i have not seen anyone talk about this but I think about it every day/srs
The first thing Ponyboy says in (book) Two-Bit's character description is "Two-Bit Mathews was the oldest of the gang" and later specifies that he's 18 and a half. Darryl is 20. Ponyboy does not consider Darry part of the gang at the beginning and it absolutely tears me apart.
I also like how out of all of them Darry's character description is first (other than Ponyboy) Because to get the deeper meaning of this book you really need to see their dynamic and understand it, I really appreciate that we learn how Pony feels about him really before anyone else.

Someone consistetly manages to come out of left field with some comparatively nothing problem every time in the middle of some completely unrelated crisis somehow; to an almost comical degree if not. More annoying than anything. The whole 6 months I spent on the verge of being evicted and/or having a psychotic episode as a result someone at work was lecturing me about not cleaning the kitchen well enough.. what are you supposed to say to someone who's biggest concern is a bad yelp review in that situation. It is simply not possible to convey how incapable I am of caring about dust. At the moment

Each drawing of them sleeping peacefully together fill me with a strange melancholy. The way Machete buries his head into Vasco says so much more about his love than his words, breaking down his icy sheild.
