Brazilian pine chemicals exports to China restart

Exports of South American gum rosin and gum turpentine to China have resumed after an extended buying absence of over a year and half.

Brazilian and Argentine exports to China dropped to almost zero from July 2021 because of competitive pricing from Indonesia and high freight rates. But shipping economics have improved markedly this year. Gum turpentine freight rates for 20t isotanks from Brazil to China were down to $1,855 in March, compared with $4,450 in December 2021, according to data from trading firm Enova Service. Meanwhile, freight rates for 20ft containers from Brazil to China have fallen to $750-$1,000 this year from $2,000 in 2021, commercial and trading managers at two pine chemicals companies said.

Lower-priced material and ample supply from Brazil during peak season in the first quarter this year have prompted Chinese buyers to seek South American product, and more volumes should be shipped in the coming weeks and months, according to market participants in Brazil. Argus assessed Brazilian gum rosin at $1,050-1,180/t fob Brazil port in May this year, down by 20-26pc from May 2021 levels, while Brazilian gum turpentine was assessed at $1,800-2,000/t fob Brazil port this month, down from $4,200-4,400/t two years earlier.

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, BADUNG - Pemanfaatan Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) atau Gas Alam Cair sebagai alternatif energi bersih, dinilai menjadi suatu pilihan yang harus direalisasikan Pemerintah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi Nasional. Betapa tidak, kehadiran LNG merupakan sebuah solusi yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pengganti bahan bakar fossil dan dapat dijadikan juga sebagai alternatif bagi pembangkit listrik di berbagai titik di Indonesia, khususnya bagian tengah dan timur. Dalam hal ini, Pemerintah Indonesia melaui Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) terus berupaya meningkatkan ketahanan energi nasional dengan mendorong pemanfaatan LNG di Indonesia. Salah satunya, dengan mendorong pembangunan fasilitas dan infrastruktur small scale LNG atau terminal mini gas alam cair (LNG) di berbagai wilayah. "Gas telah mengambil peran penting dalam bauran energi Indonesia. Ditargetkan bahwa gas akan mengambil 22% bagian dalam bauran energi pada tahun 2025 dan 24% pada tahun 2050. Sejak 1977, Indonesia telah menjadi pemain penting dalam bisnis gas dunia dengan memegang 1,53% dari cadangan gas dunia. Indonesia masih berada di 5 besar eksportir LNG pada tahun 2017. Saat ini, kami mengubah penetrasi energi dari dominan minyak ke dominan gas," terang Direktur Jenderal Minyak dan Gas Bumi KESDM, Djoko Siswanto, seperti yang dikutip dari Laman Resmi Kementerian ESDM. Saat ini dijelaskan, gas domestik digunakan untuk pembangkit listrik (12,78%), industri termasuk industri pupuk dan industri lainnya (36,19%), ekspor LNG (28,37%), ekspor gas pipa (11,33%), lifting minyak domestik (2,81%), dan lainnya penggunaan domestik (8,52%). Di masa depan, pasokan LNG untuk pembeli domestik akan meningkat seiring dengan pengoperasian pembangkit listrik PLN sebesar 35 GW. Sementara itu, peran PT. Pertamina Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk sebagai Subholding Gas Pertamina dalam menjamin keamanan dan stabilitas energi gas bumi nasional, terus hadir untuk memperkenalkan dan mengudaksi masyarakat tentang beberapa proyek inisiatif energi gas bumi dan LNG yang low carbon, dengan mengintegrasikan infrastruktur pipa dan non pipa untuk meningkatkan utilitasi energi bersih. “Selain lebih bersih dibandingkan bahan bakar diesel, LNG juga lebih terjangkau. Penghematan yang didapatkan sebesar 20 persen." ujar Direktur Strategi dan Pengembangan Bisnis PGN, Heru Setiawan, seperti yang dikutip dari Laman Harian Ekonomi Neraca, pada Kamis (22/9/2022) lalu. Dikatakannya, PGN turut menjalankan mandat dari pemerintah untuk menjadikan LNG dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif energi bagi pembangkit listrik di berbagai titik di Indonesia bagian tengah dan timur. Ketepatan teknis harus direncanakan secara matang agar alokasi LNG sekitar 83 BBTUD nantinya dapat optimum penggunaannya. “Untuk bisa memenuhi kebutuhan energi di Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan, pengembangan beyond pipeline untuk distribusi LNG adalah keharusan. Demand LNG retail diperkirakan meningkat hingga 119 BBTUD dalam 10 tahun ke depan. Target ini cukup menantang dalam penyediaan infrastruktur LNG seperti Isotank, microbulk, tabung VGL, dan sebagainya, serta mengutamakan skema logistik yang seefisien mungkin,” jelas Heru. Disisi lain, adanya upaya Pemerintah Pusat untuk bisa memenuhi kebutuhan energi di Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan, dengan menjadikan LNG sebagai alternatif energi bagi pembangkit listrik di berbagai titik di Indonesia bagian tengah dan timur, termasuk Bali, semestinya dapat menjadi suatu hal yang perlu didukung realisasinya, sehingga mimpi Bali Mandiri Energi bisa segera terwujud. Selain mengakomodir untuk kebutuhan pembangkit listrik, keberadaan LNG di Bali nantinya juga bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan bakar kebutuhan dapur dan boiler pemanas air serta laundry bagi industri pariwisata Bali hingga mencapai 6.000 m3 per bulan. Masyarakat Bali saat ini sudah mulai mengerti dan paham, bahwa LNG dianggap menjadi salah satu opsi yang baik bagi industri yang mengedepankan penggunaan energi bersih serta faktor kepraktisan dikarenakan isi LNG adalah 1/600 gas alam pada suhu dan tekanan standar, sehingga tak banyak dari masyarakat yang menolak keberadaan LNG di Bali, malah justru dukungan mengalir dari berbagai lini sebagai upaya mewujudkan kemandirian energi di masa yang akan datang. Seperti yang kita ketahui, Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Bali terus melakukan berbagai cara untuk dapat mewujudkan kemandirian energi Bali di masa yang akan datang. Tentu dengan rencana pemanfaatan LNG sebagai alternatif, melalui Perusahaan Daerah (Perusda) Bali, PT. Dewata Energy Bersih (DEB) yang nantinya adalah untuk mendukung penggunaan energi bersih untuk pembangkit listrik sehingga ada tambahan pembangkit 2x100 MW dengan pola pemanfaatan LNG untuk mendukung kehandalan energi listrik tersebut yang dinilai tepat untuk mendukung terciptanya efisiensi energi listrik di Pulau Bali. "Penggunaan LNG (gas alam cair, red) untuk energi listrik juga memiliki nilai lingkungan dan ekonomis yang tinggi. Dibandingkan dengan bensin dan solar, LNG lebih ramah lingkungan karena dapat mengurangi emisi sekitar 85%, dan dibandingkan CNG, LNG memiliki nilai densitas energi 3 kali lebih besar pada volume yang sama disamping menghasilkan harga ekonomi kelistrikan yang sangat efisien," jelas IB Purbanegara, Humas PT. DEB. Utilisasi LNG sebagai salah satu alternatif energi bersih juga dapat membantu pemerintah dalam menekan defisit APB. Ditambah lagi dengan harga yang relatif stabil dan kompetitif, diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat dalam memilih energi yang efisien dan tentunya pilihan utama dalam masa transisi energi. SARP INTERMODAL ISOTANK TAŞIMALARINI YÜZDE 35 ARTIRDI

