i will say, regardless of opinion on if this episode went the way you wanted or not, its really nice to see an episode so. personal? like we Know a good amount of events in this episode were really meaningful for Glenn in his struggles with his anger/frustration because it ultimately resulted in him recognizing and being grateful for the kindness of strangers and the people he cares about, and seeing that put into sunny, which means so much to all of them, is really amazing to me. plus being there for the entire thing is just insanely cool. like seeing the idea go from a nice little story glenn told on the podcast to a great and poignant episode of television is just mad. art is crazy and beautiful and weird and stupid.

So number 1 is Kazuya (obviously. gesticulates at pfp) I talk abt him enough I feel like so I don't feel the need to elaborate.

Number two... I'd have to give to Washizu. Like I knew I was gonna like him from reading his character summary before touching Akagi, and now that I've finished the manga and seen everything that goes down there (isaip titlecard: "Washizu goes to Hell") he's definitely been cemented into my list of faves. I also just read [what's translated of] his spinoff and, as goofy as it was, it was a load of fun and I was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time.

I also really like Kaiji as a protagonist. Love that he's a loser and resentful over things and willing to hit back over them, but also at his core is fundamentally a good guy who wants to believe that people are good at heart.

As for dislike... hm. I don't really actively dislike many of FKMT's characters, at worst I find a handful of them boring. Characters like Kurosawa can be frustrating and could be handled better but like. I get the point FKMT is trying to make about the intersection of toxic masculinity and being a complete loser. Kinda.

Oooooh wait. While I don't dislike Kaiji pt6 as much as a lot of people do, those two middleaged businessmen (who I can't even remember the names of). Fuck them. Every arc they're in after their introduction is the actual worst part of the series. The way that a fucking car chase managed to be boring. The way the two dudes do a complete 180 and somehow land a date, when their entire characterization up till that point was about how that would never happen (it only happened because it was a good excuse to give the asian trio a new van). That fucking arc with the dog. All-around miserable.
