Lilia of (Briar) Valley = Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley is one of my fave flowers.
Lilia Vanrouge just encapsulates the meaning of the flower:
Motherhood - the love he has for Malleus and Silver, does it really need to be said? He literally went from “kids are annoying” to “I miss those day when” when he mentions the boys.
Joy and Love - the love he has for meleanor and Levan, the love it took to hatch Malleus and wake Silver, his ability to change because of it, etc.
Purity of Heart and Soul - his younger self might say otherwise, but despite it all, he gave Silver and co a chance to leave and he protected them and fed them during a time of war. When humans by all means should have been hated even if it is a dream
New Beginnings - someone who literally changed, General Lilia Vanrouge to Lilia Vanrouge (the father)
Sympathy for the Departed - His grief for meleanor and Levan, yes, but I also raise you Knight of Dawn and Princess Leia as well. ‘Fae and humans are alike. We just want to protect the ones we love.’
Life’s Purpose - In short, how he changed from General Vanrouge to Lilia Vanrouge. He has a purpose, it’s his family.
Death - if the flower is eaten, it can cause death. You know, like Lilia, with his hatchet (he wouldn’t even need it, his bare hands are enough)

I currently don't feel... That positive. So maybe I'll save sunflowers for another time. Huh... I think... I would like the flowers to have a very neat and tidy look.
...I feel... Very particular about how I arrange things. I think I'll enjoy arranging flowers just for that... I can... Choose what or how... To arrange it...
Um! But yes! I do have different emotions towards these three! (,,>﹏<,,) Hopefully, you can help! While I am grateful for all...
Yara: Are there flowers for... Overcoming hardships? Maybe resilience? Purity... Strength. Perseverance.
Rey: Patience. Warmth. Joy. Peace. Love-
Ronnie: Kindness. Protectiveness. Safety.
Hello, Lene! It's been a while. (´。• ◡ •。`) ♡
I think I finally have a proper favorite flower now. I think white roses weren't... Really the answer you wanted before. ꒰ᐢ⸝⸝⸝⸝⸝ᐢ꒱⸒⸒
Plumeria... Would you happen to know the flower meaning of them?
- 🦊 Aubrey
Lene lights up at the ask. She immediately started typing:
oh….hi aubrey…i hope you’re doing well….thank you for the ask…
plumerias….theyre also called frangipanis…they’re found in hot climates, mostly….popular in hawaii…
they symbolize a lot of things…but mostly endurance with hardships…perseverance…and new beginnings…it’s very pretty and fitting for you…

Lost in the Book with Stitch Flower Language:
🌺Hibiscus🌺:
General meaning: You are perfect, delicate beauty, youth, fame, joy, happiness, and personal glory. Hawaii’s state flower.
Pink: rare beauty, love and care, more of platonic love.
Red: love, desire, passion, youth, beautiful. In hinduism, can represent the goddess Kali, who represents life, time, death, and change.
Yellow: cheerfulness, positive self-image, self empowerment.
White: enlightenment, I respect you,  you belong here, healing progression, belonging.
Orange: spirituality, purity, enlightenment, and divine grace. Promotes emotional balance, calmness, and physical healing.
Purple (??? not sure on this one, it could be a darker shade of pink but included anyways): wealth, royalty, wisdom, and knowledge.
Fun Facts bout the Hibiscus:
Greek mythology:  Adonis would turn into the hibiscus flower to stop the quarrel between Aphrodite and Persephone.
Orange Hibiscus in a Dream: represents creative energy, growth, and passion. It is a reminder that you have the power to create your own life. Dreaming of an orange hibiscus indicates you might be undergoing a spiritual awakening or that you need to pay attention to the guidance and signs of the universe. Can also indicate a sense of joy, positivity, and optimism. Additionally, it can also express confidence and empowerment in your personal and professional endeavors. (This is literally book 7 in a flower).
Orange Hibiscus symbolism: Some culture, it represents the Sun God and represents the energy and vitality of the of the life-giving sun. (Funny because Lilia has been in a lot of Sun events 😂).
Medicine: Teas using this can interfere with blood pressure and diabetic meds. Which is interesting because Silver chose Foxglove in the Bunny Event, which helps with cardiac output.

I'm tired! So no gif! Slim month for reading, but I did some neat crafts and made great progress on Secret Knitting Project I. Kicked some ass at Project Sekai, started rewatching Leverage, life goes on.
Tumblr media
The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten ⭐⭐ - A strong start, but it quickly went downhill once we got to the court. It was boring, everyone sucks, and the magic is not as cool as it originally seemed to be.
Among Thieves by MJ Kuhn ⭐½ - I was SO hyped for this when it was released. It's been sitting on my shelf since because of who I am as a person, like an IMPOSTER. Took more than half the book just to get to the heist, and the heist wasn't even GOOD. Too many POVs, no one felt fleshed out enough, and the Secrets were just handed to the reader in the first third. It will no longer live on my shelf.
Mislaid in Parts Half Know by Seanan McGuire ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - not my favorite Wayward book, but still enjoyable. I thought it rehashed the ending of Antsy's last book a little too much, but it was nice to see more of her and go back to the Store. Also loved seeing Kade's Door and Cora's ending.
I have one (1) concrete book plan for April, and that's Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch. Consider me successfully bullied (friendly). I very much want to finish Secret Knitting Project I so I can move on to Secret Sewing Projects and Momther's Blanket I'm still waiting on a few audio holds too, so that will be fun for crafting purposes. Haven't been in the mood to do much art, but I have some fun ideas for paint! Let's go!

A while ago I received a beautiful painting of Eishi in the mail from @kitsoa!! I've been meaning to post pictures of it but I so rarely have physical objects I wanted a proper photoshoot to do it justice <3
When I first saw this I was absolutely blown away by the colors. These magenta-maroon hues aren't ones I associate with urban cityscapes at all and yet it's beautiful and dreamlike. There are a lot of poignant moments of loneliness in this series and this piece really captures that feeling, in my opinion. I almost feel like crying when I look at it sometimes. Kitsoa just has a way with color I can never hope of coming close to; I often look at her artworks and think, "Ah, her brain's just wired in a fundamentally different way from mine." (NOT a lamentation btw-- I consider it a blessing that we are put on this earth to show each other pictures of that which the other could not conceive of)
I have it up on my wall with sticky tack (didn't want to put tape on the front in case it got damaged when I inevitably have to move away) and I look at it all the time. I love it so much!! Thank you!!
