I feel like this describes you and your community pretty well. Maybe next time some rando marketing company contacts you, you can just reply with this image lol.
Hgskl. That is a tempting thought.
I actually keep getting emails from a couple of social media author management groups that keep telling me if I let them run my social media and "harness my untapped potential," I'd finally become successful.
As though Tumblr wouldn't assume I'd been kidnapped and was being held at gunpoint if this account suddenly started promoting A/ddison C/ain heterosexual ABO novels.

is there an untapped market of shipping the CC’s with C’s? I’m not talking about Grian making out sloppy style with a block man of himself but making out sloppy style with a block man of someone else. I think smalletho would be great for this, if not phisten.

In other news grandma is apparently getting into hockey because of me which if you know my stubborn grandma who likes three things: tennis, n*a*s*c*a*r, and football (american), you know this is HUGE. She's been watching the playoffs and wanted to know why 'that nice looking young man' (geno) isnt playing. I had to explain i follow two teams and his isn't in the playoffs this year ;_; (i dont know if i convinced her to be a ra*ngers fan yet, i'll work on it)
But seriously n*h*l get your damn act together and make it easier for people to watch games! Clearly they are missing out on the untapped 90 yr old woman market!
#Jrnlsht#It is funny that the playoffs are the one time people with normal TV channels can catch games#And then its the opposite for those of us who rely on streaming bc its all on the TV and not allowed on plus or whatever#Anyway she still does not remember geno's name we're working on that too 😂

~Chapter 3: Haunted, Hunted, & Other Fun Hobbies~
[Ao3 link below the read more, at the end.]
It begins the day after Maul makes his return to Dathomir.
The sith is elbows deep in datapads trying to gain background knowledge on the Crimson Dawn's next venture: an escargot farm, of all things, for a particular breed of shellfish. One that acts as a nearly universal aphrodisiac when eaten. Vos had declared the market for it 'an untapped niche' with projected gains in the 'I could buy a moon every other year' category.
He already has a planet. Dathomir is more or less his, but Maul thinks he might like a moon or two. Besides, one never knew when they might need a spare astral body in his line of work. Perhaps for trade, perhaps for crashing into things. He is flexible.
One minute he is reviewing zoology documents made by a mon calamari, and then gently, like a cloud over the sun, he is being watched.
His spine straightens and the sith pulls his sense of self tight to his skin, guarding himself while attempting to observe the observer. The presence slips through his fingers, but he too slips through theirs. They go round and round like two predators in the night, stalking each other through the flow of the force.
Eventually the feeling fades, and Maul is left alone in his office space, perturbed. He waits an hour or more, patient and wary, but the sensation of being sought does not return.
He exhales heavily through his nose and returns to reading about aquarium keeping, stopping only to make snacks, refresh the tea pot, and stretch his back.
Dathomir's red star sinks below the horizon. Domir takes with it the light that had been coming in from the floor-to-ceiling windows, leaving the spectacular view of the sunrise canyon in deepening purple hues. Maul takes this as his cue to end the day.
The sith stalks out of his simplistic office, and heads to the end of the hallway. The decor transitions from plasteel to roughly carved redstone at the doorway, from the soft orange glow of sodium-vapor bulbs to flickering oil lanterns and magelight. He had appointed the bedroom den at the end of the hall with far more dathomirian aesthetics than the modern office space.
Some furniture he had been able to scavenge from the temple, mostly of carved stone, though there were a few precious wooden pieces left unburnt by the droid army among them. A small table, a few mismatched chairs, and a hefty trunk. The rest of his furnishings Maul had collected from offworld.
The result is… functional. Quiet and dark. The bed space is large and comfortable, partially carved back into the wall for extra protection. Nowhere is too open. Everything he wishes to be reminded of has a place to sit, somewhere he can see.
Dim candles light all the cracks and corners without hurting his eyes. There are books and scrolls to read, an orb recovered from his mother’s temple, projects to tinker with in idle moments. It is… good, he thinks. Though he might reorganize his memory items again. Later.
For now, he plans to undress, bathe, and-

Maul whips around, expecting a physical presence, but there is no one and nothing there. He coats himself in a basic spell of obfuscating mist and draws his force presence close to his hearts, under his skin.
The observer tries to catch him up with a searching pattern that feels like smokey claws and gossamer hairs, winding ribbons and closing jaws. Threads, deceptive in their affectionate creeping.
"One?" he rasps in the empty hallway, "No… more. Several."
There are so many aspects of force trying to locate him that surely it must be a ritual, fueled by multiple people. Four or five, at bare minimum. He would guess it was his former master's doing, but surely Sidious would not need tolook for him so much as come for him if he decided to spare the effort.
So who? Who?
But to look with that part of him which can See is to open himself, and Maul is not certain of the wisdom in letting this coven of force users near him just for the chance to find them.
Sweat beads on his scalp, dripping down and sliding off his chin. The effort to remain untouchable, hidden from these hunters, is intensely taxing, but the force vibrates in warning whenever he starts to slip.
Then, suddenly, he is alone again.
