and with more passion, his fingers creeping around the back of your head and into your hair.
"Shuck yeah!" Both of you pull away from each other, seeing Frypan shouting from half way down the beach. "Told you she's your girl!"
You look at Gally. "The fuck is he on about?"
"...Don't worry about it."
Tumblr media
So, I'm back.
Again.
And back with a part 2, nonetheless. Sorry for vanishing, lads, I've had some wicked lack of motivation and I feel like a bit of a dick about it.
Yanno... since it's been literal months.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed :))

masterlist
Tumblr media
living in the same apartment building means it's super easy to have SLEEPOVERS!!
Butters usually joins you, but he said he was feeling under the weather today :(
just dance is a MUST
Kyle and Kenny get really into it
Stan definitely is the type just to move his arm
"why are you guys doing the legs too, it only tracks the remote"
"it tracks you SPIRIT too Stan that's why you're fucking losing"
"you're literally in last place Kenny"
the night always ends with a funny or scary movie
but tonight when you're setting up, a notification interrupts you
Tumblr media
Four phone's simultaneously erupt in the iconic bird tweet, screens around the room lighting up with the same words:
ALERT: Villain activity has been spotted in the park! Unknown plants with spiked teeth have sprouted from the ground and have begun eating local teens.
I went to grab my phone, squinting to see the words from the bright screen in the dark room.
"Dude, what the fuck-"
"I HAVE TO GO WATER MY PLANTS!" Kenny suddenly shouted, running out the door before any of us had a chance to react.
I turned to look at Kyle but he'd already gotten up from the couch and was lacing up his shoes.
He looked up and met my gaze, giving an apologetic smile before standing, "Sorry, yn, I just remembered I've got a paper due tomorrow and I've got to finish a few paragraphs still." He explained, rushing out the door in a similar style to Kenny.
But Kyle finishes his papers a week before theyre due. why would he still need to write a few paragraphs?
"Do you know what's up with them?" I asked, turning to the kitchen where Stan was making popcorn. Well, was as in past tense. By the time I turned to the kitchen, Stan was gone with a bowl of popcorn sitting on the counter.
Hearing the doorknob turn, I whipped my head around to see Stan halfway out the door.
He paused with one foot out when he noticed my eyes on him.
"uh…" he trailed off, searching for the words for his reason, "We'll do this tomorrow! bye yn!" and with that, Stan Marsh shut the door and I was sitting alone in my apartment.
What the fuck just happened?
Without anything else to do, I decided to put on my shoes as well and investigate what was happening in the park. I had a youtube channel to run, after all. And who knows, maybe I'll get some good superhero shots tonight!
Halfway to the park, my wish comes true. Through the sky, a blur of color speeds through the air.
That’s got to be Human Kite!
I pull out my phone and aim it towards the sky, zooming in on his face as he looks down. Through the screen, I can see his eyes widen as his mouth moves in words I can’t hear. Suddenly, he’s nose diving towards the ground. I worry he’s going to crash but he pulled up at the last second and lands on his feet.
"You really shouldn't be in this area, we don't know how far the plant problem has spread." He holds up a hand to block your camera as he speaks to you. Human Kite always was more camera shy than the others. It was rare that you got a good shot of him during your on-site reporting.
God damnit, Kite, I’m trying to speak for the people here!
"That's exactly why I need to be here! how else are the people of south park going to know the true events!" You refute, moving the camera above his hand to refocus my frame.
Down the street, a plant burst through the concrete, purple and green spotted head screaming at an ear piercing volume. The head lunged at a teen trying to escape on their bike, cutting off their cries of terror with a single chomp.
“See that! That’s the type of truth the people of South Park need to see!” I exclaimed, leaning to the right to zoom in on the plant happily crunching on the teen as muffled cries of “oh god!” and “Why, Jesus! WHY!” echoed down the street.
Human Kite stepped to the right, blocking my frame, “I’m serious, this area is extremely dangerous. You need to get as far away as-” The jaws of a mutant plant closed around him before the sentence could finish. I scrambled away from the plant, clutching my phone close to my heart in case it attempted to beat out of my chest.
“NO!” A shout sounded from behind me. I spun with my camera to catch Toolshed rushing down the street with a weed wacker in hand.
“KY- I MEAN KITE, HUMAN KITE!” He stuttered, likely due to the stress of watching your partner in crime fighting be eaten by a giant piranha plant. It was at this point he noticed you standing there, camera still held up to catch his expression shift.
“Uh- Civilian! You need to get back!” He said, holding out an arm between me and the plant to push me back. I lifted my arms to keep my shot clear.
