Happy Saturday wonderful fandom :) Ahhh the next in the line of goodies to come. This one doesn’t have a ton for them but doesn’t mean there isn’t absolute gems in it. So it'll be a littler shorter than the last one ha Also Aaron is amazingly hilarious in this episode. I love him to death. Let us get started.

5x09 Take Back

We start off with Tim being Watch Commander while Grey is miserable in NYC ha Things get immediately awkward when Chris arrives. Still clueless as ever asking Tim of all people about Lucy’s taste in houses. I mean if you don’t know her taste at this point should you really be buying a house together? Tim looks intrigued when he says he needs his opinion then it gets so awkward when it's about a house...

Tim is so very uncomfortable when he asks his opinion. Knowing this is going NOWHERE for Chris. I’ll never forget this hilarious post I saw about this scene after it premiered. I couldn't find it this time around. Had the lyrics from anti-hero by Taylor swift. ‘It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem it’s me.’ You ain’t ever getting that house with her because of that man sitting there LOL Idk why that post made me laugh so hard but it did. It stuck with me clearly haha

It’s so very weird Chris comes to Tim for this. It's obvious he knows Tim knows her the best. Crazy to me he's not threatened at all by that fact. Clearly he isn’t if he’s coming to Tim for advice. Blows my mind how blind he is. Lucy comes in asking what they’re talking about? Chris tells her he found THE house. Lucy looking as uncomfortable as ever at this news. Saying he's going to call the realtor and call her later. Lucy's high pitched 'I can't wait...' Couldn't be more awkward if she tried.

He gives her a kiss on the cheek and leaves. Tim giving that good ole fake Sanford smile when he does. Tim's face crack me up. Like he stole your girl and you have no idea you putz heh Also just so on brand for Chris to not see how uncomfortable Lucy was. He’s been blind their entire relationship It’s unreal. You can also see how much Tim hates seeing him kiss her. Even if it’s on the cheek.

It’s almost a grimace really as he watches it. Probably thinking of all the ways he could easily kick his scrawny ass haha That fake smile begging for Chris to leave the room so this awkwardness can pass. How Chris doesn’t pick up on either of these vibes I don't know. But then we call him the clueless clown for a reason don’t we?

Lucy doesn’t look comfortable till Chris leaves the office. Tim asking 'How the breakup is going?' HA Cleary it's going well Timothy...Lucy tells him she’s in the planning stages. Just reviewing the literature. Classic Lucy response. Wanting to plan this out completely before pursuing it. Tim telling her a psychology journal isn’t going to tell her how to break up with Chris. I mean he's not wrong.... It's just a bandaid you have to rip off even if its uncomfortable as hell.

He’s so matter of fact with his wording. Using a sports metaphor to explain how she should do it. Makes me wonder if he's actually done this before? Ha She’s adorable in her reply of saying ‘Playbill?’ She truly has no idea what he’s talking about. It’s too funny. It's comical really Tim giving her advice on how to break up with Chris. So you know he can date her haha

Tim has been very patient in all this but you can see him getting a little antsy about it. It is interesting how full circle this moment is. He set them up in 4x12 and now he’s ready to help break them down in this 5x09. Tim is just so ready for Lucy to do this cause he’s anxiously waiting to be with her. It’s pretty damn cute if you ask me. He’s trying to be patient but also is like can we hurry this along a bit?

Lucy says that’s too cruel she wants to handle it her way. No matter how this goes down Chris is going to be hurt though. It's how breakups go there is alway someone who walks away more upset about it. Her empathy taking the front seat in this decision. Where Tim just wants her to rip the bandaid off. Get this over with ASAP.

This is where we see little bit of Tim’s self doubt kick in. It's written all over his face when he asks her if she's having doubts? Worried she’s delaying this because she is having second thoughts about him. About them. Lucy immediately squashes his anxiety with her reply. Shooting massive heart eyes his way as well. She wants Tim to know she’s all in just like he is. That there is nothing for him to worry about.

I love how sure Lucy looks when she tells him 'No, I'm not'. She is so certain this is what she wants. Needs him to know this as well. Not a doubt in her mind about this whole thing. She just has stuff to work out with this breakup first. The certainty in her eyes is everything. Nothing makes more sense to her in this moment than him.

That confidence of hers is why Tim relaxes the way he does above. His whole body draining of the tension he was carrying. His cute smile saying ‘Good.’ Could this man be more of a soft puppy for her? Look at him. That hope and excitement back in his eyes. Lucy replying in kind with her own 'In love 'gaze. They’re both all in and it makes my heart very happy. Also they’re having a full on flirt session in Grey’s office for everyone to see.

I adore Tim being so open and vulnerable in this scene. Making sure she wasn’t backing out. The same Tim who couldn’t communicate in his other relationships to save his life. But with this he is checking in with her. Letting Lucy know his stress about her not breaking up with Chris yet. Lucy assuages his worries instantly. When it’s the right one the harder stuff seems a little easier. More natural. Lucy sensed that panic and instantly calms him with her words and heart eyes. Gah so good. Look at these idiots in love. I just adore them so very much.

This next scene with Aaron is pure gold. I love him so much he cracks me up. Never expected him to be as funny as he is. He notes how quiet she is being and is asking what's going on? Lucy letting him know she needs to break up with Chris. First off like to say we are all Aaron when he says ‘Finally.’ To her breaking up with Chris. Yesssss and Hallelujah finally breaking up with the clown. Nails it even further when he says Chris was never on her level. I mean yeah he never was. Not ever.

Aaron is speaking for the whole Chenford fandom in this moment LOL Chris had nine lives with her and they've finally run out. Aaron's reaction is the best part of this scene. I love that he knew where Lucy's heart was and it obviously wasn't with Chris. He knows it’s with Tim 100 percent. Like most people in their world do. Tim is her equal in so many ways it’s insane. Chris could never compare as Lucy figured out last ep.

