ugh why do i do this, its literally 2:50 am when im starting this and 3:26 am when i finish.

When I was binding my plant book I spent about an hour digging around online to figure out which stitch I would use and researching the different binding methods to figure out what would work best.

I also wanted a good written tutorial for how to do the stitch i ultimately chose (the coptic stitch) because I do not like video tutorials. Unfortunately none of the written tutorials had exactly what I needed. Specifically none of them told you what to do if you ran out of thread before finishing the binding. Their advice was "make sure to cut enough thread from the beginning" which was not going to work for me. While there is a way to measure out how much thread you need, I would likely still need to know how to add more thread. My plant book is quite a bit thicker than the books being made in the tutorials. And I dont know if you've ever tried to hand sew something by hand and thought "ehhh ill just cut off a bunch and hope its enough to do this in one go," but it NEVER works out that way.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT VOICE. THAT IS THE DEVIL SPEAKING.

All that will happen is you end up with a giant tangled mess of thread that you can never untangle. And im pretty good at untangling threads but its a pain in the ass and just not something I would like to waste my time on. Not to mention the wasted thread. So I ended up having to watch part of a video tutorial to figure out what I was supposed to do when the thread inevitably ran out. And I told myself that the next time I did this, I would make my own written tutorial with pictures showing what to do and also showing how I reinforce the spine because I go a bit further than any of the tutorials I found.

Most people seem to choose the coptic stitch because they like how it looks and they keep the stitching exposed. While I agree that it looks good, I dont personally like the exposed stitching. I like people to look at my books and be surprised when I tell them I bound them myself. And making a book that looks professionally done accomplishes that. Also I prefer it over the exposed stitching, ALSO I don't use proper bookbinding thread cuz I do this on a budget with stuff I can get at walmart or already have lying around the house and covering the stitching helps reinforce it. I ultimately decided on the coptic stitch partly because it allows the book to lie flat when open, but also because every article I read on different stitches to use said that it was the most complicated one and I looked at that and was like "pffffttt cant be that hard." And honestly I think I was right. Its pretty straightforward.

So what youre gonna need is some paper. Personally, I like to take those sketchbooks that are bound with tape or glue and pull all the pages out. This way you also get a front and back cover.

Again, every tutorial was telling me to fold the pages with a bone fold, which is nice if you have one, I guess, but I do not, so I used the clip on the side of my mechanical pencil to fold the pages in half. If youre using regular sketch paper then you wanna make some signatures which is a group of 4 to 5 sheets of paper, folded in half, and placed inside each other. But for something thicker like watercolor paper, I just sew each individual sheet on separately.

Next, you're gonna wanna take the hard piece of cardboard at the back of the taped together sketchbook and cut that shit in half. I use an exacto knife but ive also used scissors for this in the past. I do not recommend using scissors. Its possible to do but not worth the hand cramps. And then BOOM you have the covers of your sketchbook.

Another thing most people tell you to use is an awl to punch the holes in the paper. Again, I do not have an awl. Nor do I have the money to buy one. At first, I just punched the holes in with a thumbtack but thumbtacks are tiny and after awhile your fingers start to hurt and you may start to lose your grip on it and its just generally a bad time. But, ya bois got a lot of sewing needles (I kept losing them for awhile there and would give up and buy new ones only to then find the pack I lost. So I have like 3 packs of sewing needles.

Thats not counting the ones my mom has also bought because she's done the same thing) and out of frustration from using the thumbtack I decided to try sticking a sewing needle into one of my mechanical pencils and seeing if it would fit and not just immediately push back in when I tried to use it. And what do you fuckin know?

It worked extremely well and I wish id thought of it sooner. I cut the time spent poking holes into the signatures in half and it doesnt hurt my fingers at all.

Youre also going to need thread, of course. I use embroidery thread cuz thats what I already had. Normally you should go for a thicker thread. Preferably a waxed thread. And most people would recommend using a curved sewing needle. This is the one thing im considering getting for myself at some point. You CAN do it with a straight needle but a curved one would definitely make some aspects of this significantly easier.

Now to start off, you wanna take your string and put it in the needle and fold it in half and tie the ends together and then

You wanna thread the needle through the first signature and then

Pull it up through the bottom of the first hole in the cover and loop it around twice and pull it tight

Then push the needle back into the first hole in the paper

And put it through the next hole in the signature

Then repeat that process til you get to the end of the holes. When you get to the last one start like you did with all the others but after wrapping the thread around the cardboard twice you get the next signature

And push it in through the first hole and back out the second (tbc)

ive been reading a lot of lit about child abuse & follow a few people who post about it & i cant tell if i get weird reactions when reading about particular kinds of child abuse because child abuse is very upsetting or if something happened to me i cant remember but like i start clipping through the floor and my feet go numb idk what the fuck is going on and also i think my mom mightve done something (not necessarily abuse but like something that i didnt interpret well) to me because ive hated her/felt weird about her and prefferred my dad since i was little. or maybe other way around. idk. i dont know who to talk to about this so thanks for ur open inbox

thank you so much for sharing this! im of course not in a place to tell you what happened or didn't happen to you, and i also don't know how you usually react to upsetting things so i don't know what your baseline is — i know for myself that i very rarely get that sort of visceral bodily reaction when i read about upsetting things i haven't experienced, even if they absolutely horrify me, it's a type of reaction that i know is triggered in me only by something at the very least adjacent to my trauma (so for example hearing about the horrors of war probably won't cause that in me no matter the ghastliness, but hearing about medical sexual abuse or cocsa is likely to cause that).

