BATTLE AT THE COLISEUM
@pratisodha -- @hollowfaith -- @crossfists
Wow, her team looks real strong. While part of her is excited to have found a team to be a part of, there's a small sense of pressure. She won't let them down.
"I've never been in a group battle before," She admits with a light laugh. It may have sounded funny. OKAY, she's nervous, alright? Speaking of nervous, she can't help but side-glance at the man with blond hair.
HOLY SHIT THAT'S THE ANGEL THAT'S GIVING MISTER ITADORI A HARD TIME.
There are two people here she's familiar with. The angel that gives Mister Itadori a hard time and Mister Klaus. She finds herself hesitant to turn her head to look up at---is he a robot? When hazel eyes meet the Omnic's, she cracks a friendly smile (as NON-AWKWARD as possible) and bows her head.
"U-Uhm! So I'm Hanabi! I don't have much going for me, really. I wanted to try my hands at the different tiers to kind of sharpen my skills! Uh, uh...." And this is why she never did like standing in front of people when doing her presentations at high school OR college, "I'm a shaman, errr, kinda. In a sense. It's complicated BUT I can use any sort of weapon as well as control things with my mind! AH, Like you, sir!" She gestures POLITELY at Aurelius with a big smile,
"But I'm also very good at hand-to-hand---" The young adult lowers half her body in a respectful and gracious bow, "Thank you for having me a part of your team I won't let you down."

"I am so sorry! I should've watched where I was stepping!" They had been SO close and, well, with Yumine's clumsiness and the unawareness of her surroundings, had accidentally set off a trap with the use of her wings.
"Are you okay?"
The cat's slipped away once the distraction of said traps was a succession. "Perhaps we should think of a plan." She couldn't fly and cheat that way. She doesn't think at least.

"Hell YEAH!" They're pretty excited right this moment but don't think for a second that they just let that whole thing slide. "Shit, I thought those buggers were gonna steal the spotlight at the last minute. good thing you used my sunglasses," They jab with an elbow. Yuri damn well knows that he owes them a new pair and it better be a good one!
"I gotta say though, It's been a while since I was in an intense drive like that one. Pretty nostalgic if you ask me~!."
ah, hearing his full name belted like that again feels so... nostalgic. he can practically sense leblanc and the tweedles scrambling to arrest him like the good ol' days.
but that's hardly the situation he's in now-- he's got a driver to thwack! quite masterfully, in fact, his aim's hardly affected considering their opponent's neck-and-neck. he'll give it to them, their tenacity's impressive! too bad it isn't enough to withstand sunglasses to the face.
he gives the sorry bunch a lazy salute as they stray further and further behind, "see you suckers at the finish line!"
which doesn't take long at all! with indigo picking up speed for that final stretch, their kart crosses the checkered asphalt without a hitch!
"yeah!! and that's a wrap, indy," he bats their shoulder as they maneuver to a full-stop, "didn't doubt ya for a second!" (almost did, but aside from that...!).

Fireworks erupted overtop the city's centre where the giant hole usually could be found. Except now it was filled with a huge stadium! When had that happened!? As was often tradition in Spirale, plenty early risers would have their beauty sleep disturbed by the blaring of an announcement over the electronic devices in their possession.
"That's right, Jonathan! This is an exciting year for the Spirale Games! Well it's the first year, but that's what makes it so exciting!" Anything with a screen would have displayed video of Ofiuco's android body sitting at a sportscasting desk. But there was no one else present so who was she talking to? "We have a number of exciting events for teams to sign up for and we can't wait to see you out there!"
Of course the implication was that if they didn't see them out there then those who didn't participate wouldn't be reaping any of the rewards!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to our April / May event, the Spiral Games! As you can imagine we've taken inspiration from major sporting events, but this is closer to a celebration of many different skills and only some of the events are based on athleticism! You can find a full list of the events here so that this post isn't too cluttered!
So how is everything going to work?
Characters can participate in some events alone, but we encourage everyone to form teams of up to four characters! All of the team members don't need to participate in every thread if you don't want to but the option is there if you'd like! Teams will have no bearing on rewards (but it will make them easier) so there also isn't a limit of how many teams a character can be in to prevent a scenario where some characters are let out just because some people made teams early on.
If you would like to, you can give your team a name and even design a logo!
On the event list page you can see a list of events and the rewards you can earn from participating! Rewards can only be claimed by the team members who participate, so if you choose to do a one person drabble then only you get those rewards!
You can participate in as many events as you want, but the amount of Stars one character can earn from the event is capped at 500 Stars. This does not include the regular amount you get for event participation.
There will also be an unlock reward for this event, however there is a stipulation to this. In order to claim the unlock you must write at least 300 words with at least one character on your account that your muse has yet to interact with. So long as the thread is event related it will count, which is where teams could certainly help!
As always please feel free to send any questions you may have to the masterlist!
The event ends at 11:59:59PM EST on May 17th!