Aaron tells her they can practice her breaking up with him. So it’s much easier when the time comes. It’s not a bad idea tbh. This is where it gets hilarious. Lucy brings up them looking at houses. Aaron kinda judging her for letting get as far as looking at houses. Telling her 'Yikes....' HA Tell us how you really feel my man. Lucy reprimanding him saying that is not helpful....Oh Aaron I love you so very much.

Lucy starts her speech trying to find her footing in what she is trying to say. She looks over at Aaron in the middle of it and see he is crying. lol If you didn't laugh at this scene you're dead inside. It's so damn funny. Lucy asking him WTF he is doing? Aaron telling her he is channeling Chris's pain LMFAO I mean he's not wrong she had to be prepared for an emotional response. It's just the way he went about this that is so hysterical. He is having way too much fun with this.

Telling her they should do angry next. I'm rolling. Lucy is doing some channeling of her own. She is channeling her man in this scene. It’s so funny. So aggravated with his role playing in this. Wondering why she asked for his advice in the first place? hahaha They then get a call about a 'Navi'. Lucy is so confused. Aaron geeks out and says it's from Avatar. Tells Lucy she should ask if it’s full grown. The look she gives she is channeling her husband again so much. ‘Aaron, it’s a fictional character...’ LMAO

I really love this ending scene with them. Aaron wants to do one more practice run with her. Lucy tells him she doesn’t need it. (Oh but you do....) That she’s just going to go with her gut on this one. It sounds like a solid idea in the moment but it's honestly the worst thing to wing it. Especially when it's something this intense.

When something is this emotional the right words tend not to just come to you IMO. They sure don't for me. I love him being brutally honest with her about it LOL Saying it’s a terrible idea. That he likes the sentiment but this isn't going to end well. I mean he’s not wrong as we will see here in a bit. Lucy once again channeling Tim in this moment. Cutting him off from saying anything else and just tells him good night haha

We get to the breakup scene we’ve all been waiting for. Lucy is bumbling and awkward. Not knowing where to start. Chris once again blind as a bat. He has no idea why she’s acting this way. Lucy curses Aaron for being right about this moment. Saying she should practiced more LOL I adore her panicking and defaulting to Tim’s playbook advice haha idk what’s funnier that or her being shocked Chris knows what she means by saying that.

All that prep and thinking this out and she went with her man’s advice on how to end this. This makes me giddy to no end. I bet you it’s cause Tim was on her mind from the minute Chris entered the apartment. My guess is that is part of the reason she fell back on his advice. Literally the most Lucy Chen thing ever to use it then be surprised Chris knew what she meant. I love her sfm haha

Chris stumbles around shocked as hell she’s breaking up with him. He seems so very blindsided by the whole thing. I mean if the man opened his eyes for once he wouldn’t be that shocked…But this Chris we are talking about. Lucy tries to get him to talk to her more. Saying they should sit down and talk this out. Chris just bails not wanting to talk at all. Not wanting to fight for her at all. Just takes off like a child who didn't get what he wanted.

Now I’m ok with this. Obviously we all are. Just goes to show you Tim was willing to fight for her and Chris wasn’t in the end. Lucy said it was over and he just left. I mean he wasn’t wrong there isn’t much to talk about out. She doesn’t love him. But still no fight in him at all after Lucy does this. Just folds like a cheap suit. A clueless clown from beginning to end...

We’ve reached the scene of the ep that made us all swoon and squee. I remember feeling so anxious to get to this scene. I had to re-watch the episode to truly appreciate it all. I was too antsy to get back to them sharing a screen. I was so damn giddy this was the place we were in. They spent the majority of this episode apart. So all I could focus on was her coming back to him in this moment.

I adore Lucy coming back into the station to talk about the breakup right away. Needing to share this news with him as soon as she could. I love that she returned to work just to tell him about this. So anxious to get back to Tim after it was done. Lucy wanted him to know as soon as she could it was over with Chris. Knowing he was just as anxious as she was about the breakup. It's sweet how he tentatively approaches her when she says why she is back.

He wants to be understanding about it. Seeing if she wants to talk about it more. Doesn't just want to jump the gun and bulldoze her feelings about the matter. Lucy isn't there to chat about that though. She wants to cash in on him asking her out. Because she couldn’t wait another second without him asking her out again. They're both so damn nervous and sweet in this scene. Fidgety and excited about the prospect of their future. Lucy messing with her hands the entire time as she explains the breakup. Tim keeping his distance while she explains it.

Gah I love her fidgeting near her ring as she approaches Tim. Anxiously awaiting for him to ask her out again. Lucy’s nervous way of reminding him to ask her again like they decided. How she looks into the bullpen before approaching Tim. Saying ‘So…’ He looks nervously excited by her doing this. Eric the king of expressions strikes again. The way his eyes go to check the bullpen as well before refocusing on her. He isn't sure what she is going to do in this moment.

The entire station can see into this office. He looks so friggin cute in his nervousness. I love that that she makes him nervous like this it's so adorable. Lucy gains her confidence and looks him directly in the eye flirty as can be. Asking him if there's something he wants to ask her? The whole purpose of her returning to work is to secure their date. Telling him about the breakup was the catalyst yes. But truly she was wanting to hear him ask her out again.

Tim see's her confidence and starts shaking off his own nerves. Replying in a sassy manner. Their banter the undercurrent of this moment going forward. Fueling them with the courage to say what they want to. Tim can't help being playful and sassy with her replying ‘I can’t remember.’ Doing that cute smirk of his that I love so very much. Wanting to push her buttons a little because well it's Tim.