as for your mother, i don't know much about this sort of innate distrust, but i feel like anything could've motivated it, especially since it started in your early childhood: parenthood is incredibly difficult, she might've inadvertently hurt you or done something benign that scarred your baby self very deeply, or maybe she did actually abuse you as a young kid and your gut distrust stems from that, it can be very hard as a child to tell the difference between intentional and unintentional harm.

i really hope you can make some sense of what you're experiencing and that it brings you peace, it's what you deserve! i would recommend maybe easing off the readings that trigger this sort of physical reaction, since it can't be a pleasant experience, but of course you do you, either way i hope you're being safe. ❤️

Danny just before he passes out after Damian calms him down with the drawings: Why would you lie? Why would you make me love you? It hurts so bad. I thought, even if you were with the govenrment, that you were trying to be heroes. Sam was right, the Justice League are just as bad as the GIW.

And see, the family had left his background alone because Danny was clearly traumatized and it was the effort of months to get him to open up at all, even a little bit, so the fact that when they first took him in the only thing he asked of them was to "PLEASE don't look into my past i am begging you" and he was so fucking terrified when he asked that Alfred laid down the law about "dont you fucking dare violate his trust like that he will tell us when he is ready" made it that much more clear that they needed to be delicate about this.

So he passes out after saying THAT and after the freak comment, and there is silence for all of about 10 minutes before Damian very carefully says "We need to find out what the fuck happened to him and fix it. Now."

So they move him to his room and Damian sits with him in case he wakes up and calls Sam with his phone. "Hello, I am Danny's foster brother Damian Wayne. We did not know he didn't know about the family business and when he found out he... broke down about it. He is safe, we will not harm him, but he does not believe that and we do not know why. I do not beed to know why, that is for him to tell us. We do need to know what has him so terrified so we can work to fix it."

And Sam, who has listened to Danny go on and ok about how much he loves the Wayne family and how good they have been to him is super sus but sighs, cause Danny didnt have time between realizing they were the bats and his absolute breakdown to call his friends, decides that because Danny trusts them (she doesnt know otherwise) and because Damian is asking for the what and explicitly said he didnt want the why, says "Look up the Anti-Ecto Acts and the Ghost Investigation Ward, but be careful. They like to back hack and track down anyone looking into those things."

Danny wakes up approximately three hours later to Damian and Jason in his bedroom with him with all kf their weapons on clear display and their habds in clear view as well as the thermos and his preferred self defense weapon on his bed in easy reach of him and he just looks at them for a long moment before Jason says "i know it will be hard to believe, i am not asking you to trust us right now, i am asking you to hear us out before you leave, please. We wont stop you if you do and we won't follow."

And Danny is still terrified out of his mind, but he was willing to give his parents the benefit of the doubt until the second time they put him under the knife. He was still willing to try with a town that hated him. He was willing to try with parents who vivisected him once without knowing who he was. He was willing to try with a girl who had literally tortured him and a man who had done the same, who refused to give up on any of them until his parents put him under the knife knowing full well he was their son.

Danny looks at the two people he honestly was closest to in this new family, and he wants so badly to run, to leave and never come back. He wants so, so badly to cut his losses here, to take the chance to run, but his chest hurts and he doesn't understand why they haven't just turned him in. He doesnt-CANT trust them, so he takes up the thermos and clips it to his belt, then grabs his weapon and holds himself in a defensive position before finally saying, "why?"

And fuck the shine of Hope in Jason's eyes as Danny shows he isn't immediately running makes Danny's chest pulse with hurt and fear but also a responding, tiny kernel of his own hope that maybe things will be okay, that maybe he won't have to loose a second home and family. He squashes it ruthlessly, but he waits anyway as Jason takes a deep breath.

"When you asked us not to look into your past, Alfred put his foot down and insisted we heed your request, so we did. We knew you were a Meta, we knew it was liekly you had been through hell and back, and we knew your parents had more then likely been the ones to put you there. We left it at that, cause for as much as we are nosey assholes, we can learn, so when Alfred said to let you come to us we listened. We thought you knew about the Bats already, we thought that was why you were so adamant about not looking into you."

"We never pushed. We thought we knew what we needed to keep you safe, so we let it be. Kid, if we had known about the reason you were running in the first place, we would have rained hell down on the GIW long ago."

"I know you have no reason to trust us, we fucked up big time. You kept yourself safe and we missed something huge even before you came to us. Bruce is in the cave now, He, Tim, and Barbara are working with your friend Tucker to locate everything that the GIW has and take them down. Once we have the locations, Tim, Me, Damian, and Cass will be taking the bases out physically. We will not allow you to be hunted anymore."

Danny just looks at them for a long moment, then says, "Where were you before? Why didn't you come when we first called? When I had just fucking died and was trying to protect people and i called so many times. Where were you when the acts were being voted on, why didnt you stop them before?" And his voice is so quiet and broken and he sounds so painfully young. He is 17 but he has never looked smaller.

It is Damian's turn to respond. "We don't know, but we will find out. It has been three hours, we will ensure your and your people's safety first. Once that is done, we will find out why we failed you and we will do everything possible to keep it from happening to anyone else."

Danny is shaking as he holds tightly to his weapon and Jason and Damian sit still and calm, and Danny watches them carefully for about 30 seconds before his grip on the weapon relaxes and he is crying.

"Danny," Jason says softly, and Danny meets his eyes and he can't speak but, "I am so sorry."

Danny throws himself at Jason and /clings/ and he doesn't trust it yet but he /cant/ go through this again, he has to believe that they are telling the truth because his core is ready to crack from the pain and fear and he just. He just cant.

