girl, i apologize for expecting so much of you when you were barely making it day to day. its okay to be in safe mode and do the bare minimum to stay alive. its okay if you forgot to shower or eat. its okay if you couldn't clean or write like you wanted. surviving was more important than any of that and you should've never felt guilty for doing what you could with what you had. i love you for getting through those days, for pushing yourself when you had so little left to give. thank you for surviving. thank you for taking another step forward even when you didn't know where that step would take you. without you, without your struggles and courage to endure them, i wouldn't be here today.

I know it's cliché. I know many have said it. But please, tell your loved ones you love them. Talk to them. Don't be caught on an argument or a fear you hold. Give them support. Make plans and do them. Not at an indeterminate time in the future. Make those plans concrete. Cherish every last moment. Draw out the goodbyes and see-you-laters. Take pictures, write prose in messages, really listen to their voice, find comfort in the familiarity. Ask things about them. Stories. Find out something new about them. Love. Love like you've already drawn your last breath. Love like you're unshaken by the world. Love like you understand you might not get another day with them. Please just love. Please.