“No, no, it’s alright! I’m just here to film this for the town! I’ll just be back here, this camera has a great zoom.” I flashed the snazzy camera setup in his direction before refocusing on the plant that ate Kite.
Toolshed opened his mouth to protest but before he could, Professor Chaos emerged from behind the plant, maniacally cackling with arms outstretched as if to bask in his own villainous glory.
Wow, this is a great shot. The people are going to love this.
I focused my camera on the villain as he began to speak.
“That’s right! I’ve captured the Human Kite within my carnivorous plants! And soon you will all be-” Chaos stopped his monologue as our eyes met. The devious smile shifted to a wide grin as he waved a tinfoil wrapped hand, “oh hey yn!”
I gave a quick wave back, “Hey Chaos!”
“Chaos? Oh yeah, CHAOS!” Professor Chaos snapped back into action, strutting around the plant which held the Human Kite as if it were the prize pig at the fair.
“This is some of my best work yet! Months of experimenting have allowed me to develop the perfect containment for you stupid heroes! And soon, you’ll all be nothing but plant food!”
A flash of darkness crossed my vision to my left.
“You’ll never get away with this, Chaos.” Mysterion crouched atop a boulder, deep voice reverberating through the air.
Holy shit it’s Mysterion! The viewers are going to love this!
The statement only made Professor Chaos laugh, “Never get away with this? But I already have! Half of the town is being digested in my plants of chaos and the other half is soon to follow!”
God damn, this is good. I can’t wait to tell the guys about this!
Tumblr media
After professor chaos is defeated (like always), Mysterion leads to back to your apartment, chastising you for getting in the middle of another hero/villain altercation
At this point, you know the whole script he goes through about how “it’s really not safe” and “you can’t just run into a fight between superhumans”
And you nod and say you’ll never do it again
But you totally will
The next day, you tell the guys all about it
But they all seem super tired for some reason
You asked Kyle what paper he had to write so suddenly and he responded that he wrote a philosophy paper’s due date wrong in his phone and only noticed when the Call Girl notification went out
Seems a little sketchy but okay
At the end of the day, they’re your friends and you love them
You all make plans to redo your sleepover that weekend! And Butters is able to come this time since he’s feeling better!

(Undead AU Masterlist)
Not to suddenly kick down the (not even closed) door on this AU, and I don't even know how canon this idea will end up being to the AU in the long run, but I was just thinking, and I'm not sure if this counts as body horror or gore, but uh...
I kind of want Makoto to get seriously, permanently injured, taking care of his classmates.
Like, the thought I had was, one of them bites his finger off.
(It has to be one of his classmates, for the angst.)
Bonus points if it's after he's found out about Nagito killing reserve course students.
Makoto's class is getting rowdier and more feral, because he hasn't been accepting food from Nagito, so they're stuck with whatever animals he's able to hunt. And even running himself ragged for hours at a time, it isn't enough. They're all hungry. It's two weeks until the next delivery from outside, and they're hungry. He brings in a crane, they pick it clean in no time, they're all still hungry. (He's hungry, too.)
But that isn't when it happens.
(That would vindicate Nagito's human-hunting a little too definitively.)
Eventually, he finds a spot on campus where he hasn't hunted much, and animals still show up there. He's able to bring back enough for everyone to eat a decent amount.
It's a long walk from the classroom, but he can do it, if it keeps them fed.
They get irritable when he leaves, especially now that he's been staying out longer, but he has to do it.
There are a lot of ways it could happen. Maybe he's trying to get a bone out of someone's mouth before they choke. Maybe someone is trying to eat something rancid. Whatever the case, he's doing something that would normally be reasonably safe for him, but his friends have been so on edge (and maybe his reflexes are dulled by hunger and exhaustion) and he gets a finger bitten off.
(It has to be someone other than Junko who does it. I'm thinking Byakuya, Sayaka, Leon. Someone he's close to, who will feel really bad about it.)
Makoto cries out in pain, and the classroom just devolves into chaos.
Nagito gets a frantic knock on his door, which he hurries to answer.
Hina doesn't even wait for his surprised look to settle; she just picks him up and runs back with him.
Nagito's heart is pounding, as he wonders what could have happened. Makoto must be hurt, for Asahina to be this frantic.
(Because he was grabbed so quickly, he wasn't able to shut the door behind himself. Fuyuhiko, Mahiru, and Akane follow Hina. Peko follows Fuyuhiko. And a few others just escape; he'll have to find them and herd them back later.)
No one has escaped the 78th class's room, despite having the opportunity.