Fine line

Okay so we all know pre-reveal but already adopted Danny would question his whole life when he finds out about the vigilante life the Waynes are in but may I introduce you to:

✨Absolutely horrified Danny.✨

Basically he finds out that his seemingly normal family isn't so normal after all and due to the nature of the JL never responding to Amity calls he assumed that they were working with the government. This led to the realization that the family probably knows who he is (they really don't. They just think that he was a meta that doesn't want to deal with the crime-related life bs so they never brought it up) and they're probably in the midst of handing him to the GIW.

He's terrified, because god dammit he shouldn't have trusted a rich guy but he doesn't really have time to contemplate on his next move. Next thing you know Danny's holding a modified ecto gun that is now fatal to humans against Bruce.

The family is alert and ready to pounce on him, but they realized that Danny was shaking too much and his breathing was too ragged. His eyes are glossy and he's biting his lip like he's trying so hard to not drop the gun on his adoptive dad. Danny was having a panic attack.

USER FIZZTHELEE PULLING UP WITH ANOTHER TICKLE DREAM, AND HOLY FUCK ITS A LOT /POS

this is a lot of words to the point its just a terribly set up fic so props to you if you read the whole thing

Alright. So Tommy posts a new video, Sadly i don’t remember what it was called nor do i remember what channel he posted it on, but it was probably the Tom Simons channel. However i can remember the thumbnail, i just dont know how to explain it.

Anyways. This is everyone in the video:

Anyways. So what they’re doing in this video, it’s basically seeing who of that group can last the longest being tickled. I guess its not very fair that everyone would have 5 people tickling them, but still. In the dream they actually got through everybody, but it cut off & i woke up before Tommy and Techno’s turn. However i will end up saying how i think their turns would’ve gone!

So up first was..

*drumroll*

TUBBO! WOOOOOOO

so it’s Tubbo up first, and when Jimmy announces this (jimmy didn’t have a turn btw, i think he should’ve had a turn bc it isnt his channel that it was posted on) Tubbo has a look of dread, anticipation, and excitement. He tried real hard to make it look like more of dread, but it was really mostly excitement and anticipation.

Tubbo sits down in a comfortable enough chair that he won’t get hurt from squirming, and he is trying to prepare himself (kind of like how he did in the IRL ylyl back in october, like closing his eyes, breathing and doing that hand motion) as Tommy, Ranboo, Wilbur, Karl, And Techno crowded around him.

And then the second he opened his eyes he broke into giggles and his face flushed pink. Could you imagine that? Your sitting in a chair knowing you’re gonna end up being tickled, and you look up to see 5 people smirking at you and ready to strike.

Tommy and Ranboo had more ‘evil’ looks than anyone else in the room—they know Tubbo’s spots better than anybody, which made Tubbo even more giddy. Everyone teased him for being so giggly without them even doing anything, and when Tubbo least expected, everyone started tickling him. Techno at his knees, Wilbur on his neck/ears, Karl at his hips, Tommy at his sides, and Ranboo at his stomach.

My man SCREECHED and his anticipatory giggles turned into high-pitched laughter. He would be saying things like “NOHOHAHA!“ “STOHOHAHAP” “OHOH SHIHIHIT!” “TOHOHOMMY!” “RAHAHAN— FUHUHUCK KAHAHARL!”

Tubbo lasted about 5 minutes before making everyone stop. And next up, was Wilbur.

Now we all know from a certain clip from one of Ash’s vlogs that Wilbur can hide his reactions very easily, unless he doesn’t expect it and unless you get a certain spot. So this was going to be pretty embarrassing for Tubbo, as for he absolutely lost his shit the second everyone was just looking at him, and Wilbur is gonna show basically no reactions.

So Wilbur sits down exactly where Tubbo had sat, not preparing himself because he thinks he wont show any reactions. But the rest of the group is planning. It was more just Tommy warning everyone that Wilbur will probably be hiding his reactions and not to worry about it, because Tommy knows how to break him.

So they all surround Wilbur, and Wilbur just has a confident smirk on his face. So everyone, except Tommy, starts tickling him, and he barely even fucking giggles.

Tommy was behind the chair, waiting for the exact moment to strike, which was when Wilbur would say something about how he wont break.

“You guys won’t get me, i’m not tickliHIHISH- WHAHAT-? TOHOHOHOMMY!”

Tommy dug his fingers into Wilbur’s ribs, wiggling his fingers between each bone, pinching his top and bottom ribs. Tommy knew EXACTLY what to do to Wilbur, he’s his younger brother! Why wouldn’t he?

Techno was cheering and laughing at wilbur. He’d say stuff like “YEAH TOMMY GET HIM!”

Wilbur lasted two minutes longer than Tubbo.

Next was Karl. This should be less embarrassing for Tubbo! Karl is fucking insanely ticklish, and everyone knows it, even the mcyt / dsmp fandom.

When Jimmy announced it was Karl’s turn and gave Karl a knowing smile, Karl just fucking booked it for a hiding spot. But his hiding rendered useless as he was giggling like mad, so everyone found him pretty quickly.

Jimmy took him out from the hiding spot and set him in the chair. Karl prepared himself exactly how Tubbo did, but he just kept looking at the ground.

I think you know the drill at this point. Except Karl was a really big squirmer and kicker, so everyone had to fuckin dodge his legs and basically his entire body to avoid getting hurt.

As this was going on, Jimmy suddenly announced— “If your name starts with R, your going after Karl!” And he immediately looked at Ranboo. Soon after everyone was looking at Ranboo. Why did he agree to this?