He waits, just as before, shoulders high and breathing hard as he remains watchful. The air remains still, lacking that dark innervation. Maul falls back against the wall, and presses the heel of a palm to his forehead. The effort has earned him a headache and shaking fingers.
The sith returns to moving down the hall, but changes destination. His den, while comfortable, is not the most secure location available here. That title goes to his mother's sanctum, riddled with runes and steeped in ichor fueled protections. He has not yet deciphered the nature of even half of the witch-made wards from the books and murals that remain of her teachings.
Maul slips into the sanctum, touching his chest where once her spirit had anchored itself.
"Mother," he begins, searching for an acceptable explanation for intruding. "I seek… shelter, in your sanctum. I am hunted by a power unknown, and the force warns me to avoid its touch."
That is an understatement. The force buzzes with indistinct warning, a vibrating drone so deep and ubiquitous it feels physical. Bumblebees underwater, crawling anxiety like marching ants.
No reply comes. He counts that as permission.
The sith goes to sit on the stone floor at the center of grooved patterns and runes. He will meditate now and gather his strength, assuming that eventually-
It returns! So quickly the threads descend again.
Vitriolic green light bursts to his left, then forward, then above him. Sharp eyes survey the room as sections of sigils light and dim along the walls, like fireworks. The grooves in the floor begin to fill with-
"Ichor," he murmurs, watching the luminous waters fill in the circling patterns. He cannot identify the source of where it flows from.
This… is not magick Maul has witnessed before. Savage had, reluctantly, described his own rituals, and the healing the Nightmother had done for Maul after Lotho Minor, but this is… different. Carved into Dathomir’s living stone, commanding the planet’s power even in the absence of a witch to direct it. It is wonderous.
The feeling of being looked for slides away from him with so much more ease, and he sighs in relief.
Maul ends up sleeping there, curled in on himself on the stone floor. Every few hours the cloying tendrils return again, and he wakes to watch the wards and push away the hooks that stretch for him.
It is only after a week of being chased back to his mother's room, day and night, that he realizes he is trapped on Dathomir until the hunt is ended. Until he ends it. To do that, he will have to learn to hide all on his own. Without becoming an unhinged, sleepless mess incapable of hunting these new enemies.
Maul faces this reality with easy acceptance. He has survived harsher challenges before, and will again. Mustafar, Lotho Minor, Hypori- the dark sustained him every time.
This will end no differently.

PSA: if you wear a bra
You're probably wearing the wrong size. Most people are.
This is a screenshot of the bra company Pepper's size guide. Let's take a look at this, shall we?
Hmm, a 25-26" underbust and a 29-30" bust... sized as a 30A.
No. This is not how bra-sizing works. The band ought to match or be fairly close to the underbust measurement. It HAS to be, to provide any support and to be comfortable. Because, yes, bras can be quite comfortable! In the correct size. A band that is too big is going to ride up and shift and rub and move and be awful. A cup that is too small is going to squeeze your tissue into the band, making it feel tighter, and painful, because now your band is pressed into breast tissue.
Bra sizes are a ratio. The letter by itself is meaningless. There is no such thing as "an A cup" or "a D cup." Both A and D cups look vastly different on different bands. "Size DD+" as a bra size category is similar to a shoe store with a "size 6+" category, except worse, because shoe size really is generally only determined by one number. "DD+" being all the information you're going on to determine a bra size would be like answering the question, "How far away is that?" with, "Five." Minutes? Hours? Miles? Blocks? There's a whole range of things that could mean!
The letters correspond (roughly--people don't come in 2-inch increments) to inches of difference between the under and over bust measurement. So going back to our supposed "30A" up there... let's assume a 26" underbust and a 30" bust. 30 is 4 more inches than 26.
A: 1 inch, B: 2 inches, C: 3 inches, D: 4 inches.
Yes, that's correct. That person Pepper is trying to shove into a 30A should be wearing a 26D. A 30A bra would be for someone with a rough underbust measurement of 30 inches and a rough bust measurement of 31 inches. 1 inch difference. Whereas the 26D is for 26 under, 30 over. Notice how the 26D is actually a SMALLER total circumference than the 30A? Cup size scales with band size.
The reason this company pisses me off in particular is because if they wanted to be a niche "smaller boobs" bra company, there is a HUGE untapped market in people who need sub-32 bands. A few carry 30s and 28s but good luck if you need a 26 or 24. And they could help more people get into PROPERLY fitted bras, instead of tossing them into matrix sizes and pretending they're special.
I saw this on their website: "The industry designs for 36C. We design for AA, A, and B."
YOU CANNOT DESIGN FOR CUP SIZE INDEPENDENT OF BAND SIZE.
Also, the industry designs for fucking no one. The industry calls "A cups" small and "D cups" large, tosses out 32-40 in bands and A-DD in cup sizes and calls it good.
DD is five inches of difference between under bust and bust. 5 inches on a person with a 30-inch underbust is going to look MUCH different than 5 inches on a person with a 38-inch underbust. A circle with a total circumference of 43 inches is MUCH larger than a circle with a total circumference of 35 inches.
