'Oh, damn! you're giving ME the work?" Indigo laughs and nods, "no pressure, right?" There's no pressure at all. They're confident in that Mel will enjoy the samples.

"Alright. I'll be right back then." with that, Indigo has moved into the kitchen to start making the samples. In the meantime, appetizers and a drink of Melusine's choosing is placed on her table, "Here you are," One the of the servers says with a smile.

"If you suggest it I should try it then I'll gladly give it a chance." Better then choosing something randomly from the menu and landing on a meal that might've turned her off completely.

"Like a sample of everything. Only you get to choose what is put on the plate Indigo. To try and entice my taste buds to new and exciting tastes. So long as you put something in front of me I'll give it my honest thoughts. How does that sound for today?"

"Just curious. Of all the things to hit stuff with, you're hitting it with a sledgehammer. Was just curious why?"

" Hitting stuff with a sledgehammer. Why do you ask? "

"What do you think you're doing?'

"I got that a lot. So many were a tad bit surprised," they say with a laugh.

"Hmmm, from the menu here," at least the ones that were listed, Indigo's looking through them with a hum, "Have you tried scorpion before? It's pretty good if you know how to prepare it. "The Umber's Crust is the first appetizer that I thought of."

They continue going down the list, then pull out their phone to scan the QR code on the 'main course' section.

"And you can give *** ** **** a try if you want. One of our staffs came up with this one. A blend between Sunset Circuit and Tundra."

"You weren't kidding when you said you quite literally had a menu's worth of meals to put out for people." Not that she doubted Indigo's statement but it was surprising to see in person. Like seeing the dream come alive as opposed to hearing about it all the time.

"Would you suggest anything I haven't tried before of yours? I'm sure regardless of what you cook up it'll be delicious. But I suppose hearing it from you would help influence my choice."

"You'll learn that I'm the type to stick to what I say," They say proudly with their chest out. There's a playful tone to it all, of course. "Juuuust you watch." And he's got them stumped when asked what the name would be.

"Hmmmm...Not sure yet. As You Wish?" It had a nice sound to it for sure and it was fitting for the kind of restaurant Indigo had in mind.

"As you so claim."

He had only her word that she could do what she said. He chuckled at the answer, smirking. "Quite ambitious! That you have. Assuming, of course, they aren't empty words. I suppose I will see for myself once you open."

"What will you name this establishment?"

Damn, it sounds rough. Indigo doesn't know just what kind of thing Ena has to deal with, but it can't be easy. Even in their world, dealing with some of the djinns from the other areas was difficult.

"Damn, you really got your work cut out for you. Hey...Uh, for all that it's worth, you probably won't have to worry about any of that here. Not unless the Stars wants to throw something at you, but that shouldn't really be for awhile."

Though ENA doesn't have shoulders, just disembodied arms, they slump somewhat as she sighs, less annoyed.

"Thanks," she mutters under her breath. For what it's worth, she won't try to forget Indigo's name, either.

"... That's correct, yes. It's my current mission to locate the Genies and make my way to the Boss. I've dealt with one of them, identified a second, and found someone to organize the induction of the third."

"The Genie I spoke with, Theodora, she —"

"— she was such a PAIN! She unforgave me the second she realized who I was! And she only granted me one aspiration, that she had to approve of, and..."

"I don't want to talk about it."

"That's what i like to hear." To say that they're proud of this place would be an understatement! It's everything they had hoped it'd be and there's some touch that reminds them of Marcille, even if she is no longer here with them.

Man, she'd really love this place, too.

"Here. Check out the menu and let me know if there's anything that catches your eye, alright?"

"I'll admit I didn't expect it to look this comfy." Not that Mélusine really had anywhere else to compare to but even walking in had a completely different vibe from anywhere else she visited here.

"It's quite lovely though. In the "I wouldn't mind coming here anytime of the week" sense. You did a lovely job Indigo."

"Ena, got'cha~!" Indigo can tell that was frustrating. It wasn't what they intended to do-frustrate Ena, that is. They just wanted to make sure they had it right. "I won't forget it," they promise.

"So Ena, you haveeeee genies in your world, mm? What are they like?"

ENA perks up when Indigo says her name the first time — ENA, the way it's supposed to be said — but her good mood doesn't last very long. "What? No, it's..."

She looks at her name badge, notices the smudge, and groans. "Ugggghhhh...!" Frustrated, she smudges the whole thing out.

"You got it right the first time! It's ENA! ENA. ENA... Whatever, I don't care."

(Sure she doesn't.)

"HEY~! Welcome to Dream Djinner. It's not open yet, but glad you were able to come." Of course, Indigo had called Melusine over just before the doors to be open for the public.

"Told you that you'd be the first, right? What do you think? Looks pretty comfy and stuff, huh? Decided on Fibonacci for its aesthetic."