But Tommy got nervous too— he might be going last.

Karl was being tickled for three minutes before he made everyone stop.

“Oh Ranboo!” Wilbur called with a playful smirk. (do you get that reference? a reference of my own fic was in my dream. Wow.)

Ranboo took Karl’s spot in the seat, his cheeks were a bright rosy red. He was thankful for the mask.

Tommy, Tubbo, and Wilbur all gave Ranboo that look that he and Tommy had given Tubbo when it was his turn. Again, WHY DID HE AGREE TO THIS?

Wilbur was crouched beside Ranboo, Tommy on his left, Tubbo on his right, Karl behind him, and Techno on the other side of Wilbur.

Once they started, Ranboo burst into loud cackles. He had three death spots being targeted at once— can you guess who was at each one?

Ranboo lasted a solid 8 minutes, mans has stamina.

Alright now for Tommy and Techno. These two, are just how i think their turns wouldve gone👍

Jimmy span a wheel on his phone(that’s how he’s been choosing who’s turn it is), and when the wheel stopped, he announced, “Techno!”

Techno took Ranboo’s spot on the chair, he was pretty calm about this. So they all took their places around Techno and without warning they started. But Techno had only let out light giggles.

Until Wilbur got to the sides of his back. Techno screamed and tried to lean forward to get away.

Safe to say he lasted 6 minutes.

Tommy skipped tickling Techno, as for he just wants more time to prepare himself. Everyone in the room knows how ticklish he is, they all know his spots. He has to beat Ranboo!

Tommy sat in the chair, he expected it so surely it won’t be as bad.

He infact was wrong, it took everything in him not to laugh. He definitely squirmed a lot more than he normally would, but anything to not laugh. Ranboo knew Tommy wanted to beat his time. And he was doing pretty well— 3 miniutes without laughing. So he did what any good evil person would do, and he drilled his thumbs into Tommy’s hips!

Which of course broke him, and he lasted seven minutes.

SEVEN. He spent another 10 minutes yelling at Ranboo

“Ill give you your puppies, Dabi” it brought a fangy smile to his face. Dabi pressed you on the wall taking you in and sniffing your neck making sure his scent was there. He was relieved he did not have to force you, he did not want to do that. You tried to stay calm and take in the situation; Dabi, your adopted werewolf pup.. Wanted to put puppies in you. It seemed like only yesterday he was running around the apartment begging you to take him for a walk.. His little hair clip on his hair so he could see.. His box bed… it was all gone now. This was your son now, an adult werewolf needing to breed and start a pack.

“Dabi..” you pressed your hands to his chest pushing him back, he growled moving back to look at you, he blew his hair up and out his eyes. “What?” he spat out just to go back to your neck lickign it this time.

“When...when do you want to leave,,” you shivered under his hot tongue , it was rough against your gentle skin, it felt like it left scratches almost.

“Now” he told you, pulling away to go grab a box and give you a look. “ i found a cabin, it was not empty, but it is now. “

You knew what that meant but you did not dare say anything. “Okay Dabi, do you want me to drive?”

“No, just hurry up, its going to take all day and night to get there” he told you, leaving the apartment with the box. You rubbed your face taking one final look at your home, looking in every room. Memories flashing before your eyes with each room. The night you found Dabi and brought him home, cleaning him up in the tub…. Being woken up by him at 5 in the morning to go running.. The excitement on his face when you dragged that big box into his room.. The blood stains on the kitchen floor you could not get out when he got into the bones. You sighed walking to the door taking one final look back before closing it forever.

The car ride was very quiet, no one was really talking and no one wanted to say anything. The radio had some kind of old news station on and it just made things thick between you and Dabi. was he going to be like this forever ? angry and closed off around you? You did not want that. What would happen when you have the puppies? Would he still want you there?

“Dabi..”

“I dont wanna talk” he told you, turning left and getting on the highway.

Slowly you pulled your bag up from the floor to open it revealing a baby book . you opened it up on your lap looking at the pictures instead..

It was an hour before he said anything, when he did he asked about the book. “Whats that?”

“Your babybook” you told him

“Who still has a damn baby book?”

“I had to .. buy it online, they dont exist anymore really but i wanted one for you.”

He leaned on the car door on his free hand while his other steered. “Well whats in it” he asked you , a little annoyed, his tail was swishing though.

“Well.. “ you went back to the beginning. “One of the first pictures is you asleep on the couch, it was the night i found you. You were all cleaned up finally.. “

“Fucks that mean?”

“Dabi you hated baths…” you chuckled a bit “i had to get in with you or you refused. “

“Pfft…”

“You were knocked out on the couch, on your back, one leg dangling off , your tail swishing and a paw on your chest snoring. And you had a pink hair clip in your hair.”

“Excuse me?!” he looked over at a stop light growling and you pointed to the picture.

“You could not see unless i did that. Even now you refuse to let me cut that hair.”

“What's wrong with my hair ?” he ran his claws through it to get it out of his eyes.

Your giggle made him smile a bit. You continued to tell him what was in the book on the ride, at every stop sign and red light he would look over at what picture you were talking about. He saw how happy he was as a puppy and how fast that smile on his face faded when he matured.

“I dont want to see anymore right now,” he told you.

“Okay. can we .. stop soon”

Dabi pulled into a gas station unlocking the door and getting out to lean on the car while you rushed inside to use the restroom. It was about 6 at night and dark, he had his hands shoved in his pockets and was hunched over while he waited.