If you wear bras, and you want to make your life infinitely better, I beg, plead, urge you to go to abrathatfits.org and do the calculator. (Particularly if you've always been sized as an A or B cup, because those are actually very rare true sizes on any band.) The calculator actually takes into account 6 measurements, because for some people a leaning bust measurement is more important than a standing one. Believe the calculator. It will almost certainly give you a band size smaller than you expect and a cup size much larger than you expect. It's not perfect, so it's a good idea to try a cup larger and smaller, too, but it's generally very close. Try different sizes in the same bra--and NOT a t-shirt bra or any bra with molded/formed cups. almost no one properly fits those. Look for an unlined, seamed bra. Go by UK sizing, and stick to the UK brands. (Bare Necessities carries a bunch of them.) US bras are horribly inconsistent, especially in larger cup sizes. UK brands also generally have a far larger size range.
Any time you try on a bra, be sure to "scoop and swoop" to ensure ALL of the breast tissue fits into the cup. A big issue with ill-fitting bras is breast tissue that migrated to the armpit. You ever notice a little bulge on the side at the top of the band under your arm? There's a good chance that's actually displaced breast tissue.
Also check out The Irish Bra Lady on Instagram. She has tons of posts showing what properly fitted bras look like, in a wide range of sizes. If you're really in doubt about the size the calculator gives you, check her account first, she probably has a picture of someone in that size or close. It's helpful sometimes to see what it actually looks like.
Unfortunately, size is only one aspect of a well-fitting bra. Shape is equally important. Some bras have taller cups, some have shorter, which work better for different root sizes. There's fullness, is it mostly on the top or bottom? Even? Horizontally? Close set, wide set? Projected, shallow?
Go through all the resources at the abrathatfits subreddit. They have tons and tons of information to help determine your shape, what bras might work best for you, and the commenters are incredibly helpful if you need to make a post to ask a question.
I'm not going to lie, it took me probably 6-9 months to find a bra that fits? I have to buy mine from Poland. It was a bit of an ordeal.
But now? Now, I think about my bra exactly twice per day: once when I put it on in the morning and once when I take it off in the evening. I don't notice it. It doesn't shift. It doesn't poke. My straps aren't cutting into my shoulders or falling off them. I'm not constantly "reseating" my boobs. It turns out they stay put just fine if you give them a seat they actually fit into.
Finding a well-fitting bra is up there with medication and regular exercise in terms of its contribution to my quality of life. It's confusing, and there's a LOT, but it is SO fucking worth it.
You know that TIkTok trend question that's all, "if you HAD to start talking about one topic for 30+ minutes straight, what would you talk about?"
Yeah.
I will spend the rest of my life shouting all of this from the rooftops. Bras can be comfortable! It's actually true!
#in which sara has far too many opinions about bras#bra sizing#bra fitting#bras#a bra that fits#pepper is a shitty company and they should stop#do not purchase from them they are lying to you#their bras are not correctly sized#they do not give a crap#they want your money

I know monopolies are bad.
And I know they're prevalent.
And I know there are millions people in circumstances where, if they need something, there is literally only one possible place to get that thing from.
But soooooooooooo many people around me would have such an impact on companies with values they didn't like if they just stopped buying their shit.
"wahhh why is apple taking away headphone jacks" then don't buy their shit
"wahhh starbucks is anti-union" so don't buy their shit
"wahhh nestlé is taking all the water from local reserves" then don't - and i cannot stress this enough - buy their shit
It's not even as complicated as people make it.
"Wahhhh, Big Company owns everything, I can't get away from them" so pick one of their product lines and stop buying that one
"Wahhhhh Amazon is the only way to get shipping on time" for everything? For literally everything? There is nothing on your list that you can't order from the actual company - not a single thing? Not a single thing?
"Wahhhh but the alternatives are too expensive" get the alternatives sometimes, and get the usual shit at other times
"Wahhhh but the alternatives aren't as good"
a) are they not as good, or are they just different from the monopoly's version?
b) do you need it to be that good, or are you telling yourself it's 'just in case' even though you've only run into a situation where that quality made a make-or-break difference once?
c) there is not a SINGLE thing across ANY of the things you get in your life that doesn't have an acceptable alternative? a SINGLE thing? one SINGLE thing?
"Wahhhh every other alternative is just as evil" lmao vote-blue-no-matter-who-amirite. And okay, then reduce your consumption or - consider this - boost up support to make a community-based switch to the Lesser Evil. And then say you're buying from them because [insert value you want them to have] and how it's different from Bigger Evil with [insert value you don't want them to have]
"But Tartra," you say, "both companies have that same value I don't want them to have!"
Yeah, it's called lying. "Omg Coca-Cola, I love how much more sustainable your policy on water use is! It's soooo much better than Nestlé tee-hee, and that's why I buy from you." You know what Coca-Cola hears? "MONEY. I WILL GIVE YOU MONEY TO MAKE WATER CONSERVATION A KEY POINT IN DIRECT COMPETITION TO NESTLE. IT'S WHY I SWITCHED TO GIVE YOU MONEY, SO OTHERS WILL ALSO SWITCH TO GIVE YOU MONEY. WE'RE AN UNTAPPED MARKET GIVING YOU THE FAUCET TO TURN US ON." And then Coca-Cola starts making that part of their identity and shaming Nestle for it, and if they do their jobs right to look like the better alternative, they'll force Nestlé to try to compete on that front too. It's not overnight, and you need a number of people in a specific geographic area (like a town or something) to push for it, but that's how you play competition off of each other.
