Can we talk about how Kadar says to Altaïr in the beginning: "An excellent kill! Fortune favors your blade!", and then in the bureau with Malik, before Altaïr goes to meet "Robert", Malik says to him "Fortune favor your blade, brother."

And then THAT is what prompts Altaïr to actually finally apologize to him?

(It's these little things in the writing that make me go feral! Another one of my favorite parts is Altaïr and Malik calling each other "Dai" - Altaïr first calls Malik Dai before doing investigations during the Majd Addin mission, showing his character growth in how he's willing to humble himself in front of Malik by basically acknowledging him as a superior of sorts (he's even THANKING him here for his help - compare this to "I am your superior, in both title and ability! You should know better than to question me!"), and then when they last talk before Altaïr goes to confront Al Mualim, Malik calls HIM Dai, in turn acknowledging his growth 😭 I just... I love them so much, I don't even know what to do with myself anymore.)

Oh no, I’m realizing I’m starting to get a bit tired of seeing TF One megop/dpax stuff

It’s not that it’s bad or anything, but I’m coming to the realization that they tend to be the same few genres of images and comics. I’m trying to figure out how specifically to word what I mean, but it’s not coming to mind at the moment. But they sort of evoke the same ideas and feelings I think

Technically you could say this is true of other varieties of megop as well, but usually when we see those, they’ve already been fighting for a long period of time, so you’ve got their current dynamic and long time of being apart to work with, as well as their origins. With TF One, the breakup just started, so the timeline and dynamic that comes with it is significantly more condensed and limited. If that makes sense

I’m also not criticizing people who make their dpax/megop stuff like this, honestly I probably would too if I drew them more. It’s kind of just a product of the movie being an origin story and the dynamics only now shifting between the two. There’s a very clear way to do content about them in this movie

It’s just that I’ve noticed this, and now it makes me a bit more disinterested in this version of megop, at least for now. Makes me want to seek out other variations a bit more

Brother they actually issued a public apology. Pot is getting his Karas back. They noticed the damage thing was a total miss. Balance Patch coming December 23rd.

Now this doesn't necessarily mean we're getting all those Axl changes reverted, and quite frankly even if we don't, I wanna say this:

Honestly even if nothing changes about Axl (please at least make the new Rainwater routing consistent) like the adjustment towards the damage will help him a lot. Not sure if they will be touching Ramlethal at all or if they're gonna mess with that later on. Overall though, wow. We're getting over nightmares. I can't fucking believe it.

you can make fun of felix for sounding dumb when he speaks, he does say some very funny and questionable, somewhat bizarre things at times, but there's a certain point where I am going to judge you for it a little bit <3

What brushes or programs do you use? Sorry if you've already answered this before!

My brushes have changed a lot since the last time I shared 'em! I use Clip Studio Paint with a mixture of my own brushes (download) and some altered character pens from ×ェ× (download). Explanations n' samples below~!

For sketches I use my Brushy brush and a slightly altered version of ×ェ×'s character pens. My alterations to their pen were pretty minor - I reduced the variation in brush size, especially at the start and end of the stroke, to make it more like a standard lineart brush.

I use my Grain brushes and another altered brush to refine the lines. Instead of creating a new layer for my line art, I draw the line art on the same layer as my sketch. I use these brushes to draw and erase, adding and subtracting from my sketch to clean it up.

I don't use Rough or Bumpy too often, but they're good for cleaning up line art and creating fine detail. I use them to create intricate details and patterns that are actually just a bunch of little scribbles and loops when you zoom in
