He'd prepared himself for this day, over and over again-- a gentle reminder in the back of his head that his life here could change, despite how much he hoped it could be this way forever. Lloyd had watched both friends and family come and go to the island more times than he could count; the time spent together never forgotten, but also never enough. If he could have his most selfish wishes granted, he'd want them to stay, to never leave his side again; even though he knew they all had important things to do back at home. Promises to keep, goals to achieve, lives to live to their fullest.

Kratos was never an exception to that.

And yet, no amount of preparation would be enough to ease the ache in his heart. To still the shock that struck him so fiercely, so coldly that it left him breathless; unable to form any coherent thought as his phone hit the floor of the forge, ripping through the door and out into the Mistwood.

It couldn't be true. Even if the others had left.. Colette, Genis, Emil, Dirk, Anna.. he'd just gotten Kratos back. The years spent together in Spirale were more than he could have ever asked for, but they would never amount to the lifetime Lloyd spent without his father at his side. This was their second chance, wasn't it? Why would it be taken from them so quickly?

But as the brunette reached the cottage, tearing through the entrance without so much as a warning--

The dark interior was enough to keep him silent. Cold shadows on the wall, engulfing the space he once knew to feel so warm. A desperate call then died on the tip of his tongue, as brown eyes stared into the abyss before him.

Hesitantly, he took a step. Looking around corners, peering into his father's bedroom. But all that was left in the house were things he knew that belonged to Martel-- there was not a single trace of Kratos Aurion in this place, as if he had never been there at all.

"..."

But he had been.

But he was.

And nothing could erase that. Not his absence here, not the Stars-- nothing would ever be powerful enough to take Lloyd's memories of their time together here. So long as he stayed, so long as his life continued in this world away from his own.. Lloyd would hold onto that. Close to his heart, to the center of his very being. He would always.. always be..

Grateful. For one more chance to be with him.

Proud. That Kratos got to see him grow, to experience moments of his life that Lloyd would have always wanted him to.

Happy. No matter the strife they experienced together, no matter the trials they were forced to face.. at the end of the day, they were always there for one another. Just like family should be. Like they always had been.

.. but still..

He knew Kratos wouldn't want him to feel this way. It.. was always so painful for the man to see him like this, wasn't it? But despite that, in that moment.. as Lloyd clutched at the front of his jacket, curling into himself--

He felt heartbroken. Shattered, as he eventually allowed himself down on his knees; ducking his head close to his chest.

He couldn't cry. Kratos had always been strong for Lloyd.. so he could be strong for him too, couldn't he? But it was impossible for him to utter any hopeful words like he normally did when someone left; to assure Kratos, even if he wasn't here anymore, that they would meet again one day. That he was happy to have just had a little more time with him, to thank him for all that he'd done.. and promise to remain strong.

No.. he wouldn't cry. But for that one, small moment.. Lloyd would allow himself to be engulfed in his heartbreak; shutting his eyes as he breathed out one, quiet sigh.

"Dad.."

I won't die. I'll live on, for as long as I'm able.

In this world, or in Aselia.. I promise I'll keep living.

Until I can see you again.

Until.. I can see you again.

".. I'm sorry.. I didn't get to say goodbye."

(“Why am I hungry again already? Maybe because of the cold weather, but it’s weird, I swear I fed recently… I have been pretty busy recently though so it probably just slipped my mind.”)

He came out to do some shopping but that familiar hunger is a little distracting, mumbling lowly to himself while he thinks he’s alone in an aisle. He might have to go out later tonight to do something about it, before hungry turns to aggressive and leads to him hurting someone. He can’t let himself get out of control like that, he just knows it’ll make him feel awful.

"I should be fine this time, I promise." Mercedes's worries aren't entirely unfounded, seeing as the last time they were together at a large social gathering he accidentally overexerted himself. Be that as it may, he had taken extra precautions this time, so that wouldn't be happening. But when she looks at him, eyes filled with so much care, he can't help but feel...something.

