Okay I need to vent a little because of your Vil post. So I had a crush on a voice actor after seeing his personality on live streams. Just really loved his vibes and personality. So I want to try reaching out, see if I could get a chance to talk and get to know him and hopefully still like him and tell him so, but I'm nervous and asked 2 people for advice. First I only told them he was a stranger, but after finding out all his DMs were closed I told them he was a VA and how do I approach him with no DMs and not appearing like a fan. And these 2 people I asked just tell me that I have a celebrity crush and I'm really reaching here and that I'm actually just a fan of him so I shouldn't reach out. One even asked if I like the idea of him or the real him.

And that really bothered me. Because first off, does ANYONE who approaches someone they don't know personally "like the real person or the idea of them"?! There's a reason for approaching them, and if it's successful, you get to know the real person and then make informed decisions. I wasn't trying to jump into anything with the VA, I was trying to take the first step to getting to know him. Then the part about me just being a fan- I've only seen 1 thing he voices in, and while that was what led me to his streams, it's not what made me interested in him. As I said, it was his personality that I assumed was his own and not the character's. Even though I think he's talented, I'm not even interested in watching other things he's been in, so how much of a fan am I? Then there's the 'celebrity' aspect. I admit that I didn't realize how popular he was compared to his peers at first (doesn't that make my interest in him more genuine though?) but at the same time, I don't feel like he's a 'celebrity' celebrity. He only has a couple of big roles as far as I'm aware. And I've never been into celebrities- don't care about them.

So yea- got pretty frustrated for having my feelings labeled as something I feel like it's not. Gave up on the crush, too, after no success reaching out. Ugh. I need to re-read that Vil post now to feel some fantasy validation.

I'm not someone who does this so I can't say, the only romantic relationships I've been in started off as friendships (one of 2 months, BAD, and one of three years, who I'm still dating). I think the problem is that he's a celebrity. his DMs are closed for a reason. I haven't had this with a famous person, but with artists online I wanted to befriend when I was like 16. in my experience most of them just find it weird/creepy/parasocial, even if you have good intentions, even if you really do just want to know them, it's uncomfortable. the internet is a weird place, after all, you can never be sure. it hurts but I'd say it was all for the better. you wouldn't have to suffer through the unfathomable cringe I feel when I think about my past T_T

the thing abt the surgery is that yes I do get litle moments of being ecstatic it finally happened but also I just feel Normal now. like my base state for all my life up until last week was worry, horror, and panic when i'd occasionally remember the very unwanted thing my body was capable of, spiraling into what ifs on potential conflicts in my life and future... and now i just feel Not Stressed Out All the Time. I commissioned @tikklil from Twitter/Instagram again to draw 42 Miles/42 Gwen based off @bloody-writing's fic Tonight You Belong To Me. This fic is the reason why I ship them so hard, so I think it's only fitting that I commission fanart inspired by this fic as a thank you. Hopefully, I can do some more commissions based on this fic because there are scenes that I really think is worth seeing illustrated. So fingers crossed. I saw it in your tag game post that you're also fond of the Apollo-Heracles conflict 👀 for a myth that appears in only a couple of sources, it sure has a lot of presence in the vase paintings (no seriously, everytime I think I've seen the last of it, I find ten more)

I also think it's extremely interesting that it's a story so popularly portrayed by vase paintings and in such a variety of ways!! It's certainly one of the stories that gets left out of written compilation of Heracles' legend a bit (which is a shame, I think it's a fantastic story) but Apollo had a very peculiar relationship with Heracles in general that I just kind of find amazing (and very, very funny).