As soon as Barghest had made the decision to participate in the games, she of course knew that there was no other option for her but to attempt the most difficult course the colosseum had to offer. What, was she going to beat down something hopelessly weaker than her? That would be both unbecoming of her and, to be quite honest, not even worth the scant effort it would take to do. She was doing this more for her own sake than anything else, working to keep her blade and her skills sharp while her access to both was normally painfully limited, but even the crowd would grow bored of a dull, effortless 'spectacle'.
Teams were recommended, of course; she had asked the receptionist if there was a possibility of taking on a Tier 3 challenge by herself, but after looking at her like she'd grown a second head, they simply stressed that teams were recommended at that level of difficulty. That she could work with; she had commanded troops before, existed as part of an imitation of a knight's order, even if the latter was more a collection of individuals that tolerated each other than a true band of comrades. The trouble was that she didn't particularly know who to ask.
Melusine was still here, as was Baobhan Sith, but she would rather not ask Melusine, and she frankly had doubts as to whether Baobhan Sith could handle Tier 3.
Luckily, there happened to be three other people in the lobby at the time with various levels of eagerness for a fight. Before long, the four of them are gathered in what could be called the colosseum's waiting room, Barghest crossing her arms underneath her chest as she gazes out towards her soon-to-be teammates.
"It's likely we'll face both close-range and long-distance combat here, along with whatever else the organizers see fit to send our way. If any of you have any weak points now would be the time to mention them." She declares. "It's not a matter of pride. We fae are averse to iron; if something is your iron, then I don't want to find out about it when it's in the middle of running you through."

It'll be fun and new, but it may also be troublesome! — that thought repeated in Hiyori's head until he both requested support and signed up for the hedge maze. Physically gifted and probably willing to join if offered payment, Constantine was this first one he called for this competition. Céline, Constantine's sister and Hiyori's interesting coworker, was also invited. He wanted to see how well her dancer skill translated to agility and grace in this kind of scenario.
Since the challenge began, Hiyori had been moving at a brisk but attentive pace. He'd only caught sight of little inconsistencies so far (slightly different flooring; a glint of a wire), which saved himself trouble but left the cat's — and his teammates' — current position a mystery.
"Constantine! Céline! Can you hear me~?" he called out toward the distant ceiling with his hand curled around his mouth to amplify it. "Have you spotted the cat recently~?"

WOOPS. They didn't mean to startle their partner like that! "Yeah! It belongs to us but everyone else uses it more than we use it ourselves." Indigo's own eyes look over and
DING DING DING.
CORRECT!
Indigo looks back at Marcille with the fattest grin, "See? I guess in a way, if someone speaks in third person they'd be using their name a lot too but y'know."
✲ Marcille was good at thinking outside of the box, but sometimes if a question was too obscure then she had a bad habit of overthinking things. All it took was taking a wrong turn to end up in that position, to get stuck in a confusing loop that was actually as far removed from the correct answer as possible.
"WHAT!?" Indigo yelling her name had totally taken her off guard and had basically jump-scared the elf. She almost clawed her face in the process until she calmed down and thought about. "Wait. Are you saying that a name would fit the solution?" She looked over to see if it was correct or not.

SPIRALE GAMES EVENT: RANK IT TO THE TOP
Despite unfortunate circumstances that came about recently, the Games would not yet come to an end. There were still prizes to be won and talent to be put out on display, and Shiver found that opportunity with their team in one of the performing studios they'd seen on TV monitors around the city. Instruments and other musical equipment were present and prepared for use, with the camera aimed right at center-stage to put their first show in the city out there.
Even without a complete band between them, this new alliance could prove fruitful yet!
"Marina! At that concert we played together, you said you've memorized every Deep Cut song ever written, right?" Their fingers rap against the folded-up fan they hold, a smile cropping up as they worked up their own anticipation. "I think we can put together something special to send out on the Spirale airwaves, don't you agree?"

He was never entirely fond of fighting, but there was something to be said about how adrenaline allowed him not to focus on much else, and well, he didn't quite want to continue dwelling on the wilted crystal flower sitting in his room.
(Really, he should find a job. Maybe work at a library, or create his own agency...)
His previous match had gone off without a hitch. Not needing to hold back given the requirements of third tier combat, and it felt good to have his own abilities back.
Klaus did, however, recognize the man who next walked into the arena.
"Ah, Aurelius, right?" The man who had called himself Aurelius in the museum had seemed practically normal, although many preternatural beings certainly did.
"As the entry requirements have already been stated, I won't be holding back. I hope you will do the same." A short bow before he flicks his wrist, gauntlet coming into view and resting on his knuckles.
A veritable brick wall, Klaus von Reinherz is the sturdy opponent between anyone facing him and the next round.

he'd signed up for this, they all had, but...
...standing alone at his entrance to the maze, already having lost sight of the damn cat they were supposed to be catching? it was daunting. he really needed to stop finding himself in labyrinths.
Titus shakes his head, hair flying wildly, and clears his thoughts. this was child's play! his sense of direction was excellent, he could practically sniff out traps, and he was athletic enough to catch up with a crafty feline. he hoped. armed with nothing but a little stamp, he was ready to get a move on, but instinct kept him from just running forward. he'd been nearly caught in his fair share of traps before and wasn't keen on adding to the list.
cupping his hands around his mouth, Titus tilts his head to the sky and yells.
"Hey--! Ari, Zev, Mercie--! Ya hear me? Be careful out there!"