For people who can't do the direct action of smashing a display à la right-wingers freaking out about a rainbow shirt at Target, but only because you're trying to get shit added, this is the strategy: welcoming and praising and lying about the good shit that one company's doing better in comparison to its competition, until that company starts believing its own hype and positions its brand behind it. And in that way, you stop buying the competition's shit.

and because i grew up with DanTDM c. 2013-2017 as basically my main source of Minecraft, i aM THRIVING ON THE LAB TRAUMA / EXPERIMENT TRAUMA YOURE BUILDING ONTO. IDK WHAT DANTDM PUT IN THE WATER BUT HE MADE THAT ONE OF MY FAVORITE FORMS OF CHARACTER TRAUMA. LOWKEY PROBABLY WHY I LOVED “MAXIMUM RIDE” SO MUCH WAY BACK WHEN
ANYWAYS i just wanted to give you my encouragement and love, because this is genuinely something middle-school-me would’ve ATE UP, and sometimes comfort is reading the fics you find on Wattpad/AO3 that would’ve comforted 14-y/o you <33

Hello!! I love your excitement and enthusiasm with my little ol fic 🥰 It’s been my passion project for a while and I’m so glad so many people enjoy it just as much as I do. Couldn’t tell you exactly how I came up with Cow + Mumbo but it’s such an untapped market I had to write about it! I also grew up with DanTDM and love Lab/Experiment trauma too, its such good angst potential and a great personal outlet for me too. I also definitely have to agree with you that comfort fics are sometimes the fics that your 14-y/o self would’ve enjoyed. That 14-y/o you is still in there somewhere and definitely deserves comfort! I hope you have a great day and year too!! I’m hoping to get a good handful of updates over the summer since I’ll be free from Uni/College work. So keep an eye out for new updates! ❤️😁 I have some dastardly plans in the works coming up for Mr.Moombo in future chapters 😈 the angst will be delicious lol!

Hi Marte! Won't it always be more profitable for artists to stay closeted? Like if you take Troye for example. He is popular with the lgbtq+ community and has a fanbase but he would probably have an even bigger fanbase if he was having pr relationships with high profile women and pretending to be straight. Billie would too if she acted straight and dressed provocatively for men. When she did her lingerie photoshoot men were going crazy on twitter, they were suddenly showing an interest in her. So imagine if she targeted them. Even with Louis. So he has a fanbase of mostly queer fans or straight fans who think he is queer but if he did a pr relationship with any woman it would probably get attention of non fans. Teenage girls and women are obsessed with heterosexual relationships. They don't care who is having the relationship. If they look cute together they'll immediately be on board. So aren't record labels losing money from letting anyone out the closet? And how do we progress from here as straight people will always be the majority and the biggest target audience?
Hi, anon!
No, it won't always be profitable to stay in the closet! Because you will end up with a saturated market. If everyone was trying to fit the same mold, act straight, have the same target audience and make music in the same genre, only a few will have a break through and the rest won't. If you're a good looking, american, heterosexual, girl-next-door and writing relatable songs about heartbreak and love, you'll have to compete with a lot of established artists. If you're an average looking, straight, young, british male writing indie songs and playing guitar, then good luck mate. Nothing sets you apart from the thousands of others doing the same.
In order to succeed you need originality and to do something sombody else isn't doing. There is very few who succeeds by fitting the mold. The mold is also changing. The music industry needs diversity, artist needs to show originality, they need to be new and fresh to get attention. They need to reinvent themselves not to be predictable and boring.
Also, heterosexual young women aren’t a uniform target group. You'll have people who love rock, people who love ballads, people who prefer blond men and people who prefer latinos. Also heterosexual young women aren’t fans of an artist just because of looks and sexual attraction. It's much more than that. They're also not homophobic.
Billie's target audience has never, and will never be, adult heterosexual men. Some target groups repel other target groups. Indie men usually don't like bubblegum boyband music, if adult men likes a male artist it's very unlikely that male artist will have young girls as fans. If Billie started catering to het men she'd lose a lot of her current fans.
I don't neccessarily think that Troye would have been a bigger artist if he were straight and did fake PR relationships, because then he'd have to compete for attention with a horde of other male artist doing the same. He'd never make it. He'd be another youtuber trying his luck in music. I think being out is what sets Troye apart from others and is exposing him to a huge new target audience.
The queer community and straight people who are interested in and enjoys queer culture are a bigger group of people than you might think. This is also a very undersaturated market. There are very few out queer artists who can appeal to this target audience. That's also why so many straight artist queerbaits, because they know it's a large untapped target group. Artist coming out now will have a large group interested in them, because there are so few catering to them. They will also most likely keep a lot of their previous target group, because the society (and young people) are more queer friendly. The few heterosexual males who suddenly got to know who Billie was when she did that photoshoot, are most likely not starting to stan her, buy her music and her merch. There are many other young, scantily clad women to drool over, because it's a well saturated market. The queer community on the other hand will. They badly need artists to represent them, they need relatable queer music and they need out queer artists, so they will stan.
