I’ve mostly been tripping through the whole mood spectrum

Last weekend I absolutely blacked out. I only remember like, getting breakfast on Saturday, searching for something online later that night(don’t remember what), and then talking with Nacho on Sunday night.

I don’t remember anything else. Not a single thing :x.

I’m not in a low, I’m more in the higher end (like 7-9/10) of the mood spectrum.

Which is probably why I blacked out last weekend. I remember hitting an 8/10, feeling really really good, and then nothing else, really.

Basically — (cause I’m sure this looks wild, LOL), I’ve just been kind of out of my mind. — Not really myself. (Imagine me if I drank 32 shots of espresso at once.)

Like I had so much energy at work (my skin/insides felt like lightning ⚡️) that my hands were shaking uncontrollably and I was fkin ZOOMIN through my work.

(My boss didn’t say anything, so I’m assuming I didn’t make any mistakes 👻)

Mmm— That and the intrusive thoughts (who I’ve named Kyle <33. Absolute prick.) have just been constant chatter in my mind.

To the point that I think “Stop.” maybe 100 times or more — just constantly throughout the day. Sometimes I have to imagine myself fist fighting the intrusive thoughts (Kyle <33).

Which sounds wild but it’s just Ikki and Vice fighting in Revice episode 2.

Tldr;

Definitely been in some manic highs since last friday, I’m okay (lol), I know enough about myself to stay at home / lock the doors and what not when I’m like this.

I also blame Nacho because they wanted to do a poetry slam (just on the spot) and the prompt was haikus 🧍🙈💀

I'm re-reading the Discworld series for reasons, and honestly the most relatable part of reading these as an adult is how many of the protagonists start out being tired, used to their little routine and vaguely disgruntled by the interruption of the Plot. Sam Vimes wants to lie drunk in a gutter and absolutely doesn't want to be arresting dragons. Rincewind is yanked into every situation he's ever encountered, though he'd much rather be lying in a gutter too. (Minus the alcohol. Plus regretting everything he's ever done said witnessed or even heard about fourth-hand in his whole life.) Granny Weatherwax is deeply suspicious of foreign parts and that includes the next town over; Nanny has leaned into the armor of "nothing ever happens to jolly grannies who terrorize their daughters-in-law and make Saucy Jokes"

Only the young people don't seem to have picked up on this---and that's fortunate, because someone has to run around making things happen, if only so Vimes and Granny and Rincewind have a reason to get up (complaining bitterly the whole time) and put it all to rights. Without Carrot, Margrat, Eric, etc. these characters don't have that reason; they're likely to stay in the metaphorical gutter and keep wondering where it all went wrong or why anything has to change.

............well, that's not quite true. You get the sense that Vetinari knows how much certain people hate the Plot. And as the person sitting behind the metaphorical lighting board of Ankh-Morpork, he takes no small pleasure in forcing the Plot-haters specifically to stand up, and say some lines.

Now Dan is no coward. He’s not. 

But this stupid child body does have an effect on his reactions to things and honestly it’s a horrible thing that’s too small and too weak for him to use all his abilities. He could barely manage a fireball if he concentrated, yet everything caught fire with a mere outburst! His control was utterly gone, and a tantrum resulted in having to wear a stupid child leash backpack. 

It wasn’t like he was really a child, and it wasn’t like he’d get lost or some stupid shit that Danny would insist. Ugh, this isn’t even fair, technically he was older than him yet was stuck in a smaller body that he kept tripping over! 

Urgh, he’s even insisting on rewarding ‘good behavior’ and shit- must have talked to Jazz or something- because… Oh. No he wants the constellation bear, give! His star bear now, no takes back and, urgh, stupid baby body! 

Well, on the other hand, it’s utterly hilarious how much Danny sputters whenever he calls him Mom, not to mention strangers’ utter befuddlement. He ignores how Danny seems to be trying his best to live up ro the title. 

But! As he was saying, he’s no coward! He’s also not an idiot though, and having no control over his powers isn’t exactly a good thing. It’s really not a good thing when there’s a murderous-looking hero that he thinks he might have maimed in the future- which they apparently remember- staring down at him. So, he has to call in the big guns to fix this. 

“Mom, there’s a creepy fruitloop staring at me!” “There’s WHAT?!” Hah. Take that hero he doesn’t remember the name of.

Watched Pyramids of Mars and... yeah I'm obsessed with this guy

I love how fully I saw the tv glow leans into the more violent metaphors in transitioning. How you have to kill your past self, how you have to kill the kid you were. How you have to bury them and walk away with bloody hands. And that’s something trans media shys away from because, it isn’t palatable to the cis audience, you also have to appeal to. You have to make sympathize with you. It is difficult to sympathize with a murder.

But that’s why isttg excels in its horror genre. A place where queer people have always been and where blood and gore is commonplace. Where you can stand as bloody as you want and no one bats an eye.

Trans-ness isn’t always pretty or easy or comfortable. It rarely is in my experience. And to see a major movie show that, in all its uncomfortable gross glory is awe inspiring.

It’s never too late, grab a shovel.

forever annoyed at the lack of non-woven jedi garments. excuse you, fibrecraft is the basis of society. where are they getting their cloth from? are they weaving it themselves? are they spinning it themselves? where is the knitwear. you cannot tell me that there are no sweaters in the jedi order. there are probably hideous sweaters made from fourteen different colours of yarn because they're made from the wool leftover from other projects. all of the colours manage to clash. and embroidery is just too good for teaching patience. hand-sewing in general is good and meditative.

these people are going to be darning their own socks, patching holes in their robes. they are going to have needles and thread in their survival kits and know how to hold the cloth tension just right with the force so they can re-weave the bigger holes by using tiny, straight sticks to hold the warp in place.

honestly I absolutely love the Avvar in Jaws of Hakkon. How they worship the gods, how they view the world around them, how accepting they are and just how interesting they are too. I absolutely despise how the Inquisitor and Companions make commentary as if they're stupid or wrong in their beliefs, or that they're "just crazy people who worship spirits".

The dialogue you don't choose or even the ones you do are on the line of condescending, and it's frankly insulting, especially that all options on the dialogue wheel fall on that line.

the Avvar are so fucking cool, I hate we only get a DLC with them. (I also miss the Chasind - I wish they weren't forgotten or left in the dirt by BioWare :( )
