Half-moon eyes stare at you, one eyebrow comically raised as if to ask what you're up to. Many things, really. Some important, some less. Some so annoyingly burning that you have to test them right this instant or you feel like you're going to go crazy. Even more than you have already.

Just reach your hand out. The worst that can happen is the Universe decides this is a blindingly stupid idea and corrects it.

Ah. Hmm. Huh.

You're not entirely sure what you expected. They look just as surprised as you feel. Even though they don't have a proper mouth, you can imagine it opening and closing silently before twisting into an unamused frown. Yet they make no move to pull away. Rather, they seem to resign themselves to the situation, head tilting with a quiet exhale through the nose. The pointed spike slides in your hand with the motion, its edges digging into your glove. You kind of wish you were holding it with your bare hands. It doesn't feel warm nor cold and it's light as if made of glass yet durable. Strangely, it also feels like holding strands of hair, soft and thin, unruly, sticking in every direction.

❝ Is your hair still dyed? ❞

❝ ... what. ❞ ( 'What kind of question is that? Why does it matter?' You want to laugh. )

❝ Your hair. The roots have pretty much grown out, but the loops kept resetting them. Nothing visible, of course, but a funny thing to keep going back and forth. ❞

If looks could kill, you'd be dead ten times over just from daring to touch them. Which, fair enough. You'd not have the nicest reaction either to somebody sticking their hand in your hair like this.

Hmm. Funnily, you thought about letting your hair grow out entirely. Isa used to be the one who helped you touch your roots up, always so careful to not touch you more than necessary. The number of times you were ready to doze off midway through the procedure is too high to recall.

Almost completely black again, huh. Not like it matters now. No matter how much you wish you could twirl it around your finger, now it's nothing more than a shard of cold warmth that twinkles ever so slightly in the shade offered by the Favour Tree, edge you trace lost in thoughts. What does it feel like to them? If you haven't been touched in hundreds of loops, they must have gone thousands and then some. Are you the first one to touch them in so long?

❝ Pathetic. ❞

Yeah. It doesn't matter which one of you actually said it, it's right.

( Your hand has found their 'cheek' somehow. It's just as chubby as your own. ... Is it? It's just a jagged line. Hmm. )

You kind of want to stay with them, though. Maybe it'll be fine if you use a loop for your own selfishness. You can tell Loop also has further questions.

This is the closest i get to shipping them, they have something much stranger than friendship/romance and something deeper than hate. I'm back in the fucking building again!!! (being into isat actively) and also pondering if anyone knows of any sif/loop fics that like see them like how I do... they are taking up too much brain space rn istg

everything about this star person is a novelty for Loopfrin. They had a whole moment when Bonnie handed them a candy with a crinkly wrapper. imagine how off foot they'd get after coming back from a loop and this star person remembers.

Siffrin taking as many chances to casually touch Loopfrin. Arm slung around their shoulders. Booping their nose. Holding their face and reassuring that they're real. Hugging them- getting them feeling present in their body once more.

hi!! do you have any advice for doing the sprite edits?

Oh man, I assume you mean the ISAT sprite edits I've been doing? Oof, I don't really have a solid piece of advice, but I could walk you through my process!

Usually when I want to do sprite edits for Loopfrin or Loop, I go onto the wiki and just search for what would look cool in that form. What if I made the possessed Loop sprite into a Loopfrin? That sounds cool as hell, so yoink.

When I started, I would create the canvas size to be similar width and length to the actual sprites. So my canvas is a bit bigger than the actual sprites. You can use the original dimensions if you want it to be the same size, I just like mine to be a bit bigger so I can get details in. But for comparison sake, here are the dimensions:

Another thing I do differently is that I actually redraw the sprite poses completely; since my canvas is bigger, making the actual sprite bigger would blur things, so I just use it as a visual guide rather than fully tracing it. Below is an angry Loop sprite (based on Siffrin's sprite), with the original Loop pose coloured in red and overlayed to show the difference:

You don't have to do this, it's honestly easier if you take the actual sprites and edit on top of them. But if you're planning on doing different poses, you can be a bit loose with it, especially with the expressions. Some of Siffrin's expressions don't transfer as well to a Loop (because they got no mouth, it's just eyes baby!!!!), so I usually get a little bit creative (like below with the Loop sprite edit and the Siffrin sprite its referencing). You don't have to be super exact, unless you're trying to fool people that these are sprites in the game, hehe.

Other than that, make sure you make lots of layers. If you're using the same pose but making different expressions, it's probably easier to keep the one base outline and then have several layers for the different expression outlines and colours. Mine's a bit messy, but you get the gist of it.

Other than that, just have fun with it! If you're not trying to replicate the style exactly, use whatever brush and style! My brush is more pencil like compared to ISAT's actual outlines, and I definitely took more liberties with Loopfrin's hair than how it usually looks on Siffrin.

If by chance you are asking about non-ISAT sprite edits, it's the same concept. Layers are your friend!! Use them liberally (but also name them so you don't get lost in the sauce)!!!

yesterday or some time. i was in a random roblox game. in my loopfrin avatar. to my surprise this dude says "thanks for not killing me siffrin" cuz its like WOA. WILD ISAT FAN? and i did not have the heart to tell this fellow why i wasn't actually siffrin. it was very clear he had not finished the game yet, and he had not acknowledged that my display name was loop. and i was like oh boy.

Stardust still uses he/they Loopfrin uses they/them (the de-personalization already did its damage)