Türkiye’nin kimya ihracatındaki rekorlar, lojistik sektörüne de olumlu yansıyor. Sarp Intermodal’in likit yükleri taşıdığı Isotank operasyonları, Ocak-Temmuz aylarında geçen yılın aynı dönemine göre yüzde 35 arttı. Şirketin Isotank Operasyon Direktörü Cem Karaman, Isotank ile kimya sektöründeki müşterilerinin yüklerini dünyanın her noktasına taşıdıklarını, intermodal altyapısını kullanarak transit süre ve maliyet avantajı sunduklarını belirtti.

Türkiye İhracatçılar Meclisi (TİM) verilerine göre kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ihracatı, Ocak-Temmuz 2022’de geçen yılın aynı dönemine kıyasla yüzde 41,8 arttı ve 19,7 milyar dolarla rekor seviyeye ulaştı. Kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ihracatındaki rekor, Türkiye’de intermodal taşımacılığın öncü markalarından olan Sarp Intermodal’in Isotank taşımalarına da yansıdı. Şirketin Isotank taşımaları bu dönemde yaklaşık yüzde 35 arttı.

Sarp Intermodal Isotank Operasyon Direktörü Cem Karaman, toplam operasyonlarının yüzde 20’sini Isotank taşımalarının oluşturduğunu, geçen yıl bu taşımaların yüzde 55 ihracat, yüzde 45 ithalat yönlü gerçekleştiğini belirtti.

“Ro-Ro ve demir yolunu kara yolu ile birleştirdik, maliyet avantajı sunuyoruz”

Pandemi sonrası yaşanan global konteyner krizinin yol açtığı sorunlara işaret eden Karaman, “Isotank taşımacılığında her zaman ekipman uygunluğu ve süreklilik sağlıyor ve müşterilerimize doğru alternatifler yaratıyoruz. Isotank taşımalarımızda deniz yolu taşımalarına ek olarak şirketimizin güçlü intermodal altyapısını kullanıyoruz. Kara yolunu Ro-Ro ve demir yolu ile birleştirerek, sınır kapılarına takılmadan müşterilerimize güçlü bir alternatif sunuyoruz. Böylece hem transit sürelerde hem de navlunlarda önemli avantajlar sağlıyoruz.” diye konuştu.

Karaman, Isotanklar ile kimyasal hammadde içeren tüm ürün gruplarını taşıyabildiklerini, intermodal altyapılarıyla ihracatçı ve ithalatçıları rekabette bir adım öne geçirdiklerini vurguladı. Kimya ihracatının rekor kırmasında intermodal taşımacılığın da payı olduğuna dikkati çeken Karaman, üretim bantlarının “non-stop” çalıştığı sektörde müşterilerinin teslimatlarını tam zamanında gerçekleştirdiklerinin altını çizdi.

2021 yılında gıda sektöründeki likit ürünler için de Isotank taşımalarına başladıklarını ifade eden Karaman, kimya sektöründeki büyüme oranlarını kısa sürede bu alanda da yakalamak istediklerine dikkati çekti.

“Küresel çapta Isotank taşımacılığı yapıyoruz”

Karaman, küresel bir lojistik şirketi haline gelen Sarp Intermodal’in, başta ABD, Kanada, Avrupa, Orta Doğu ve Uzak Doğu olmak üzere dünyanın birçok noktasına Isotank taşıması gerçekleştirdiğini belirtti.

Özellikle son 3 yılda sadece Isotank taşıması yapan ADR’li çekici ve dorselerinin sayısını önemli oranda artırdıklarını anlatan Karaman, söz konusu yatırımlar için şirket olarak ciddi bütçeler ayırmaya devam edeceklerini de sözlerine ekledi.