Apollo is not a god with any legitimate grudge against Heracles, but he does argue with the mortal a bit like he argues with his favourite brothers 😂Part of why I love the story of Apollo and Heracles fighting over the tripod so much is that it is such a little brother thing for Heracles to be upset with the proclamation his elder brother has given him and so, he throws a great fit, taking up the chair and declaring that he'll just give himself a better prophecy! And Apollo, instead of being a marginally professional big brother, decides to fight him for it until their father has to break up their cat-fight. Like was that not just the plot of the Homeric Hymn to Hermes? Is this not exactly how Apollo treated Hermes when he was a child and now those two are inseparable? 💀

Because of this, my favourite vase paintings tend to be the ones that highlight the personal squabbling between Apollo and Heracles the most. There are some very elaborate ones that have the full host of them - Athena, Heracles, Apollo, Artemis, usually a dog and a doe, I've even seen a couple that had birds and plants etched on them, but the simplest ones that show Heracles about to bonk Apollo with his club out of frustration or depict Heracles nyooming away from Apollo while Apollo (presumably) yells curses about how he's going to fling Heracles head first into Tartarus for daring to take his things? Yeah, those are the premium big brother/little brother things I'm looking for.

it's One Panel and i'm ABSOLUTELY reaching here but there's a (single) panel in horrortale where horror's pulling apart some sort of human limb like an arm with a device. why? what for? i dont fucking know at all man like papyrus said why is he always doing something weird in his room. anyways i'm just gonna guess its probably for rationing in horrortale (but it could also be that horror just felt like ripping apart an arm. for scientific purposes. or because he did this after ripping off aliza's arm so maybe he's doing some sort of recollection reflection or something i dunno im not a professional on this man). killer could totally send all the already dead HUMAN bodies horror's way for horrortale's food situation. maybe horror likes to dissect the humans yk maybe he's not just the type of bash (a head open) and dash. monsters dust so you cant see their guts but humans dont so horror gets prime time first hand experience on the human body! and then after he's done poking around in the brain he can give the meat and organs to papyrus for him to do his specific spaghetti confectionery

but but but what about the monsters that killer takes the souls from! surely he doesn't just take from only humans (dude idk if he actually does take from only human or monster. probably not right? he needs to study BOTH types of code so he can be most informed) so he must also take monster souls. and fortunately for dust (i do NOT think he'd quite like handling gore) monsters don't leave behind bodies or blood or allat they leave behind dust. hah. dust experiment with dust. i think its already a headcanon out there that dust likes to study dust. i cant exactly recall WHY exactly but maybe it's for sentimental reasons or just something to do to pass time between resets. so killer can just pass on whatever dust he gets to him and he can put it under his little microscope and be a little nerd what a GEEK. give this guy glasses and remove all his teeth but one i guarantee you he'll look like 🤓

and once again i hear you cry out but but triglycercule! why would killer even give the dead bodies and stuff to horror and dust in the first place??? erm number one because i said so silly. jk. and number two (if we're going in a nightmare's gang context here) it could be as a way for killer to gain horror and dust's trust. a way for them not to tattle on him for stealing souls for some unknown reason. maybe there's somehow important coding information left behind in the bodies/dust (because that's literally what utmv is made of) and killer wants dust and horror to do that work for him for some reason. maybe just a way for him to get rid of evidence maybe if theyre buddy pals and close enough just as a gift. i dunno man there's a bunch of reasons as to why he could possibly do this. i just really liked the thought of the trio all wearing fancy lab coats and goggles and i was like damn how can i make this a real possibility

I love how smart Ellie is. She reads all the books she can about space. She has a favorite astronaut. She can read Joel like a book, too -- knew what he was thinking after Tess died and stood up for herself. Knew that someone needed to keep watch after Joel fell asleep and took the initiative to do it safely and tactfully, and then stood up for herself again.

I also love how, even though she is smart, she's still just a headstrong kid who can sometimes be a little shit. She sasses a girl who is bigger and meaner than her (and holds her own in the fight that inevitably follows). She sasses a random dude she just met so bad that he ends up adopting her. She sasses an old couple because she thinks it'll be intimidating and get them the information they need. She's sarcastic and witty and so so bright and complex, I just love her.
