The fingers of her clawed gauntlet grasped into the ground, burrowing into the earth before Cordana pulled back her hand and looked down onto the dirt she held. The earth seemed barren of life. In a way, it was as if it had corroded from it, yet it wasn't dry, held together by magic and water, hints that whatever had occured to this soil could be undone. From experience, Cordana knee that to be true as well.

Closing her eyes, the Felwarden stood tall and straightened her back, her head turning left and right as she tried to make out wherever the silent shimmer of azerite were guiding her to. Until this spot, they had been quite noticeable to her eyes, even though they were but a sliver in the early night air. She wondered what Azeroth was intending of her. She couldn't have been sent here for no reason, could she now? Again, from experience, she knew that wasn't the case. Usually thought it had to do with the old gods, which - as Cordana considered her past - wasn't too unusual a task, but here she couldn't feel the traces of void energies or even the faints whispers that always surrounded her mind. As terrible as they were,right now she would have been glad to at least perceive something along the lines.

At least then she could have answered the question, as to why she was here.

Said question dound utself peculiarly answered for the moment as the tree in front of her started to move. Blinking, the nightelf tilted her head, as branches shook and fell to the ground, dead leaves falling to reveal what had been in front of her all along. The wickerbeast was several times atller than her and from the way it was made was very easy to be mistaken as a tree. Swiftly, the former warden darted backwards and disappeared inside the brushes, kneeling down to observe for a moment. This thing was meant to ambush. Whom, she couldn't tell. There was noone here who knew she was alive and even less so anyone who knew that she was within Drustvar of all places. Only her friend, the nigjtelven mage har managed to guess it and that only due to her request for a portal to the outskirts of Tiragarde, a place where noone would be able to see her. Since then, four days had passed in which she had travelled unseen through the mountains, dispatching of several elementals and creatures that all had the stench of death nailed to them like a coffin, ready to embrace her or any other lost soul on the way down to the red forests of this land.

Cordana hadn't visited Kul'Tiras in quite some time. She was only informed of Magni about the Islandstate's current situation after Jaina had been taken prisoner. And that had only been by chance due to how Magni had seemingly been told about the Nightelven's and the Mage's connection in earlier years. Since then, she had been eager to return here, but it had proven to be quite hard to accomplish such a feat. Azeroth had sent her on messions all across of the two major continents. She had been surprised not to be sent to Northrend or Pandaria as well. Though, she had also been lucky not to.

Cordana grasped the pendant that Jûlinn had given her at Yggdrasil or Vordrassil as it was more commonly known. A deep breath filled her lungs, as she watched the wicker being move. It stepped closer to her, but before Cordana could decide on if it was there for her or not after all, it turned and reached up again. New dead leaves and branches sprouted forth and filled its body. Cordana knew what that meant. Her hand reached below her cloak and grasped her weapon. She was ready to jump. But she would have to wait for whoever this ambush was set up for to arrive, before she could make her move.

"If I learned anything from you, Maiev ... then I guess it is the right time to strike.", she whispered below her breath while she kneeled further into the brushes.