Lucy is affectionately violent in her reply haha Look at her she is beaming with adoration. She loves this goober in front of her so very much. ‘Don't make me hurt you.’ Because she would legit hurt him if she had to in this moment haha I saw a funny parallel from this to her ripping that tape off in 4x07. She'll do it Timothy LOL Don't test your girl.

I love how he gets serious after she says this. It's the way he slowly moves towards her. That intent look on his face in the first one. *fans self* gah. Then in the second one the way he melts for her. In a way only Lucy gets to see. Asking with as much giddiness and excitement as I ever seen in this man. "Do you wanna go out on a date? Look at this puppy of a man. He is beyond excited to ask her this question again. Knowing now he will get a yes with no stipulations this time around. There is still a little nervous hesitation in his delivery which is precious.

Lucy is bursting at the seams with absolute giddiness when she replies ‘Yeah. I do.’ So happy he's asked her again. How one looks when the man they love asks them out. There’s so much to love about this scene. He’s asking her out in the Watch Commanders office. I love that sfm. Both ecstatic they’re finally going on a date with nothing holding them back now. They’re at work and have to restrain themselves from being too obvious. Which you know they suck at heh

My god anyone looking in on them in that last gif could see how in love these two are. They're so excited just to be around each other right now. The way they’re just standing there looking into each other’s eyes with the dopiest in love smiles. I cannot. I remember thinking the break was gonna take forever to get through. What a time to be alive watching this the first time I remember. LOL

Is it just me or does John have more chemistry with Genny than he does Bailey? Thought I’ve always had from this ep. Probably just me but I always thought they had solid chemistry.

Greys have a ROUGH SL in NYC.

Celina also has a hard time in the ep. With their suspect dying in custody. She has a tough rookie year.

He becomes too prideful and egoistic, it can lead to problems speaking up for himself (not in a way of that he gets too scared to speak but in a way that if he feels already misunderstood then he won't put in effort to clear his name or get ppl to understand him). It's vibes of "they've already made a conclusion of how I am, so why bother saying anything". It can lead to even more misunderstandings

He sits and let things happen too much. Like the kind of guy that finds himself at a club bc he's just mindlessly following his friends and letting ppl drag him to different places.

He's way too easily led by others. And he surrenders his power/himself to others too easily

He has experience with a traumatic childhood, problems with his parents(specifically a mother figure). He may have cynical beliefs that if he thinks his parents fucked up in raising him then he wouldn't want to raise kids at all, due to believing they'll turn out to be messed up as well

He still holds onto strong feelings of resentment to his parents. He's not taking proper steps to forgive them so that he can heal. Right now, his wounds are still wide open, leaking blood and if he doesn't get stitches he can risk infection (to solve this problem he doesn't need bandaids, he needs stitches)

Ahhh, okay. So he's a person that really enjoys music, especially lesser known music/artist. But, I see that hee the type to make his entire personality the fact that he supports "indie artist" and "real artist that aren't primed and pampered by big companies". He can even feel that way about himself, where he sees his music in higher regard since he's doing it all on his own without much help from a company

He's quite a lonely man, and struggles a bit with connections. Leads him to guilt trip and manipulate others into staying by his side. Can be insecure about how entertaining he actually is. Also, he could have the habit of trauma dumping

He's the perfect definition a man that plays the long game in love. He plays "the guy friend" role a lot when he wants a girl instead of outright getting with her. Idk if you guys know the saying "a shoulder to cry on, can be a dick to ride on" but that could be how his romantic relationships turn out

He's quite an independent person and even he wouldn't partake in new romances if he wasn't feeling ready or the person wasn't ready. A healthy lover, and very big on consent (like most ppl should be).

Surprisingly. He's quite the charming, gentleman that knows how to treat a woman and make her feel heard, seen and beautiful.

He definitely could have more women under his belt if he so chooses but he's calculative with how he moves. People may underestimate him a lot but he's really a powerful, influential guy.

Code Kunst takes care of others very well, worrying after others mental health and giving healing advice to those in need of it. He can have a deep desire to inspire ppl to good un their own lives, he would feel very grateful if a fan told him that his music played a big role in their life

It may very well be his entire purpose of creating music. To inspire others.

Once again, I'm seeing a very caretaker type of man, that even when he feels lazy and tired, will try his best to be there for others. Like a guy that keeps his promises, no matter what. Also a guy that when his loved ones really need him, he's there for them

He's a very committed person in love, he doesn't fear marriage or giving a girl the girlfriend status long as their both ready. The kind of person that if he argues with a significant other, he likes it and prefers it to be that away instead of running away. He can feel very hurt by a person walking away from him when they fight (even if it's just to cool down), he may look at it as the relationship is over.

Ops. idk about "unhinged" but thanks to advice me about that one. I'm trying to chek out all his filmography and i've seen some ones that didn't look pretty interesting to me, so i just was wondering about your personal taste in orden to make more easy to choose the nexts ones to watch. "A beautiful mind" is absolutely one of his best actings. Every time I've seen this movie I've cried. Very good film. But my fav of him is Master and Comander, for his acting and for the movie in itself. I think the second one is 3:10 to Yuma, i was socked by the charisma he irradiates in this movie, and the film is one of the most entretaining westerns i've seen.

The worst for me, by the moment, was Noah, i just can't watched it till the end, not for him but for the movie, i think is pretty bad, i cant watch a biblical movie with all that sofisticted effects in where the character of Noah appears wearing jeans… But yeah, i'm totally with you, i think, saving some exceptions, this man have a pretty good list of roles on his name. And his movies are are pure entertainment cinema (in the best sense), he always plays a charismatic roles that stick me to the screen. I think he is propably one of the best actors alive.

I think the next i'm gonna see is that one in where he is doing some kind of stuff with horses (ican't rememeber de name now lol.)