You had finished up in the restroom and decided to grab some snacks and water for you and Dabi. He was thinking about the pictures trying to figure out when he changed , was it when he turned a certain age? When he got protective of you? Matured? He was not sure. He ran a paw up his tattoo looking up at the night sky taking in a deep breath.

“..” his head turned to the right and the fur on his tail stuck up.

“Dabi? I got us some sna”

“Get in the car.” his fur was growing .

“O-okay.. But whats wrong?”

“Just fucking.. Do what i say ..” he was grinding his teeth and trying to get his fur to go away.

You got in not saying anything but looked out at your son watching him huff and puff. He was snarling and let out a long howl. You saw two golden eyes disappear in the distance and Dabi got in the car speeding off.

“...Dabi…”

“I dont want-”

“Have you ever seen another werewolf before Dabi”

He hit the wheel and pulled over snarling at you. You reached over and grabbed his left ear at the tip and twisted it making him quiet down.

“Stop it. Bad boy.” you told him and he still gave you a angry look. “Have you or not” you asked again.

“..no”

“Okay” you let go of his ear and cupped his face. “ im sorry i had to do that. But this is one thing you cannot charge into. You could get hurt or worse, okay?”

Dabi took in a big breath and leaned into your hands mumbling. “I smelled him, i couldn't figure out what it was till he growled and.. I wanted to kill him, run off and kill him. If you weren't here i would have.”

“I know” you kissed his forehead. “But you cant have puppies if you do that and he kills you. So please.. “

“I know.” he pulled away, getting back on the road not talking.

It had been a couple hours, Dabi was still driving and you were asleep , he had taken his jacket off at some point to put it on you. He was hoping this would go smoothly, but it looks like that wont be happening,

we need to be friends lol cause ive genuinely seen people act like rhys doesnt care about those priestesses and that the library is a prison of sorts💀💀 the library is open for them to leave if they want to just like they did when nesta asked them to train.

ive seen people say rhys doesnt care about the illyrian females which is again bs. rhys literally outlawed the clipping of wings but tell me how is he supposed to change the beliefs of people like when the illyrian males say if the girls use swords they will bury them or those swords cant be use? how is he meant to change their minds? u want rhys to control the minds of his people? the very thing yall accuse him of? emerie already stated rhys changed the inheritance law of the illyrians allowing her to inherit her father’s shop which is a HUGE thing. the clipping was outlawed. it was brought back during amarantha’s reign when rhys himself was trapped.

as for lucien… fuxk that man. he WATCHED as his so called friend was emotionally abused for months. he was willing to drag her back to that god awful court. the only reason he didnt rat her out in acowar is because he wanted to see elain otherwise he wouldnt hesitate lol so genuinely fuck him. has he EVER apologised to feyre for what he did? or has he sincerely apologised to nesta and elain for what his silence inflicted on them? or did he ever apologise to rhys for all the awful things he said to him all those years? idc if u say rhys did his job well. rhys was being SAd for years and never has lucien apologised for calling him a whore.

also in acofas rhys clearly stated that he can never be nice to people who hurt feyre. hence his treatment of lucien and nesta. people may be like ‘but what about elain?’ and mind u in acomaf rhys told feyre it would be difficult to like BOTH her sisters because seeing them reminds him how young and alone feyre was. however, elain actually showed remorse. it was elain who in front of the three brothers and feyre accepted her own hand in feyre’s suffering for years and apologised for it. elain also showed more kindness to feyre afterwards in acofas and acosf. and mind u rhys was ALWAYS kind to nesta. if you idiots actually read acosf properly ud see nesta stating that but here it is for u people who have selective reading skills where nesta admits rhys is a good person and that rhys was always nice to her even when he hated her.

the quotes are from acosf so please look it up. nesta never thought low of rhys. it is YOU idiots who twist her words into something it’s not to fit your narrative. once nesta save’s feyre’s life rhys quite literally kneels in front of her and thanks her. rhys throws outrageous money for a wedding ceremony for nesta and cassian because he genuinely cares so much for her now. one act of kindness towards feyre and rhys would do anything to ensure that person is happy. FOR FEYRE.

rhys actually made so much changes in law that benefit the women and its even highlighted by cassian but people dont want to read that

ive seen people complain that rhys did little in 500 years and i wanna ask whether they actually read the book or not. 500 years ago was the War when his father was still alive and tamlin was a child. if u all forgot id remind u that tamlin was a grown fae male and well into his years seeing that he served in his father’s army and befriended rhys before he became high lord. rhys probably served no more than a bit over 200 years into his immortality and even then 50 years was spent utm. he still tried despite that.

in conclusion: read the books. i promise dont just read acosf and be like “oh rhys is so wrong!” and don’t say that the narrative for acotar is wrong because feyre is the mc. if that were the case then we can say the narration for acosf is wrong too lol. rhys never wanted to be HK. he’s content to only rule NC. he wants to make it better for his people.

also the elriel thing is obviously a set up for conflict in elain’s book because azriel has been set up to be her love interest. there needs to be a conflict as to why the two cant be together otherwise they’d be together in the first 5 pages and what are we reading then? lol. (in truth rhys saw the vision and obviously is on our side and wanted to give us a forbidden love trope. ik him u guys dont! i trust his vision)

in conclusion: go back to school and take your english comprehension classes again please. thank you. acotar is actually sjm’s simplest work and the thinkpieces people write over this shit is so funny😭😭 it’s also her worst work compared to tog and the intricacies of cc and is nth more than a romantasy and people still act like a fool over this.