He can't see Makoto at first, but he can guess where he is. Ogami is definitely protecting something, not letting any of her classmates near it– even Kirigiri and Togami, who are making genuine efforts to get close.
Asahina sets Nagito down, and he hurries past Ogami (She allows it.) to find Makoto curled up in a corner, barely awake and bleeding from what remains of his finger.
He's lost a lot of blood.
Nagito hurries to the classroom first aid kit. The part of him that isn't alight with panic manages to feel grateful that Hope's Peak saw fit to complement his pre-existing knowledge of first aid with more specific information on treating major injuries like this.
He needs to stop the bleeding. He needs to clean it. (Already, too much time has passed without anything to prevent infection.)
Even just taking hold of the hand that lost the finger gets pained sobs out of Makoto. Handling the injury itself is miserable work for both of them.
Even so, it takes Makoto alarmingly long to register that he's there. He's already partway through bandaging him by the time eye contact is attempted.
"Hey," Makoto says hoarsely.
(It's maybe the second or third time they've spoken since he found out the truth. Their last interaction wasn't hostile, but it was strained.)
"Hey," Nagito says. Then, "No, no! Stay awake. Don't pass out."
It's really bad for him to lose this much blood. Nagito knows he hasn't been getting enough food. It's amazing he's been keeping his class fed.
Makoto whimpers as Nagito keeps bundling the injury.
"I'm sorry," Nagito says. "I know it hurts, but I can't just leave it as is."
"It's okay," Makoto says. "Don't be scared." He sounds delirious. Not entirely present.
"Stay awake. Keep talking. How have you been?"
"Missed you. Um, did you see my finger, or did they swallow it?"
"I don't know. I hurried right over. Regardless, no one here knows how to reattach it."
"I know. I've just...never not had it before?"
Nagito smiles despite himself. "If I see it, I'll be sure to save it for you."
"Thank you. Thanks, Nagito."
The fact that he said it twice makes Nagito slightly misty-eyed, which isn't normal for him at all. "Of course. I'll take care of everything. Don't worry at all, okay?"
"I'm okay. Just need a little rest."
"No. Just sit here. I'm going to bring you something to eat. Mahiru, make sure he doesn't pass out while I'm gone."
Mahiru's path to them is momentarily blocked by Ogami, but the kouhai subsides after a sufficiently stern look from the former.
"I'll be right back." Nagito cups Makoto's cheek with a bloodstained hand. "Just wait here."

His Frail Yandere!Victor Creed x Reader
Chapter One
Series Masterlist -> Here
Summary: After being kidnapped by a group of mutant haters, you find yourself lost in the wilderness. What you don’t know
Tumblr media
Hands bound, eyes blindfolded, legs weak. That’s how you woke up. You lay on metal and from the way it rattled and thundered, you deduced it was some sort of vehicle.
Voice, you heard voices. Men’s voices to be precise. Their words were muffled through the wooden wall separating the main cab from the back, where you lay helpless.
You mind drifted to how you’d got here. Tied up and bruised. Then you remembered. You had been ambushed.
The quiet town you lived in was extremely small. Everyone knew everyone. There was one bar, one school, one store. With the low number of residents there only needed to be one.
You and your mother had lived apart from the rest of the town. You lived deep in the woods where you could be free. In the natural oasis you could be yourself. Be free to express your mutation. At the very least you were a mutant.
You knew from your longer than average nails that grew thick and sharp, from your almost enhanced sense of smell and speed, from your very slight healing factor and of course your agility.
You could dart between trees, jump from trunk to trunk and outrun anyone who chased you. Your mutation was almost catlike.
For the majority of your childhood you’d been kept isolated by your mother. She feared the others in the town wouldn’t take kindly to mutants. She couldn’t have been more right.
When you were a teenager and more in control, you were allowed to go back to public school. You were treated as the outsider by your fellow classmates. They pointed out your differences and mocked you for them. Like how you weren’t the most socially developed person, having only spoken to one person for a large chunk of your life.
Regardless you’d made it through high school. Your senior class was ready to graduate in a couple of weeks. Class time became free time as students enjoyed their break from finals.
One day after class you’d been approached by some guy. He’d spoke briefly before trying to kiss you. You pushed him away. That made him angry, which in turn caused him to lunge for you. Lightening quick you were able to move away, to dodge his attacks and land a few of your own. It only took a few for the guy to become winded and hurt. Your strength clearly more than he expected. More than you expected.
What you didn’t know was that word had spread. A few of the locals got together and worked on theories. They’d seen your nails, your strength, your reflexes. They had put it together that you were a mutant.