Ahhh, now that I know why you asked I will give you a more tailored list of movies I like. <3 Regarding Noah: I watched that one in the cinema which... helped. I actually wrote a review on Noah for my class at the time, but I cannot find it so I don't know what my concrete thoughts were on it.. I understand your opinion on it though. Sometimes I see behind the scenes photos of Noah and I can't help but think: "Oh, that was a... look." And 3:10 to Yuma is definitely one of his best! I am glad you've watched it. :D Okay, anyway, movies that I personally recommend sorted by release date: Proof (1991) For the Moment (1993) The Sum of Us (1994) The Quick and the Dead (1995) Virtuosity (1995) (this movie is one of his worst but it is a bad movie that is actually enjoyable when you know to expect trash) L.A. Confidential (1997) Mystery Alaska (1999) The Insider (1999) Gladiator (2000) Master and Commander (2003) Cinderella Man (2005) A Good Year (2006) 3:10 to Yuma (2007) American Gangster (2007) (there's a couple movies here that im not personally interested in, but out of those State of Play (2009) is the most watchable) Robin Hood (2010) (it looks worse based on the posters than it actually is, I promise) The Next Three Days (2010) Les Miserables (2012) The Water Diviner (2014) Fathers and Daughters (2015) The Nice Guys (2016) Boy Erased (2018) (Crowe doesn't have a big role in it, so if you want to watch movies for Russell and Russell only it is not worth it. Great movie though.) I'm not so much into his latest movies. True History of the Kelly Gang is very artsy and imho a nice viewing experience, but not worth it for Russell. The Greatest Beer Run Ever is an entertainable movie, but again with Russell in a supporting role rather than main character position. Poker Face is a bad movie, but he looks really good in it which makes it watchable... and tbh I do not have a lot of hope for The Pope's Exorcist based on the trailer. I'm kinda hoping the movie that he's working on right now will be good again though - that one looks amazing when it comes to the script.

god the og lineup was too good im trying to savor it while it lasts

goes crazy over the fact that we literally never found out abt the blue paladin's qualities. but yes i agree, the blue paladins are def the best looking and coolest of the bunch ^_^

lance being 'skeptic' over keith being assigned the red lion oooh foreshadowing?

only allura can open wormholes . . . again im left wondering what are the scope of allura’s abilities. is this bc she’s altean or bc she’s allura? or is this bc this is her ship, and other alteans can open wormholes on their own ship? maybe this gets answered later in the series i don’t rmbr

oh man yellow has lion carvings next to him too, who put them there? the blue lion had some too, are we supposed to infer that local natives did it (in the same sense how we found out later the arusians think of voltron as a divine being and they had carvings of the ‘lion goddess’ around the castle)?

shiro and pidge were my first favs when i initially watched this show and im pretty sure this was the scene that hooked me onto them? ahh i really love them and the dynamic they built up over the course of s1 T-T *tries not to think abt later seasons*

lance bracing to get hit by the galra - smth similar happens in s7 i rmbr! was this an intentional parallel?

yay hunk to the rescue!!! oh also sven in s3 and hunk here both jumped in front of fired shots to save lance's life

how many times are they gonna do this hunk throwing up joke it got old after the first two times

the galra have a hold on the red lion! man i rmbr someone pointing out after s1 it was bc it was probably alfor’s lion that zarkon got a hold of after he killed him and i was like :0 also why does zarkon have the red lion stowed away on a random warship - granted it's one of his best generals, but you think he would keep it somewhere more secure

not another lance pickup line sighing so loud rn

lance calling coran the old guy is so funny cause we all know he ends up sacrificing himself for him like 2x later on this season CTFU

l/h are team running away, k/p are team fighting back . . . the legs are all about stability and making sure they don’t get knocked down and the arms are all about offense and assertiveness . . . god i love how the anatomy of voltron translates into the character’s (initial) positions and characterizations it’s so *chef’s kiss*

and shiro is the perfect balance btwn the opposing parts here, the head who will direct their actions yup yup yup

the bayards!!! takes a distinct shape for each paladin! this was a rlly good way to add more characterization to them . . . l/h are more long range (perfect for support), while k/p are more offensive weapons (great for getting all up in someone’s face)

also side note, cool how keith gets a sword and a shield, rlly filling in the knight archetype here

CHAPTER 2 LETS GOOOO - you know how much I've been looking forward to reading this, it's been on my mind constantly and oh boy it did not disappoint! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

I can't get over how sweet and respectful and gentle and nervous Frankie is about River. Like, the way you write his emotions is so good I can really feel just how bad he has it for them and how especially at the beginning of the chapter he's not sure what to do with himself over these feelings he has after all he's been through romantically.

Like this line:

He didn’t know what to do with nice a lot of the time.

I feel like Frankie has some self-esteem issues going on, he seems so not used to being flirted with and so obviously wanted, and that's something that I can see playing out really interestingly against River's outward confidence.

And please I'm just gonna gush about River for a moment they are such a wonderful oc and already so fascinating to me, I wanna know literally everything about them. Never mind Frankie, I think I have a crush on them tbh. So thank you for giving me another fictional character to fall in love with 😌

They seem so sure of themselves and so unphased by Frankie's reactions to things; like River just seems like such an open, and genuine person. Maybe it's me thinking too hard about them but I can very much see them as the kind of person to take others in and guide them, and help them find themselves a bit you know? It's both a very queer culture and alt culture way to be, bringing home strays and giving them something of yourself out of the love of just seeing someone flourish. God okay I'm definitely reading too much in to things, and I'm not sure that even makes sense lol but idk that's just how I feel about them. Me and Frankie clearly both have it bad for River lmao 😍

Dad Frankie is adorable and ahhh I love how you wrote that little interaction with him and Marisol. He's such a gentle guy and he has so much love and it makes me so emotional. When he gives the bunny a little kiss too!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Such a good dad.

omg River is such a flirt, I'm like giggling and blushing at every interaction the two of them have. There's so much playfulness between them.