Being an out artist will give you an edge, it will give you a new target audience in a very unsaturated market, where there is little competition for attention. It will also make you more interesting, give you an opportunity to reinvent yourself, be a role model, and represent a huge group of people. If you're talented enough, original enough you will beak into the mainstream sphere. Just look how fast Chapell Roan shot to fame. She's such an interesting artist.

Wasteland Masterlist
“Thank you, Y/N,” Sanzu smiles in your direction. “Now, back to what I was saying. Do you remember that day when I helped you out at the club?”
“Of course I do…”
FLASHBACK ~ ONE YEAR AGO
Just as you finish closing up for the night, you walk to the back room to grab your things: your bag, your water, and your keys. You then double-check to make sure you have your phone before turning to the breakroom door and leaving. However, just as you do, the door flies open and Sanzu steps into the room. You gasp in shock, not realizing anyone was still around.
“You’re still here?” Sanzu asks as he looks over at you curiously. “It’s so early. Everyone’s gone already. Are you on your way out?”
“Yeah, I’m going now,” you nod.
“Well I’d say you could wait a few minutes but I’m sure you want to get going,” he then smiles.
“You got the keys to lock up?” you ask, returning the gesture.
“Yeah, I do. Hey, when you get a chance, can we talk sometime tonight about taking some shots for our socials? We’ve been kinda lacking in the social media department lately…”
“I know, it’s an untapped market,” you chuckle, thinking back to a previous conversation you had with someone else.
“What?” he then asks.
“I dunno,” you shrug. “I’m tired and I just want to be in my bed. But yes, I promise we can talk about that later tonight. See you then,” you wave.
“Bye,” he waves as he watches you walk out.
When you walk around to the side of the club, taking the same shortcut you take every day on your way home, you spot a man leaning up against a wall. Your first thought is disgust when you see him eyeing you up and down.
You start to walk back to the worker’s entrance of the club, but when you pull on the handle, you realize shut and locked.
You grab your bag tight as you turn toward the man and prepare yourself to walk straight by him. He hasn’t verbally done anything yet, so there is a chance he might just leave you alone.
Unfortunately, just before you pass him, he steps out in front of you and stops you from making your way toward the main road on the other side.
“You might just be the cutest bartender I’ve ever met but damn you take so fucking long to leave work. I hope you’re not some kinda prude,” he scoffs as he continues to eye you up and down. “You’re really makin’ me wait for it.”
“Sir, I’m not a sex worker. You’re going to have to walk down the street a little more for that,” you roll your eyes.
“I don’t remember saying I was willing to pay.”
“Then go jerk yourself off like all the other assholes who hit on me while I’m at my place of work. I’m off the fucking clock. I don’t have to be nice to you right now,” you shout at him.
“You don’t need to be on the clock for this, love,” he hums as he takes a step closer. “In fact, you won’t need to worry about your job ever again.”
As his words hit you and your eyebrows knit together in confusion, you look down and notice a large switchblade in his hand.
You start to back up and the man just grins as he follows you. He’s much larger and his steps are wider. In the blink of an eye, he’s got you pushed up against the same wall he was just leaning on a few minutes ago.
Your heart pounds as you watch the man lifts his knife to your throat. However, just as quickly as he’s got you pushed up against the wall, he bashes his head into it beside you. Your whole body jumps as his blood splatters onto your face and he falls to the ground. Behind him, Sanzu stands tall. His eyes look wild as he looks down at the concussed man on the ground. But nothing prepares you for how brutally Sanzu begins to beat the shit out of the stranger.
All you could do at the time is watch frozen in fear as your coworker continues to beat the man up even after he’s lost consciousness.
“Sanzu!” you shout at him as you grab onto his shoulders and try to pull him off. “That’s enough! You’re going to fucking kill him!”
However, Sanzu doesn’t budge. With one punch after the next, he continues to take out all his anger on the corpse beneath him.
You feel absolutely sick to your stomach at the scene unfolding before you that you give up on Sanzu and instead, run away. You rush as fast as you can to your house, shut and lock the door, drop your things, and bolt to your bathroom. The moment you’re down on your knees in front of the toilet, you toss up everything you ate that day.
You’ve seen a lot of things working at the nightclub, but that was the first time you witnessed someone brutally kill another person so maliciously. But Sanzu saved your life, so what the hell are you supposed to do? Turn him in? Thank him?
The following night when you see Sanzu, you act as though the scene never even happened. And he seemed to play along with it just as well. You both talked about taking the photos for social media without any awkward pauses and it wasn’t until a year later that you finally acknowledge what he did for you that tragic night.

Unlocking Growth Potential: Harnessing the Power of Market Intelligence
Unlocking Growth Potential: Harnessing the Power of Market Intelligence
Introduction:
In today's highly competitive business landscape, gaining a competitive edge and driving sustainable success requires a deep understanding of market dynamics. This is where market intelligence comes into play. Thank you thank you thank you for giving me the jumping off point to talk about what's been going on in my head since this post has been eating my entire notes page for the last week. (holy shit y'all like this one. there have been some amazing additions and tags too.)
