"We were tortured a lot" A number of released Palestinian detainees tell their experience in Israeli prisons.

I also would like to translate what Israa Jaabis shared. If you want to know her story you can ask me or any Palestinian person/ reliable news outlet because I've been checking Wikipedia about her story and it changed drastically the last month, painting her as a criminal when she was wrongfully arrested and tortured.

Freed detainee Israa Al-Jaabis:

She said the Israeli soldiers would torture very young girls in jail. That their screams and cries could be heard from the wall. Also she said that israeli soldiers would put gas in the girls cells and they wouldn't be able to breath, a lady once inhaled the gas next to her room and her lungs were in bad shape for a while even though she wasn't in direct contact. She said Israel tortured detainees but especially young girls who have seen things no human ever could. This is the summary for the rest of her interview:

- We must work to liberate all detainees from the occupation jails

Hello everyone I have gotten a lot of asks from Palestinians and at this point there are so many to answer individually I thought it would be better to make a proper post for all of them at once. In addition to being a staggering account of unimaginable trauma and survival, this story highlights how incredibly arbitrary the laws that comprise border imperialism are, and the extent to which mobility is a function of the ability to tell an attention-grabbing and power-compelling story:

‘Amer Alkhatib is a 13-year-old boy whose bandaged ear is the only hint of the trauma he’s endured.

His uncle Yousef is an NHS radiologist living and working in Liverpool, his aunt Israa a teaching assistant. They are his family now. Because on March 15 this year, an Israeli airstrike in Gaza destroyed Amer’s home, killing his parents, grandparents and five siblings.

We have unearthed pictures of the airstrike showing the family home in ruins. Yet miraculously Amer survived. He suffered a haemorrhage, a skull fracture and serious burns, and was evacuated to Egypt, where he had eight operations.

As his closest surviving adult relative, Yousef and his wife Israa decided they had a “moral obligation” to give the child a home.

An interview about Amer’s plight went viral, and Labour’s Jess Phillips, who quit her party’s frontbench in March over its then stance on a ceasefire in Gaza, contacted a Home Office minister, Tom Pursglove.

Phillips told us: “To his credit, he came back immediately and said, we will get it sorted by the end of the day. And we got his visa into his hand within a day.”’

“I never imagined I would give birth to my first child away from home and surrounded by air strikes,” Israa, a young mother in Gaza told Middle East Eye. Soon after giving birth, Israa said, her family was forced to share a small room with over 17 people, which led to Israa catching the coronavirus, which was then passed on to her newborn. “Instead of embracing my little child, I had to leave him in the incubator, looking at him far from the window for almost two weeks. Those were the worst days in my whole life.” Displaced Palestinians are also being squeezed into ever-tighter areas of the tiny coastal enclave, prompting outbreaks of illness and disease, to which malnourished children are particularly vulnerable. With Palestinians enduring increasingly dire conditions, the most basic of acts for new parents, such as changing a child’s nappy, have become a luxury, with many mothers and carers resorting to using cloth diapers. Safe pregnancies and births have become entirely unfeasible in Gaza due to incessant Israeli bombing. In December, just three months into the conflict, the International Rescue Committee said there were at least 155,000 pregnant or breast-feeding mothers in Gaza who were at high risk of malnutrition.

Across Gaza, residential areas have been left ruined, previously busy shopping streets reduced to rubble, universities destroyed and farmlands churned up, with tent cities springing up on the southern border to house many thousands of people left homeless.

About 1.7 million people - more than 80% of Gaza's population - are displaced, with nearly half crammed in the far southern end of the strip, according to the United Nations.

Further analysis, by BBC Verify, reveals the scale of destruction of farmland, identifying multiple areas of extensive damage.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said it is targeting both Hamas fighters and "terror infrastructure", when challenged over the scale of damage.

Now, satellite data analysis obtained by the BBC shows the true extent of the destruction. The analysis suggests between 144,000 and 175,000 buildings across the whole Gaza Strip have been damaged or destroyed. That's between 50% and 61% of Gaza's buildings.

"Israeli forces targeted residential complexes, especially in the downtown Khan Younis area," said Rawan Qaddah, a 20-year-old resident, who has been displaced and has lost contact with her family.

