for some reason i have been reeling over the idea of daryl being infatuated with this, softer/ditsy girl who seems to tuck tail and run to him every little chance that she has, despite the fact that she can hold her own. she knows she has him wound up around her little finger, and he knows she knows it, but he won't do anything about it because there's just something about it that makes him feel whole? like he's needed fully for something that isn't his expertise or skill, but instead something that's new and foreign to him, yet she soaks every last bit of it up. and it's absolutely princess treatment around every corner - he wants to give her everything.

and when there's something that's bothering her that's out of his control, like terrible cramps or a sore hip, he tries so hard to be stoic about it, with 'alright, girl, 'yer fine,' but lets her curl up into his lap and have a good cry about it while he rubs her back </3

“It’s broken,” you whimper out, staring at the shattered shards of your favorite mug on the ground. It was an off white color with delicate flowers decorating it, and the second you’d seen it in the cabinets of the house that Deanna had given you you fell in love with it. Daryl scoffs.

“Ain’t a big deal, kid. Got plenty of cups.” He stops you when you crouch to pick up the pieces with a muttered “I got it,” bending down to do it himself. You huff.

“It was just so pretty. Don’t see much pretty stuff nowadays, it was nice to get to use it.” You can’t help how dejected you sound. Daryl just grunts, standing and tossing the broken ceramic in the trash. He gives you an awkward pat on the shoulder.

“You’ll survive.”

@flowerbeom (kat) - kat, like the rest of those in this category, is someone i’ve been following for a while now as i came back to tumblr because of got7. kat and i haven’t really talked much but always interact with rb/s and likes and i love that JSDJSDKJDSJ that being said kat’s tags are always so enjoyable to read. + it’s so funny as well that when we actually got to talking we didn’t realize we had a lot in common! a very generous friend. gave me a yugyeom pc even though i’m literally from another continent. 😭

@tuanzie (joanna) - content queen. i looove how joanna’s work has a trademark look to them! they’re always so gorgeous and smooth-looking. i love how joanna’s able to speak her mind and would not take shit from people. i see her as someone brave, but not too out there! also someone you can rely on to put reposters on hit lists mwah<3

thinking about daryl just letting you DOTE on him

like he finally lets that angry guard down and lets you just… sit down with him, cleaning under his finger nails, washing his hair. just holding him because this man just needs to be HELD

when you go to shampoo his hair at first he tenses up but he slowly melts as you rub at his scalp and brush your fingers through his locks. he lets out a deep breath that isn’t quite a sigh but you know it means he’s finally really giving in to being pampered.

“You don’t have to be tough all the time,” you murmur. “Especially not in here. Not with me, Daryl.”

he doesn’t say anything but he reaches out to hold your waist, giving it a little squeeze, and you take that as a silent thank you

daryl finding you tucked into rick's side one evening when he was out late hunting, both of you asleep, it takes everything in him to not ease you away and take you for himself. instead, he just stays close, finding a space a few feet off from the two of you.

until a few hours pass and he feels a gentle rapping on his shoulder, only to find you're gazing up at him with this teary-eyed expression and a 'didn't get to get a cuddle."

plz you can just make out the way his eyes go all soft in the darkness and his hands quickly find your hips where you stand beside the armchair he was dozing in.

“Didn’t wanna wake you, hon. Or Rick, y’know he’s a light sleeper.” Daryl whispers. You sniffle and nod, and he guides you into his lap with a gentle “c’mere.”

You situate yourself atop him, head against his chest, and his arms settle around your back to hold you close.

“Catch anything?” You keep your voice hushed, careful not to wake the man on the couch a few feet away.

“Couple squirrels.”

“Mm, my favorite.” You say dryly. Daryl snorts softly.

“Don’t gotta eat it, brat.” He grumbles. Then, more softly, “Still got a couple hours till the sun’s up. Get some more sleep.”

saw this knife in a tiktok with a pink bow tied around the hilt of it and it just made me think of how daryl would always roll his eyes at everything you ‘beautify’ such as tying pink bows around things, or going out of your way to get a pink-handled knives sheidhdjrbdj

“The hell is that?” Daryl’s looking at the pink ribbon you tied around the width of your knife sheath as you strap it to your hip.

“Oh, thought it would make it look a bit nicer! Isn’t it pretty?” You say with a grin. Daryl scoffs.

“It ain’t there to look ‘pretty’, kid. It’s there for you to use it.”

“I know that. It’s not like it gets in the way or anything.” You draw your knife easily to prove your point. “See?”

Daryl just stares at you for a moment before shaking his head in bemusement. “Whatever you say, princess.”