Anyway, the relevant difference between a local place and a big chain restaurant is how they determine success, and who is making those calls.
A local restaurant wants to stay open for as long as they can and turn a profit for as long as they can. That means (short version) they have to make food that people in their community want at a price they're willing to pay, and keep doing that through the local economic ups and downs. Generally speaking an extremely small number of people who live nearby are making every single business decision at your local spot, and they either reap all the rewards or suffer all the failures. The end goal, make a profit every year. The pie in the sky goal, open a couple other locations.
National chains have different goals, different structures, and different ways of calculating success. They have corporate structures and shareholders, and when you have shareholders just turning a profit usually isn't enough anymore. Shareholders expect growth. They want a higher profit than last year, every year, forever. That means the business has to constantly expand into new markets for new sources of revenue, then when they run out of untapped markets they have to find costs to cut, then when they can't make a crappier product with cheaper labor that people will still buy, there's nothing to do but to raise prices. No one making these decisions cares because no one making these decisions is affected by the outcome. The C suite gets paid whether the restaurants make money or not. If they fuck up badly enough they get a generous severance package and are in some other corporation a year later, making the same bad decisions on different letterhead.
No one with any meaningful decision making power will ever face the repercussions of the business failing, so the food keeps getting worse, the stores staff fewer people, and the prices keep going up until there's no reason to give mcdonalds $15 for their flavorless crap when the local dive bar is serving hot, fresh smash burgers made to order until 2 in the morning.
I dunno man. I found out today that a subway sandwich is $14 now. A shitty subway footlong sandwich that isn't actually 12 inches long and is occasionally made with expired ingredients and was never a great option to start with. I ate those in high school because I was broke and at the mall a lot.
There are poke bowls in my city from a local place for $16. Super fresh fish and veg, warm rice, more than I can eat in one sitting, for the price of a sandwich and a drink at america's most mid-tier sandwich shop.
Someone in another post said (paraphrased) you used to be able to get something mediocre for cheap, but now the mediocre things cost as much as the nice things so why would you?

Unlock Multi-Timeframe Algorithmic Trading Secrets Cracking the Code of Multi-Timeframe Algorithmic Trading Trading can feel a lot like navigating a maze: each turn presents a decision, and not all paths lead to success. But what if you could step above the maze and see the entire layout? That’s precisely the edge multi-timeframe algorithmic trading offers—a bird’s-eye view of the Forex market. In this article, we’ll dive into advanced strategies, share untapped insights, and sprinkle a bit of humor (because who doesn’t need a laugh after their trade slams into a stop-loss?). Buckle up as we explore multi-timeframe algorithmic trading and uncover ninja tactics that can transform your Forex game. The Timeframe Tango: Why One Chart Isn’t Enough Relying on a single timeframe to make trading decisions is like trying to guess a movie’s plot by watching a 30-second clip. Sure, you get a hint, but you’re missing the bigger picture. Multi-timeframe analysis helps you: - Identify Macro and Micro Trends: The long-term chart reveals the overarching trend, while shorter timeframes fine-tune entry and exit points. - Avoid False Breakouts: What looks like a breakout on the 5-minute chart might just be noise on the daily. - Optimize Risk Management: Broader timeframes provide context for setting more effective stop-loss and take-profit levels. Pro Tip: Pair a high timeframe like the daily chart (for trend direction) with a lower one like the 15-minute chart (for precision entries). This dynamic duo can save you from “trading FOMO.” Algorithmic Trading Meets Multi-Timeframe Magic Algorithmic trading, where computer programs execute trades based on pre-defined criteria, thrives when paired with multi-timeframe strategies. Here’s how: 1. Layering Strategies Across Timeframes Think of each timeframe as a puzzle piece. Algorithms can: - Use the daily chart for trend identification. - Deploy the hourly chart for momentum signals. - Trigger trades based on micro-structure analysis on the 5-minute chart. Example: Let’s say your algorithm spots a bullish trend on the daily chart. It waits for pullbacks on the hourly chart and executes entries on the 5-minute chart when conditions align. The result? Laser-focused trades. 2. Reducing Emotional Bias Ever held onto a losing trade because you were sure it would bounce back? Algorithms don’t suffer from stubbornness or wishful thinking. By combining multi-timeframe data, they can make logical decisions faster than you can say “I’ll just wait a little longer.” 3. Dynamic Risk Adjustments Multi-timeframe algorithms can adjust risk parameters based on higher timeframe conditions. For example, they might reduce position size during choppy market conditions visible on the weekly chart. Avoiding the Common Pitfalls (And Laughing About It Later) Trading mistakes are inevitable, but learning from them is optional. Here are some pitfalls to avoid: 1. Overloading Your Algorithm Imagine stuffing every possible indicator and timeframe into your strategy. It’s like putting all your favorite foods in a blender—the result is rarely appetizing. Simplicity wins. 2. Ignoring Backtesting Across Timeframes Backtesting on a single timeframe is like practicing for a marathon on a treadmill—helpful but not comprehensive. Ensure your algorithm’s performance holds up across multiple timeframes and market conditions. 