She named schools among the many buildings which had been damaged. Some were now being used to house displaced people temporarily.

The IDF has repeatedly justified its actions by noting that Hamas deliberately embeds itself in civilian areas and explained destruction of buildings in the light of targeting fighters. But questions have been asked about destruction of buildings seemingly firmly in the control of the IDF.

One example was the Israa University, in northern Gaza - initially badly damaged shortly before being blown up completely in what looked like a massive controlled explosion. The video was widely shared on social media and the IDF says the approval process for the blast is now being investigated.

Many of Gaza's historic sites have suffered extensive damage, including the al-Omari Mosque originally built in the 7th Century.

Mr Scher, one of the academics who worked on the Gaza damage assessment, said it stands out compared with other war zones he's analysed.

"We've done work over Ukraine, we've also looked at Aleppo and other cities, but the extent and the pace of damage is remarkable. I've never seen this much damage appear so quickly."

Wejdan-32, I have reported you as a spam/bot. I would ask that anyone interested do a quick Tumblr search of 'Palestine' or 'Gaza'. Review how similar the posts are in format - text type, color, style, arrangement of issues, sob stories, links, sparkling clear pictures - and tags. Notice that there are literally hundreds of these highly similar posts. Recall that modern AI is excellent at generating bullshit. It is a superb plagiarism machine.

Many of these posts claim to be vetted. Sure. Go check the blogs that are vetting them. They are vetted by other donation blogs, which are in turn vetted by other donation blogs, which are vetting each other collaboratively. Are there any verifiable human beings in this circle jerk of Spidermen pointing at one another? If there are, can you reliably differentiate between real vetting and con-man insistence that 'yes, I promise, definitely, this is really certainly for sure not a scam!' ?

While you're thinking about it, do a Tumblr search on 'donation' and ignore the ones that are tagged for Gaza or Palestine. Notice how individual they are, how the styles vary. Now look back at the curated nonsense for Gaza/Palestine. Ask yourself why hundreds of refugees from Gaza/Palestine would all end up with the same basic post format when a few dozen non-Gaza posts end up so different from one another. Ask yourself why other global tragedies (Ukraine, etc.) have not resulted in the same deluge of concentrated, similar donation requests. Think about how much money these efforts are generating and probably have been generating for nearly a year now. Have you heard a single story about people having been helped by this money? Is there anyone out of all these hundreds of posts who have come back and said, 'Thank you everyone, my family and I made it to [insert country here] and are safe now'?

While Anisha would train as a mage and embody the relentless inferno, Arya would moreso represent the sun's warmth and the controlled flame. She has adopted a physicality channeling her fire through alchemy-infused weapons, most of all her spear Khagesvara.

It is with her blazing presence and prowess comparable to a dragoon that Arya took her place among the aforementioned village guard, the Fangs of Vrtra, acquiring reputation as the "Flame Fang". She has acted under Shahin as vice captain, working primarily alongside fellow Fangs Israa and Derin to protect Jhaveri and their neighbors.

The peace they shared was shaken by the Final Days, where Vanaspati was hard hit. With Shahin gravely injured, Arya took the initiative to defend their home and rescue whoever they could. Since then she has been working as acting captain, and her efforts along with the Fangs' did not go unnoticed by the satrap of Radz-at-Han - their namesake, Vrtra himself. Arya has also served as an example for the Radiant Host, and even been said to have compared notes with the former Azure Dragoon of Ishgard.

Admittedly, it has all been a level of obligation she didn't expect to shoulder so suddenly.

The Associated Press has reported that Palestinians are fleeing Khan Younis “by the thousands” as fighting in the area intensifies. Palestinians also told the outlet that Israeli forces told them to evacuate the Faisal school where many were sheltering, and detained many young men with little explanation. “Suddenly, they [the Israeli military] started calling from the microphones to evacuate the site within half an hour,” Amal, a Palestinian mother who gave birth three days ago and fled the school with her newborn, told AP. “They allowed us to leave, and they made us walk a certain distance, and they took the young men and searched them on the side,” said Israa Khashan, who was also sheltering at the school. “They took some young men with them and left others, and now we are here, not knowing where to go,” she added.