So good to read the little section of Santi giving Frankie advice. I cannot understate how damn important it is to me that Frankie has a friend as caring and unjudgmental as Santi to be so open around. I can only imagine how hard things can be for a bi man who is also ex-military and has probably been exposed to SO much toxic culture. And yes it WOULD be Santi that he goes to for advice. They are besties and I adored their sweet bestie moment discussing Frankie's love life. Good advice, too. Always dance with the hot goth at the club.

I grinned so wide imagining Frankie dancing to dark wave, in his Maiden shirt, all nervous and sweet about how and where to touch River as they danced. What song were they dancing to???

And then just like....the entire section outside the club I'm ❤️🥺✨🥹💞😍👀🩷

I do hope we get to hear more of River's 'long story' but even if we don't that little moment of Frankie finally asking the question and the relief over River not being offended was so special.

Frankie wasn’t sure what he was expecting when he texted River, but it wasn’t this.

He looked at the photo River sent him and was having a hard time calming down his heart. River was going back to the club where they met, The Night Owl, and “needed help” picking an outfit. Frankie thought they looked good in every outfit they’d shown him so far and wasn’t sure what the problem was.

That was another thing he’d have to get used to. River made their intentions quite clear and was very obvious with how they felt about Frankie. The problem was, Frankie was nervous. He’d flirted before. Had random hookups before. That wasn’t new to him, but River was.

He didn’t want to be disrespectful, but he still didn’t quite know if River was a man or a woman. In every selfie they’d sent him, they always had the same androgynous look. River had both sharp and soft features; soft, round cheeks with hard, angular eyes. They weren’t very tall, the top of their head grazing Frankie’s shoulder, and had a medium build. He had no idea how to approach the topic without them turning away.

Frankie knew he liked women. He knew he liked men. So it would make sense that he would like River, right? River was kind of like… both? The two of them had been texting for a week and he really liked their sense of humor. They were really nice to him; maybe even a little too nice. He didn’t know what to do with nice a lot of the time.

“Daddy?”

Frankie looked up from his phone at the sleepy four-year old in his bedroom doorway. Marisol was holding her stuffed bunny in one tiny arm and rubbing her eye with her other little fist.

“What’s up, conejita? What’re you doing awake, huh?” He smiled as he crawled out of bed, phone left behind. He made his way over to her and picked her up, resting her on his hip. “You have a bad dream?”

Marisol nodded and hid her face in Frankie’s neck, her little fist holding on tight to the worn neckline of his sleep shirt. Frankie frowned and held her close, rubbing her little back as he walked her back to her bedroom. As he went to lay her down in her bed she fussed a little, refusing to let go.

“Can I sleep with you? Please?” Marisol’s big brown eyes, mirror images of Frankie’s own, looked up at him pleadingly and he couldn’t turn her down. Not ever.

He straightened back up and nodded, kissing her soft cheek. “Alright. But just tonight, okay? You gotta sleep in your own bed tomorrow. Promise?” He held out his pinky. When her tiny one curled around his own, his heart melted.

He walked back to his own bedroom and set her down on the edge of the bed. She crawled her way up to his pillows and made herself comfy, cuddling her little bunny close. Frankie tucked her in and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. She whined and lifted her bunny up to him. “Flor, too!” Marisol’s little voice demanded.

“Right. Flor, too. Sorry, conejita,” he chuckled and gave a small kiss to Flor’s fuzzy head.

Marisol seemed satisfied with that and cuddled into Frankie’s blankets and shut her eyes. He made his way to his own side of the bed and crawled under the blankets as well, picking up his phone. Two messages from River.

so the second one?

damn, pass out on me already, old man? 😉

He quickly started typing a response, afraid to leave them hanging.

No sorry im here. Yeah the 2nd one

He looked back at all the photos they’d sent him that evening and sighed. He started typing again.

U want company tomorrow ?

As the three dots showed up at the bottom of his screen, his heart started pounding harder.

i didn’t think you’d want to come back. thought we all scared you last time 😉 i’d love company, esp if it’s yours

Frankie smiled at his phone and rested it on his chest, looking up at the ceiling. Yeah, he had it bad.

“Hermano, I need your help.”

Frankie was sitting across from Santiago at a local coffee shop the next morning. The low hum of other customers talking and the nearby kitchen filled his ears. It grounded him a little. His palms were sweaty and he started sniffing, an old, terrible habit he’d picked up whenever he was nervous. No matter how long he had been clean, the craving to put something up his nose was never far.

“Well, I can see that. What’s on your mind? Is Marisol okay?” Santi asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

“Yeah, she’s great. It’s not that. I, uh, started… talking to someone. Well, I don’t really know–”

“That’s great, man! What’s her name? Or his?”

Frankie’s mouth felt dry, so he looked away from Santi’s eyes and took a drink of his own coffee. He swallowed thickly around the coffee and the lump in his throat.

“W-Well, um. River, but–”

“Ooh, unique.”

“Yeah,” Frankie sighed, nodding. “I’m not sure if that’s their real name, though? I mean, the bartender went by Viper, so it honestly wouldn’t surprise me–”

“Whoa, whoa, slow down,” Santi chuckled. “Why don’t you start from the beginning, huh?”

Frankie nodded, chewing on his bottom lip. That was probably a good place to start. So, he told Santiago everything. Ending up at a goth club, Viper and the drink he gave him (which he really liked), and meeting River. Texting with River and how much he liked them.

Santiago stayed quiet the whole time, listening closely to what Frankie had to say. “Sounds like it doesn’t matter if you know or not, hermano.”