Shit that Rhys gets hate for that never happened in the books or that are completely justified.

“Plotting to become High King.” Rhys has never stated that he wants to be High King and he’s actually said multiple times that he has no plans of becoming one. The idea was brought up by Amren and was shut down quickly by him. I don’t get why y’all are hating on him for it when he literally agrees with you?

“Trying to kill Nesta.” Sadly Rhys has never actually tried to kill Nesta. He threatened to (just like she threatened to kill her baby sister) but he has never done it and he even says that he would never hurt anyone Feyre loves. Quick question though. Nesta’s threat towards Feyre is excused with “she was just angry because her boundaries were being pushed” but why is that logic also not applied to Rhys? He was angry because his wife had a miscarriage thrown in her face. Yet these instances aren’t treated the same?

“Threatening to kill Nesta just because she told Feyre the truth.” The reason he threatened her was not simply because she told Feyre. It was because of how she told Feyre. She threw a dead child in her sister’s face (his child along with Feyre’s) and not only that but she blatantly lied to her sister and said everyone was just going to let her die in ignorance while knowing that that wasn’t true. If someone you cared about was told their child was going to die in the same manner that Nesta told Feyre would you be upset?

“Bullying Tamlin.” His bitch ass deserved it. What do you want me to say?

“Bullying Lucien.” He also deserves it. Seriously though what reason would Rhys have to like Lucien? He’s besties with the man who got his mother and sister killed, he’s the man who tried to force his mate back to her abuser, he’s the man who looked at Feyre with disgust for simply being a part of the IC. What reason do these two people have to like one another? Lucien disliking Rhys is fine but Rhys disliking him is bullying? Need I remind y’all that these are both two grown ass men?

“Forcing traumatized Priestess to work for him.” I didn’t even think people were dumb enough to hate on him for this but here we are. The library is not a prison for the priests who live there. It’s a sanctuary where they are taken to heal and they can leave whenever they are ready to. There are even counselors/therapists there to help them.

“Purposely keeping Nesta ignorant about her powers so he can control her.” If I remember correctly it was actually her who chose to refuse to learn about her abilities and it was her who threw a tantrum when they suggested that she starts learning again. The IC never forced Nesta to be powerless or under their control. She willingly refused to learn about her powers.

“Hating Nesta and abusing her because she didn’t bow to him.” I don’t even know how many times it’s said and shown that Rhys doesn’t enforce rank unless he absolutely has to. His own friends talk shit to him but you actually think he disliked Nesta because she did it? Maybe just maybe his dislike for her came from him watching her repeatedly hurt his wife? You can say he was wrong for defending Nesta against Feyre all you want but painting him out to be the bad guy for simply disliking a woman who hurt his wife is insanity.

Bonus: “Brainwashing Nesta to be happy with how everyone treated her.” This argument is just so unserious I don’t even know how to counter it😭.

“Degrading Azriel and forbidding him to see Elain and in the process taking away their choices.” This is just another instance where he was completely justified in his decision. You have to put yourself in his shoes for a second. One, he’s already stressed out because he thinks that his wife, child, and he himself are going to die and the last thing he needs is to be worried about losing an important ally over Elain and Azriel. Two, from his perspective it looks like Azriel just wanted to fuck Elain and he didn’t actually have feelings for her. “Well how could he not know that Azriel likes Elain” because as I stated before throughout Acosf his main priority was Feyre being pregnant and finding a way for her to survive it. Of course he’s not going to notice two people dancing around one another if he’s worried about his wife dying? A lot of you just forget that Rhys is also a High Lord who will put his people above everything (except for Feyre).

Ending it here even though I could go on and on about how delusional a lot of his antis are. This post would just be way too long.

[REPOST] MY 2K WORD COMMENTARY/ANALYSIS OF RANBOO’S LORE STREAM

‼️‼️This post contains lore spoilers from Ranboo’s 4/23 stream, “The Enderwalk Saga. Chapter 1: The Lessons”. If you haven’t seen that stream don’t read ahead unless you want spoilers‼️‼️

disclaimer: this isnt really an analysis as much as a bunch of commentary and half-baked theories.

-on the way to the mansion he was sort of talking to himself saying stuff like "i'm good i'm good" which m a y be a normal thing but also maybe it's not and it flew over our heads cause he talks to chats and donos like that so often

-again, this one may just be a normal thing but when he was climbing up the stairs in the mansion looking for foolish, he repeats some of his words like down to the exact same tone of voice and everything. 12:42, "this mansion is way too big actually. this mansion is way too big actually." (why the repeated actually? seems odd to me but again it might just be a normal thing that i haven't picked up on). (right after) "okay okay lemme find him lemme find him" again repeated words in the e x a c t same tone.

-does everyone know about ranboo's silk touch hands ability thing? or was that just a techno and ranboo main character moment. bc if it was, how would foolish know that ranboo could pick up the full cake after it'd been partially eaten. unless everyone on the sever knows about that in which case this means nothing. but if they d o n t know... how would foolish know? ranboo wrote about it in the do not read book so maybe if it's not a publicly known thing maybe foolish got his hands on the book and read it??

-14:53-ish, they're talking about the war room and how it was for tubbo or whatever and ranboo says, and i quote "he prepares for lore but he's never gonna do it." now funny thing is at first i couldn't tell if he said "war" like in reference to the war room or "lore". but after playing the clip over and over i can say with ALMOST 100% certainty that he said lore. there is a definite L sound at the beginning of the word. which either means a) this was a slip up (doubtful bc he said later that there were no mistakes), b) he broke the fourth wall because they were supposed to be rping at that point, or c) i'm completely wrong and he said "war" which leads down an entire other road of possibilities

-15:17 "are you a book reader?" "*checks inventory for do not read book* uh yeah i'd say i'm a book reader-" dunno how i didn't catch this the first time I HATE THAT DAMN BOOK

-15:18 there's blue in his hotbar. where did he get the blue.