It gets Indigo laughing at least. It's very her to reply in such a manner, after all! Indigo's been around Melusine to know enough, at least!

"Thanks, Mel! Once I set the location and figure out what I wanna do, you're going to taste test all the food~! Good luck. It'll be a lot." They are teasing. They wouldn't expect her to eat EVERYTHING that Indigo'd make!

The evening continues on like this. The two are talking and sharing.

"Whatever you think will be the most enjoyable to you." Really not the greatest answer to her question, almost tossing it right back towards the djinn without giving any extra thought on the matter.

"Knowing you it'll help get everyone's attention as well as be catchy for people to remember. And if you need to run it by me or a friend we'll be sure to give any feedback we need."

If anything that was maybe a bit closer to criticism then anything. But it was better if nobody told the servant that...

"Hm. Interesting name. People call you ENA? Or do they call you Ana? Maybe a combo of both? AENA? EANA?" Okay, so maybe they're doing too much, but they're curious. Innocently so, really.

"You can call me Indigo. Some people like to shorten it. Call me Indy or something. Call me whatever is comfortable for you."

ENA thinks to herself. If the Genies showed up, would that mean she'd have to get back to work? She isn't sure. And it's been a while since she's heard anything from Froggy, whose fax number stopped working...

She taps her polygonal hand against her chin, making a sound like crystalline chiming.

"My name?" she says, coming out of her shell. That's right, people don't know who she is around here.

She holds out a badge attached to her suspenders. It reads something like...

Unfortunately, the ink appears to be smudged, making it impossible to tell if the first letter is an "E", "A", or something else.

"You got'cha. Bring all your friends~!" Melusine, of course, would get the best kind of service along with whoever she brought in.

"Thanks for comin' in and joining me for dinner, by the way. Didn't realize I could use the company!" They laugh with a shrug of their shoulder.

"Mm, what do you think I should name the place? There's a lot of great places to put the restaurant in, hmmmmm." Ideas, ideas.

"I look forward to it then." At the very least she'll get to be the first one to taste test food. Although depending on how experimental Indigo gets that may not be the greatest accolade for Mélusine to wear proudly...

"Though make sure to send me where it is too. I might try to invite someone else if I they are free that afternoon."

"I wouldn't have any other taste testers." They trust Melusine's tastebuds anyway. She wouldn't say something was good if it weren't (not that Indigo ever had to worry about how good their cooking was.)

"Alright! You sold me. Next time, you'll be the first to check out the restaurant!"

"Not a bad idea. I think plenty of people would agree with a train of thought like that." Warm meals were always the best way to cozy on up after all. At least that's what Mélusine could gather from her own experiences and those that tried to open up new avenues for the servant.

"If you ever need a taste tester I wouldn't be opposed to helping you out. If you'd have me that is..."

"Yeah. But it doesn't mean that the Genies you know won't ever show up. There's a chance that they could. Not impossible." It's at least something they can give her. Even if there was a chance that it wouldn't happen.

Indigo shakes their head, flips their long braid over their shoulder, "Nah. You just arrived, I'm assuming, and it's only natural that you'd look for something familiar."

"What's your name?'

With a heavy breath, ENA pulls herself together. The ghostly pallor on her face dissipates at once, and she returns to her usual white-and-red hue.

She guesses that this is what life is like now.

"Alright, so... not the Genie I know. I take it we're a rather long way from the Doors..."

"My deepest apologies for the misconvenience," she says, tenting her hands and bowing her head. "Might there be any way I can make this up to you?"

Indigo, when they think about it, is stripping this poor girl from what she knows. "Yeah, the cigarette is just a cigarette. I smoke." They feel a little bad.

"It'll take time, sure, but there's a lot to do here. Look not all genies are the same around different worlds, just like you'll come across different kinds of monsters that are different but share the same kind of name."

"I don't know what you're on about, smoke and boss, but yeah. I don't have a smoke machine and I'm my own boss." What a weird kid. Though, maybe not so weird, considering the home she may have come from.

"Whatever it is you had to go through back in your world doesn't really follow you here in this one." Their finger moves from the trigger, and they release a sigh.

"Wanna start over?"

"Hard to imagine, right? But it isn't really impossible for me."

Indigo laughs, nodding at the questions thrown their way, "If you wanted a three layer cake or whatever else. Anything you want. The goal is to make whatever the customers want." Even if it seemed like something that may be out of the norm.

"Sounds like I may have caught your attention, mm?"

"All? Anything I or any guest want?"

He raises a brow at the answer. How vague!.. Though technically not unrealistic... The only chef he knew was rather multidisciplined, so maybe it wasn't that impossible.

"Even if I want a cake? Or caramel apples? Dishes outside the usual bounds of a tavern?" Rafal asked with a tilted head. If so... Hmm. His interest was much more peaked.