“But,” Frankie started. “I’d like to. T-To, y’know… Respect them. I’m not sure how to ask without offending them.”

Santiago hummed and took another drink. “This is still new, right?”

“Very.”

“Right. I don’t think River would be upset at you asking. You said you stuck out at that club, right? They’re probably expecting it at this point,” Santi chuckled.

Frankie nodded again, looking out into the middle distance. Santi was right. River had been nothing but kind to him so far. They even started to create little inside jokes already.

“When are you seeing them next?” Santi asked.

“Tonight. We’re going back to The Night Owl,” Frankie muttered, picking at a hangnail on his index finger.

Santi smirked, sitting up in his seat more. “Together this time? Or are you meeting there?”

“Meeting there. I don’t know where they live.”

Santiago hummed, thinking. “I think you should go and have fun tonight. You said they danced last time? Maybe you could join them this time. Just take the night as it comes, and if anything progresses, well, let it… progress,” he shrugged, as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

And maybe it should be. Frankie was allowed to enjoy himself from time to time. He’s been clean since Marisol was born, and had been on the straight and mostly narrow ever since. He could loosen up tonight. He nodded to himself and finally made eye contact with Santi again.

“I will. Thanks, Pope.”

“Of course, hermano. Lemme know how it goes, yeah?”

Frankie was sitting at the bar again, having another Snakebite. He tapped his fingers against the bar nervously as he waited for River to arrive.

“They’ll be here, stripes,” Viper’s gruff voice muttered from behind him. Frankie turned to look at him and raised a brow.

“How do you know I’m–”

“Frankie!” River’s voice came from behind him, their hands waving excitedly, which caused all the jewelry they wore to jingle loudly. God, they looked incredible. He gulped, but smiled, standing to greet them properly.

“Hey, Riv,” Frankie said, shoving his hands into his pockets, unsure what to do with them. He hadn’t noticed it last time, or maybe they weren’t wearing it then, but River was wearing a cologne this time around; bergamot, clove, and sandalwood. It went right to his head and made his heart skip a beat. “You look great.”

“You picked it out, remember?” River winked, their eyes flicking to Frankie’s lips for a quick second. Their eyes traveled down further and they smirked, looking at the t-shirt Frankie wore underneath his leather jacket. “Iron Maiden, huh?” They teased.

“What, I don’t look like I listen to Iron Maiden?” Frankie smiled, a little of his confidence coming back now that River was here. All of the comfort and teasing was still there from their texts.

River hummed thoughtfully, one ring-clad finger running over the side of Eddie’s face on Frankie’s torso. “I didn’t say that. Just thought it was an interesting choice,” they grinned, looking back up at him.

Frankie blinked down at them, following their finger that had yet to leave. “Interesting?” he squeaked, swallowing around another lump in his throat.

River chuckled and took their hand away, shaking their head in amusement. “Don’t worry about it. C’mon, you promised me a dance, remember?”

Right. He did. After his meeting with Santiago that morning, he texted River and said he’d never seen dances quite like the ones at The Night Owl. River excitedly offered to show him how to do one or two moves. Frankie didn’t have the heart to tell them he had two left feet.

River grabbed his hand and dragged him to the dance floor, grinning up at him, and started dancing once they made their way to the middle.

The walls of the club bounced with the music. This time it was a little closer to electronic so it was easier to find a beat to Frankie’s untrained ears. He still didn’t fully know what all the different genres were despite River trying to give him a breakdown of the main ones over text. He thinks this one was Dark… Wave? Something like that.

Frankie had danced with both men and women before, but didn’t quite know where to put his hands with River. Thankfully, he didn’t have to think about it too hard, because they grabbed his wrists and rested his hands on their shoulders. They moved their hips to the music, grabbing onto Frankie's waist and guiding him with them.

Frankie’s cheeks warmed as he smiled down at them. He completely lost himself in the moment, just like Santi said he should. Lights danced around with them, shining off of River’s dark hair and illuminating them in a way that made Frankie’s heart stop. They made eye contact and River winked at him, tapping his butt lightly. He blushed, thankful that the lights hid it for the most part. Before he knew it, a few songs had passed and River was dragging him off the dancefloor and back towards the bar, giggling their head off.

“I didn’t know you had such good moves!” They teased, poking his side playfully.

“Oh, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” Frankie winked, his eyes flicking to River’s lips. River got closer, wrapping their arms around Frankie’s waist and grinned.

“That a promise?”

Frankie’s heart skipped two full beats before he exhaled loudly, his hands resting on River’s biceps. He looked around at all the other clubgoers and sighed before grabbing River’s hand and taking them outside into the fresh air.

River furrowed their brows with concern, but followed him. They looked at the back of Frankie’s head, eyes following the shapes and valleys of his messy curls. They wanted to run their fingers through it.

Fresh, cool air hit their warm cheeks as Frankie walked them over to his truck. He maneuvered River so that they were leaning against the side, his arms caging around them. River could see that a million thoughts were passing behind those big brown eyes of his. They reached for the bottom of Frankie’s Iron Maiden t-shirt and rubbed it comfortingly. They were patient.

“I’d love nothing more than to promise you that,” Frankie started, his eyes not meeting their green ones. He kept his eyes glued to the torn shirt and multiple silver necklaces River wore. “But, I just… I have a question for you, and I’m not sure how to ask it.”

River’s lips quirked up into a small smile. They had a feeling this was coming. “No, I’m not secretly a cop,” they deadpanned.

Frankie looked up at that and snorted at the serious look on River’s face. “No, not that,” he chuckled, poking at the tattoo on River’s collarbone.

“You can just ask. It can’t be that bad.”