-16:40 "it's like a metaphor- i have two minds: i have my normal self, my normal little shift-dancing self, and then the builder one. the builder one is demanding. it's a very demanding mind." ranboo then lets out a weird sigh after this. i feel like what foolish was talking about was an indirect(?) parallel to ranboo in and out of enderwalk, there's how he normally is, trying to do best for others, and then there's enderwalk, meeting up with bad guys and "demanding" things (its very late as i write this i really don't know what i'm talking about)

-17:11 "you have your panic closet" i'm sorry his what now 😀 no but seriously how the hell did i miss some of these

-18:04 "you're asking me if i remember?" very funny ranboo thank you for making jokes in these trying times

-19:54 "i never properly thanked you for the deal you made with me" so foolish got something out of this deal, we're not sure if ranboo did. "the green cardboard box" again do you mean dream's house- but seriously the only people i can think of on the server that are associated with green are dream and sam. and i have no idea what cardboard box could be referring to. foolish got a lime colored shulker from drista

-20:30 "we're supposed to only talk about it at a certain location" hmm now where would that be? panic room maybe? cause like usually after doing a big thing in the enderwalk state ranboo wakes up in the panic room so maybe? the deal was that they only talk about it in his house

-21:52 how does ranboo receive(?) the lessons? like are they whispered to him in his mind or is he seeing them as words in front of him like we see? hmm

-"Lesson 14: If you have the opportunity to gain a favor, take it." "gain a favor" don't you usually ask people for favors though? how does one "gain a favor"? anyways i'm pretty sure lesson 14 has to do with the deal foolish was talking about. (the deal explained because i now have info: at some point a bit ago foolish met up with ranboo and asked to make a deal, he'd gotten a shulker box from drista. the deal was that ranboo would have ownership of the box, it would be under his name but foolish rents/borrows it indefinitely. ranboo negotiated that if he took ownership of the box he would get a "war favor" from foolish where if something happens that creates sides, ranboo can ask him a favor that could change his side. but why would foolish want ranboo to have ownership of the shulker you may ask? well i have an answer for you. a theory actually but still. basically since drista technically isn't supposed to give out shit on the server if someone where to have that stuff then they may get in trouble. foolish wants to be able to use the shulker but if it gets found he doesn't want to get in trouble, so he can blame it on ranboo seeing as it's under his name.)

-22:16-ish "i still have this from when you *can't understand whats said here*" well i guess that sort of explains why he had the grass block? idk man (info update: he had the grass block from when ranboo threw it at him telling him to calm down like what ghostbur does with blue)

-31:35 "i figured out how to cause it" how to cause the enderwalk state

-38:30 "ninety three lessons" I STILL DONT KNOW WHY HE KEPT SAYING NINETY THREE AND NOT NINETY FOUR AND ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY LMAO

-39:01 "it's all for the greater good" okay well when are you gonna start thinking about yourself and not everyone else for once huh. self care bitch.

-40:31 he started holding the axe when he was looking at sam- gonna say it i really don't like that axe ahahah- WAIT A DAMN MINUTE THE AXE IS NAMED "axe of ender" I DONT LIKE THAT I DONT LIKE THAT AT ALL

-41:53 is there something?? physically keeping him from telling sam??? or maybe it's sort of like his enderwalk state taking control to make him shut the fuck up??? so many questions and approximately zero answers

-43:18 ranboo raising his voice legitimately scares me 😀👍

-"Lesson 27: Do not reminisce on what you have lost for it will weigh you down." showed up when he was thinking about and REMINISCING about the community house 👀👀

-"Lesson 53: Never fully trust anyone." showed up literally after he said that he thinks he can trust the other people on the server enough to tell them about what he did

-"Lesson 67: Leave no evidence of what you have helped with." this is different from the others because there doesn't seem to be at least a semi-direct connection to it? unless maybe at the time ranboo was near something he may have "helped with"? not sure about this one

-"Lesson 94: DO NOT LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE" yeah yeah i get it i get it he's fucked up some shit in enderwalk i don't feel like analyzing this thanks

-OH OH NOTICE HOW HE SAYS "REMEMBERING" WHEN THE LESSONS SHOW UP. IMPLYING THAT THIS ISNT A NEW THING, ITS HAPPENED BEFORE AND NOW HES REMEMBERING IT. MAYBE HE WROTE DOWN THE LESSONS WHEN HE WAS IN ENDERWALK AND NOW THAT HES BEEN EXPERIMENTING ITS BEEN EASIER FOR HIM TO REMEMBER THOSE ENDERWALK MEMORIES

-okokok the experiments are that he's been e x p e r i m e n t i n g on how to purposefully induce the enderwalk state. and we know now that it wasn't from the pain of the water because on the stream afterwords he said that it's caused by the intense fear of something happening. and so the "side effects" of the experiments is that since he's in enderwalk more often(?) he starts remembering more things from it

-OH MY GOD WAIT "there is a reason sam, there's so many reasons, theres ninety three of them" (44:47) WHAT IF EVERY LESSON IS TIED TO A QUOTE UNQUOTE "reason" THAT RANBOO THINKS HES A BAD PERSON/NEEDS TO BE LOCKED UP BUT HE SAYS NINETY THREE INSTEAD OF NINETY FOUR BECAUSE THE NINETY FOURTH LESSON DOESNT HAVE A REASON YET/HE DOESNT REMEMBER IT HAVING A REASON