Enough that he moves his hand so that it's placed over hers. "It's all right, Mercedes. I did not request to be your escort for the night just to have you worry about me for its duration."

hey i saw you talking about the group ‘isola radiale’ in the tags and i was thinking about joining it because i recently made a blog for a dead fandom that i am having trouble getting off the ground. is there any specific reasoning behind not joining a/that rp group? ( i have only ever been indie ) also, sorry for the random ask and for anonymous, i am shy;;

wow, i posted that a while ago! hello, anon!

i was in their precursor group, citta, and then in isola radiale itself for a time, and i did not enjoy it as much as i could've. namely because the folks at isola treat the rp like a full-time job.

all your benefits are locked behind activity after a certain point, with the highest rank taking a year of being there or MORE to access w its requirements. the activity checks were also pretty tough, but i had unmedicated adhd and was in college at the time of my attendance so i may be biased. you could go on hiatus for a week and iirc extend that for another only if you appealed for it, but generally them giving you the boot for having a life outside of goofy tumblr rp is. hm.

another issue i had which is of no fault of the admins was how cliquey it was, and how it fell into some trappings of tumblr rp stereotypes. you'd get people who would refuse to rp with you unless you were playing someone from their setting, or if you used certain fonts, posted icons in your replies, etc. it was pretentious and rude! you tended to have an even worse time if you were playing a purely original character, it was harder for me to get interactions with people (required for ranking up....) versus when i was playing a canon, yet minor character. i have no clue who you're playing anon, but you may be struggling because your character isn't recognized by many and you're new. starting out is the hardest...

overall, 6.2/10 experience, i had fun there but i probably would not go back. it gave me a hatred for strict activity enforcement. rp is a hobby, not something i should clock in for or risk losing my job!

as you may have noticed, activity has dwindled tremendously on this blog. for a long while i have been considering remaking this blog and i think it's time for me to do so. whether i return to isola after this hiatus or go indie i do not know yet, but guess we just have to wait and see.

Hello hello everybody! Whisper's been one of my more active muses lately, so I'll be posting this here. I go by Neo, though some have known me as Alex in the past, and I go by Jam in my art stuffs. (It's very confusing even to me, don't worry) I'm a 27-year old they/he/she enby. I've been in Isola for around three and a half years now, during which time I've had near constantly full muse slots, and would doubtlessly have more if I were allowed because I deleted Self-Control from my Contacts list. Current other muses in the group are Gaige the Mechromancer from Borderlands, Jester Lavorre from Critical Role, Margaret Moonlight from No More Heroes, Jinx from League of Legends/Arcane, Tatsumaki from One-Punch Man, Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Eda the Owl Lady and Kikimora from The Owl House, and Anne Boonchuy from Amphibia. (Also the blog you're reading this from is Whisper the Wolf from the IDW Sonic comics)

I graduated college a little over five and a half years ago with a fine art degree concentrated in New Media and Design- lots of Adobe product stuff and some 3D was taught, though I've learned a lot more since graduating. I'm currently employed at a fast-food restaurant where I've been for far too long. =v= While working in animation, whether 2D or 3D, is my dream, I currently want to fill out a portfolio to get a job in video editing! I'm taking some online courses to get projects from, and I started a Youtube channel for video essays and such some time ago, though currently it's only for video essay, singular- only one video on there atm, about my Problematic Fave Kikimora. BUT I'm writing a script right now as a kind of follow-up to that video related to the most recent Owl House episode! Hopefully that'll be out soon and I'll get a newer video out less than eight months from now afterward. Maybe it'll even be one that isn't about a character everybody but me hates(jk, though I probably don't need much more than two hands to count how many fans she has in the fandom).

I'm a tremendous DnD fan, currently playing in two campaigns(one of which is using a homebrew Pokemon system). I also have one that I DMed, though it's been on hiatus for over a year now because of complications- hopefully everybody'll be interested in getting it started again when I'm good and ready. (I've even considered apping an NPC from the campaign here bc I've obsessed over her ever since her inception and the party hasn't even met her yet) Other hobbies include wanting to play video games and then not, drawing far too slowly, and puns.

I really like this idea!! Glad to really meet you all and I hope we can all have more fun together!

Holmes info for Isola Event: mistified.

The twist is this is a completely human Holmes. This is a Holmes who main concern is his best friend Watson. Checking up on how Henry doing and having tea with the upcoming super star Henry Jekyll. None of this servant stuff yet. He DOES know about the clock tower but he usally stays out of there business. The him right now is still some time before the great hiatus.

Again note. This is still a early century Holmes so.....it’s gonna take him sometime to get use to things.

Expect him to be supernaturally strong.