Tonfas in hand, Hansol is ready to strike down on these wolf beasts. These creatures must be absolute childplay for someone like War and they were certainly no match to a Gumiho like herself.
"Don't worry, War! We'll get through the tiers and go against stronger opponents." She can only hope at least. With that reassurance, blue flames ignite under her feet and around her tonfas as she swiftly bolts toward her opponents. Cutting them down wouldn't be difficult, but they certainly wouldn't go down without a fight!
War grunted in approval at Hansol's response. It seemed like his judgement hadn't been misplaced. She would be an ally with heart.
--
TIER ONE
"Hrm.." He listened to her speak; then he felt a surge of power return to him. Although some of it seemed to still be missing, of course. His chaos was still locked away, he could feel it. Though perhaps that was for the best. This was only a silly game after all.
He wordlessly walked beside Hansol into the arena. The first enemies were announced to be some kind of wolf-beasts. War would've complained about the simplicity of the opponents, but this wasn't about total carnage. It had something to do with team work, right?
Agh. If War hadn't been dying of boredom, he wouldn't have agreed to this at all. Yet, he had...so he did.
As the 5 monster wolves were released into the arena, War reached back to grasp the hilt of his sword, Chaos Eater.

The idea of a little friendly competition didn't hurt. But Shadow wasn't entirely interested in forming a team just yet (he was sure someone would force him into it sooner rather than later) so, for now, he has chosen to go solo and be set up randomly with other participants who also want to tackle things alone for now.
It doesn't take long for him to get matched up with someone for the maze activity at least. And once they're given the objective, off into the maze they were ushered.
"Let's make quick work of this cat!" Wherever that sneaky creature has hidden itself to. He has a leaderboard he wants to get on.

@sanctummilitis - Spirale Racing
Decking out your car full of weapon isn't the way. It sound nice at first till someone throws a grenade in the passenger seat then KABOOM. It slow down the car and you don't get infinite ammo.
Neither is adding no weapon and defense. Between the trap and the other player underhanded method. You do need a couple of well time defense tricks.
A EXPERIENCE get away man know the right tools. This event forbid the use of ability. But Huey still got a tranq gun that not a part of his powers. His powers wouldn't do him any good at this stage.
He do need a partner. Someone either shoot or drive. One man can only go so far.
A shadow have approach the garage Huey making the modification for his car in. A competitor or.... a friend?
"Your interest in becoming Isola first winner of the Spirale Racing? Win or lose dinner is on me. Of course if we win the dinner be more lavish and....."
"YOUR MAJESTY?"
Oh yeah she might be a bit older. Losing that girlish twinkle in her eye. But she still the same height, still the same blonde hair and the ahoge as Huey did a instant dogeza that was so quick you can see the spark flying off of his knee.
This man truly have master begging for his life into a new form of art.
Have she finally come to finish him off? Did the younger version of her tell the older self about the whole experience and she knows he a rat and come to claim his head?"
"I...i don't believe we have the pleasure of meeting. I am...Huey. Huey Ponzi. Just a h....humble merchant trying to race. Are you perhaps interested in joining the race as a competitor or with this humble nobody.?"
Oh he don't got the read on the older Artoria yet. Huey feel like it's safer to play the cowardly jester then the common conman crook. Surely a king like her wouldn't slay some harmless coward.

THE COLOSSEUM: EXHIBITION MATCH
As part of the Spirale Games, the Colosseum will be holding a special exhibition match from today until the end of the event! There are two tiers available with different foes and team size maximums. Powers and weapons will be uncapped for both tiers barring anything that would instantly defeat a foe.
We also invite any musical performers to take the stage on the Colosseum's side to perform during the battles for a little extra flair!
TIER 1: THE SHADOWS
In teams of up to four you will face against The Shadows, a team of shadowy mimics that will take equally shadowy forms of the team members that challenge them. On top of adopting their appearances they will also copy the abilities and personalities of the challengers. As a result it will be important to compose your team with everyone's weaknesses in mind.
TIER 2: THE CHIMERA
A massive chimera as tall as skyscraper has appeared and the stage itself has been enlarged to accommodate its size. It has three heads: a lightning breathing lion's head, an ice breathing goat's head, and a fire breathing dragon's head, along with a snake tail with a gaze that can turn anyone who locks eyes to stone and a venomous bite that will paralyze anyone who fails the dodge check. It's also tough as nails and regular attacks won't do jack. There is no limit to how many people can challenge the Chimera all at once, but its durability and strength will scale to the strongest person in your group.