A few nights later there was a knock at your door. You’d just been for a run in the woods. Wearing shorts and a sports bra. You were about to take a shower, but instead chose to stay in the living room. Incase the stranger at the door brought trouble.
Those same men who feared you for your mutant abilities had come to your door. They made threats to your mother through the doorway, wanting you to come out. She refused of course, blocking their way with her body.
As one tries to get past, another knocked your mother down. As she got up they knocked her down again, causing her to fall and hit her head. The sight made you scream out as you tried to get to her. Only to be restrained by two of the men. Together they outnumbered you.
Soon they realised she was dead. That’s when chaos ensued. Some of the men realised what would happen if anyone found out. Others thought they should torch the place. But the leader, who you found out was John, had a different plan.
“Let them come, let them investigate,” his eyes drifted to you. “They’ll find the town recluse dead. It looks like an accident. She tripped, she fell, she died.”
The man holding you spoke up, “What about the girl, if she’s dead too they’ll definitely think somethings happened.”
John sighed, eyes closed in thought. Then they flicked open, a grin growing in his face. “Then we take her away. Somewhere they wouldn’t look. We kill her there.”
In the last few days you’d travelled in the back of what you assumed was their van. You had no idea where they were taking you, but it wouldn’t matter much if they were going to kill you there anyway.
In the days that past you wet your blindfold many times. Thinking of your mother and her lifeless eyes. How no one would find her for days if not weeks. How you wouldn’t be there to make sure she was taken care of. You could only hope someone from town would be kind enough to do that.
After what felt like a hours after you woke up, the van finally stopped. The doors to the cab opened and you heard footsteps. Then the back door opened and you were jerked to stand and walk out the van.
Your blindfold was removed and your roped were cut. Now you could see John in front of you. Flanked by two other men with guns in hand.
The land around you was covered In white, snow. The trees barren of any leaves. Just days ago you were home where you were sure it was the greenest summer you’d ever seen. Here there was no indication the sun reached the trees, or the ground. The snow remained despite the sun in the sky. There were no marked paths, you weren’t even sure if there was a main road. Just barren trees and rocky peaks. They too covered in snow.
“I’m going to count to thirty okay? And you’re gonna run. After thirty me and my boys are gonna hunt you down and kill you. You hear me?” John all but shouts in your face. You nod hastily. Legs feeling almost like jelly as adrenaline fills your body.
With your limbs free and eyes open you’re ready to go whenever. There’s always the chance that he’s lying to you. That as soon as you turn around he’ll shoot you in the back of your head. You can’t not try though. You want to live.
“One.”
You legs push you forward with almost inhuman speed. You dart through the trees, weaving around them to try and throw off any shooter. You push on to your right. The ground inclining as you start to run up a hill. It becomes clear after a minute of running that you are not dressed for the cold. Your spandex shorts and sports bra do nothing to keep out the cold. Your feet are bare and the snow numbs your toes.
You try to focus on putting distance between yourself and the three men hunting you down. Now as you look over your shoulder, they seem to be out of sight. That doesn’t mean you can put your guard down. So you keep pushing your body to keep working.
Despite your enhanced hearing, it’s only slightly better than average hearing. So you miss the words exchanged by your captors.
They two men look confused as John gets back inside the cab.
“Aren’t you gonna follow her John?” One asks as he gingerly follows and sits in the van.
John waves a hand, “It would be a waste of my time and a waste of my bullets. She’ll die out there in that cold. There isn’t a town in sight for her to run to. She’s stranded.”
While he was right about the cold, he was wrong about the woods being abandoned. In fact it’s only inhabitant crouched nearby, listening to their conversation. He’s picked up their scent as they drove up the road. He was hunting nearby and it had messed with his senses.
He’d smelled the three men of course. But mixed with that he’d smelt something more interesting, he’d smelt something sweet, something innocent. There were no harsh smells tarnishing this scent, except the abundance of fear that lined it.
He was sure you were a mutant. More than that he was sure you were his frail. A creature destined for him, like a soulmate. Only this was more primal. The beast in him was tied to you. Wanted to claim you and mate you and own every part of you. He wanted to make you his.
But first he wanted to take care of these three men. He’ll do so with great pleasure.

hi!!! thank you so so much for this, a few months ago i couldn't even imagine being so active in the tumblr community again, let alone anyone's favourite anything!!!!
i've been very fortunate to receive the warmest of welcomes back to tumblr after a 7-year absence, and i've received so much support for my writing (and my shitposts lol) that this whole experience of finally joining the good omens fandom has genuinely given me a newfound confidence in my creative self, and in myself as a whole💙
in terms of the blogs that make me happy to be here... they are many!!! i shall put the rest of this post under the cut