Frankie bit his bottom lip and nodded, eyes locked on River’s nose rings. “I, uh… I’ve dated men and women in the past. I… like them equally, and I guess I was just wondering… where you, uh… fell, on that spectrum,” he mumbled, eyes downcast again. His shoulders felt a hundred pounds lighter, but he was still afraid he would offend them.

River smiled wide and cupped Frankie’s cheek, forcing him to look at them. “That’s all?”

Frankie blinked and nodded jerkily.

“Well, do you want the long version or the short version?”

Frankie looked at River’s lips, feeling a little more confident knowing River wasn’t angry with him. “Whichever one gets me closer to kissing you,” he muttered hopefully, dropping his hand down to their hip and rubbing the bone there with his thumb.

River’s breath hitched and they smiled. “Short version, then,” they grinned, rubbing at his patchy facial hair, their thumb finding a perfect spot to rest. “I’m both. And neither. I was raised one way and never felt like I belonged in either basket.”

Frankie nodded in understanding. He understood feeling like he didn’t belong. “Is… is there a word for that?” he asked, hoping that was okay.

“Yeah. Non-binary. I don’t always use it, and that’s kind of where the longer version comes in, but I think you promised me a kiss,” River smiled, rubbing their thumb along Frankie’s bottom lip.

Frankie didn’t need to be told twice, surging forward to slot their lips together. He kept one hand on River’s hip and cupped the back of their head with his free hand, sighing into their mouth.

River moved their head a little to the right so they could fit together more easily. They gently prodded their tongue against Frankie’s bottom lip, asking permission. Goosebumps traveled down the back of their neck to the tips of their toes, as they wound their arms around Frankie’s neck.

Frankie happily granted them entry, his head spinning at the feeling of River’s lips on his own. It was so much better than he thought it would be.

When they eventually came up for air, Frankie touched his forehead to River’s. They just breathed each other in for a few moments, but River started snickering quietly. He leaned back, their waists still pressed together, and looked down at them, smiling softly. “What?”

River pointed to their own mouth, then to his, and laughed harder. He raised a brow and looked over at his rearview mirror to see what it could be. He didn’t let go of River’s hip.

Once his own reflection came into view, his cheeks warmed at what he saw. His eyes traveled over to River’s giggling form in the mirror, their hand covering their mouth as their shoulders shook. River’s dark lipstick had transferred over onto Frankie’s own lips and it looked… very out of place, to say the least.

Frankie started laughing softly, his eyes moving back to River’s. “I think it suits me, don’t you?” He winked.

River barked a laugh and lightly slapped his chest. “Absolutely not. I like you all lumberjack, fisherman chic.”

“Fisher– what?” Frankie chuckled.

“You look like you just got back from a fishing trip with peepaw, Francisco. Please don’t tell me you have a photo of you holding up a fish on your Tinder profile,” River said, suddenly very serious.

Frankie blinked a few times before it was his turn to start laughing hard. Then he got quiet, and asked, “What’s Tinder?”

“Good answer.”

gwinam is the type of man to have zero remorse and give zero fucks about anyone. but now, he has one scared person who is (height). he thinks that no matter what height you are, now you have to be brave and try to survive but as the two are half zombie, half human. or maybe full zombie, and just have a good IQ…

gwinam has to be able to comfort you but in a way he’s never done. he’s always never wanted to tease you. he thought you were nice but in reality it’s probably because you’ve always known him as gwinam and not the toy of bullies and apart of the bullies. no one would call him by his name but you. he enjoyed it. he liked it a lot. gwinam knows that he has to be able to comfort you. he takes you to a room that’s been empty for a while.

“listen, i know i’m not the best person who can comfort you but i promise i won’t ever hurt you. cheongsan did… and… i…i can see why you would go back to him… because obviously you still have feelings for him and all that bullshit. but don’t go back to that nerd. he’s just into that other bitch or whatever. fuck him. you’re better off with me.” you smiled at his words because the boy struggled a bit to find words to help with somewhat of comforting you. you smiled at gwinam.

“thank you gwinam. i’ve always tried to help you in some way by calling you by your name. i wanted you to change your ways but obviously not everything works out, obviously not with me… haha… but i appreciate your advice.” you told him.

you both leave the room and go on. you both just walk in silence and then you give him a hug. you did appreciate his advice and you’re deciding what to do. you should choose. you can’t have both of them. as gwinam has been there for you crying your eyes out. as hearing cheongsan confess his dying love for fucking onjo. which grew a strong hatred for her and cheongsan. you just didn’t know what to do.

you just stayed with gwinam for the time being and gwinam just kissed your head. you looked at him in shock. it’s funny how feelings can arise in the matter of a few days, isn’t it? it’s very weird. but you liked it. gwinam felt right… but so did cheongsan.

gwinam and you started holding hands and you looked up to smile at him. as you guys walked you approach a bunch of zombies and found the group.. cheongsan and the others..

CHEONGSAN ENDING:

you lead gwinam to cheongsan and the group. allowing him to grab cheongsan but instead of letting gwinam take cheongsan and kill him. you elbow him in the eye and then kick him in the shin. you grab cheongsan and tell them all to get out.

“leave now.”

you fight off gwinam as much as you could and then run. you ran as far as you could. you ended up catching up to them.

“are you fucking crazy?”

“you could’ve died you idiot???”

“what is wrong with you?”

“why did you go with that disgusting freak?”

“are you okay?”

“did he hurt you?”

you were still panting so suhyeok and namra tell them to give you space. you were so crowded. you finally started to catch your breath and started to explain everything.

“so we ended up talking, he didn’t hurt me, but i missed you guys. i missed you all. i missed you too cheongsan… and i realized that i really love you and it’s okay if you still like onjo I guess. not like we were out and everyone knew we were dating so I mean whatever…”

cheongsan ends up pulling you into a kiss and hugs you tight.