-dude honestly the whole sam part hurts so much this man is scarily good at acting

-okay but there's no way that sam couldn't tell that ranboo was at least TRYING to confess to something- i feel like he definitely knows more than he's letting on because usually like when people do bad shit or admit to doing bad shit he's like in Prison Guard Mode™️ (he literally cut off ponk's arm because he stole some keycards or something) and whatever and idk what he knows but he definitely knows something and is trying to protect ranboo. or he's trying to manipulate him or smth either one works—

-56:08 just so it's clear for anyone who doesn't know- he's wearing armor at this point, and i'm like 90% sure that when he wears his armor water can't hurt him. and i saw someone say somewhere that like with splash potions when thrown it turns into a gas-like thing? so again, it didn't hurt him, he didn't get hurt. he said in the chill stream that he wasn't comfortable making it where his character had to hurt himself to do that. the thing that causes the enderwalk isn't pain, it's intense and sudden emotions like fear and stress. thank you for coming to my tedtalk.

beastars episode 21 thoughts!

legosi and louis have finally reunited!!!

i have a lotta gripes with this episode, but i think overall it was still a very good episode. this week's ep covered chapters 75, 76, 81, and a lil bit from ch69. i was very excited & happy to see legosi and louis finally interacting, and finally seeing some of my favorite legosi & louis moments animated & fully voiced was also great.

the ep opens with an anime original scene of louis and ibuki discussing stolen goods in their supply chain. its very brief and seems to just be setup for legosi and louis' reunion in the BAM later in the ep, so i'll come back to this later.

i liked seeing this lil smoky deer form in legosis head when monologuing about his smell lol. usually this only happened when legosi was tracking haru's scent so im glad they did it for louis too lol. ot3 real.

i really liked the scene of legosi's training. the intense fight paired with legosi's matter of fact tone while narrating was great lol i really love his voice.

the tao & kibi moment in the hospital was great omg ;-; i loved it. no complaints only emotions and tears.

now. the moment we've all been waiting for. the long awaited lougosi reunion. i have mixed feelings about it bc during my first watch i was very excited to see the boys finally interacting, but also in the back of my mind i was filled with dread while coming to the realization that the anime had changed how they meet again. i was kinda right about the anime quishing together ch66 along with ch75/76, but really they only pulled some lines from 66 and put them into this anime original scene in the warehouse :'^)

i dont think this scene is bad tho, i still really enjoyed watching it. but im still disappointed that it's different from the manga djflksjldf. at the very least i wouldve liked if the anime kept their brief interaction from ch66 and letting louis stew in his feelings of seeing legosi buying meat for a couple eps. very sad we were robbed of that.

i liked this lil moment where theyre just looking at e/o and thinking a million things. something i've always loved about this part (in both the manga & the anime) is how legosi got a fur cut so the shishigumi wouldn't recognize him but louis recognized him immediately lol. the music for this part was really great too. and seeing legosi's tail get all waggy was So Cute.

i will say tho that louis' lack of expressiveness in this season continues to be an issue. in the manga we get to see how hurt louis is to see legosi in the BAM and how he's almost embarrassed at legosi's visible happiness at seeing him again after everything. in the anime louis seems rather stone faced for most of this scene. he just looks either angry/annoyed or kinda neutral. his expressions are very subtle, like you can tell he's holding back a bit but we're not getting the same range as manga louis.

i think louis' expressiveness is a lil better in the next part when legosi is eating with the shishigumi and the balcony scene, but still not the same range as manga louis.

it was really funny to me about louis eats the steak and then just looks legosi dead in the eyes while he chews. like louis is challening legosi and legosi is just confused about why he's doing something so ridiculous. i've always wondered what legosi was thinking in this moment lmao.

as for the balcony scene... i fuckin loved it lmao. the voice acting was phenomenal. my lougosi brain was in OVERDRIVE

legosi literally said 🥺 while hugging louis i cant 😭

louis 🥺🥺🥺💕

also i really enjoyed this lil bit of legosi playing with the banner strings out of shyness. very cute.

i also really like how the anime did this part. i gasped and i knew it was coming lmao.

while i think the legosi & louis centric scenes were pretty well done overall, some people have pointed out that the anime doesn't let some of the really important moments from it linger long enough to hit with as much impact as they do in the manga, and i have to agree. i think it's another consequence of adding so much anime original stuff & shuffling many scenes around. like, i think the anime did well, but as a manga reader i know these scenes could have been even better.

the last thing ill say about this part is that when legosi launched himself over the banners i literally laughed out loud

this is the funniest clip ever lmao

i thought the last part of the ep was good, tho im a lil sad we didnt get legosi growling in the anime lol. once again im so in love with pina's voice acting ❤_❤

legosi's talk with pina about riz is supposed to set up the moth scene, which is when legosi's fur grows back, but based on the previews for the next ep, im not sure if we'll even be getting it, which worries me @0@ the preview pics that were posted all show moments that happen after legosi grows his fur back in the manga but it doesnt look like his fur has grown back yet in the anime.

this change is super weird to me, idk why the anime would push the moth scene or legosi's fur growth back so late in this arc. based on how things have been going im afraid the anime may have legosi grow is fur back in a different way, and cut the moth scene, which will be super disappointing for me bc i really love the moth scene. im still gonna hold out hope for it not being cut tho. crossing my fingers!!