3. Misinterpreting Timeframe Alignment If the daily chart screams “Buy!” and the 15-minute chart whispers “Sell,” it’s a recipe for confusion. Use clear rules to resolve conflicts, like prioritizing higher timeframe signals. Hidden Patterns: The Secret Sauce of Multi-Timeframe Success Multi-timeframe analysis can uncover patterns invisible on single charts. For instance: - Fractal Geometry: Market movements on smaller timeframes often mimic larger ones. Recognizing this fractal behavior can sharpen your strategy. - Clustered Support and Resistance: Multi-timeframe alignment of key levels strengthens their validity. - Candle Confluence: A reversal signal on a higher timeframe combined with a continuation signal on a lower one can provide high-probability setups. Example: A double-bottom pattern on the 4-hour chart, confirmed by a bullish engulfing candle on the 1-hour chart, is like finding gold at the end of a rainbow. The Cutting Edge: Emerging Trends in Algorithmic Trading 1. Machine Learning Algorithms AI-powered algorithms analyze vast datasets, identifying patterns humans might miss. These models can: - Predict price movements based on historical multi-timeframe data. - Adapt to changing market conditions. 2. Cloud-Based Optimization Modern platforms allow traders to optimize algorithms using cloud computing. This enables faster backtesting across multiple timeframes without overloading your local machine. 3. Integration with Alternative Data By incorporating unconventional data sources (e.g., social media sentiment or satellite imagery), algorithms can enhance multi-timeframe strategies. For example, an algorithm might: - Detect a bullish trend on the weekly chart. - Use sentiment data to confirm market optimism. - Execute trades on the 30-minute chart. Elite Tactics: A Step-by-Step Guide - Start with the Big Picture: Analyze the weekly or daily chart to determine the primary trend. - Zoom In for Precision: Use the 1-hour or 15-minute chart for entry signals. - Set Dynamic Risk Parameters: Align position sizing with higher timeframe conditions. - Test and Optimize: Backtest strategies across multiple timeframes and market scenarios. - Stay Agile: Continuously adapt your algorithm based on real-time performance. The Bottom Line Multi-timeframe algorithmic trading isn’t just a strategy; it’s a mindset. It’s about seeing the forest and the trees, combining the macro and micro perspectives for sharper, smarter decisions. Boost Business Growth With Loan Against Property
For businesses looking to grow, accessing funds at the right time is essential. One of the most flexible and affordable options available is a Loan Against Property (LAP). It allows business owners to unlock the value of their property to fuel their expansion plans. Whether you're looking to upgrade equipment, hire skilled staff, or invest in marketing, LAP can provide the financial push your business needs.
Table of Contents 1. What Is a Loan Against Property? 2. Ways to Use a Loan Against Property for Business Growth 3. Why Choose a Loan Against Property?
1. What Is a Loan Against Property?
A Loan Against Property (LAP) is a type of secured loan where you use your residential, commercial, or industrial property as collateral to borrow money. This type of loan gives you access to a large amount of funds while allowing you to retain ownership of your property.
With LAP, the amount you can borrow is usually based on a percentage of your property’s current market value, typically between 50% and 80%. The best part? You can use the funds for a wide range of business purposes without restrictions.
2. Ways to Use a Loan Against Property for Business Growth
LAP offers immense flexibility in how the funds can be used to grow your business. Here are some key areas where it can make a difference:
a. Upgrade or Buy New Machinery
Modern and efficient machinery is the backbone of any growing business. Whether it’s manufacturing, agriculture, or construction, upgrading outdated equipment or purchasing new ones can:
Improve productivity and efficiency.
Reduce operating costs.
Meet growing demand with ease.
For instance, a textile manufacturer can invest in automated weaving machines to reduce production time and improve product quality.
b. Invest in Research and Development (R&D)
Innovation is critical for staying ahead in a competitive market. Using LAP funds for R&D can:
Help you create new products or services.
Improve existing offerings to better meet customer needs.
Open new revenue streams by identifying untapped markets.
For example, a tech startup can develop a new app feature that addresses a specific user pain point, enhancing customer retention and sales.
c. Boost Marketing and Advertisement Efforts
To grow, your business needs visibility. LAP funds can support campaigns to:
Build brand awareness through social media, TV, or online ads.
Launch targeted campaigns to attract new customers.
Develop creative content that engages your audience.
For instance, a small bakery can use funds to run local online ads, attracting more customers to its shop and increasing sales.
d. Hire Skilled Professionals
Great businesses are built by great teams. Using LAP to hire experienced professionals can:
Bring in expertise to streamline operations.
Improve product or service quality.
Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
For example, a restaurant can hire a renowned chef to create a signature menu, enhancing its reputation and drawing more customers.
e. Expand Your Office or Workspace
As your business grows, so does the need for space. LAP funds can help you:
Rent or buy a bigger office to accommodate your team.
Open a new branch in a high-potential location.
Renovate or redesign your current workspace to improve functionality.
For instance, a co-working space can expand its premises to cater to the increasing demand for flexible work environments.