“never leave me again.”

you guys walk to the safe zone and they clear you all. but namra and you have to go into another zone for some other help since you guys are like half zombies. you never thought it would be better here.

GWINAM ENDING.

you helped gwinam take cheongsan and the others make it out with onjo fighting them to get to cheongsan. you snarled at her and made her back off. you allowed gwinam to fight cheongsan, you saw something in the air and immediately told gwinam that you guys had to go.

“get one last punch and we gotta go babe.” you say to him and he gets it in and leaves the bleeding cheongsan left to die and get eaten.

you both run as fast as possible and leave. you guys hear the explosion, it was so fucking loud. your ears were ringing so bad, it hurt like hell. you held onto gwinam though. made sure he was still there. he also held onto you. you both were panting and as you caught your breathes.

you smiled at each other. you guys got away and got some revenge on cheongsan. “let’s not go to the safe zone. I bet it’s safer here anyways for us half zombies I guess…” he agreed and pulls you in for a kiss. it took you by surprise… it felt like fireworks and it just felt right and not wrong. it felt like butterflies. it felt like the best feeling ever. you both just walked around and smiled at each other. it made you happy and him. he protected you and fed you since you got scared to still. he made sure you were being fed though. you were his everything just as he was yours.

you felt so free with gwinam. the man made you feel so alive. he felt like home. you absolutely loved it. you wished nothing but to continue to feel this feeling over and over until you guys are dead.

Nicky

Nicky would be so sweet about it he’s so adorable I love him. Nicky is absolutely one to pet and play with your hair and would totally do so until you fall asleep in his arms. This man’s love language is totally physical touch so he would just wanna be close to you and holding you the whole night to make sure you’re okay and to remind you that you’re safe. If you still couldn’t sleep after a couple hours he would definitely whip you up a snack and maybe some tea to help you get to sleep and would constantly be asking you if you needed anything or what else he could do for you. I may be biased cuz he’s my favorite but I do think Nicky is the nicest and most selfless of the quads (plz don’t hate me I love them all) and so he would definitely put everything aside for you to make sure you’re alright no matter how much it inconveniences him. He would absolutely let you fall asleep on his chest listening to his heartbeat until you crash even if it kept him up all night.

Ricky

Ricky would be absolutely panicked for you but in an endearing way lmao. Ricky is very neurotic himself so he really understands the paranoia and is very empathetic with you and just generally so so sweet. He’s also definitely done his research on it cuz it’s Ricky, and if you were having nightmares he would absolutely stay up with you helping you decode your dreams and figure out where the problem was coming from while holding you. Ricky definitely really values getting a good night’s sleep every night but he would throw it all away in a heartbeat to stay up with you and make sure you’re okay. He would totally be exhausted the next morning but it would be 100% worth it to him to see that he could help and that you’re feeling better.

Dicky

Dicky would totally tease you about disturbing his beauty sleep before realizing something was actually wrong in which case he would get very uncharacteristically serious cuz that’s how much he cares and loves you. Dicky comes off as a total player but he would be such a loving partner omg. He would stay up with you listing off all the things he loves about you and how strong you are and kissing your hands and cheeks to help you feel better. He would definitely be super sleepy and almost doze off a couple times but he would force himself to stay awake and make sure you’re doing better before he lets himself fall asleep, cuddling up to you in your arms.

Dawn

Dawn would be so so worried for you but she’d also know exactly how to handle it cuz it’s Dawn lol. She would talk you through breathing exercises while holding you and telling you how much you mean to her and how everything will be okay. She’s a big cuddler and would totally be the big spoon and hold you while whispering words of affection and affirmation in your ear. Dawn wouldn’t care how much you toss and turn in her arms, as long as it helps you feel better and safer. She would let you talk about your problems and would try her best to listen without trying to give you unsolicited advice, and would just generally be an amazing gf and a total sweetheart about it all.

ahhh, saw your buck post about people trying to justify the cheating and i totally agree. i'm also super mad cause i despise cheaters and he's my fav character so now i gotta try and reconcile that. like it took me ages to get over it when hen did it to karen so now im like?!?! it especially hurts cause it kinda came out of nowhere? i could see the hen storyline coming with the introduction of eva, like classic drama plotline, but i kinda thought id be safe with buck, if that makes sense? like he stayed loyal to abby for how long? idk, this is just kinda a vent post ig? i'm very mad and very sad rn, cause the eddie storyline was super good and it prob would have been one of my fav eps otherwise

I love Buck, too! I am mad at him for what he's done. And I believe those two sentiments can exist at the same time. I think some fans put Buck on a pedestal, and he is unable to make mistakes, but he can, and he has!

And in this instance, he drunkenly kissed Lucy back, after she kissed him. Honestly, I wouldn't be this upset if he'd told Taylor what he did, and the whole truth!

I think asking Taylor to move in is the self-destructive part of Buck, where he doesn't want to lose people he loves, but he's an idiot because now, he's going to hurt her more than before.

I do think Buck is Taylor’s Abby. Buck was 100% in, while Abby wasn’t. Taylor is 100% in, while Buck isn’t. He needs to take his own damn advice, from when he told Eddie the same about Ana.

I am mad, and I hope, that somebody is going to talk sense into this man! And I know, it will likely be Maddie (with what we've seen in teasers.) Because I know she will be mad at him, for what he did, but he's her stupid little brother, and she loves him.

And I hope, when Taylor finds out, she goes off. Let her shout, let her be mad because it will be totally justified.

I think this storyline will develop into something deeper but it may take a while to unravel.

I am hoping Hen will be a major part of this storyline. Since she did cheat on Karen and keep it a secret. Karen found out through somebody else, and that is what hurt her the most; the fact Hen didn't tell her. Hen has learned from that mistake, and my god, I hope Buck remembers that.