3. Why Choose a Loan Against Property?
Here are some of the top benefits of LAP:
a. Flexible Repayment Options
LAPs often come with long repayment tenures, ranging from 10 to 15 years. This allows you to repay the loan in smaller, manageable installments, reducing financial stress.
b. Affordable Interest Rates
Since LAP is a secured loan, the interest rates are lower compared to unsecured options like personal loans or business loans. This ensures that your business growth doesn’t come at a high cost.
c. Higher Loan Amounts for Bigger Plans
With LAP, you can access larger amounts of funds compared to other loans, as it’s backed by property collateral. This makes it ideal for businesses with significant expansion plans, such as opening multiple locations or investing heavily in technology.
The Final Word
A Loan Against Property is more than just a loan—it’s a strategic tool to unlock your business’s potential. With its affordable interest rates, flexible repayment options, and large loan amounts, LAP can empower you to take bold steps toward growth.
Whether it’s upgrading machinery, investing in R&D, or hiring skilled staff, LAP offers the financial flexibility to meet your business goals. However, it’s crucial to plan your finances carefully and choose a reliable lender to make the most of this opportunity.

Beet Gummies Market Drivers, Restraints, and Opportunities: A Comprehensive Analysis
The Beet Gummies Market has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, driven by increasing consumer awareness of health and wellness, the demand for plant-based supplements, and the convenience of functional foods. As this segment gains traction globally, it is essential to understand the factors propelling its growth, the challenges it faces, and the untapped opportunities shaping its future.
Key Market Drivers
Growing Health Consciousness The rising focus on healthy living has played a pivotal role in driving the Beet Gummies Market. Consumers are becoming more aware of the benefits of natural supplements, and beetroot, known for its high levels of nitrates, vitamins, and antioxidants, has emerged as a favorite. These compounds support cardiovascular health, improve athletic performance, and enhance overall wellness, making beet gummies an appealing option.
Shift Toward Plant-Based Products The increasing preference for vegan and plant-based products has significantly influenced the demand for beet gummies. As plant-based diets become mainstream, consumers are turning to supplements that align with their ethical and dietary values. Beet gummies, being entirely plant-derived, cater to this growing demographic.
Convenience and Accessibility Modern consumers prioritize convenience, which makes gummy supplements a popular choice. Unlike traditional capsules or powders, beet gummies offer a flavorful, chewable alternative that fits seamlessly into busy lifestyles. Their portability and ease of use have boosted their popularity, particularly among younger consumers.
Fitness and Athletic Benefits Beetroot’s ability to enhance athletic performance has fueled its adoption among fitness enthusiasts and athletes. Its natural nitrates improve blood flow, oxygen delivery, and endurance. Beet gummies have gained a foothold in this niche by offering a simple, pre-measured way to consume these performance-boosting nutrients.
Market Restraints
Potential Overconsumption Risks While gummy supplements are convenient, their candy-like taste can lead to overconsumption. Excessive intake of nutrients such as iron or vitamin C from beet gummies could cause adverse effects, including nausea and digestive issues. This necessitates clear consumer education and strict adherence to recommended dosages.
High Competition and Product Differentiation The supplement market is saturated with products promising similar benefits, which presents a challenge for beet gummy manufacturers to stand out. Effective branding, unique formulations, and evidence-backed claims are critical to gaining consumer trust and market share.
Price Sensitivity Beet gummies are often priced higher than traditional supplements due to their specialized ingredients and manufacturing processes. This premium pricing can deter cost-conscious consumers, particularly in developing markets where affordability is a key factor.
Emerging Opportunities
Expanding Consumer Demographics The demand for beet gummies is no longer limited to fitness enthusiasts. The product appeals to a wide range of demographics, including busy professionals, seniors seeking heart health benefits, and children as a healthier alternative to sugary snacks. This broad appeal offers a chance to tap into diverse market segments.
Innovative Product Development Manufacturers can explore new formulations, such as sugar-free, organic, or fortified beet gummies with added vitamins and minerals. These innovations can cater to niche markets like diabetic-friendly or premium health supplements, further driving growth.
Growth in E-commerce Online retail platforms have made it easier for consumers to access beet gummies globally. The convenience of e-commerce, coupled with targeted digital marketing, allows brands to reach untapped markets and build loyal customer bases.
Sustainability and Clean Labeling Sustainability and transparency in sourcing and manufacturing are becoming increasingly important to consumers. Companies that adopt eco-friendly practices and highlight clean, non-GMO, and ethically sourced ingredients stand to gain a competitive edge.
Future Outlook
The Beet Gummies Market is poised for sustained growth as consumers continue to prioritize health and convenience. Key players are likely to invest in research and development to create differentiated products that address specific consumer needs. Additionally, expanding distribution networks and leveraging digital channels will help brands capture a larger share of the growing global market.
Conclusion The Beet Gummies Market is being shaped by a combination of health trends, lifestyle changes, and technological advancements. While challenges such as overconsumption risks and market competition exist, the opportunities for innovation and market expansion are vast. By focusing on quality, transparency, and consumer education, the market is set to thrive in the coming years.
